Lolita, Cagney And Lacey

Victor and his goons walk into Phillip's hospital room as Dr. Baker watches. Phillip asks about the plan. Victor announces, "Phase I is on the verge of being completed."

Mia is at Sami's place to help Will babysit. Sami comes out and shows off her new dress. Will & Mia head for the Java Café with Grace. High school drama queen Sami stands alone and gets all flustered about her date with Rafe. Rafe knocks. Sami lets him in. Rafe drools.

EJ calls Baker and asks him to come to the mansion. Nicole overhears and asks him why he did that.

Sami sees Rafe has worn his jeans and leathers and thinks she's a little overdressed, "You're dressed like we're going bowling."

Rafe apologizes, "I should have said we didn't need to dress up." He hands Sami a yellow flower, "This is a hint of where we are headed."

Sami smiles, "It's beautiful. I had no idea dandelions were in bloom already." They're off.

EJ tells Nicole that Baker is charming and he likes his company. Nicole is miffed because EJ didn't tell her he was going to invite Baker. She reminds him he promised to call off the investigation until Stefano came home. EJ drops the bomb: Stefano is missing.

Will and Mia are at the Java Café to study. Mia thinks Grace will be a distraction. Will says he owes Mia a lot when it comes to Grace because she talked him into wanting to keep her around. In the background, a couple students come in and buzz about Mia.

Stephanie welcomes Phillip home. Victor follows him in and asks to talk to him alone. Stephanie protests and refuses to leave.

EJ says he can't get in contact with Stefano, so he has decided he's missing. Nicole asks if EJ thinks Baker had something to do with it. "Yes," says EJ, "He's a lowlife and could be turned by the Kiriakis family. When Baker leaves here there is nothing I will not know about him."

Victor asks if Stephanie has been hitting the vodka. He thinks she's being a spoiled brat. Phillip separates them and asks Stephanie to give them just a minute. Stephanie leaves. Phillip asks Victor to cut Stephanie some slack, and then asks how the plan is going. Victor smirks, "Our plan is complete. Everything is as it should be."

"Then it's time for me to strike," says Phillip.

Mia says she is thankful, too. She thinks life would be harder without Will around. Tad and Kenzie walk up. Kenzie reminds Mia they know each other at Salem West. She sees the baby, "So... You've been busy, eh?"

Rafe and Sami are out on a woodsie. Rafe says the place is near his old neighborhood, down on the bad-boy south side of town. He figures a girl like Sami wouldn't have spent much time down there. We hear Billy Joel singing 'Uptown Girl' in the background as Sami fills Rafe in with the shocking news that she's been around, which is about the same as saying a raisin has seen a little sun. Sami wonders how many girls he has brought up there. Rafe reels off a chain of names, "Sabrina, Barbara, Tanya, Lolita, Cagney & Lacey..." Sami stops him. Rafe checks out his next move in the Guy Manual and quotes verbatim, "You-are-the-only-girl-I-have-ever-brought-up-here-or-ever-want-to." He moves in and plants a big one on Sami.

The Guy Manual – It never fails.®

Nicole answers the door. Baker comes in and EJ orders Nicole to go upstairs. Nicole resists. EJ insists. Nicole leaves as EJ and Baker hit the rumpus room. EJ accuses Baker of not being who he says he is.

Phillip says, "I'm ready for action."

"Fine," says Victor, "I'll leave and Stephanie can come back in." Stephanie returns and Phillip accuses her of eavesdropping. She gets upset and claims she wasn't. Phillip finds his own quote from the Guy Manual, "I'm-sorry. I-didn't-mean-it. I-trust-you-completely." Stephanie attacks and opens his shirt.

The Guy Manual – It never fails.®

A couple more of Phillip's buttons come undone revealing his bandage, Stephanie panics and flashes back to his shooting.

Rafe shows Sami Orion. He says he's into astronomy and the myths that surround it, "Orion's belt is made of the footprints of the god of the flea people. The god of the flea people had three wives who ran away so he jumped into the sky and that's where the footprints came from." Rafe tells her he wanted to be an astronaut until he found out NASA has 20 spots open for every 5,000 applicants. He figures fate brought him where he is and tells her he believes in fate. Rafe makes his move, but Sami hears a sound and panics. Rafe tells her it was just a fish jumping. Sami runs over to see the fishie. Apparently she must figure it's suspended in mid air over the river.

SPLASH!

Nicole listens as EJ accuses Baker of everything under the sun. He wonders why Baker came to his house since doctors generally don't make housecalls. EJ also tells him Stefano learned about Baker's gambling debts, "Now Father has disappeared."

Dr. Baker defends himself, "I had nothing to do with your father's disappearance, but I think I know someone who might."

Sami screams for help. Rafe to the rescue.

Mia says she remembers Kenzie. Kenzie gets catty as they talk about their adventures at Salem West, "You were good at drama."

"I didn't take drama."

"But you sure caused it," smirks Kenzie. Mia becomes indignant and the Kenzster claims she was just kidding. Mia leaves for the ladies' room. She's probably watching this on her iPhone and has to go be sick. Kenzie tells Will, "Mia was popular before she mysteriously dropped out of school."

Stephanie apologizes for getting into it with Victor. She asks how Phillip would like it if she kept things from him. Phillip says he doesn't think she tells him everything. She assures him she doesn't, "For example, I haven't told you after you got shot, I went to see EJ and gave him hell."

"Just your presence is hell enough," says Phillip.

Baker tells EJ the Kiriakis family is the obvious place to look if he wonders where his father is. "It is essential," says EJ, "to cover both the obvious and the opaque. That leads me back to you."

Victor calls and asks EJ to meet him at the pier. His henchmen stand behind him.

Kenzie tells Will to ask Mia why she dropped out of school, "I heard she was doing drugs and went to rehab. Or maybe it was bulimia. I don't know, but it was something." Will lectures her for gossiping.

"It's not gossip," says Kenz, "I'm 95% cent sure."

"You're 95% bitch."

Kenzie taunts, "Someone's in looooovvvve. It's not my fault your girlfriend is a druggie." Tad and Kenzie leave. Mia comes back and asks where everyone went.

Phillip tells Stephanie she shouldn't have gone to see EJ, "I love you and you are brave. Brave but stupid. EJ might blow off this incident, but given possible future events..."

Stephanie cuts him off, "What are you planning?"

EJ tells Victor he'll be there. As he walks out, EJ tells Baker not to leave.

After EJ goes, Nicole urges Baker to get out of town while he can.

Rafe carries drippin' wet Sami back to their spot. He wraps her in a blanket and Sami shivers.

Will sidesteps the issue. Mia presses. Will finally tells her why he's brooding, "Kenzie said you went to rehab for drugs. I want the truth. Is that really why you left Salem West?"

Prevuze

Phillip tells Stephanie going to EJ was a mistake. Stephanie reminds him she has been in the middle of this since it started.

Baker tells Nicole the situation isn't that dire, "Working for the DiMeras might give me a chance to clear my debts..."

Nicole cuts him off, "Or be buried under a turnpike. They will find out and they will hand you a shovel so you can dig your own grave." She offers to pay his debts, "Follow me and I will show you the answer to all your problems."

EJ and his goons meet up with Victor and his goons. Goon-a-paloosa.

Sami, minus her wet clothes, huffs, snots and shivers as she and Rafe cuddle under blankets. He thinks the date is a disaster. She thinks it isn't and makes her move.

Mia flashes back to having her baby, "Yes... that's it... I was in rehab. So I suppose you don't want me around Grace." Mia leaves. Will stares.

Phillip thinks Stephanie is romanticizing the situation. She insists she is part of it and says she won't stand on the sidelines. Phillip says he doesn't want her to get hurt. Stephanie demands to know everything, "Just tell me what the plan is."

Victor and EJ stand face-to-face, each with his cadre of thugs standing behind. Victor says, "We have him."

"Who?"

"Guess."

"Father..."

Nicole starts to rush upstairs. Baker catches her halfway up the stairway and asks how much she is going to give him. Nicole says she has $15,000 for him. Baker tells her that amount won't scratch the surface on his debts and he demands $50,000. Nicole says she doesn't have that kind of money. She turns to climb the stairs. Baker starts to follow, but slips and does a Ford Decker, crashing to the floor below.

Rafe stops the festivities, "This isn't what I planned. Well, actually it's what I planned, just not how I planned it."

"I know," says Sami, "It feels right to me." We pan back into the black night sky and watch the action unfold along with the flea people god.

It's kind of nice that the storyline calls for Will to spend time with Grace. But what does he think of Ali and Johnny?

I am 95% sure if I miss this show I miss nothing. Love that Victor has Stefano, but I mean come on, he's the Phoenix and resistence is futile - oh wait wrong show!

Sami lets him in. Rafe drools.…and just how much cleavage is showing?

Will & Mia head for the Java Café with Grace. What mother in her right mind lets her sixteen year old son and his girlfriend take her six month old baby out of the house to study at a coffee house? Oh, that’s right – this is Sami we’re talking about.

Nicole asks if EJ thinks Baker had something to do with it. "Yes," says EJ, "He's a lowlife and could be turned by the Kiriakis family.”Huh? How does EJ know that Dr. Baker is involved in Phillip’s case? Why IS Dr. Baker involved in Phillip’s case? He’s a bleeping pediatrician! Of course, this is basis DOOL 101. Since EJ knows all about Dr. Baker’s gambling debts, he will be able to coerce him into spying on the Kirakis family for the DiMeras. Geez!

Phillip says, "I'm ready for action."

"Fine," says Victor, "I'll leave and Stephanie can come back in."
HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sami screams for help. Rafe to the rescue. What have we here – a wet T-shirt contest? I think that Sami will be judged the winner by a country mile.

Baker starts to follow, but slips and does a Ford Decker, crashing to the floor below. Will Mary help Nicole stuff Dr. Baker’s body in a water heater?

We pan back into the black night sky and watch the action unfold along with the flea people god.…and the Red Hot Chili Peppers with Flea on bass can be heard crooning…

Give it away give it away give it away now
Give it away give it away give it away now
Give it away give it away give it away now
Once again Prevuze, thanks for the great hump day update.

Victor thinks Stephanie is acting like a spoiled brat. He always was a good judge of character. She'd better be careful about sassing back to Vic, she might end up holding up the other end of Dr. Baker's turnpike.

"Baker starts to follow but slips and does a Ford Decker." Aah, Prevuze brings up some fond memories of that whole storyline. HAHAHAHA Prevuze's memory is amazing.

I hope Barnes & Noble and Borders book stores are stocking enough copies of that Guy Manual, it sounds like something that could fly off the shelves pretty quickly.

LOL over Sami rushing over to see the fish "apparently she must figure it's suspended in mid air over the river" and "goon-a-palooza", another new entry in the Prevuze dictionary.

Thanks!

~Leslie, obviously Grace is like a year now. It's all right.

Kenzie reminds Mia they know each other at Salem West.Question - If Salem West is so close, that kids from that particular high school hangout on the east side of town, why are there two schools at all?

Rafe says the place is near his old neighborhood, down on the bad-boy south side of town.OK, how many sides of Salem are there?? And Sami has been to a wartorn Middle East, she can probably handle the wrong side of the tracks.

"I'm-sorry. I-didn't-mean-it. I-trust-you-completely."I suppose words speak greater than actions.

Apparently she must figure it's suspended in mid air over the river. My thoughts exactly. lolz

"For example, I haven't told you after you got shot, I went to see EJ and gave him hell."Yep, he sure missed his tea that afternoon!

Tad and Kenzie leave.I'm sorry to whomever I offend, but I find these names hilarious.

"Just tell me what the plan is."If history repeats itself, she will tell Roman or Bo and then try and convince Philip it was for the 'greater good.'

Baker starts to follow, but slips and does a Ford Decker, crashing to the floor below.WHOO! More death at the DiMera house. What a great place to raise a baby says this guy!

Which took longer: a) Nicole and EJ's wedding; or b) Phillip's complete recovery from his near-fatal gunshot wound to the chest?

Could be Ted and Kizzie. With the new digital setup, I no longer get the crutch of the closed-captioning to help figure out what the mumbling actors are saying.

WHOO! More death at the DiMera house. What a great place to raise a baby says this guy!

We almost lost Theo on those very same steps. I think I'd have them inspected.

Late to the party again which limits my choices of unique things to comment about. Do have a few of course.

We hear Billy Joel singing 'Uptown Girl' in the background.

What popped into my head was the tune by the Pet Shop Boys…’East End boys and West End girls’…

She's probably watching this on her iPhone and has to go be sick.

She’ll have to get in line behind all of the audience members heading that way as well.

Nice caption JustCallMeTracy. However, Nicole does have Mary.

As for the wet Safe action, isn’t that a recycled script from one of the Santos & Colleen scenes? lol

Now I have to see if I can muster up any appetite for lunch. Thanks for the excellent recap Prevuze.
