Jealous Mother Tiger Eyes

Sami and Rafe lie in bed between rounds while Rafe broods and remembers Meredith's threats.

Stefano tells Meredith Rafe's new ladylove deserves to know what happened. He tells her he will handle things himself, and leaves.

Back in Sami and Rafe's love nest, the phone rings. Sami sleeps while Rafe stares at it, wondering what you're supposed to do when a contraption like that starts ringing.

Brady and Nicole stand in Chloe's hospital room. They hug, and commiserate while Chloe vegetates. "At least we have each other," says Brady.

"And," says Nicole, "we'll (say it with her) be there for Chloe together."

Lucas is disgusted at Daniel's assertion that Kate tried to kill Chloe.

Victor intercepts Kate as she comes downstairs at the Kiriakis mansion.

Sami answers the phone and gasps, "OMG!" She turns to Rafe, "It's the morning crackpot disk-jockeys and they want to know exactly what I'm doing right now!

"Tell them to get off the phone," says Rafe, "and you can send them a lot more interesting report later."

Nicole wonders how this happened to Chloe. Brady drops the bomb that someone tried to killer. Nicole gasps, "OMG! Kill her? Who would do that to her?"

"I overheard them talking," says Brady, "I heard the doctors say she was poisoned by Luke O. Sistine."

"I think he was one of the Salem Serial Killers a few years back," says Nicole, "It's hard to remember, though, since we've had so many."

Victor thinks Kate looks guilty by going on the run. "But then you are guilty," he guffaws. Kate says she doesn't want to stay at the mansion when Victor has turned his back on her. Victor says, "Well, if you hadn't decided to leave on your own, I'd have thrown you out. I want you out of here."

Lucas rants. Daniel wastes his breath by asking Lucas to think, "You can't be that stupid," says Daniel.

"You don't know me that well, do you," asks Lucas, "Why would my mother want to kill Chloe?"

"Revenge is the oldest reason in the book."

"As old as my mom's original profession," asks Lucas.

Sami blithers and tells Rafe about Chloe's poisoning, "How will I ever tell my kids?"

"Don't you have to find them first," asks Rafe.

Meredith stops Stefano and tells him she already told Sami. She says she didn't give her the details though. Stefano counsels, "That is your responsibility. Would you want another innocent woman to fall victim to the man who killed your sister?" Stefano says he'll be in touch and leaves.

Brady tells Nicole they arrested Daniel. "Why," asks Nicole, "He loves her and she's in love with him."

Brady about swallows his tongue, "WHAT?"

"She confided in me about that," says Nicole, "She said she was still in love with him."

Lucas wonders if this is an act for Daniel to prove he's not mentally competent to stand trial. Daniel tells him Kate has known about his affair with Chloe for months and didn't say anything to protect Lucas. Lucas thinks it's ridiculous that Kate would have put them on the show together if that is the case. "She said she put us together," says Daniel, "so she could move past her anger."

Lucas snorts, "You just don't get it."

Daniel says, "No. You're the one who doesn't get it. Kate did this for you. To avenge your honor. You know damn well that your mother would do anything when it comes to her children, including murder."

"You're right," says Lucas, "She'd murder any of us if we crossed her."

Brady says Daniel talked to him about his affair with Chloe. They both wonder why Chloe would think there was another woman in Daniel's life. "She's the only one that can tell us what happened," whines Nicole, "What if she doesn't wake up?" Dr. Brady assures her Chloe will wake up. Hugs.

Victor wonders where Kate will be staying, "What will you do... pitch a pup tent on the pier? Kate tells him she'll stay with Lucas. Victor keeps up the accusations and threatens to tell Lucas the truth.

Daniel continues to work on Lucas, "Look at it through her jealous mother tiger eyes. She tries to start things again with me and I turn her down, so she resorts to this." Lucas accuses Daniel and Chloe of creating the situation instead of Mommie Dearest.

Sami calls and leaves a message for Lucas. She hangs up and spits, "Bitch!"

Rafe walks in, "Who?"

"Chloe," says Sami, "She cheated on Lucas."

Rafe tries to calm her down, "She's in a coma."

"She cheated before she was in the coma."

"Move over Sherlock Holmes, Sami Brady's in town."

"She brought this on herself," says Sami.

"I'm not sure I'm following you," says Rafe.

"Well," huffs Sami, "She was poisoned."

"So you're saying Lucas poisoned her because she cheated," says Rafe.

Sami erupts, "How could you say that? Lucas wouldn't do anything like that! He uses guns to try to kill people. Daniel poisoned her!" Rafe thinks that's crazy since Daniel did everything he could to save Grace.

"This is like something you hear about on TV," says Sami.

"Not good TV," says Rafe.

Meredith goes to the desk and pulls out a pen and paper. She writes a letter to Sami saying it's her responsibility to tell what happened when Emily died, "This was no accident."

Nicole can't believe Daniel would have done this. She says she would believe it if they were accusing Kate, "No one would trust that woman."

Kate wonders why Victor has turned on her. Victor says when Kate went after Daniel, she crossed the line, "You did this for yourself, not Lucas. Daniel rejected you."

Daniel continues to try to get through Lucas' concrete skull. Lucas reminds Daniel of his sexual and groparific history, "And that girl you've been keeping around. The one you had at your apartment before you poisoned Chloe."

Nicole is back in the rumpus room at the DiMera mansion. Stefano pours a drink. "It's a little early to be drinking, isn't it," asks Nicole

"It's a virgin mary," says Stefano. Nicole looks the word "virgin" up in the dictionary. They talk about Chloe's misfortune. Stefano says he has good news, "No more worries about Raphael Hernandez. Don't worry about the details. It is done."

Meredith continues writing the letter, "Here's what you need to know."

Daniel says he doesn't know anything about a woman at his place. Lucas tells him about the scarf on the floor. Lucas continues to accuse Daniel of wanting Chloe dead.

Kate insists this isn't about her ego, "It's about my son and that lowlife slut." Victor wonders why just telling Lucas about the affair wouldn't have been enough. Kate changes tactics, "If you continue to threaten me, instead of living with Lucas, I'll find a place where Phillip and I can live.

Victor catches on. He rolls his eyes, "Predictable."

Kate springs the trap, "It would devastate him to find out his own father turned me in."

Victor knows he's been bamboozled. He tells her she can stay in the house for Phillip's sake and he won't turn her in, "But if any evidence comes up against you I won't (say it with him) be there for you." Brady comes in and asks what Kate's bags are doing downstairs. Kate tells him she was thinking about moving out but sweet Victor talked her out of it. She leaves to take her stuff back to her room. Brady asks Victor what's going on.

Allie comes into the room with Rafe and Sami. After a while Sami recognizes her and tells her about Chloe, "She's in the hospital but she's OK. Except for a small coma they don't think she'll come out of."

Meredith writes and flashes back to telling Victor about Emily's death, "If only Emily had known what Rafe was really like maybe she would be with us."

Stefano tells Nicole Rafe and Sami's troubles are just beginning. Nicole asks him to stop going after Rafe.

Kate is back in Chloe's hospital room. "So pale," she drones, "So still, yet your cold heart still beats on. I guess I'll have to be content with that for the time being. It gives us presence to unburden ourselves to your eerie half dead presence."

Lucas says Chloe was onto Daniel, "She knew you were trying to kill her and that's why she said she didn't want you as her doctor."

Daniel tells him if he gives a damn about Chloe he will believe him, "If you want to save her, you will do everything I say."

Brady presses the issue of Kate moving out. Victor says she said she wanted to move in with Lucas to be with him during the crisis, "She also thought I wanted her out."

"Where would she get that idea," says Brady.

"Perhaps feeling my shoe slamming into her butt kicking her out had something to do with it," says Victor.

Kate waxes eloquent, "For all sad words of tongue and pen the saddest are these – what might have been. John Whittier if I recall correctly. When I think of what might have been if you loved Lucas like he deserved to be loved. Daniel and I might have found our way back to each other... Maybe not, but at least he wouldn't have humiliated me and my son. The saddest words of tongue and pen..."

Daniel tells Lucas to keep Kate away from Chloe, "And get Lexie down here so I can discuss Chloe's treatment with her. This is the only chance. Don not blow this."

Lucas wonders if Daniel will be able to live with himself if Chloe survives. "If she does," says Daniel, "she will leave you for me." Loserclueless laughs.

Victor tells Brady, "Kate has made a lot of mistakes lately. It would be terrible if one of them turned out to be serious."

Lucas continues to resist. Daniel continues to insist.

Kate rambles about her and Daniel's affair, "His touch was so gentle yet so passionate. I think I was falling in love, but now neither of us will have him... because of you."

Stefano isn't pleased that Nicole has done a 180° and doesn't want him to go after Rafe. He wonders if Rafe won't be able to jeopardize her future, blows his stack and says if his plan is aborted Nicole's life will be in ruins. He asks why she has had this sudden change of heart, "Your deception is treacherous."

Nicole whines, "I just wish this didn't have to happen at Sami's expense. I feel guilty over what I did to her. What is wrong with that?"

Stefano growls, "You can never look back, Nicole."

Sami has dumped Allie again. She tries to apologize for what she said but Rafe stops her. He assures her they are indestructible. Translation: As Barry McGuire would say, we are on the "Eve of Destruction."

Meredith sits with the letter and zones out, "Rafe will think this is my revenge. He'll think this is the end. And he'll be wrong."

If these people would get jobs and pay bills and looked after the kids they wouldn't have time to have affairs. Nathan & Melanie are hardly 19 and already medical professionals? Mia hardly looks 16 has had a baby, going to school, and has a job? Where are her parents? Phillip & Stephanie have no S/L. Hope doesn't look or act like a cop,she should be hm teaching Ciara how to be a Foo-Foo princess. The drama now DAYS is in politics, money & sex. Maybe if the writers use some of the Soprano drama it would spice things up a bit. But for goodness sake get rid of these whinnie teenyboppers.

for goodness sake get rid of these whinnie teenyboppers. Ah, Anon. They can't. You see, I think every soap has this inane notion they have to have teen drama thru the summer to try to entice younger viewers when they're out of school. The good thing, at least it's not the ENTIRE show like it was the horrific summer of Belle/Shawn/Phillip/Mimi searching for Alice Horton's ruby on some island. OMG. How did we live thru it?!

LOL over "She cheated before she was in the coma."

"Move over Sherlock Holmes, Sami Brady's in town."
I can't believe they even had her say such a stupid thing!

Sami erupts, "How could you say that? Lucas wouldn't do anything like that! He uses guns to try to kill people." And gaslighting someone to make them jump off a cliff and also framing them so they'll die on death row. And worst of all, limburger cheese on their car engine.

Loved the Chloe/Luclueless and Victor pictures.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the Sunday Prevuze. What a great surprise! Thanks. :D

Lucas is disgusted at Daniel's assertion that Kate tried to kill Chloe.

What kind of vacuum has Lucas been living in for the past 30 plus years? If Victor knows Kate is capable of murder, Lucas shouldn’t be dismissing Daniel’s accusations so readily.

"I think he was one of the Salem Serial Killers a few years back," says Nicole, "It's hard to remember, though, since we've had so many."

Maybe Luke O. Sistine was the gloved hand too.

"You can't be that stupid," says Daniel.

"You don't know me that well, do you," asks Lucas.

Right on Prevuze!!!

Sami blithers and tells Rafe about Chloe's poisoning, "How will I ever tell my kids?"

"Don't you have to find them first," asks Rafe.

…so true. Sami keeps going on and on about telling her toddlers about Grace and Chloe. Both Chloe and Grace were in the kids’ lives for about a millisecond, and a child so young really has no concept of death. Hmmm, let’s see. I believe Sami’s mother is a psychiatrist, and, even in Switzerland, Marlena is only a phone call away. Geez!

"It's a virgin mary," says Stefano. Nicole looks the word "virgin" up in the dictionary.

Very good Prevuze!!!

Nicole whines, "I just wish this didn't have to happen at Sami's expense. I feel guilty over what I did to her. What is wrong with that?"

After all Nicole’s declarations about doing anything to keep Sydney, this change of direction seems so calculated. Stefano is offering her the ultimate safety net, and now Nicole is starting to develop scruples. What’s that all about?

Now we have Meredith writing a letter to Sami ostensibly to let her know what a scum puppy Rafe is. Meredith carried on to Stefano about how the police investigated the accident, and it would appear the accident happened in Salem. Rafe filled out an application for a job with the SPD. Didn’t someone check him out? They would have at least pulled his motor vehicle record. In Illinois, accidents are listed on MVRs. All the mystery surrounding Emily’s death is beyond stupid.

Thanks for the great Sunday morning update Prevuze!

Just one more thing to be thankful for.....a Sunday Prevuze!

Leslie beat me to the comments about Luke O Sistine as the gloved hand. That's what popped into my mind as well. HAHAHA

Daniel wastes his breath by asking Lucas to think.

Prevuze got that right.

This recap was chock full of great pictures (Lucas/Chloe & the "Shorty" crack); great Prevuisms ("my Mom's oldest profession"); and new terms for the Prevuze lexicon (groparific history).

Looking forward to the Kate/Victor scenes. Vic is always a delight.

Thank you, Prevuze!
