Our Bonnie and Clyde Days Are Over

Nathan sleeps. He wakes up, looks around, gets up and starts to dress. Stephanie stops him and asks where he is going. "To find you," says Nathan, "Good morning."

"This isn't just good morning," says Stephaneasy, "It's a great morning. I found out I'm not pregnant." Nathan flops back on the pillow and breathes a sigh of relief.

Julie comes into Maggie's kitchen. She tells Maggie there is no change with Alice. Hope comes in and hears them talking, "What's wrong with Gran?"

Stefano comes back into the DiMera mansion and tells Kate he was out for a walk because he couldn't sleep. Kate thinks it's Madeline's fault, "I should kill the bitch."

"Suicide is never the answer," says Stefano.

Madeline and Chad sit in the Cheatin' Heart and arrange the graduation party, which will also be at the Cheatin' Heart. Will comes up to them.

Bo is on the phone at the hospital. He tells the guy he's talking to the elevator that took the dive was inspected recently and everything checked out. He gets off the phone and Carly walks up, "Chloe's condition hasn't worsened, but she's still unconscious." Melanie comes in and asks why Chloe and Carly were fighting. "We were arguing about your father," says Carly.

Maxine and Daniel are in Chloe's room. Daniel worries. Maxine tells him if there is anything she can do, to just name it. "Just pray," says Daniel. Maxine leaves. Daniel asks Chloe the vegetable what she was doing there last night. Chloe wakes up. "Daniel..."

"It's gonna be OK."

"No... I... ruined everything."

Melanie presses, "You're keeping something from me and I don't like it." Phillip overhears.

Daniel assures Carly she didn't ruin everything, "It was an accident. Just let it go."

"I can't," says whines Chloe, "Too many people know."

"What does that mean," asks Daniel, "You're confused. It's good to see things are back to normal."

Abe and Theo show up at Bo and Hope's house. Bo dumps the kids as quick as he can by asking Theo to help Ciara find her lunch box. The kids run off. Bo looks for Ciara's homework and it under the divorce papers.

Abe asks, "Does Hope know about those?"

Maggie says ever since Mickey died Alice hasn't been the same. Julie hugs Hope, "Our sweet grandmother is slipping away."

Back at the Cheatin' Heart, Chad tells Will his mom won't be staying. Will leaves to get something. Madeline worries that Will is there, "He's a junior. Are you going to have juniors at this party, too?" Chad reminds her since there are less than a half dozen kids in the school, they have to include everyone. He also tells her Will isn't part of the DiMera family. Madeline says she's not talking about bloodlines, but she's talking about influence. "It's just a party," says Chad, "relax."

Stefano rants, "Madeline Peterson-Woods. She has two names. What? Her husband's name isn't good enough for her?"

"Have you met him," asks Kate.

Stefano says Madeline threatened him, "You don't threaten me and get away with it."

Julie comes in with a list and says she'll call family and friends. Maggie breaks up. They reminisce about Alice. Tears flow. Maggie flashes back to Alice telling her to have faith in Mickey's love and they will be reunited soon. Maggie tells Julie and Hope she thinks their family is different. "Because we have her," says Hope.

"No," says Maggie, "She's just about the only sane one. It's the rest of us who are different."

Ciara and Theo are on the couch. Ciara says, "I saw my mom hugging a man last night."

"Hug," repeats Theo. He moves in and hugs her.

"No," says Ciara, "It was my mom." Ciara backs him off. The budding group of Thiaras in the audience see this as progress, however. "My treasure got taken," says Ciara, "I told my dad, but he doesn't believe me about anything."

Bo walks in on them, "What are you guys talking about?"

Daniel says, "Your blood pressure is a little elevated."

"Whatever that means," says Chloe, "I've told you not to use medical terms I don't understand."

Daniel thinks she needs to calm down, "Maybe if you told me how the accident happened."

"I don't even know why you were at the hospital," says Chloe. He tells her Carly is the one who called and left the message to come there.

Carly tells Melanie Chloe could have died and that's puts things in perspective. She leaves for her rounds.

Phillip joins Melanie. He says things looked tense between her and Carly. She says Carly won't tell her what is bugging her. Melanie turns and digs into the charts sitting at the nursing station. Phillip asks what she is doing. "I'm going to get Chloe's chart to see if there is something in there that might shed some light on this."

Phillip gets nasty, "What's in that chart is none of your damn business." Ooooooo... Trouble in paradise. Phillip backs off.

"I want to find out what my mom knows," says Melanie.

"You're not the only one," says Phillip.

Kate tells Stefano if the tape is made public the first person to be destroyed will be Madeline, so she thinks they should find out why Madeline is unhappy. Stefano tosses a baby toy across the room, "After we get the tape from her... and destroy it."

T-Man and Will stand at the pool table. T-Man says he thinks Chad's mom is hot. Will thinks there is something about Chad's mom nobody knows. Chad walks up to them, "You guys talkin' about my mom?"

Maggie calls Nathan. She tells him he should go see Alice, "She's crazy about you. If she doesn't respond to you, we'll know." Nathan agrees to go.

Ciara tells Bo and Abe she told Theo her treasure was stolen. Bo dumps them again by sending them out to play on the swings. He tells Abe he's worried about Ciara. Abe reminds him kids change when their parents break up. Abe thinks maybe Hope wishes she hadn't asked for the divorce. Bo says, "This marriage... it's over."

Abe says, "You're probably the last to get a clue about that. The rest of us in Salem figured that out when Hope moved out and you shacked up with Carly."

Will says, "Tad thinks your mom is hot." Tad tries to backpedal, but it doesn't do much good. "Well," says Will, "If you think she's hot now, you should have seen her in that picture with my grandmother." Chad wonders why his mom and Kate were in a picture together. The guys speculate about the picture.

"If they were once friends, it's all over now," says Chad.

Kate says she thinks it's a waste of time to look for the tape. Stefano doesn't agree, "Don't talk to me like I don't know what I'm doing. I'm already aware of that. I want that tape." Stefano says they have been peaceful for years, but now Madeline has crossed the line, "I'm going to retaliate and I know just where to start."

Julie and Hope sit at Maggie's table and talk about Alice. Maggie comes in and tells them Nathan is going over to see her. Hope says she has to give Bo the bad news and leaves. Julie wonders why Bo and Hope are apart, "She is still in love with him."

"And always will be," says Maggie.

Phillip finds Carly at the nurses station. He says Melanie thinks Carly knows something about Chloe that she's not telling. Carly says Melanie should back off and leaves. "My God," gasps Phillip, "She does know something."

Daniel examines Chloe. They talk about their wedding, "I know Melanie thinks we're rushing things."

Carly comes in, , "He's right Chloe. That's what it was."

Stephanie finds Caroline in the waiting area. She asks if Caroline is OK, "I mean about Victor's wedding..."

Caroline cuts her off, "If Victor wants to make a fool of himself That's OK with me." Translation: Hell hath no fury...

Caroline asks how things are going with Stephanie and Nathan. "He's the one," says Stephanie, "This week, that is.

Julie is on the phone asking Alice's oldest college friend to keep Alice in her prayers. She hangs up and says there were so many years Alice was the only mother she had and she never thought of her as her grandmother.

Flashback to Julie and Alice. Julie thanks Alice for loving her. Alice tells her we all make mistakes, but it's how we begin again that's important. Maggie reminds Julie she turned out pretty well. Julie says if she did, it's because of Alice.

Carly tells Daniel Melanie and Phillip are in the hall and he leaves to see them. Carly tells Chloe she's not going to say anything to Daniel, but doesn't think Chloe can contain this much longer.

Daniel tells Melanie and Phillip he thinks Chloe will make a full recovery. He doesn't think he could take losing the love of his life again.

Caroline wonders, "Why is Nathan the one for you?"

Because he's the one who can stand to be around me for more than five minutes without hurling," says Stephanie, "I did a stupid thing."

Caroline asks, "Does this involve you being pregnant?"

Stephanie says she stopped taking her birth control pills, but told Nathan about it, "I'm not pregnant by the way." Caroline is relieved about that, "My babysitting schedule is too full." She gets a call, "Oh my..."

Nathan shows up at Maggie's. He tells her he sat by Alice and held her hand, "She opened her eyes and said, 'Oh, Tom you're here.'" Maggie cries and says if Alice thinks she's with Tom, that's where she needs to be.

Melanie apologizes to Daniel about being a drama queen with him and Chloe. She asks when he last ate. Daniel says it was sometime yesterday, "I slipped away to a fast food joint. I don't dare eat at home when Chloe's cooking." Melanie leaves for the pub to get him some food. On the way she tells Phillip she's off. She also says she's going to the pub.

Carly says she's worried about Chloe and she thinks Chloe should tell. Chloe clams up and Carly leaves.

Kate wonders what else Stefano knows about Madeline. Stefano says he checked last night and found there is a safety deposit box at the bank Madeline hasn't opened in years.

Kate is impressed, "You got bank records in the middle of the night? You are good."

"I've been telling you that."

Bo flashes back to times with Alice, "I'm going to spend all the Days Of Our Lives with Hope and Shawn D." Hope comes in and hugs him and cries.

Madeline finds Chad. She tells him she's headed back to court. After Madeline leaves, Will comes up to Chad, who tells him his mom is all over his life, but he knows nothing about hers. Will suggests they find out what the picture of her and Kate really means.

Kate wonders how Stefano is going to get the tape from the safe deposit box, "We can't knock off a bank. Our Bonnie and Clyde days are over."

Stefano says, "Madeline will get the tape for us. Or someone who looks like her. She will walk right into the bank and tell them she lost the key to the safe deposit box."

Kate asks, "Just whom will you get to impersonate Madeline?" Stefano gives her a look. Kate does a double take, "No... no!"

Phillip comes into Chloe's room. Chloe says she's still worried about Daniel finding out about them, "There is something you don't know. Nathan isn't the only person who knows. Your mother-in-law Carly knows, too."

Hope walks up to Bo, cries and hugs, "It's Gran. OMG, Bo... she's dying."

Caroline gets off the phone and tells Stephanie the caller was Doug, "I have some very bad news."

Nathan is at the pub. Melanie joins him and asks if he's OK. Nathan stares.

Hope and Bo continue to hug. Carly comes in and soaks it in.

Phillip asks how Carly found out. Chloe says she heard her talking to Nathan, "She says I should tell Daniel, but she doesn't know the other person is you."

Phillip has a stroke, "If you tell Daniel, he will not let it go. We'll figure something out, but you've got to keep quiet."

Daniel walks in, "Keep what quiet?" Chloe stares. Phillip stares.

Bulldog, the pics were priceless this morning...such creative genius you are! :) But if EJ really wanted Sami to relax, wouldn't a glass of red wine and some Miles Davis in the background have the same effect??? Just sayn'

LOL at Stefano's "Madeline Peterson-Woods. She has two names. What? Her husband's name isn't good enough for her?"
Stefano...talk about a male chauvenist pig!!! I'm glad EJ doesn't take after him!

And Bo's merchant marine tresures are something all our fine marine boys would be proud to have a collection of...Prevuze, you are on a roll!

Will says, "Tad thinks your mom is hot." ...r they talking about Madeline-Peterson-Woods??? You gotta be kidding me...she doesn't seem the teenage boy's fantasy type...Pam Anderson, yes. But Madeline...

Happy Ejami kiss-day everyone!

"He's a junior. Are you going to have juniors at this party, too?" Chad reminds her since there are less than a half dozen kids in the school, they have to include everyone.

T, Mia, Kinsey, Gabi, Will, and Chad – yep, that includes everyone.

"No," says Ciara, "It was my mom." Ciara backs him off. The budding group of Thiaras in the audience see this as progress.

Thiaras – as it appears that several fan bases will be in dire need of a rooting couple, this is a most excellent development.

Chad walks up to them, "You guys talkin' about my mom?"

That would be a “yes”. Will and T are hoping Chad’s mom is a cougar.

Carly tells Chloe she's not going to say anything to Daniel, but doesn't think Chloe can contain this much longer.

Chloe’s pancakeification nearly killed her, and Carly, a doctor, keeps yammering at her about fessing up to Daniel. Good going Carly!

Kate asks, "Just whom will you get to impersonate Madeline?" Stefano gives her a look. Kate does a double take, "No... no!"

Stefano had better be good because the bank will probably want to see a picture ID before giving Kate access to a safety deposit box.

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, but I just had to give you my two cents about Ken Corday. I’m going to assume the guy is not stupid, so I’m pretty sure his comments were calculated. I also don’t think it was an accident that the article appeared after the conclusion of two rather large fan events especially since one of the events was organized by the largest Ejami fan site. Although both events raised lots of money for charities, they also gave fans the opportunity to meet their favorites. This is good for the industry because fan involvement helps to perpetuate a dying genre. Since his biggest stars were present at both events, Mr. Corday wouldn’t have wanted to put them in the line of fire to field questions about his inflammatory quotes. With that said, I have to wonder how he does his couple research. If Prevuze is any indication, it would appear that EJ and Sami have much more support than Rafe and Sami. Sorry Bulldog. Obviously, everyone who reads Prevuze doesn’t comment, and I’m not suggesting that Prevuze become a sounding board for the different fan groups. I wouldn’t want to put Prevuze in the middle on this one. However, since Prevuze is a neutral blog, it only stands to reason that a fairly healthy percentage of the readers prefer Ejami to Safe. Could this also be indicative of the general audience? Do you think Mr. Corday is trying to manipulate the viewers? No, never! Yeah right.

My LOL prevuisms this morning included Bulldog’s wicked, but “touching” picture, Sami’s favorite thing about having children, Bo’s Merchant Marine treasures:

Chad reminds her since there are less than a half dozen kids in the school, they have to include everyone.

and

The budding group of Thiaras in the audience see this as progress.

I believe it’s time to start stocking up on the tissues, folks. Alice’s passing is going to be a rough one.

Other than enjoying some great flashbacks, this is an extremely zappable episode. I leave you with one HUH?! And one of those unanswerable questions DOOL always leaves us with.

The upper-crust, high society DA’s family would actually throw their only son’s graduation party at the Cheatin’ Heart? HUH?!

Does no one wonder why Chloe pushed Carly out of the elevator?

Relieved to have Prevuze back on track and snarky as ever.

I am also surprised no one wonders why Chloe pushed Carly out of the elevator, and then it fell. The whole thing wreaks of Vivien! Yet none of them have put it together yet.

I think Corday is either careless or clueless. after all, he's had issues with 'loose lips' before...he just did an interview earlier this year that stated that philip/stephanie and melanie/nathan were the 'root-for' couples--and that was even before philip and melanie got married. i think he gets general outlines of how stories are going to pan out and spills his guts regardless of how popular an opposing fanbase may be.

on the other hand, a part of me does wonder why the ejami fanbase is so shocked by this turn of events. it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that the safe pairing fits in perfectly with this regime's view of sami as the new heroine.

Mr. Corday is certainly clueless if he thinks that there are more Safe followers than Ejamis. I have been watching this soap since 1970 and the only reason I am still watching is because of Sami & EJ. Anyone with any eyes can see the chemistry between these two characters.

I guess it's official - my years long exile from watching DOOL and keeping up with it via Prevuze will have to come to an end tomorrow since they're starting the tribute to Alice. What a class act Francis Reid was...if only more people in Hollywood took after her!

I do have to add my 2 cents worth about Corday's interview yesterday, as well - and I can't help but agree with Leslie. Part of me can't help but wonder if he's not just playing 'possum with letting it slip that Safe is the couple they plan to go with. Anyone who has read my previous comments knows I'm no EJami fan - but Safe is about as exciting as a colonoscopy (sorry Bulldog). Certainly Corday can't be that brain dead to ignore the huge EJami fan base...wait a minute, who am I talking about here - nevermind, he could be.

Will says, "Tad thinks your mom is hot." ...r they talking about Madeline-Peterson-Woods??? You gotta be kidding me...she doesn't seem the teenage boy's fantasy type...Pam Anderson, yes. But Madeline...

Well said, Betyar - my thoughts exactly when I read that!

Happy almost-hump-day, everyone!

Prevuze was bound and determined to get me the pink slip today. I couldn't help but laugh at Bo's "treasures" as well as the only kids in the school.

I have no idea, either, why Corday said that about everyone wanting Safe when everywhere most people are EJamis. He proably thinks he's throwing everyone off-track when they have every intention of the show ending with Sami and - - Lucas. Sami and Lucas will have a last day sudden realization that they are MFEO. Well you know how DOOL is, they never bother with past history or current plotlines. If it's improbable then they'll do it.

And what kind of security system does the Salem bank have? Must be the same contractor who handles the Salem University Hospital records system. HAHAHAHA

I'm looking forward to the Alice tributes to see some old familiar faces.

Great Prevuze today. Thanks! :D

I’m going to assume the guy is not stupid, so I’m pretty sure his comments were calculated.

Sadly I think his comments were calculated AND he IS stupid. Corday has seemed out of touch with the fans for a long time. Soap operas are a dying genre, and I think he should quit patting himself on the back for the ratings growth of a show that is still on ratings life support. 10% improvement from brink of death is still brink of death. His comments smack of trying to pit one fan base against another to keep his shows ratings up because the "quality" of the storylines won't bring in the eyeballs of their own.

That being said, at this point I'm neither an EJami nor a Rafe fan. I was never a Lumi fan. I am a Sami fan and I can honestly say that I like her character despite all of the LOSER romantic partners in her life. The greatest growth her character can undergo is not to end up with a holier-than-thou goody goody like Rafe, or a laughable mobster wanna be like EJ, (or a judge you in a way I fail to judge myself hypocrite like Lucas--yeah I said it, Lucas was a hypocrite) but to realize that she needs no one but herself. She needs to quit talking about getting a job and actually GET A JOB. She needs to both stop letting guys kick her around and also stop kicking herself around. What Corday has said in his interview has solidified for me what I've suspected all along. I'm going to have to quit this show because the producers will never give me what I want; they're too stupid to even understand what that is.

Once the memorial eps are done, it's back to Y&R for me.

Square i completely agree with you about Sami ! Corday also said in this ...interview that the strong Sami will come back (but i don't see a strong Sami if she is paired with a character like Rafe, since his introduction she became passive..hugh..) so give us a strong Sami Corday i am waiting !!
Otherwise i am looking forward to see the Alice flashbacks..particularly the young Julie with Alice !! Finally a good thing !

If Sami is the new heroine than this show is even duller than I thought. I want old feisty spit in your eye Sami. Drone Sami 2.0 is dull. Not as dull as our Starfish but close enough.

I read this as Bo relating a story about talking to the elevator until I got to the "was" and had to start the sentence over again!
