Reckless Stupidity

Stephanie is visiting Kayla in the hospital as Kayla reads her magazine article, "Ten ways to make sure your problem pregnancy crashes and burns." Stephanie says, "You're still thinking about what I told you, aren't you – about dad and his past?"

Oh, not at all. Kayla would never obsess about Patch cavorting with that tramp. She rages about the fact that he hung up on her.

"Maybe he just got disconnected," says Stephanie.

"He's always disconnected."

Stephanie says, "You can't possibly think there is something going on between dad and a crazy woman – I mean except for you."

Kayla starts to get out of bed. Stephanie yells, "What are you doing?"

Kayla says, "I'm going to find your father."

Stephanie asks, "And how exactly do you think you're going to do that?"

Kayla says, "I'll follow the scent of beer and cigars."

Bo rings for the nurse. Lexie comes in and he demands to be released.

Ava's doctor arrives. She's reluctant to have the session. The doctor thinks there is something going on. He thinks she's hiding something and decides to have a look around.

Hope tries to find a way out of her room. Patch knocks from outside the window, gives his dorky smile and says, "Let's go!"

Kayla keeps it up. She rings for the nurse and asks for the latest printout of the baby's heartbeat. The nurse gives it to her and Kayla decides things are fine. The nurse will report the great news to Dr. Edelman. She leaves.

Kayla decides everything is hunky dory and she can leave the hospital.

Lexie lectures. Bo insists he's fine, but Hope is missing. He can't let the cops step in, so there is only one thing to do – deal with it on his own. Lexie refuses to let him go. She threatens to restrain him. Bo says, "You can't hold me here against my will."

Lexie says, "Like hell I can't. I'll use the same tactics Hope has been using to hold you at home against your will all these years." Lexie leaves and Bo rips his tubes off. He remembers Patch telling him about the crazy lady from his past. "But I've gotta stop thinking about Kayla," thinks Bo, "and go find Hope."

Ava tells Sigmund to feel free to look around. He thinks she's playing him. He decides to go ahead with the session. She's reluctant because she thinks he's reporting it all back to Daddy. Sigmund thinks he may have to increase the dosage of her medicine. Ava rages. She just wants a normal life. The irony of that is she wants to be with Patch. Ava settles down and decides to go through with the session. Sigmund says, "Start by telling me why you're working so hard to distract me from all the tension I'm sensing in you."

Patch tells Hope he broke the window to escape. The alarm won't sound unless the window is opened. Hope runs over and turns up the radio. Angelo comes in and tells her to turn it down. She does and he leaves. Then she heads over, breaks the window and books.

Lexie comes back in and announces Abe is in court but Roman is on his way to the hospital. Lexie didn't tell him Hope is missing. Bo wants her back safely, so he can't involve the police. He's well aware of their track record. He asks her to call Roman and tell him he doesn't have to come there. He also wants Lexie to release him from the hospital.

Kayla is positive the baby is in no danger. Peanut isn't so sure. The nurse says things are back to normal only because she's been lying still. She threatens to slow down the paperwork if Kayla decides to sign herself out. The nurse leaves and Kayla goes off the deep end insisting she knows what she is doing. She asks for her phone. Stephanie hands it to her and Kayla calls Roman. She asks for him to stop by and, what a coincidence, Roman is already on his way.

Ava tells Sigmund she is bored and wants out. He says at the end of the last session, she was trying to remember something that happened before she was supposed to marry Patch. Ava can't remember what it was. Sigmund decides pills will do the trick.

Patch and Hope head for the hills.

Roman comes into Kayla's room. He tells them he's there because Bo wants to get out of the hospital. Kayla thinks anyone who would want out of the hospital before being ready to go is crazy. She tells Roman about the stalker and Patch hanging up on her. Roman tells Kayla Patch won't take unnecessary risks. Stephanie thinks both Kayla and Roman have been smoking something.

Roman tries to mitigate things, "I think Patch is just off doing something and I'm sure he will pay when he gets home to you."

"Coming home to me is punishment enough," says Kayla.

Roman wastes his breath as he tells Kayla not to do anything foolish. He'll do some looking around if she wants. Kayla brushes it all off and Roman leaves. Kayla insists she will do what Roman said. She asks Stephanie to get her some ice. Stephanie leaves and Kayla springs into action. Peanut fastens his seat belt.

Bo tells Lexie he doesn't want Roman in on this as Roman comes into his room. He wants to know what is going on. Bo says Lexie is being a mother hen. "Is there something I need to know," asks Roman.

Ava takes the meds and Sigmund asks her to try to remember. Ava says she can't.

Patch and Hope start to scale a brick wall but one of the henchmen stops them.

Lexie says she called Roman there to talk some sense into Bo. Roman isn't that long-winded. He tells Bo, "If you don't cut this out, "I'll lock you up."

"On what charge," snorts Bo.

"Reckless stupidity."

"If that were a crime," says Bo, "I'd be in prison for life."

"Worse yet," says Roman, "I'll tell Hope." Bo gets back in bed and vows to be a good boy.

As Roman leaves Bo whispers his thanks Lexie. Lexie follows Roman out the door.

Ava falls apart. Sigmund comforts her, "We'll keep working until we find the answer and," say it with him, I'll be there for you." He decides they should stop for today. He suggests she take a nap and keep taking the meds. Sigmund leaves. Ava calls for Angelo. He comes in and she says she told the shrink what he needed to hear to get him out of there. She demands Angelo go get Patch. He protests but agrees.

Stephanie comes back into Kayla's room and finds it empty.

Patch rushes Albert the creep and knocks him cold. He and Hope try to scale the wall again but Angelo and another guy catch them. Angelo pulls a gun, "Freeze or you're dead!"

Patch whispers, "Hope, keep moving."

Then nurse comes into Kayla's room and Stephanie tells her Kayla has flown the coop.

Kayla comes into Bo's room. She tells him about Patch hanging up on her. She knows Patch came to see Bo right before he disappeared. She thinks Bo knows where he is.

"I don't have a clue," says Bo, "I don't know where Steve is either."

Kayla wonders where Hope is. She thinks something is going on and demands Bo tell her, "They're in danger aren't they?"

Big George tells Ava Patch and Hope/Kayla have escaped. She rages for him to go find term.

Angelo and Mikey contain Patch and Hope and take them back to the house. On the way Angelo begs Patch to give him a reason to shoot him. Mikey takes care of the crumpled mass on the ground, formerly known as Albert the creep.

Lexie and Roman rush into Kayla's room. The nurse reports Kayla has been found in Bo's room. Roman thinks they are all overreacting. He knows Kayla is as stubborn as Bo and thinks they ought to leave them alone for a while.

As they stand there and talk, an orderly pulls out his cell phone and takes a picture of Stephanie.

Bo tells Kayla Ava has Hope, "Ava thinks Hope and Patch are married."

"Where would she get that idea," asks Kayla.

"From the look of pain on Patch's face," says Bo.

Angelo brings Patch and Hope back into the house. Ava lectures them for trying to escape. She sends Angelo out and says she says she knew Patch was lying to her. Patch backpedals and says she cares for Ava and he was just trying to help Hope/Kayla escape because she is pregnant. Hope plays along and says she just wants to get away from Ava and the two-timing bastard. Ava thinks Patch would say anything to get her to let Hope/Kayla go.

Patch is cornered, but the trusty 'Guy Manual' comes to the rescue, "How can we work things out as long as she is still here?"

"You have a point," says Ava, "We can never truly be happy as long as she's around. I'll just have my guards get rid of her."

"I don't want you to do that," says Patch, "But the world would thank you."

Bo tells Kayla they can't call the police. Kayla says she already told Roman and Roman thought Patch could handle things. Bo hopes Roman doesn't compare notes with Abe. He thinks he should get out of there. Kayla tells him that's nuts, but she will go instead. Bo tells her that's nuts. With peanut in the room, there are enough nuts in there to make a Stuckey's pecan log.

Lexie gets a page and leaves. Roman suggests he and Stephanie go get some coffee so Stephanie can tell all the juicy details about Tony and Anna. "Oh, that's right," says Stephanie, "You and Anna..."

"Were a bad match," says Roman. Stephanie is up for the coffee. She thinks she might get some juicy details herself. They walk past the guy with the phone, who looks at Stephanie's picture.

Patch says he loves Ava but won't let her threaten Hope/Kayla. Ava says it wasn't meant to be a threat. She just wants to be alone with him. She doesn't believe he loves her. Patch offers to prove it.

Angelo brings a phone in. Ava is delighted. Patch asks what's going on. Ava says this is her insurance policy. She shows Patch the picture of Stephanie, "That's Stephanie your daughter. If you try to escape again she's dead, and it will be your fault."

Ava rages. She just wants a normal life. The irony of that is she wants to be with Patch.

Prevuze hits the nail squarely on the head.

Roman tells Kayla Patch won't take unnecessary risks. Stephanie thinks both Kayla and Roman have been smoking something.

What ever they’ve been smoking, please pass some on to the rest of us. We’re going to need it to get through this episode.

"Reckless stupidity."

Isn’t that the motto of the Salem PD? I wonder what that would sound like in Latin.

Kayla tells him that's nuts, but she will go instead. Bo tells her that's nuts. With peanut in the room, there are enough nuts in there to make a Stuckey's pecan log.

Prevuze knows its way around hammers and nails, which makes Prevuze a regular Bob Vila.

Very funny photo and caption Bulldog!! I also really liked the “shock victim in ICU” news story. This story needs to be a Prevuze recurring feature. When the Sami/EJ/Lucas fracas heats up again, there are some readers who will have to be reminded on a regular basis that Daze is only a bloody soap opera.

Prevuze has once again provided a much needed service to us working stiffs. As our recording devices are working overtime to catch every scintillating moment of DOOL, we can thankfully read a delightful Prevuze recap. In so doing, we can make the informed decision to simply zap the entire episode so that we can watch Dancing with the Stars instead.

Yep, another day where Prevuze is better than the show.

Leslie, here's your (loose) Latin translation:

inconsideratus bardus

I actually took Latin in high school, but had to google for this one!

GGGRRRROOOOAAAANNNN!!!! I almost can't stand the thought of probably the next month of Bo and Kayla traipsing around, both holding their guts, trying to find Hope/Patch. It would be a hoot, tho, if Bo took off dragging his IV's and still wearing his hospital gown open in the back. HAHAHAHAHA

I agree with this Prevuism: "I'll just have my guards get rid of her."

"I don't want you to do that," says Patch, "But the world would thank you."

Also, Bo hopes Abe and Pard don't compare notes. Yeah, right, like two commanders in the Salem PD would ever do that!

Great Prevuze and pictures to start the week off great! Thanks!

Days Of Our Lives - An hour of your life, you'll never get back.

Thank GOD for you Prevuze! Without your daily postings we would have to actually watch the show.

It's nice to know we can depend on Bo to always run off half cocked, or in this case half dressed, to rescue the fair damsel Hope.

Give me a break. The woman is supposed to be a Salem cop isn't she? And unless I missed something kidnapping is still illegal right? As is holding someone against their will?

Show of hands, who thinks once Hope escapes she will run straight to the authorities, and return with back up to arrest Ava.

Lovely boost to a dreary day of Monday and work. LOL at all the pictures and great Prevuisms. I believe my favorite is the one with the Stuckey's pecan log. LOLOL

Patch knocks from outside the window, gives his dorky smile and says, "Let's go!"

Did they move Hope to a bottom floor? Looked like she was tree-top level the first time she tried to escape.

I don't see a single thing worth actually watching in this episode. Bless you, Prevuze for saving me from a fate worst than being banished to the Kate zone.

Here is another perfect example of why I love Prevuze and those who comment so much. Prevuze is fun, entertaining, and ever so educational. Thanks, Em!!!

Yeah, and the morning feed comes without all those moronic commercials. That means I have to keep my comprehension geared toward sub-moronic levels for the entire show. It's not a stretch.

I'm so bored of Patch and Kayla, sorry Payla fans. Though I think the guy who plays Steve is a pretty good actor. And Ava is getting old. I'm kind of bored of Bo and Hope, too. And EJ and Sami. Now John, I'm enjoying. But Marlena is boring me, also. Good Lord, I think the whole show is, well, pretty boring! Still, I'd rather see Nicole and Chloe have another food fight, or something.

If it weren't for Prevuze, I think I'd be bored to death. Thanks, Prevuze!
