A Resolution

WHEREAS Most of you took Friday off making it a four-day weekend and

WHEREAS They now not only show endless college football bowl games on New Year's Day, but also carry them over to the next day and

WHEREAS You don't give a flip about the bowl games but your spouse was glued to the set and just had to break out the beer and chips and dip to enjoy the full effect of the experience and

WHEREAS You ignored the football but not the beer and chips and dip and

WHEREAS The NFL playoffs are now in full swing and, hey, you can't watch a playoff game without the aforementioned chips and dip (and that incredible trail mix you make) and

WHEREAS You really should use those restaurant gift cards you got for Christmas before you forget about them and

WHEREAS Your New Year's resolutions will be down the drain by the end of next week anyway

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: The diet starts Monday.

I made a great New Year's Resolution a few years ago and haven't broken it yet.

I resolved not to make any more resolutions.

It's worked out great. Now, pass those chips over this way, please.

Nice try, Prevuze! Have a great year and I'll(say it with me) be there for you.

Thought I'd check in with Prevuze between going out for breakfast and going out for lunch.

But what I want to know is when I'm at the restaurants how come every person in my town doesn't show up where I am? They always do in Salem. They all decide to go to Chez Rouge or The Cheatin' Heart or the Brady Pub at one time. What gives?

Well, maybe I'll find the answer before we go out to dinner. In the meatime, I'll think about that diet on Monday and thanks for thinking of us and the Saturday edition, Prevuze. :D

LOL at Dr. Baker's "baby nursery". How bad is it, when Nicole is the best thing DOOL has going for it. Sigh!

That was great! I work for a bunch of stuffy lawyers and I can tell you that language is up there with the best of them. Excellent!

Nicole needs to step back and look at this thing. She is desparate to find a baby so EJ will love her. Ok...Love HER or love the Baby? If EJ loves her, no problem. She's still alive. She thinks he can't love her without a baby. This chil's messed up.
I also love how they closed up Chez Rouge and left all the lights on and a roaring fire in the fireplace. They may be green. But, left like that all night, they'll be toasty charred in the morning.
Sami has a nice supply of maternity clothes for someone who is constantly growing out of her clothes and can't get away to shop for more. That was a nice pj set she had on the other day. I liked the pink one. It looked good with her hair color.
Will Dr Dan and the posterchild for eyeliner EVER do anything other than stare at each other? It seems like such a waste of film to show them staring at flashbacks all the time.
It did have a good scene with Lucas and Kate though. I thought it was classic to see Lucas with that confused, teenager look on his face and Kate with that expression where her tongue makes suction with the roof of her mouth for what seems an eternity. Does she realize that looks gross? Who wants to see the underside of her tongue?

Amen Prevuze! The diet does start Monday, and boy do I need it! Or else I might need to start wearing my Holloween outfit to be able to leave the house! That pink PJ did look awfully cute on Sami, I thought. Did anyone else think it was too coincidental that she was wearing a pink PJ and Rafe was wearing a black tank top? It was the exact same colors she and EJ were wearing the night they conceived this child. Coincidence or not???

I bought a treadmill yesterday so the diet starts the day it is delivered. The treadmill was on sale. Unfortunately, I also took advantage of Fannie May's 1/2 price sale on Christmas boxed Pixies...do you see a pattern here? I have a terrible time passing up a good sale. Undoubtedly, those Pixies will be gone by the time the treadmill is delivered. Now, let's hope lettuce is on sale.
