A Bastardized Form Of Curling

OK. This is my story and I'm stickin' to it. The Prevuze team is on the road. When we travel, trying to get the satellite feed from the Prevuze Compound to our remote location is a pretty complex affair. It's kind of like Rafe Hernandez trying to figure out how to use a can opener. It just almost can't be done. So I got up bright and early this morning to see what Mr. Satellite had captured, lo, those many miles away. I logged in to the Prevuze supercomputer system back at the Compound, pulled up the video and found our old friend the "death star" staring me in the face. No feed. Nada. Zip. Bupkis. Goose egg. Crappy-O.

Given our recent trials and tribulations with the satellite system failures, and the ensuing financial devastation of having to have Norris come out and repair the thing, my first thought was the satellite had blown again. Thing is, the system has been working really well since Norris gave it his special "Rolls Royce" treatment (that's where the customer gets the treatment and Norris gets the Rolls Royce).

Fact is, I really think the equipment is working. Still, we didn't get a feed. I know it's possible I didn't set the equipment up correctly before hopping in the Prevuzemobile and heading for parts unknown, but I really, really checked things out thoroughly before leaving. I checked so many times I sometimes didn't know if I was actually doing it or having a DOOL flashback.

If we assume the equipment is working and we assume I set things up properly prior to our junket, that does leave the possibility that there is no show on Monday. Hmmm... I checked the listings for Monday and, guess what – no DOOL.

So until I hear otherwise I think that's the scenario I'll go with. There is no DOOL on Monday, and it appears the culprit is golf. For those unfamiliar with the sport, golf is often characterized as a pleasant stroll in the park ruined by the presence of a little white ball. Golf is also "flog" spelled backwards which is appropriate since both can be brutal forms of punishment. In fact sometimes, on those 95° days, when my sixth shot on a par 5 sits in a sand trap, flogging would definitely be the way to go.

Anyway, that's the verdict. No show on Monday, so no feed today.

Prevuze

BUT...

If that's the case, I always wonder what happens to the folks up in Canada. Do they get a show today? If they do, where does the feed come from? Do they get a show on Monday? Do they get golf on Monday? Do they play golf in Canada? Do they think golf is a bastardized form of curling? We need some answers, eh?

And I guess we'll get those answers Monday. In the meantime, make it a great holiday weekend if you live in the US or a great standard-run-of-the-mill weekend if you live elsewhere. If you live in Canada, have a Labatt Blue for me, but not a du Maurier – I gave it up.

And you thought Grabowski was kidding...

(WARNING! This might actually be SFW – Safe For Work – but watching it would be hard to explain if your boss caught you, now wouldn't it?)

It's labour day here on Monday too.

We golf, although it is widely beleived it is a bastardized form of Curling. (doesn't stop the legions of golfers from dissappearing all the time to go and do it though... my husband included..bitter? Yup)

Have a great long weekend, I prefer Moosehead beer or Alpine beer, if your ever up this way check them out!

As usual, a non-DOOL Prevuze blog is as good, if not better, than a recap.

Loved the Grabowski picture and, yes, I am a PERV. Caught me didn't ya?!

This was a great, fun way to start a long weekend. And, yes, I took today off so it's a looooong one for me. Happy Labor Day to all my fellow Prevuzites out there.

Make mine a Molson Golden.

When I look at a golf course, my thoughts are that it would be a great place to pasture horses. There's lots of grass, and I'm sure most horses would enjoy a good roll in a sand trap.

Next week, the BMW Championship is being held in our area. There's a guy in our office who regularly gets high sniffing golf balls, and he's spending three days of his life being a volunteer/marshall for the tournament. I'm thinking that's about as exciting as watching the Phillip/Melanie "porn" video for 72 hours straight.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend everyone!! I plan to make mine safe and golf-free!!!

So, no DOOL must be an early Christmas present for us.

Time to write your own episode.

I tried being a golf marshall a couple years ago. I thought it woud be a great way to get free golf. From grueling personal experience, I can assure you watching Chloe in a coma isn't even in the same universe when it comes to the brain-numbing boredom of being a golf marshall. I lasted about a month and decided I had to move on to something a little less boring, like reading the phone book. In Latin.

Ok, I got busted on the censored link. When will I ever learn? And yippee for golf on Monday. Puhleeze. I think I'd rather watch Kate and Dr. Cop-a-feel or even a Nascar race before watching 'goff' as Judge Smails would say. Prevuze, the best porn/sports blog on the Internet. Enjoy the weekend all.

No DOOL. And to top it off it's raining. Not a toad-strangler, tho, more like a snake-shower.

Well, at least it's Friday. A long weekend. And I haven't seen Daze since Wednesday so I'll have a soapathon this weekend.

Thanks for the jolt of Porn, tho, Prevuze. We needed the laughs! HAHAHHA

Happy weekend all!

Prevuze - have a wonderful vacation.

I think that for the last days of the US Open - this time it's tennis, not golf, they move it from ESPN to NBC. Doesn't matter - equally as boring.

We sure do have golf here in Canada, haven't you heard of Mike Weir? In our neck of the woods we've had several pro's come to play on our championship courses: Greg Norman, Sergio Garcia, the oh-so-hot "spiderman" Camilo Villegas, Phil Mickelson (sp?), plus Fred Couples has designed one of our courses.

Oh, and it's a myth that all Canadian's drink Canadian beer - give me a Bud Light over Canadian any day!

Loved (again) the picture of Hope taking target practice. Oh the kidnapping suspense (Not)... like there was any doubt on DOOL.
