His-And-Her Jump Suits

Unfortunately, we've lost the DOOL satellite, perhaps permanently. While everyone who uses the feed is continuing to assess the situation, I am, in conjunction with Barb at the Salem Spectator, asking for a Canadian reader, or someone in the US who can receive the Canadian broadcast, to help by recording and uploading the show. That way, our blogs will remain at least a bit ahead in the US. If you think you can help Prevuze and other blogs, please contact me at prevuze@gmail.com. Thanks.

We pan in on the sarcophagus. Vivian hallucinates about Victor tickling her. She giggles and playfully tells him to stop. Then a coral snake crawls over her. Vivian changes her tune, "God someone get me out of here!"

Brady and Nicole are at the pub. Nicole looks at wedding pics on her phone and they talk about Daniel and Chloe's happy ending. Nicole wonders if she and Brady will have one.

Back to the sarcophagus. Vivian rants and tries to get Gus on the communicator. She wonders if Brady knocked him out, then hears a voice. It's Victor. Vivian thinks he's there to save her. Victor finds the communicator and wonders what's going on.

EJ tries to get hold of Arianna on the phone. Chad walks in and EJ jumps all over him, telling him this isn't a good time. He asks Chad to leave.

Arianna wonders if Rafe is asking her to lie for Sami. Rafe says, "I'm asking you to curb your suspicions." Arianna tells him she knows she's the black sheep of the family and he's been the golden boy, but now he's turned into the accomplice of an attempted murderer, "What has Sami done to you?"

Sami walks in, "Go on, Rafe, tell her."

"How about if I answer that," says Arianna. Arianna tells Sami she's been nothing but pain and misery for Rafe. Sami insists she's never intended to hurt him. Rafe steps in and demands Arianna apologize. Arianna doesn't exactly apologize. Instead she nukes, "She's not only a slut, she's a homicidal maniac. I know what you did, Sami. You shot EJ."

Victor listens as Vivian tells him she's in the sarcophagus, "Please get me out of here." Victor gives a quizzical look.

Nicole asks if she and Brady will get married. Brady consults the Guy Manual. He looks up the word 'married.' The Guy Manual advises, "See the emergency procedures section." Brady turns to the section printed in big red letters and reads on, "You have two options: either run out screaming, or tell her it's premature, even if you've been together for twenty years."

"This is a little premature," says Brady, "After all, we just got back together."

"I know," says Nicole, "I was just... wondering."

Brady turns back to the Guy Manual, "When it comes to... the 'm-word' women never 'just wonder.' Choose your words carefully."

Nicole says, "I just thought it might be at least a possibility."

Brady turns back to the Guy Manual, "When it comes to... the 'm-word' women use the words 'possibility' and 'dead certainty' interchangeably. Your best bet is to change the subject."

"Well," says Brady, "Actually all I've been wondering about is our friend Vivian, "If we get caught the only future for us is wearing his-and-her jump suits." Nicole assures him they're not going to get caught.

Meanwhile, back at the sarcophagus, Victor checks the communicator, "This can't be happening." Suddenly he puts two and two together and decides maybe Vivian isn't alone inside, "My God, you're not in there with Isabella, are you?" Vivian tells him she's alone. "Where is my daughter," asks Victor.

"I've kind of lost track," says Vivian, "But I think she started calling herself Sparkles and ran off with Curious George." She begs him to get her out.

EJ tells "Chaz" to come back later. "Chaz" ain' goin' nowhere until he talks to Stefano. Stefano walks in, "Talk to me about what?"

Rafe tells Arianna she has no proof. Arianna explodes, "You're lying your ass off to protect her."

Out in the audience Mabel Farnsworth, a diehard Safe fan, turns to her neighbor, "He should stop lying. I like his ass just the way it is."

Back at the pub Nicole and Brady continue to look at wedding pictures. Nicole thinks Chloe's pregnancy is a miracle, "Just like my miracle baby. I was told I couldn't conceive but I did. I could have another miracle. And here we are together again."

Brady turns back to the Guy Manual, "If she has been talking marriage, and then starts talking about having kids, you must initiate emergency procedures immediately. See the 'Code-Red Mayday' section of this book for an application to the French Foreign Legion."

Crusty ole Victor grills Vivian about how she got in there. Vivian tells him Brady locked her in there, "He's not the sainted do-gooder he pretends." Victor starts to go, but Vivian tells him Nicole was also involved. That stops Victor and Vivian continues to beg. She tells him about the lever that will open the top. Victor searches.

Chad tells Stefano he is there to talk about the internship. Stefano is grumpy. Chad gets snarly and reminds him he was also grouchy with him at the hospital. EJ jumps in and tells Chad he can't come in and throw a hissy fit just because Stefano doesn't show much interest in him when he's concerned his son is just off his death bed.

Chad snaps, "I came in here to talk about an internship."

EJ shakes his finger at Chad, "You watch your tone with me, Sunshine." Chad backs down and turns to Stefano. He says given what Kate said he thought he had the job. EJ says if it's money he wants he'll give him some. He pulls out his wallet and starts to hand Chad a wad-o-cash, but Stefano tells him to put his money away.

Arianna continues her meltdown. She starts to go to the cop-shop to report the crime but Sami blocks her and reminds her she went to prison for drugs. Arianna insists she paid for her crimes. Things degenerate, if that's possible. Sami says EJ is a master manipulator and has Arianna wrapped around his little finger.

Nicole continues to talk about getting pregnant, and then decides if she can't get pregnant, they could adopt. Desperate Brady goes back to the Guy Manual, "Even the French Foreign legion can't protect you. Apply to NASA for the first mission to Mars."

Brady says he's not sure what will happen, "Especially the kid thing. Adoption is a tricky process if you have a criminal record. I don't see this fantasy of being together happening."

Victor can't get the sarcophagus open. He goes for help. Vivian begs him to hurry back.

Stefano tells Chad he'll look into things. Chad snorts, "Faghedaboudit. I've lost interest." He leaves.

Stefano wonders why Chad reminds him so much of EJ.

The Sami-Arianna Smackdown continues. Rafe tells her she can't accuse Sami when she has no proof. "You're right," says Arianna, "I'm going to tell the truth... someone has to." She leaves. Rafe chases.

Brady keeps skating on thin ice with Nicole, and then tells her he doesn't see children in his future. Nicole says that's OK, but maybe they could travel the world together instead. Brady says they need to focus on Vivian. He leaves for the house. Nicole rubs her tummy and sighs.

EJ wants to talk about Arianna instead of Chad, "She said she wanted to talk to me, but I have no idea what she wanted to tell me." Stefano says he knows how to find her.

Sami is packing things at the Hernandez Hovel. She flashes back to the shooting as Will comes back. Sami gives him her banshee stare as he walks in and, sharpie that he is, Will senses something is wrong. Sami tells him Arianna heard them at the pier, knows she shot EJ, and is going to tell EJ everything if Rafe doesn't stop her.

Arianna had a three-second head start on Rafe, but he doesn't catch up with her until they get to the pier. Rafe isn't the world's fastest runner since he has to drag a concrete brain along with him. He begs her to keep her mouth shut, "You want the truth... OK... it was Sami. She's the one who shot EJ."

There are a lot of secrets in Salem, the two big ones being the fact that Sami shot EJ, and Chloe cheated on Daniel with Phillip. Now, the only person left in Salem who doesn't know at least one of those secrets is Jan Spears, who lies comatose in the vegetable ward of Salem Hospital.

Nicole stands outside the pub looking for her keys. Caroline comes up with Sydney. Nicole beams.

Brady comes back to the Kiriakis mansion and asks how Victor's day is going. "Rather mundane," says Victor, "Read the paper... got a haircut... found Vivian locked in Isabella's coffin..."

The blood drains from Brady's face, "Did you let her out?"

"Not yet. She said Nicole was responsible and she coerced you into helping her." Brady tells him it was the other way around.

Will worries that Sami might go to prison if Arianna blabs. Sami vows to find a way to protect Will. He suggests running away. Sami thinks that wouldn't be fair to the kids. Besides, with the money they have they couldn't get past the Main Street bus stop.

Stefano says he was originally skeptical that Arianna could help EJ, so he came up with an insurance plan. He picks up the phone and summons someone to the rumpus room. He hangs up and turns to EJ, "Soon, your questions will be answered."

Arianna asks, "If you know Sami shot EJ, why are you covering for her?"

Rafe flashes back to his last session of bedroom calisthenics with Sami, "What're ya nuts?" Rafe tells her EJ was planning on kidnapping the children again. He says he doesn't condone what Sami did, however.

Caroline hustles Sydney away from Nicole. Nicole pouts.

Victor wants to know why Brady locked Vivian in the sarcophagus. Brady tells him the sarcophagus was meant for Maggie, "She was going to torture her and make Maggie watch as she tried to seduce you."

"If Vivian seduced me, I'd be the one being tortured," says Victor.

Brady tells him there is more, and tells him Vivian had Isabella's remains reburied in a pet cemetery. He says he's got Izzy's remains back where they belong, "When I found out she did that I shoved Vivian into the coffin."

Will says even though Arianna knows what EJ has done she's still on his side. Sami says, "I think she has a... crush... on him." Translation: hot to trot. "No one can change that," says Sami, "She'll believe he walks on water until someone changes her mind."

Mitch the henchman has joined Stefano and EJ in the rumpus room. Stefano explains ever since EJ recruited Arianna, he's been having Mitch keep tabs on her.

"How does that work," asks EJ.

"Simple," says Mitch, "I walk into a bar, have a few drinks and have them put it on Arianna's tab. I'm keeping tabs on her all over town." Mitch tells them he last saw Arianna at the Hernandez Hovel. He leaves.

EJ says, "Arianna can't tell Rafe she knows Sami shot EJ, or Rafe will do everything he can to shut her up."

"If he accomplishes that," says Stefano, "He'll be the first one to succeed."

Rafe tries to reason with Arianna. Given the fact that their combined IQ is lower than Death Valley, it's a pathetic sight to watch.

Back inside the sarcophagus, Vivian figures this all could have turned out so badly. She imagines Victor and Maggie getting married in the Kiriakis den. Henderson busts in on the wedding and says there is a delivery for Maggie. They check it out and find a coffin in the foyer. Vivian pops out. Somehow it seems more appropriate for Vivian to pop out of a coffin instead of a cake. Vivian tells all, putting her spin on it, of course. She says Brady buried her alive in the sarcophagus she bought for Izzy, and Victor helped.

Maggie snaps, "You courted me while you buried a woman alive?" She explodes and throws her bouquet away. Vivian catches it as Maggie stomps out. Vivian smiles as Victor begs Maggie not to go. He tells Vivian he'll deal with her and then get Maggie back. "I don't think so," says Vivian, "I'm never letting you go."

Vivian smiles in the sarcophagus, "Yes, Maggie will be surprised."

Back to... ahem... reality, Nicole bops into the den, "Brady, did you have a chance to check on..." she stops short when she sees Victor.

Victor asks, "Vivian?"

Brady turns to Nicole, "He knows everything."

Sami asks Will to go to the pub and check on Caroline and Sydney. Translation: "Tell Grandma I want her to babysit you, too." Will worries about leaving Sami alone, but Sami assures him she'll be OK, "Go on... have a milkshake on me."

"Can I have dinner, too," asks Will.

"No," says Sami, "With all of us out of work, we really can't even afford the milkshake."

Outside, Will sighs, "I have to find a way to protect Mom."

Beldar, a strange looking guy with an odd cone-shaped head walks up to Will and utters in nasal tones, "Instruct her to consume mass quantities of Prozac."

Inside, Sami plots, "There is absolutely no way I will let Arianna Hernandez hurt this family. I've gotta do something." If she's going to shoot her, she'd better take a few marksmanship lessons first.

EJ figures Rafe has convinced Arianna not to talk and that's why she hasn't called him, "DAMN! I trusted her. If she has proof Samantha shot me I'll get it by any means necessary."

Arianna says Sami has to answer for what she did. Rafe tells her Sami is the love of his life and begs her not to do this. Arianna says she has to tell the truth. Rafe breathes a sigh of relief, since in Salem, telling the truth is nearly impossible.

yay Prevuze! :)

Sami thought about shooting Ari, but decided a bullet was too small. She needed something bigger so she wouldn't miss. Since nobody in town seems to own a car, I'm curious as to who's car she's using and how she got it. And if it's not Sami behind the wheel, how many times did she have to bat her eyes to get the real driver to mow Ari down?

So today's not the day Ari tapes Sami's confession then, huh? I was looking forward to the fight b/w them happening today. Guess I'll have to wait till later in the week!

I love Ari. She may not be the brightest, but she's welcome relief to the self-absorbed, self-indulgent, psychotic, homicidal maniac slut that is Sami Brady. I even laughed reading that's what Ari calls her, lol.

Just what I needed as an afternoon pick-me-up.....Prevuze and all that lovely snark like:

Rafe isn't the world's fastest runner since he has to drag a concrete brain along with him.

ROFLMAO

and Beldar, a strange looking guy with an odd cone-shaped head walks up to Will and utters in nasal tones, "Instruct her to consume mass quantities of Prozac."

Or else, instruct him to have her watch DOOL. [Beldar...now those were the days SNL was funny. But I digress.]

"I've kind of lost track," says Vivian, "But I think she started calling herself Sparkles and ran off with Curious George."

Vivian's almost that deluded. And good old Mabel Farnsworth, speaking up for all those fans of hot bods, no matter whose. LOL

Arianna had a three-second head start on Rafe, but he doesn't catch up with her until they get to the pier.

Maybe the Hernandez Hovel is located down in the slums usually found on the sleazy part of the waterfront.

I will now continue to soldier on. Until tomorrow Preverts!

Prevuze late is better than Prevuze never!

You forgot Shawn Brady who was trying to go back to Salem but instead wound up on an island with someone named Gilligan.

KatieR, you nailed it. I think Sami would actually need a bus to make a successful murder attempt. A Hummer might be big enough (and certainly, Sami has experience with those), but why take chances?

Miss the day aheads, but I am enjoying the post-show posts (wait, what?).

Aaaahhh! Prevuze is a welcome relief during a long afternoon.

Dare I say it? This episode sounds pretty good. Not only for the Brady/Vivian/Victor scenes but lack of Chloedan and Steponme.

I can just imagine how Victor's going to torture Vivian. This should be good.

Totally cracked up over Rafe dragging his cement brain around with him (did he borrow it from Bo?) as well as their combined IQ is lower than Death Valley.

And Brady Brady's copy of the Guy Manual must be getting pretty worn out by now. I'm glad to see he's following the advice it offers.

Thanks for the recap, Prevuze.

Prevuze hopefully you can get some help with the feed. I'm not computer savvy but you think dool going HD may be the problem?

As for dool. Rafe turning on his sis because of Sami the slut makes me hate him even more. She will mess up his perfect little family. Excuse me Rafe you are not the kids' fathers. I swear if Sami is the run who hits Ari I am done with days.

I hope Ej gets the proof he needs to get his kids. If so I bet Safe goes down the commode. If Rafe can't have the kids he won't want Sami. lol.

Rafe and Nicole have such creepy obessions with Ejand Sami's kids. I feel bad for Ally and Will. Noone seems to care about them.

Oh well done ranting.

I am so over all of the Hernandez family members. Rafe thinks with the wrong head, Ari is all of a sudden Miss Holier than Thou and the (new) little sister is basically filler material. This new girl is so bland, the other one has a little spice going for her. I liked her best out of the entire family.

Late to Prevuze today...but so much snark hit me all at once! Oh how I missed ye'...Damm sattelite! It's probably etra-terrestrial sabotaje...even the martians must dislike the way the EJami s/l is going!

"How about if I answer that, says Arianna. Arianna tells Sami she's been nothing but pain and misery for Rafe."...NOT ENOUGH pain and mysery, she must mean... At least the guy wants to BE with her...where's your man Ari? Oh, that's right, Brady's moved on to a blonder piece of meat! Jealousy's a bitch, isn't it!

"She's not only a slut, she's a homicidal maniac"...A homicidal maniac I'll give you...but a slut??? Sami's only slept with one guy(Rafe) since 08...how is she a slut? Ari better look in the mirror before she starts casting stones...

"This is a little premature," says Brady...I've never heard that one before! Good one Brady!

"Stefano walks in, Talk to me about what?"...Uhhhmmm, about your wife wanting to do me??...I mean she's already done EJ...I must be the next DiMera son on Kate's list to do...

Oh NO she didn't...Nicole actually had the nerve to bring up her fake baby rubber bumper pregnancy to Brady, because????? He might be an addict, but he's not THAT dumb!!!! And she actually mentioned "adopting" to him? Adopting what, a chimpanzee??? Oh boy, Brady must have one mangled copy of "The guy manual" after today's eppi!

"Rafe isn't the world's fastest runner since he has to drag a concrete brain along with him...LOL...OL!!!

"If Vivian seduced me, I'd be the one being tortured, says Victor."...isn't that the truth!!! Prevuze, you are too much!

"Somehow it seems more appropriate for Vivian to pop out of a coffin instead of a cake." OMG, a visual of THAT is enough to make me lose my dinner tonight...

Great recap Prevuze! Thanks for the many laughs :)

Nicole looks at wedding pics on her phone and they talk about Daniel and Chloe's happy ending.

Translation: The marriage is doomed.

"What has Sami done to you?"

Sami walks in, "Go on, Rafe, tell her."

If this has anything to do with their bedroom antics, I don’t want any details.

"This is a little premature," says Brady, "After all, we just got back together."

It’s a good thing that Brady keeps the Guy Manual under his pillow.

Rafe isn't the world's fastest runner since he has to drag a concrete brain along with him.

This is five-star snark!!! LOL!!!!!

He begs her to keep her mouth shut, "You want the truth... OK... it was Sami. She's the one who shot EJ."

What sense does that make? Rafe just admitted that he was lying to his sister and gave Ari the proof she needs to accuse Sami of shooting EJ. Rafe proceeds to continue to beg Ari to keep her mouth shut. He pulls the “family” card by reminding her that he made weekly trips to visit her in the slammer. For many long and agonizing months, Rafe was plastered to Sami’s side. Do the writers actually think the viewers forgot about witless protection? The first time Rafe and Arianna bumped into each other we were lead to believe they hadn’t seen each other in forever. It figures. Rafe is starting to get a back story but at the expense of history.

Maggie snaps, "You courted me while you buried a woman alive?"

That’s not a woman. It’s Vivian.

Loved and excerpts from the Guy Manual! Thanks for the recap Prevuze!

In my opinion Rafe is the worst of this awful family : Hernandull zzzzzz
Seriously the guy is bland, smug all the the time, self-righteous and to take the ice in the cake the actor is bad bad baddddddddddd (at least the girl who plays Ari can show emotions despite her disturbing bugg-eyed, she is pretty but her eyes are so distracting in... a bad way but.. but she can act). Please get rid us of him, pretty please please.. of course if in the case where you want your show to still be aired...lol

I guess the soaps decided not to invest in a new dish. They must have figured nobody's watching the show anyway, why bother, lol.

Ari makes the show worth watching. I love her putting Sami in her place. What we need now is for AMC to dump her, and we can get Ari back as a brainwashed DiMera minion, ala Princess Gina/Hope. It'd be a great way to get Bart and Rolf back! :)

I used to like Ari, but lately as her time in Salem is about up, she's become waay to much of a stuttering mumbler. And while that is distracting enough, the Ari and Chloe boobie wars are even more so...and I'm a girl! LOL!

And sorry, but I am still a Safe fan, despite his concrete brain, which is overshadowed by his concrete abs! :) This blog makes my day so much happier!

Also, my money is on Will being the hit and run driver. we shall see! I like this Will so much better than the previous Will - I can't quite picture the first one in this storyline or the Chad/Mia story either - he was too Napolean Dynamite!
