Game Over

What do they say? Third time is a charm? On his third expedition to the Prevuze Compound, Norris finally found what was wrong with our satellite system and got it fixed. So it looks like we're back on track. To get started, here's a recap of what happened in the one feed we missed (The show that airs today in the US):

Roman warns Stephanie about the dangers of marrying into the Kiriakis family.

Chloe tries to tell Lucas about her affair with Daniel, but the inevitable interruptions block the way.

Kate offers Chloe the TV job again, but her motives are in question.

Mia and Nicole argue.

Grace runs into more trouble, and Sami fears the truth may have to come out.

Stefano reveals that he knows Nicole has Sami's baby.

And with that, as they say, on with the show...

We begin with hot music. Body part grabbing. Prosthetic grabbing. Phillip and Stephanie romp.

Stefano taunts Nicole. He tells her he knows the child in the hospital is not Sami's baby, and Nicole should know that since she has Sami's real baby. Nicole denies it. Stefano tells her she cannot keep secrets from him. Nicole continues to stammer and deny it. Stefano sits behind her and moves in close, "Game over. I know everything and I mean everything."

Daniel comes out and tells Sami Grace is very sick, "She has bacterial meningitis." Sami worries that Grace might not make it.

We pan away from a group of candles and find ourselves back in the chapel. Nicole begs Stefano to see reason, "Take your lies somewhere else."

"Take them where," asks Stefano, "Maybe the Convent of the Holy Cross or the Clinic of the Almighty Dollar?"

"The Clinic of the Almighty Dollar," repeats Nicole, "That's affiliated with Salem hospital, isn't it?"

Stefano lays out the entire story. All accurate. Sami's baby... Mia's baby... the switch... Nicole is, in a word...

BUSTED!

Stefano plays it cool and accuses her of wanting to bag EJ and his money.

Back at Sami's place, Will finds Mia crying and brooding. Mia says she is worried about Grace, but Dr. Will assures her Grace will be OK.

Daniel says he is very concerned. Sami can't understand how this happened. Sami breaks down. EJ steps in and wonders if finding the birth parents would help. Rafe walks in and Sami tries to communicate through the tears.

Phillip and Stephanie cuddle. This is nice," says Stephanie, "without you getting shot."

"That always helps improve my day, too," says Phillip. Less than optimistic Stephanie doesn't think things are over even though Owen is in jail.

Nicole comes clean, "How long have you known?" Stefano tells her it doesn't make any difference and accuses her of just trying to buy time and regroup. Nicole bobs, weaves and dances. She makes her case and reminds Stefano how much she has supported the DiMeras.

Stefano says, "I really love you, Nicole."

"That makes me all warm and runny inside," she says, "But I'm not afraid of you."

"That is stupid," says Stefano, "and you are not stupid."

"You've tipped your hand," she says.

"I can tip whatever I want," growls Stefano, "I hold all the trumps."

Nicole asks, "Why are you telling me and not EJ?"

"Because if I told EJ," says Stefano, "That would move this story along at a much quicker pace and we would never want to do that on DOOL."

Dr. Daniel gives the rundown on Grace's illness. He says they have to wait and see how the antibiotics do. Daniel leaves and Rafe reassures Sami. EJ tells them if they want to look for the biological parents the DiMeras have ways of finding things like that out. EJ doesn't know the half of it.

Stefano says the time to tell EJ just was not right. Nicole tells him she did all this for EJ and she doesn't give a damn about his money, "If you tell EJ the truth his world will fall apart and along with Tony's death it will be on your hands."

Sami asks to talk to EJ. Rafe leaves and Sami tells EJ Daniel said the birth parents can't help, and if they knew Grace was sick it would make things worse. EJ moves in for a supportive kiss and leaves.

Sami goes back to Rafe. She says she almost told EJ the truth. Sami tries to convince herself Grace will be OK. Rafe is supportive.

Inside the room of death, Daniel stares at Grace.

Phillip tells Stephanie this isn't her fight. She reminds him she will be a Kiriakis, so it is her fight. Phillip promises to protect her.

Stefano warns Nicole to be careful with what she says. He says he doesn't want word to get out and then have Sami file for custody of Sydney. He thinks EJ would lose that battle since he is married to the perpetrator of the fraud. Stefano doesn't want to lose Sydney any more than Nicole does. EJ walks in, "What are you two talking about?"

Will and Mia rush into the hospital. Dr. Daniel tells them Sami is with Grace. He tells them Grace has meningitis and doesn't know if she will make it. Mia nearly gets sick.

Sami and Rafe look over Grace and try to reassure themselves she will get better. Sami puts the St. Anne's medal on the crib, "God won't let anything happen to this sweet little angel."

Phillip and Stephanie sleep. Stephanie dreams about being trapped in the drawer and wakes up huffing and puffing.

Stefano tells EJ he came there to comfort Nicole since she is distraught about Sami's baby. EJ gives them the diagnosis. He tells them they don't have to do the genetic tests and asks to talk to Stefano alone. Nicole tells Stefano to take care and goes for coffee.

EJ tells Stefano they have a problem.

Mia leaves to regroup and Daniel comes up and asks Will if he is OK. Will guesses he is. "There is something you can do," says Daniel.

Sami starts to beat herself up about Grace's illness but Rafe stops her, "You didn't cause this illness. If anybody did it would have to be one of the babysitters. You haven't been around her enough."

Phillip sleeps. He wakes to find Stephanie gone. She comes back and says she just had to go wash her face. He asks if she is OK and Stephanie gives him the "I'm not OK" stare.

Stefano tells EJ to let him handle things. He says EJ will never be implicated in that Stephanie's kidnapping.

Daniel tells Will he can be a big help to his mom. He asks Will to go get the family. Will heads out on his mission leaving Mia to fend for herself.

Nicole finds Mia who tells her Grace is really sick, "It's like I'm losing my own baby all over again."

Rafe tells Sami Grace is a fighter. Dr. Daniel comes in for tests. Sami and Rafe tell Grace they will be back soon and leave. Daniel stares.

Phillip asks again if Stephanie is OK. It's Stephanie, of course she isn't.

EJ and Stefano arrive back at the mansion. Stefano suggests a drink to celebrate. EJ scolds, "If you make a move towards that bottle I will march you down to the police station. How about a cup of tea?" EJ asks what is going on with Owen. Stefano says he will take care of him and that's all EJ needs to know.

Mia and Nicole share a breakdown over Grace's situation. Mia says she is happy her own little girl is safe. Oh, the angst! She says she finally accepts that giving her kid up was the best thing to do, but it doesn't get any easier as time goes by, "I will regret it for all the Days Of Our Lives. We flash back to the birth. Nicole hugs Mia.

Sami lights a candle in the chapel. Rafe insists God will not give up on them. She says Rafe is giving her the strength to get through this. Rafe assures her he isn't going anywhere. They kneel at the altar together.

Daniel tells the nurse to page him when the cultures come back. He says Grace's level of consciousness is deteriorating, "If there is a change... code blue. Only the mother and father can visit and if you think it will help, say a prayer." After Daniel leaves, Mia and Nicole come in.

Mia asks, "Can I ask a question."

the nurse asks, "Are you the mother?"

Nicole steps in and answers for her, "Yes... Yes she is."

"Take them where," asks Stefano, "Maybe the Convent of the Holy Cross or the Clinic of the Almighty Dollar?"

"The Clinic of the Almighty Dollar," repeats Nicole, "That's affiliated with Salem hospital, isn't it?"

The Clinic of the Almighty Dollar – that’s pretty good. In fact, I like it.

Nicole asks, "Why are you telling me and not EJ?"

"Because if I told EJ," says Stefano, "That would move this story along at a much quicker pace and we would never want to do that on DOOL."

At least we can count on Prevuze to speak the truth. This silliness is going to drag on until the November sweeps. Since the DOOL consortium did such a bang up job in May, I can hardly wait for some more titillating action this fall. As if!!!

EJ tells them if they want to look for the biological parents the Dim eras have ways of finding things like that out. EJ doesn't know the half of it.

…or that he’s quite literally half of it.

"If you tell EJ the truth his world will fall apart and along with Tony's death it will be on your hands."

…and Nicole would be out on her bony rump.

Phillip promises to protect her.

If I were Stephanie, I would be flashing back to the quality time I had just spent with Owen. News flash to Phillip - Stephanie was snatched right from under your nose at the Kiriakis compound. Your promise of protection means squat.

He thinks EJ would lose that battle since he is married to the perpetrator of the fraud.

Fraud? I think the correct term is “kidnapping”.

Stefano suggests a drink to celebrate.

Have the DOOL writers already forgotten that they penned the words making Stefano a type II diabetic, put him in a diabetic coma, and included that he was danger of major organ damage? I’m going to hazard a wild guess in typing that Stefano’s diabetes will never be mentioned again. Geez!

The nurse asks, "Are you the mother?"

Nicole steps in and answers for her, "Yes... Yes she is."

Oh the drama!!!!

Prevuze and Bulldog, the pictures are all great, and the uplifting bra humor keeps me laughing. Thankfully Norris came through. He already had two strikes on him so the pressure was on to produce. Since he did a swell job restoring the cable feed at the Prevuze compound, perhaps he should journey out west to try to fix the train wreck that is DOOL. Hopefully, he will have an underwire bra in his tool belt. Finally, the real angst for the Prevuze faithful is over – Prevuze has a cable feed and is back in the business of snark!!!

Hooray for Prevuze!! I was worried when I saw 'Game Over' as the title and waited for the rest to load on my tiny Blackberry screen. As I eagerly read the ongoing drama of Norris and the Prevuze compound my fear turned to joy. Prevuze is back and as snarky as ever! :) Oh happy day!

Uh-oh. I never even thought of the association between the title and what had been going on with the cable. Maybe it was a belated "April Fool's" prank.

Anon #2 - that was my initial reaction to "Game Over" - Oh Crap! Imagine the joy and relief when I realized there was a new Prevuze.

I must say, Prevuze and its contributors are getting great mileage out of the underwire bra and phone reception gag. That tidbit could become a whole new chapter in the Guy Manual.

Poor Owen. I hope they bring Owen's "twin brother" into the show so we don't lose the actor. Once Steponme loses it and leaves Philip FOR GOOD again, the twin can show up to try and make up for what Owen did to our poor heroine.

And I wonder what excuse they'll have for Sami's mother, Marlena, not showing up to support Sami after the loss of her baby?

All pipe dreams and useless questions. I'll just have to be happy the snark is back thanks to Prevuze (and Norris).

I'd send a thank you note to Norris but he's probably sailed off to Portofino by now.

How come they haven't called in the Chief of Staph to assist on Grace's case? And since she showed up at Rafe's jobsite it's about time Arianna join Safe in the chapel to start harrassing him again.

One of the biggest (unintentional) laughs today - EJ saying the DiMeras can locate Grace's biological parents. EJ couldn't even find Nicole's rubber baby bump!

Such truth in this Prevuism: "You didn't cause this illness. If anybody did it would have to be one of the babysitters. You haven't been around her enough." The prime suspect being Caroline and the pub. HAHAHAHA

And this one, too: "That would move this story along at a much quicker pace and we would never want to do that." That must be a critical element in any DOOL writers contract.

I'm so happy Prevuze is back I don't even care it's not Friday yet. TGIP!

There is a GOD! Thank goodness that I don't have to watch the actual show anymore. The FF key on my DVR was getting worn out after the last week of DOOL.
