An Exceedingly Lowlife Stupid Criminal

Hope is on the phone at the pub as Dean comes in asking if he can help her. Hope says she has some info about Bonnie. Dean gives her a sick look as the blood drains from his face. And he hasn't even had the chowdah yet.

Phillip is at Bo's house. Bo tells him he already knows about the webcast porno. He also tells Phillip they've arrested Grabowski. Phillip says he suspects Melanie was involved in getting the porno on the web.

Brady is with Melanie at the hospital. She cries on his shoulder, "I've never been so humiliated."

Brady tries to reassure her, "You will get through this. You'll be fine Of course, maybe I should go watch the video several more times before I can be totally sure of that."

Victor has summoned Arianna to the Kiriakis mansion. Arianna walks in all happy and chatty, but nasty Victor shuts her down and gets down to the real reason he wanted her to come over there.

Nicole paces around the rumpus room and reads the second incriminating letter. She puts it into a shredder, "Thank God, I'm home free." The doorbell rings and Nicole answers to find Sami.

Sami makes the big announcement, "You left something at my place."

Rafe is at the convent. He greets Sister Teresa and tells her he wants to find out what really happened with Grace, "You may be my only hope."

"Sorry, Rafe," says Sister Teresa, "There is no hope for you."

Sami tells Nicole she's there to return the giraffe-horse stuffed toy she left at her place. She says she also wants to discuss something about Nicole and Rafe, "Rafe won't talk about it so I figured I'd ask you. So, Nicole what is going on between you and Rafe?"

Rafe asks Sister Teresa what she recalls about the night Grace was born. He gets Nicole's picture on his iPhone knock off and hands it to Sister Teresa, "Do you know her?"

Sister Teresa looks at the picture, "I do."

Prevuze

"She is the reason we were at the clinic in the first place," says Sister Teresa, "She's the reason Sami had her baby there."

Bo tells Phillip Melanie wasn't involved in the Internet porn scheme. He also tells him about Brady's role in the matter. Of course, Stephanie shows up. She knocks and Bo answers. Stephanie tells him she's trying to get in touch with Patch and Kayla.

"In other words," says Bo, "You can't get in touch with your parents, but I can. They must really be trying to ditch you."

Stephanie yammers about everything that's going on with her, but suddenly spies Phillip behind Bo. That shuts her up. Whatever it takes.

Victor tells Arianna he's been looking into her history. She wonders if Victor thinks she's interested in Brady's money. "I don't think that at all," says crafty ole Victor, "Not with the lucrative job you have. If Brady knew you'd be long gone wouldn't you?"

Nicole says, "Rafe doesn't like me. End of story. And I don't like him. The guy is trouble. I know he was good to you, but I think you're starting to see the other side of him. He's sneaky... manipulative... shifty... would lose a debate with a doorknob..."

Sister Teresa tells Rafe about "Mary." She says "Mary" recommended the clinic and that's why Sami had her baby there. She tells Rafe "Mary" came back after she had her baby and thanked her for being comforting, "She also came to see Grace."

Bo has Stephanie come in and then heads for the hills as fast as he can. Phillip and Stephanie share an uncomfortable moment. "Actually," says Stephanie, "I'm glad you're here." She chucks her engagement ring at him, "I need to give you back this."

Arianna says she doesn't understand. Victor lays it on the line, "I'm talking about drugs. Cocaine, specifically."

Arianna tells him he has bogus information, "I have never dealt drugs."

Victor scowls, "If the front wheel of a bicycle is stolen in this town I know about it."

"I've never stolen any bicycle wheels, either," says Arianna.

Victor loses it, "Lie to me once more and, by God, I'll have you arrested here and now. But that isn't what I want. I don't want to get involved. I have no intention of revealing anything."

Arianna cowers, "What about Brady?"

Victor snorts, "What you mean is what about you and Brady. If you have to ask that question you're not just a low life criminal you're an exceedingly stupid lowlife criminal."

Nicole thinks Rafe might blame her for his breakup with Sami in some strange way. Sami don' wanna talk about it. She runs out. Nicole picks up a picture of Sydney, "That's what I had to do. Sami and Rafe can't be together so we can be – for all the Days Of Our Lives."

Rafe leaves Sister Teresa hanging as he mysteriously bugs out for info. He tells her he'll be back with some answers.

Hope and Dean sit at a table. She tells him a witness saw Bonnie kissing another man but no one has been able to identify him. Dean jumps in and says he wants to handle this part of the investigation, "I need to do this for Ciara." Hope assures him he will get that reward money.

Phillip picks up the ring that Stephanie tossed, thankful that cubic zirconium isn't fragile. He tells Stephanie he still loves her. She says she thinks he gave up everything for himself, not her.

Melanie arrives back in Maggie's kitchen mumbling to herself and remembering her first meeting with Nathan. Nate himself walks in and we have a staredown.

Victor says Brady is on his way over, "You will greet him for the last time. Is that clear?" Arianna understands. Victor walks out.

Arianna whimpers, "I can't do this now." She runs out but bumps into guess who and we have yet another staredown.

Rafe arrives at the DiMera mansion for a little chat, "Is your husband around here?"

"No," says Nicole, "He's out somewhere searching for a clue. But you and I are done."

Rafe disagrees, "We are just getting started."

Arianna stammers around and asks Brady how Melanie is doing. Brady tells her about Phillip and Stephanie seeing the video. "Things just aren't working out," says Arianna.

"That's understandable after Stephanie saw that porno on the internet," says Brady.

"I'm not talking about Phillip and Stephanie," says Arianna, "I'm talking about us."

Hope insists she will get the money for Dean. Dean wants to show his appreciation. "Maybe there is something you can do for me," says Hope.

Bo comes back down. Phillip figures it's a lost cause and leaves. Stephanie bawls. Bo tries to smooth things over. Stephanie blubbers, babbles and wails, "I hate him... but I still love him." Bo needs some time to process that one.

Sami has asked Roman to drop by. He arrives and Sami answers the door. "What is it," asks Roman.

"It's Rafe."

Rafe congratulates Nicole for getting Sami to leave her place so Nicole could go through Sami's mail, "It's all gonna come crashing down on you."

instead, Nicole comes crashing down on Rafe, "I Hope you find someone to help turn your pathetic life around."

Maybe we can pray together. I was just at the convent talking to Sister Teresa. She said to send you her fondest regards.

Brady is confused, but he's used to that. Arianna asks how it's supposed to work with him and her, "You're always busy taking care of broken women. It's like you're obsessed. You ran around trying to help Melanie get out of that mess with the Internet video and you're always hanging around your former wife."

"For God's sake, she's in a coma and may be dying," says Brady.

"Excuses, excuses," says Arianna, "And then there is Nicole. If she says jump you say how high."

Brady defends himself, "That's because there will always be a place in my heart for my former stepmother / girlfriend. I don't understand what you're getting at."

Arianna says she doesn't fulfill his need to take care of helpless women so they want to take a break. Brady doesn't believe her and wants to know the real reason, "Something else has happened, right?"

"Yes," says Arianna, "Something has."

Melanie says she figures Nathan hates her guts. Nathan says he doesn't, but he thinks he's foolish for thinking she was being honest with him, "Not only do I not know you, I don't think you know yourself." He leaves. Melanie breaks down like a '47 Ford.

Bo insists on taking Stephanie home as Dean and Hope arrive. Hope makes the intros and stirs the pot by telling Dean they are wiring the money to his account. Bo gives Hope a look and grits his teeth until they turn to ground dust.

Dean catches on, "You seem upset, Commissioner."

"You know why," says Bo, "As does my wife."

Hope throws a little gasoline on the fire, "Yes, I do and I'm still going through with it."

Nicole claims she has never heard of the convent.

Rafe gets cute, "You know how I can tell you're lying? Your lips are moving."

"You know how I can tell you're not thinking? You're breathing," says Nicole, "So what is it? Do you miss your job? You're unemployed so you're chasing every phantom clue that blows through your paranoid cabana?"

Rafe asks, "Should I call you 'Mary?' That's how you met Sister Teresa wasn't it. As 'Mary.' Then you took Sami to the clinic to give birth the same night you gave birth. Now you're gonna tell me why, Nicole."

"Uh... maybe it was because her baby was due?"

Arianna says she spoke to her ex today and he's thinking about coming to Salem. She says she has realized she still has feelings for him. Brady reminds her she said the guy was a loser. Arianna tells him her ex has changed and she's getting tired of Brady's holier than thou attitude, "We had sex and it was great but sometimes you only have to experience it once."

Brady asks, "And now you have experienced me and we are done?"

"Exactly," says Arianna, "Wham bam thank ya, man."

Bo hauls Stephanie out to take her home and gives Hope a dirty look as they leave. Hope tells Dean she's sorry he had to see that.

Out in the audience, Maybelle turns to Hermione, "I'm sorry we had to see it, too."

Dean says he respects Bo and Hope and doesn't want the reward money to come between them. Hope says the two of them will always be grateful to him. She goes to get Ciara because she thinks it will be good for her to see the man who saved her again. Hope runs upstairs. Dean flicks his Zippo, "A huge reward and that bitch's marriage is on the rocks. Talk about killing two birds, not to mention a precious hour of the viewer's lives."

Sami tells Roman she was in love with Rafe, "I thought he hung the moon. I still am in love with him. Maybe you can be objective... does any of what's going on make sense to you?" Roman says it does.

Nicole insists Rafe is out of his mind and it wasn't until Grace died that she found out about Grace being Sami and EJ's child. She claims Sister Teresa is lying or that Rafe convinced her to have a false memory. Nicole starts to call the place.

"I have a better idea," says Rafe, "Call EJ or Sami and we can all tell our side of the story."

Nicole refuses and says she's not arguing any more, "You have no proof."

"You're forgetting about Sister Teresa," says Rafe, "All we have to do is get the two of you in the same room. She's waiting for us and then we can solve this mystery once and for all."

Dejected Brady throws Arianna out. She leaves and Brady flops into a chair. Outside the mansion, Arianna breaks down like a '47 Ford.

Melanie tries to collect herself. Phillip shows up.

Dean flicks his Zippo as Ciara comes down and remembers the Zippo flicking kidnapper, "MOMMY!"

Hope asks, "What is is sweetheart?"

Ciara asks, "So if I solve the kidnapping, do I get the reward money?"

Roman says Nicole might be right that Rafe is delusional and dangerous but what's important is what Sami thinks.

Rafe tells Nicole he wants an impromptu pow wow with Sister Teresa, "Either you come with me now or I will call Sami and EJ because this is going to end. What's it going to be Nicole?"

Sami makes the big announcement, "You left something at my place."

We can start with what Nicole didn’t leave at Sami’s place – her self-respect, conscience, and mind. Nicole lost those long ago.

"You may be my only hope."

"Sorry, Rafe," says Sister Teresa, "There is no hope for you."

…or for this storyline either.

"She is the reason we were at the clinic in the first place," says Sister Teresa, "She's the reason Sami had her baby there."

A Catholic nun who belongs to an order that is undoubtedly affiliated with a network of Catholic hospitals decides instead to use a clinic on the recommendation of a former porn star. From the very beginning, this plot twist had the believability factor of a Roadrunner cartoon.

“He's sneaky... manipulative... shifty... would lose a debate with a doorknob..."

Well at least his personality matches the doorknob.

“If you have to ask that question you're not just a low life criminal you're an exceedingly stupid lowlife criminal."

Stupidity and lowlifes abound in Salem. If Arianna is supposed to be so clever, she ought to know that she shouldn’t tangle with Victor.

She says she thinks he gave up everything for himself, not her.

I wonder if Stephanie can say “self-absorbed”.

"I hate him... but I still love him." Bo needs some time to process that one.

Bo’s not the only one. Geez!

“I was just at the convent talking to Sister Teresa. She said to send you her fondest regards.”

Now why would Rafe tell Nicole he has more information about her? No one doing that type of investigation would be laying all their cards on the table. If an attempt was made to lobotomize Rafe, the doctor wouldn’t be able to locate anything to work on.

"You know how I can tell you're lying? Your lips are moving."

"You know how I can tell you're not thinking? You're breathing," says Nicole.

Prevuze that is so true! Great pictures! If the entire hospital staff is able to tune into the Stephanie/Phillip show, it’s a good bet the Sister Theresa knows all about Misty Circle!! Super recap!!

A post from Anonymous late yesterday: I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but someone in the props department is having fun. The address on Mia's letter: 1313 Mockingbird Lane is the Munster's address from the show The Munsters.

So glad that got cleared up. I knew that address was familiar, but couldn’t place it. Thanks!

And he hasn't even had the chowdah yet.

And should someone think we are too hard on Caroline’s chowdah, please note that Nicole actually used the chowder as an excuse to run to the bathroom at Sami’s. HAHAHA

"In other words," says Bo, "You can't get in touch with your parents, but I can. They must really be trying to ditch you."

Of course not. We just had to have a stupid reason for a Stephanie & Philip run-in so we could have the same stupid argument/accusation/groveling scene again.

Victor scowls, "If the front wheel of a bicycle is stolen in this town I know about it."

Yet he didn’t have a handle on who kidnapped his granddaughter? And speaking of whom:

Ciara asks, "So if I solve the kidnapping, do I get the reward money?"

Smart girl! Smart Prevuze. Lucky readers who have Prevuze to slog through this tripe everyday. Bless you!

I think you just insulted Roadrunner.

Now why would Rafe tell Nicole he has more information about her? No one doing that type of investigation would be laying all their cards on the table.

You can say that again. I'm thinking I insulted doorknobs by even suggesting they would stoop low enough to debate Rafe in the first place.

And speaking of Caroline's chowdah, tripe is one of the main ingredients.

Sami tells Roman she was in love with Rafe, "I thought he hung the moon." I'd never heard this expression before so that's how I know they've used it about three times. Can the writers come up with a different one, please?

Brady defends himself, "That's because there will always be a place in my heart for my former stepmother/girlfriend." Wouldn't that be stepgrandmother?

Leslie - while I agree nobody in their right mind would reveal all the cards they're holding, if it MOVES THE PLOT ALONG even an inch I'm for it!!

I had to quit reading in order not to burst out laughing at Bo gives Hope a look and grits his teeth until they turn to ground dust. HAHAHAHAHA As often as he clenches/grits his teeth I'm surprised he has any left.

I also loved You can't get in touch with your parents, but I can. They must really be trying to ditch you." Can you blame them?

This is "Monday" to me so I really needed the laughs. Thank you for taking it on the chin for us, Prevuze!

You are correct. Either way, it's ridiculous. But in Salem you really can't tell the players (or relatives) without a scorecard.

Shouldn't Rafe be calling EJ and Sami regardless of whether or not Nicole accompanies him to the convent? He knows something is fishy yet feels no need to notify Grace's parents, unless it would suit his agenda apparently.

LOL at the nun being familiar with Misty's work.

I am confused PREVUZE: Arianna is a Drug Dealer and Victor is backing a Brady & Arianna hook-up. OK - I am either missing something or Victor is on drugs himself???

Did I read this right, Stephanie's all pissed off because Phil didn't disown his dad for her, but he did it for himself?

What a twit.

Did anyone else think that Stephanie might be getting ready to make Dean the next notch on her bedpost? Too bad he's probably going to be arrested before that! LOL
