She Will Deep-Fry Your Heart

Sami sighs, “Can’t things work out this time? God, please don’t let Tony ruin the happiness.”

Lucas walks in and asks what’s wrong. Sami panics because he saw the wedding dress.

Lucas says he’ll just look at her lips instead, “I gotta go or I’ll be waking down the aisle in my underwear
.”

“That would be fine with me,” says Sami, “Things are finally going our way
.”

Lucas goes to the door. “You know when things will really be great,” he asks.

Sami says, ““When we give Will a little baby brother or sister?”

“Yeah, that, too,” says Lucas, “But it will really be great when Stan is captured.” What would really be great would be to fire all the writers and get an intelligent plot.

Sami flashes back to becoming Stan. She tries to smile.

“Love you,” says Lucas.

He leaves. Sami breaks down.

Roman comes in, “What’s wrong?”

Billie goes into Chelsea’s room. Chelsea’s in bed. “Don’t worry,” she says, “There are no guys under my covers. No guy will ever look at me again when word gets out about what you did. I’ll be totally humiliated. My mother wanted me to be happy. She would have no problem with me getting together with Max. Get out and stay out of my life.”

Billie leaves Chelsea’s room. Patrick is in the hallway. He asks about the Georgia thing again. Billie thinks it would be too much of a coincidence for Chelsea to be Georgia. She thinks other girls would fit the mold better. Patrick thinks Billie is looking for other girls who are more like Billie wants Chelsea to be.

Caroline and Kate talk about John and Kate being engaged. Kate joins John in a booth. Kate tells John she thinks Caroline hates her. John says that’s not true. “You’re always right,” says Kate, “Not that that helps with Roman, though. Now that he’s pining away for Marlena.”

John asks, “What if all Marlena remembers is being in love with Roman?” Depends on which one. “Where does that leave you and me?”

Marlena wakes up and is startled by Dr. North sitting there. He says he’s watching sleeping beauty. He has made her some breakfast. Marlena is feeling embarrassed for bursting into tears last night.

“You were upset by what you remembered last night. Care to talk about it,” he asks.

“I’m afraid you’ll just laugh,” says Marlena.

“I promise I won’t.”

“I remembered being in love with you,” she says.

Lucas walks and makes notes in his PDA. He bumps into Nicole, “Not too happy because you got kicked out of your house,” he asks. How does he know? Did they get out a special edition of the Salem Inquirer announcing it? He picks up her purse and goes through it, “Oh, you’re loaded, two bucks. Look at you. You were once paid five million bucks to marry me. Now you’re broke. But I have a great kid and a great future.”

“You’re an idiot,” says Nicole, “You’re sleeping with your archenemy. You don’t know what I’m talking about, do you?”

“No,” says Lucas, “What are you getting at?”

“What’s it worth to you to find out?”

Sami says so many of her weddings have ended in disaster. I mean really, except for Daze, where else can you hear a statement like that?
What if something happens to this one?

“Nothing will happen,” says Roman, “I will walk you down the aisle, and I will finally have you off my hands for good,” He chuckles, “You know I’m kidding, but you are a handful. I noticed you got edgy seeing Tony in captivity.”

“The last time I saw him,” says Sami, “He was about to kill me along with the Keystone Cops.”

“It was the way he looked at you,” says Roman, “It looked like he might have known something the rest of us didn’t.”

“He hates me,” says Sami, “He could make up anything. Has he said anything yet?”

“No,” says Roman, “Why are you so worried about it? Sami, don’t tell me Tony has something on you.” Sami stares.

“I know something that would turn the whole world against Sami if they knew,” says Nicole. She flashes back to the Stan conversation. “I have this theory. Deep down people are born the way they are and stay the way they are. Lucas, she will deep-fry your heart and put it in a chowder at the Brady pub.” I feel a country-western song a-comin' on.

Kate tells John, “I think you could give Roman lessons in being an understanding husband.”

“Depending on what she remembers my marriage could be over. I’ve been reading about this kind of memory loss on the Internet. The person who comes back from a memory loss like this isn’t always the same. Marlena could be a woman with a completely different set of emotions,” says John.

Marlena says, “I remembered kissing you. It was very vivid and real. And intense. I was in love with you. I know you said that’s transference. I don’t really know you, do I?”

Alex says, “This transference is quite common in situations like this. You have a need to feel safe. I provide that. Go with it. Don’t fight the memories.”

“Yes,” says Marlena, “These feelings are really feelings I had for Roman or John. Does it mean something... who I remember being in love with first.”

“You might be remembering being in love with another man,” says Simon Legree.

Billie reminds Patrick, “Chelsea wasn't adopted.”

“OK,” says Patrick, “But Tony said you got a big clue, but not form him. You were the match for the blood transfusion, even though it was a very rare blood type. Maybe that wasn’t a coincidence.

Billie says, “I’m going to go find the one person who knows for sure.”

Patrick cleans the pool. Chelsea comes out in her teensy bathing suit, “Morning is my favorite time to swim too.” She decides to get some sun while he finishes. “Thank god Billie’s out of the house. Is it me or does she make things tense?”

Patrick scoops the muck out of the pool, “You’re not being fair to her.”

“Don’t tell me you’re hot for the wicked witch,” says Chelsea.

Billie is at the Salem jail to see Tony. “Well, you certainly took your time getting here,” he says.

Roman tells Sami she is making him nervous.

Sami says, “I already told you, Tony tried to make me come over to his side.” The dark side.

Roman asks, “What did he want you to do?”

“I don’t know,” says Sami, “I turned him down. I’m scared about what he might do now.”

“I will protect you,” says Roman, “But you have to tell the truth.”

“I am telling the truth,” she lies, “You have to know how hard that decision was. I wanted to get you and Mom back together. Wouldn’t that be great? Maybe we all could walk down the aisle together.”

“That would be science fiction,” says Roman, “Your mom is married to John. Stop daydreaming about that. Concentrate on being good to Lucas and being good in general.” He leaves.

Sami says, “I just can’t lose him again. I swear, if someone tries to come between Lucas and me... I’ll just have to kill them.” One trip to death row is never enough, is it?

Lucas says he’s not going to let Kate hurt him or Sami again. He leaves.

Nicole says, “The joke will be on you, Lucas. Man, I need a drink.” She goes into the pub.

John says, “I hope this isolation therapy does the trick.”

“Yeah,” says Kate, “I think Roman feels the same way. I don't think he ever got over loving Marlena.”

Marlena admires the flowers. They are familiar somehow.

Alex asks, “Are they bringing on some memory?”

“No,” she says, “Nothing specific. I just like the way they make me feel.”

“Good,” he says, “Let those sense memories wash over you.”

Marlena looks at him, “I don’t want to lose you... Oh, I’m sorry I said that. I’m just confused.”

He asks, “Will you trust me?”

“I do trust you,” says Marlena.

“The way to free your mind is to first free your body. You can start,” says Alex, “by taking off your clothes.”

“Say-wha...”

Kate says, “I can’t help but think I lost Roman a long time ago. I wonder if I ever had his love, or if I was what he settled for.”

John says, “Don't' sell yourself short. You’re a hell of a woman, Kate.” Did he mean a woman from hell?

“I guess I am,” she says with all due modesty, “I just should concentrate on getting my family back.”

He asks, “What can I do to help.”

“I wish you could help,” says Kate, “I’ll think of something.”

Kate watches Nicole drink. She tells John, “You know, I think everything will work out just the way it’s supposed to. If you need to talk...”

“It works both ways,” he says.

Roman comes in. There is a chill in the air as he says, “Hello, Kate.”

“And you’re thinking,” says Kate, “What’s she doing in Ma’s pub? Well, I happen to like the omelets here.”

“These days,” he says, “I prefer to eat alone.”

Nicole swills the booze. “Hello Caroline,” she says, “What are you doing here? Or do you and Victor meet later for al little afternoon delight.”

Caroline huffs, “I’m not going to dignify that.” She takes Nicole’s credit card and goes over to make the charge. She finds out the card is no good, “Good for Victor.”

Kate comes up, “Put Nicole’s food on my card. I hate to see a woman kicked when she’s down. I’ve been there myself.”

Nicole the diplomat says, “You were down and out because I replaced you in Victor’s bed. What are you up to?”

“I could use your services,” says Kate.

“Why do I get the feeling I’m going to regret this,” asks Nicole.

Billie wants the truth. She takes Tony’s hand, “I remember the old Tony. I’m not leaving until I get it.”

Nicole eats and asks what Kate’s offer is.

“I’m offering you a chance to put Sami’s head on a platter,” says Kate.

“No deal,” says Nicole.

John goes over to Roman, “Still freezing Kate out? You want my wife back.”

“Not true,” says Roman, “But she was my wife until you took her away. In her state of mind who knows what’s going on in her heart? You went along with the isolation therapy. That doesn’t make a lot of sense unless you just want to get her away form me.”

“She’s my wife,” says John, “It was my decision to make.”

“If she gets hurt up there then that’s also your responsibility,” says Roman.

Dr. North says, “I didn’t mean that the way it sounded. What I meant was, you should take a long hot bath.” He escorts her into the bathroom.

Outside, he says to himself, “This is going even better than I thought.”

Marlena bathes. She remembers a romantic bath with Alex.

John says, “Dr. North is the number one specialist in his field. I’m paying him a fortune. The fact is, I would give him everything I have if it would help Marlena. What is your problem?”

Roman says, “Even specialists can have ulterior motives. We don't know about this guy. What if he’s not trustworthy?”

Kate asks if Nicole doesn’t remember their last conversation, “We know you have dirt on Sami, so tell me what it is, and I’ll owe you. You look like a woman who could use any favor she could get right now.”

Lucas comes back and announces, “I just talked to my sister about Tony.”

“What did Tony say,” asks Sami.

Chelsea lathers up with sunscreen, “Billie is too old for you.”

Patrick says, “Billie and I are the same age.”

“I didn’t want to get into all this,” says Chelsea, “But she is ISA. Doesn’t that make you nervous?”

“Why should it?”

“You and I have a lot in common,” says the wise old gal, “Neither of us plays by the rules. We bend the law a little bit if it’s worth it. Why do you want to be with a rulebook type when you could be with someone made for you?” She puts his hand on her shoulder.

Billie asks about Georgia, “I have waited 18 years to be with my daughter. Don't be a bastard, Tony.” She gives him her wounded puppy eyes, “Tell me who she is.”

Sami says, “DiMera is such a slime ball. He would say anything.”

“No,” says Lucas, “He won't talk at all. He will eventually give up Stan's identity. He has to.”

Sami asks, “Can’t we forget about Tony? Hasn’t he ruined our lives enough already?” She kisses him, “Don't' we deserve to be happy?”

“Yes we do,” says Lucas, as he carries her into the bedroom.

Kate says, “If you take this money, you have to come through. I don't want to see Lucas with Sami again.”

Nicole snaps up the money from the table, “I’m sworn to secrecy. Someone else knows the truth about Sami. Think dastardly evil bastard. Anything come to mind? It will, if you think about it long enough. It’s the worst person Sami could have gotten in cahoots with. Everyone in Salem will hate her for it.”

Nicole leaves. Kate says, “Only Tony DiMera fits that description. OMG Tony DiMera.”

“I’ll tell you,” says Tony, “But I’m not sure you want to hear it. You asked for it. Your daughter's name is Chelsea Benson.”

Chelsea sells herself to Patrick. She kisses him. He goes along.

Caroline breaks up the boys, “Whatever happens with Marlena will happen. There is no use the two of you fighting.”

Roman says, “Ma is right. She usually is. I’m on edge. I have been since I broke up with Kate.”

“That was your mistake,” says John.

“That is my problem,” says Roman. Riveting dialogue, isn’t it?

John says, “We have to trust Dr. North. What choice do we have?”

Dr. North arranges flowers as Marlena walks out. She feels more relaxed. She stares at him.

He asks, “Do you remember something?”

She says, “I remember... doing this.” she kisses him.

Chelsea advises Hope, “If I were you I would be focused on your own husband. For all you know, Bo could be cheating on you right now. Do you even know where he is?”

Bo tells Billie, “If it turns out Chelsea is our daughter, and he touches her again, he’s a dead man.”

“You are not a terrible person,” says Alex. “What must you think of me,” says Marlena, “I feel like a cheap whore.”

Oh that stroll down memory lane by Squints in the picture was great!

Billie playing by the rules? Chlesea really doesn't know Billie very well!

It's funny. Now that A/R is back on the show, when I read "Roman" I keep picturing him and not C/R. HAHAHA
