The Fuzzy End Of The Lump

EJ and Sami are at the dock staring at each other after EJ's proposal. Sami is dumbfounded. She says she thought they were going to wait. EJ says he has realized something monumental had changed between them, "I love you. I want to spend all the Days Of Our Lives together. I can't express the place you hold in my heart. Please, let me love you. Marry me."

Whimper-blubber-bawl-wah, "EJ, I can't."

Faye sits at her break-table, gets up and heads back to work. She bumps into Rafe. "Hello, Fay. I need to ask a few questions about your daughter."

Nicole gives Marco Baker's address, "Go do whatever you do."

Marco asks, "You want me to take him out? Whack him?"

Nicole asks, "Can't you just put him under house arrest?"

"Do you want me to read him his rights," asks Marco.

"No," says Nicole, "Just keep him there until you hear from me." Somewhat disgusted Marco leaves to carry out his mission. Nicole says, "Sorry, Dick. You shoulda stayed dead." Brady shows up.

Baker gets a call from his old pal, "Charlie, Your timing is impeccable."

Ciara tells Bo the wallets belong to Roman, Abe and Justin. She wonders why Mommy had those wallets. Bo dunno, but you betcha he will find out.

Hopeless prepares for her dastardly deed, "Brady, You are a dead man. I know. I've slept with you."

Twinkie shows up and Bo pawns off Ciara. They leave and Justin calls wanting to talk about Hope.

Hopeless slinks around the DiMera mansion den. She picks up a letter opener as Vivian walks in, "Hope, I know you're angry with me..."

Hopeless interrupts, "No I'm not. Carly tried to poison my mind but it didn't work."

Vivian rants about Carly stabbing Lawrence and says she knows Bo hates her, "You need to stop Carly."

"I know what I need to do," says Hopeless.

Sami bawls. Dejected-rejected EJ thinks he may have misjudged the situation. Sami blithers and tells him she knows she wouldn't have made it through the last few months without him. EJ figures he should have dragged her back to his cave by her hair.

"I care about you," says Sami.

EJ consults the Guy Manual, "If you have asked her to marry you, and her response is 'I care about you,' listen very carefully to the next word out of her mouth. If it is 'but,' you have about as much chance of getting her to the altar as her sister."

Sami continues, "But a part of me still has feelings for Rafe. I can't say yes while that is true. I'm sorry." She runs off. Get the girl some junior high guidance counseling.

Brady asks who the guy was. Nicole says a news station messenger. She cooks up a story why he was there, "What are you doing here?"

"You."

"You really know how to sweep a girl off her feet," says Nicole.

Bo joins Justin at the pub. Justin is concerned about Hope, "It's like she's two different people."

"She's different, all right," says Bo.

Hope says Bo has nothing to fear from Carly. Vivian is delighted to hear that. Hope says she thinks Carly had a case for killing Lawrence, though, "There are a lot of women out there just like Carly. If you don't want to end up like me stop obsessing over dead Lawrence and keep an eye on your live husband." She walks off.

Maggie puts the finishing touches on a cake. Vivian shows up at the door. Maggie asks, "Did something happen to Victor?"

"Yes," says Vivian, "You."

Brady continues to do Nicole. She pushes away, "I'm glad to see you. But this place..."

Brady asks, "Do I look like I'm concerned about the place? I've been thinking and remembering. I want to give it a shot. You are the hottest former grandma I've ever had."

Nicole asks, "So things with you and Arianna are really over?"

"You are the one," says Brady.

"The one," asks Nicole, "What does that mean?"

"It means I'm horny and you're easy." Nicole is stunned.

Rafe sits with Fay and asks for honest answers. Fay begs off. She says she has to get back to work and leaves. Rafe calls Timbo and tells him he found Fay.

EJ chases Sami into the rumpus room. They repeat the last scene pretty much word-for-word with Sami continuing to toss rejection after rejection and EJ whimpering after her like he's a lost puppy and she's a Milk Bone. EJ decides this is a good thing because they are finally being honest with each other, "I'm honestly following you around the room leaving a trail of drool and you're honestly rejecting me. I know Rafe is in your head, but I don't accept it will always be that way."

"I'm in love with him," says Sami, "I'm not going to tell you I'll marry you while I still have feelings for someone else."

"But you love me, too," says EJ. I see it in your eyes."

"My feelings are confused," says Sami. Not as confused as she is, though.

"But we have changed," says Mr. Desperate. Changed yes. Matured no. Sami wonders what about all the horrible things she has done. "I've done horrible things myself," says EJ, "See — we're compatible!" The slobbering mass of desperation begs for a chance.

Rafe uses his advanced algebra skills to guess Fay's locker combination. He sneaks into the locker, looks at the contents and pulls out a big envelope.

Brady says he hopes he didn't come on a little strong. Nicole says, "That's not it. It's just that I can't believe you're here and you're not here because I messed up."

"I'm here because I love you." Nicole dives in for some looovvvveeee...

Hopeless is at her Bo's house, "If at first you do not succeed..." She looks at herself in a mirror, "Not my best look. It'll have to do. She calls Bo and tells him she's at the house and needs to talk to him about Ciara. Bo is on his way. Hopeless gets off the phone, "I'll be waiting. Oh, yes I will." She pulls out her official, special edition Carly Manning butcher knife.

Sami continues to blubber, "I can't marry you until I'm 100% certain. And I'm not." 100% Certain — no. 100% off her unstable rocker — yes.

Bo tells Justin he's off to talk to Hope. He leaves. Justin sighs.

Hopeless calls Baker. She lectures him for calling 911 after her botched imm-Bo-lation. She says she'll be taking off soon and thanks him for his loyalty. He suggests one last drink before she goes. "No time," says Hopeless, "This has to be goodbye." She cuts off the call.

Vivian says she's concerned for Maggie. She scolds her for making a pass at Victor.

Hopeless plants the knife in a cushion. Bo arrives.

Santeen music plays as EJ tries to make Sami take the ring, "I have no use for it. I don't care what you do with it. Put it in a sock."

Sami has a better idea, "Put a sock in it. It's a gorgeous ring."

EJ says he got it in London, "This wasn't an impulse. I love you." He puts the ring in her hand, "You are the love of my life. If you will have me, I will promise to be the best husband and love you more than anything."

Sami turns the waterworks on again, "I don't know what to say."

Johnny watches, "Why she Mommy crying?"

Rafe opens the envelope. It appears to be empty, "Dammit!" Fay comes back as he shuts the locker. Fay asks, "Want a cup of lousy coffee?"

"With an offer like that how can I refuse?" He notices Fay is shaking and asks if she's nervous. Fay says if Nicole is in trouble she is nervous. He tells her Nicole is mixed up with EJ again.

"EJ," repeats Fay, "Nicole always ends up with the fuzzy end of the lump." Rafe asks if she's been in contact with Nicole lately.

Brady certainly is in contact with her...

Johnny the bum finds Baker. He hands him a wad-o-cash, "That filly you bet paid 50 - 1. Maybe now that you're flush, you can come back to the poker table."

"I've been hanging around Hope and Nicole," says Baker, "I'm not flush, I'm flushed. And I'm leaving for good."

Bo says he thinks something is terribly wrong with Hope, "I need to take action. Things can't stay the way they are."

"And they shouldn't," says Hopeless, "Everything that's wrong, you caused it. All of it."

Chloe's absence from the show for the past few days is explained by the fact that she is off studying for her paternity test.

Maggie insists she's not throwing herself at Victor. She says she doesn't know why Victor is hanging around, but insists they are just friends, "You wouldn’t know about that, because you don't have any."

Sami insists she wasn't crying because she was sad. Johnny asks, "Does that mean you're getting married?" Sami and EJ exchange a look.

Fay says she hasn't had significant contact with Nicole. Rafe thinks she's holding out on him. "There is one more thing," says Fay.

Bo asks about Ciara. Hopeless says she just made that up to get him there. "Lovely home... Memories... I could have asked you to come to Victor's but this is the perfect place to put a period at the end of the sentence. It's time for us to say goodbye."

"Break out the champagne," says Bo.

Vivian and Maggie argue. Vivian shouts, "Leave Victor alone or you'll be sorry."

Maggie gives her intelligent, well-considered response, "BITE ME!"

Vivian leaves. Outside, she mumbles, "Poor choice of words. My bite is worse than my bark."

Sami wants to know if EJ and Johnny have talked about the possibility of Sami marrying EJ. EJ turns to Johnny and says Mommy doesn't want to get married right now. "But it would be awesome," says Johnny. EJ assures Johnny even though they aren't getting married, it will be just the same.

Rafe says, "You can tell me. I swear it will be better for Nicole."

"She made me swear not to tell anyone," says Fay. Smooth-talking Rafe convinces her to open up. "Nicky sent me an envelope and told me to guard what was inside with my life."

Rafe asks, "Does that mean you know what's inside."

Well, Nicole certainly knows what's been inside, "Things will be different now." She reminds Brady he said he loved her. Brady thinks things will be good for them from now on.

Marco waits, "Dr. Baker, why are you late."

Baker sits outside and writes a letter to Hope telling her he's had a windfall and is taking off, "Just so you know, I'll always love you."

Bo wants to know what kind of goodbye this is. Hope rants about Carly moving into his bed. "You're scaring me," says Bo, "I don't want you to hurt yourself."

"I won't hurt myself," says Hopeless, she pulls out her Marlena Evans Salem Serial Killer Limited Edition butcher knife, "It's you. On behalf of women everywhere. Goodbye, Bo Brady."

Aww! I just love the way EJ loves his Samantha, he's sooo sweet w her. It just reminds me why I love this couple so much. I just wish she would just open her eyes, which are glued shut with some slime-like substance excreted from grovelling to his "ubermensch-ness". EJ ain't perfect & has hurt his beloved on a number of occasions(i.e. the Sydnapping, the rape, the lies & schemes), but I truly believe that of the 2 rivals, he wholly & unconditionally loves her, much more than super(cave)man (aka "Rafe"). If he "loves" her as he says he does, then why isn't he with her? No, he's more concerned with being right. The Safe seperation may be a plot device but what it really shows is that this relationship isn't that stable, lacks depth & they're incompatible.

Sorry for this long post. I've visited this site many, many times but never commented. So "hello" to everyone & thank you, Prevuze for taking the trouble of writing the day ahead!

My poor Ej...

"EJ figures he should have dragged her back to his cave by her hair"...They did NOT go there, did they??? That's definitely NOT his style! I always thought Rafe was the Neanderthatal-ish hair pulling cave dwelling macho FBI guy, who could lure a girl to his cave just by reciting advanced algebra equations. Oh boy, how can a gal resist such advances?(sarcasm)

Sami continues, 'But a part of me still has feelings for Rafe.'"...Didn't Hope say that to Justin about Bo??? And then she tried to torch him alive! Don't worry EJ, Sami's just waiting for the big kill! Umhhhh...did I really hear you say "European fish are passive?"... You are sooooo in trouble, part deux! :)

"I'm here because I love you. Nicole dives in for some looovvvveeee"...I think I just puked my guts out!!! What's the matter with Brady??? Is he on drugs? He's gone from a semi-attractive x-drug dealer to Nicole the x-porn star!?

"Sami continues to blubber, 'I can't marry you until I'm 100% certain. And I'm not.'"...is 100% certainty even achievable???...I think EJ's definitely got a shot...at least she didn't say she's 99% sure she doesn't want to marry him!

"EJ says he got it in London, 'This wasn't an impulse. I love you.' He puts the ring in her hand, 'You are the love of my life. If you will have me, I will promise to be the best husband and love you more than anything.'"..ok, fine! But just so you know, this doesn't absolve you from doing the dishes or taking out the trash! Got that???

Have a great week-end everyone!

Viv is finally going after Maggie.... that will be interesting. Between Hope/Bo, Brady's Nicole-dance, Caroline's jealousy and Vivian's machinations, Maggie and Victor will have all sorts of reasons to get together

Faye sits at her break-table, gets up and heads back to work. She bumps into Rafe.

I’m confused. On the same day, there was the Sami/Rafe fight and the Sami/EJ almost proposal. It would appear that Scotty beamed up Rafe to quickly get him to Cleveland during the Sami/EJ real proposal. Then again, Sami is wearing a different outfit. Does that mean it’s a different day? I may just have to watch those scenes again – go ahead, twist my arm – to determine if EJ is wearing the same suit. By the way, who goes fishing in a suit? Just askin’

Nicole asks, "Can't you just put him under house arrest?"

"Do you want me to read him his rights," asks Marco.

Lucky Nicole. Marco turns out to be a smart a@@.

Ciara tells Bo the wallets belong to Roman, Abe and Justin.

…and just how does she know that? Did she check out the picture IDs? Ciara hardly seems old enough to read anything that might have been in the wallets.

"The one," asks Nicole, "What does that mean?"

"It means I'm horny and you're easy."

Boy oh boy – I could see that one coming. LOL!!! I love it when the DOOL writers play straight man/woman for Prevuze!

"My feelings are confused," says Sami. Not as confused as she is, though.

"But we have changed," says Mr. Desperate. Changed yes. Matured no."

EJ chasing Sami is just as pathetic as Sami chasing Rafe. Bleh!

"I'm here because I love you." Nicole dives in for some looovvvveeee...

It sure doesn’t take Brady long to fall in and out of sex – I mean love – with a woman. Arianna ought to be glad she’s heading for parts unknown.

"Not my best look. It'll have to do.”

I finally caught a nanosecond of Jersey Shores. Trust me. That was plenty. Although my eyes need a good scrubbing, I have decided that Hopeless stole her hair from Snooki.

Chloe's absence from the show for the past few days is explained by the fact that she is off studying for her paternity test.

Prevuze you are tooooooo much. Perhaps Chloe just needs a copy of Cliffs Notes.

"I won't hurt myself," says Hopeless, she pulls out her Marlena Evans Salem Serial Killer Limited Edition butcher knife, "It's you. On behalf of women everywhere. Goodbye, Bo Brady."

We couldn’t get that lucky.

Great photos Prevuze and Bulldog, and once again, TGIF and TGFP!!!!!!

Oh Sami, you are just... dumb as a rock arent you? I almost want you with Rafe so you can both be idiots together and I can FF all of your scenes.

EJ... oh EJ. Desperation does not look good on you. If you would have waited it out, you would have all of this in due time.

I blame horrific writing. This is just lazy. Way to completely ruin a storyline that took months to escalate and blow it in a few days.

Ummm, kind of excited over the prospect of Chloe and Phillip again. I always liked them together. Or Chloe and Brady! Melanie's lack of fully opening her mouth when she talks drives me insane.

Hopeless.... pulling a Fight Club, even in the end!

Have a great weekend all!

Leslie - If you mentioned Cleveland thinking that's where Fay is I think I remember from when she had a storyline with Abe that the sleazy burger joint she works in is on the other side of Salem. "On the other side of the tracks" as they say. Because Pard and Abe were always going over there to talk to her. I could be wrong, tho.

Rafe breaks yet another law by breaking into Fay's locker. How conveeeeenient he just happened to hit the right combination.

They should've had a really interesting CATFIGHT! scene with Maggie smooshing her newly frosted cake into Vivian's face. Now that would've been good.

Brady Brady sure switches emotions quickly doesn't he? How deep was his love for Arianna, whom he was so desperate to marry only a few months ago?

Question: when Hopeless stabbed Bo did he give her the hairy eyeball look again? HAHAHAHA I thought of that through yesterday's whole hypnosis scene. I LOL over "It's time for us to say goodbye." "Break out the champagne," says Bo., the Marlena Evans and Carly Manning memorial knives and the Stef picture.

Thanks, Prevuze, and happy Friday everyone! :D

Know what I think? This entire episode is one big fantasy.

I mean, EJ groveling after Sami?

Maggie actually telling someone to "Bite me"?

Hope pulling the Marlena Evans Salem Serial Killer Limited Edition butcher knife on Bo, finally bringing an end to this ridiculous "who's the mugger" storyline?

Brady showing up at Nicole's out of the blue and declaring his undying love?

Rafe being transported to Cleveland & breaking into a locker? (Well, maybe I can believe that one.)

Regardless of the stupidity of the episode, loved the prevuisms and pictures (Roman the cool tool - lolol).

I hope to log onto Prevuze on Monday and find this episode never really happened. Maybe Henderson will wake up, take a shower and say it was all his dream.

Thanks Prevuze. Have a great weekend everyone.

I guess its a good thing that Sami was so adamant about being 100% sure that when she agrees she will want him and only him. Then when he or she does propose there will be no denying it. Sami is in love with EJ.

I have been a DOOL fan since 1970 and if it weren't for Ejami I would not still be watching this show. Just think how much the show's ratings would go up if the writers would let Sami and EJ finally get together. There are so many storylines that could be written with them as a couple. Sami belongs with EJ who accepts her just as she is, and the chemistry is...well, need I say more. If it's true what K. Corday said about Safe reuniting after Labor Day, couldn't the writers at least let Ejami get together till then and give their fans, bittersweet as it would be, something to remeber, sort of like the memories we have of when Sami and EJ conceived Sydney?

Thanks, Prevuze, for keeping us updated and for letting me express my opinion.

I read Prevuze every day but usually don't post, so here goes nothing...

First off, I can't really believe that Nicole would use one of the Dimera thugs to do her dirty work for her, knowing that he's loyal to Stefano and EJ. Does she really think that if either one of them asked him what Nicole wanted him to do, he wouldn't tell?

Second, who in the world came up with the idea that all of a sudden Brady just completely forgot about Arianna and now wants Nicole? The storyline isn't even wrapped up yet with Ari on trial but now Brady's moved on to Nicole. That one makes no sense to me and the people here had it right when they called the writing staff lazy.

Third, I'm still trying to process the idea of a pill that makes a woman crazy at night and want to kill her (kind of) ex-husband but it doesn't have the effect on men. I guess Salem must be just outside of the FDA's jurisdiction or something because I can’t believe that a physician would prescribe something like that and that it would be legal to begin with. The entire storyline between Bo/Hope/Carly is ridiculous and a joke. What a way to ruin the only supercouple left in Salem!

Fourth, they have an intelligent and mature woman like Maggie on the show, who is supposed to be the new matriarch of the bunch and they have her wrapped up with such childish behavior as fighting with Vivian and Caroline over Victor? Caroline was always supposed to be the great love of his life and now all of a sudden Maggie’s been thrown in there and they’re acting like they’ve been friends for decades when I’ve never even seen the two in the same scene together in the 26 years I’ve been watching Days? Granted, I love the idea of giving the veterans a story and the Maggie/Victor pairing is interesting, but just throwing them together and trying to create chemistry was just sloppy and there was no real buildup to the possible pairing. Also, she’s been with Mickey for decades now (with the exception of the Bonnie joke) so I can’t see her just jumping on the Victor bandwagon within months.

Finally, what in the world are they doing with Sami and EJ? EJ has always been the strong independent type and I really can't see him chasing after a woman BEGGING her to marry him, even Sami. What happened to his manipulative side and playing the hero to get Sami to notice him? Sami has always searched for the hero (a la Rafe the algebra whiz) and now she has one right in front of her with EJ and is too blind to see it? Again, Sami has turned into a desperate teenager again chasing after Austin, er Brandon, er Lucas, er Rafe. Wake up writers and give that girl a mature storyline already. She's getting too old to play the same angsty girl that she was 15 years ago! Marry EJ and have a real life and forget all about Agent ZERO!

I hope that wasn’t too long and apologize for the rant. I’ll save Daniel/Chloe mess for another day.

As per Maggie - that's kinda the point. She's not jumping for Victor. She's developing a friendship with someone who's actually quite "safe" in her world and is pretty oblivious to how much she is slowly coming to depend on him. The fact that Viv and Caroline see it a mile away is the interesting point. I don't even think Victor is fully aware.

Having watched the lame-ass excuse that was Mickey & Maggie for far too long, I'm glad she's finally getting a friend who can at least be a real companion. It doesn't really matter that they haven't had anything to do with each other before. They've known each other for 25 years and they share so many people in common that it's not a huge leap to believe they've interacted occasionally off screen.

Here here anon at 12:04, i totally agree that Victor/Maggie is a great pair-up. Caroline had her chance with Victor after OMB died, but she said no so let Victor get a little somethin'-somethin'?

just another great line among the many that has me hooked on prevuze!
