Lobstercide

Carrie and Austin walk. Carrie says, "I can't believe you got me to stay up all night. I used to watch the sunrise here...and you know I'm not a morning person."

"Me either," says Austin.

"Nice memories," says Carrie.

"It's a perfect day to make new memories," says Austin, "A new dawn... and in a few hours what I put together will hit the news wire, after which the, uh, poop will hit the fan. And you are back in my life." Kiss.

Marlena stands over Claire's crib and smiles, "It looks like Claire is holding her own."

Belle says, "The transplant went well. Now it's wait and see."

Marlena tells Shawn she is so sorry about Zach, "But now Claire has a chance." Belle mentions Zach's blanket.

Phillip and Victor have gone to see a transplant specialist. Mimi has gone back to the loft to pick up some clothes.

Lexie comes in. She asks them to wait outside while she examines Claire. Given her skill as a doctor, Lexie prefers to have no witnesses.

Outside, Belle asks about Alex trying to break in. Marlena says John tends to overreact sometimes. Sometimes? John has gone off the deep end more than the Acapulco cliff divers. She tells them Alex is fighting for his life.

At the moment, Lois is attempting to help him lose that fight. She stalks into his room.

John and Abe talk about the inevitable cornea transplant. Abe doesn't want to get his hopes up. He goes into North's room with John. John tells him, "If anyone saw me go in alone they'd think I was here to finish him off... guffaw." Lois hides.

Alex lays paralyzed and thinks, "I'm not the threat, Lois banks is!"

John and Abe talk about Zach. Abe says the latest info is the police have evidence that points to Bo, "It was his car that hit Zach."

"OMG," snarls John, "his own son?"

Jennifer comforts Hope. Hope can't rest, "Every time I close my eyes I see Zach. How could it have been Bo's car? The cops must be wrong. Bo couldn't have been involved."

Max pours coffee. He remembers his conversation with the brat. The cops come up to him, "We need to ask you some questions."

Meanwhile Bo is questioning the evil one. He grabs her. "Dammit think! Did you hit Zach?"

"I don't know," she bawls, "It was dark. Maybe I hit a dog."

"No, it wasn't a dog," yells Bo, "You hit my son! You killed Zach!"

Hope cries, "Bo's a careful driver. There is no way he could have hit Zach."

Jennifer says, "It has to be a mistake. You have been though a terrible ordeal and..."

Hope interrupts, "I have to find out who did this to my son."

Bo and the brat argue. Bo regrets signing the permit and loaning her the car, "My truck is the one that killed my son and you were driving!"

The brat sobs, "Daddy... NO!"

Bo agonizes, "I told you the car could be a deadly weapon and gave you the keys. My God? what did I do? Zach... I'm so sorry."

"He was my little brother," she cries, "I wouldn't have done this I loved him."

Marlena doesn't know why Alex was outside her window. They will find out if he wakes up.

"You really love him, don't you," asks Belle.

"Yes," says Marlena, "and I'll love him a lot more once I get to know him."

Marlena goes to wait in her office. Shawn asks if Belle is OK. She thinks so. They talk about Claire. Shawn says, "That girl means the world to me. She's gotta make it. God wouldn't be that cruel."

Lexie comes out with the dreaded bad news.

Austin and Carrie kiss. He asks what she is thinking. She's too scared to tell him. She doesn't want to jinx things, "I haven't felt this happy in a long time. I think we really have a chance this time. I made mistakes. The biggest one being Mike. We have to keep from repeating our mistakes."

"I think we have a shot at it," says Austin, "Now I have a surprise for you. close your eyes." He blindfolds her. It's the blind leading the blind as he guides her away.

Marlena yawns. She turns out the lights and lies down on the couch. She dreams of Alex telling her he's not just her husband but her shrink, too. She thinks this is a conflict of interest. He says he loves and wants to protect her and advises her not to believe John. Lois is the threat.

John wants to know who was driving Bo's car. Abe says, "I think Bo knows more than he's saying. It scares the hell out of me."

John says, "Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, DOOL getting renewed for another season – all major disasters... Marlena's amnesia, Claire, Zach... If Tony wasn't behind bars I'd think he was behind all this. At least North is in a position where he can't hurt Marlena."

Alex thinks, "Lois is the one you should worry about!"

Lois comes out of hiding. John wants to know what she is doing there. She says she's there to check on Alex. Introductions. She asks where Marlena is.

"Why do you ask," says John.

Alex is about to have a stroke. He thinks, "BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO KILL MARLENA YOU, IDIOT. YOU HAVE TO STOP HER!"

"I am very concerned about my friend," says Lois.

"Alex is unconscious, so she's fine," says John, "She's had a rough night. She should get some rest."

"Yes," says Lois, "I'll let her sleep." Lois sees Alex' hand wiggle and suggests restraints. John likes that idea. He goes to get them.

Lois says she has some things to attend to. Abe will tell John she left. Lois goes out and thinks, "I was planning to kill Alex first, but he has visitors and Marlena is alone."

Marlena sleeps. More of the Alex dream. He says this is serious, "Lois is a psychopath and you are her target. You have to watch out for her."

Lois creeps outside the door holding the hypo up like it's the Olympic torch.

Lexie says, "Claire has developed a high fever. She may be rejecting the transplant." Belle turns on the waterworks.

Hope wonders why these things keep happening, "It's like we're cursed. Zach just had his yearly checkup. The doctor said he was the healthiest boy in Salem. Am I being punished?" Jennifer tries to calm her down. No dice. "How do I go on," asks Hope.

Jennifer says they are Horton women and they need to be strong.

The brat bawls, "If I did hit Zach, I swear I never even saw him."

Bo asks, "How could you not see a boy in the street? Because of your negligence he is dead!"

"I'm sorry," she wails, "You have to know that. Please don't hate me."

Bo hugs her, "Oh, God, no. I don't hate you. I just wish... I can't even look at you. This is a pattern with you. You are irresponsible. But so am I. Oh, God. This is all my fault."

"Dad, it was an accident."

Bo says, "How am I gonna tell Hope that my daughter killed Zach? She won't be able to take this."

The tears dry up. The brat's dark-side comes out, "You can't tell her. You can't tell Hope."

Carrie guesses where they are, "This is our fish place. Look, the tank is in the same spot. Remember?"

Austin remembers. A younger Carrie stands at the tank and names the lobsters, "...that one is Austin."

"Because...," he asks.

"Because he has your IQ. And he's a warrior. See, part of his claw is broken off."

"I'm calling that one Carrie," says Austin, "She is a red-hot momma. And she'll get hotter when we cook them."

"Oh no," squeals Carrie, "We can't cook them. That would be lobstercide. That's lower than sushi-cide."

"OK," says Austin, "We'll set them free..."

Back to the pathetic excuse for reality. "Those were two lucky lobsters," says Austin.

Carrie swears the lobster in the tank is the same lobster, "It's Austin... see, his claw is broken off. I'm sure Carrie the lobster is out there missing him. We have to get them back together."

Chivalrous Austin goes over to the counter and says he wants to buy the lobster in the tank. The guy behind the counter says, "It's already sold. I'm about to boil it up." He points to Goliath sitting in a booth, "It's for him."

"We can't let him cook Austin the lobster," says Carrie the human, "What will Carrie the lobster do?"

"I'm going to commit a lobster napping," says Austin the human.

Alex struggles.

Lois stalks. She prepares the needle. Oh, the hypotension! Marlena wakes as Lois starts to strike.

Belle thanks Shawn for staying positive. He tells Claire Zach gave her the blanket because he believed it had magical powers, "And now he gave you part of him. So this transplant will make you feel better. Zach was strong, and now a part of him is with you and will make you feel strong."

The brat wants to know if Bo is going to tell the cops, "What is going to happen? I will be charged with murder. My whole life will be over!" We can only hope. She walks out.

Hope sleeps. Jennifer keeps watch. Hope drones, "Zach... Please don't take him from me..."

Bo approaches. Jennifer tells him Hope is asleep. She asks what happened, "Was it your car that hit Zach?" Bo stares.

The cops tell Max he'd better get to his garage. Bo's car is being impounded.

The cops leave. The brat runs up to Max and begs him not to turn her in.

Austin comes outside with the lobster in a brown bag. Goliath thanks him and waves a wad. Austin dumps the lobster into the water.

Austin the lobster swims out and finds Carrie the lobster. Carrie the lobster has just discovered Austin the lobster has taken over her little lobster company. She bites off his other claw.

Max tells the little scum he isn't going to rat her out. He has to get back to the garage. "Will you be OK," he asks.

"I don't know," whines the brat, "Everything depends on what my dad does."

Bo leans over the sleeping Hope, "I'm sorry Fancy Face. I'm so, so sorry."

Lois stands poised. As she strikes, Marlena turns and hits the hypo. Looney Lois loses it, "You clumsy... Now look what you've done. You're going to pay for this."

John asks Abe, "If Bo wasn't driving his car, who do you suppose was?"

"I wish I knew," says Abe.

John makes the understatement of the year, "This will put a strain on their marriage."

"I am praying for them," says Abe. He gestures toward Alex, "So what about this guy?"

"If he comes to," says John, "he will go to prison for attempted murder. I'm not shedding any tears for him now that Marlena is safe."

Comatose Alex thinks, "SAFE? SHE'S NOT SAFE AT ALL!"

Lois picks up the hypo and shakes as she goes for Marlena.

Austin is Carrie's hero. She swears off lobster rolls. They are sure Austin the lobster will find Carrie the lobster. Thunder rolls. Austin says he will never leave her again. Kiss.

Belle sniffles, "I wish she could have known Zach. He really loved you. We hope his liver will work. And Shawn is right. He was strong and healthy and we pray his strength will make you better."

Little Zach walks in. "Don't be sad," he says, "I'm OK." Shawn and Belle stand arm-in-arm as he leaves.

Max says he is on the way to the garage.

The brat asks Bo not to tell. Bo stares and hits new moronic levels as he so much as considers her idiotic request.

Lexie examines Hope, "She's just exhausted. No wonder. I just wish it was a nightmare. Unfortunately she will wake up and find it's real. Her little boy is gone."

The brat says, "Daddy, please don't tell Hope I am responsible. She will hate me and she will hate you, too. She will turn me in. I am begging you. Don't let them take me to prison." She walks away. Bo turns and stares at Hope. Hope sleeps. FF Bo.

Good point frog! You really surprised me with that one. Whenever I see your name crop up in the comments I wonder how far away the BlogNazi is from having to 'press teh button.'

Unbelievable as it may sound, in the episode Austin mentioned putting it in the St. Lawrence Seaway! Go Figure.

The lobster with the broken claw was Austin because he (lobster) was a warrior?? Sounds like the lobster came out the loser in that battle. Austin/Loser....sounds about right.

DAZE warps not only time (and brains), but space. Characters could fly from Salem to Tony's hidden Caribbean island in about five minutes. However, Salem is also apparently on the St. Lawrence Seaway. There is either a fold in the space/time continuum to account for this, or Salemites are able to transport ala Star Trek wherever they want to be. (Which would explain a lot.)

I loved the Zachwhacker picture. I hate that Billie will take the blame...I really doubt it'll go far anyway. I kinda thought Max might be the one to take the blame but oh well. Also, I MISS TONY!!! This show stinks without him!! He could be doing a lot of interesting devious things right now and he's not doing diddly squat!!
