Kitty Cosmo

Marlena wanders alone in the dark. A hand reaches out and grabs her. Marlena gasps and squeals.

Prevuze

Chelsea meets Phillip at the Cheatin' Heart. She asks about Kate. Phillip is somber. Chelsea panics, "We need to be there!"

"We can't be," says Phillip.

The pub is closed. Max putters around and cleans things up as Stephanie comes in.

Nicole returns from her bubble bath. Tonight, she says she wants nothing more than the remote and her snuggly pillow. EJ suggests they go on that elusive first date together. Nicole rejects the idea.

Sami tries to grab the phone form Rafe. He holds it away from her as Sami begs, "Please just make sure that EJ doesn't find out. Or My family. That's all I'm asking."

Rafe says, "It's out of my hands." He continues to dial as Sami cramps up. Rafe stops dialing and stares. The camera zooms in on Sami's tummy and the bouncing folds of adipose tissue.

Rafe decides she's bluffing. He continues dialing. Sami huffs and ramps up the act. Rafe finally caves in. He stops dialing, "Are you OK?" She says she isn't and Rafe starts to dial 911.

John asks what Marlena is doing out there. "I was taking a walk in the park," says Marlena, "After that greeting, I'm also having a heart attack. "

"I didn't realize you were back," says John, "How's Erin?"

"That's Eric," says Marlena.

"Were you planning to tell me you were back," asks John.

"Only if I decided to torture you, " says Marlena. Marlena makes excuses for why she didn't tell him. John says he got the final divorce papers as the irritating John and Marlena tinkle music plays in the background.

"Is that what you want," he asks.

"It's not what I want," says Marlena, "But it's what has to be."

Smoke pours out of John's ears as his brain attempts to process that one, "What does that mean?"

"That means it's over," says Marlena.

Stephanie gives Max his shirt back as we see seductive soft porn scenes of her dancing around in it. "I hope you laundered it," says Max.

Phillip tells Chelsea Kate is hanging in there, "No one can see her because she had a bad reaction to the chemotherapy. You know, I had no idea one of the side effects of chemotherapy is broken fingernails. " Chelsea whines about wanting to see her.

"Kate is brave," says Phillip, "We have to be brave for her, too. We have to (say it with him) be there for her. We have to be strong."

WARNING: Make sure the guns in your house are unloaded because EJ and Nicole continue to go over and over the sameo-sameo endlessly until you want to shoot yourself. EJ thinks they need to get to know each other. Nicole thinks they are past the 'getting to know you' stage. EJ says, "Nicole, I really don't know that much about you."

Nicole says, "Maybe that's a good thing."

Sami insists she doesn't need an ambulance. Ambulance no. bucket-o-Prozac yes. Sami says she is sad to be there and sad to have to experience the baby's first kicking alone.

She thinks it's better they just keep the mystery alive, "You know what they say about familiarity."

"Yes I do," says EJ, "In fact, you could be the poster girl for 'familiarity breeds contempt.'" EJ suggests an unofficial non-date, "You'd just hate it. We'd have a little romance, talk politics, current events, whatever it takes to avoid the topic of us." He mixes a Kitty Cosmo and explains it's some sort of non-alcoholic drink suitable for pregnant mothers. He shares one with her because the mother shouldn't have to be the only one to sacrifice. Junior-Junior #1 kicks. Nicole has EJ feel the ruckus.

Rafe thinks it's convenient Sami had her attack while he was on the phone. Junior-Junior #2 kicks. Sami grabs Rafe's hand and has him feel the action.

With a bit of artistic magic, we pan from feely-scene to feely-scene. Oh! The action!

Rafe isn't sure if he felt the kick. Sami thinks he comes across as a big, strong FBI man but freaks out at pregnancy. Rafe insists he didn't freak, "I was just protecting the kid."

"Well, I'm protecting the kid, too," snorts Sami, "Or else I wouldn't be stuck there with someone like you."

Neither Max nor Stephanie wants the stinkin' shirt. Max says he hopes they can be friends after this. Stephanie whines, "I hope that, too... Someday." She turns and leaves.

Chelsea whines, "I want Grandma Kate to know I want her in my life."

"Let's keep that news from her for a while," says Phillip, "We want her to be motivated to get better."

John figures if it's over they probably shouldn't even be speaking. He starts to leave but Marlena stops him, "We don't have to avoid each other even though we aren't together any more."

"Dang," says John, "I was hoping there was some advantage to being divorced." Marlena asks if he has had any more episodes.

John is silent. Marlena wants to know if he's seen a doctor. "Doctors can't help me," says John, "Nobody can."

"You said those words to me 20 years ago," says Marlena.

"This show moves even slower than I thought," says John.

"You were Stefano's pawn then," says Marlena, "You pushed everyone away but finally let me in."

"Wow," says John, "Stefano must really have messed with my mind."

Marlena begs, "Let me help you... again."

"No thanks," says John, "This time I'd like to get better."

Nicole and EJ share another tender baby kicking moment. "I can barely feel him kick," says EJ, "He doesn't have much of a leg. That reminds me, whatever happened to Lin Elliott? ". OK, I know it's obscure, but believe me, it really, really fits.

EJ assures Nicole she won't go back to jail. She's sorry about putting a damper on the evening. EJ asks, "How could you possibly think you would do that." He moves in to undamperify the evening. Johnny clamps the damper right back down on things when he starts crying.

Sami says she would rather be on death row again than without her kids.

Rafe just can't believe the continuing escapades of the drama queen, "DEATH ROW? I'll bet it was the DiMeras."

Sami rambles, "Stefano should be on death row. Now my kids are living under his roof and Nicole is probably there, too. It kills me to have abandoned two of my kids to look after this one."

"What about your other kid — Will," asks Rafe.

"Will who?"

"What is your plan," asks Rafe, "EJ is gonna find out sooner or later. You wanna be the one to tell him or should I?" He picks up the phone.

Phillip tells Chelsea they can't give up. "I have to go," says Chelsea, "I have a paper due tomorrow: 'Einstein's Theory of Relativity vis à vis Quantum Mechanics.' I'd better get started. " They both leave. Phillip wanders outside. He hesitates and kicks a rock. Stephanie slithers out from under it.

John insists he is fine on his own. Marlena thinks he doesn't want to get involved because she would get hurt. Suddenly, John drops like the stock market after a General Motors earnings report.

EJ and Nicole discuss the baby. EJ just can't say how fortunate he feels to be there at the beginning of this adventure and to be part of their lives, "Of course, if I did say how fortunate I feel, I'd have to lie. "

Sami snags the phone and rants that EJ isn't going to find out. Rafe thinks part of her is dying for EJ to know she is having his baby. Sami doth protest too much, "Don't you dare ever say that to me again!"

Chelsea storms into the pub. Max comes out and finds her in tears. Hugs and tears. Tears and hugs. Hugs and tears. As Max comforts her he thinks, "So many nieces, so little time. "

Stephanie asks Phillip, "Can I buy you a drink? I think you should let me because you were (say it with her) there for me the other night and I think I should be (say it with her) there for you now."

Sami tells Rafe their future is in his hands, "But if you want to ditch me, fine... sell me down the river. Put an innocent child in the hands of the DiMeras."

Junior-Junior #1 kicks. "I feel like a right tackle for the Bears," says Nicole.

"Good, " says EJ, "In your condition, we wouldn't want you tackling anything. " Nicole says she feels like her and the baby are bonding.

EJ is still looking to undampen the evening, "Just like you and me." He makes another move. The phone stops the kissing.

Chelsea says, "I don't even know why I'm here."

"To torment me. " says Max.

"So," says the brat, "What's happening with you and Stephanie?"

"There is no 'me and Stephanie' any more."

There is a 'me and Stephanie' if the 'me' happens to be Phillip. Stephanie tells him after her course in alcohol immersion the other night, she's strictly on soda. Phillip reminds her of the job offer, "We could use a few good women at Titan. We could use you, too. "

Marlena asks what John was thinking before he collapsed. "I just imagined what it would be like to live the rest of my life with you," says John. He insists he's OK and says he is going to walk her to her door and won't take no for an answer.

EJ is on the phone with his client Ron. He tells him not to do anything and they will take care of it in the morning. He gets off the phone and tells Nicole a client is going through a bitter divorce. He turns his attention back to their unofficial date.

Rafe says he is anxious to get back to his regular life but won't compromise her safety to do that. Sami begs, "My life is in your hands. I know you wanna protect us but that includes protecting us from the DiMeras. I'm begging you not to make that call." Rafe decides to sleep on it. Sami whispers, "Thanks."

Chelsea tells Max she was jealous of him and Stephanie, "I was so not good for you." She fumbles around and spills her tea on Stephanie's sacred shirt, "I'll buy you a new one."

"Forget it," says Max, "It's just an old rag from an old hag. "

Stephanie thinks she could learn some things from a guy like Phillip. He presses. She accepts. "Welcome to Titan," booms Phillip.

John thinks Marlena seems different. She tells him Sami went into the witness protection program. Suddenly, John gets an idea.

Sami says she is exhausted, "I forgot how pregnancy can wear you out."

"It doesn't wear you out so much if you're not pregnant all the time," says Rafe.

Sami announces she's headed for the bathroom and then is off to bed. As she walks across the room, she thanks him again for not making that call. Once she is out of the room, Rafe picks up his phone and stares.

EJ cuddles Nicole, "I've nearly managed to put you to sleep."

"It worked for us, too," says a gal in the audience.

EJ asks, "Why don't you let me take you upstairs and tuck you in?" Nicole doesn't want to get up. She's comfortable right there. Snuggle.

Rafe stares at sleeping Sami. He calls her name. No answer. He opens his phone and dials.

Sami begs, "Please just make sure that EJ doesn't find out. Or My family.”

…or the French Foreign Legion, or the KGB, or the Canadian Mounted Police, or blah, blah, blah, etc.

Sami says she is sad to be there and sad to have to experience the baby's first kicking alone.

Huh? Sami gleefully ran off to the safe house so she could keep her pregnancy a secret from the baby’s father. With whom did she want to share those baby kicking experiences? Pookie?

With a bit of artistic magic, we pan from feely-scene to feely-scene. Oh! The action!

…and the symmetry!!! Barf bags for everyone!!!

Chelsea whines, "I want Grandma Kate to know I want her in my life."

"Let's keep that news from her for a while," says Phillip, "We want her to be motivated to get better."

That’s certainly cause for a set back.

Suddenly, John drops like the stock market after a General Motors earnings report.

Will this affect my 401K too?

Junior-Junior #1 kicks. "I feel like a right tackle for the Bears," says Nicole.

"Good, " says EJ, "In your condition, we wouldn't want you tackling anything.

Ouch!!! Actually, you are incorrect Prevuze. The Bears held the Titans to about 20 yards on the ground last Sunday but the secondary made a journeyman quarterback look like Joe Montana.

If Sami is so concerned about keeping her unborn child away from the DiMeras, why is Johnny living with them at the mansion? Just asking. If Marlena is a world class psychiatrist, why aren’t John and she in marriage counseling? Just asking.

Prevuze that Baby On Board shirt was right on target!! Thanks for another fabulous recap!!!

Oh for the love of...

Are they trying to resurrect Chelsea/Max. Is it really impossible for Max to NOT be interested in a niece? They so successfully wiped our memories of them why bring them back up?

"...whatever it takes to avoid the topic of us."

The audience stands up and begs, "Oh yes, please, please, please! ANYTHING but the topic of you two."

"You said those words to me 20 years ago," says Marlena. "This show moves even slower than I thought," says John.

We, however, are not surprised at all.

"Lin Elliot"

I confess. I had to click the link. You're right, Prevuze, it does fit. I guess, after that heartbreaking Chiefs' loss, I wiped the guy's name from my memory. HAHAHA

"I feel like a right tackle for the Bears," says Nicole. "Good, " says EJ, "In your condition, we wouldn't want you tackling anything. "

Ooooo, ouch Prevuze. That one stung.

Bulldog - you nailed one of my pet peeves! Yes. That's right. I can't stand it when jailhouse bitch-hos threaten pregnant bitch-hos.

That along with the "electrifying marriage" pics really tickled my fancy as did the newest addition to our Prevuze lexicon - undamperfy

And while Sami may need a bucket of Prozac, with episodes like these the audience sure doesn't. Thanks for staying awake long enough to bring us your excellent report, Prevuze!

Alas, I didn't even need the Lin Elliot link to recall excruciating memories of what he cost us. I swear, Prevuze remembers everything!

I'm still laughing over the warning for us to unload all guns in the house. Since the typical DOOL pregnancy is 18 months think how much longer this continuing EJicole dialogue is going to be rerun. I unloaded the guns but I'd better disconnect my gas stove!

And with all of the murders going on in Salem would anyone in their right mind take a walk in the middle of the night? Oh, excuse me, this is Marlena, John, Phillip, Chelsea and Stephanie we're talking about here.

Loved "so many nieces so little time" as well as the descriptive mention of the irritating John and Marlena tinkle music and Stax soft porn scenes. HAHAHAHA

Thanks, Prevuze, and happy Veteran's Day to all.

I am so glad I am not watching anymore & just reading Prevuze - I'd need to go out and buy a gun to shoot my TV for sure.

My favorite comment was broken nails when they said Kate is having a bad reaction to chemo. Quick, anyone who has had a good reaction to chemo, raise your hands. Assuming you have the energy!

I didn't have to work today, obviously. I recognized Armistice Day, and then turned my TV onto my favorite poison, DOOL.

Here are my favorite zingers from today:

1. "Let's keep that news from her for a while," says Phillip, "We want her to be motivated to get better."

2. Marlena begs, "Let me help you... again." "No thanks," says John, "This time I'd like to get better."

3. Phillip wanders outside. He hesitates and kicks a rock. Stephanie slithers out from under it. (THIS WAS HILARIOUS, I LAUGHED PRETTY HARD, LOL.)

4. "It doesn't wear you out so much if you're not pregnant all the time," says Rafe.

And of course:
5. As Max comforts her he thinks, "So many nieces, so little time. "

This guy is filthy. If Max truly felt like a member of the Brady family, he wouldn't boink all his siblings's kids. He makes me disgusted. He needs to move outside of his family circle! What a nasty kid.

Anyways, I know I said Nicole should drop EJ. and move on -- but today they were very sweet, when she was drifting off to sleep on his chest. It was cute.

But Sami and Rafe have the chemistry of two wooden boards. Sami needs a guy who's manipulative and way smarter than her. I would like to see her end up in a relationship akin to Gloria from Y&R. I think it would reveal a whole new side to her, and possibly help her grow up a little bit.

A LITTLE bit, mind you.

Peace, :)

Wow - 2 football zingers and you left the hapless Lions alone? Well - kicking is one thing the Lions have never had to worry about. They've had great kickers since I've been a fan. Unfortunately their offense doesn't get the ball deep enough into the opponents end for Jason Hansen to do much with his skill. As for tackling, I think that Nicole has a better chance of bringing an opponent down than any of the Lions defenders.

And for my "huh" moment of the day...

"What is your plan," asks Rafe, "EJ is gonna find out sooner or later. You wanna be the one to tell him or should I?" He picks up the phone.

Wait just a minute here. Isn't this the guy who freaked out yesterday because Sami was on the phone with the father of 2 of her children and now he's going to call the father of the other 2 of her children? Come on DOOL, at least give us a little bit of credit. First off, what business is it of Rafe's whether she tells EJ or not? Second off, why does he seem intent on letting her family know she's pregnant? His supervisors, yes - to arrange proper medical care. But anyone else? And thirdly, what protective custody guard in his right mind is going to allow anyone he's guarding to have any personal contact with someone from their "old" life - let alone initiate said contact! {end rant}

On a more serious note, I want to post a quote here that I read the other day in honor of Veteran's Day. "A veteran, whether Active Duty, Retired, National Guard or Reserve, is someone who at one point in his or her life wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'" Thank you to all who have served our great nation in any capacity, wartime or peacetime. May God bless you and your families and Happy Veteran's Day!!!

Well, even the Lions never had anything as hapless as Lin Elliott and the characters themselves actually brought up the Bears. Don't worry, the poor Lions are on our radar and if we ever get the chance...

And as far as the Bears/Titans thing, well Chicago might have stopped 'em on the ground, but what I saw was a big ole ugly "L" for the Bears. It's a team effort and, "There is no 'I' in team." Whatever that means.

Prevuze, you are absolutely correct but the right tackle did his job. The same cannot be said for some other positions. How many times in a row did Grossman go three and out? Don't worry. That's a rhetorical question. I don't want to know. Obviously, the Titans' coaching staff made some half time adjustments since they figured out they couldn't run the ball. What did the Bears's coaching staff do? That's another rhetorical question. After the loss, Lovie Smith said the special teams could be better. Perhaps, he's talking about you Mr. Hester. Then he suggested the defensive could cause a few more turnovers. Maybe it's more appropriate to ask your offense to score more points...refer back to Rex Grossman. Maybe the Bears can take a page out of the DOOL play book and find a way to resurrect the offense.

Leave it to Prevuze to find a way to combine Daze and sports!!!

OMG! I bow to your knowledge of the sport. I'd better stick to soap operas.

And... this relates to DOOL how... oh, yeah, everyone in Salem is a Bears fan. And if they're going to bet on the game, they should talk to Leslie first to get the scoop!
