A Single Engine Plane, A Kayak And Llamas

Vivian and Victor are in Brady's hospital room. Arianna comes in and kisses him. She kisses Brady too and tells him how worried she is. She mentions being at the Kiriakis mansion. Victor and Vivian are confused about that and both say they weren't aware she was there. Nicole overhears and figures that means Arianna doesn't have an alibi.

Hope wakes up and worries that she overslept. She gets up and sees pile of her cosmetics strewn all over the floor.

Stefano is on the phone, "Forget about Hernandez. What about Anna — is she being a good girl? Good."

Stefano hangs up as Kate walks in, "Were you just talking about Anna DiMera?"

Anna is in her room in the Caribbean wishing Tony were there to share the tropical paradise with her. A voice interrupts her train of thought, "Excuse me. I think you're in the wrong roo...

Anna looks up, "OMG! Calliope?" Calliope giggles.

Sami and EJ come into the pub bickering. They get cutesy with each other and Sami says she isn't sure EJ should be so active after being mugged. EJ says, "I'm just glad to be out and about and wearing pants. Let me remind you I've been in the hospital wearing a dress with a big open slit down the back."

Someone in the audience yells, "Model it for us!"

EJ goes upstairs to get the kids. Sami pours coffee as Roman comes in and tells her about Brady's mugging. He asks about EJ and Sami tells him he's upstairs. "So you picked him up," asks Roman, "Stefano couldn't have handled that detail?"

"It was easier for me," says Sami, "since I'm... going to be living there now." Roman gives her his 'father knows best' scowl.

Calliope and Anna hug and talk about old times. Calliope says Anna looks like she's hiding out form something or someone.

Stefano tells Kate he covers his bases. Kate decides Anna is none of her business anyway. Translation: the only thing Kate really thinks is none of her business is happening in another galaxy. And she's really not sure about that.

Daddy lectures Sami for moving into the DiMera mansion, "And Will is already there. I do swear the DiMeras are putting something in the water. And what about Rafe?"

"I saw him. We argued. It's over. Now I need a new boyfriend du jour."

Roman asks, "But does this mean there is a future for you and EJ?"

Sami flashes back to the kiss, "Yeah, maybe there is." EJ overhears and smiles.

Arianna insists she was at the mansion. Nicole stands outside and listens, "Not if I have anything to say about it."

Vivian is disgusted with what the mugger did to Brady, "He was branded like a steer."

"A bull," growls Victor.

"True," says Vivian, "There is a lot of that on this show."

Hope lectures Ciara for playing with her makeup. Ciara denies and says mommy is the one who put it all over the floor.

Sami tells Roman she saw Rafe yesterday and they fought. "I see," says Roman, "But EJ is nothing but the devil incarnate."

Roman starts to remind Sami what happened the last time she moved in. EJ interrupts, "It was a complete disaster."

"It is what it is," says the ever-articulate Roman, "I'll keep an eye on the situation." He leaves.

EJ tells Sami the kids are both sleeping. Sami hands him his coffee and goes upstairs to be with them. The only time Sami can stand being around her kids is when they are unconscious.

Anna and Calliope talk about Tony. Anna tells her that's why she came to such a remote place — to get away from everything so she could think things through. "It's sure remote," says Calliope, "We had to take a single engine plane, a kayak and llamas." Anna wonders why Calliope came to such a remote place.

Ciara asks mommy if she believes her. Of course mommy does. Hope hugs and sends her away. Roman calls and tells her about Brady's mugging, "It looks like our mugger friend is targeting people we know." How do you figure these things out, Sherlock?

Victor and Vivian leave. Victor says he's going to the station to talk to Roman about the case.

Sami and EJ have arrived at the DiMera mansion with the brood. The ones that aren't in China, anyway. Sami asks where Will is. Kate tells her Will didn't want to be there when she moved in. Kate and Sami take the kids upstairs. Stefano closes the door and asks how EJ is feeling. "Better," says EJ, "Samantha told me Brady got mugged."

Stefano chuckles, "Really? Perhaps we should join forces with the Kiriakis family and take care of the mugger our way. So... Are you happy with Samantha in the house and back in your life?"

"I kept up my part of the bargain," says EJ, "So you'd better make sure nobody finds out where Anna is." Stefano says that won't be a problem.

Calliope says she thinks Anna is a bit on edge. She wonders if she's hiding from something, "We're old friends you can tell me."

Anna has a Flashback to a time when Calliope was on her case about getting together with Tony, "We did have a lot of fun back then. If I'm hiding, it's from my memories." She asks again why Calliope is there, besides for the hot stone massage

"Oh, boy," says Calliope, "Eugene and I are having problem with the IRS and we're looking for a country with no extradition."

Anna asks, "Where is Eugene?"

"Deep sea fishing," says Calliope, "Probably trying to get a loan from a marlin. So I have some time and we can chat." Anna doesn't think that's a good idea and tells Calliope she should leave.

Vivian offers to go to the board meeting while Victor goes to the cop-shop.

Nicole finds Arianna and demands an apology. Arianna refuses and walks off. Nicole goes into Brady's room. He thanks her for getting him to the hospital. Nicole says, "You don't have to thank me." Translation: You have to thank me.

Kate tires to play nice, but Sami won't have it. Kate says she's concerned about the situation with Will and the fact that Sami followed him to the DiMera mansion. Sami vows to get through to Will.

Calliope thinks Anna is kicking her out. Anna says she just needs time to get past all her issues, "After Tony was gone, I did some things that... you understand don't you?"

Calliope asks, "Are you in trouble?"

EJ reminds Stefano Rafe is still trying to find Anna. EJ worries, "If he does I will no longer be part of Samantha's life." Stefano reassures him.

Sami tells Kate to stay out of her business with Will. Kate says Will wants to live his own life and is tired of trying to keep Sami together. Sami takes offense at that. Kate reminds her, "You've made one disaster after another and Will has always (say it with her) been there for you."

Stefano and EJ interrupt the gals and ask in unison, "What's going on?"

Brady says he hasn't exactly been easy on Nicole lately. Nicole agrees, "I'm not a monster. Last night there was no way I was going to turn my back on you." Brady apologizes for not realizing she is still his friend. Let's not forget, after the mugging, half of Brady's brain is missing.

Victor finds Roman at the station and asks if he's found the mugger. Roman says he's working on it, "I have my best detective on the case."

Hope walks up, "That would be me." Victor figures since all the victims have been powerful Salem males, with Hope on the case, he'd better reserve a hospital bed for himself.

Anna says she's not in trouble. Calliope presses and Anna says she did something reckless that turned out differently than expected. She thinks she's in the island paradise to stay.

Brady says Nicole doesn't make it easy to be friends. She says she still has feelings for him, "Engaged or not, I will always have your back." He tells her she can interview him if she wants.

"No," says Nicole, "I know where to draw the line."

Arianna overhears, "Could've fooled me."

Roman tells Victor to back off and asks if he knows anything about the muggings. Victor doesn't. He leaves. Roman shows Hope the mark the perp left on Brady's chest. Hope looks at it and gasps, "I know what this is."

"How?"

"It bears an uncanny resemblance to my latest line of jewelry."

Kate says she was filling Sami in on the situation with Will. Stefano suggests he and Kate go for a walk, to give Sami and EJ some privacy. They leave.

EJ asks what really happened. Sami says, "Kate was doing everything possible to make me crazy."

"I'm glad she wasn't doing much, then," says EJ. He insists Sami can make this work and wonders if she's at the mansion for more than the kids, "Are you here for me?"

Hope says the mark is a Celtic symbol she saw in Ireland, "The circles stand for land, sea and sky or three Celtic deities, one of which is Bridgette, who represents female empowerment." Roman wonders if that means the mugger could be a woman, even though EJ says he saw a man. Hope heads for the hospital to interview Brady.

Arianna says there are orders at the TV station not to cover Brady's mugging. Nicole figures those orders came directly from Victor. Since there is no interview, Arianna says she's taking the afternoon of and staying with Brady. Nicole leaves. Outside, she watches as Arianna gives him flowers and kisses him, "I wish I could just wipe that smirk off her face." Vivian watches as Arianna watches.

Calliope says she wishes she and Eugene could stay there but Uncle Sam probably won't let them. Anna starts to leave for her massage.

Calliope asks, "Will I see you later?"

"Yes," says Anna, "Unless my plans change." Calliope leaves.

Arianna tells Brady she will be by his side. She mentions getting married and Brady kisses her. Hope breaks it up. Arianna leaves so Hope can grill him. Hope shows him the Celtic symbol. Brady compares it to his brand.

Sami says EJ is one of the reasons she is staying there. EJ wonders if it's just about convenience. Sami starts to do a slow boil over Kate, "Every time we're alone together we'll get into it because of her, so I don't think this is going to work." Sami changes her mind even faster than she changes boyfriends.

Vivian "runs into" Arianna and says if Brady needs anything to let her know, "Just a little advice... I'd keep my eyes on him. I think Nicole might be looking for an opportunity."

Nicole is on the phone talking to the station about her next assignment, "Illegal underground gambling — that's something I can get behind. There have to be some nut jobs involved in that." If illegal gambling was the exclusive playground of nut jobs, everyone in Salem would be involved.

Stefano and Kate sit on the park bench. He tells her to get along with Sami. She's upset he invited Sami to live in the mansion without consulting her. Stefano reminds her his son is back in his life, "And he's in love with Samantha."

Kate practically hurls, "You've got to be kidding."

"Maybe he thinks she's changed," says Stefano.

"She's using him just like she used Lucas and every man she's been involved with," says Kate.

"She's not going anywhere," says Stefano, "Trust me."

Sami has decided to leave. EJ tries to convince her to stay. He insists the two of them can deal with Kate.

"This isn't a catfight," says Sami, "That would be an insult to cats everywhere. She's tried to frame me for murder."

Calliope rants, "I did it. I made contact, big shot, and for the record, I don't like it... not one bit." She looks up at Mr. Bigshot. Rafe rolls his eyes, squinches his cheek, blinks and almost shows an emotion.
