Champagne And Caviar - We'll Clean Up The Blood Later

Salem Hospital: fighting every day to keep the Salem Morgue in business... Chelsea comes in to see Grandpa. She talks. He vegetates. He's probably faking it and hoping she'll just go away. She says she has noticed some tension between Victor and Bo. She rambles on as Daniel comes into the room. Daniel throws a fit and tells her that any show of emotion could push Victor into a death-spiral.

Hope the trooper tells Bo she doesn't mind pulling an extra shift tonight, "I'm still peeved at you for not telling me what's on your mind, even though that would be a short conversation."

Bo gets a call and gasps. He hangs up, "Phillip's been shot!" The caped crusaders grab their capes and head for the DiMera mansion.

Paramedics work on Phillip as Morgan goes off the scale. Kate comes in and falls apart. Roman immediately steps in to comfort her. Morgan blithers. Sobbing and blithering...

...Blithering and sobbing. Bo and Hope rush in. They wheel Phillip out. Hope stops Morgan from rushing out with them then takes her off. Roman tells John he knows it would have benefited him to get rid of Phillip so he might've set this whole thing up.

Daniel lectures the brat, "You were doing exactly what I told you not to do. No ice cream for you, little girl, and you're headed for a major time out."

Chelsea says, "Look, if there is something going on between my dad and my grandfather, I just think..."

Daniel interrupts, "No, if there is, it's none of your business. You don't need to concern yourself with grownup things." Chelsea insists she's just trying to help. Daniel knows that, but there is another reason he doesn't want her involved. Her friend's father has gone missing. Daniel knows Victor's world can be dangerous. He's just trying to keep her safe. Chelsea doesn't like him ordering her around and he doesn't like her disobeying him. Naughty little girl. Daniel gets a call. Chelsea huffs.

EJ and John describe what happened. Roman thinks the new John may have set this up. John gives us a summary, "Morgan came in here upset, reached in her purse, Eddie thought she was reaching for a gun, he pulled his out and fired, Phillip dove in front of Morgan and took the bullet. End of story."

A gal in the audience yells, "Don't we wish!"

Roman asks, "There is no evidence Paul is dead, is there?"

"Only what's on that crazy Sgt. Pepper's album," says John.

John starts to ramble but clams up on the advice of his lawyer. He gets a sly smile on his face and asks EJ if he can press charges against Morgan. EJ thinks he would have a good case. John gets enthusiastic, "Let's do that!" He turns to Roman, "Unless you don't want that to happen and decide this was just a unfortunate accident." Roman backs off and takes Eddie to check his gun permits. On the way out John thanks Eddie for his help.

They leave and John tells EJ, "Nice work." He offers drinks. Ava accepts. EJ says John has to tell him everything.

Morgan continues her tirade at the SPD. Hope promises they will find out about her father. She says they aren't sure he is dead, "We just have to keep praying he isn't, because prayer is a lot more effective than the SPD."

Morgan is adamant, "My father is dead and John killed him."

Bo flashes back to finding the tape recorder. Bo stares. Morgan tells them about stories Paul used to tell about people trying to smuggle things into customs. Hope wonders if Paul was threatened by anyone but John. Morgan whines, "He told me to stay away from someone who isn't dangerous... Phillip."

Kate paces and wonders why they haven't told them something. Chelsea advises her not to panic. Daniel interrupts. He says Phillip is in recovery, "The bullet ruptured his abdominal aorta. He lost a lot of blood. We couldn't give him a transfusion because his type is rare and we are out of it."

Kate steps up to the plate, "I'll donate."

"You aren't compatible," says Daniel, "But we've contacted Blood R Us." Daniel asks Chelsea to go get Kate some water. Gunga Din scoots off.

Kate tells Daniel things are getting to be too much what with everything that's going on with Lucas, Phillip and Victor. We have a granny hug.

EJ says he isn't a fan of surprises. John says there won't be any. Redeemed, compassionate Ava wishes they could get Morgan to believe them. She says she's been through what Morgan is going through. EJ tells her she has her own affairs to worry about. He reminds them Ava has a trial coming up, "And you, John... I'm afraid the spotlight is on you for what happened at the docks and even this incident here today."

"Shine the spotlight on someone else," drones John.

EJ gets a call from the DA. John leaves EJ and Ava to talk. EJ gets off the phone, says there is a new development and the DA is sending a fax.

EJ gets the fax and says it just confirms things. John comes back in and EJ shows it to him. "Extradition denied!"

"And," says John, "a change of venue has been approved. Where, oh where in the world do you suppose the new venue will be? Champagne and Caviar ― We'll clean the blood up later!" John reads on and announces the last paragraph says Judge Fitzpatrick will be the presiding judge, "Ava, you'll be in good hands. And after I'm done with you, Judge Fitzpatrick will take care of you, too."

Bo reports the prognosis on Phillip is good, "Most of his fake body parts were only dented." Bo and Hope grill Morgan about Phillip. Morgan thinks Phillip is a good guy. She points out he took a bullet for her. They offer Morgan a ride home, but she wants to go to the hospital. Bo and Hope can drive her home, but they can't drive her to the hospital, so Morgan calls Chelsea for a ride. Chelsea doesn't think Kate will want Morgan there, but agrees to pick her up.

Morgan and Hope go out and she asks Morgan to write down everything that happened. Back in the office Hope asks why the case is eating at Bo. Bo clams up. Hope threatens, "Either you tell me or I'm going to Abe and tell him you're withholding information."

Kate flashes back to destroying the tape. She shudders and walks away from Victor's window. She asks Daniel if she can go in and sit with him. Daniel is reluctant but OK's it.

Inside, Kate sits by Victor and says she wishes he hadn't given Phillip so much responsibility at Titan. He wanted to make Victor proud and that's why he got involved. As Kate talks, the beeping ramps up.

"Something terrible has happened," says Kate.

Beep-beep-beepety-beepety-beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep.

Kate can out-talk any machine, "Phillip was trying to protect Paul's daughter when one of Ava's men shot him."

Beep-a-paloosa!

Kate runs out screaming for help.

John pours, "Almost a thousand buckskins for unfertilized eggs and champagne." Ava senses something is going on about the judge. She wants to know what they know that she doesn't. John says it's just that they know all about Fitz' reputation for 'fairness.' EJ leaves. John toasts a fair decision. Ava toasts John and says she knows something is going on with the judge. "The less you know, the better," says John.

"Well, things ought to be pretty good then," says Ava, "I still want to thank you properly." Ava moves in. John dislocates a jaw opening his mouth.

Daniel yells, "GIVE HIM 200 JOULES!"

ZAP!

Victor screams and goes into the fetal position. "NO," shouts Daniel, "I said 200 joules, not the family jewels!"

"CLEAR!" ZAP! No response. "CLEAR!" ZAP! No response.

Bo tells Hope she can't go to Abe. He wants her to stop pushing.

Daniel comes out and tells Kate, "Victor is back. And we saved him the cost of a vasectomy. I want to know what went on in that room." Kate stammers. Daniel presses. He beats himself up for letting her in Victor's room in the first place. She asks about Phillip and Daniel says he is stable. They found a donor. Daniel vows not to give up on Victor or Phillip.

Daniel comes out of Victor's room and bumps into Bo trying to get in. Daniel stops him from going in. Bo asks about Phillip. Daniel thinks he will be OK.

Ava asks about John and Judge Fitzpatrick, "Has the judge been dirty a long time?"

"I don't know about that," says John, "but she's been on the take for a while. Let's just say she knows how to thank someone for a generous campaign contribution. Ava wishes there was some way she could show John how much she appreciates what he has done. Appreciative Ava moves in.

Bo wants to talk to Phillip ASAP. Kate tells him he should be questioning John. Chelsea has arrived back from bringing Morgan to the hospital and scraping the pedestrians off her front grill after the trip. She tries to calm everyone down. Daniel says this has been a setback for Victor, "Both he and Phillip are in for a long night."

Bo walks off and Hope finds him. He fills her in on Victor and Phillip. She apologizes for pushing too hard. She says she just wants to help. Bo appreciates that but says he has to do this on his own.

Bo stares at Phillip through the blinds and remembers Phillip visiting him in the hospital. Bo walks into his room. Phillip vegetates. Bo sits beside him, "I'm sorry, bro. Sorry I didn't believe you and was so rough on you. I was scared you'd done something that couldn't be undone. You took a bullet. John might as well have shot you himself. Hang in there. I'll take care of this."

Morgan comes in and asks, "How is he?"

"Unconscious," says Bo. Nothing... I mean nothing slips by Bo.

Bo leaves and Morgan sits down beside Phillip, "You saved my life. You didn't even think twice about taking that bullet. I don't know what to say but thank you. That's not enough, but maybe when you get out of here I can make it up to you and show you how much you mean to me. You saved my life and I love you for that."

John... Ava... afterglow... Ava starts smothering him with kisses. "If you keep this up," says John, "you'll just have to thank me again. You give great... thanks." Round two starts, but John stops.

"What's wrong," asks Ava.

"Nothing."

"That's not true," says Ava, "But I won't ask if you don't want to tell. I have a 'don't ask don't tell' policy."

"Morgan lost control," says John, "If she would have had a weapon she would have tried to kill me. She's got a lot of backbone confronting me. That bothers me. If she could do that without knowing anything think what she would do if she really knew what happened to her father."

I just can't help cringing at Daniel and Chelsea. He sounds so much like a father lecturing his immature daughter during their conversation. And in the clips yesterday, her body language came off like a snotty, disobedient teenager talking back to a parent.

Good for Chelsea making it known to Daniel that she doesn't like being ordered around. LOL about the granny hug

"I'm still peeved at you for not telling me what's on your mind, even though that would be a short conversation."

The first dictionary definition of the word “airhead” is Bo Brady.

Chelsea doesn't like him ordering her around and he doesn't like her disobeying him. Naughty little girl.

If this weren’t DOOL, this conversation could very well be the set up for a spanking.  I’m sure Dr. Dan the pervert man would be, ahem, up for that.

Roman asks, "There is no evidence Paul is dead, is there?"

"Only what's on that crazy Sgt. Pepper's album," says John.

Prevuze could have scored 1,000 point under the category “Pop Culture References”.  Unfortunately, it was not in the form of a question.

It’s hard to believe that Kate is stupid enough to rile up poor semi-comatose Victor.  It just gives the sainted Dr. Feelgood the opportunity to run back and forth saving both the father and the son.  Now let’s throw in some real drama…Phillip has a rare blood type and the blood bank is empty.  Good grief!!

Very funny, Bulldog!!  Chelsea didn’t get her Happy Meal…boo hoo.  Prevuze again gives the faithful another especially snarky recap.  Applecheeks, good news…let me rephrase that…I have news.  I can now report that my DVR has condescended to record the NBC feed of DOOL.  Since EJ, sigh, was in one of the missing episodes, I was able to get my fix by going through SoapNet.  I have no idea what that means.  DOOL is just as lame on either channel.

Do we see John and Ava in bed? Or just in that same living room? Would you let us know? Thanks-- and thanks for your AWESOME previews too!

It's couch sex. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't Sami and Lucas. John takes his shirt off just to prove which one has the better set of boobs.

Thank you so much...still gnarly, but at least not on a bed!

I so hope this is the end of the 'weak coffee' pain...

Salem Hospital: fighting every day to keep the Salem Morgue in business...

With this as an opening sentence you just know it’s going to be a kick-ass Prevuze! LOL

The caped crusaders grab their capes and head for the DiMera mansion.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Ciara stops playing with the caustic bathroom cleaners and decides to see what happens when you poke your finger into that open light socket.

Roman asks, "There is no evidence Paul is dead, is there?" "Only what's on that crazy Sgt. Pepper's album," says John.

WHAM! DOOL walked right into that one again, didn’t it? HAHAHA

Bo reports the prognosis on Phillip is good, "Most of his fake body parts were only dented."

Guess the Salem Morgue lost out on this one.

Beep-a-paloosa!

But might just gain one anyway. Is Kate TRYING to kill Victor off?

Victor screams and goes into the fetal position. "NO," shouts Daniel, "I said 200 joules, not the family jewels!"

Criminey! That was a mouthful of expensive Starbucks latte I just sprayed over that one! When will I ever learn?

And on Prevuze recent comment:
I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't Sami and Lucas. John takes his shirt off just to prove which one has the better set of boobs.

Who? John vs Ava or John vs Lucas?? Inquiring minds....

A Friday Prevuze chock full o' chewy delights this morning. Thanks!

So, how can Phillip have a rare blood type and his mother not know it? He's the bionic man for crying out loud and has presumably had more surgeries than anyone else on the planet. DOOL puts the duh in dumb.
And as far as Dansea.....just ewwww. I was never a fan of this couple and it had nothing to do with age, and everything to do witht he complete lack of chemistry between the actors. If Chelsea is going to evolve into a leading character then she really needs to be with someone else.
Great job prevuze. Again another lame show made entertaining by your wit.

The old Chelsea would have been more upset with Daniel for the way he's talking to her...I can't believe the way Dena has ruined her!

How dense would a doctor have to be to let anyone go into Vic's room who might possibly say something to upset him? AND WHAT NINCOMPOOP WOULD GO IN THERE AND SAY IT? I agree with you, Applecheeks, it's almost like Kate did that deliberately.

In the last scene they're trying to make it look like Jawn had something to do with Paul and we've all figured out it was Ava so they can get her off the show.

Loved the tablecloth, Evilgenius. And Bo and the smoking gun. HAHHAHA

TGIP! :D

Wow! Risque!!!!!

And I have to say, what John says at the end of the episode kind of gave me chills. And Days doesn't do that very often...

Happy Friday Prevuze! Happy Friday everyone!!

At least we know HOW Ava thanked him now. lol

If DOOL intends to leave John as he is now, then as the main villain, he could get away with removing Paul. Drake said that the other character of John was used up he had played him so long, so I suppose it's possible they could leave him as new John. After all, he is a completely different type person and it would give Drake a totally new character to develop with a lot of new girlfriends he could vacuum out their throats with his mouth. lol Now if they would just let Marlena move on too. What desperate woman hangs onto a man who doesn't want her anymore, like she is doing John? I say, let her get it going with Roman again.

Just a thought about why Kate would tell Victor that Phillip had been shot. She figured that if Victor dies that Phillip would have been his heir. With both of them dead, Kate would have collected a lot of money as Phillip's Mother or closest living relative. No, I wouldn't put it past her at all to have done it on purpose. She is a greedy bwitch, to say the least.

Bulldog, according to the spoilers, Jawn has Paul hidden in the basement of the mansion. How goofy is that?

I hope Chelsea comes to her senses and sees Daniel for what he really is soon. She is just not the type to take orders from him like he is barking out to her and everyone else for that matter. And I hope she catches him and Kate doing the deed. I don't think for a minute it has stopped between Kate and Daniel. He probably wouldn't drop Kate until he is actually having sex with Chelsea.

John's remark about Ava giving great.... was surprisingly realistic. The censors are letting more risque remarks get by on tv than ever before. Strange how none of these people ever worry about anyone coming in on them during a sexual encounter of any type huh? At least not until it's over. lol

9:20 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

With that remark about Phillip's blood match being very rare, does that mean Victor is NOT Phillip's real father now? I thought the blood of the baby was always the same type as the father? In that case, Victor and Phillip would have to had identical matches for blood type if Victor was Phillip's father. Is DOOL going there now?

Even assuming that Victor truly is Philip's biological father, they would never take blood from him for his son's transfusion in his present state of health.

just got this off of soap.net

Just about as goofy as hiding someone in the same basement and sucking his brain onto a computer disc. JMHO.

They actually said that in today's episode and I didn't mention it. It's hard to record every precious word.

Precious - I use the term loosely.

I just read that on 8/4/08 that Ava will leave DOOL, and also that Ethan and Theresa will finally get together again on Passions and Gwen will be gone, same day. If that news is true, then it will give DOOL fans and Passions fans something they have wanted for a long time, although apparently Drake didn't even know Ava was leaving DOOL until that day's show.

It makes sense that Paul would still be alive, so that Bo's withholding evidence would not matter on DOOL. I think Morgan has been giving clues that her dad is still alive. I heard writers do that through their actors on soaps, giving out little clues to the highly perceptive audience.

Clues, huh? It’s really hard to have any level of perception when I’m busy zapping through practically every scene that includes Morgan. Maybe I should attempt to be a tad bid more perceptive. On the other hand, maybe not.

On today's show I noticed that the note left at Phillip's door was written by a left handed person. John is left handed. John could have had Paul rescued after the goon threw his body in the water, and is using all this to his advantage against Phillip.

I also noticed that on today's show Marlena was trying to get Rolf to help her get John's memory back in the foyer of the DiMera mansion. Just recently John said he has cameras everywhere so he can always know what is going on there. So he will know that Marlena is trying to get Rolf to help her?
Now the question is, will DOOL writers use this bit of information or pretend that it doesn't exist?

I should add that I really like Rolf's new voice he uses sometimes with John, which has no accent.

Ok, after that last scene in today's show, it certainly looked to me like Morgan was going for a gun in her purse. Phillip jumped in front of her and took the bullet that Eddie meant for Morgan.

So with the spoilers here and on other sites, here's a thought. John knew Ava's goons were going to kill Paul, and warned him ahead of time because this has been a set up with John, Marlena, and Rolf all along. They store him in the basement so he and Rolf can play board games while John plays house with Ava. Trying to convince everyone he truly is bad to the bone.

When Stefano is revived, he will kidnap Marlena (again) and old John will save the day. (He's been old John for a while because he used the disk before Ava smashed it, Marlena and Rolf already know, but have to pretend it never happened so the cover isn't blown) The Salemites will realize new John has been old John the entire time and has been employed by the ISA, therefore all his charges are dropped. Ava will be gone, Stefano will be back, and the balance of good and evil will be restored in the wonderful town of Salem.

i just can't keep quiet any longer, I hate new Jawn. If they were going to this to him, I wish they just would have left him dead, at least we could of had our memories and flashbacks to sustain us. He acts like a robot, like someone that can't act at all. He rarely makes eye contact with anyone and what's up with always wearing black. He's despicable and not a nice person at all. I hate that they've made him the so called villan on the show. And his constant smoking really irritates me. The love between John and Marlena were the reason that I watched the show. I thought when they resurrected him he would have been like this for awhile and then they would have brought the real John back, but now I have my doubts.

I just read some spoilers and it seems that Lucas will get beat up badly in prison soon. Sami rushes to the hospital to his bedside.

Nicole tells EJ that she and Trent were married when she was in college and they were never divorced but she didn't know that until recently. She is worried that her divorce settlement from Victor will be null but EJ thinks he can help her with that.

Melanie and Max get arrested. She is a webcam girl. This only convinces me all the more that Nicole is her birth Mother.

Morgan tells Phillip that she is in love with him and he hears it and says he loves her too. They are going to be romantically involved.

John is fixing to set Phillip up for Paul's murder. He had his goons fish Paul out of the water when his body was thrown in. He's been hiding and holding Paul hostage in his basement. He shows Ava a very much alive Paul. Paul wants John to let him go but he refuses. He wants to bring Phillip to his knees for what he tried to do to John. It was John who sent that note to Phillip, and he has Ava inform the newspaper by computer that someone has incriminating evidence against Phillip that they have not turned into the police. Hope tracks the computer down and realizes that it was Ava and that the link leads straight to John. Bo will have to confess what he did to Hope.

Bo's surprise to Hope is a renewal of their wedding vows. All their family and friends gather soon for that event.

Sami comes face to face with Stefano who is fully functional again.

Chelsea witnesses Daniel lacing into Kate soon, whatever that means.

Nick is gone for the present time, starring in another show. Whether or not he will be back depends on the other show's success or failure.

Chloe gets invited to the Horton cabin by Lucas. She feels torn between Phillip and Lucas, since they both were almost killed. Lucas is torn between Sami and Chloe.

Sounds like some good shows in the near future.

Isn't that a privledge that Dee Hall has in her contract?
