Screamin' Mimi

Jan stalks, “Kewpie, you’ve never let me down. Shawn is still hanging around Belle. He should love me.”

”The only way to keep Shawn away from Belle is to make her feel guilty,” Says kewpie.

“We have got work to do,” says Jan.

Shawn storms over to his window and sighs. He flashes back to Belle telling him they have to keep their promise. They can’t be together, “I know I made a promise Belle, but I don’t know how I am going to keep it.”

Belle ponders as she steps into the shower. She thinks about Shawn. A shadow appears outside the curtain. Belle screams, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!”

Phillip stirs. His captors look him over. He thinks, “They’re keeping me alive for a reason. They want information.” He looks up at one of them, "Look," he says, "I don’t have information. Keeping me prisoner wont give you anything.” He takes the butt of a rifle in the head.

The doctor has bad news for Mimi.

In Mimi’s room, Bonnie and Rex doze. Mimi wakes up and asks what’s going on. Bonnie asks how Mimi is doing. She’s confused. As usual. Mimi wants to know if she dreamed the doc had bad news. Bonnie and Rex don’t know what the news is.

The doc comes in, “In checking your pelvic organs, I saw something I didn’t like.” Your fallopian tubes are inflamed.”

Abby and Chelsea come in. Jennifer goes into the kitchen to make popcorn. Chelsea asks, “Where is it?” Abby holds up an envelope. They flash back to the girls doctoring up a report card.

“My mom always finds out,” says Abby.

Jen comes in and the girls start to leave. Jennifer finds the report card. "Wait a minute. This can’t be right," she says, as she looks it over. The girls stare.

Jack sleeps on the trawler. He dreams. “Look, I need a passport,” he tells someone in his dream. The ship rocks. Jack wakes up and runs out, "What’s going on?” He bumps into someone who tells him they are nearing their destination. “I’m going home,” he yells. A shady figure stalks him.

Abby tells Jennifer she did her best. Jennifer loves the report card. She is so proud of Abby. The girls go for the popcorn. Jennifer tells Patrick she is proud of Abby. Jennifer finds another letter from the school. The letter says the guidance counselor is concerned about Abby’s grades falling. Jennifer and Patrick are confused. Jennifer examines the report card, “She changed her grades and lied to me.” Jennifer calls Abby, “Explain to me how you got all As and Bs.”

No more stinkin’ laundry for Jack. He has to get around customs when they go ashore. But he’ll just call Jennifer. The figure listens. “Tony DiMera won’t get a second chance,” says Jack, “I’m going to go public with his scheme.” Jack sees the stalker, “Come on out,” he says.

Shawn wishes Phillip would call again, “Maybe Belle could work up the nerve to tell him.” He goes over to the computer, “I shouldn’t do this. She would kill me.” He sits down at the computer and begins typing.

Phillip,” says Belle, “What are you doing here?”

“I have been through something terrible,” says Phillip, “You, going behind my back.” First the haircut, now the betrayal. Belle says she is so sorry. She realized she is still in love with Shawn.

“You broke our vows and my heart.” He presses her hand against his bloody chest.

Back on the mission of death, Phillip hears a voice. It’s Belle. She tells him to activate his distress beacon. He can’t reach it. He struggles to get it.

The doctor says Mimi’s infection requires aggressive treatment. They can’t do anything about the damage it’s already caused. She will have to live with it for the rest of the Days of Her Life.

Jennifer is disappointed in Abby. She wants to speak to Abby in private. Patrick and the delighted Chelsea go into the kitchen alone.

Patrick asks if Chelsea had anything to do with this. Chelsea says No. Patrick asks why she didn’t help Abby. Chelsea says she’s not too bright herself. Her parents hire a tutor for her, and that’s how she keeps her grades up. She gets up onto a chair so she can reach the tea on top of the cupboard. Accidentally on purpose, she falls – right into Patrick’s arms.

Abby tells Jennifer, “I’m just dumb.” Even though it runs in the family, Jennifer says Abby isn’t dumb, but covering up the grades was a dumb thing to do. Jennifer says Abby has to get her grades up to get into college. “Who wants to go to college,” asks Abby. Jennifer decides she will get a tutor. Abby says, “Stop butting in, Mom.” She rips up the letter.

“I’m a friend,” says the shady figure. He’s here to tell Jack how to get off the freighter alive. Jack is all ears.

Shawn crafts the email to Phillip. He asks Phillip to call. He stands up, “Oh, I am sinking so low here.” Jan is at the door. She is there to give him one last chance to change his mind. Shawn tells her he keeps having flashes of a cage and handcuffs.

“Kinky,” says Jan. She would love to tie him up again, “There is nothing I would ever say no to.” Shawn goes back to the computer.

Belle trembles as she asks Phillip what they did to him. He tells her, “Belle, you did this to me.” She says she never meant to break his heart. He says when he found out, he lost his will to survive. He collapses. Belle screams.

Shawn runs upstairs. Jan sees the email on the computer, “Shawn, you’re just as bad as I am. And you’ve just given me the best idea to break up your so-called relationship.” Jan hits the “send” key.

Phillip can’t reach the beacon. He thinks, “You’re my strength. I couldn’t get through this without you.” He struggles to loosen the ropes.

Mimi will have pain until the inflammation subsides. The doctor wants to consult with Mimi in private. Bonnie and Rex protest. The doctor tells Rex, “Without a marriage license, I can’t let you stay.” Hmmm... there’s a crumpled and ripped one over at Sami’s he could probably borrow. Rex has to leave. Mimi asks if this is her fault because of the abortion. The doc says, “It is an unfortunate and rare complication of the procedure.” Mimi sobs.

Chelsea calls Patrick her hero. He gets the tea from the shelf as she checks him out.

"Don’t talk to me that way," yells Jennifer. Abby says Jen can’t treat her like a child anymore. She runs into the kitchen and tells Chelsea she’s breaking out of prison. She runs out. Chelsea follows and tells Jennifer, “Don’t worry. I’ll talk to her.” She tells Patrick she will take the tea another time.

Jennifer says if Jack was here he could get through to Abby.

The hooded figure tells Jack, “The hood is for your protection. The customs officials will be checking papers when you get off the boat.” Jack wants to know how much a passport would cost. He pulls money from a tin. He has a few bucks. The hooded figure wants it all. He gives the money to the guy, who hands him a passport. Jack says, “Hey, this is for a sixteen-year-old girl.” Jack chases him, “You thief.”

Belle doesn’t know if it was a dream, “Phillip was here.”

Outside the door, Jan thinks, "Guilt can kill you, Belle."

Belle tells Shawn about her hallucination. “We haven’t done anything,” says Shawn. He reassures Belle that Phillip is a good soldier and will get through OK.

Phillip works the ropes. He starts a coughing fit. The evil captor goes over and starts to beat him up, but Phillip escapes. He gets his captor down and knifes him.

The doc is sorry she couldn’t give Mimi better news. She leaves and tells Mimi to try to rest.

“If only I had just told Rex,” says Mimi, “I was stupid.” Bonnie says no, she was the stupid one. She gave Mimi bad advice. She just wanted Mimi to avoid the mistakes she made, “Can you ever forgive me?”

Mimi tells Bonnie, “Mom, you’re not the one who made me have the abortion. I can’t blame anyone else.”

The doc comes back in. Bonnie asks how long Mimi has to wait before having a family. The doc is silent. A pregnant pause, so to speak. Mimi can’t have kids. Sceamin' Mimi makes an appearance. Rex rushes in. Screamin' Mimi screams. She is so sorry.

Jan talks to kewpie, “When Belle sees what Shawn did in her name, she will freak out. The party is over for Shawn.” Jan leaves as Shawn and Belle come downstairs. Jan listens outside.

Belle sits in front of Phillip’s picture. "This could not be any more perfect," says Jan.

Belle reads the message on the computer. She can’t believe it, “How could you do this?" Shawn stares.

Phillip subdues his captor. He activates his beacon. The other captor comes in, aims his rifle at Phillip and fires. Phillip collapses. The evil goon shoots Phillip again.

Screamin’ Mimi kicks up the volume. Bonnie leaves. Her ears can’t take it.

Bonnie asks the doc if there isn’t something technology can do. The doc says even if Mimi could conceive she couldn’t carry the baby to term. Bonnie breaks down. She says she will be OK because Mimi is going to need her.

Screamin’ Mimi tells Rex it’s her fault. She can’t have his children.

Chelsea tells Abby to go apologize then she can go back to doing whatever she wants. Chelsea keeps her grades up and her parents stay off her back. She advises Abby to do the same.

Patrick says Abby is testing Jennifer, “She’s basically a good kid.”

Jennifer says, “Yes, but it’s so hard with Jack not in her life. Who will teach Jack Jr. what he needs to know? A kid needs two parents.”

Patrick says he realizes he is not Jack, but he’s a guy and he’s here and he will be with Jack Jr. Abby and Chelsea walk in as Patrick and Jennifer embrace. Abby says, "I don't need to apologize. Let's get out of here."

The stalker pulls a knife on Jack. Jack backs into a door. The door swings open to nothing but the deep blue sea. Jack falls backwards. MAN OVERBOARD!

I had to LOL over Phil saying first it was the haircut and then the betrayal by Mimi. HAHAHAHA

Also loved the line "altho dumbness runs in the family..." they're blaming Abby's report card on something else.

Keep up the good comments!
