Inquiring Minds Want To Know
”Seeing Jack is enough to make a person believe in miracles,” says Hope.
“I just hope Jack gets over the idea of me hitting on his wife,” says Patrick.
Hope has a bad feeling about Billie and Bo.
Patrick says, “Hope, you can’t blame them for looking for their daughter.”
“OK,” says Hope, “Why couldn’t Bo just tell me where they were going?”
As the door closes, Billie begs Bo to open his eyes, “Oh why didn’t I listen to you. You warned me. Wake up, Bo, I need you.” She starts mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
At the front, Shawn, Rex and Lucas stand watch while waiting for Brady to return. Someone comes. They all turn and point their artillery at him. Of course, it’s Brady, “I got a lead. Time is running out. We have to move fast and find Phillip tonight or he’s gonna die.”
Phillip asks if Stami is an American, “Are you with the military or ISA?”
Sami thinks, “How the hell can I tell you I’m Sami Brady?” Stami flashes back to his instructions. He tells the voice, “This is too dangerous.”
“This can’t be happening,” thinks Stami, “I can’t die.”
Phillip asks, “Who are you? We have to work together or it’s all over. What the hell are you doing here?” Stami stares.
Roman says, “Wow. Lemme get this straight. You two are engaged?”
“We had no idea,” says John, “We thought the two of you were gone.”
John tells Marlena after losing her he didn’t want to go on living.
Kate says, “Sharing our terrible grief is what brought us together.”
Roman says, “Well, obviously the two of you got real close while Doc and I were gone, so does that mean you want to stay together now that we are back?” Kate stares. John stares. Marlena cries.
Kate says, “Roman. You and Marlena are back. That changes everything.”
John says, “Mentally Kate and I were grieving and just wanted to pick the pieces up, so we hopped into bed and that really helped.”
“You would have done the same thing for Roman if the situation was reversed,” Kate tells Marlena.
“You thought we were dead,” says Marlena, “John I told you if anything happened to me you should move on with your life.”
“Hey, you’re alive. You don’t know how happy that makes me,” says John.
Kate breaks the news, “John just proposed to me tonight.”
“Well,” says Roman, “Doc and I have always had perfect timing.”
“It’s hard to believe you survived,” says Kate.
“Listen,” says Roman, “You and John and probably Marlena and I are in shock right now, but I do believe everything will work out.” The thunder rolls. “Well, speaking of timing.”
John says, “Let’s go home.” Kate tells him not to forget his cane.
Marlena says, “The last time I saw you, you couldn’t even use your legs. You were on the raft. You are making an amazing recovery.”
“I’m getting along,” says John. He flashes back to Stami giving him the drugs, “I just can’t get over this. You in my arms again. Let’s go home.”
Stami struggles. Stami prays, “Mom, Dad, if you can hear me in heaven right now, this would be a good time to help.” He says to Phillip, “Help could be on the way from Brady.”
Phillip says, “Brady Black? Who the hell are you? Brady Black is my nephew. Who are you?”
Stami says, “Everybody knows Brady. I’m guessing he’s got Rex and maybe even Shawn involved too.”
Phillip asks, “How do you know these people?”
Stami says, “I’m just someone who made a deal with the devil and got in way over her head.”
Phillip reels, “HER head? Are you a woman?”
The boys make plans. Brady says, “I’ve found somebody who may be able to help us.”
Hope called the police. They will look for Bo and Billie’s car and call if they find it. She tells Patrick, “I don’t know what Billie would do if Bo wasn’t there for her. She doesn’t have to worry about that, though. He’s there. Will it always be like this, Bo choosing Billie over me and my sons? He still has a place in his heart for Billie. I know Bo loves me but I also know he loves being her knight in shining armor.”
Patrick says, “I really think this is about finding their daughter.”
“Ever since they found out she’s alive everything has changed,” says Hope.
Patrick says, “You know I’m not your husband's biggest fan. But I admire him for his determination to find his daughter.”
“It’s just he’s caught in the middle between Billie and me and keeps choosing her,” says Hope.
Patrick asks, “Do you wish Georgia never came into the picture? When you heard about the bloodstained sweater did just a part of you hope that meant Georgia was dead?”
“Please breathe,” says Billie. Bo comes-to. Billie kisses him.
He says he’s OK. He asks what happened. She tells him he fell in. They try their phones. No signal. Bo says, “Try not to panic.” A little late for that, if you ask me. “We’ll be here for a while.”
“Who is this guy,” asks Shawn, “and how does he know where Phillip is?”
The guy comes up to them. Brady introduces him. Dan Matthews. Dan was a civilian contractor forced to evacuate when the rebels took over. He escaped when the others took his crew hostage. He knows where the bunker is. Brady bets that’s where Phillip is, too. After a microsecond of deep thought, Shawn heads for the bunker. Rex tells him to cool it. The action heroes need an action plan.
Stami can’t let Phillip know who he really is. Phillip says, “I know what you’re doing here and I know who you are.”
In the penthouse, John asks Marlena, “How’s the old place look to you?”
Marlena answers, “Like heaven.” John swerves. Kate and Marlena walk him to a seat. Marlena smiles and walks over to the pictures. John comes over and comforts her. “Happy tears,” says Marlena as she looks at pictures of the kids. She’s overwhelmed to be home. It isn’t real to her.
“It’s real,” says John, “You’re home Doc.”
Kate watches. Roman tells her, “We weren’t even able to spend out wedding night together, but now we can make up for it.” They hug.
“I wanna see my children,” says Marlena.
“I can fix that says John. Well get them all together after our little private reunion.” John collapses. Kate sends Roman up for John’s special pillow. And his teddy. Roman and Marlena share a “what’s-going-on-here” glance.
Roman goes into the bedroom. He finds Kate’s things, “Kate, don’t tell me I lost another woman to John.”
Downstairs John struggles. Marlena gives him a back rub, but the experienced Kate takes over. Marlena watches.
Bo is up and around. Fit as a fiddle, “Maybe if you climb on my shoulders you can reach the trap door.” Up she goes. She can’t quite reach it. She comes down and encourages him to sit down. He died five minutes ago, so she doesn't want him to strain himself too much.
Billie whines, “I got us right into another DiMera trap.”
They broke the cardinal rule, “Never go down a blind alley without backup,” they singsong in unison. Make sure your backup ins't an impulsive bimbo.
Bo says, “I don’t know if this will make you feel any better but I don’t’ think Georgia is in half the danger you and I are in.”
Billie says, “We’ll never get out alive. That’s probably good because Hope will go ballistic.” Always looking at the bright side.
The boys plan.
Phillip says, “I’m so damn thirsty. You’re undercover right, for the corps, ISA? What was the plan here? The escape plan?”
Stami says, “I hate to disappoint you soldier, but there is no plan.”
Phillip mumbles, “We gotta work together. I know how to get out of here. The first thing we gotta do...” Stami turns around and does a double-take when he sees the unconscious Phillip.
Roman lifts Kate’s nightgown off the bed. He flashes back to the evening he gave it to her. He asked her to save it for their honeymoon.
“Well John,” says Roman, “looks like you got to see her in this first.”
Roman comes down with the pillow. Kate situates John on the couch.
Marlena tells Roman, “Your wife seems to have the Magic touch.”
Roman says, “The two of them have definitely set up housekeeping.”
“My concern is the pain John is in,” says Marlena.
Kate goes to get John a drink. Marlena stops her, “Kate, I can handle getting my husband a glass of water.” This is starting to look like the Maggie-Bonnie thing.
Roman tells Kate to pack up and they can give John and Marlena some privacy. Kate protests. Roman says, “They don’t need us around here, and I want to see my own place.” Oops.
Kate breaks the news, “I hate to tell you this, but I sold your house.”
Stami tells Phillip, “If you have a plan to get us out of here, I’m all ears.” Phillip is unconscious. “Phillip, don’t’ die on me now. What am I gonna do?”
The guards talk. One says Stami infiltrated too easily. The other goon says, “I say we put them out of their misery.”
Brady tells Dan to go to the airport. Dan gives them the map and leaves. The boys sneak toward the bunker.
“Whoever is doing this is out to hurt us, not Georgia,” says Bo.
Billie says, “I hope you are right. What’s that noise?”
“Hissing,” says Bo, “Oh, man, not snakes again!”
Hope tries to call Bo’s cell phone. Not working. “I’m going to call the only person who might know where he went,” she says.
Billie smells gas. Bo sees the nozzle it’s coming through, “Great. Someone’s trying to asphyxiate us.”
The guard unlocks Stami’s chains. Stami snivels, “Please don’t kill me.”
Philip tells them, “Leave me alone. One of the goons hits him with his rifle butt. Stami begs, “Please don’t shoot me. Please.”
The boys have the bunker surrounded. “I hope it’s not too late,” says Shawn.
Roman goes off the deep end, “You did what?!”
Kate says, “I felt I needed to move on.”
Roman says, “It didn’t take long did it? Since you’re so quick with decisions, here’s one for you. Who’s going to stay in the penthouse tonight, you or Marlena?”
FF on Kate with John and Marlena staring at her in the background. Inquiring minds want to know.

Roman says, “We've got news for you, too. Cards on the table doc?”
Billie asks, “What do we do now?” Bo says, “Try to figure a way to get out of this place.”
Belle tells Hope on the phone, “I hate to be the one to tell you this but Shawn went off to rescue Phillip. Shawn is in a war zone and I am scared to death.”
SuperShawn tells Brady, “Yeah, I’m going in after Phillip.”
GERONIMO!
The big reunion continues in the airport, “I can’t believe you’re here says John.”
Kate had given up hope. They want to know how Roman and Marlena survived.
Roman tells them about the trawler, “They were holding us captive on it and then took us to the castle where Tony held us prisoner.”
John says, “Tony? No that’s impossible. We’ll just hunt him down like a dog...”
Roman says, “It's done, John. This time he’s dead for good.”
The Fearsome Foursome flies into the jaws of death. They bicker. Rex berates Shawn, “The only reason you want to bring Phillip home safe is so Belle can break his heart.”
The bearded, suffering Phillip asks for water. The goon torments him. Phillip says, “I’m dehydrated. If you don’t’ give me water I will die.”
Mr. Nasty says, “That’s the whole point.”
Stami has arrived at the scene where Phillip is held hostage. He’s in his fatigues, “Where am I and what the hell am I doing here?”
Jack walks up and sucker punches Patrick in the hospital. They pull them apart.
Jennifer asks, “What’s wrong with you?”
“What’s wrong with you,” says Jack, “letting that snake back in your life?”
Bo tells Billie someone else is in the house. The impulsive nitwit runs into the room and falls into a hole. Bo chases and yells for her.
John says, “I can’t believe my bastard half brother did this to us again.”
“Tony is dead, John,” says Roman.
John says, “We’ve had this conversation before.”
Marlena tells them they aren’t the only ones who were in the castle.
Roman says Jack is alive.
Marlena says Cassie was with them.
Kate is thrilled, “Cassie alive?”
“Our daughter is alive,” says Roman.
Meanwhile, back at the torture chamber, the goon says, “You can have water as soon as you answer our questions.”
“I’ll give you name, rank and serial number,” says Phillip, “or I’d rather die.”
“Then,” says the goon, “you will get your wish.”
Stami stands at the door and thinks, “I have to do this to get my REVENGE, so what do I have to lose?” Your life, toots. Stami knocks.
Shawn and Rex argue as the engines drone in the background. Brady tries to bring some sanity into the situation, a losing proposition. Rex hated leaving Mimi. Shawn hated leaving Belle.
Brady says he didn’t have to lie to Nicole.
“Yeah,” says Lucas, “if you die she gets the Kiriakis fortune.” Lucas and Brady argue.
“We’re all risking our lives and we’re just edgy,” says Brady.
Rex tries to convince Lucas Sami didn’t mean to do what she did. Maybe he should give her a second chance.
Lucas is sick of her stunts, “I love her but she is pathological and I’m not going there again. I have Will to come home to. I’m here to bring Phillip home. When Belle sees Phillip she will have second thoughts about you, Shawn.”
The guys decide to stop arguing. The pilot comes out and tells them he can’t land the plane. They have to jump. Oh, joy.
Hope holds up her badge and yells, “DETECTIVE BRADY, Stop.”
Jack says, “Abby told me how Lockhart played you while I was gone. News flash, Hope, Tony never died. He survived and Lockhart is still working for him.” He turns to Patrick, “You set me up.”
Billie stirs, “What happened?”
Bo says, “You ran into a dark room and fell into a hole, you impulsive bozo,” or something to that effect.
Bille asks, “Can we hold the I told you so's?”
Bo says, “You almost wound up dead.”
“Almost doesn't count, Bo,” says Billie, “Is the lecture over yet?”
Bo asks, “Are you sure you’re OK?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m coming down to get you.”
“No,” says Billie, “Don’t!”
Kate wants to go see Cassie. Roman says tomorrow morning will be better, “Then we can take Rex.” Kate is sullen. “OK,” says Roman, “what is wrong here?”
“Rex is out of town on business,” says John. Way out of town.
“John,” says Marlena, “tell me about Brady, Belle and Sami. How is Sami since the wedding was canceled?”
John asks how Marlena knows the wedding was canceled.
They tell John Tony tortured them with every bit of bad news going on in Salem. We flash back to Roman and Marlena watching John and Kate on TV in the castle. They discover John and Kate have “moved on.”
John wants details on Tony’s death.
The pilot will land alone and tell them he had engine trouble. The guys can meet him later to get outta Dodge, once they have rescued Phillip.
“No one ever got hurt jumping,” says the encouraging pilot, “It’s the landing that kills you.”
“Somehow I will get out of here, Belle, and get home to you,” thinks Phillip. He flashes back to their wedding night. He toasts her, “To the Days Of Our Lives.” Back to reality. The guard says, “Stop talking and I will give you some water.”
The defiant Phillip says, “Give me water and unlock the chains.”
The goon asks, “How stupid do you think I am?”
“More stupid than you look,” says Phillip. POW!
A figure opens the door for Stami, “Come in.”
Stami enters. S/he looks around, “Love what you've done with the place.”
The guard points a gun at Stami.
Stami turns around, “WHOA!”
The guard asks, “Who are you what are you doing here?”
Jack tells them about the freighter, getting captured again and being taken back to the castle, “Lockhart helped,” insists Jack. Hope asks if he has proof. Jack says he can’t prove it.
“Because it’s not true,” says Patrick.
Jack rants, “You are part of Tony’s plan.”
Hope asks if Jack is sure Tony is dead.
“As sure as I can be, without having the body right in front of me.” He goes on to tell them Cassie, Roman and Marlena are alive, but he doesn’t think Victor and Caroline made it.
Hope believes Patrick. He saved their lives. She wants hard evidence Patrick worked for Tony. She also wants Jen to tell her where Bo and Billie went and why.
Billie says if Bo comes down they will both be trapped.
Bo has an idea. A rat crawls over Billie’s shoe. Billie looks up and sheepishly says, “OK take your time. I’ll be fine.”
“OK,” says Bo, “this might take awhile.”
“Great,” says the less than enthusiastic Billie.
“You didn’t see Tony’s body,” asks John.
“No, that’s a fact,” says Roman.
Marlena thinks Tony’s dead. John is skeptical. Roman joins the Tony-is-dead party. Kate is glad they escaped. She’d hate to think of any of their loved ones having that kind of death. John thinks something is wrong.
Marlena tells them about Victor and Caroline.
They all hug.
The guard roughs up Stami.
Stami asks, “Didn’t you get your orders?” Inside, motions the guard. He tells the other guard Stami is an infiltrator.
Stami protests, “We work for the same guy.”
“Who,” asks the goon.
Stami says, “I don’t know his name. He calls me on the phone. He ordered me to come here. How else do you think I would have these clothes?”
They chain Stami, “This is what we do with spies.” The guards leave.
Stami asks Phillip, “What other things do they do to spies?”
Phillip says, “They kill them.”
Stami says, “Thanks for breaking it to me easy, Phillip.”
Phillip asks, “How did you know my name, who are you?”
“The person who’s going to die with you,” thinks Sami.
Rex isn’t too excited about the jump. The pilot gives them instructions. The boys pray, “God please guide us and bring us home safely with Phillip.”
One after another, the Stuporheroes jump, “GGEERROONNIIMMOOooooo”
Did you ever wonder why paratroopers yell “Geronimo” as they jump? Legend has it a group of original paratroopers training for duty during WWII took a break one evening and went to see the 1939 movie Geronimo. One of the group, Private Aubrey Eberhardt, had his first jump the next morning. His buddies asked if he was scared. He said no. To prove it he would yell something at them as he was falling. Having just seen the movie the word he chose was the name of the brave warrior, Geronimo. The tradition stuck.
Hope says Bo promised him he wouldn't run off with Billie again. And the poor twit actually believed him. Jen tells her about the DNA tests. Hope is skeptical. Jen says Bo insisted on going.
“Of course he did,” says Hope, “Billie can play him like a fiddle.” I think Hope is more concerned about them fiddling around.
Jack tries to defend Bo.
Hope is frustrated, “Why is it every man she meets insists on being her knight in shining armor?”
Bo has made a rope out of sheets. He yells down to Billie, “I’ll pull you up.”
Billie says, “Oh you’re a regular knight in shining armor.”
Bo pulls. As she starts up, Billie says, “First floor ladies lingerie.”
Stami struggles. Phillip tells him not to try. He will just tear up his wrists. “I can’t die here,” says Stami. He flashes back to a tender moment with Lucas. The collapsing bed. Talk of the wedding. Stami cries. Phillip asks if he will be all right. Yeah, I was just remembering things.
“I guess it's true,” says Phillip, “when you are about to die your whole life flashes before your eyes.”
“Just the good parts I hope,” says Stami.
“So now what,” asks Stami. Phillip says it’s curtains. Stami whimpers.
The Stuporheroes have landed. Brady tells them to stay there while he does reconnaissance work, “If I’m not back in 20 minutes take off without me.”
Brady leaves. Shawn wishes him luck.
Jen has no idea where Bo went. Hope knows the DiMera’s are behind this.
Patrick doesn’t know where Bo and Billie are. Hope tells everyone to stop bickering. Hope needs to tell Bo about his parents before he finds out from someone else, “Billie won’t be happy until they both wind up dead. I swear to God if something happens to Bo, I will make sure that selfish, manipulative witch pays.”
Billie shouts, “We’re almost there.”
“What's this WE stuff,” asks Bo. Suddenly, I mean, didn’t we all see this coming, he slips and falls into the hole. Billie calls for him, “Please wake up, Bo.” She hears a grinding sound, “Oh no, the trap door’s closing. Bo, you were right this was a setup. Oh, no.”
John says Caroline was like a mother to him. He bonds with Roman. John says they have a lot to catch up on, “Let's head back to the penthouse.”
“Well, Mrs. Brady, let’s go,” says Roman. He kisses her hand and sees the ring, “Wait, what the hell is this. This is not the ring I gave you.” Kate stammers and looks at John for help.
John says, “I gave it to her. We’re engaged to be married.”
FF on the shocked Marlena.

Billie says, “Wake up Bo, come on I need you.” She rolls him over. Blood and gore, “Oh God!”
Brady tells the others, “We have to work fast and find Phillip tonight, or he’s gonna die.”
“Let’s just say I’m someone who is in way over her head,” says Stami. Phillip asks, “HER head?”
Patrick asks Hope, “Did just a part of you hope that meant Georgia was dead?”
Both Barrels
Mickey and Maggie have taken the baby home to get him off the set. Jack thinks Jack Jr. knew he was his dad. Jennifer thinks it’s amazing to have laughter back in the family. Abby promises she will never take Jack for granted again. Small talk. Abby’s friends didn’t think Jack was cool, they thought he was crazy. Jack promises they will never be separated again. Group hug.
Belle and Mimi get back to the apartment. Belle is glad the authorities stopped John form going after the guys. The Fearsome Foursome had too big a head start. If it were up to Kate, Shawn wouldn’t come home at all, “I can’t believe my dad would have anything to do with that selfish witch.”
At the airport lounge, the waiter introduces the two couples; one celebrating their 50th anniversary and the other celebrating their engagement. Kate is embarrassed. John doesn’t care if the whole world knows. They toast “us.” Roman thinks that couple looks familiar. He and Marlena go over to congratulate them.
Kate goes to freshen up. Roman, of course goes over to the older couple, Judge Adams and his wife. Roman and Marlena tell them they were held captive by Tony. We go through the usual, “We thought Tony was dead” stuff. Roman congratulates them and promises to catch up later. Roman and Marlena leave. Mrs. Adams says, “I didn’t know they were still married.”
Roman gets a shot of tequila. Might as well. Kevin’s paying for it. John looks around the room.
Patrick and Hope talk. Patrick thinks Hope should feel better because the girls are OK. Hope obsesses over why she hung up on Billie after Billie totally insulted her, “I’ll never forgive myself.”
Patrick says he should have called Hope from the scene of the accident instead.
Hope asks, “What if Bo had picked up the phone?”
Patrick says, “All these what-ifs will drive you crazy.”
Hope wonders where Bo is.
Bo and Billie plan their attack on the house. They crouch behind the bushes with their guns drawn. Bo thinks they are rushing in too soon. They shouldn’t be there right now. “God only knows what they’ve done to her,” says Billie.
Bo tells her, “I’m trying to get you to open your eyes.”
Billie snaps back, “My eyes are open. Has Hope convinced you this is just another DiMera trick?”
Mimi says Belle used to love Kate. Belle says, “She used to love me. Now I can’t even look at her. I never used to believe the things Sami said about her but maybe they are true. Mom has only been dead a few months and now he’s moving on with her?”
Mimi says, “I can’t believe she would want Shawn to die.”
“She only cares about Phillip, Rex and Lucas,” says Belle.
Mimi tells her, “She never thought I was good enough for Rex. I’ve been thinking about what it would be like to have her as a mother in law. But now I’m terrified Rex won’t come home and if he does, how can we have a future anyway?”
Belle says, “What happened to Jan was an accident.”
“There is no way to prove it,” says Mimi, “If Jan wakes up she will lie and, it serves me right for all the lies I have told. I know you think Rex will forgive me, but what is Kate going to do when she finds out?”
“I think she will try to turn Rex against you,” says Belle, “Who is she to judge anyone? Shawn thinks Kate wants Billie to be with his dad. Meanwhile she is going on with me about the sanctity of marriage. I can’t believe dad can’t see her for the hypocrite she is.” Dad’s a tripped out junkie.
Roman says the last time they were there he wanted to kiss her. Marlena says she wanted that, too. He kisses her. Marlena reels, “Roman, we can’t do that.” She runs off. Roman follows.
Kate comes back into the room. “I guess it’s time to go,” she says to John.
Roman apologizes. Marlena says, “Roman we can’t let that happen again. My future is with John and yours is with Kate.”
Kevin comes up and tells Roman the call will come through in 10 minutes. Roman apologizes for kissing Marlena. “That’s OK,” says Marlena, “It just can’t happen again.”
Meanwhile, Kate and John give each other a tongue-tonsillectomy.
Abby fills Jack in on what has happened while he was gone. “The Red Sox won the World Series, and guess what else?”
Hope is getting a bad feeling. Patrick wishes she would stop worrying. When he was growing up, Salem was famous for the great couples. She and Bo are one of them.
Hope runs through the inventory of great Salem couples. The couples are great because they stayed together.
Patrick asks, “What about Roman and Marlena?”
Hope says, “They were parted by death in a way. Marlena thought Roman was dead. Then John was Roman and...” Roman was Kris or was he, who knows, and, Oh, the confusion. It’s hard to believe Bo and Billie even fell in love in the first place.”
Patrick speculates, “Maybe they went home. Why don’t you call and find out?”
Hope calls. Patrick stares.
Bo and Billie bicker. Bo tells her, “You’re an ISA agent. You’re throwing your training right out the window.”
Billie rants at Bo, “Don’t talk to me about caring about our daughter. She could be lying in there bleeding to death right now!” Man, this poor schmuck just gets it from both barrels. One of them is named Billie and the other Hope.
Billie runs off. Bewildered Bo asks, “Am I talking to myself here?”
Mimi says Belle has to understand where Kate is coming from, “She’s terrified for her sons.”
Belle says, “Kate isn't worried about Shawn. She would trade Phillip’s life for Shawn’s in a heartbeat. I miss my Mom so much. Dad, Sami, Brady and I are such a mess right now. Right now? How about always? I know if she were here she would make it all better.” Hug.
Marlena can’t wait to see John. Roman says he will hurry and be right back. Marlena pines, “Oh John, I can’t wait to see you.” She sits down.
John finds his cane, “I’ll worship the day I don’t’ have to carry you anymore.” He turns and sees Marlena sitting there. Slowly, Marlena turns. She sees John. This is it. Finally. The spine-chilling reunion. They run to each other’s arms. Hugs and crying abound.
The place is dark. Bo says, “They could be lying in wait for us. On three.” Bo kicks in the door and yells, “POLICE!” The furniture is covered and the house is dark. Bo says, “It’s obvious no one’s been here for some time.” Billie wants to check upstairs. Bo tells her, “We’re not gonna find anything, Billie.”
Billie says, “You’re right, but somebody sent us here on purpose. We’re gonna search this place from top to bottom.”
“OK,” says Bo, “but whatever happens we keep our cool.” As if they had any to lose in the first place.
Hope gets no answer. She calls Bo’s cell. Again, no answer. Patrick suggests she ask Jennifer. Hope doesn’t want to disturb them, “He’s disappeared again and you know what that means. Something’s going on between him and Billie and they don’t want me to know about it.”
Jack rambles. He gives Abby the cake. He lights the candles. Jennifer says, “This is so surreal to watch the two of you laughing and talking.” The group blows out the candles. Yet another group hug.
Belle makes more tea. Mimi wants to cry when she thinks about the message Rex left. Belle says, “If I would have known Shawn would put his life in danger...”
Mimi interrupts her, “We can’t think that way. I just thought, do you think Shawn will wait to tell Phillip when he gets home or do you think he will tell him over there? And what do you think Phillip will do?”
John says, “Tell me this is real, Doc.”
“Oh,” says Marlena, “Just hold me.”
Kate comes in. SURPRISE-SURPRISE, “No it’s not possible. That can’t be Marlena. It is. It’s her. Oh.”
“Kate,” says Roman, “Hello beautiful.”
“Roman,” Kate gets faint. He grabs her. Kate says, “This isn’t happening. Marlena’s dead. You’re dead. It’s impossible.”
“No,” says Roman, “It’s not impossible. I am right here. Just come here and kiss me.”
“Oh, you’re really back,” says John.
“I’m back,” says Marlena through the tears, “I’m back to stay.” Another tonsillectomy.
The birthday celebration continues. Jennifer goes to the cafeteria to get some plates and forks. “We don’t need no stinkin’ forks,” says Jack. They start eating with their fingers.
Jennifer bumps into Hope. Jennifer tells Hope about Jack. More hugs. Patrick looks confused.
Billie says, “Totally deserted. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure we got here. What gives?”
Bo tells her, “We’re not gonna help Georgia by making ourselves sitting ducks lets get out of here.” They hear a noise.
They position themselves outside a door. As they open it a voice inside says, “Momma.”
Belle doesn’t know if Shawn will tell Phillip, “but it doesn’t matter now. We can’t lose them. I already lost my Mom this year. I couldn’t bear it.”
The cake is half demolished. Jack says, “When you come back from the dead you can have your cake and I can eat it too.” Jack rambles. He’s going to college with Abby. He will be the school mascot. Abby asks what happened to him. He says, “Let’s table that,” and hugs her. Abby rambles. She finally gets around to, “I don’t’ think she was ever serious about Patrick.”
This strikes a chord. Jack says, “What, she was serious about Patrick Lockhart?”
“No,” says Abby, “He’s just been there for her.”
“You mean,” asks Jack, “like fixing things? Tell me more. How has Patrick been there for your mother?”
Jennifer doesn't know the details and doesn’t care, “Right now we have all the Days Of Our Lives left together.”
Patrick is happy for Jennifer. Maybe.
Hope wishes she knew where Bo was.
Jennifer tells her he went with Billie.
As they talk Jack walks up and sucker punches Patrick. They roll over the furniture and onto the floor.
A doll in the room says, “Momma!”
“It’s a sign,” says Billie. Sharp as a tack, ain't she?
Bo says, “That doll didn’t make the floor creak. Someone else is in this house.”
Billie runs into the room and falls in a hole in the floor. Oh, no, not another hole-in-the-floor-trick. Bo yells for her. Billie lies unconscious in the abyss.
John says says, “I feel like I’m in the middle of a hell of a dream.”
“It’s real,” says Roman.
“This is as close to an out-of-body experience as I’ve ever had,” says Kate.
“And we can all pick up where we left off,” says Roman.
John says, “The coast guard gave me your clothes. The blood, the DNA matched, help me here. I watched you disappear. Help me understand.”
“We have so much to explain,” says Marlena.
“Yeah,” says Roman, “And I’m sure you and Kate have an awful lot to tell us too.”
John and Kate turn and stare at each other.
Roman purses his lips.
FF on Marlena.

Brady says, “Ill see you boys on the ground.” He jumps from the plane, “GERONIMOOOOOoooooooo!” The others follow. Shawn says, “Hang in there Phillip, we’re coming to get you.”
Bo peers into the abyss where Billie lies. Meanwhile, Hope asks, “What is it about Billie Reed? Why is it every man she meets insists on being her knight in shining armor?”
Roman looks at the Hope Diamond on Kate’s finger and says, “This is not the ring I gave you,” Kate turns and says, “John!”
French Fries Smothered In Catsup
Nicole messes with the files, “Everything is set for tomorrow, Chloe’s big day. I have to make sure she never wants Brady to see her again. Oops.” She jams the scalpel into the counter.
Meanwhile, the grotesque Chloe says, “Brady I’ll finally be back the way I was and we can be together.”
Nancy reminds Chloe there is risk. She’s told Chloe 100 times BB loves her the way she is. She encourages her to call Brady.
Jennifer prays. Jack stands behind her holding a birthday cake. Jennifer and Abby hug. Abby sees Jack, “Daddy!”
“I know, says Jennifer, “I wish he were here too.”
“He is here, Mom.”
Jennifer tells her, “Just get some rest.”
“Not before she’s had her cake,” says Jack.
Jennifer turns around, “Jack, Oh my gosh. It can’t be.” Big reunion. Abby watches almost in terror, “Daddy is it you? I knew you’d come home to us.”
“It’s me,” says Jack.
“It is you!” Group hug.
Kate can’t believe John just proposed. John is confident everything will be great for them. He’s going to take care of her. She believes he is the most amazing man and will never let her down.
John says, “I never thought I’d fall in love again after Doc.”
“Me neither,” says Kate, “Roman and Marlena are gone. My love for you is real.”
John asks, “I’m not pushing you, am I?”
“I want this more than anything in the world,” says Kate, “You’re the only man for me now. I can’t wait to marry you.” They kiss.
Marlena tells Roman people help fellow travelers. They see the couple is at it again. Roman suggests they call a cab and pay the driver when they get to Marlena’s house. Good idea, but conveniently Roman’s satellite phone battery is dead. Maybe the kissin’ couple will let them borrow a cell phone. Marlena goes to ask.
The Devereaux clan shares a happy reunion. Jack flashes back to Madison. Jennifer wants to know what’s wrong. “I’m just making sure it’s the real you. It’s a long story. I’ll tell you all about it later." Jennifer will just love the part about Madison. "Right now there is something else I have to do.” Smooch.
Roman doesn’t want to call John or Kate.
John puts the ring on Kate’s finger with the help of a forklift. Kate knows they will be happy. Kate is worried about Belle, “I think she will have a hard time accepting me, especially if she breaks up with Phillip.”
“As soon as she sees how happy you have made me she will come around,” says John.
Kate says, “I hate for Phillip to come home and find...”
John shushes her, “Let’s just bring him home first. Let’s go on home.”
Marlena asks why calling John or Kate would be a mistake.
Roman says, “I think breaking the news should be done in person.”
“Especially,” says Marlena, “if they have moved on without us.”
Jennifer wants details. Right now Jack just wants to savor the moment. He says Mickey told him she and Abby were at the hospital. He turns to Abby, “I’m so sorry about the people in the car with you. I’m glad you’re going to be OK.”
Abby says, “I never felt better. Let’s go home now.”
Jack tells her she’s staying right there, “Look at you. You are a young lady. What happened to my little girl?”
“Can you believe she turned 17 today,” says Jennifer.
Jack says she should make a birthday wish.
“My wish already came true,” says Abby, “It’s the best present I ever got.”
“I’m never going to be separated again from you. Never,” says Jack.
Chloe tells Nancy, “I won’t be with Brady while I still look like a monster.”
Nancy says, “None of it matters anyway. Did he stop loving you when you had leukemia? No. He was there through all of that. You do remember that don’t you?”
Chloe remembers. She flashes back to Brady telling her the way he feels won’t change. He loves her. Chloe picks up Brady’s picture.
One of the nurses tells Nurse Nicole she has been taken off the surgery schedule tomorrow. Nicole protests, “No you can’t do that!”
Roman tells Marlena John loves her and Kate loves him, “Let’s go home and you can see for yourself.”
A guard runs up to Roman with a message from Shane Donovan. Shane has to talk to Roman. Roman decides to wait for the call. They head up as we pan in on John’s cane.
In the airport bar, John apologizes. He knows how much Kate wanted to get out of there. He used to come here with Doc. She used to go crazy over the french fries here. He flashes back to a scene in the airport bar just before their honeymoon. Kate asks if he is all right. He just needs to sit down. They go sit, and none other than Marlena and Roman walk in.
Marlena spaces out, “I used to come here with John all the time when we were using his private jet.” She has the same flashback. John gropes her and makes a scene in the airport. Marlena says, “Oh, I wish Shane would call. I just want to get home.”
“We’ll give him 30 minutes,” says Roman, “Then we’re outta here.” Roman sees someone across the room, “OMG! I don’t believe it. Look who’s here,” says Roman. Are you sucked in by this? I’m not sucked in.
Jennifer asks Jack what happened to him. Jack says, “Long story short Tony DiMera held me captive.” Jennifer reacts to the fact that Tony is alive. Jack continues, “He was alive, but he’s dead now. There’s no way he could be alive.” Wanna bet? “Roman, Marlena and Cassie are alive. We think Victor and Caroline were there too, and we don’t think they made it out.”
Dr Weiss gives Chloe a sedative. He’ll see her in the morning.
Chloe says Nancy should go home. Nancy says she had planned to stay. Chloe says, “Why, so you can try to talk me out of having the surgery?”
Nancy relents, “OK I’ll go, but remember you still can change your mind.”
“I know mom.” Nancy leaves. Chloe pops the pills.
Nicole says her allergies aren’t that bad. She wants to work tomorrow. She says she needs the money. Her mom is sick. Sob story. Nicole masks up as Nancy comes to the nurses’ station. Nancy says, “If she’s sick, I do not want her anywhere near my daughter!”
Jack tells them about the fire in the castle and his escape. Maggie walks in. She asks who else is alive. Jack runs through the ever-growing back-from-the-dead inventory. “Well,” says Maggie, “as one of the thousands of Salem residents who have come back form the dead, I guess anything is possible.”
Roman, of course, does not see John and Kate. Instead, a man walks up and Roman introduces him as Kevin Jackson. Kevin is a former detective who took disability when he was wounded in a shootout. He just started working here for extra money, “The old pension only goes so far.” He tells Marlena about the shootout. He is only alive because SuperRoman was so brave. Roman asks for a few minutes with him in private. Marlena leaves. Roman hits Kevin up for cash, “Listen, Pard, I’m in a bind, could I borrow $20?” When Roman calls you ‘Pard,’ hide your wallet.
“Say no more,” says Kevin, “I’ll seat you in my section.”
John is going to pass on the food. He doesn’t have the munchies at the moment. He tells Kate the ISA will try to intercept the boy’s plane when it lands. He orders the finest champagne.
Kate wants to celebrate, “You are the one good thing in my life.” Yeah, forget her sons. They kiss.
Roman is going to have whatever they have on tap. He orders french fries. He tells Marlena, “I think that’s what we had when we were here before. “
Marlena doesn’t remember being there with him before.
He reminds her. She flashes back. Blah, blah, blah. In this revisionist flashback, he tells her about the french fries there. He’s introduced her to anchovy pizza and french fries smothered in catsup, “There might be hope for you yet.”
Marlena asks, “Have you noticed all of our memories have to do with food?”
“All my good memories have to do with you,” says Roman.
“I thought I came here with John first.”
“It’s one of the many things you did with John that you did with me first, up to and including marrying him,” says Roman.
Nicole insists she just has allergies. There will be no risk.
Nancy threatens, “If anything happens, you will never work in nursing again.”
“I can live with that,” thinks Nicole.
Nancy leaves. The other nurse tells Nicole how ugly reconstructive surgery is.
Nicole wonders, “OMG! can I go through with this?”
Chloe dreams. Brady tells her it’s time to take the bandages off. He cuts them off. He carefully unwraps them. Ho boy, avert your eyes and prepare for the worst.
Brady reels in shock. Chloe asks, “Brady what is it.”
The diplomatic Brady says, “It’s just gonna take some time.”
Chloe demands, “Brady give me the mirror.”
Chloe looks into the mirror, “AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! OMG!” She turns and cries. “No,” she says in her sleep.
Chloe tosses and turns. In her dream Brady tells her he will always love her no matter what. He kisses her and we pan out and see the beautiful Chloe. “Brady,” she calls in her sleep, “Now everything’s all right. We can finally be together again.”
Outside the window Nicole stares at the scalpel, “You’re not giving me any choice, Chloe. If I go to hell at least I’ll have Brady while I’m on this earth.”
Mickey walks into Abby’s hospital room with Jack Jr. Visiting regulations are pretty liberal in this hospital. Jack meets Jack Jr. Jack can’t believe it. Oh, the bonding.
The french fries come. Marlena does the honors with the catsup.
The champagne comes, “I never thought I’d be happy again,” says Kate, “Now I have a future to look forward to.”
John says, “I look forward to spending the rest of the Days Of Our Lives in love with each other.”
“This has to be forever,” says Kate.
The waiter quiets the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, we have two couples here celebrating special occasions. One couple is celebrating 50 years of marriage, and the other couple just got engaged.” He asks them to stand up.
Pard and Marlena can’t see as John and Kate stand up and take their bow. Roman shrugs his shoulders to indicate he can’t see what’s going on.
John and Kate sit down. “That was very embarrassing,” says Kate.
“I don’t care if the whole world knows,” says John, “Here’s to you and me, kid.” That one will win the Emmy for the worst Bogie imitation of all time. They toast. They kiss.
Roman thinks the couple looks familiar. He’s not sure if he knows them. They decide to go over and congratulate them. John and Kate kiss as Marlena and Roman work their way through the crowd. FF on Roman pointing at the lovebirds.

Belle tells Mimi, “Kate isn’t a bit worried about Shawn. She would trade Shawn’s life for Phillip’s in a heartbeat.”
Billie tells Bo, “Don’t talk to me about caring about our daughter. She could be lying in there bleeding to death right now.”
Hope tells Patrick, “Something’s going on with Bo and Billie and he doesn’t want me to know about it.”
Jack runs up to some guy and says, “Get your hands off my wife!” He slugs him and the guy goes tumbling over the seats in the waiting room. Jennifer yells, “Oh, Patrick!”
The Rock Of Gibraltar
Nancy confronts Nicole. She saw her trying to peel a label of the file. She's going to call Dr. Weiss and report her.
On the plane, Jack wakes Cassie. He tells her this is Abby's birthday.
Abby asks where she is. Jennifer tells her she is in ICU. Abby thanks Jennifer for being there. She loves her so much. “Likewise, I'm sure,” says Jennifer.
Abby says she had a dream, "It was the best dream. We were all together. I didn't have to make a wish because it had already come true. We were all there. I wish all wishes could come true.”
“I pray this plane has our sons on it,” says Kate. She tells John, “You shouldn't have come out tonight. Let's go back to the penthouse.”
“No,” says John, “We'll stay here and watch that jet and find out who's on it.”
“We're almost home,” says Marlena.
“Good ole Salem, USA” says Roman, strategically leaving out the state.
Marlena says, “It's been nearly a year. Now we're so close I can't wait one more moment.”
Roman says, “I'm gonna grab hold of Kate and never let go.” He detects some concern in Marlena, “What is it?”
“I just feel there have been so many changes. We don't know what we're going home to. I feel disconnected.”
Dr. Roman says, “You can talk to me about anything.”
“Roman, I'm scared.”
Kate can’t stand seeing John in this kind of pain.
He tells her, “As long as I have you with me, I can get through anything. I love you Kate.”
Kate says, “After Roman died, I told Phillip I couldn’t imagine loving another man, but he told me I was so full of love [Kate's full of something. It might not be love, though.] I shouldn’t let that part of my life go. He wondered if there could be anything between you and me. I didn’t know because I was so filled with grief.”
“I noticed you didn’t say anything when I said I loved you,” says John.
“I know,’ says Kate, “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry.”
Kate says, “I just can’t stop thinking about the boys being at the mercy of Shawn’s insane plan. It gave me hope because you had such strong feelings for me. You were very brave and I was a coward. Because I have loved you for a long, long time but I couldn’t admit it. I just put the thought aside. But the truth is that the past is in the past. We can’t change that. But our future is blessed and I believe that my future is with you.”
Smooch.
The group on the plane anticipates their arrival. Roman asks why Marlena is scared.
Marlena says, “We’ve been gone so long I don’t know what we’re coming home to. Thanks to Tony we’ve had graphic picture so of what John and Kate have been up to. They thought we were dead. It’s natural they would turn to each other for comfort.”
“I‘m glad we know about them,” says Roman. I’d hate coming home and find out later. Doc, it was rough rollin' back into Salem years ago and finding out you and John were living what was supposed to be our life. Then we made a mistake. We went on as if nothing had happened. When I found out you had feelings for John it threw me off.” And I’ve been off ever since.
Marlena says, “This time will be different. We have each other.”
The pilot comes on the loudspeaker and tells them the plane has clearance to land. The plane heaves and bodies go flying.
Jennifer is on the phone with Maggie. Maggie’s happy to take care of Jack Jr. “Besides,” says Maggie, “Being here has a benefit. This is a Bonnie-free zone.” Jennifer asks for an overnight bag. Mickey comes out and asks if Abby is OK. Maggie says they are keeping her for observation.
Mickey asks, “Do you think if Jennifer would like us to take the decorations down? Wait. I have an idea. If Abby can’t come to her own party...”
Maggie finishes, “We’ll take the party to her.”
The nurse comes into Abby’s room. She says Chelsea is awake and asking for Abby. Abby asks the crucial question, “Does she know her parents are dead?”
Nurse Nicole coughs.
Nancy nags, “You shouldn’t be at the hospital with germs like that. What are you doing with my daughter’s X-ray?”
Bo lectures Billie. He says he shouldn’t be leaving town without telling hope.
Billie thinks it’s OK, “If we waste any more time, I’ll never forgive myself, Bo. It’s Ogden. Right outside of Salem. Our daughter might have been right under our noses all this time. Let’s check it out and then you can go home to Hope. Please?”
Abby and Jennifer come in to see Chelsea.
Chelsea says, “They won’t tell me anything about my parents. When do I get to see them?” Abby stares.
The pilot says, “Sorry about that folks, the air is a little choppy up here.”
“I just had an awful Days-a vu about escaping the island and drowning,” whines Cassie.
Roman asks if Marlena is OK.
Marlena says, “Just when you say it’s going to be all right, that happens.”
“Hey,” says Roman, “The nightmare we’ve been living is just about over. For real this time.”
“Thank you for being here,” Says Marlena.
“I didn’t have much choice,” laughs Roman, “I would never leave you.”
“There was a time I thought we would never get off that island. If we wouldn’t have been in the situation we were in, I never would have made love with you,” says the guilt-ridden Marlena, “I love John so much and I love you too.”
Roman says, “I know exactly how you feel. Because I feel the same way. We were together for months sleeping in the same bed. I don’t like the thought of being separated from you, but I want to get home.”
“Roman what are we going to do?”
The plane lands. The pilot tells the group, “We might have some explaining to do about your lack of identification.”
Roman asks Jack, “Can you drop Cassie by the pub on your way?” Apparently, Jack has a limo waiting. Roman continues, “Cassie try to explain to pop what happened and I’ll get there as soon as I can.”
Marlena asks if they will just let Jack and Cassie walk off the plane.
Roman says he will deal with immigration, “And this gives you and I a few more moments to prepare and then we’ll go back to our real lives. Are you ready?”
John gets a call, “Damn, yeah, yeah, yeah.” He tells Kate the Fearsome Foursome weren’t on the plane that just landed.
Kate says, “That means they’re gone and we can’t stop them. Phillip is in a combat situation. How can we expect them to compete with a war?”
“Let’s go home,” says John. They start to walk out, but John collapses. Oooos and Aaahs from the crowd of gawkers in the airport.
Nicole says she was replacing the labels because they’re the wrong colors.
“My husband color-codes his files, too,” says Nancy.
“Is your husband Craig Wesley,” asks Nicole, “Oh he is my hero.”
Nancy hands her the file. Please take care of my daughter tomorrow she leaves. Man, is she ever easy.
As Nancy walks off, Nicole thinks, “Oh, Nancy Chloe’s surgery is going to be a real nightmare.”
“Bottom line,” says Bo, “Hope and I almost broke up. I can’t break any more promises with her.” But I will. Just you watch.
Billie says, “I need to know you’re with me, Bo, or I can’t do this.”
It’s time to break the horrible news to Chelsea. Jennifer says, “Sweetie your parents...” But in true DOOL fashion, Chelsea instantly falls asleep. Jennifer takes Abby out.
Jennifer thinks the nurses are waiting to tell Chelsea about her parents after she gets stronger.
Abby says, “She’ll never see her parents again except at the funereal. “We never even got that with Dad. He’s not coming back is he?”
Jennifer says, “There were times I wanted to believe he was, but he’s not. He’s gone.”
“No DiMeras in sight,” says Jack as he enters his house. Mickey is sitting on the couch. Jack says, “Mickey!”
Mickey says, “Jen’s not here, Jack... OOOHHH MMMYYY GGGOOODDD!
Jack says, “I’m here alive in the flesh. Long story short I was held hostage. What’s wrong?”
Mickey says, “Jack I’m afraid there was an accident. Abby. But she’ll be all right.” Jack rushes out. Mickey gives him the car keys.
The flummoxed Mickey stands at the door doddering as Jack heads for the hospital.
Marlena asks, “What if it’s not as we imagined?”
Roman says, “You’ve got a big case of the jitters. And I’m just the guy to fix that up.” He fixes a couple of drinks. “To us and going home.” Let’s get plastered we’re probably gonna need it. “We haven’t been separated in... How long has it been?” Interminable for your audience.
The pilot gives them clearance to leave the plane. So much for Roman dealing with immigration.
Off they go.
Kate asks how John feels. “Better, thanks.”
Kate says, “I think we should go home.”
John says, “There’s something I want to ask you first.”
Kate wants to go. John says, “No, all of a sudden I’m in a really big hurry to do this.” I’m about to collapse. We’re in the middle of a busy airport, what time could be more romantic?”
Nicole changes labels. The nurse grabs the files form her, “The anesthesiologist needs to review all the records before the surgery tomorrow.”
Nicole asks, “Should I, oh, what the hell, I’m desperate and he’s the only one who knows what to do here.” She dials the phone.
“You’re on your own,” says Bo, “and I’m not. I’m not free to go running off any more.” Even though I do it every other day.
“Oh,” says Billie, “so you’ll be at home holding Hope’s hand so she won’t be jealous.”
Bo says, “She has reason to be Jealous.”
The sarcastic Billie says, “A moment of silence for Hope’s suffering. If this had happened to you, I’d be there for you. Turn the car around I’ll go by myself. Who needs you?”
“Good question,” says Bo, “Georgia does. Our daughter needs me.”
Nicole flashes back to when Stami told her to be a nurse. No one answers the phone. Nancy comes up behind her talking to a nurse. She’s in agony waiting for the surgery tomorrow. Nicole eavesdrops. Nancy says, “Chloe has had complications before. What if the Dr. Slips or gets tired?”
Nicole thinks. She picks up a scalpel, “This isn’t the time to be squeamish. It’s the only way Brady will ever be mine.”
Bo pulls up to the place in Ogden. He has a bad feeling about this, “We just happened to have the address delivered to us, it’s the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere. It feels like a trap.”
Jack comes up to Maggie in the hospital. Maggie is shocked, “HOW...”
“Two words,” says Jack. Bad writers. “Tony DiMera.”
Abby always felt like Daddy was somewhere out there waiting to help them, “I guess it’s because I know where he is – in heaven. He’s at peace and I can talk to him. He can hear us, right?”
“I don’t doubt he can hear us,” says Jennifer.
Abby says, “I just want to be able to talk to him.”
“Listen,” says Jennifer, “let’s just say a prayer, OK? Lord we thank you for all the blessings you have given us. I pray you will heal Abby and help Chelsea. We want to thank you for Jack.” Jack walks into the room. “He was the best father and husband anyone could ask for. We know he can see us now. We will always love him.”
“Roman,” says Marlena in the airport, “we’re home.”
Roman says, “Now we just have to find John and Kate and give them one hell of a surprise.”
Kate thinks they should go home.
“You’re making it tough for me to propose,” says John.
Roman and Marlena will talk about how to break the news in the cab. Unfortunately, they don’t have any money, and cabbies usually want payment.
Kate asks, “Propose?”
“Ah,” says John, “Now I’ve got your attention.”
“Propose what?”
John says, “What does a man usually propose? I was going to make this more romantic, but I cannot wait to do this any longer.” He pulls out a ring with the Rock of Gibraltar mounted on it. “I wouldn’t have made it if you weren’t by my side. Kate Roberts, will you marry me.”
“Oh yes,” says Kate. They attack each other with Roman and Marlena in the background.
“Oh look,” says Marlena, “That couple is so much in love they are kissing in the airport. That’s romantic. It’s also convenient. They may just give us a lift home.” Marlena heads toward the couple. Roman chuckles and follows.

Jennifer turns around, “Oh my gosh! It can’t be.”
Kate tells John, “I know my future is with you. We’re going to be happy.”
“OMG. I don’t believe it,” says Roman.

All Roads Lead To Ogden
Nancy runs up to the hospital desk looking for Chloe. Chloe comes up and says she has been to St. Luke’s, “Brady was there. I wanted to talk to him so much just to let him know I was alive. But I didn’t. When he sees me I want him to see the woman he fell in love with. I just keep picturing walking down the aisle to him.”
Nurse Nicole is on duty, “That is not going to happen,” she thinks.
“It’s too late says Belle. They are gone.” Kate says she should have stopped them when she had the chance.
Belle freaks, “You knew they were going through with this plan? How could you?”
John asks the airport guard how this could happen, “Salem airspace was shut down. Well, I have a private jet and will go after them.” The guard reminds him there is a no-fly restriction.
Roman, Marlena and Jack are on the plane and homeward-bound. “I can’t believe we’re finally going home,” says Marlena.
“I told you this would happen,” says Roman.
Marlena suggests they should use the satellite phone to call the family. No, Roman thinks that would be a reasonable and responsible thing to do. He just wants to walk in on everyone so they can have all the fun of watching them have heart attacks. Jack agrees. Jack remembers this is Abby’s 17th birthday. Maybe he’ll be back in time for a party.
Abby wakes up in the hospital, “Where am I?”
Jennifer tells her she is in the hospital and was in an accident.
“Will I be all right?” Jennifer stares.
“Who is doing this to us,” asks Billie, as she holds up the terrifying bloody T-shirt.
“I’m gonna get some answers, and I’m gonna get ‘em now,” says Bo.
John tries to get past the guard. The guard won’t let him pass, “And if I may say so, you’re in no condition to go anywhere.” Low blow.
Belle lays into Kate for letting the boys go through with their plan. John comforts her. Kate stares.
“To think that in fewer than two hours I’ll be seeing John,” says Marlena. It’s just your standard puddle-jumping flight from Europe to Salem, “There are going to be so many happy reunions.”
Mimi says she is also angry with Kate. John tries to calm them down. Kate says, “I should have said something to stop them.”
Belle says to John, “None of this would be happening if she had acted, I hate her. You two aren’t together are you?” Kate and John stare.
Bo took the T-shirt to the lab. They have to find out if that was real blood, and then run DNA tests. He finds a luggage tag in the bag, “Humph, we have an address.”
“Maybe we’ll find her,” says Billie.
Bo says the address is in Ogden (Utah?). “It’s near here,” says Billie. Oh, that’s right, Salem is nestled right between Europe and Utah.
Bo says whoever sent this wants them to go to that address, “We’re waiting for the lab result. If it turns out to be Georgia’s blood we’ll come up with a plan.”
Billie overreacts, “What if it costs our daughter’s life? Are you willing to take that chance?”
Abby says, “I hurt all over.”
Jennifer is sorry.
“What about Chelsea and her parents?”
Jennifer gives her the bad news, “I’m sorry, honey, but her mother and father croaked. Chelsea’s injuries are more serious than yours. We need to pray for her.” In the meantime, she gives her Lambie.
“Remember when Dad brought her home for me,” asks Abby, “I wish he were here.”
“So do I.”
The plane continues its journey. Jack thinks, “Seventeen years old. I can’t imagine anything better than to get home in time to celebrate Abigail’s birthday.”
Jack imagines Jennifer making a cake and thinking, “The one surprise I couldn’t give Abby is her dad coming home.” Jack busts in and says, “Surprise!”
Back on the plane, Jack thinks, “Jennifer, I can’t wait to come home and surprise you.”
Marlena is wondering what it will be like to be with John again. She’s sure Roman is thinking the same thing about Kate. She wonders what they are walking into, “I think it’s going to be awkward.”
Belle asks John, “How can you even think of moving on with Kate?”
John says, “Your mother’s gone, honey. I’m still alive and I need to move on. I don’t know where I’d be without Kate. My life has been hell. Kate and I shared the same horrible pain once we lost Marlena and Roman. I’ve asked her to shack up with me permanently. I hope you can accept that.”
“I can’t. You’re making a huge mistake. You will both regret it.”
The nurse asks if Nicole is the new floater. Nicole hems and haws. The nurse will introduce Nicole to the people involved with the operation.
Jack stares out the plane window and imagines the reunion. Oh, the wonder of it. Then he imagines the real reunion with Jennifer.
“This time it WILL be for real,” he says.
Roman says Marlena should try to get some sleep.
Marlena says, “I can’t. Every time I close my eyes I see the video of Kate and John making love. And if we hadn’t seen them together we wouldn’t...”
“You’re right,” interrupts Roman.
Marlena asks, “How are we going to face them after what we’ve done?”
Kate asks if John wants to call their arrangement off. No, he wants her to move the rest of her things in, “I want you in my life. Not just until I am completely back on my feet. I want you in my life because I have fallen in love with you.”
Back at the apartment, Belle can’t believe this is happening, “Before Mom died I used to think things always worked out, but now I know that’s not true.”
Mimi says she’s going to look at Rex’ laptop and find out more about what the Fearsome Foursome is up to. Mimi scowls, “OMG this is incredible!”
Bo can’t find Hope and Lockhart’s car is not in the parking lot. Billie just wants to find Georgia.
The McDNA tests are in! The blood is a match.
Billie wants to check out that address with or without Bo.
Bo says, “You’re not rushing off again. You’re being irrational.”
Billie snaps back, “The hell I am. I am driving to Ogden with or without you. That is our daughter’s blood. Either she was in an accident or someone has hurt her. Haven’t we suffered enough?” Flashback to Georgia’s grave, “I will not bury my daughter again.”
“Well, you’re not driving to Ogden yourself. I’ll go with you,” says the idiot.
Jack’s imagination runs wild. The reunion is going well. The half naked couple covers up as Abby comes in. They escape to another room. Abby sees her presents and Jennifer rushes out with the cake, “You look disappointed.”
“Not at all,” says Abby.
“Well” says Jennifer, “I have a real surprise for you. What is the one thing you have wanted more than anything? Close your eyes.” Jack rushes out in a bow.
Abby opens her eyes, “Daddy!” Oh, the joy.
The nurse introduces Chloe to Nurse Nicole. Nicole fakes a nasal twang and says she has allergies. The nurse tells Nicole she sounds awful and should probably find a substitute for the big operation tomorrow.
Nicole says she will be fine and will be at the big event. “That was way too close,” she thinks to herself.
Nancy wants to know why Chloe is out of bed. She’s not sleepy. Nancy says, “You know you’re just worried about the operation.”
“Yeah,” says Chloe, “but I can’t stop thinking about Brady and seeing him today. I heard what he said – We’d be married by now and starting a family.” Nicole listens. Chloe continues, “After this surgery I will be ready to meet him.”
Nancy finishes the thought for her, “And I promise Brady will drop Nicole just like that,” she snaps her fingers.
“Yeah,” thinks Nicole, “but there won’t be any surgery.”
Roman says if they tell John and Kate they were together it will just bring trouble. Marlena says, “I can’t live a lie.”
Roman wonders, “Do you think they will tell us what they did?”
Marlena says, “I don’t know. I hate this position we’re in. If we say nothing we’re being deceitful. If we bring it up, it will be awkward.”
Roman pushes her, “Promise me you won’t say anything. What John and Kate don’t know won’t hurt them.”
John says, “I won’t lie to you. I still love Marlena and you love Roman. But I know they aren’t coming back.”
“Kate says I know, but...”
“I can’t live my life without you by my side,” says John.
“I know. I can’t help thinking about my sons right now.”
“Lets get this situation under control then we’ll talk about you and me, says John.”
Kate says, “I don’t’ know what I’d do without you.”
Mimi says, “This isn't about rescuing Phillip. Rex made a video for me in case he didn’t make it back.”
The lame video plays scenes of Mimi and Rex running across the screen like cartoon figures. After the two-bit intro, Rex comes on and says, “In case you haven’t gotten the message I love you and want to marry you, to love honor and protect you for all the Days Of Our Lives. I don’t care if we can’t have children. We’ll adopt.”
Mimi scowls, “Rex I don’t deserve you. What will you say when you hear the awful things I’ve done?”
Mimi imagines Rex coming home and finding her in chains, with a cop dragging her away. The cop spills the beans about the abortion because it’s Mimi’s motive. Mimi calls for Rex’ help. Rex says, “You lied to me. Who are you? I don't ever want to see you again.”
As the cop drags her out the door, Mimi screams, “I’m sorry.”
Mimi says, “I’m gonna lose Rex no matter what. I have to leave Salem... for good.”
Bo can’t find Hope. Billie says they can call her from the car. Jennifer just happens to walk out holding a cell phone. It’s Hope’s. She left it there so, conveniently, Bo can’t contact Hope to tell her about his stupid plan to go to Ogden. Jennifer advises Bo he shouldn’t go with Billie.
“Thanks Jen,” snaps Billie as she sticks the T-shirt in her face, “This is Georgia’s blood. She’s been hurt.”
Jennifer asks, “Hope has to know if he’s gong to run off and put his life in danger don’t’ you think?”
Jack daydreams. He meets Jack Jr. He tells Abby she has to blow out her candles and make a birthday wish. Abby says her wish already came true with Jack coming home. “It won’t be much longer now,” thinks Jack.
The guard at the airport says a private jet has just requested permission to land.
“Maybe,” says John, “the boys changed their mind.”
The nurse tells Chloe, “Dr Weiss is the best there is. He’ll look at the injuries with a sophisticated scanning system and if there is any problem, he’ll cancel the operation.”
“Thanks to me,” thinks Nicole, “there will be a problem.”
Nancy encourages Chloe to get back to bed.
Chloe says, “My face had better get back to normal so I can be with BB again.”
Nancy says, “It’ll all work out.”
“Not if I can help it,” thinks Nicole, “Now I just have to make sure the Dr. gets the wrong x-rays so the operation is canceled.” She starts going through files.
Nancy comes up behind her and shouts, “Just what do you think you’re doing?”
Billie rides the “Hope-hung-up-on-me” wave again, “I am not waiting one more minute. Bo doesn’t have to go, but I am going.”
Bo tells Jennifer things will be OK. “Tell hope if you see her.” You can bet on that.
“Hope isn’t gonna like this one bit,” says Jennifer.
Belle tells Mimi she can’t run away, “It’s not your fault. Jan fell and hit her head. Do what you tell me to do – follow your heart.”
Mimi watches the computer. Rex drones on, “I thank God for you every day, Mimi. I love everything about you. Your sense of humor, loyalty, goodness, that cute little way you wrinkle your nose every time you tell me a whopper, Remember how much I love you.”
Mimi whines, “If Rex gets killed it’s my fault. It’s God’s way of punishing me.”
“That’s ridiculous, says Belle, “We can’t blame ourselves, just pray for them to come home safely.”
John says they can’t ID the incoming aircraft.
Kate says, “I hope it’s our loved ones coming home to us.”
On the plane, Marlena says, “I can’t believe we’re finally home.”
We see a cornucopia of scenes from the plane, the airport and the hospital waiting room.

Billie tells Bo, “Let's go check out this lead and then you can go home to Hope.”
Jack comes in and finds Jennifer rambling, “...and he was the best husband anyone could ever hope for. I know he can see us now.”
Marlena says, “Roman, I’m... scared.”
Kate says to John, “The past is in the past, and I believe with all my heart that my future is with you.”
The Cavalier Captive
Hope paces in the waiting room. Patrick comes in and asks about Abby. Hope tells him Abby is out of danger but Jennifer blames Hope for hanging up on Billie. Patrick says he was there and doesn’t blame Hope at all.
Billie worries about Chelsea. She can’t imagine what she is going to do when she learns about her parents. Bo tries to be positive.
Billie just won’t let go of the fact Hope hung up on her, “You know what was hard – being so helpless. If Hope had only given you the message.”
Bo says, “Billie this tragedy has brought up thoughts of Georgia. When this is over we’ll start looking for her again.”
Lexi comes out and Billie asks how Chelsea is. Lexi stares.
Belle wonders what if Shawn doesn’t come back. Maybe they should tell the police what Jan did to Shawn. Mimi doesn’t think that’s a good idea. If they told the police about that, the police would know she had a motive. Which I thought they already did anyway. Mimi tells Belle Rex is going out of town
Belle says, “Shawn is leaving town, Rex is leaving town, Meems, is there something going on they aren’t telling us?”
Rex finishes his downloads. The guys talk about what Mimi and Belle think about them going out of town. Lucas and Brady arrive. “Hey, guys,” says Rex, “we’ve got a problem.”
Sami puts on her makeup and becomes Stan, “Brady won’t be able to rescue Phillip, and if he does make it back he won’t be with Chloe. REVENGE is so sweet. Let’s see who’s next on my agenda. He opens a paper. “Phillip?”
Pan to Phillip thinking something strange is going on, “I gotta get out of here before it’s too late.”
Kate flashes back to her conversation with Lucas. John is playing with his computer. She asks how he is feeling. He’s dealing with the pain. He has discovered his ISA computer has been broken into. He’s ordering a full-scale investigation.
“No,” says Kate, “You can’t do that.”
He asks, “Do you know something about this, Kate?”
Innocent little Kate asks, “Why would you think I know anything about that?”
John wants to know, “Why did you react the way you did? I know you don’t want to endanger Philip's life, but if you know who’s hacking in tell me now.”
“Oh God,” says Kate, “just hold me. I may have done something really terrible. I think I let our sons put themselves in terrible danger.”
Rex went to a classified website, Hmmm... I wonder if Prevuze should be classified. “John may know and it looks like he’s called for a full-scale investigation.” They decide they have to go now. Rex twiddles to see if he can throw John off their trail.
Mimi thinks Rex and Shawn going away is a coincidence. Belle is suspicious, “If he and Rex are leaving at the same time and if they won’t tell us where, hello... they’re going to rescue Phillip! This is a suicide mission. We have to stop them. Come on.”
Phillip struggles. A creep walks in. “Rough day,” asks the cavalier captive?
“Maybe for you,” sneers the guard.
“No,” says Phillip, “I’m talking about you. I’m getting strange vibes. You haven’t gotten any orders from command and you don’t know what to do next, do you?” How on earth would Phillip know there are no orders coming in?
The guy slugs Philip. So much for being cavalier.
Phillip says, “I guess I hit a nerve, huh.”
“Bad news,” the creep tells his compatriot in private.
Stami contemplates his assignment. He reads on. Wait for instructions. Be patient. All will be revealed.
Hope thanks Patrick but says it’s her fault. Hope is even joining in on the Hope-bashing-festival, “Do you know how many of these calls I’ve gotten form Billie? Then the next thing you know Bo’s on a plane with her.”
Patrick says Billie not getting in touch with Bo didn’t make the difference.
Hope asks, “Why are you taking my side?”
“I’m not taking sides, I’m just telling you how it is.”
Hope says, “I just wish Jen and Bo could see it that way.”
Patrick brought Lambie for Abby. He’ll talk to Jennifer about Hope when he sees her.
Hope says, “Thanks. We just have to pray the girls will be all right.”
Lexi says Chelsea survived the surgery, “She is not out of the woods. It will be a difficult recovery IF she pulls through.”
Hope overheard what Lexi said. Hope says she’ll pray Chelsea will be all right.
That was Billie’s cue to rant, “How can she ever recover from this? You have ruined that young girl’s life.”
Bo tells Billie to cool it.
Billie ramps it up, “Because of Hope's ridiculous jealousy two people died tonight.”
Bo says, “Billie, don’t talk to my wife that way.” Billie stomps off.
Bo tells Hope Billie is reacting to what happened tonight.
Patrick comes up and says it was not Hope’s fault. Bo doesn’t want Lockhart’s two-cents-worth. Patrick wants Bo to step up and take responsibility for his actions. Bo wants to take it outside. Hope referees.
Lexi gets a page, “It’s Abe, I hope he’s OK.” She leaves.
The girls come into the apartment calling for Rex and Shawn. They aren’t there. Belle says if Shawn was going to put his life in danger he’d have left a note. She remembers he gave her a key to grandpa Tom’s trunk. That’s where the message might be. Flashback to the tender moment when Shawn gave her the key to the trunk.
Belle and Mimi open the trunk. Belle goes thorough the memorabilia in there, “Look, Shawn saved everything.” Stained glass, broken motorcycle parts, everything. She finds a videotape. They pop it in the recorder and watch.
Shawn pours his heart out on tape. He’s sorry he can’t tell her before he goes, “I’m doing this for you – us. If anything happens to me, if I get captured or killed, you’ll go to our special place and find this and I can say a real goodbye.”
The boys get to the airport. Brady will check with the pilot to make sure they are cleared for takeoff. Will is with Maggie and Mickey. Lucas starts to call him. Rex asks, “Isn’t Bonnie with them, too? That should be interesting.”
“He wouldn’t be there,” says Lucas, “if Sami hadn’t abandoned him. I’m going to call. This might be the last time I hear my son’s voice.”
Bo sees on his cell phone he missed a call from Shawn. He goes over to the pay phone to return the call. Can’t use a cell phone in a hospital, you know. So how did Bo know he got the message if his phone was off?
Shawn stutters, “Thanks for calling. I was just calling to say hi. How are you and Mom?” Bo tells him about the accident.
“That’s awful I’m really sorry. Well look Dad, I know you must be busy there. Is Jennifer OK?”
Bo says, “She’s pretty upset.”
“Just give her and Abby my best,” says Shawn.
Bo hears a plane in the background, “Shawn where are you? What’s going on?”
BB says, “If my dad catches us our asses are grass.”
John asks what Kate means by that, “I don’t have to ask you who hacked in do I? Are Rex, Lucas and my son on the way to try to rescue Phillip? DAMMIT TO HELL they re going to get themselves killed.” John mumbles. John gestures. He makes a call to try to stop them.
“I love you,” Shawn says on tape, “I always will. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you what I was dong before I left. Me, Rex, Brady, Lucas all have a [cockamamie] plan to rescue Phillip. I’m doing this because I love you. There are no words to describe how much you mean to me. You make me a better person. If I die, I have no regrets, knowing you will always love me. My life is complete. So, then I’ll be in heaven* and be waiting for you, and I will never stop loving you. Goodbye Belle.”
*Debatable
Mimi notes, “Rex could die too.”
Belle, a woman of action says, “Not if we have anything to do with it. Come on.”
Shawn says he’s on the roof and a plane flew over, “The reason I called is I wanted to thank you for the talk we had up here. I want to set new goals, do new things.”
Bo says, “That’s great, but you aren’t taking anymore risks, right?”
“Yeah. Listen, my cell phone battery is dying, so tell Mom I love her.”
“All right, bye,” Bo says into the dead phone. He goes back to Billie and asks if everything is OK. She says, “I hope so.”
Shawn hates to lie to Bo but, “at least they won’t worry till I get back.”
Stami thinks, “The whole world knows Phillip is being held hostage. What if my cover gets blown? This could be dangerous.”
The creep comes in and announces the DiMera castle has gone up in flames. Meanwhile, Phillip struggles. One of the links of his chains is pulling apart.
Lexi argues with Abe, “I didn’t mean to sound like I have a job and you don’t.” OMG, his manhood is challenged, “Honey. I was in surgery. Don’t hang up.” Silence.
Patrick tells Hope Bo takes Billie's side whenever she and Bo have and argument about Billie.
Bo is concerned about Shawn’s phone call, “Shawn sounded more like himself, though.” I don’t really agree. I thought he sounded fairly sane.
Billie says, “Hope will be happy to hear that.”
“I’ll tell her later,” says Bo.
Billie says, “Hey you can’t count on later Bo. Look what happened tonight. No girl Chelsea’s age should be alone.” Billie flashes back to Georgia’s gravestone, “I know I haven’t been around lately and I’m going away for a long time. Oh, Georgia if only you had lived. We’d have had the most amazing life. You me and your daddy.”
Billie says, “I can’t stop thinking about Georgia.” Bo hugs her. Hope watches. The tympani’s roll.
Brady tells the gang the jet’s been grounded.
“It’s a done deal,” says John, “I just used my last favor. The ISA is grounding all the planes out of Salem. How could you let him do that? If they make that flight we may never see them again.”
Belle and Mimi come in, “You have to stop them, Dad. We found a video. We know what they are up to. I want Philip rescued, but what if they all wind up dead.” They all head for the airport.
Patrick tells Hope, “You can’t change what happened. The best thing you can do now is leave.” Hope scowls.
A nurse hands Billie a bag. Someone left it for her at the front desk. She looks inside and stares at Bo.
Stami gets a call, “I have your next assignment,” says the disguised voice.”
Stami says, “If you want me to go after Phillip you can forget it.”
The guard has discovered Phillip's weak chain, “Where do you think you are going?”
“Holding him makes us a target,” says the creep, “There’s only one thing we can do... kill him.”
The voice on the phone tells Stan to look outside the door. Stan finds a box. He opens it. Military camouflage. The voice says, “That’s your disguise and you’ll have all the firepower you need.”
Stami says, “This is too dangerous.”
The voice says, “This is the price you pay to get your REVENGE.
“OMG. This could be suicide,” thinks Sami.
The creeps load up to kill Phil.
“I reversed the order to ground the plane,” says Brady, “Money talks.”
John rushes into the airport and they tell him the plane is taking off.
Lexi tells Abe she will be home soon. I thought he hung up. Oh well. They can relax and listen to music and he doesn’t need his eyes for what else she has in mind, “Oh, well, if you’re tired I won’t wake you when I get in. Good night. I lov...” dead phone, “you.”
Hope peers though the window. Patrick has suggested going for a ride or a cup of coffee. “Let’s do it,” says Hope.
Billie takes the contents out of the bag. It’s a T-shirt with a tag that says, ”Georgia.” It is also covered in blood.
FF on the bewildered Bo.

“Who is doing this to us,” asks Billie. Bo says, “I’m gonna get some answers and get ‘em now.”
Mimi says, “No matter what I do I’m gonna lose Rex. I have to leave Salem... for good.”
John tells Kate, “I want you in my life because I have fallen in love with you.”
Roman tells Marlena, “What John and Kate don’t know will not hurt them.”
Crying Over Spilled Milk
We see a shot of a beautiful stained glass window. Where are Shawn with his motorcycle when you need him? Hooded Chloe comes up to the altar, “Please, Dear God, let the surgery be successful and let my face heal quickly so I can tell Brady I’m alive before he winds up married to Nicole.”
Nicole worries Brady is risking his life so he can be reunited with Chloe, “Then it will be so-long Nicole, hello one true love of my life.”
Stami comes to the door. He knows Nicole is still thinking about what he said. She has to sneak into the hospital and stop the surgery, “With this.” Stami holds up a paper bag.
Kate tries to convince the Four Mouseketeers they should not be going on the mission, “When John finds out about the mission, he’ll put a stop to it.” If he can sober up long enough. Kate picks up the phone. Shawn takes it from her.
Mimi comes into Belle’s apartment, “My whole life is over. I am about to lose Rex and if Jan dies I’ll go to prison for the rest of my life.”
Jennifer talks to Abby, “I’m so glad the doctors said you will be all right. I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.”
Bo berates Hope about hanging up on Billie. Billie happily joins in. Hope says she thought Billie was exaggerating when she said it was an emergency. We’re really crying over spilled milk here. “They’re dead because of you, Hope,” says Billie.
“It’s not just that I want to be well again, but you have to save BB from winding up with that witch Nicole,” prays Chloe. “Witch” - you don't use the B-word when you're talking to God.
Stami shows Nicole what is in the bag – a full set of surgical scrubs complete with booties and a mask as well as a counterfeit nurses’ ID.
“You want me to pretend to be a nurse?”
“Unless you want Chloe back in Brady’s arms.”
“There is no way I can stop that operation,” says Nicole.
Billie pours it on, “That poor girl is in surgery fighting for her life and has lost her parents.” Hope stands right next to Satan for what she did. Bo was the only person in Salem – no the entire world – who could have gotten help there sooner.
Hope is sorry, but she says Billie is like the girl who cried, “wolf.”
Billie rants, “Two people are dead and a young girl is an orphan all because you begrudge me and my daughter having a small place in Bo’s life.” You go girl – lay it on thick.
Mimi thinks Tec somehow set them up to break into Jan’s house, “I know I shouldn’t have run away from the scene, but I was scared and that creepy guy was there. If Jan dies, I’ll wind up in the death chamber.”
Lucas says they all want Phillip home safe. Rex reminds Kate they are using John’s wonderful plan. Yeah, it was so great the ISA flushed it right down the toilet.
“No, you stole it,” says Kate.
Shawn says they’ve wasted enough time. They have to get going, “If we don’t leave Salem Phillip is going to die over there.”
Rex closes up the console. BB tells Lucas and Rex to talk to their mom as he and Shawn leave. Kate picks up the phone to call John. The boys stare.
Bo bawls out Hope. Billie piles on. Jennifer comes out and Hope runs over to her. Abby is stable. Jennifer sees something is wrong. Billie is having the time of her life. She tells Jennifer what Hope did. Billie is relentless. Hope is anguished.
Lucas asks Kate to listen to them before she makes the call. “OK, talk,” says Kate.
Lucas asks Rex to leave.
“Wait,” Rex protests, “She’s my mother too.” Lucas says he knows her better. Mom always liked him best.
Rex leaves and Kate and Lucas argue. Kate says it doesn’t mean anything to her if BB and Shawn get killed in the operation.
Belle tells Mimi to stop feeling guilty. Even though she is. Mimi says, “Once I start telling lies, I can’t stop. What am I going to do?” Uh, don’t start telling lies?
Shawn videotapes a message to Belle. He can’t tell her in person before he goes because she would try to stop him. If anything happens to him she’ll have this video and can see his tearful goodbye. If he dies, that’s a brain science wants to keep and study. The human race doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.
Stami says Nicole has never let anything get in the way of what she wants. Nicole asks “Who the hell are you?”
Stami thinks, “I’m Sami Brady, you slut, and I can’t believe I am helping you get your claws into Brady.” He tells her he’s the guy who’s going to help her get BB. He’s doing it because he thinks she’s despicable and being with her will ruin BB’s life.
Nicole says, “I’m not doing anything for you until I know who you are. Where did you get all this stuff?”
Stami says, “Let’s just say I have a good friend who’s helping me out. I have ways to get what I am after, but you, either you stop this operation or you will lose the man you love.”
Chloe knows Brady loves her for who she is, “but I also know if I went to him like this it would be just like when I had leukemia. He would drop everything to help me. I won’t be a burden to him a second time.” She lights a candle. Who walks in but Brady himself. He lights a candle. He asks, “Do you mind if I pray here?” Chloe turns away. “Are you all right,” he asks.
Lucas asks if it’s really OK with Kate if BB and Shawn get killed.
Kate spits, “Shawn doesn’t give a damn about Phillip. This is just another one of his schemes to get Belle, and I can’t believe you bought it. Let Shawn and Brady do it. Let them risk their lives.”
Lucas says, “The plan takes 4 people. Do you want Phillip home?” Kate stares.
Mimi doesn’t want to lose Rex. Belle says, “Then trust in your love. Tell him. Without trust and honesty there is no relationship.” Rex knocks and asks if Mimi is there. Belle lets him in.
He comes in and says he needs to talk to her. Belle leaves to give them privacy.
Rex has something to tell Mimi and STOP THE PRESSES, Mimi says she has something to tell Rex. He says she won’t like what he has to tell her.
Shawn packs. Belle is at the door. She comes in and sees him packing. Belle wants to know what he is doing. “I’m gong out of town for a few days,” says Shawn. Belle stares.
Chloe hesitates. Then she says she’s fine and runs off. Brady prays, “Dear God, how ya’ doin’ stranger, please watch over Phillip and bring him home safely. I know it sounds strange to hear me pray. I haven’t done it much since Chloe died. If she were alive we’d be engaged, maybe married. Building our future. I came to pray about Phillip, but it's all about Chloe. It’s always about Chloe. I wish she could come back to me. I know you can work miracles, but that is one miracle which is never going to happen.
“Being with me,” says Nicole, “is the best thing that ever happened to Brady. Why are you doing this?”
Stami says, “I hate BB and want to see him suffer.”
Nicole asks, “What did he ever done to you?”
Stami flashes back to all his/her arguments with Brady, “That’s personal, but Brady needs to be punished and the way to do that is never to have him get together with Chloe. Hooking him up with you will make it even worse for him.”
“So what you’re saying is you get REVENGE on Brady and at the same time, I wind up with him.”
“Yes, all you have to do is stop Chloe’s operation.” He hands the scrubs to Nicole.
Hope tries to explain herself. She walks off with Bo and tells him she is sorry. Bo says Billie is just determined to do everything she can to help Chelsea, “Let's not focus on what we can’t change.” Hope frets.
Kate says she wants Phillip home safe, but she doesn’t want to risk the lives of her other sons to get that. Lucas says Rex and he can’t let Phillip rot in some hellhole.
Stami says if Nicole isn’t on board he will have to find some other way to destroy Brady’s life and maybe hers too. They hear Brady coming in and rush Stami into another room.
Brady tells Nicole he’s leaving, while Stami listens.
Rex says he’s got to go away for a little while, “It’s like a field trip.” Where he is going is remote. He won’t be in touch by cell phone.
Mimi isn’t too shook up about this. Rex says, “You seem kind of relieved that I’ll be out of touch, Mimi. Is there something going on you don’t want me to know about?” Mimi stares.
Belle wants to know why Shawn is leaving. The dim little light bulb in her head comes on. He’s going to rescue Phillip. Shawn denies it. “Then,” asks Belle, “why are you going away?”
“Because of you,” says Shawn.
Chloe comes back to the candles. She prays, “When Brady knelt beside me it was all I could do not to let him see it was me. With your help that miracle will happen. I’ll finally be healed and Brady and I can be together all the Days Of Our Lives.”
Nicole says, “Maybe you shouldn’t rush into this. What if...”
“Listen,” interrupts Stami, “it has to be NOW.”
Nicole tells Brady, “I guess ‘be careful’ sounds pretty lame.”
“Not to me.”
“Come home to me, Brady.”
“I will and remember I have that surprise for you when I come back.”
“I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone,” says Nicole.
“I love you too,” says Brady. He goes upstairs to get ready. Nicole cries as Stami comes in.
“Oh, very touching – I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone,” he mocks.
“It’s true, says Nicole, “and he said he loves me too.”
“Yeah, but not more than anyone else. When he comes home, who’s he coming home to? You or the newly beautiful Chloe? You know what you have to do.”
Stami leaves. Outside he says, “How perfect. I got him.” Nicole watches him leave.
“What’s John gonna do when he finds out,” asks Kate.
“Hopefully,” says Lucas, “Phillip will be back by then. We’re running out of time. Promise me you won’t tell anyone about this mission, especially John. Promise you will look after Will.”
Kate says, “You can’t do this to Will. He hands her a letter for Sami, in case he doesn’t come back. He tells her it’s about Will. Kate takes the letter and promises him she will always watch over Will.”
Lucas promises to call Will. He leaves. “Oh, God please be careful,” whines Kate.
Mimi says she isn’t relieved Rex is going away. “It’s just we’ve both been so worried about what’s gong on with Phillip, Belle and Jan. Hopefully these things will be resolved for the best when you get back.”
She promises she will be waiting for him. “Unless I’m in jail,” she thinks.
Shawn says it’s hard being around Belle but not being able to be with her. So he needs to take off for a while and clear his head. That’ll take about two minutes.
Belle is peeved. She says he’s doing the same thing he did last summer, “You’re just running away form our problems. You are a coward. You’re not doing this because you love me. You’re doing it because it’s easier. And, as usual, you’re putting your needs ahead of mine and everyone else’s.”
“That is not true,” says Brainiac.
Belle goes on, “Phillip’s mom was right. You’re selfish and immature. She storms out.”
“When we return,” says Shawn, “you’ll realize I did this for you and our future.”
Jennifer doesn’t understand why Hope hung up. It’s “Gang Up On Hope Day” in Salem. Jennifer asks, “What if Chelsea dies? What if Abby has a permanent injury?” Jennifer runs off.
The nurse tells Billie and Bo Chelsea is out of surgery. They ask how she is. The nurse says they have to wait for Dr. Carver to tell them. Billie says that isn’t a good sign. If Chelsea was OK, the nurse would have told them instead of making them wait, “What if Chelsea’s dead,” asks Billie. Bo hugs her as Billie stares daggers at Hope.

Phillip tells the creeps, “You haven’t gotten any orders and you don’t know what to do next.” The creep says through his ski mask, “Kill him,” and points his rifle at Phillip.
Two Cans Short Of A Six Pack
Tec arrests Mimi. Bonnie says he can’t do that. He set them up, “That’s entrapment. I’ve seen it on Law and Order.”
Mimi says, “Mom, give it up. We might as well tell him the truth. It’s all gonna come out eventually.”
Stami flashes back to an argument with Brady. Look at Sami cross-eyed and she’ll get her REVENGE. Brady made the mistake of not saving Marlena. Stami smiles, “How lucky can a girl be? I get to ruin things forever between Brady and the woman he loves.”
Nicole sucks down a big martini. She wonders where Brady is. She has to think of some way to keep him and Chloe apart, “Why don’t you leave that up to me,” asks Stami.
“All clear,” says Brady, as the trio breaks into Basic Black, “All right, guys, let’s get to work. There’s a whole other level of classified info that my dad doesn’t have access to at home.” Brady pushes a button, which opens a wall panel revealing an ISA console, “We can use my dad’s password to get in there and download more information on Phillip.”
Rex says, “If I log into that thing I can get us all killed.” With Rex’ hacking skills that might be true of any computer.
Lexi says she wasn’t talking about Jennifer when she said, “She didn’t make it.” As we all guessed, it was Chelsea’s mother who died, not Abby. Mr. B is in surgery and it’s not looking good.
“My God,” says Billie, “That poor little girl could lose both her parents.”
Jennifer asks Patrick to call Hope. Patrick asks Billie if she is OK. “Yeah,” says the dazed Billie, “I’m OK.” The nurse tells Billie Chelsea is asking for her.
Billie goes into Chelsea’s room. Chelsea asks if her parents are OK. “The doctors are with them,” lies Billie, “I’m not going anywhere. I promised your mom I’d take care of you. That’s what I’m gonna do.”
The phone rings in the Brady bedroom. Bo waits for the machine to kick in. It’s Patrick. Hope answers. He tells them about the accident. He runs down the conditions of each of the victims.
Meanwhile, back at the castle, the fire rages. Marlena hugs Cassie.
Jack crawls out of the rubble grunting and groaning. He sees Roman lying unconscious, “Oh no Roman, don’t be dead. I’m getting you out of here.” No response from Roman.
Debris falls as Victor tries to help Caroline. She can’t feel her legs.
Jack struggles over to Roman, “Don’t do this to me. You gotta wake up.” No response.
Cassie snivels, “They aren’t coming out.” Marlena reassures her.
Jack says, “Roman, listen to me. We’re running out of time. Marlena and Cassie are outside. We’re counting on you.” Roman stirs. He asks Jack what happened. Jack helps him up.
Caroline’s legs are trapped under the beam. It’s too heavy for Victor. “Nether one of you is going anywhere,” says Bart.
Rex hacks. Lucas arrives with a suitcase full of stuff. “Where did you get all that stuff,” asks Brady.
Bonnie tells Mimi not to say a word. Mimi just wants it all over with. Tec asks if she wants him to read her rights. Mimi says she didn’t attack Jan. She flashes back to Jan tripping, “We were arguing and she tripped. I left her but I didn’t know what else to do. I thought the cops would get the wrong idea. I never wanted her to get hurt. She’s a horrible person.”
Bonnie warns, “Watch it, Meems.”
“Mom,” says Mimi, “I waived my rights because I have nothing to hide. I’m going to tell Tec the truth – all of it.”
Billie and Patrick talk about the accident. “If anything happened to Abby, Jennifer couldn’t handle it,” says Patrick.
Bo arrives and asks Billie what she is doing there. She tells him she and Patrick were the first ones at the scene of the accident. “Are you OK,” he asks. Billie says she is not OK.
Lexi tells Jen she can go in and see Abby. Jennifer stares at her crushed and broken daughter, “Mommy’s here baby. It’s your birthday, you know. Did you think I forgot? We’re supposed to be having your surprise party right now. Oh, baby.”
Nicole tells Stami she’s not sure getting involved with him is the right thing.
Stami says it isn’t about her, it’s about Brady, “If Chloe is out of the picture, Brady will wind up married to you. I can’t imagine anything worse. If I were Brady and knew Chloe was alive, you’d mean about as much to me as a two-dollar whore.” SLAP.
Lucas has stuff left over from his days as a DiMera associate. He’s got visas and other things they need.
Rex finds a huge file on the computer, “This is everything we need to know.”
Kate interrupts, “What the hell is going on in here?” The boys stare.
Marlena and Cassie decide not to separate.
Roman and Jack struggle. They head out to get Cassie and Marlena.
Victor asks Bart to help them.
“No,” says Bart, “The count wouldn’t like that. It wouldn’t make his day, especially if this is his last one.”
Caroline is happy to find out Roman, Marlena, Jack and Cassie are alive.
Victor Begs Bart to help, “Take me, instead of her. That's a fair trade, me for her.”
“You’re really in love with her aren’t you,” asks Bart.
“She’s the love of my life,” says Vic.
Bart starts to help. The castle collapses.
“My God I don’t’ believe it,” says Roman, seeing something in the debris.
The girls watch the carnage.
Bonnie tells Tec Mimi is innocent, “Jan is two cans short of a six-pack, but Mimi wouldn’t want to hurt her.”
Mimi tells Tec She wouldn’t have been sorry if Jan left town. She tells Tec about the abortion. She tells him about the blackmail, “I should have told the truth a long time ago and none of this would have been happening right now. Jan wanted Shawn and that’s why she was blackmailing me.”
“Sounds like we’ve got motive,” says Tec, “You wanted her out of the way.”
“Yeah,” says Mimi, “I hated her and I wanted her dead.”
Hope tells Jennifer Lexi says Abby will be fine. She doesn’t want Jennifer to blame herself for this. Yeah, we know who will be blamed for this.
Bo and Billie hug. Bo pours coffee. Mmmmmm, chewy hospital coffee. A Starbuck’s Vente Latte this ain’t. Billie couldn’t help but think of Georgia when she was holding Chelsea’s hand.
Chelsea is ready for the OR. Lexi answers the phone. Bad news, “OK, Thanks for letting me know.” Lexi walks out into the waiting room. She tells Billie Chelsea should be on the way to surgery, “He father, we lost him.” Billie cries.
Stami arranges his mustache after the assault. He threatens to call Brady and tell him Chloe is alive unless Nicole apologizes. She refuses and he starts to call. She changes her mind. She wants his help.
“Listen up,” says Stami, “You only have one shot to keep Ghoul Girl away from Brady. You have to see to it that her surgery never happens.”
Kate wants to know what’s going on. Brady says they just needed some information. John doesn’t know they are there, but they are doing this to find Phillip.
Kate explodes, “Don’t you realize by interfering with the ISA you could be putting Phillip in more danger? You don’t know what you are doing. I’m calling John now and I’m going to put a stop to this.”
“I can’t let you do that,” says Rex.
Roman finds a satellite phone in the rubble, “This might just come in handy.” They take the phone and leave.
The boys rush out of the castle and we have the happy reunion.
Bonnie tells Mimi to shut up. Mimi protests. “I hated Jan Spears with every bone in my body, but I didn’t try to kill her. I ran because I was scared.”
Steely-eyed Tec decides not to arrest her. He knows things aren’t always like they look. Years ago a similar thing happened to his sister. If Jan wakes up and corroborates Mimi’s story she’s off the hook. Oh, that’ll happen. If Jan dies he will arrest Mimi for murder.
Mimi and Bonnie leave. Tec stares.
“Thank God you’re safe,” says Bonnie.
Mimi whines, “Mother, don’t you see, it doesn’t matter. I am doomed whether Jan lives or dies.”
Billie is in shock, “OMG, it’s really happened. She’s lost both her parents. What will happen to her now?”
Lexi needs consent for the surgery. Billie steps up to the plate. She will take care of Chelsea. There was an EMT there who witnessed Mrs B telling Billie she wanted her to do that. Lexi goes to find the EMT.
Bo thinks this is an incredible thing Billie is doing, taking care of a girl she doesn’t know.
“I feel like I do know her. I just wish I could have done more to save her parents.”
“You did everything you could,” Bo hugs Billie as guess who, Hope, comes in and watches.
Mimi says if Jan dies she’ll be arrested for murder, and if she doesn’t die, Jan will lie.
Bonnie wonders, “Why didn’t you just keep quiet?”
Mimi says, “My whole life is over anyway. When Rex finds out what I did I will lose him forever.”
Nicole wants to know how she can stop Chloe’s operation.
“Don’t worry NURSE Nicole,” says Stami, “Together we’ll make sure the ugly duckling never turns into the swan.”
“Kate tells the boys they are delusional.” In this particular instance, Kate knows whereof she speaks. She tells Shawn, “The only reason you want to do this is so you can steal Phillip’s wife.” Shawn protests. Kate asks, “Is there no end to your selfishness?”
Lucas says Shawn didn’t drive them into anything. They made their own decisions.
Brady says, “With all due respect, Kate, you can’t stop us.”
“No,” says Kate, “But John and the ISA can. I’m calling John.” She picks up the phone but the bullies grab it from her.
The castle rumbles as the group talks. Roman uses the satellite phone to call a buddy of his who owns a plane, “We’ll be in Salem by morning.”
Victor and Caroline run out another door. Caroline says, “We did it Victor, we got out.”
“We’re going home,” says Vic.
Bart searches for Tony. He finds a crushed body wearing Tony’s ring. “NO,” says Bart, “you can’t be dead.” Zone in on the ring and bloody hand.
Patrick brings Jennifer coffee. Jennifer says Abby is stable. Jennifer is going to stay there in case Abby wakes up. Patrick wraps Jennifer in a blanket. “You’re always here when I need you,” says Jen.
“I always will be,” says Patrick.
Hope comes up and they go through the litany of who made it and who didn’t. I guess things are just too somber for Hope to go into a tirade right now.
Lexi has spoken to the EMT and he confirmed what Mrs B said. Lexi says, “What’s really sad is this all could have been prevented.” Here it comes, “If the EMS had gotten there sooner they would probably have survived.”
Bo tells Billie, “Too bad you didn't call me. I would have done something to speed up the process.”
“I did call,” says Billie, “But Hope hung up on me. If anyone is responsible for this, it’s Hope.”
FF on the despicable, murdering Hope.

Bo tells the guilt-ridden Hope, “If I had known about this accident I could have gotten Chelsea’s parents here to the hospital sooner.”
“They’re dead because of you, Hope,” says the comforting Billie.
Belle yells at Shawn, “You’re not doing this because you love me. You’re doing it because it’s easier. And, as usual, you’re putting your needs ahead of mine and everyone else’s.”
Rex says, “You seem kind of relieved that I’ll be out of touch, Mimi. Is there something going on you don’t want me to know about?”
Brady comes up to the hooded Chloe in church and asks, “Do you mind if I pray here?”
Where are the pictures?
Prevuze is too popular! We're getting too many hits for our resource host to support the data transfer rate on the pictures. I will correct this situation later today and, one way or another, we'll have the pictures back tomorrow. Thanks for your patience and thanks for making Prevuze so popular.
I Don't Take Kindly To Bullies
Down at the dock, the three stooges hope he shows. The operation requires four men. “How do we know we can trust him,” asks Shawn.
Lucas shows. The boys tell him the plan. They need help. They sure do. Professional help.
Victor and Caroline are playing Gin. She’s waxing him 127 to 19. Caroline asks if he smells smoke. “Now that you mention it...”
The quartet fries and the flames roll in.
Bart discovers the abyss Tony has fallen into, “He’s surprised me before but there is no way the Phoenix can rise form the ashes again.” This time he's even got real ashes to rise from.
Poor Jennifer puts the finishing touches on the party. Patrick busts in. She runs off at the mouth. He stops her, “I have bad news. Really bad.”
The paramedics hustle at the scene of the accident. Billie talks to Chelsea. She’s stopped breathing. Billie screams for help. The paramedic works mouth to mouth. Too bad it’s not Patrick. “I’m sorry,” he says.
Billie asks, “What are you doing? Why are you stopping?”
Mimi has come to the hospital bearing gifts for Jan – a balloon and candy. I’m sure Jan will really enjoy the candy when they feed it to her through her tube. Mimi flashes back to the big argument with Jan. She loves Rex and won’t lose him because of a psycho like Jan. They fight. Jan falls down and breaks her crown.
Now Mimi flashes back to the questioning form Tec, “How do I get into these messes? If Jan wakes up I’m dead.”
“Which is why you need to 86 those gifts girl, and get the hell out of Salem,” says Bonnie.
Patrick lays the horrible news on Jennifer. The driver of the other car was drunk. He died at the scene. Panic. They’re off to the hospital. Pan in on the pitiful, lonely little stuffed lambie waiting for Abby to come home to the party.
Billie continues the CPR on Chelsea, “Come on baby don’t you give up.” The paramedic asks her to stop. Billie won’t. Chelsea chokes. SHE’S ALIVE!
Lexi comes up. The paramedic tells her Billie is a miracle worker.
Billie goes over to Mrs. Benson. Her dying eyes stare at Billie.
Bonnie wants to know if Mimi is out of her mind. Coming back here makes her look guilty.
“News flash Mom, I am guilty.”
Bonnie grabs the chocolates, “I’m not letting you waste these on the likes of Jan Spears. Bonnie encourages Mimi to leave, “You watch Law and Order; the perp always comes back to the scene of the crime.”
Mimi reminds Bonnie the hospital is not the scene of the crime.
Tec comes up. He wants the truth.
Lucas wants the truth, too - the full story. He wants Phillip back, but doesn’t get it. The guys tell him they have their hands on a very detailed plan. It’s John’s plan. Each one of them will have a very detailed assignment. Rex hands him an outline of the mission and its objectives.
Lucas asks, “If this plan is so freaking great how come the ISA shot it down?”
Caroline and Victor pile pillows in front of the door to keep the smoke out. They choke. The pillows aren’t working. They decide to break the window out. Things get worse. Victor pounds the door, “Help! Get us out of here!”
Jack covers himself in a rug and runs out. He makes it. The chandelier crashes down on him. Jack lies crushed. Lights out, so to speak.
Tec grills Mimi. Mimi tells him she doesn’t know anything more. He wants to know about the acrylic nail. He sees she comes bearing gifts. Bonnie offers him a chocolate. Tec asks if she is trying to bribe him. Bonnie doesn’t consider it a bribe. She invites him to Alice's for a free warm meal. Tec ignores that non-bribe too, “Why are you here to see Jan, Mimi?”
“Jan was my roommate. We weren’t best friends, but I’m worried about her.”
Tec says, “You’d save the taxpayers a whole lot of money if you’d tell the truth.”
Bonnie tells her not to say another word. She’ll call her husband. “You know who he is don’t you, Mickey Horton. [Whoa, that'll scare Tec. Get Mickey on the case and they'll convict Mimi instantly.] If you keep bothering my daughter I’ll sue for harassment.”
“I don’t take kindly to threats,” says Tec.
“I don’t’ take kindly to bullies,” snaps Bonnie.
Tec says, “We are this close to charging Mimi with attempted murder. And you’d better hope miss Spears doesn’t die or I’ll drop the word attempted.”
Jennifer worries. Patrick drives. Jennifer talks about how she used to cover drunk driver stories and not think much about it, “With all this publicity about drunk driving why does this keep happening?” Patrick comforts her.
Billie tells Mrs. Benson Chelsea will be OK. Mrs B thanks her. Mrs B asks if Billie has children.
“A daughter Chelsea’s age.”
“It’s easy to see you'd make a wonderful mother,” says Mrs B.
Lexi needs to get Chelsea to a hospital. There’s an ambulance shortage in Salem. She calls commissioner Gordon to pull strings and get another ambulance.
Billie tells Chelsea to hang in there.
Chelsea asks, “Mom, is that you...” Billie stares.
“Technically the ISA only tabled John’s plan,” says Brady. It calls for four men and they need Lucas.
This is the first Lucas has heard this. He wants a chance to think, “What’s going to happen to the people behind if you get killed?”
Victor and Caroline breathe through wet rags. Victor assures her someone will come. If they don’t at least they will roast together. That’s a big comfort to Caroline.
Bart rushes down looking for Tony. He remembers Victor and Caroline are in the castle, “Kiriakis and the old Lady. I’d better evacuate the place before they both get 86’d.” 86 is the word of the day.
Marlena, Cassie and Roman wonder what happened to Jack. Roman covers himself with a rug and runs out to see. The girls hear a crash. Roman lies under a beam that has collapsed. Cassie and Marlena huddle and call out for him.
Bonnie doesn’t care for Tec’s attitude.
Mimi wants to hear what he is talking about.
“What I am talking about is that acrylic nail. It matches nine other nails we found in your garbage can.”
“So what,” asks Bonnie, “That doesn’t mean anything. It certainly doesn’t mean Mimi was there when Jan tripped.”
The sly fox Tec asks, “What makes you think Miss Spears tripped? I’ll be in touch. Don’t leave town – either of you.”
Tec leaves. “What am I gonna do now,” asks Mimi, “Mom, Jan keeps a diary. She hates me so much you can bet I’m on every page.” Mimi flashes back to another argument with Jan. Another fight. Flashback to Mimi discovering the cage. The gun. Locking Jan in the closet.
“Mom, if Tec finds the diary, I’m finished. With the police and Rex too,” whines Mimi.
Bonnie says, “Tec won’t find the diary if we find it first. Let’s go.”
The nurse tells Jennifer Abby is in surgery. Jennifer wants to know why the hospital didn’t get her permission first. She wants answers.
Billie tells Chelsea, “It's not your Mom, it’s Billie. Your Mom is OK. She just needs to rest right now. Abby is at the hospital. You’re dad’s still in the car but the firemen are doing everything they can to get him out.”
Lexi comes up and tells Chelsea to relax. The ambulance arrives. Lexi’s call to Commissioner Gordon worked.
Billie stares into space, “Oh, damn you, Hope, if you hadn’t hung up on me when I called for help... If anybody dies it’s gonna be on your head.”
Lucas asks if they have thought about the women in their lives.
Brady says, “Nicole knows. She isn’t too happy about it but she knows I can’t let Rex and Shawn do it alone.”
“What about Belle,” Lucas asks Shawn, “The only reason you’re so gung-ho to find my brother is you want Belle.”
“OK,” says Shawn, “Do I hope things will work out between Belle and me? Yes, but I also want Phillip back.”
Lucas asks, “How will Belle deal with that if you die? Rex, have you thought about Mimi? What’s it gonna do to her if you don’t’ make it back?” She’ll be even more unhappy rotting in jail.
Bart rescues Caroline and Victor. He leads them out.
Roman lies crushed under debris. Jack comes back in and shows the women another way out. They tell him Roman went after him because he thought he was hurt. The women leave. Jack hopes he can find Roman in time. Roman lies unconscious.
Bonnie and Mimi sneak around Jan’s place in the dark looking for the diary, “Where’s the bedroom,” asks Bonnie.
“Upstairs,” says a male voice.
Tec turns on a light, “Mimi Lockhart, you’re under arrest for the attempted murder of Jan Spears.”
Rex is aware of the risks, but they all plan on coming back. Lucas says Rex and Shawn stand to lose the most because they have women in their lives. Lucas thinks it over. Rex shows him the map, “This is rugged terrain, but if we enter right here, we can do it.”
Lucas is worried about his son, but to hell with Will, he’s in. “Let’s go get my little brother and bring him home.” Group shake.
Marlena and Cassie run outside. Roman lies amidst the flames and debris. Jack wakes him up. He pries the beam off of Roman. Roman struggles to get up as the building collapses around them.
Debris falls on Bart, Caroline and Victor.
Lexi barks orders. Billie frets and prays.
Billie fidgets. Time passes.
Lexi comes up to Billie, “I’m sorry, we lost her.”
Jennifer overhears, “NO,” says Jennifer, “No. Lexi, please, not my baby!” FF on the distraught Jennifer.

Tec tells Mimi, “You wanted Jan out of the way so you could keep Rex in the dark about your lies.” Mimi says, “I hated her and I wanted her dead.”
Stami tells Nicole, “You mean about as much to me as a two-dollar whore.” Nicole slaps him upside the head.
Cassie tells Marlena, “They’re dead. Or they will be very soon.”
Billie tells Bo, “Hope wouldn’t let me talk to you. She hung up on me, so if anyone’s responsible for this tragedy, it’s her.” Hope stares.
DOOL Racer Update
During last summer’s gripping ‘search for Shawn’ series, Belle Black took out an advertisement on Casey Mears’ NASCAR racer #41 pleading for Shawn to call. Belle was certain Shawn would see the race and call since he is supposedly a big NASCAR fan.
His appearance on Daze catapulted Mears’ acting career to, uh, nowhere.
Now, in an effort to prove NASCAR appeals to anyone with Shawn’s IQ, Fox Sports is sponsoring the “NASCAR’s Sexiest Driver” contest. Unfortunately, our boy Mears was left standing at the gate in first round competition, defeated by NASCAR's baby-faced sophomore Kasey Kahne.
With his acting and modeling career now in jeopardy, Mears could only say, “I guess a shaved head isn't as sexy as I thought it was.”
I Did Call 911, You Idiot!
Nicole paces and worries. She flashes back to Nancy and Chloe in the hospital. Nancy wants Chloe to get Brady before Nicole gets her claws into him. Nicole pretty much already has her claws into him. Nicole says, “I don’t believe it. Chloe is alive and wants Brady back.”
Nicole goes into the mansion. Brady is on the phone. She asks if everything is OK. “Everything is better than OK,” says Brady, “Chloe is alive. You’re right you did see her at St. Luke’s. Her face has been terribly scarred.”
“Then,” says Nicole, “it must be hard for you to look at her.”
“It’s what’s on the inside that counts,” says Brady, “You know what this means for us. My heart wants Chloe.” Nicole cries as Brady runs upstairs. We weren't fooled, were we? Nicole snaps back to reality. She gets a call. It’s Stami asking what she is daydreaming about, or is it a nightmare. Nicole asks where he is. He tells her to turn around. Theeeeerrre’s Stami.
Stami asks, “Do you believe me now about Chloe Lane?” Nicole believes. “Now that you see she’s alive, how do you plan on stopping her?”
Brady tells the dynamic duo, “Let’s rescue Phillip and get our asses back here.” Asses travel well in pine boxes, you know. Rex shows him a map and printout of the region. There is no access by plane. Brady says this is next to impossible. Something bothers him. This used to be a peaceful region, “Whosever is holding Phillip captive, they’re under new leadership. If so who?”
Bart has ordered a chopper. Tony tells him to cool it. He won’t see his plans go up in smoke. “Literally,” says Bart. Tony doesn’t think it’s funny.
Roman and Jack try to bash in the door.
Cassie needs some fresh air. She starts to open the window. “NOOOOO,” screams Marlena. Too late. Cassie opens the window and the room blows up. The force of the explosion blows the door out and it crushes Roman and Jack.
Hope and Bo are in bed. He sure hates fighting with her. Hope likes making up. Bo decides to order Chinese. Hope wants chocolate covered fortune cookies. Bo wants another kind of dessert.
Patrick asks if Billie is OK since Bo asked her to move out. Billie was going to move out anyway. After they made love Patrick knew her heart was with Bo. Billie says, “Just like yours was with Jennifer Horton.”
Jennifer has made a cake. She’s setting up the surprise party. She sees Jack's Picture, “Can you believe our little girl is turning seventeen?” Flash back to the birth. About what, five years ago? “I may not have you, Jack, but we will always have our Abigail.”
The Benson’s car is a steaming, glass covered, wadded up piece of metal. Abby lies unconscious in a pool of blood.
Hope says Bo will get dessert when they get home. They are going to Abby’s surprise party. Bo tells Hope he will never take her for granted.
Jennifer iced the cake in about ten seconds. “Happy birthday from Mom and Dad.” Jennifer finds a bracelet. She flashes back to a scene where she was holding Jack Jr. Jack and her can’t believe Abby will be seventeen. Jack shows Jennifer a bracelet with stones from the island. Jack wants to give it to Abby for her birthday.
Jennifer can’t wait to give the bracelet to Abby, “I wish I could give her the one thing she wants most, Jack. She misses you so much.”
Patrick and Billie argue about who didn’t respond to who’s argument. Patrick says Jennifer is still grieving and not ready to move on.
Billie says, “When I thought Georgia was stillborn I thought I could hear her crying for weeks after that. Now I think I still can hear her. I wonder if it was my imagination or if I really did hear her crying back then. I don’t want to get too excited. I have this horrible feeling that something bad will happen to Georgia before I get a chance to see her. OMG, Patrick, stop the car!
SCCRREEEECCHH.
They find the wreck. Abby and Chelsea have been thrown from the car. Billie calls 911.
Nicole doesn’t know how she will keep Chloe from Brady. She asks Stami, “Why are you helping me? What’s in this for you?” Stami flashes back to an argument with Brady. Brady explains why he didn’t save Marlena when the tsunami came. Sami thinks he made a bad choice.
Stami says he just wants to see everyone get what they deserve.
Nicole can handle Brady. It’s Chloe she’s’ worried about. Stami says, “Leave that up to me. Stick close to Brady. I’ll be in touch.”
The boys plan. Nicole busts in, “No! I won’t let you do it.”
Jack comes to. One of Tony’s guards comes up to Jack and Roman and reports back to Tony.
“When I’m through with them,” says Tony, “they’ll wish they were dead.”
Jack overcomes the guard. He and Roman get up. Marlena and Cassie fry. Marlena tends to the unconscious Cassie. Roman and Jack say they are coming in.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” says Tony.
Billie is on hold with 911. She finally discovered the parents in the car. The man in the other car could be dead. She tells Patrick, “There is a riot at the basketball game. We are on a waiting list for 911”. Maybe the Pacers and Pistons are having another brawl. Billie knows who to call. Any guesses? Patrick looks at the passengers, “It’s Mrs. Benson.”
Billie calls. Hope answers. Billie asks if Bo is there. Hope says sarcastically, “Mr. Brady is unavailable right now, may I take a message?” Billie needs him. “Surprise-surprise” says Hope, “Why don’t you call 911?”
“I did call 911, you idiot!” Funny thing. Hope hangs up on her. Then Billie explains what happened into a dead phone..
Patrick takes the phone and makes a call.
Nicole can’t believe they have turned the living room into a war strategy room. Brady rushes her out to talk to her. Nicole tries to talk him out of participating in Shawn’s harebrained scheme, “Who do you think you are, GI Joe?” Brady promises he will be back. “What if you get back and the only person you want to be with is Chloe?” Oops.
Roman runs into the burning room. Jack goes for the gun and gets the drop on Tony and Bart.
Tony says, “That gun won’t stop me”.
“Oh yeah,” Jack fires. Tony goes down. Tony stares at Bart. Jack says, “You know Bart that’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time.” Bart stares. Tony does a Hollywood death scene.
The fire department comes to the scene of the wreck. Patrick told 911 the mayor’s wife was in the accident, and that’s what got them there. The rescue team does triage. Chelsea wakes up, “Where’s my Mom, is she OK?”
Billie lies, “Yeah, she’s going to be fine, honey.”
Billie goes over to Chelsea’s Mom. Mrs. Benson says, “Promise me you will take care of my baby.”
“Of course I will, says Billie, “but you gotta get better and do it yourself.”
The firemen take the Mom away.
Patrick stares. Billie frets, “I wish there was something else we could do.” Patrick calls Lexi.
Hope stews about Billie’s call, “UN-BE-LIEVABLE. Gone for five hours and you already need help. I didn’t like hanging up but drastic measures are required to keep you away form Bo.”
Jennifer calls Hope on Bo’s phone. Hope answers and says, “Billie, what part of no don’t you understand.”
Jennifer is calling about the party. She figures she hit the wrong speed-dial button and that’s why she called on Bo’s phone. Hope says Bo and she will have a quick bite and come over. Jennifer wants her to bring the cake plate. Hope asks how Jen is doing. Jennifer didn’t think she would be celebrating this birthday without Jack. She tells Hope about the bracelet she found, “Hope, I had completely forgotten about it. That bracelet was so important to Jack. What If I wouldn’t have found it?”
“The important thing is, you did,” says Hope.
Bo comes in with the food, “Anybody call while I was gone?” Hope grimaces.
“Why would you say that,” asks Brady, “Chloe is dead and gone. I know. This is about me proposing to Chloe’s ashes, right?”
Nicole says, “Chloe’s dead, Brady. She’s the love of your life. You’ve told me a million times. If you go away you’ll think about her and forget about me.”
“I know I live in the past,” says Brady, “I have to stop doing that. The memorial service was about me moving on. When I get back I intend on asking you a very important question.
Nicole says, “If you’re proposing to me, I don’t want to wait.” She takes a knee, “Brady Black, will you marry me.”
“Nicole,” he says, “I want to do it right. I proposed to Chloe’s ashes so I could move forward. I’ll always love Chloe but I want a future with you.”
“I’m so afraid of losing you.”
“It’s not gonna happen.” Hug
“You’re damn right it’s not,” thinks Nicole, “I’m gonna do everything I can to see Chloe Lane remains Dead.”
Brady comes in and tells the boys he trusts Nicole.
The trusted Nicole says, “I think your mission is dangerous and stupid.” Don't we all? “Please promise me you will think of the people you leave behind.”
Bart tells Jack he is in trouble.
“No,” says Jack, “Tony is. I think for the first time I have the upper hand.”
Tony gasps for air, “You won’t stop me.”
Jack says, “I have a gun that tells me otherwise.”
Roman takes Cassie and Marlena out of the burning room. Marlena sees the ‘dying’ Tony, “I don’t like watching a man die but, by God, I want you out of our lives.”
The ceiling falls.
Nicole wanders. “If BB goes away it will give Chloe time to recover.” She makes a call. Stami answers. “I need your help. Chloe can’t get better. She can’t get back together with Brady.”
Stami assures her, “I’ll meet you later and we’ll plan.”
Brady outlines the crackpot plan to save Phillip. They will parachute in and then go by foot. They need a fourth. He has someone in mind he hopes will help. Is his name Osama?
Hope toasts finally spending some time alone with Bo.
The birthday party is all set. The balloons spell out, “Happy 17th birthday Abby.” Oh, the torment!
Patrick says Lexi is on her way. Billie doesn’t want to call Jennifer. Patrick needs to tell her in person. Billie will meet him at the hospital. Patrick leaves. Billie tends to Chelsea. Chelsea doesn’t want to die. Billie won’t let anything happen to her. She promises.
Bart drags Tony. The ceiling collapses on them. Tony falls through a hole in the floor. Down he goes, so the Phoenix II can rise again.

Mimi says, “If Jan wakes up and tells Tec I attacked her I’m dead.” Bonnie tells her, “Which is why you have to 86 those gifts, girl, and get the hell out of Salem.”
Lucas asks, “If this plan is so freaking great, how come the ISA shot it down?”
Marlena and Cassie scream as a chandelier falls.
“I’m sorry, we lost her,” says Lexi. “NO,” says Jennifer, “Oh, Lexi, no, not my Baby.”
Will You Shack Up With Me?
Stami fixes his mustache, “There is nothing as satisfying as REVENGE.” He gets a call from Tony. Stami has to admit he hasn’t had this much fun in years.
Tony says, “The fun is just beginning. I think it’s time we caused trouble for Brady and Nicole.”
AS Tony explains the plan, Stami says, “OMG! That is pure evil. I love it!”
Nancy asks if Chloe is having second thoughts. NO, she’s having the surgery tomorrow. She knows if it doesn’t work the scars could be permanent. She has to take this chance. If she doesn’t do this now, she could lose Brady forever.
Nicole asks Brady's photograph, “Brady will you ever forget her?” She flashes back to bumping into Chloe, “She can’t be alive, but I know what I saw. I have to find out for sure.”
“Find out what,” asks Brady as he comes into the room at this opportune moment.
Rex thinks if they ask Brady for money Brady will tell his dad what they are up to.
John works out. He drops the barbell. He asks, “Kate are you all right?”
Kate observes, “The pain is getting worse. We have to find a way to get your mind to focus on something else.” Kate finds a way.
Abby looks over the cards she gave to Jack. Jennifer comes in with another box. “Why are you getting rid of all Dad’s stuff?”
“Sweetie,” says Jennifer, “you know your Dad is not coming back.”
“I know he is. I can feel it in my heart. If you really loved him, you would feel it too,” says the kid.
“OK,” says Jack, “The coast is clear.” He’s dressed like a guard. They must have taken the uniforms from the guards they knocked out in Roman and Marlena's room. By coincidence, the guards were exactly the same size as Jack and Roman. “Everybody in Salem will flip out when they see us right, Roman? Roman? Marlena? Dammit how did I lose them this time?”
Roman asks, “What the hell happened to Jack? I told him we had to find Cassie first.” Roman and Marlena hear someone crying behind one of the doors. They rush toward the door. “STOP,” yells a voice.
Jennifer says, “Abby I still love your father. I am not getting rid of his things I am donating some of his articles. He was a great reporter. He can continue to teach others even if he’s gone.”
“Daddy is not gone and I can prove it.”
It was Jack that yelled. Roman isn’t leaving without his daughter. They rush into Cassie’s room. Joy abounds. Roman isn’t leaving until they find out if there are any other prisoners there.
Brady tells Nicole she couldn’t have seen Chloe. Nicole says she never wants to lose him. The doorbell rings. He tells Nicole to chill. The dynamic duo is at the door. They need to talk. They need to think.
Nicole comes in. Shawn tells her it’s personal. Nicole says, “Oh, Goodie for you. I have to leave anyway.”
They go into the living room for the confab. Shawn tells Brady he needs an advance on his inheritance. Brady tells him things are tied up in probate. Shawn says he needs it now, not after it clears probate.
Brady says, “If you want my help I need to know what’s going on.”
Stami stops Nicole, “I’m here to help you keep Chloe Lane out of Brady’s life permanently.”
Chloe tells Nancy, “I have to have the surgery.”
Nancy tries to talk her out of it, “I think you are taking an unnecessary risk.”
Chloe says, “I don’t care I’ve made up my mind. I have to stop Nicole.”
Nicole tells Stami, “Chloe is already out of Brady’s life. She’s dead. You’re the creep on the phone. Who are you? What do you want?”
Stami says, “Let’s go for a ride.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you,” says Nicole.
“You will if you don’t want to lose Brady,” he turns and goes.
“Wait,” says Nicole as she follows him.
Shawn says, ”What I tell you cannot leave this room.” He tells Brady the details of his crackpot scheme.
Brady asks, “Have the two of you lost your minds?” Can’t lose what you never had in the first place. “Leave it up to my Dad and the ISA.”
Shawn says, “Do this for Philip and your sister.”
“My dad is handling the situation.” Says Brady. Actually, his dad is handling something else at the moment. “In fact I have to check on him right now.”
Shawn tries to convince him, “You might be ruining Phillips only chance.”
Brady tells Shawn, “Just wait here till I get back.” Brady leaves.
Rex asks, “Do you see what a mistake this was?”
Kate balks. John asks what is wrong. He asks if she is feeling guilty. “No,” she says, “I know Roman and Marlena would want us to move on. I’m worried about Phillip. I just wanted to help you with the pain.”
“You do that every time I look at you,” says John. He kisses her, “I promised I would find your son and I will. Now I have to check my computer and see if the ISA has OK'd my rescue plan.”
Kate flashes back to thinking about Shawn rescuing Phillip.
“Come on guys,” says John, “What the hell are you waiting for?”
“John,” says Kate, “I have something to tell you.”
Shawn paces. Rex says “You never should have told Brady.”
Shawn asks, “How else would we get the funds? He’ll do the right thing. He has to.”
John comforts Kate, “Come on, what is it?”
“I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I can’t tell you how much it – you mean to me,” says Kate.
“You’re helping me through a really rough time," says John, " I couldn’t do it without you.”
Brady busts in on the embracing couple, “Dad? Are you upstairs...Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.” Now, if that’s a shock to Brady, Imagine the show he would have gotten if Kate hadn’t changed her mind.
“John says Kate was helping him out with his therapy.” Brady chuckles. We all chuckle.
John gets an alarm on the computer.
Kate tells BB John has a plan. John can’t believe it, “The idiots turned it down!”
Abby shows Jennifer a rabbit’s foot, “This is proof he’s coming back. He always said if I held onto it, good things would happen.” Jennifer flashes back to the good times. Blah, blah, blah. Never stop believing in miracles. Blah.
“Abby, I wanna believe. I do. And I wish it was just that simple.”
Abby says, “There is nothing wrong with having faith. Isn’t there some part of you inside that believes he will come back?”
“Yes,” says Jennifer, “There is, because it’s true.”
Jack encourages Roman to leave NOW. Cassie pushes Roman toward the door. She pushes him into a vase, which goes crashing down. Marlena frets, “What are we going to do? We can’t get caught again.”
John says the ISA said the plan was too dangerous, “We don’ need no stinkin’ ISA, I’ll rescue Phillip myself. First thing is to call Shane Donovan and...” John reels in pain.
Kate says he needs a hot shower. He insists he doesn’t need any help. He goes himself.
“He tries so hard,” says Kate, “I don’t see how he possibly could find Phillip himself.”
Brady says, “Nobody’s giving up Kate. I’m sorry I have to go. If you need anything let me know. What I wanted to tell him can wait.”
Brady leaves. Kate says, “I can’t believe I’m saying this but Shawn Brady may be Phillip’s only hope.” God help poor Phillip.
Brady thinks, “There is no way in hell I’m letting Shawn mess this up. I know what I have to do.”
Stami says he is the best thing that could have happened to Nicole. He doesn’t’ want Brady ending up with Ghoul Girl. He hands Nicole a paper, “Here, read it and weep.”
Nicole Reads. Nicole weeps, “No! This can’t be true.”
“Yeah,” says Stami, “How would you like to meet your living nightmare?”
Nancy wants Chloe to know if she signs the consent she could be signing away Brady and her entire life, “Is that what you want?” Chloe stares.
Nicole reels, “This is just a dream.”
“It’s not a dream,” says Stami, “but you will wake up all right. Just follow those instructions exactly.”
Nicole asks, “What are we doing here?”
“Seeing is believing,” says Stami.
Nancy says the release form has one very important provision. It says Chloe accepts all risk since she is doing this against the advice of her physician. Chloe asks, “If I can’t be with Brady what difference does it make?” Chloe signs, “I’m taking this to the nurse’s desk myself... I don’t trust you.”
Nancy says, “I think you are making a big mistake.”
Jennifer says, “Your dad will always be here through you and Jack Jr. He loved you so much. So do I.”
“It’s hard to let go,” says Abby.
“I know. But you know what your dad would want – for us not to fight anymore. Do you think we could do that,” asks Jennifer.
“I promise, Mom. I’ll try harder.”
The doorbell interrupts their conversation. It’s Chelsea. Her parents are going to take them out tonight. Jennifer doesn’t know about that. Abby is grounded. The parents come up and beg. They will make sure Abby is back on time. Jennifer relents.
The girls walk away. Jennifer tells Chelsea’s parents, “Oh that was perfect. Now I can set up the surprise party for Abby’s birthday.” They leave. Jennifer twirls the rabbit’s foot, “Jack if you could just be here with us to celebrate Abby’s birthday.”
The keystone cops hide behind the door in Cassie’s room. The guard comes in and asks Cassie what happened. She says she was getting ready for bed and knocked over the vase. She will pick it up. The guard wants a goodnight kiss. Roman rushes out, “I don’t think so.” They fight. The proverbial shot rings out. Jack looks down at his stomach and turns his hand over. Blood! Blank stare.
John staggers. He grabs his cane. Kate watches, “You look so much better. How do you feel?” Better? He can hardly walk.
“I feel fine. I know how disappointed you are. If I have to, I will go over there myself and rescue Phillip. He and Shawn got their scripts mixed up.
“After losing Roman, I couldn’t take it if something happened to you.”
“OK,” says John, “It won’t because we both know what it means to lose something precious. So I will make you a proposition. Something I hope you will want just as much as I do.”
Brady tells the dynamic duo his dad is in no shape to do this, “AND the ISA turned down his plan. I just know I’m gonna regret this. I will pull funds form the Kiriakis account today. But there is a catch.”
The melee continues. Cassie puts the candle under a hanging rug. She positions it very carefully so the rug will catch on fire. They get Jack in bed. Roman has changed his mind, “We gotta get out of here now!” Jack insists he is all right.
Jennifer digs through mementoes, “When we said our vows we swore till death do us part. I never dreamed it would come so soon. Can you believe Abby is going to be seventeen years old? You’d be so proud of her Jack. We are going to be OK.”
There is a law in the town of Salem. Anybody who gets into a car must wreck it. The penalties for disobeying this law are steep. This statute has been on the books for years. In the back seat of the doomed car, Chelsea tells Abby, “As soon as we can ditch my patents...” KEEERRRAAASSHHH!
Stami gets back to his apartment, “Nicole is about to get the shock of her life, then I can use her sorry ass to get back at John and Brady.” Sami flashes back to John refusing to help her with the Lucas situation, “Screw with me and you’ll pay.” Morph.
Nancy says, “As long as you’re going through with this I pray the surgery will be successful. I want what's best for you. And that means getting Brady back to you.” Chloe doesn’t want to count her chickens before they are hatched. She goes to say goodnight to Clara.
Nicole has been hiding in the closet. After Chloe and Nancy leave, she comes out, “I don’t believe it. Chloe is alive. I have to do something to stop this.”
“The catch is I go with you,” says Brady, “I want to make sure it’s done right. You have my word I won't tell anyone. Are we a team?”
“We’re a team.” Yeah, the Bad News Bears.
John says, “When I lost Doc I thought I lost everything. But you’ve saved my life and given me hope. I want you in my life. If you feel the same way, I would like you to consider moving in with me permanently.” Kate Roberts, love of my life du jour, will you shack up with me? “You don’t have to answer right now. Think it over.”
“No,” says Kate, “I don’t’ have to think it over. The answer is yes.” Hug.
They stop Jack’s bleeding. The rug burns. The crew limps out. Cassie goes back for her bracelet. If she’s that dumb, let her roast. The rug falls and blocks the door. Marlena rushes in. The door slams. Roman can’t get in. Marlena and Cassie burn. FF on the fricasseed Marlena.

Patrick tells Billie, “After we made love I knew exactly where your heart was – in Bo Brady’s room.” Billie says, “Just like yours was with Jennifer Horton.”
Brady assures Nicole, “I will get back.” Nicole whines, “And what if you get back and the only person you want to be with is Chloe?”
In the smoke-filled room, Tony tells Jack, “That gun is not going to stop me.” Jack says, “This I gotta see.” BANG!
The room burns. Another rug falls. The quartet fries.
Curses, Foiled Again
We open with a scene of the idyllic old-world castle nestled in the mountains of Europe..
Marlena and Pard listen as the scratching in the wall continues. Roman is going to try to help. He opens a box. Marlena says, “OMG, you’re a genius. I hope this works.”
Jennifer moves boxes full of junk. She pulls out an Indian headdress. She flashes back to Jack doing a pow-wow dance. Jennifer tells Jack he can’t be in the pageant. She pops back to the lame excuse for reality we call Salem, “Oh Jack. I’ll never stop missing you.” Doorbell. It’s Hope. She’s hysterical, “I’m gonna kill Bo and Billie.”
Billie wishes Hope would have given them a chance to explain, “Your marriage means everything to you. If you guys broke up because of me I’d feel guilty forever.” Or a couple of days, anyway.
Rex and Shawn hack. Rex says, “There is a major problem.”
John works on his problem as Kate gets the doorbell.
John won’t let some hacker get the best of him, “You’re going down, punk. Prepare to crash.” Belle comes in with bad news.
Bonnie scoots her cart. Small talk with the nurse. She sees Mimi in Jan’s room and runs in, “Get out of here before that piece of trash wakes up and fingers you. Cops aren’t that stupid you know.” Salem cops excluded, of course. Mimi tells her she is going to confess. “I couldn’t live if my baby girl was in jail.”
Belle tells Kate and John about Jan. The number one suspect on John’s list is Shawn.
Rex says he’s rigged John’s computer.
John sees a virus protection message on his screen, ignores it, and talks to Belle.
Rex hacks while John talks.
Bonnie tells Mimi never to tell the cops the truth, “They will twist it for their own purposes.” Mimi insists she is guilty. She wants to do the right thing. Bonnie says, “The right thing is whatever is right for Y-O-U. If Jan dies you’ve done the world a favor. Did you deliberately try to do this?”
“No.”
“Then it was an accident.” Mimi flashes back to the fight with Jan. Bonnie continues, “She was the attacker, not you.”
Mimi whines, “Everyone knows I hated her and the truth is I really wanted her dead.”
Hope tells Jennifer about walking in on Billie and Bo, “It was supposedly accidental, but Billie was in Bo’s lap. If he doesn’t get a clue soon our marriage is over.” There goes the marriage. “I’ve had it. I think that’s what really scares me. We have always been so much in synch with each other. I’m beginning to think that special bond between us might be broken.”
“We’re not breaking up,” says Bo, “If I could just find her and explain what happened...” He tries her cell phone. Turned off. Bo leaves a message. He calls Jennifer’s. Jen answers. Hope signals to say she isn’t there. Jen tells Bo she hasn’t seen Hope. Bo says, “Tell her I’ll do whatever it takes to fix this.” Jennifer promises she will tell her.
Jennifer tells Hope Bo will do whatever he has to in order to fix things. Hope says, “It’s me or his ex. He can’t have us both.”
Roman has crude digging tools, a bent fork, a broken bowl, this is genius? They start spooning out the walls. Time passes. Roman pulls out a section of wall. They dig. Marlena peers in, “Oh my gosh! it’s Jack!”
Jennifer and Hope have a barrel of ice cream. Jennifer doesn’t think Hope is being paranoid. She feels for Billie, “but why does she keep doing this to us? Billie has an addictive personality and now she’s living in my house with my husband. The longer she stays there the worse it will get. Bo is the problem too. He’s afraid to hurt her so he hurts me instead. Why does he keep making that same choice? I don’t know what else to do. I wish I could say she goes or I go, but I’ll wind up being the bad guy. Bo needs to figure it out for himself. She still loves him and wants him. When is this going to stop?” Hope stops to breathe. Jennifer consoles her.
Bo never meant to hurt Hope, “Billie, this is my marriage. I don’t want to lose it or my wife. I wanna be clear here. Hope is the greatest love of my life. Sometimes you have to prove it. I hate to do this, but you gotta move out.” Billie sheds a tear.
Bonnie can’t think of anyone who’s ever liked Jan. Mimi says she has wished she was dead more than once. Bonnie thinks Jan got exactly what she deserved. Mimi didn’t have big dreams. She just wanted a husband who loved her, a house and to be able to pay her bills, but Jan was going to take it all away from her, “I wanted her dead and I will feel guilty for all the days of my life.” Jan stares wide-eyed at them. Mimi freaks, “See she’s waking up and will say I tried to kill her.”
John asks what Jan did to Shawn. Belle doesn’t want to go into it right now. “The police thought whoever tried to attack her was a woman.”
“Yeah,” says John, “But the police thought the Salem stalker was a woman.”
Belle is shocked, “Are you comparing Shawn to Tony DiMera.” Well, in that case it would be Tony Dumb-era.
“The kid’s a hothead,” snaps John. “You never know what he will do. He’s always in trouble.
Rex. Hack.
Kate watches as Belle and John talk. She sneaks over to the computer. Stare.
Roman and Marlena dig. Jack digs from the other side. He thought he was digging to the outer wall. Roman wants to help Jack, but he wants to get Cassie, too. The tunnel caves in. Jack is a pancake.
Hope asks what the boxes are for. Jennifer is trying to make room for Jack Junior’s things. She’s getting rid of some of Jack’s things. Hope is sorry she was so insensitive. Hope decides to draw a line in the sand, “It’s either me or Billie.” I thought she said she couldn’t do that because it would make her the bad guy. Sigh. Jennifer likes the idea. Hope leaves.
John says it’s just a matter of time before Shawn gets in trouble again.
Kate watches the computer, “That could happen very soon,” she thinks.
John tells Belle he thinks the plan will work this time. Kate thinks, “Maybe Rex and Shawn are better with a computer than we thought. Looks to me like Shawn might just have everything he needs.”
John squints at Kate, “Something wrong?”
The nurse attends Jan. Still comatose. Opening her eyes was just a reflex. Bonnie asks when Jan will wake up. “Hard to tell maybe never.” The nurse leaves.
Bonnie is ecstatic. Mimi brings her back to earth. She tells her there was a witness, “Some guy watching from the bushes.”
“A perv,” asks Bonnie. Mimi says Jan doesn’t have to wake up for her to go to jail. The abortion was the worst thing she ever did. Now’s she’s paying for it.
Jack somehow survived the cave in. He squeezes into Roman and Marlena’s room. He chokes, “Jennifer has been left alone too long making her prey to Lockhart and guys like him. I gotta get back there ASAP.” He has something to pick the locks on their chains. Roman can’t leave without Cassie. Jack removes their leg-irons. Jack says they don’t’ have time to get to Cassie. Marlena agrees.
Jennifer goes through stuff, “He saved all his father’s day cards from Abby.” She finds a file of magazine articles, “You changed so many people’s lives with your articles Jack. I’d never have become a reporter without you. You still inspire me so much. You’re not gone are you?”
Bo tells Billie to find some other place to stay. “Actually,” says Billie, “I’ve already packed. After Hope stormed out last time I made arrangements to stay a Sami’s old apartment. Mickey has petitioned the judge to let Lucas vouch for me. So it’s all taken care of. You’re worries are over. Be happy with Hope.” They hug and, as usual, Heeeeerree’s Hope.
Hope says, “Billie, either you’ve got two left feet when it comes to timing or you’re after my husband.” Group stare.
Bo tries to ‘splain. It was nothing. Hope spits fire, “You had your arms around her again and it’s nothing?”
“She’s thanking me, saying goodbye. She’s leaving.”
Billie comes down with her bags, “I hope you two can work out your problems.” She leaves.
“So,” says Bo, “am I forgiven?” Hope stares.
John looks at the computer. All the intelligence has been downloaded. Everything seems fine to John. He doesn’t understand why the ISA hasn’t gotten back with the plan. If Shawn were involved he’d probably get them both killed. John mumbles nasty things about Shawn.
“Excellent work,” says Tony Dumbera, “We are going to get Phillip out of that hellhole.”
Roman plans. They scoot things in front of the hole in the wall. Roman throws a bunch of stuff which makes a big racket. The guards yell, “OK, we’re coming in.” As the first guard enters, Jack slugs him with a big rock from the wall. See, the key word, Jack was WE’RE coming in. The second guard gets the drop on Jack. Curses, foiled again.
Jennifer wanders. Jennifer reminisces. Jennifer stares at Jack’s picture. “You’re with me Jack. I can feel you through Abby and Jack Junior. If you can fit it in, can you keep an eye on Bo and Hope too?” She hugs his picture. She stares.
Hope says, “Bo, yes, of course I forgive you.”
“Good,” he gets sappy, “Because I am the luckiest man in the world you married me.”
Hope whines, “I thought Billie was going to take you away forever.”
“It would never happen,” says Bo.
Outside, Billie thinks, “That door is finally shut for good. Bo’s out of my life now.” We all believe this, of course.
Bo and Hope kiss.
“You are not confessing nothing to nobody,” says the articulate Bonnie.
“They go easier on you if you admit it, Mom.”
Bonnie says, “They aren’t going to make you write 'I will not kill again' 100 times on the blackboard if they convict you, Mimi. Jan could die and you could be cleared.”
Mimi reasons, “The witness and fake nail would be enough to convict me on Law and Order.”
John tells Belle, “I’ll bring your husband home and make sure Shawn doesn’t get involved.”
Belle is relieved, “You’re saving the two men I care about the most.” Belle leaves.
“Shawn may already be on his way to help Phillip. All I want now is to get my son back home,” thinks Kate.
“We need money says Shawn. We’ve got to see Brady.”
Rex asks, “Why would he give you money? He hates you for hurting his sister.”
Shawn the philosopher says, “I may not know computers, but I know people.” The dynamic duo leaves.
The guards have the drop on them. Marlena says, “I think I’m going to faint.” This distracts the guards. Pard and Jack overwhelm them. “We’re going home,” says Marlena.

Nicole asks Stami, “Who are you? What do you want?” Stami says, “I’m here to help you keep Chloe Lane out of Brady’s life – permanently.”
Shawn tells Brady, “You cannot tell your father about this, OK? You may be ruining Phillip’s only chance.” Brady says, “Just wait until I get back, OK?”
Shirtless John stares into his computer, “What the hell are you waiting for.” Kate says, “John, I have something to tell you.”
“What are we going to do,” asks Marlena, “We can’t get caught again.”
Firewalls On Top Of Firewalls
The magnificent castle. Marlena watches Roman sleep. She flashes back to their lovemaking. Oh, the guilt. Roman wakes and stares at her.
John is on the computer. Kate brings coffee and flashes back to you-know-what. No guilt here, through. Breakfast for John. Kate says, “About last night...”
“We’re going to find Phillip,” says John, “It’s a guarantee. Thank you for everything, Kate. How did I get so lucky?”
Rex is in on the deal. He shakes hands with Shawn. The girls come back from the hospital. Shawn is glad he has an alibi. If the cops knew about this summer he would be a suspect. Belle, too. “I guess we all could be suspects, couldn’t we,” asks Shawn.
Brady says, “With this ring, I thee wed. We will be together all the days of our lives until we are reunited in heaven.” Nicole bolts.
Nancy tells Brady, “That was a wonderful sentiment. If Chloe were alive, what would you do?”
Nicole and Chloe bump into each other in the hallway. “It can’t be,” says Nicole, “You’re dead.”
“Why would you ask me that,” asks Brady.
“Just answer me,” says Nancy, “Humor me.”
Brady relents, “OK, if she were still alive, of course I would want to be with her. She was the love of my life, but she’s dead and I need to move on.”
Nancy asks, “With Nicole?”
“Nicole has been wonderful to me.”
“She’s a liar, manipulator and a whore,” says Nancy.
“She’s changed,” says Brady. She used to be a liar, manipulator and a whore, but that was yesterday.
“People like Nicole don’t’ change,” says Nancy, “Beautiful women can have ugly souls. Plain women can be beautiful beneath the surface.”
“Chloe had both kinds of beauty,” says Brady.
“Yes she did, says Nancy, “Which kind meant more to you?”
Brady says, “I loved all of her. Nicole is a beautiful person underneath, too. I don’t owe you an explanation. Nicole has been a godsend. She has always been there for me.”
“Brady, you can’t commit to her,” says Nancy, “You will be betraying Chloe.”
Nicole has fainted after seeing Chloe. Chloe wonders, “Was it the shock of seeing me alive or my hideous face?” Nicole comes to. She sees Chloe and goes under again.
Roman asks how long Marlena has been awake. A while. She didn’t wake him because he had a long night. He must have been exhausted. Roman reminisces about last night. It meant a lot to him. It meant a lot to her, too, but it can’t happen again.
Kate was on the phone with Basic Black while John was down here playing computer games. He thinks she’s amazing. Keeping Basic Black going and caring for him as well. John found something on the computer. He goes to show her. He squints at the screen, “Kate, Roman and Marlena are alive. Look at this!”
It turns out to be a tape John shot a long time ago. Another low-down, filthy writer’s trick. They’re celebrating Marlena being named Physician of the year. John stops the playback.
Shawn ‘splains, “When someone is attacked as brutally as Jan was the cops will suspect anyone who didn’t like her.” Mimi makes a snide remark about Jan. Rex says Jan didn’t’ deserve this. Mimi asks what if it was an accident or self-defense. Rex says in that case the person who did it would come forward. Belle doesn’t want to talk about Jan any more. She has info about Phillip.
Brady tells Nancy he will never get over losing Chloe, but these ‘what if’ questions will drive Nancy crazy. He has accepted Chloe is gone and Nancy must do that too. They hug, “I hope today brings us the closure we need.” He offers her a ride, she declines. They leave.
In the hallway a nun is attending to Nicole. “I saw Chloe,” says Nicole. She points. Brady ruses out.
Brady sees a hooded figure, “Chloe wait!” The figure turns around. Brady reels. You're not being sucked in by this, are you?
John had the video on the computer so he could edit it, then forgot about it. They watch more of the party. Marlena blows out the candles. Marlena wishes they could all be friends forever and be as happy as they are today.
John turns off the tape, “God we were happy back then.”
Kate says, “I don’t know if we’ll ever be that happy again. How could we with Roman and Marlena gone?”
Roman can see the guilt, “Please don’t feel guilty. I am married to Kate and under normal circumstances I would feel guilty as hell, but this is not normal.”
Marlena says, “We crossed a line. We are in dangerous territory.”
“If we hadn’t had each other,” says Roman, “I’m not sure we could have survived this.”
Belle says John has come up with a new way to rescue Phillip. It will be a smaller operation. Shawn wants to hack in. Belle doesn’t think that’s a good idea. Rex dives in. Mimi and Belle go to get a soda.
Rex hacks. Hack Rex hack. See Rex hack.
Brady, of course, apologizes. He thought the figure was someone else. Chloe watches from the bushes.
Nicole is feeling better. Brady comes in. He says it wasn’t Chloe. “Yes it was,” says Nicole, “and she was scarred. She looked like she did in the closet.” Brady isn’t buying it. Nancy has to go. She thanks them for coming – both of them.
Outside Nancy calls for Chloe. “Why didn’t you show yourself to Brady? Did you see the ring?” Chloe says she saw it. “How could you let him put it in this urn? It should be on your finger.” She should be wearing it. She urned it. Groan.
Nicole tells Brady, “Don’t look at me like I’ve lost it. Is it possible for the dead to come back to life?” Happens every day in Salem.
Roman says they didn’t do anything wrong. Marlena disagrees. Marlena doesn’t know how they will explain this to John and Kate, “It’s different with them. They think both of us are dead. They didn’t break their marriage vows. Not knowingly, anyway.”
Roman says, “It’s been hell on both of us. I’m not going to apologize. I don’t’ see a damn thing wrong with us comforting each other. I needed you and you needed me.”
“We needed each other in the moment. But I don’t know how we will explain it.”
Roman gives her a look that says are you nuts, “We won’t.”
Marlena asks, “Are you saying you want me to lie? Are you planning to lie to Kate?”
Like a couple of cheap rugs.
“Your heart still belongs to Marlena, doesn’t it,” asks Kate.
John says, “And your heart still belongs to Roman, doesn’t it?”
“That doesn’t mean we can’t have a future together. They were a big part of our lives. And that’s not going to change, is it?”
Rex hacks, “John’s good. He’s got firewalls on top of firewalls. I’ll get in, but it will take time.”
Mimi and Belle talk. Mimi asks if Belle thinks the cops will find out that was her nail. If the police find out Jan knew about Mimi’s abortion, they will look at Mimi as a suspect.
Roman isn’t asking her to lie. When they get back, “Our loved ones won’t be asking what we did in the castle. And they won’t be eager to tell us what they did. We put this nightmare behind us and move on with our lives.”
Marlena asks, “And you think we can do that?”
Roman hesitates, “Do you hear that?” Scraping.
John says he deals in facts. Hmmm... like the fact he’s a tripped out junkie? No. Like the fact Roman and Marlena are gone and they have to find Phillip. He has a new strategy to find Phillip. It’s a smaller operation. Kate asks if Shawn is going to try something.
“He’d be a damn fool if he tried.” Well, I guess that means he’ll try something for sure.
Kate says, “That doesn’t answer my question. He doesn’t care about Phillip, he just wants Belle back.”
Nicole asks, “Can the dead come back to life?”
“No,” says Brady.
“Then how do you explain me seeing Chloe? I saw her. When I came to, she was leaning over me,” Nicole flashes back to seeing Chloe.
Brady says, “Nicole, it’s your mind playing tricks on you and it’s my fault. I saw your face when I put my ring in the urn.”
Nicole says, “Yes, you’re right. That hurt.”
“I don’t mean to hurt you,” says Brady, “It’s just that Chloe and I have a very deep connection. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be a future for us.”
“Are you sure about that,” asks Nicole.
Nancy washes the ring off. She wants to make sure Brady has it when it’s time to put it on Chloe’s finger. There is nothing more Chloe wants that to marry Brady. And she knows how to make that happen. The doc comes in. Chloe tells him she wants the radical surgery. He wants to go over the details, there are serious risks involved, “There is risk of infection, and, once we start, there is no turning back. Are you sure you want to proceed?”
Chloe stares through her hideously scarred and deformed face.
Brady tells Nicole he is glad she was there today. Now she can see he is ready to put Chloe behind him.
“Yeah, until you meet up and marry her in heaven. I’ll take my chances about what happens in heaven, but I’m more concerned about the here and now.” Heaven is a longshot for Nicole, anyway.
Brady might be able to make that commitment soon.
Dr. Weiss explains the surgery. The risks are considerable. Chloe wants to proceed. Nancy advises caution. No, Chloe wants to start as soon as possible.
Roman moves to the wall, “Doc, come here. Somebody’s digging. Listen. It’s getting louder and closer. I think this could be it. I think we are finally gonna get out of here.” Oh, Joy.
Mimi says only her mom, Belle and the creepy guy knew about the blackmail, “You don’t think I did this do you?”
Belle says she doesn’t believe Mimi did it, but Mimi is so worried about Rex finding about the abortion, it’s warping her judgment, “Jan is gonna want the police to find the real attacker. So she will have to tell them the truth. Besides, you have an alibi so you don’t have anything to worry about.”
Rex hacks. Click, click, click. Shawn asks how much time they have. Rex says, “It depends. If John Black is not online, we’re OK. If he is, he could notice there has been a break-in, and we’re toast.”
John tells Kate his plan is foolproof. Which means they don’t have to worry about Shawn getting in the way. John checks the computer to see if he has something from the ISA. “What the hell,” he says, “Something’s going on.” FF on the hack-off.

Mimi says, “No, Mom I’m going to confess.” Bonnie says, “I couldn’t live if my baby girl was in jail.”
Marlena and Roman pull the wall out revealing a tunnel, “Oh my gosh,” yells Marlena.
John says, “The kid’s a hothead. You never know what he’s gonna do.”
Belle asks, “Are you comparing Shawn to Tony DiMera?”
Shawn tells Rex, “Excellent work. We are going to get Phillip out of that hell hole.”
“Bo has to make a choice – me or his ex. He can’t have us both,” says Hope.

Rex tells Shawn before they go, they need a plan and money to finance their wild and crazy scheme. Shawn tells him they will get the money from Brady Black.
Chloe realizes the voice audio isn’t working. She starts singing. You’re the wind blowing through me...” Brady realizes this isn’t a recording, so does Nancy. Nancy thanks God for this little miracle. Brady asks Nancy about the voice. Nancy says, “Chloe is here. She’s alive. She’s with us.”
Hope comes down to the banished Bo asleep on the couch. She flashes back to the argument. She runs into the kitchen and kicks up a pot and pan symphony. Bo stumbles in to see what’s going on.
“Oh,” says Hope, “You’re awake.”
“I am now,” mumbles Bo.
He staggers, “Look, Fancy Face, it’s a new day. Can we have a new beginning?”
“It’s up to you,” says Hope
Billie walks into the living room and hears the argument. She smirks.
Jennifer gets coffee. Patrick comes in sporting scratches on his back. Jennifer notices, “What happened to your back?”
Tec thinks Mimi would be the person most likely to know who hurt Miss Spears. Mimi flashes back to the fight. Jan dies yet again.
Belle asks why Tec thinks Mimi would know anything.
“Well,” says Tec, “I understand they were roommates of sorts.” Tec pulls out the fingernail. “Hey,” mumbles Belle through the foot in her mouth, “That looks like your fingernail, Mimi.”
Chloe sings. Brady questions. Nancy says, “Brady, she’s alive. That voice is Chloe’s. She’s here with us.”
“Chloe is here is spirit. Nothing more,” says Brady.
“No,” says Nancy, “She’s here.”
Chloe wanders. Chloe sings. Apparently she doesn’t need a microphone. Nicole comes out into the hall. She fiddles with the stereo. “Oh, I see what’s wrong, the voice and balance are mixed up,” says the audiophile.
Brady insists Chloe is dead. He's here to say goodbye to the one true love of his life. Chloe haunts in the background.
Nancy wants to know where Nicole fits in if that is true.
Bo tells Hope he’s moved on. Hope asks, “Then why do you have so much of a problem with Billie moving on?”
Bo insists it’s Lockhart, “He could be the one person standing between me and my daughter.”
Hope says Billie needs to start building her own life. Hope wants to call Mickey and work something out with the Judge Shay so Billie can stay somewhere else. Hope is going for a run. Bo is on his own for breakfast. Naw, I'll bet he has company.
Billie comes in. Bumbling Bo drops the eggs. They stare into each other’s eyes as they pick them up.
Patrick says he didn’t realize he scratched his back. He flashes back to making love with Billie, “I must have scratched it working out. I was doing squats against the garage wall.” He asks about Abby. He tells Jennifer the girls were at Alice’s last night.
Jennifer is going to kill Abby. She thanks him for bringing her home. Patrick says Bonnie brought her back. Jennifer says Abby would never defy Jack, “What if she doesn’t grow out of this, I need Jack. This is so overwhelming sometimes.”
Patrick tells her, “you’re not alone, I’m here.”
Hope comes in. Patrick leaves. Hope soaks in the scratches on his back.
“OMG,” says Hope, “Did you see his back?”
“Yes,” says Jennifer, “He hurt it working out. It must have been a pretty hard work out.”
“Yeah,” says Hope, “So hard he and Billie broke the bed in our guest room.”
Shawn thinks Brady would finance the mission. He’s loaded. Rex tries to bring in a bit of reality, “This won’t work. It’s probably illegal.” Shawn won’t relent. The creeps are expecting military professionals, not a couple of bumbling amateurs. That’s why he knows they can pull this off. They will overwhelm them with incompetence.
Rex tells him, “Shawn we will never make it out of there without some serious equipment.” Better pick up a couple of body bags with that equipment.
Shawn snaps, “If you don’t want to help me, fine. Just give me the info I need. No one is going to stop me.”
Rex asks, “Not even Belle?”
Mimi says she took her fake nails off. She doesn’t wear those any more.
Candy-Striper Bonnie overhears, “So that little bitch Jan finally got what she deserved. That should make your day, Mimi.” Mimi scowls.
Bo and Billie stare. Billie breaks the tension. She will make breakfast. She cleans up. She says she should have known better than to bring Patrick back here.
Bo says Patrick sets off the alarms in him, “For all we know he could be the one keeping us from our daughter.”
Patrick is talking on the cell phone while he jogs, “I need to know when to expect delivery. Hello... Hello?”
Jennifer is shocked. She didn’t see this coming. Hope accuses her of being jealous. Jennifer denies it, “It’s just strange...”
“...Strange to share him with another woman,” asks Hope.
Chloe haunts in the background as Brady goes on about her. Nicole comes in and says the sound system is messed up, “Maybe we should donate one to the church in Chloe’s memory.”
The mystery is solved. The memorial begins.
Nancy says, “We are gathered here today to say goodbye to Chloe, a beautiful young woman whose outer beauty was a pale reflection of her inner beauty.” Chloe watches. Nancy drones on, “I can think of many reasons why we shouldn’t be here today, but I want to honor my daughter’s wishes.”
Nancy asks if Brady wants to say anything. He does, “Chloe you taught me what love is. If I live to be 100 I’ll never find that love again. You are truly my soul mate. Like my mom, you will always be with me. And no one will replace you in my heart. That is why today I want to do something really special for you.” He pulls out a ring. Nicole blanches. Brady asks the ashes, “Chloe Lane will you marry me?”
“Belle can’t know about this,” says Shawn. Rex insists they can’t keep it from her. Even if Shawn’s dad doesn’t do something, John will. Rex just can’t get involved with Shawn’s scheme.
“That’s a horrible thing to say, Mother,” says Mimi.
“It’s true,” says Bonnie, “It would be justifiable homicide if you attacked Jan.”
Mimi is livid, “That is horrible.”
Tec tells Mimi to stay put. He leaves.
Bonnie and Mimi chat. Mimi wants to know what Bonnie is doing in that get-up. Bonnie tells Mimi she volunteered to be a Candy-Striper to impress Mickey. Mimi broods. Bonnie notices Mimi really isn’t with it, “Earth to Mimi, Jan finally got what she had coming to her.”
Mimi whines, “Jan is lying there in a coma. Who knows what she will remember if she wakes up.”
The light bulb comes on in Bonnie’s head, “OMG, you’re the one who tried to kill Jan!” Bonnie should be on the police force. Maybe not. She figured it out too quick.
Brady always intended to give this ring to Chloe. It belonged to his mom. He was going to give it to Chloe on their wedding day, “I’ll just have to wait until I get to heaven to place it on her finger.” He starts to put the ring into the urn.
Nancy practically throws the urn across the room in order to stop him, “No you cant!”
Bo tells Billie she’s gotten to know the Lockhart Patrick wants her to know.
Billie defends Patrick, “I think Hope is right. This is really about you not being comfortable seeing me with another man. Any other man.”
Jennifer says it would be weird if Patrick wasn’t around because he’s seeing another woman, “It’s nice to have him around.” Jennifer admits she really likes him.
Hope wishes she could say Jack will come home to her, but he’s gone.
Jennifer knows that, but she hates it. Hope admits she was rooting for Patrick and Billie to get together because that would make Billie unavailable for Bo, but if Jennifer wants him, go for it. Hope has to go. She jogs out. Jennifer talks to Jack’s picture., “Jack, I love you so much and always will and as overwhelming as it seems I might have to move on. You have to show me as sign, Jack, to show me that you would understand.”
Shawn throws his bags together. He’s off for the big rescue. Rex wants to talk about it. Shawn has to do this. Belle is in agony. Aren’t we all? And, of course, lest we forget, SAY IT WITH ME, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, Belle can't be with Shawn until Phillip comes back. Shawn tells Rex, “You would do the same thing for Mimi.”
Rex says, “I would. Thank God Mimi would never get herself in a situation like that.” Yeahright. By the way, since Mimi has already “killed her baby,” if Jan dies, I wonder if Mimi qualifies as a serial killer. I mean, she could replace Marlena as the SSK du jour.
Mimi is busted. She comes clean with Bonnie.
Tec, however can’t figure it out. He asks if Bonnie, Belle or Mimi were near the crime scene. Bonnie and Belle say they were there. Mimi stammers. Bonnie says, “You were in the back room with me.” The nurse calls Tec. The admitting doctor is there now. Tec leaves. Belle goes in to see Jan.
Mimi tells Bonnie she is going to tell Tec the truth. Bonnie won’t have it, “Jan fell and hit her head. End of story.” Bonnie wishes Mimi would have come to her. Bonnie’s former boyfriend would have picked up the body. Jan wasn’t dead, but she would have been by the time the boyfriend go hold of her. Bonnie tells Mimi not to say anything. She leaves and gives Mimi jellybeans.
Belle comes up to Mimi “Why did you lie to Tec? You had those nails on last night. Is that nail they found yours?” Mimi stares and chews her jellybean.
Bo says he cares bout Billie and doesn’t want to see her get involved with someone who will break her heart. Billie says she isn’t interested in getting involved with anyone right now.
Bo tells her what Shawn is up to. Billie is shocked. Bo has to stay here and watch Shawn. If Billie gets another clue about Georgia, she’ll have to go alone. Billie slips on egg residue. She falls into Bo’s lap, landing in a position straight out of the Kama Sutra. OK, it’s pop-quiz time. Who do you suppose walks in the door at this awkward moment? “Let me guess,” says Hope, “another accident?” She storms out.
Patrick runs. His cell phone rings, “When can I expect delivery? I can’t stall that long. I need it to happen now.”
Jennifer looks at a picture of her and Patrick, “Could Hope be right? Is there anything between us? No those scratches said it all.”
Mimi tells Belle the nail was hers. She didn’t want to lie, “but Tec will just keep asking questions if I tell him the truth.” Belle says she has to tell Tec and also tell him Jan was blackmailing her. “I’ll lose my fiancée forever,” says Mimi.
Shawn sys Rex knows why he has to rescue Phillip. I could use your help man. They shake. “I’m in,” says the dupe.
Nancy says she has to help Brady put the ring inside the urn, “The urn is an antique and is very fragile.”
Brady says, “With this ring I thee wed. You will be with me all the Days Of Our Lives, Until we are reunited in heaven.” Nicole can’t take any more. She runs out. Nancy says that was beautiful. Especially the part where Nicole ran out.
Nicole runs down the corridor. Chloe comes down the other corridor. The corridors cross. Nicole and Chloe run into each other. Nicole. Chloe. FF.

Shawn says, “Let’s face it, we all had major issues with Jan. I guess we could all be suspects, couldn’t we?”
Nicole asks Brady, “Is it possible for the dead to come back to life?”

John sits at his computer. He says to Kate, “Roman and Marlena are alive. Look at this.”

Would they ever stop saying Belle can’t be with Shawn until Phillip gets back?
Happy Trails To You
The docs check out Jan as we flash back to her fight with Mimi. Lexi says her pupils are fixed. We’re faxing the report to Tec. No need, Tec walks in. The patient’s dying, but Tec is more interested in Lexi. They talk about Abe. He puts a tender hand on her shoulder, “If there is anything I can do...” Back to the patient. Lexi says, “The question is IF she comes out of this.” Lexi wants to know if there are leads on the attacker.
Mimi looks at the scratches on her arm. She puts on a jacket and flashes back to the fight, “I never meant to hurt you Jan. It was an accident. Who’s going to believe that? I’m not hanging around to find out.” Belle comes in and sees Mimi packing. She asks where Mimi is going.
Shawn tries to convince Rex to help him rescue Phillip. “Two guys with flexibility and mobility should be enough.” Not to mention a combined IQ in single digits. Rex says he just can’t do it.
In Chloe’s dream Brady yells for the receding figure to stop. He’s sorry, he thought she was... “Wait, I do know you. I loved you once. Chloe, you’re alive.” Nicole comes up to him and asks, “How could you still love her. Look at her face.” Chloe covers her face and runs. Then she wakes up in the hospital.
Nancy is there, planning the latest memorial. “What happened to the strong, fearless Chloe I used to know? I think your psyche was damaged more than your face. This is your last chance to come clean with Brady.”
Brady is at the church, “I always knew this day would come. It doesn’t make it any easier. Nancy said she was bringing your ashes for burial and I knew I would have to say good-bye. Now that moment is here. How am I supposed to say goodbye to the only woman I really loved.” Nicole, of course, walks up behind him.
Chloe looks over her shiny new urn, “Why are you doing this to me,” she asks.
“Chloe,” says Nancy, “you have put me in an impossible situation. If you don’t like it, do something about it. I’m sorry you are scarred, but you have to start living in the present.”
“Just let me handle this my own [stupid] way,” says Chloe.
“OK,” says Nancy, “but don’t’ say I didn’t’ warn you. You will lose Brady forever.”
Nicole says, “Damn that Nancy. She’s trying to poison Brady against me.” Nicole doesn’t want Brady to have to go through this alone. She’s there to help him. Brady doesn’t think Nancy will be comfortable with her being there. But he wants her to stay. He leaves to talk to the priest. Nicole waits. She blows out Chloe’s candle, “Lights out for you Chloe. Finally I’m going to get everything I deserve.”
Tec assumes Jan was attacked by a woman. The witnesses said so, and he also has the fake fingernail. He wants to take DNA samples from underneath Jan's fingernails. Lexi thinks they should question people who knew Jan.
Mimi says she’s just putting away winter clothes. She heard somewhere that packing them in suitcases helps control moths. Belle sees the TV, “OMG!” Mimi turns up the volume.
Shawn wants to know how Rex can turn his back on Phillip. Belle calls from the other room. It’s the news story about Jan. Jan is near death. Mimi frets.
Nicole asks the nun if she knows when the memorial service is scheduled to start. The sister says there is no memorial service there today. She’ll check in case something was scheduled at the last minute. Nicole ponders, “Now why would Nancy tell Brady there was a memorial service unless it was something she came up with on the spot when she saw us together?”
Nancy takes dirt from a dead plant and puts it into the urn. Chloe wants her to call off the memorial service. Nancy says Chloe is the only one who can do that. Nancy leaves. “I have to stop her before she makes things worse,” thinks Chloe.
Lexi tells Tec Jan doesn’t have any friends, but she thinks someone Jan knew could have done this. She also suggests Tec talk to Mimi.
The group watches the news. They show Stan being interviewed. He hopes the attacker gets the death penalty. The group wonders what kind of monster would do that. Mimi starts to pass the coffee around. She spills it on Shawn. This shocks Shawn into flashbacks. He remembers Jan spilling coffee on him and revealing her identity to him. He remembers the cage. He remembers rattling his cage. He remembers escaping. He remembers the motorcycle. He remembers the wreck. “I remember what happened to me. When you spilled the coffee on me I remembered. Jan kidnapped me and held me prisoner.”
Chloe asks Nancy not to do this. Nancy asks, “What else do I tell Brady if I don’t tell him you’re alive? If you were this stubborn about living life instead of hiding it, think how things would be.” Chloe says she isn’t changing her mind.
Nancy leaves and Chloe thinks, “Now I have to stay and watch this. Imagine attending your own memorial service. Nancy, you made a bad situation worse.”
Nicole tells Brady there is no service planned. Brady says there was a mix-up with scheduling at the church.
Nancy comes in and says she doesn’t want Nicole there. Brady talks Nancy into letting Nicole stay. Nancy says father Janssen has a conflict. Father Antonio is out of town. Nancy needs closure, so they need to proceed on their own. Nicole agrees. This would be Chloe’s third memorial. “Third time’s a charm,” says Nicole.
Nancy gives Brady the “remains.” She goes to put on some music - she brought a CD of Chloe singing. Nicole asks if Brady is OK. Brady says, “The most incredible thing just happened. I feel like Chloe is right here.” Imagine that.
Nancy goes out into the hall. Chloe is there. So Nancy gives Chloe the CD to play. “Once Brady knows you are at rest, he will put his love for you to rest. At least Nicole is willing to fight for the man she loves, which is more than I can say for you. So say goodbye to Brady.” Chloe plays the CD as Nancy goes back in.
Brady says to the urn, “God I’ve missed you. If only you knew how much. I would give anything to hold you again. Hear your voice. See your face. It hurts like hell to know I’ll never be able to do that. This is as close as I’ll ever be to this petunia dirt again. People say they feel closer to God here. I sure feel closer to you. He kisses the jar. But this is not you. Your beauty and goodness are with the angels. I hope to see you there one day. Until then...”
Happy Trails To You...
Nicole tells him what he is feeling is Chloe’s spirit, “She’s letting you go so you can be free to live your life again. I’ll always be here for you.” Nancy watches the mourners.
Lexi tells Tec Mimi and Jan have a history. High school. Internet. Nude photos of Chloe. Tec thanks her for the info. As she leaves she tells him how good it was to see him. Platonic hug. She leaves. Tec sighs.
Shawn tells them about the cage. Mimi says she knew. She saw the cage. She tried to tell them, but when she got them out to Jan’s house the cage was gone. He tells them about Jan dressing up as an old woman.
“OMG,” says Belle, “If Jan hadn’t kidnapped you, Phillip and I wouldn’t be married and I would still be with you.”
“Then,” says Shawn, “I had my motorcycle accident.” The first in a series. “Then the brain surgery. This was all Jan’s fault.” More flashbacks, “And I never proposed to her. She made it all up.”
Belle says, “Jan did all of this. She’s lost her parents, you and has no friends. Now she’s probably lost her future.”
Mimi doesn’t want Belle defending Jan. Belle says no one deserves to be brutally mugged like this, “I’m going to the hospital to see her. Mimi do you want to come with me?”
Mimi is not too keen on going to the hospital to visit Jan. Rex thinks Mimi should go. Mimi agrees. Shawn hugs Belle and tells her he loves her. The girls leave. Rex tells Shawn Belle is unbelievable to be worried about Jan. “That is why I love her,” says Shawn, “She cares about people she doesn’t like. That is why I need to find Phillip and bring him home.” She marries people she doesn’t love.
As they get in the elevator, Belle tells Mimi, “Lets hope they find who did this and put her away for a long, long time.”
Chloe sulks. Brady and Nicole Mourn. Nancy prays Chloe will see the light. Back to the brooding Chloe.
The music has been playing forever with no voice kicking in. They notice Chloe isn’t singing. Chloe figures that out too. She starts to sing a sappy little song.
Brady says, “That’s not a recording...”
Rex tells Shawn they don’t have the money, power or know how to go there. Shawn says they need to think outside the box. That, of course, would involve thinking. Shawn has a bright idea, “Pack your bags, we’re going to find Phillip.” Rex rolls his eyes.
In the hospital, Tec asks someone on the phone, “How long before we have the DNA results?” The nurse tells the girls visiting hours are over. Mimi looks in on Jan. “MIMI LOCKHART,” booms Tec, “what can you tell me about what happened to Miss Spears?” FF on the worried Mimi.

Nancy asks Brady, “If Chloe is the one true love of your life, where does Nicole fit in?”
“Nothing is going to stop me from rescuing Phillip,” says Shawn. “Not even Belle,” asks Rex.

Jennifer says, “It just seems really strange...” Hope interrupts, “...Strange that you might have to share him with another woman.”

Mind If I Get Dressed First?
Note: The DOOL feed was incomplete this morning. This is what fed until the transmission stopped:
Jan and Mimi fight. Jan falls and hits her head. Mimi freaks. She checks out Jan. Cold and dead, “OMG! OMG! OMG! Jan, please wake up.”
Stami thinks this is perfect. He calls the cops to report a murder.
Kate doesn’t give a damn what Shawn does. Belle won’t let him put his life in danger. Kate sucker punches Belle. John wants to know what Kate is doing. She can pack her bags and get out. Belle says it’s her fault.
Rex tells Shawn he’ll wind up dead if he goes over there to rescue Phillip. He won’t help him get himself killed.
Billie and Patrick go at it as Bo and Hope come in. Hope says she hates coming home to an empty house. They decide to be quiet so they don’t wake Billie. Hearing the racket, Hope decides Billie might just be awake. Bo runs upstairs and barges in just as the bed collapses. Hope invites Patrick to spend the night. Bo isn’t happy. Lockhart is the last person Billie should be with.
“Get outta here Lockhart, snarls Bo.
“Mind if I get dressed first?”
Hope defends them, “They aren’t teen-agers.” Hope is just happy there is someone in bed with Billie besides Bo.
Patrick tells Billie this was a mistake.
“Damn right,” says Bo, “a big one.” He thinks Patrick is dangerous and working for the DiMeras.
Billie tells Bo she knows what she is doing, “I trust Patrick.”
“You’re in bed with the enemy,” says Bo, “How did you do this Lockhart? Get her drunk again?”
Mimi frets over Jan’s body. She hears the sirens in the background. She scoots into the bushes as the cops arrive. The cops yell, “FREEZE” as they point their guns into the bushes. Don’t want those bushes moving.
John wants to know what in the hell Kate is doing hitting Belle. Belle defends Kate. She says she should have been more sensitive. Belle apologizes to Kate. “No,” says Kate, “I’m the one who should apologize. You’re Phillip’s wife. We should not be having words.”
John wants to know what they were arguing about.
“Shawn,” confesses Belle.
“Ah, what’s the hothead up to now,” asks John.
Belle tells him Shawn wants to go rescue Phillip and they argued about him risking his life.
John asks, “Dammit. Belle, when are you gonna admit how wrong Shawn Brady is for you?”
Shawn asks Rex to stop being a nerd and help him. Rex thinks Shawn would just get in the way if he went to rescue Phillip. Rex decides to put a lock on his computer programs so Shawn can’t get to them.
Stami comes out of the bushes with his hands up. He tells the cops he saw two women fighting, but can’t identify them. The crack cops can’t find Mimi in the bushes, but one of them finds an acrylic nail. Stami is relieved. This gets him off the hook. Mimi contemplates her missing nail, “What will I do if they arrest me? If only I could get out of here... but if I move they will catch me.”
Another cop brings a witness. He saw something. He’ll give a statement, “but I’m getting old and my eyesight isn’t too good.”
They get Jan breathing again. A cop tells Stami not to go anywhere. They will need his statement. The cops go into the bar to check out women missing fake fingernails.
And the rest of the story...
After the cops leave to search the restaurant for missing fake fingernails, Stami went over to Mimi to tell her he saw everything. S/he accused Meems of murdering Jan. Mimi swore it was an accident. She said she'd go in and tell the cops she didn't do it. Stami suggested she go ahead and and then listed all the reasons they'd throw her in jail in a second. Stami pointed out that it was all Meem's fault. If Mimi had told Belle way last summer about Jan holding Shawn hostage, Belle would have never married Phillip and he would have never volunteered for the dangerous mission just to get back to her. "And you say you're not a killer?" Mimi pouted that she WASN'T. Stami, "You've told so many lies you can't keep them straight anymore." S/he pointed out that if Mimi went to the cops they would see she was missing a fingernail and arrest her on the spot. If Jan dies, Meems is facing murder one - death row.
Squints ragged on about Shawn to Belle. "He doesn't use his head. Going over there by himself is completely brainless. What's he think he's going to do? Drive his motorcycle into their bunker?" Belle swore Shawn said he wouldn't. John, "And what's his word worth nowadays? " John & Kate kept pointing out that Shawn breaks his word every other day. Belle KNOWS Shawn won't go back on his word to her. Can we all say, "Delusional?" John would like to think that Shawn will keep his word, but in his experience Bo Brady's kid takes after him - in all the worst ways. (Therefore the shorthand name for Shawn, "Jr".) "He's stubborn, hot-headed, and because of all that there's no telling what he will do." Kate's afraid. John's skeptical. Belle's certain. We go round and round. John has another plan to save Phil. He'll go over there himself if he has to. Despite the agonizing pain, he has a strong will (and a magic bag-o-pills). He'll save the day. Hugs and kisses all round. Belle leaves. John goes for the handy hypo in his pocket. "Don't do that," barks Kate. Like we really believe she sees the hypo.
Jr's rationale is that the enemy expects professionals, so as an amateur he can get in, get under the radar and save UB. Rex says, "You're dumb if you think you're going to a foreign country, not speaking the language, and think you're going to get away with it." That's why Jr. needs Rex's help. Shawn claimed he wasn't doing it for himself, he was doing it for Belle and Phillip. Rex says, "So Belle can break his heart as soon as he comes home? Nice." Jr. claimed Rex was twisting the situation. "I don't think so!", then Rex hit the nail on the head, "You're just feeling guilty because you want UB's wife so you want to go save him and make yourself look like a hero." Jr, Mai Non!
Billie defended Patrick. He hadn't spiked her drink. She was just relaxed and loosened up for a change, it was fabulous. Bo just kept it coming. Billie says, "I don't need you looking after me. I asked Patrick to come back with me cause I wanted him to." She pointed out the lipstick on Bo's collar and said that it looked like he and Hope had been having a little fun of their own. Why couldn't she? "That's none of your business.", Snarly snarled. Hope jumped in, "That's Billie’s point exactly, take your own advice and mind your own business."
Hope stormed out. Bo went after her and they had it out some more in their bedroom. Hope was mortified at the way Bo acted. They got into the usual argument about Patrick. "What are you trying to do?" Bo sneered. "Trying to figure out why you are so darned upset", shot back Hope. Then back to Billie and the fact that Bo's overreaction proved he wasn't over her. Back to arguing about Patrick, then about Billie. Hope said she thought Billie had the right to be with someone available, "which you're not in case you've forgotten." Bo carps that he hasn't forgotten. How could he with Hope threatening to leave him all the time. Bo said Hope wouldn't be happy until he didn't have anything to do with Billie. Hope said, "It's the WAY you deal with her. You disappear with her without a call to me? You let yourself be run by the DiMera's plot? Billie's not the problem - it's you. What I witnessed tonight made it oh so clear to me. She could have been with any man in any bed and you would have been just as upset. We need to deal with that." Snarly sneered and shook his head in the infuriating way that just makes you want to take a 2x4 upside his head.
When they were alone, Patrick grilled Billie why she REALLY wanted him to come back with her. While Billie was ranting on about how tacky it was that Bo burst in on her like he was her father and she was some teenager with a guy in her room. Patrick helpfully pointed out it was more like Bo had walked in on his wife with another guy. Billie mulled this over a bit and it occurred to her that Bo did it because he didn't want her to be happy with anyone else. Patrick asked the big question - did you bring me back to make Bo jealous?
Stami continued to goad Mimi about going to the BIG HOUSE. Once she's convicted she'll spend all THE DAYS OF HER short, pitiful LIFE on DEATH ROW. Where she'll be all alone. Not even her mother can come in to console her. Drawing on her own experience, Stami explains every step of the execution process. "How do you know so much about that anyway? The only person I ever knew who went through that was Sami Brady and she got rescued at the last minute?", asked the ever astute Meems. Stami gulped and we have flashbacks of Sami going through the execution ordeal. "Who are you?", Mimi insisted. Stami told her she should be more worried about what will happen when Jan wakes up in the ambulance. It will be the end for Meems. If Jan doesn't wake up, the charges will just go higher. Mimi eventually runs off. Stami scratches another enemy off her hit list and decides the next person to squirm is ------ Kate.
Yeah, Kate doesn't want John to feel bad, but she has something to tell him...Kate is yammering and Squints' hand keeps trying to creep toward his pocket where the hypo is. Kate goes on and on about how she feels guilty about almost telling him to go ahead and take the pills, just to save UB. John just wants to get to his next fix.
Rex tried to point out to Jr that just having intelligence isn't going to do anyone any good unless they have the money and the personnel to act on it. Nope, Shawn can do it by himself. Jr pulled the, "he's your brother, you owe him" card. Shawn has finally convinced Rex to help him. Rex will only help if they work together and if Shawn doesn't go off on his own if Rex thinks it's too dangerous. Rambo can't promise anything until they get the intel they need. Rex heads back to the computer.
Billie assures Patrick she only wanted to be with him, but then she flashes back to when Patrick morphed into Bo at Alice’s. Patrick isn't sorry he came with her, but he isn't buying her denials completely.
Hope said that if Bo will hire someone else to help look for Georgia she'll believe he's over Billie. Of course, he won't. Hope throws him a pillow and tosses him out of the bedroom. Billie sees Bo slinking along the corridor as Patrick is leaving. She closes the door and semi-smiles. FF on Snarly snarling.

Bo says, “This boat is so much like the fancy face.” Hope can’t believe they are trespassing. “She’s certainly sea worthy,” says Bo, “So is the boat.” Hope points out he also has memories of living on the Fancy Face with Billie. She said the magic B-word. And things were going so well, too.

“I can help,” says Stan. He introduces himself, “Stan's the name and REVENGE is the game. Once we are partners in crime we can make all our dreams come true.”
Jan says, “I’m not partners in crime with anyone. You don’t know anything about me.”
Sami reels off a litany of what she knows about Jan. S/he says she’s so hung up on Shawn she drugged him. He knows about last summer. He thinks Shawn is starting to remember too, “What if I just helped him along. I also know all about Mimi Lockhart and your threats.” Jan wants to know how he knows all that. “I have my ways.”
“You’re the guy Mimi thought I sent to threaten her, but I don’t even know you,” says Jan.
Stan asks, “Do you want to play on my team and win or play against me and lose?”
Mimi has wanted to tell Rex for so long. But how does she do it? She’ll probably lose him. She was going to tell him tonight, but then he carved their initials on the rooftop door. She just can’t do it.
Shawn tells Rex he’s not still thinking of rescuing Phillip, but he would do anything to get Belle.

John says, “I felt the same way but then you came along and saved my life.”
Kate can’t stop thinking about Phillip and the hell he is going through, “Do you think it’s too much to ask that Belle forget about Shawn?”
John says, “When Phillip comes back Belle will see all her prayers have been answered. If Shawn keeps up his reckless ways, she’ll give him up forever.”
Rex doesn’t think there is anything Shawn can do to rescue Phillip. Belle comes up and tells Shawn she is leaving.
Rex asks Mimi if Shawn is acting weird tonight. No not really. He’s weird all the time. How would she know?
Bonnie tells the girls to stay put while she goes to take care of something.
They watch Billie drink her Mickey Finn. She sees the girls watching. Patrick goes to talk to them.
He wants to know what they are going there. He’s going to take them home. Bonnie runs up and tells Patrick to go have a good time. She will take them home.
Bonnie leaves and Chelsea spikes another drink, “Billie won’t even know what hit her.”
Bo just doesn’t like Billie hanging out with Lockhart. Hope thinks Bo wouldn’t approve of any man she was with.
Shawn tells Belle not to worry. They will find Phillip and bring him home.

Bonnie says goodbye to Mimi.
Mimi sees Stan and Jan together outside. Rex leaves. Mimi says, “Those two are going to get what’s coming to them – tonight.”
Belle returns to John’s place. Belle thanks John for trying to rescue Phillip. He wants to know how Belle knows that. She tells him about Rex’ hacking. Kate wants to know who else was watching. Belle tells her.
Kate is upset, “Now that your husband is out of the picture you’re spending all your free time with Shawn aren’t you?”
Rex goes to take a shower. Shawn plays with the computer. Rex comes out and asks what he is doing.
Bo says all he cares about as far as Billie is concerned is finding his daughter. Lockhart is no good. Shawn is his son and has gotten in a lot of trouble lately but they talked tonight and Shawn will settle down, “He’s smart enough not to go try to find Phillip.” HA! He's not smart enough to find his butt with both hands. Hope thinks Bo has a need to be Billie’s’ personal bodyguard. Bo says, “Again, Georgia is my daughter and I want to find her. We know Lockhart was on the DiMera payroll. He is the enemy. If Billie gets involved with him there will be more trouble.”
YEE-HAAAA! Patrick and Billie ride the bull. Chelsea can’t take this. When Billie gets drunk and out of control, Chelsea will make an anonymous call to the cops. Billie and Patrick get off the bull. Billie comes over and takes a drink. Patrick asks Bonnie what she is serving. Bonnie swears it’s cranberry juice. Bonnie thinks Billie is just loosening up because she is with Patrick. Billie comes over and drags him onto the dance floor.

John is peeved Rex hacked in to watch the operation. “If the intelligence gets into the wrong hands...”
Belle defends Rex. Ouch. John has to call the ISA and tell them to beef up their computer security. So possibly they should have thought of that on their own, ya think?
Belle tells Kate Shawn was even thinking of rescuing Phillip himself. Kate likes that idea.
Shawn says he was checking scores.
Quick thinking Rex sees through it, “You’re still trying to go rescue Phillip on your own.”
Billie wants to go someplace where they can dance without their clothes. Patrick asks if she is trying to be subtle. They kiss and leave.
Chelsea can’t believe this is happening. Abby tells her, “It’s happening, all right, thanks to you.”
Bo says Billie’s love life is none of their business. Hope asks if that means he wouldn’t interfere if she got involved with Patrick. Bo says, “She can settle down with anyone, just not Lockhart.”
Billie tells Patrick Bo and Hope are asleep upstairs. She asks about his feelings for Jennifer. He says he doesn’t have any. He asks about her feelings for Bo. She knows she doesn’t have a future with Bo. All she wants to do is concentrate on Patrick, “and Kiss you and not stop.” He accepts the invitation. They go upstairs.
Abby says Billie and Patrick went home together because Chelsea spiked Billie’s drink.
Mimi tells Jan she won’t stop her future with Rex. Jan has gone too far. Jan says, “Either keep Shawn away from Belle or lose Rex.” Mimi is sick of her manipulating. Jan pushes her. Mimi pushes back. CATFIGHT!
Rex asks if Shawn is out of his mind, trying to rescue Phillip on his own. It would be suicide. Shawn stares.
Kate wants Shawn to try to rescue Phillip. She would make a deal with the devil to get her son home. Belle thinks Shawn would get himself killed. She wouldn’t let him do that.
Billie attacks. Patrick counter-attacks. Downstairs, Bo and Hope come home. Bo thinks they should keep quiet so they don’t wake Billie. They hear the ruckus. Bo heads up to referee.
Stan watches Mimi and Jan fight, “I hope they kill each other and I have a ringside seat.”
Bo busts in on the happy couple, “Nice.”
Shawn the genius says, “I love Belle and I have to find a way to get us back together. I have to risk this. I can’t live without her.”
Belle wants Phillip back but won’t let Shawn put his life in danger.
Kats says, “You selfish little Bitch.” BITCHSLAP! John asks, “Kate what are you doing.” Bitchslapping your cheatin’ little daughter.
Jan chokes Mimi. Illegal hold - clean break. Jan lunges for Mimi. She falls and hits her head on a rock. “Ouch,” says Stan.
Mimi turns around and sees Jan cold and dead on the ground. She tries to wake her up. She turns her over. OMG. BLOOD.
“How perfect is this,” thinks Stan, “I’ve got you now, Mimi.” Fade to Sami.

John asks Belle, “When are you gonna admit how wrong Shawn Brady is for you?”
Shawn tells Rex, “Put yourself in his shoes. Would you want us to give up just because it’s too dangerous?”
Stami tells Mimi, “You’re looking at Murder-one, death row.”
Hope tells Bo, “You’re over-reaction tonight is all about the fact that you’re still not over Billie.”
Patrick asks Billie, “Did you bring me back here because you’re really interested in me, or was it to make Bo jealous?”
Not That Kind Of Girl
Billie and Patrick get some fresh air at the scene of the Spring Dance. Chelsea still can’t believe that slut is messing with her man. She says, “It’s a good thing I was here,” referring to when she stopped them from kissing by messing up the sound system. Patrick hears Abby and Chelsea making a commotion.
Mimi tells Rex she was surprised by the engagement dinner he put together for her. It was a wonderful evening. He hopes she feels better about their future. Something is wrong though. She flashes aback to Stan telling her she has sinned against God. Mimi tells him it’s hard to be happy about anything right now with Phillip being held captive. Plus, she is creeped out by that guy who has been harassing her. Rex tries to reassure her.
Belle wants Shawn to promise he will not go try to rescue Phillip. Hope jumps into it. Bo defends Shawn. Shawn says he and Rex are just trying to get information off the Internet.
Abby tells Chelsea if Patrick sees them she will be grounded for life. A cat makes some racket and Billie tells Patrick to cool it, “It was just a little kitty.” Billie and Patrick will be going to the Spring Dance together. Billie confesses she never went to a dance in high school. She dropped out. She got her GED, though. Patrick tells her they could not pay him to relive the high school experience. He tells her he’s looking more forward to the part after the dance. Checking out the view at lookout point. She protests, “I am not that kind of girl.” They walk off.
Abby tells Chelsea, “They’re totally hooking up. I don’t care who Patrick is with as long as it’s not my mom.” The girls follow.
Hope forbids Shawn to get involved in Phillip’s rescue. Bo says if Shawn can work with Rex and get info off the Internet, that would be OK. Belle chimes in. She can’t stand losing Shawn as well as Phillip. Shawn says he won’t get involved. Rex and Mimi come in.
Mimi tells Belle she is sorry the mission to rescue Phillip failed. She tells her about their little dinner up on the roof. Hope is excited that Rex and Mimi are engaged. This is a big deal to her, “It’s the most important commitment you will ever make.”
Belle agrees. The engagement is a big deal, “We should do something to celebrate.”
Mimi tries to downplay things, “With everything else going on...”
They all decide to throw Rex and Mimi a party. Mimi doesn’t want to celebrate with Phillip captive. Rex talks her into it.
Shawn thanks Bo for the talk. He plans on taking his advice. They hug. Bo says, “And no more talk about trying to rescue Phillip, OK?” Shawn promises he won’t do anything crazy. Of course the thing to keep in mind is Shawn’s standards are different from normal people.
Billie is avoiding going back to Bo and Hope’s place. The last thing she wants is another confrontation with Hope. She doesn’t want Patrick to think that’s the only reason she’s hanging out with him, though. She suggests going to Alice’s. They just happen to be right there, so they go in. Chelsea wants to follow them inside. Abby protests, they are under age. Chelsea tells her, “Get with the program.”
Bonnie greets the lovely couple as they come inside. Billie goes to the powder room. Bonnie asks, “What the hell are you doing with an ISA agent? She finds out what you’ve been up to you could do the next twenty years in the slammer.” Heck, Chelsea can do that to him without Billie’s help.
Rex can’t believe John’s plan failed. Belle just wants them to find Phillip and bring him home. Rex gets back on the website looking for news. “No new information,” he says. He logs off. The transparent Shawn wants to know why Rex can’t just stay logged on. Rex says he breached a firewall. If he stays on too long they could track him. He’s going over to see Bonnie. Mimi is going with him. They invite Belle and Shawn. Belle isn’t sure, but Shawn assures her Phillip will be OK.
Chelsea and Abby enter the bar.
Patrick tells Bonnie Billie knows all about his past. Bonnie thinks Patrick is up to something. He tells her not to freak out. He’s not interested in Jennifer. She hopes he’s not interested in Billie. Bonnie wants him to go for a Horton, “What does Billie have to offer?” Then Bonnie remembers Kate is Billie’s mother, “Oh, OK if you can’t snag a Horton, Billie will do. I’m 100% behind it.”
Billie comes up and asks, “Did I hear someone mention my name?”
Hope and Bo walk through the scene of the dance. They make a date to go. She tells him she appreciates him talking to Shawn, “It’s like we have the old Shawn back,” the one with his entire brain. Hope is happy for Mimi and Rex. Bo thinks she Mimi turned her life around. “Just like Billie,” says Hope, “Of course Billie couldn’t have done it without you.”
Bo asks why Hope brought up Billie, “Do you want to get into another fight tonight?”
No, Hope doesn’t want to fight. She’s sorry she brought Billie up. They walk on. “What the heck is that,” asks Bo, “I don’t believe it, come on.”
Bonnie says she was talking about Billie’s missing daughter. It’s the worst thing that could happen.
Mimi, Rex, Belle and Shawn come in. “Oh no,” says Abby, “This is not good.”
Bo and Hope are inside a boat. Hope doesn’t think they should be there. “She is for sale,” says Bo, “This is just like the Fancy Face. It’s like taking a step back in time.” Flash back to the Fancy Face, and Bo and Hope sailing her off into the sunset.
Hope remembers, “and that’s just what we did.” Sailin’ scenes. Kissin’ scenes.
“Those were simpler times back then,” says Bo.
Hope says, “Yeah, they sure were. Why don’t we buy this boat? I miss the Fancy Face. I would love to have that life back again.”
The group wonders what Patrick is doing with Billie Reed.
Bonnie greets them. Abby thinks that was too close. She wants to get out of there.
The ever-sensitive Bonnie says she was sorry to hear the mission to rescue Phillip failed, “Now they will probably never find him.”
Rex asks for his paycheck. Bonnie wants to throw an engagement party at Alice’s for Mimi. She points out, “Phillip’s not dead. At least not yet.”
“Mo-THER,” says Mimi.
Belle and Shawn go up to Billie’s table. Shawn wants to know why she’s there with Patrick. He doesn’t rally care, “As long as you stay the hell away from my father.”
Bo tells Hope he had the same thought. Reality sinks in. They have to put Zack through college. “It was just a thought,” says Hope.
Bo says, “We don’t need no stinking boat to remind us how much we love each other. The fact Billie and I have a child together isn’t something I can run away from, but nothing is more important than you and the boys.”
Hope knows that. He kisses her in case she needs a little more convincing.
Mimi insists she doesn’t want a party. Abby and Chelsea soak it all in. Abby says Shawn is hot and so is Rex. Chelsea isn’t interested. Chelsea notices Billie just ordered cranberry juice. Abby tells her what happened at the Cheatin' Heart, “If Billie does that again she could lose her job and go to jail.”
“Really...” says Chelsea.
Billie tells Shawn all she wants to do is find Georgia. “With my father,” says Shawn.
“You’re one to talk,” says Billie, “Belle is married to Phillip.”
“That’s none of your damn business.” Shawn goes to grab a table.
Billie tells Belle Phillip doesn’t deserve this. Belle knows. She walks off.
Rex asks if Shawn is OK. “Yeah, I just had a little run in with Billie.” Taking a sudden interest in the technical side of things, Shawn asks Rex how he broke into the website.
“Actually,” says Rex, “it was easy.”
Belle and Mimi talk. Mimi is positive Jan told someone else about the abortion. She tells Belle about Stan. Belle thinks it’s sick.
Chelsea is surprised Billie, “doesn’t just do him right there on the table.”
Billie tells Patrick they came there to relax and have fun. He asks her to dance. “That does it,” says Chelsea, “I have to put an end to this.”
Bo and Hope kiss. He starts to take his Jacket off. Hope thinks this isn’t a good place. Bo thinks this is the perfect place.
Billie and Patrick slow dance. Filler.
Abby asks how Chelsea will put an end to this. “Just watch.” She spikes Billie’s drink.
Bonnie comes up to the pair and asks, “What the heck are you two doing?”
Shawn pumps Rex about the website. He’s happy for Rex and Mimi.
Mimi has been petrified the evil guy would tell Rex. Belle says “You’ve gotta tell him.” Mimi insists she has tried but she doesn’t want to lose him, just like Belle can’t tell Phillip about her and Shawn. Right now Belle just wants to have Phillip come home, “I just thank God Shawn gave up that crazy idea to go over there and rescue Phillip himself.”
With what's left of his brain, Shawn thinks, “And now that I’ve got what I need I can find Phillip and bring him home. And Belle and I can finally be together.” FF on the genius.

Hope tells Bo, “I don’t think you want Patrick any closer to Billie for one simple reason – you’re jealous.”
Billie tells Patrick, “All I want to do is kiss you and not stop.”
Jan tells Mimi, “Don’t you dare do anything to me,” as she pushes her to the floor.
Shawn tells Rex, “I will save Phillip because I cannot live without Belle.”
Kate tells Belle, “You selfish little Bitch,” and slaps her. John asks, “Kate, what are you doing?”
I've Got You Babe
Mimi frets. She has found a note on the door. The note says, “Meet me on the roof. It’s time what you got what’s coming to you.”
“When I walk through this door,” says Mimi, “my whole life could be over.”
Stan is down at the dock, “Come on John, where are you? I’m going to make your life a living hell.” He ducks as a couple comes down. The bride is blindfolded. They kiss. He has brought her back to the place where they first met.
Stan flashes back to a tender moment with Lucas. In bed. The proposal. Stan cries. The couple leaves. Sobbing, Stan says, “Lucas and I almost made it. Then he turned on me just like everyone else in my rotten life. Now every single one of them will wish they had never crossed Sami Brady.”
John looks for the “little punk.” He’s gonna find him and find out who he’s working for. John spies Stami, “Well, this is my lucky day.”
Chloe vows to let Brady know she is alive - in her own time. She has to stop Nancy. Nancy’s phone rings. She looks at it and sees it’s Chloe, “I’m sorry. This has gone on too long.”
The doorbell rings at the Kiriakis mansion. Brady answers in Nicole’s robe. Nancy is sorry to disturb. Nicole comes running up behind Brady yelling something about the pizza, “Ooooo, you’re not the pizza delivery guy.” I guess it would have been OK to give the pizza guy a thrill, but she should have dressed for Nancy.
Chloe is peeved. Nancy isn’t answering. She talks to Brady’s photo, “What am I gonna do? If Nancy says I’m alive you will want to see me. There has to be some way to stop her. OMG why didn’t I think of it?” She makes a call.
“Dr. Wesley,” says the voice.
“Daddy,” says Chloe, “I need your help.”
Brady invites Nancy in. She tells Brady he’d better sit down. She gets a call. It’s Craig. She answers. Brady goes to get dressed. Craig tells Nancy he’s not going to stand for what she is up to. In the background, Nicole wonders what’s going on.
Mimi says she can’t keep her secret much longer. Mimi’s conscience pays her a visit. Her conscience tells her she should never have kept the secret. She needs to tell Rex now, “What’s he going to do, kill you?”
Fade to Rex playing with his scary-looking jackknife.
John makes notes on Stami into his recorder, ““There’s something about him. I know him from some place.”
Stami’s phone rings, “Better show up soon John or the boss man won’t be happy. He has big plans for you.”
“Better tell me what they are pal,” interrupts John.
Nancy continues to protest on the phone. Brady pulls Nicole out of the way. Nicole thinks it’s rude Nancy showed up.
Nancy says, “Craig, I haven’t done anything.” He tells her they have been over this. Chloe will do this in her way. Nancy says they can’t wait. He has to go. He asks her to think about it.
Chloe decides she needs to get over to the Kiriakis mansion. Fortunately, she's in a hospital that just lets patients come and go in the middle of the night, so she heads off to intercept Nancy.
Nicole doesn’t think Nancy should be there. Brady reminds her if Chloe hadn’t died, Nancy would be his mother in law, “The way she acts, says Nicole, you’d think her daughter is still alive.”
Mimi thinks maybe her conscience is right. Maybe Rex actually might understand. In she goes to face the music. Rex flips on the lights. He has prepared a romantic dinner. He cuts a cord with his ugly jackknife and confetti rains down. He wants to prove how much he loves her. Mimi is impressed. He has prepared all this along with “their very best bottle of plumb wine.” They each, of course, have something to say.
John wants to know who Stami is working for. Stami says s/he doesn’t know. Stami says it isn’t just that he is being paid to do this, though. He also has his own reasons for doing this. Community service. John is going to assist Stami right to Statesville, “I am ISA and you are under arrest.”
Chloe lurks outside at the K-mansion, “Brady, you are so close.” She flashes back to wonderful moments with Brady. She peers in and sees Nancy, “OMG she’s here. She’s done it. Nancy, how could you?”
Brady tells Nicole she shouldn’t be threatened by Chloe’s memory. Brady’s phone rings. He has to take it – Tokyo office. Brady goes upstairs. Nicole sneaks in to the room where Nancy is. Nancy sees her and says, “Oh, so you put something on. How nice. What can I do for you Nicole?”
“You can tell me why you came here tonight. I understand you’re still grieving. Let her rest in peace. Chloe is a part of Brady’s past.”
Nancy says, “And I suppose you think you are part of his future. But I don’t. You are nothing to him but a warm body.”
“Is that so,” says Nicole.
“You will find out soon enough,” says Nancy.
Nicole reminds Nancy Chloe is dead, “she is just ashes in a jar.”
Nancy blurts out, “She is not dead. She is alive!”
Brady walks in, “What the hell are you talking about Chloe is still alive.”
Chloe stares.
The dinner party continues. Rex grabs his guitar. He breaks into a rendition of I’ve Got You Babe. Where are sonny and Cher when you need them?
Mimi cries. It kind of brought tears to my eyes, too, if you catch my drift. “It was wonderful,” she says, “but I don’t’ deserve it.”
“You deserve all my love and so much more,” says Rex, “I want to spend all the Days Of Our Lives making you happy.”
Mimi thinks, “Oh, God, how can I tell him?”
Stami says John won’t arrest him. He’d give the authorities his client list. John would be on it. He couldn’t pass a drug test. He’d be removed from active duty, “You couldn’t afford that. Everyone’s counting on John black Super Agent to bring Phillip home.”
John lunges for Stami. Stami brandishes a syringe, “You destroyed my life, now I will destroy yours.”
“I don’t even know you,” says John. Stami stabs at John with the syringe. John stops him.
Mimi and Rex hug, “This just makes it a lot harder to tell you,” says Mimi. Rex tells her there is just one more thing. He pulls the knife again. He thinks their initials should be carved into the door, like everyone else’s. He carves. Mimi frets. There it is, “R & M.”
“I think I am the luckiest girl in the world to have found a man like you. “ Rex tells her how lucky he is too. Mimi interrupts him, “Stop, I have to tell you something.”
Rex won’t let her, “Tonight is about us and our engagement. I am not letting anything spoil that.” He kisses her. The chaise lounge comes in handy.
As they struggle, John says, “My God, you’re not even a man.” Giirrllyy Man Stami subdues John. He jams the needle in, “I’m more of a man than you’ll ever be. Enjoy your fix.”
Stami runs off and makes a call, “Mission accomplished.”
John finishes the job – down goes the plunger on the syringe.
Nancy of course backpedals. Brady senses something on the patio, “It smells like Chloe’s perfume. But it can’t be, right? Impossible.” They decide it’s just the jasmine in the night air, “So what about Chloe,” he asks Nancy.
She says, “It’s kind of personal Brady.”
This was Brady’s cue to kick Nicole out. Brady asks Nicole to leave, “Nancy are you OK?”
“I’m fine. Just seeing you and Nicole together was hard to take. I reacted badly. I realized Nicole has replaced Chloe in your life. I said she was alive, because she will always be alive in my heart.” Yeah, the old “alive in my heart” trick.
Brady asks why she stopped by. She has planned Chloe’s memorial. She wanted to know if he can be there.
“Nancy what are you doing,” thinks Chloe as she eavesdrops.
“She loved you so much says Nancy.” They hug.
Chloe pines, “Brady still doesn’t know I’m alive. But he will and we will be together.”
Brady says he wouldn’t miss the memorial service. Nancy will phone him with the details.
“Is it me, or is there something really strange going on here,” Nicole asks herself. She gets a call. Stami tells her it’s a friend. Nicole threatens to call the police.
“Don’t do that unless you want to lose Brady forever,” says Stami.
Nicole says, “The only person who could come between Brady and me is dead.”
Stami tells her, “If you know what’s good for you, you won’t tell anyone I called.” Stami hangs up.
Nancy leaves. Outside, she calls Chloe. Chloe runs up and asks, “Another memorial service?”
“I had to think of something,” says Nancy, “I want to keep you in Brady‘s mind. If he falls for Nicole you’ll never get him back.”
Brady asks if Nicole is OK. He goes to check on the pizza.
Nicole stares at the phone, “I’m not getting a good feeling about his.”
Stami calls Chloe, “I’m a friend who wants to welcome you back to Salem.”
Chloe asks, “Do I know you?”
“No, but you will.” Stami hangs up, “Oh, yeah, this can’t miss. Everything’s going my way.” FF on Stami staring and smiling.

Hope asks Shawn and Belle, “What’s bigger than two people pledging to spend the rest of their lives together? It’s the biggest commitment you’ll ever make.”
Mimi tells Rex, “You gave me an evening I’ll never forget.” Rex asks, “They why do you look so sad? What’s wrong?”
Bonnie tells Patrick, “Can’t snag a Horton? You could do a lot worse than wind up with Billie. So I say go for it.”
Abby says, “They said if Billie does something bad again, she could lose her job and get arrested.” Chelsea says, “Really...”
NEKKID
Mimi wanders at the docks. She wonders who that guy was. Coincidentally, Jan Spears comes walking toward her. She walks up to Jan screaming, “You evil little...” and socks her. Jan, appropriately, looks confused.
Stami gets back to his hotel room covered in garbage and screaming, “Damn you Mimi Lockhart. Bad mouthing me to Lucas when you’ve done something a million times worse than I have ever done.” He contemplates his garbage-covered self in the mirror and flashes back to his make up session, “You’re going down, Mimi.” He contemplates Nicole’s picture, “On the other hand, after all my trouble, it would be terrible to waste it all on Mimi Lockhart.”
Brady and Chloe in Bed. Chloe’s fantasy. She smiles through the scars. She’s missed him so much, “It won’t be that much longer. We’ll be back together again.”
“Don’t be so sure,” says Nancy, as she walks in. She holds up a newspaper with an article circled, “According to this, you and Brady are through for good.”
Brady leafs through papers. He was supposed to have this stuff to Japan two days ago. He tells himself to focus. Nicole comes in and takes her robe off, “I’ve got just the right thing to help you relieve your stress.”
John lifts weights as Kate spots him. He sweats like, uh, John needing a fix. He assures Kate they will find Phillip. Kate wants to know how. They had the perfect plan and it failed. “I’m the one who dropped the ball,” says John.
Hope reassures Belle. Belle isn’t convinced. She misses her mom right now. She asks what Hope would do if Bo were the one held captive. Hope thinks, if he doesn’t stay away from Billie Reed, I’d let them torture him.
Super Shawn has to do something. He can’t just sit here. He’s going to go rescue Phillip himself. Bo asks, “Whattya nuts?” Like a Stucky’s Pecan Log. Bo tells him to leave it to the professionals.
“No, Dad. I have something they don’t have, something that is sure to bring Phillip back alive.” His Captain Marvel decoder ring?
Nancy reads Chloe a gossip article about Brady hanging out with his step-grandmother. The article claims the couple is so hot if Brady’s former diva-girlfriend was alive she’d be singing, “I Lost My Love To Another.” Chloe doesn’t believe it. She points out the article doesn’t mention any names. And since it’s a very common thing for guys to date their step-grandmothers in Salem, it doesn’t mean anything. Nancy warned her this would happen. “Stop it,” says Chloe, “Why are you doing this to me?”
“If I were Nancy Wesley,” says Stan, “Where in Salem would I go to get my Frankenstein daughter taken care of? St. Luke’s!” He calls St. Luke’s and asks for Clara’s address so he can send her some flowers. He picks up Nicole’s picture, “Brace yourself, Nicole, Life as you know it is about to be over.”
Nicole moves in on Brady. He can’t. He has so much to do. She wants to help him. He says OK and hands her a stack of papers.
John blames himself for the mission’s failure. It’s Kate’s turn to be upbeat. Phillip is resourceful and will come home. Kate walks off. “Damn,” says John, “I gotta find out where Phillip is.” The pain kicks in, “Damn, I need those drugs.” He goes over to the dresser and pulls out a bag.
Jan asks Mimi what the hell is going on. Mimi accuses Jan of telling a complete stranger about her abortion. Jan says, “I didn’t tell anybody. Besides, what could you possibly do to me?”
“THIS,” screams Mimi as she slugs Jan. They both go sailing into the drink.
Bo tries to talk sense into Shawn, “You don’t have the skills to take out a local gang, let alone a group of hostage-takers in a war zone.” Shawn insists he has to go get Phillip. Bo wants to know what kind of a life Shawn and Belle will have if Shawn gets killed.
Hope tells Belle she has to have faith. “Phillip never would have volunteered for that mission if it wasn’t for me. If he dies, I could never go on with someone else.” OK, we’ve never heard that before, have we?
Bo wants to know what this special thing is. Shawn says, “It’s not a thing. It’s someone – it’s Rex.” Ah, not just the decoder ring, Captain Marvel himself.
Nancy insists she is trying to help Chloe, not hurt her. She points out Brady didn’t run from her back when all her hair fell out and she looked like Mr. Clean, so he won’t run from her now that she looks like the Bride of Frankenstein. She hands Chloe the phone and urges her to call Brady.
Brady comes in ready for work. Nicole throws her robe at him, “As acting CEO, I order you to get NEKKID.”
“You’re going down, Nicole,” says Stami, “but first, my boss needs me to make a delivery to John Black.” He pockets a bag-o-pills and heads out the door.
John mumbles if he doesn’t do something about the pain he’ll never be able to bring Phillip home, “I’m sorry Kate, but this is for you and Belle.” He empties the bag. Uh-oh. The cupboard is bare. The desperate junkie rifles through the dresser drawers as Kate comes back in, “Are you all right?” She sees the empty vials, “You couldn’t do this, not again.” John sweats and grits his teeth.
Mimi and Jan struggle back up the ladder at the dock. Jan is mad as a wet hen. Screamin’ Mimi tells Jan about Stan, “You had to have given him the idea.” Jan asks Mimi why she would waste the ammunition she has against Mimi by blabbing it to a complete stranger. Mimi tells Jan if she tells Rex about the abortion, Mimi will tell Shawn about the cage. Jan tells Mimi, “Don’t you threaten me!”
“It’s not a threat. It’s a promise.”
Jan says. “Don’t blame me because you’re a selfish idiot who lied to her boyfriend and sinned against God.”
Mimi flashes back to Stan saying exactly the same thing, “You lying little bitch. You did tell him. You set me up, and you’re going to pay.”
Shawn tells Bo Rex is his secret weapon because he can hack into the enemy computers. Bo wastes his breath trying to reason with Shawn.
Belle tells Hope as awful as it is having the man you love in danger, it could be worse if they had kids. Hope tells her, “Kids change everything. When you and Shawn are parents, you’ll understand.”
“I’ve been thinking about that and I kind of do understand. That’s why I’m not having kids,” says Belle. Hope stares.
Brady compares the NEKKID Nicole to Chloe. She never thought she would see the day when Brady did that, “You know Brady, I can’t believe it. We’re finally really together.”
Brady utters the DOOL words of doom, “And nothing will ever come between us.” He sets his glass of champagne down beside the picture of Chloe on the table.
Fade to the scarred monster Chloe, “You think I don’t want to call Brady and hear his voice. I can’t.”
Nancy tells her, “Yes you can.”
“No,” says Chloe, “If I’m going to tell him, I have to do it in person.”
Nancy goes into action. She’s going to hustle Chloe right over to the Kiriakis mansion. She rushes out as Chloe picks up Brady’s picture, “Maybe Nancy is right, you love me for who I am, not what I look like. And who I am hasn’t changed.” She starts to get dressed but sees the hideous ghoul in the mirror, “NOOOOOOOO!!” Nancy comes running in and Chloe tells her she can’t do this. Her scars are monstrous. Nancy vows to tell Brady and storms out.
John tells Kate, “I didn’t take any drugs. They’re empty, see.” She buys it. She is so proud of her little lying junkie. Kate is hopeful about Phillip. He is more valuable to his captors alive than dead. Besides John is on the case and drug-free.
Kate leaves to dry her hair as John rifles through the bag, “This is crazy. I just have to stop.” The phone rings.
Stan says, “It’s the candy-man, John, and I’ve reopened the shop with some high-grade imported sweets.” John tells him to buzz off. Stan says he won’t. He knows how much John wants the stuff, “If you don’t get rid of the pain, you’ll never be able to save Phillip, and that would devastate Kate and Belle.” John tosses the phone and doubles over in pain.
Jan insists she didn’t tell anyone, “If strangers on the street know your secret, it’s just a matter of time before Sexy-Rexy finds out.”
“Then your blackmail information would be useless.”
“If that’s the case,” says Jan, “Maybe I should just call Rex right now.”
Hope, trying to earn her grandmother-merit-badge wants to know what Belle means, “You love kids.” No, Belle just meant she isn’t having kids anytime soon. She’s learned her lesson about making big decisions without being sure. She wants to finish school, get her career started and be secure in her [next?] marriage. Hope tells her that sounds really smart. And then Belle lays this bombshell on us that we have never heard before. Until she makes things right with Phillip, she can’t move on with Shawn. Imagine that.
Bo would have more luck reasoning with Max the dog. But then, Max is a lot more intelligent than Shawn. Hope comes up. She won’t let Shawn do this. Belle chimes in, “I can’t lose you, too.”
Shawn seemingly relents. He gives up on his brilliant plan.
“Like father like son,” Hope tells Bo. She doesn’t think Shawn has really given up on the scheme. She wants Bo to promise he will be there to stop Shawn and not go running of with Billie somewhere.
Shawn promises Belle he won’t do something crazy.
Chloe vows to let Brady know she is alive, “But it has to be in my own time.” She picks up the phone and dials, “I have to stop Nancy before she tells him.”
Nancy’s phone rings as she walks along. She looks at the caller-ID, “I’m sorry, Chloe. This has gone on too long. It’s time Brady knew the truth.
The doorbell rings. Brady puts on Nicole’s robe and answers the door, “Whoa, Nancy, what are you doing here?”
Nancy’s eyes pop out at the cross-dresser, “I’ve come with important news about Chloe.”
Mimi tells Jan if she had anything to do with the creep, she’s a dead woman. Jan says, “If I were you, I’d be more worried about that guy being at your apartment right now telling Rex the truth.” Jan stomps off. Mimi’s phone rings, “Hey, honey, what’s up. Yeah, my mom’s fine. I’ll be home in a few minutes. We can talk then.” She hangs up, “OMG, please don’t let him know what I did.”
Mimi walks off as Stan comes down to the dock, “John, I know you want ‘em.”
Kate is asleep. John talks to her, “Just get some sleep. I’m not gonna let that punk drug dealer ruin my life. I think It’s about time I find out exactly who that piece of scum is.”
Stan lifts the bag-o-pills. John’s face comes into the picture staring at the pills like a hungry dog.
