Kate's Chemotherapy

Note: They transmitted a little snippet of Monday's feed after the show on Friday so, having nothing else to write about, I thought we'd just give you a little sneak peek at Monday's show.

This was from the part you saw in PREVUZE II where Phillip gets all hot and bothered about Kate's chemotherapy while Lucas stands around contemplating his navel.

Daniel finsishes leafing through his latest copy of 'Teen Girl' Magazine. He puts that aside and picks up his new issue of 'AARP Hotties' when Phillip and Lucas rush in. "We got your call," says Phillip, "What's going on?"

"Kate asked me to call you," says Daniel.

Phillip asks, "Why does she want to see us now? Is she..."

Daniel interrupts, "It's a critical time..."

Prevuze

Phillip trumps Daniel's interruption and panics, "Stop the chemo! Now!"

"That's not advisable," says Daniel, "If we stop it now, the treatment won't be effective, and more importantly, her insurance company won't pay."

"I DON'T TRUST YOU," shrieks Phillip, "I know the law. I'm the next of kin and I can legally stop this treatment. That's what I want you to do. NOW!"

Meanwhile, Lucas is preoccupied with attempting to trap a fly on the counter.

"I'll do that if it's what you want," says Daniel, "But listen to me first. It's true your mother is unconscious now, but that's not uncommon in this type of alternative treatment. Give it a chance, because it's her only chance. I've called in a world class chemotherapy specialist to oversee the treatment. He's the best there is. He's saved dozens of people who had no hope at all and I think he can save your mother."

"Who is this miracle worker," snorts Phillip.

"He's a doctor from New Delhi," says Daniel, "His name is Sabi Singh and I have known him since college. We also went to medical school together. You may not trust me, but you should trust him. He's the world's foremost chemotherapy expert. I would trust him with my own life."

The fly on the counter predictably outsmarts Lucas.

Phillip softens, "You say you went to school together. How well do you really know him?"

"He's one of my closest friends," says Daniel, "He's worked with me and we've been successful on many difficult and seemingly hopeless cases. He's more than a friend. I actually think of him as my trusted companion, and that's why I call him...

Chemo Sabi.

Sorry. If you possibly can do it after that, have a great weekend. I'll see you Monday and tell you what really happened between Phillip and Daniel. I have a feeling the fly will get away, though.

Saw 'Chemo Sabi' and for some reason thought as in the Lone Ranger "hi ho, Kemo Sabi". Wrong show, right! Maybe "Chemo Sami"?

Like Mr. Fly, maybe he can keep Lucas away from Chloe long enough for her to get back with Brady.

'Me Chemo Sabi! Me big doctor! Show me respect!'

Daniel's pretty much my new least favorite character. He's promiscuous, full of himself, and has NO shame. I would not want a doctor who hits on entire families to treat me!

I hope Phillip sticks it to him at some point. Remember the sucker punch episode? Score!

Have a good weekend, everyone, :)

Yes Kemo Shabi this is full of bull. But its probably the best dialogue this show has seen for a while. The Lone Days Watcher

Uh... er... well... it was supposed to be a play on the Lone Ranger's iconic "Kemo Sabe" (spelling variations abound) so if that wasn't clear I guess it's back to the drawing board...

Well, Prevuze, you really had me going. Loved the (for me) unexpected punch line.

Hi-Ho Silver! Awayyyyy.....to a great weekend. Thanks for the gotcha this morning. :D

Yep, same here. I was just going right along with the "snippet of feed" BS right up to the point Prevuze named the doctor.

"Hmmmmm, I thought. Something is up with this."

Even so, the punch line still was a "gotcha". Fabulous Saturday snippet.

You have to remember, the rule* is, if it's in italics, it's bogus, and the note was in italics. I'm shocked two seasoned veteran readers like you didn't catch on. Tsk tsk.

*The rule is also that Prevuze can break the rules any damn time we feel like it, so don't get too comfortable thinking you know the rules.

Go ahead and add me to the "Gotcha" Hall of Shame.
Although I should have known it was fake when the SL was actually holding my interest.

I bow to the master, Prevuze is King.

I was with you Prevuze. What a great read! I remember the Lone Ranger and Tonto episodes well, so Chemo Sabi was not hard for me to figure out.

I also am wondering if Rolf will not end up being the doctor who cures Kate, since he already knows how to bring people back from the dead, that shouldn't be too hard for him to accomplish to cure Kate of lung cancer? Once Stefano finds out that Kate has lung cancer, he will probably have Rolf save her life so she can become Stefano's wife. I don't think we should forget yet that Stefano has asked Kate to marry him. True, nothing else has been said about that, but I believe it will still prove to be an important part of Kate's cure. Let's face it! Daniel may have a lot of special skills as a doctor, but good old Rolf, has all doctors beat with his abilities. That was why I kept wondering all those months Stefano was incapacitated, imprisoned within himself, thanks to Marlena, why good old Rolf didn't just bring him back, like he had so many others on DOOL. The reason being, of course, was to see if the New John, could phase himself into our hearts as a keeper. Apparently, he did that. I personally like the way the writers are combining a part of the old John now with the new John gradually letting him mellow out a bit. He doesn't need Stefano's money. He is already a billionaire. So he can still be an adversary of Stefano's. According to a spoiler, New John will hire Steve to find Marino's killer, so Sami can come home to her kids again. Of course, we all know, that won't happen until after Sami gives birth in reality and has taken her maternity leave.

Again, thanks to Prevuze for another excellent DOOL script. I still say, hire Prevuze, and fire the DOOL writers.
