DOOL – 11,000; DOW – In The Toilet

Well, This week DOOL will be celebrating it's 11,000th episode, which we will recap on Monday and will air on Tuesday.

Big whoop.

It really leads one to introspection, doesn't it. I mean, you start thinking things like... I'm so old I can remember when the DOW level was higher than the number of DOOL episodes.

Oh, waitaminute... that was just a few months ago.

So the DOW is in the toilet and DOOL just keeps on keepin' on.

Prevuze

Try to have a good weekend in spite of this revolting development.

The DOW is in the toilet and so is DOOL. Who would have ever thunk that the DOW would sink to DOOL-level?

prevuze, i had heard that all the networks were pre-emting tursday's soaps for the inauguration. part of me wants to say i hope you get the feed tomorrow, but this show is a hot mess right now, so a day off is almost like a relief.

Prevuze you are all knowing. Is inauguration day gonna be a national holiday or a religious holiday?? After all, Obama is the messiah, is he not??

All things considered, I would rather have the DOW back at 11,000 and DOOL back at about show 5,000 when it was good.

Happy Saturday all you Prevuzers! I saw that NBC announced that Days will be pre-empted on Tuesday due to the innauguration coverage. BOOOO! As low as DOOL has sunk, I still think I'd rather see the show on tuesday rather than Obama's innaugural coverage. I'm a bit familiar with the comming of the Messiah, and I don't think the second comming is supposed to be a happy event, acording to the latest St. James's bible I borrowed on my last stay at the Holiday Inn. The DOW has been flushed down the toilet and has landed in my septic tank...at least that's the feeling I got this morning when I opened the mail to view the latest statement of my 401K plan! Talk about heart attack in an envelope!!!

Obama? I thought all this hoopla was for Abe's inauguration.

"I thought all this hoopla was for Abe's inauguration." Carver or Lincoln? After all, isn't Obama doing a Lincoln-themed inauguration? HAHAHA

I would think some of the economy of Salem would be thriving. Liquor stores must struggle to keep booze in stock and a few eating places like the pub and Chez Rouge get regular use. Of course that could be outweighed by the funeral industry since nobody ever really needs one. And there are only four doctors and two lawyers who are so great they have those areas covered.

Whenever the next issue of Prevuze is I'll be looking forward to it! Happy holiday weekend all.

Heh. I forgot Abe was the mayor.

Outside of 'cop', 'doctor', etc, I have no idea who's position is what. Commissioner, chief of staff, CEO...???

lol

Mike & Betyar -- I'm with you. Although CNN managed to show something even more boring than DOOL Saturday night. A train was sitting in a station doing nothing for at least 30 minutes and that was being shown on CNN in a NC SPORTS bar (while the Hurricanes and Carolina played as well). Apparently, Obama's train would be pulling in soona and that was what the network was waiting on. Amazing.

I'm surprised they haven't called for a national day of adoration on the day of inaugaration. Will they be throwing down palm leaves as he approaches the reviewing stands? Anyway, found it interesting the other day that Dr. Baker was able to tell Mia's baby was a girl without even looking at the ultrasound screen. He was looking over the swollen tummy and at Nicole when he announced the baby's sex.

I want to see Obama and Oprah actually accomplish something before I want to treat them like the second coming.

The economy's in the crapper and $100 MILLION is being spent on a party? And those who complained about the previous administration's $40 MILLION dollar waste aren't saying a word now?

Politics, gotta love'm, just like ya gotta love DAYS.

I don't care who the president is, I still think it's a crying shame that they put on such an expensive show when they take office. Think of the starving children and old people in this country. People are in debt so bad they're losing their homes and everything they worked for all their lives and we're forced to look at the president and his family in all their finery dancing and smiling among the champagne and caviar amid all the people dressed in expensive clothes and jewelry.
It just doesn't make sense. Let him have the same pagentry as the Mayors. He can take the oath of office on the back of a flat bed truck and get a barbecue in his honor that the local Moose lodge and then get his butt in the office and get to work. Think of the money saved. The American people would have no problem with that at all. If we see he knows how to cut costs on himself, then, we'll learn from his example. Rather they are showing this big expensive needless hoopla and then he thinks he can stand up and tell us how to cut corners and sacrifice?
C'mon.
