Max Meets Inspector Cloulesseau

The Orient Express chugs along. Stephanie tells Max about her trip over to France. Every... excruciating... mile. For some strange reason, Max decides he needs some fresh air. He excuses himself and bolts from the berth. Stephanie, oblivious to the fact that Max has left, keeps talking.

Outside, Max strolls down the narrow corridor and suddenly comes upon a man with a dark, thick moustache. He looks vaguely familiar to Max in his hound's tooth cap and trench coat. He also looks very official, carrying a briefcase under one arm. His other hand is holding a leash, and he's leading a small dog down the hallway.

The inspector stops Max, "Pardon me, but are you coming from your rrhheeuuuummmee?"

"What is a rrhheeuuuummmee," asks Max.

The inspector tries it in French, "Une chamber."

Max' French is limited, but he gets it, "OH! A ROOM!"

"Zat is what I have been saying, you idiot," says Cloulesseau, "A rrhheeuuuummmee."

"Yes," says Max, "I came from my ROOM."

"Zen you may pass," says Cloulesseau.

"Thank you," says Max. He looks down at the dog, "What a cute little doggie! Does your dog bite?"

Cloulesseau is aloof, "No."

Max smiles and reaches down to pet the dog.

RRROOOWWWRRRRRRRRR!

Max nearly loses his arm. He jumps back and gasps, "I thought you said your dog does not bite!"

Cloulesseau shakes his head, "Zat is not my dog."

Have a great weekend, Prevuzers. Make rrhheeuuuummmee for a little fun.

Max the Clueless meets Inspector Cloulesseau, ha ha. Thanks, Prevuze for including one of my all time favorite lines from a film and for keeping us abreast of the continuing adventures of Shawn & Belle. Just love the Saturday specials.

I can visualize that scene from the Pink Panther by just closing my eyes. Thanks for bringing it in. And "Max the Clueless" fits right in with the rest of the bunch from Salem and the US Congress.

In the next scene Inspector Cloulesseau, trying to be suave as he shows off for Stephanie, lights his cigarette. Instead he lights the end of the rubber nose he was wearing for a disguise. As it melts down his chin, yapping Stephanie doesn't even notice.

(I'm sure Deb could come up with something great to continue their mis-adventure. HA)

Prevuze, such great memories! Thanks for the Belle and Jr. update in the clever Saturday edition. :D

Haha. There's too much DOOL on the brain when you think of Shawn Brady as a response to 'vehicle crash'.
