A Regular Little Geisha

Carly and Lawrence fire nasty names back and forth at each other. "I never realized I married such a monster," growls Carly.

Lawrence sticks out his tongue, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt m... BLARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!"

Carly buries her knife into his gut.

Sami arrives at Chez Rouge and finds Maggie, "This is harder than I thought it would be."

"Don't worry about it," says Maggie, "Lots of people eat alone."

"That's not it," says Sami, "I need a job."

Stef 'n Ho walk up behind Sami and Kate overhears, "Give her a job and I'll never eat here again." Maggie decides she never wanted to give anyone a job more than right now.

Mia and Brady meet up outside and talk about Sydney and Nicole. Brady tells her they've dodged a bullet so far. He says he's optimistic as long as everyone involved can keep a secret. Too late. Mia goes pale and Brady wants to know what's up.

EJ continues his rage. He thinks their baby died. Nicole denies. EJ buys none of it and explodes, "Say it! Tell me you lied!"

Nicole cowers and whines, "Yes, I lied."

Justin hits the pub and joins Bo. Bo thanks him for trying to talk Hope into staying. He says he wants advice and may need a lawyer.

Lawrence contemplates his wound and sinks to the floor.

Prevuze

Chloe finds Daniel at the hospital and tells him Lexie gave her a clean bill of health. "Wow," says Daniel, "And I thought you were doing so well." They agree to meet for lunch. Chloe bops off and runs right into Phillip.

"Awkward, isn't it," says Phillip, "I don't know what to say... Sorry my mom tried to kill you..."

Chloe says, "I don't know what to say myself."

"It'll come to you," says Phillip, "Just whine out the syllables one at a time." Phillip gives her an update on Lucas and an envelope from him.

Justin says domestic issues aren't his area of expertise. Bo nukes over what Hope has done and tells Justin it's not right, "It's a separation."

Justin asks, "Does that mean you want to make it legal?"

"Not necessarily," says Bo, "I just want to make it permanent."

Nicole whimpers around and keeps repeating, "I lied... I lied..."

EJ won't let up, "Tell me what you lied about. I want every excruciating detail."

Chloe opens the envelope and finds annulment papers. She's not sure how she feels about this.

"If you love someone, set them free," says Phillip.

Chloe rolls her eyes, "Where did you come up with something that lame?"

"It was in a fortune cookie I found," says Phillip.

"You probably found it because someone threw it away after finding something that stupid inside."

Phillip apologizes for his foul mood. Chloe says she never meant to hurt Lucas. Phillip thinks this may be the wake up call Lucas needs. He notices her engagement ring.

Stefano pulls the girls apart and reminds Maggie her investors wouldn’t want her dissing one of her most influential customers.

Kate and Sami toss a few catty remarks at each other and go their separate ways.

Mia stammers, "I kinda... sorta... told Will. I told him I had a baby and he told his mom and Mrs. Horton knows and Chad. Then I told Joe the billboard painter and..." She points across the street. Brady looks over and sees a huge billboard, "MIA HAD A BABY!" Brady flips out.

Mia 'splains she just told them she had a baby and that's it. Brady asks how Chad took it and Mia goes through all that. She says she got him to back off by agreeing to get back together with him. Brady asks about Will. Mia tells him she dropped him. Brady says he's sorry for her situation and tells her to call if she needs to talk. He leaves. Mia broods. Chad finds her.

EJ continues his flaming rage. Nicole admits their baby died, but claims Sydney is their daughter because they love her so much. EJ thinks Nicole just wanted the DiMera money. He demands the truth, "She's not our biological child... IS SHE?"

Nicole is totally busted, "No. No she's not our biological daughter."

Phillip tells Chloe about the Stef 'n Ho union, "The woman who tried to kill you married the man who tried to kill me. "Family reunions are sure going to be fun, but she's not a part of my life right now."

Maggie says she can't give Sami a job. Sami figures it was worth a shot. Maggie gives her an application anyway, "Ordinarily I wouldn't have you fill one out, but my waste basket's not quite full."

Chad sits on the park bench with Mia and asks why she is upset. He accuses her of thinking of Will. Mia gets snippy and insists Will is out of her life but says her feelings can't change that fast. Chad says she can control her feelings, get over Will and focus on their relationship instead. Mia says she needs time and tells him to stop pressuring her. "Aw, just forget it then," he growls.

Apparently EJ has been shopping at Clue-Mart. He now knows Nicole has bamboozled him, "You must've been laughing your arse off."

Doc Danny finds Chloe. She shows him the annulment papers. Daniel thinks it's strange that Chloe looks sad after getting exactly what she wants. Chloe tells him she still feels guilty. Daniel assures her Lucas has done the right thing, "Doing this... this is what a real man would do. It's shocking that Lucas did it too. This is good for him to do this. He admitted your marriage was a mistake and here you are shouldering all the blame. Let him move on."

I guess we are free now, aren't we," asks Chloe.

"Yes," Daniel moves in and examines her.

Bo says he doesn't want a legal situation. Justin asks why he wants a lawyer. "Ciara is my daughter," says Bo, "and it's not right Hope can make a decision about her on her own." Justin thinks it sounds like Bo wants a custody fight without a divorce. Bo says he just wants Justin's help.

Carly cleans up the mess, breaks into a desk drawer and gets some papers. She stuffs them in her bag, picks up her suitcase and leaves. Lawrence floats out of her life on a river of blood.

Hey, back off. If Phillip can come up with "If you love someone, set them free," I don't think a little "river of blood" metaphor is too lame for this show.

Nicole insists she loves EJ and just wanted them to be happy. EJ says when they first got together everyone told him he couldn't trust her, "They were right, you're just a lying selfish piece of trash!"

Nicole snatches the comeback right out from under me, "You're wrong! I am not selfish! I did all of this for you!"

Stefano orders a massive meal with a desert that would instantly kill any diabetic. Maggie leaves and Kate expresses her concern. Stefano ignores it and suggests a trip to Tuscany. Kate nags, "I don't want to see you leave this restaurant on a gurney. Body bag, yes... gurney, no." Stefano insists he can take care of himself.

Chad wants to find their baby, but doesn't want Mia to hate him any more. Neither of them can figure how things got so screwed up. Mia just wants to be a normal kid, but says she can't do that any more, "Having the baby... Everything changed." Tender Chad understands.

He hugs her as Will comes up, "So it's true. You guys are back together."

EJ continues to lecture and accuse, "YOU DID IT ALL FOR THE MONEY!" Nicole claims she did it for happiness. That worked well, didn't it? EJ pounds down a couple more drinks as Nicole continues to defend herself. He reminds her she went to Brady instead of him when the chips were down. Nicole says he was gone and she had nowhere else to turn. She knew EJ wanted to love the baby and wanted nothing more than to give him a child.

EJ drones, "I had two daughters and they both died."

The Prevuze unabashed dictionary defines 'hodown' as what will happen to Nicole now that EJ has figured things out.

Maggie stares at Sami's application, "Gee, I've never seen a job application with death row on it." She's amazed at Sami's lack of experience and competence so she immediately offers her a job, "I'll start you off in the office." Sami thinks Maggie is making up a job for her and says she doesn't want that. She tells Maggie her kids are coming back today and she's scared they will see how much she misses Grace.

Mia confirms she and Chad are back together. Will figures she must've been really shaken up after they broke up if she's back with Chad this soon. Mia asks for a word alone with Will. Chad kisses her and leaves.

EJ figures more booze will help the situation so he empties the bottle. He wonders where Nicole got the baby, "Who are Sydney's real parents?"

Justin suggests Bo be careful about issuing ultimatums. Bo wants a lawyer but doesn't want to follow advice. Justin suggests a cooling off period. Bo don' wan' no stinkin' cooling off, "I have never been this angry in my life!"

Carly, clad in sunglasses the size of the sun itself, is on a plane winging her way back to dear old Salem. Her seatmate asks if she's a nervous flier. "I'm going home," says Carly.

"I know it's none of my business," says the guy, "But did those sunglasses count as two pieces of carry-on?"

Maggie sympathizes, "Even though she wasn't mind, I understand your situation after losing Janice." She assures Sami she will be all right.

Mia tells Will she realized she still has feelings for Chad, "That doesn't mean I didn't care about you. I did, but you betrayed me and Chad and I need each other right now." Will agrees to step aside. Mia says, "I wish things could have been different, but no other soap operas were hiring so I had to take this job."

Stefano gorges himself and tells Kate he thinks his steak is tough and bland. Kate suggests a little salt. If his diabetes doesn't kill him, maybe she can force a heart attack. Stefano is impressed with her culinary skills. "I'm a regular little geisha," chirps Kate.

Phillip walks in and Kate stares at the guy with him.

EJ puts his hand on Nicole's throat and asks where she got Sydney. Nicole flashes back to the switcheroo. She jerks away and stares.

Sigh! Prevuze, you need to consult with Nicole for a much better excuse.

HA! This from the guy that wrote, Titus Andronicus. Come on, Will, admit it. Neither you nor Babe Ruth hit a home run every time.

"That's not it," says Sami, "I need a job."

Sami lives in her mother’s townhouse, and Marlena certainly is footing the bill for that. As Johnny’s mother, you can bet that EJ is giving her a handsome monthly stipend. Even if he’s in rehab, Lucas should be giving her something for Allie’s support. Heck, wouldn’t Mommy Dearest continue to sign a paycheck for him? Anyway, who will be taking care of the kids while Sami’s working? Does Maggie have kiddie care for her employees?

Justin says domestic issues aren't his area of expertise.

OMG, this is a DOOL first! In a show that lawyers and doctors appear to be experts in every facet of their fields, a lawyer finally admits he actually has a speciality.

Phillip gives her an update on Lucas and an envelope from him.

Boy, talk about the cruelest of cuts. Since Lucas is off canvas, he has his brother making deliveries.

EJ won't let up, "Tell me what you lied about. I want every excruciating detail."

Good gravy! Spare us Nicole’s grief. EJ can access the Prevuze website and check the archives for every snarky and nausea inducing detail. I just hope the mansion has an ample supply of barf bags.

"The woman who tried to kill you married the man who tried to kill me.”

There you have it. A relationship built on attempted murder. While sleeping, Stef’n Ho had both better keep at least one eye open.

Apparently EJ has been shopping at Clue-Mart.

Hopefully, all the clues were blue light specials. It only took EJ a year to find out that Nicole faked her pregnancy so she’s not Sydney’s mother. I can only hope it doesn’t take another year for him to figure out that Nicole stole the baby from Sami. EJ definitely needs to spend more time shopping at Clue-Mart.

The Prevuze unabashed dictionary defines 'hodown' as what will happen to Nicole now that EJ has figured things out.

Webster’s ain’t got nothin’ on Prevuze!!!

Kate suggests a little salt. If his diabetes doesn't kill him, maybe she can force a heart attack.

Is Joe’s contract up anytime soon? The writers really must have a vendetta against Stefano. Hmmm – what if he dies, and Kate inherits the DiMera empire? EJ had better hope his father had Kate sign a prenup.

TGIF and TGFP!!!

"Bring It On" Sami Brady...that poodle poster cracked me up!

Prevuze description of Lawrence's stabbing was very compelling - river of blood and all. I especially liked Blarrrrrggghhhh Really evocative.

Phillip, "I don't know what to say... Sorry my mom tried to kill you..."

Is there an app for that?

Phillip…notices her engagement ring.

Do they even HAVE (straight) male writers on this show?? First there is the teenage boy demanding to know where his out-of-wedlock baby is. And now Philip is noticing Chloe’s ring? In the first place I can’t imagine any guy even noticing a woman’s ring during a casual conversation. Even if he did, Chloe & Lucas aren’t divorced yet. She could still be wearing Luserclueless’s ring. Phil can tell that this isn’t it?

Bo don' wan' no stinkin' cooling off, "I have never been this angry in my life!"

Prevuze, is Bo doing his patented Snarly-face? If not, I’ve seen him angrier. For example, when Officer Joe Bob gets the donut order wrong.

Thanks for the great Prevuze on a great Friday.

PS Willie S - Sorry, but I'm with Prevuze on the "Titus Andronicus" snark. That one stunk up the joint!

Thank God I had printed off Prevuze to read while in the doctor's office waiting room this morning. What do I care if others in the area think because of my chuckling I should've been next door at the psychiatrist's office?

OMG! This statement from Bo: "it's not right Hope can make a decision about her on her own." almost makes me think he's growing a pair. But I'll actually believe it if he really sees a lawyer over it.

Was this an unitalicized Prevuism? Maggie stares at Sami's application, "Gee, I've never seen a job application with death row on it." If it's real dialogue they actually snuck in another good one.

Didn't EJ insist on a DNA test just awhile back? Surely it said he's the father. Or maybe he knows every test coming out of that hospital is screwed up somehow.

I can't wait to see Carly's sunglasses because I KNOW Prevuze does not exaggerate. Prevuze - the best friend while waiting in a doctor's office on the Internet. TGIF! :D

Can it really be that hard for Sami to get a job? In my neck of the woods, if you are as close to a public official as Sami is to Mayor Abe, that would pretty much gaurantee you a cushy six-figure job, and you'd only have to show up about half the time.

Can you even get a civil marriage annulled? They weren't married in the Church and Chloe & Lucas did do the 'nasty' at least once, right? Loved the new entry into the Prevuze unabashed dictionary, too. TGIP, TGIF and welcome back Carly/Katerina and her shades. BTW, I really do hate Kate. LK does a great job but I just hate that Ho.

tj7812 - Yes indeed, Carly and Lawrence are coming back to Salem. They aren't in Salem yet. Today was their first appearance.

And, yes, the original actors are reprising their roles. As I understand it, Michael Sabatino won't be on long. Just long enough to get Carly established back in Salem.
