One... Two... Two And A Half...

Jack and Jennifer sleep. Birds chirp. Abby comes into their bedroom. She stands like a statue at the foot of their bed. Jennifer wakes up. She tiptoes over and asks what Abby is doing. Abby says, "I just wanted to make sure Dad was OK. That he didn't die during the night."

Billie comes into the dining room. She thanks Chelsea for making the coffee. Chelsea couldn't sleep thinking about Abby's parents. She can't forget her own parents, "But knowing you and Bo are my biological parents makes it that much worse." Well, good morning to you, too, Chelsea. She tells Billie, "You didn't know your parents growing up. You don't know what it's like to be questioned about everything you do."

"That's right," says Billie, "Speaking of which, where did you get those pajamas."

"I just went down to Salem Boulevard and turned a couple of tricks. Can't you just lighten up," asks the sweet little thing.

"Those pajamas are too revealing for a girl your age," says Billie, "Especially with a man living in the house. Go put on a robe."

The aforementioned man walks in, "How are you doing Chelsea?"

She bites his head off, "How do you think, after last night?"

That got Billie's attention, "What happened?"

"My father picked another ridiculous fight with Patrick," says Chelsea. Billie wants details.

Hope tells Zach to get in the kitchen finish his cereal. Zach stares. "I'll count to three," says Hope, "One... Two... Two and a half...."

Bo butts in, "If you're angry with me you shouldn't take it out on the tiny man."

"You're the one with an anger management problem," says Hope.

"Every time I see Patrick he has his hands on my daughter," says Bo, "and he always has the same excuse – 'it's not what you think.'"

"Did you ever think it's Chelsea who wants you to think it," asks Hope, "Maybe it's not OK with Chelsea you and Billie are her parents. But you don't want to think it through. You'd rather bump chests with Patrick."

Bo flashes back to the argument, "Come on, Boy Scout, make your move." Hope walks up and asks what Bo is doing.

Back to this sad excuse for reality. "Patrick didn't do anything wrong," says Hope, "You did. You're a cop. You can't just walk up and assault someone. If you keep this up you'll push Chelsea right into Patrick's arms. Is that what you want?"

Kate paces, "Lucas is starting his new job at Titan today. Maybe I should call and wish him luck."

Lucas' phone rings. Sophie the idiot picks up. "Who is this," asks Kate.

"My name is Sophie."

"Heelllooooo Sophie," says Kate, "I'm not sure I got the right number. Is Lucas there?" Sophie gives the phone to Lucas. Kate says, "Well, congratulations you have finally moved on from Sami."

Sami says good morning to Austin. He is on the computer checking out real estate. He's looking for an apartment.

Sami thinks it's awesome he's staying in Salem, "You don't' need a place to live, you can stay here with me."

Lucas asks, "What are you talking about? I was supposed to marry her. What kind of a person do you think I am?"

Kate asks, "Are we really gonna let Sami win?"

Lucas says, "This isn't about Sami. You have ruined my life and my son's life."

"Sami isn't accountable for anything. Is that what you are saying," asks Kate.

"What I am saying is I want you out of my life for good," says Lucas.

Kate says, "Well, I just called to wish you good luck." She hangs up, "Damn you, Sami, because of you I lost Lucas. But Austin, I'll be damned if I lose you to Sami."

Sami says she will clear the junk out of her other bedroom and Austin can stay there.

"People will think we're involved," he says.

"Who cares what people think," says Sami, "I think you'd really be making a difference for me. You'd be helping with the rent and doing me a huge favor."

"I don't' think it would work."

"I do," says Sami, "Why did you come back to Salem anyway?"

"I decided my future is here."

Billie is waiting for an answer, "How did the fight start last night?"

Patrick gives the story. Bo misinterpreted.

Here's a surprise, Chelsea stands up for him, "Patrick is right, and it would have been a bigger fight if Hope hadn't shown up. You're just upset no matter what I do, Billie. You don't think I can do anything right. No wonder I feel no connection with you. All this stuff about your maternal instinct is just an excuse to make my life miserable."

Bo doesn’t want his daughter to be with Lockhart. Hope says, "Bo, he's living with her, for God's sake. You think he is taking your role as a father?"

No, Bo thinks he is taking another role, "This is about him taking advantage of my teenage daughter. She was fighting him off when I got there." Yeah, she was struggling to release the death-grip she had him in.

Hope says, "I don't remember Chelsea screaming 'Daddy, this man is attacking me.' I think she was PO'd you were there. They weren't doing anything romantic. She was probably upset about the fact Jack is dying."

"Isn't it strange how he always shows up at the right time," asks Bo.

"You should be proud your daughter was there for Abby," says Hope, "Until last night, I thought she was pretty self-centered."

"You were wrong," he sneers.

"Our problems are nothing compared to Jack and Jennifer's," says Hope.

Abby says she didn't mean to wake Jennifer up.

"That's OK," says Jennifer, "I was going to get up in about four hours anyway... just kidding."

"This is the fourth time I've been here during the night," says Abby, "I sat next to Daddy and listened for him to take a breath. When I didn't hear anything I got scared. I wanted to put my hand over his heart but I didn't because I didn't want to wake him up."

Jennifer says, "You don't have to worry about that yet. Lexie promised me he has months to live."

Abby says, "I don't know who to believe. At least I got to know dad growing up. He was the coolest dad in the world. But Jack Junior will never remember him." Jack listens. Abby goes on, "I just want to tell you, you and Jack junior can count on me."

"I am so proud of you to know that," says Jennifer.

Jack stirs, "Oh, Abigail, are you OK?"

"Yeah," she says, "I'm sorry for getting you upset last night."

"I should have told you about the illness before that," says Jack, "I just wanted to spare you the pain."

Abby promises she won't bother him any more. She'll fix breakfast for him. That'll finish him off. She's going to get Jack Junior and meet them down stairs.

Abby leaves. Jack asks, "She came in four times, huh?"

"You were awake," says Jennifer, "You heard it all. That must have been hard."

"It proves something to me I've known all along," says Jack, "The Horton women are the strongest most caring mother and daughter any man could ever ask for."

"Right back at you," says Jennifer, "What are we going to do without you Jack?"

Jack says, "I have it all worked out."

Jennifer asks, "What are you planning, Jack?" I'm guessing it's not a going away party.

Bo and Hope cuddle. They are glad to have each other. Hope wants to do something for Jennifer to lift her spirits, "Which means stretching the budget a little..." Hey, they could sell the yacht.

Patrick sees things aren't going well and makes an exit. Billie says she wouldn't do anything to make Chelsea miserable. Chelsea says Billie is always standing in her way. She runs out and phones granny, "Kate..."

"Yes," says Kate, "Is this my granddaughter?"

"Yeah," says Chelsea, "Grandma... I feel silly calling you that because you seem so young and beautiful."

Kate eats it up, "Flattery will get you everywhere."

"I need you right now," says Chelsea.

Stop the presses, "I'll be right over."

Chelsea hangs up as Billie walks by. Billie asks who Chelsea is talking to. Chelsea snaps, "See, Billie, that's exactly what I mean!"

Billie backpedals, "I didn't say that to get on you, I was just being curious."

Chelsea backs down, "OK. It was grandma Kate. I'm gonna ask her for an advance on my salary at Basic Black. I don't have anything to wear. What I have is too formal."

Billie asks, "Why didn't you come to me?"

Chelsea snarls, "Because you would expect me to make it up forever and I don't want to owe you a damn thing."

Lucas brings coffee. Streets of love...

"Thanks again for the sleep over," says Sophie.

"My pleasure," says Lucas, "Thank goodness Will was away and I had the room to offer you."

Sophie says, "Last night I got up to get a drink of water and I heard you talking in your sleep."

Lucas asks, "What was I taking about?"

Sophie says, "Sami."

Austin tells Sami he's going to start his own company in Salem, "Life is too short to not go for what you want."

"I agree," says Sami.

Somehow that triggered wedding memories. "I'm sorry," says Austin, "I shouldn’t have brought up your wedding."

"That's OK. Its time for me to move on," says Sami.

"If I can help let me know."

Sami beams, "I think it's cool you're starting your own company, Austin. I could work for you!" Austin just can't suppress his joy.

Jack says he isn't planning anything. He gets all happy-happy and tells her he just meant he will be watching over them. Jennifer tells him they have to make the most of the time they have left. She goes to help Abby.

"I'm sorry Jennifer. I'm going to be leaving you a little sooner than you think," says Jack.

Abby has made blueberry pancakes. Jack comes in, "Homemade pancakes. Can't get much better than that. He will check on Jack Junior until everything is ready."

"Mom can't we help Dad get better," asks Abby. Jennifer stares.

Chelsea comes into the room. She has dressed and Billie compliments the dress she is wearing, "See, that would be OK to wear to work. Why do you need new clothes?"

"Everybody has already seen me in the new clothes grandma Kate gave me," says Chelsea.

"The people who have seen you in those clothes don't work at Basic Black. Look at me. I've worn this outfit several times."

Chelsea nearly pukes, "I don't want to look like my mother." HA! The anorexic little skank should be so lucky.

"At least you called me your mother," says Billie.

"We're about as different as a mother and daughter can be," says Chelsea, "I want to make a fashion statement, not walk around dressed like a cop. Since everyone in this family is an addict or a prostitute or both, I guess it really doesn't matter what I wear."

"I resent that, Chelsea," snaps Billie, "When I confided in you, I didn't think you'd throw it back in my face."

Kate arrives. She asks Chelsea, "What can I do for you?" Billie butts in and asks to talk to Kate. Chelsea leaves. Billie tells Kate not to spoil Chelsea, "No more cash or gifts." Chelsea listens. Chelsea ain't happy.

Bo comes in with a box.

Hope is on the phone, "OK, Block four hours." She hangs up and tells Bo she is good to go with Jennifer's surprise. He says he has a present for her.

"When did you have time to buy me something," she asks.

"I didn't buy it. I made it."

Hope opens it. It's a model of the Fancy Face III. Bo says, "It's to remind you of the voyage we're on together for all the Days Of Our Lives." He kisses her. "How much time do we have before you leave?"

Hope says, "I'm not leaving yet, and Zach is at school. I think we're alone..."

Sami tries to sell Austin on hiring her. "Sami your reputation could hurt my business... just kidding."

"I think we would make a great team," says Sami, "Have you thought about office space?"

"I was thinking of starting the business out of my home."

Sami is delighted, "We could start it here!"

"Have you thought this through," asks Austin, "Lucas – what he might think or say?"

Streets of love... Lucas asks, "What was I saying about Sami?"

"It sounded kind of romantic," says Sophie, "It's nothing embarrassing. Maybe you're not as over her as you think."

Chelsea listens as Billie tells Kate to cool it with the gifts. Kate says she never had a granddaughter before and likes giving things to Chelsea.

"Mom," says Billie, "you gave her a job. She has a roof over her head. I'd say she's doing pretty well. So, please, no cash or clothes until further notice, OK?"

Jennifer will not give up. Abby is glad to hear that. She says, "I know Lexie is our friend, but she isn't a specialist..."

"Jack went to dozens of specialists," says Jennifer, "We need to keep him alive because miracles happen."

"Thanks mom," says Abby. Hug.

Jack comes in and overhears, "Yeah, thanks Mom. Just don't get your hopes up. I really don't think we can find a cure in time."

Pan back from the model boat. Hope tells Bo they have everything. Maybe they will get the chance to sail around the world again one day, "We can't take it for granted, through. Jack and Jennifer have so little time."

"When you think about it, we really don't have a lot of time," says Bo, "I've lost 18 years with Chelsea. How can I make up for not being there during her childhood?"

Hope says, "You can change her entire future just by being there... just by loving her, Bo." Yeah, just be sure to bring your wallet.

Patrick picks up the paper. Chelsea storms out of the house. She's had it with Billie.

"Hard times ahead, huh," says Patrick, "Maybe you should stop acting like a spoiled little brat."

Chelsea is not happy, "Mother or not, she'll learn a lesson she'll never forget." Chelsea leaves. Patrick sighs.

Kate rants, "I got Sami away form Lucas and I'll do the thing thing with Austin."

Billie says, "Your kids have asked you a million times not to interfere with their lives. Now help me interfere with Chelsea's."

Lucas tells Sophie, "It will be a long time before I get over my feelings for Sami, but we will never have a future together."

Sami says, "Lucas has been clear. He doesn’t want to have a future with me." She could help make a future for Austin, though, "Think of it. You would have your own personal assistant 24-7."

"That might be a bit much," says Austin.

Sami turns on the afterburners. "OK," says Austin, "I'll move in, and you're hired."

"Oh Austin thank you! "

Jack doesn't want them to have false hopes, "I'm not going to be around much longer. I'm sorry, I'm not." Group hug. FF.

Chelsea asks Bo, "Do you mind if we keep this our little secret. I don't want Billie to know." Billie steps in and asks, "What's this you don't want Billie to know about?"

Sophie tells Lucas, "You have my number. You can call me." Hot kiss. Sami's jaw hits the floor.

Hope asks, "Why do you think there is something else Jack is not telling you." Jennifer says, "He will try to find some way to soften the blow for us."

Nicole is Trumped.

I got LOL at the vision of manly Bo bumping chests with Patrick and the quip from Chelsea about her family being addicts or prostitutes or both.

As always, the pictures were spot-on.

Couple of questions - What kind of a multi-national business do you start out of your house? And, what about that comment of Jen's that Lexi told her Jack had MONTHS to live.

I thought Lexi told him (months ago) that he only had a few weeks. Perhaps Jen was talking about the amount of time that will pass for us poor, unfortunate viewers not for the Salemites. HAHAHAHA
