Psycho

Phillip and Stephanie jump each other's bones.

Bo has an hallucination about Theo. Theo falls. Bo reels. We're not certain how Theo is, but Bo nearly breaks his neck.

Dr. Baker tells Nicole Mama2B changed her mind. Nicole wants her name.

Theo lies unconscious on the floor. Lexie huffs and puffs.

Bo huffs and puffs. He calls for an ambulance.

Lexie begs, "Theo, honey, it's mommy. Can you hear me? Sweetheart, answer me!"

Prevuze

Hope comes in and Bo tells her they can't go to the Lodge for their romantic getaway. "You've had another premonition, haven't you," asks Hope.

"Yes," says Bo, "It was terrifying. I saw us at the lodge having sex and decided we have to call it off."

Stefano calls 911 while Lexie panics. He finds out an ambulance is already on the way, hangs up and tells Lexie. Lexie falls apart.

Daniel comes in to visit Kate carrying a package, "It's 'Sleepless in Seattle.' We talked about watching that, so I rented the tape."

"It'll be a cute trick getting it into the DVD player," says Kate, "I want to spend time with you, but not watching a movie. I've got something to tell you. I've decided to take my life in a new direction."

Daniel looks 'I've decided to take my life in a new direction' up in the Guy Manual. It advises, "The condoms you brought with you also make great water balloons."

Bo and Hope show up at the DiMera mansion as they wheel Theo out. Stefano gives Hope the recap about Theo's fall. Bo zones.

Nicole wants to talk to Mama2B "mother to mother." Dr. Baker reminds her she's not a mother. Nicole nukes, "I gave birth to a baby girl and will love her forever!"

"You're a psycho," shouts Baker, "I call the shots around here." Nicole grabs Mama2B's file and runs. Baker steams.

Phillip and Stephanie. Stephanie pants, "I love being with you." Phillip huffs and puffs, "I love being with you, too." Phillip suddenly jolts and gives Stephanie Sami's line, "We can't do this!"

Kate gives Daniel his walking papers. Daniel gasps, "So it's over?"

"What part of 'over' confused you," asks Kate, "I feel like I'm living on borrowed time. I want to be on my own. I want to expend my energy on my children, family and myself. You were important in my life. You will always be in my heart."

Daniel looks up 'you will always be in my heart' in the Guy Manual. It advises, "You have some dignity left as long as she doesn't say, 'It's not you, it's me.'"

"It's not you, it's me," says Kate.

The paramedics wheel Theo into the ER as Lexie bawls and screams. Bo, just to be cheerful, tells Hope the whole situation reminds him of being there with Zack. Tony rushes in and they give him the story.

A doctor drags Lexie out of Theo's room kicking and screaming. Tony talks her into staying out of their way, "They only want doctors in there." Stefano and Lexie argue over who should contact Abe. Lexie beats herself up for being a bad mother. "You're a fine mother," says Tony, "You're as good a mother as you are a doctor."

"OMG," screams Lexie, "I didn't realize I was that bad!"

Nicole reads the file and wanders through the maize of trash cans on the seedy side of town. Mia comes up and she introduces herself, "Who are you?"

Nicole says, "I'm Nicole. Dr. Baker said I could find you here."

Mia asks, "Dr. Baker?"

Nicole says, "I'm the woman who's going to adopt your baby." Mia says she changed her mind. Nicole understands and softly explains how she will deliver the kid right there and take it if Mia doesn't cooperate.

Stephanie is oh, so humiliated, "This isn't doing a whole lot for my ego."

"I care about you way too much," says Phillip.

Stephanie sneaks a peek at the Guy Manual and looks up, 'I care about you way too much.' It advises, "Plan on a cold shower tonight."

Stephanie says she doesn't care about all the other women in Phillip's life, "When I'm with you I live in the moment."

"That sounds like something I should try," says Phillip. He dives back in.

Kate continues to dump Daniel like yesterday's garbage, "You have brought out the best in me."

Daniel looks up 'you have brought out the best in me' in the Guy Manual. It advises, "You haven't lost all self respect unless she says, 'We can still be friends.'"

"We can still be friends," says Kate.

Daniel gets a call. He tells Kate, "It's an emergency. I have to go." He rushes out and leaves the video tape. OMG! The late-fees!

Tension reigns at the hospital. The EMT wants to know how Bo knew to call the ambulance, without being at the scene. Bo stares.

Tony insists, "Alexandra, you are a mother... The mother of all bad doctors." Lexie blames herself for not watching Theo. Tony says she can't watch Theo all the time and he has to learn independence.

"I have to choose between being a good mother or a good daughter," says Lexie, "If Theo pulls through I know what I have to do. I'll be the best daughter ever."

Nicole works on Mia.

Stephanie and Phillip decide they made the right decision. "Not the easy one, though," says Stephanie, "But this relationship is different for me."

"It's different for me, too," says Phillip.

Bo and Hope step aside to talk. Bo, as usual, can't explain what's going on.

Daniel comes in and they wheel Theo out for a CT scan. Lexie tells Tony she has learned a lesson from this, "Autism isn't so bad. Theo speaks without words."

"I wish you could learn to do that," says Tony.

Mia says her life is totally messed up, "My apartment... you wouldn't believe the cockroaches. I'm a dancer..."

"Well," says Nicole, "I could tell you weren't an actor."

Mia breaks down, "What if my mom didn't want me? How would I feel?" Nicole promises to love the baby with all her heart. Mia decides Nicole isn't so much of a stranger any more. Nicole gives her the "someday you will find love" baloney. Suddenly, Mia sees Nicole's engagement ring, "What's that?"

"It's my engagement ring."

Bells and sirens go off, "YOU'RE NOT MARRIED? OMG! I CAN'T GIVE YOU THIS BABY IF YOU'RE NOT MARRIED!" Mia stomps off as Nicole breaks down.

Phillip suggests he and Stephanie go on a real date... without Melanie. He suggests dinner. They dive in for the appetizer.

Prevuze

Tony can't contact Abe. Hope and Lexie talk. Lexie says she knows Hope understands what she's going through all too well. "I understand too," says Hope, "and I'm (say it with her) there for you."

Stephanie and Phillip find Kate. Kate chases Stephanie off so she can talk to Phillip.

Nicole catches up with Mia. She insists EJ and her are committed, even though they are not married. Mia asks, "Why do you want a baby so bad?"

"I'll tell you," says Nicole, "I'll tell you exactly why."

Kate tells Phillip she has always thought Stephanie would be the perfect girl for him. She announces she's giving an engagement party for Chloe and Lucas tonight and invites Phillip to bring Stephanie.

Nicole gives Mia the story about not being able to have kids, then miraculously getting pregnant but losing the baby. Since the genetics are right and all that Nicole thinks this would be perfect. She promises to take care of the baby and Mia.

Things get more tense in the waiting room. Bo says he doesn't want any part of what's happening. Daniel comes out, "We have the test results."

Nicole says, "I don't want to pressure you." She pressures. Mia decides to give her the baby.

Stephanie returns. Kate says, "I was just telling Phillip I'd like to see more of you."

"Phillip would like to see more of me, too," says Stephanie.

Daniel gives the word on Theo, "He has a subdural hematoma. We need to release the pressure... with surgery."

"Brain surgery," gasps Stefano.

"No," says Daniel, "I thought we'd operate on his foot. It's less risky." Stefano immediately takes command and says he respects Daniel but wants his own specialist. Daniel tells him there is no time. Tony runs off to find Abe.

Lexie plays like she understands medicine, "What protocol are you going to use?"

"It's an experimental procedure," says Daniel, "Hunt and peck."

Nicole is ecstatic, "You remind me so much of me. I feel a real connection. I will be the kind of mother you want for this baby."

"There is one more thing," says Mia, "I want to meet the father." Oops.

Prevuze - best medical blog on the web! Loved the Lucas picture with him praying for Shawn to come back!! For some reason, this episode looks interesting, maybe it's just the way you described it Prevuze as you have such a way with words. No Lucas, No Sami, no Rafe, no Melanie - oh the possibilities! But alas no EJ :( I guess we can't always get what we want, like a decent story. Now let me guess....somehow this brain surgery cures Theo of his Autism? When did Dan become a brain surgeon? Are all the doctors at Salem General specialists in everything but nothing....oh ooppss! I digress, again.

Lexie begs, "Theo, honey, it's mommy. Can you hear me? Sweetheart, answer me!"

Why isn’t Lexie checking his vitals? Doesn’t she watch “ER”?

“I've decided to take my life in a new direction."

Daniel looks 'I've decided to take my life in a new direction' up in the Guy Manual. It advises, "The condoms you brought with you also make great water balloons."

Condoms? A condom can be found in Salem?

Nicole nukes, "I gave birth to a baby girl and will love her forever!"

"You're a psycho," shouts Baker.

What was your first clue? What Nicole really deserves is a nervous breakdown complete with a straitjacket.

Nicole gives her the "someday you will find love" baloney.

That goes along with the “someday my prince will come” malarkey.

"There is one more thing," says Mia, "I want to meet the father." Oops.

Not to worry…I bet she drags out Brady. I can’t believe someone hasn’t spilled the beans on the dueling pregnancies. Come on. Aren’t Nicole and Chloe BFFs? Why hasn’t Chloe told Nicole about Sami? If Dr. Baker hadn’t been a baby broker, what would Nicole have done? If she can’t find the right mommy/daddy combo for her adopted baby, what is her plan B? Geez.

Well, well, Dr. Dan is a brain surgeon too. With all his skills, I wonder if he can remove hemorrhoids. With all the pains in the butt in Salem, he could certainly find himself very busy. Where to start, where to start!!! The choices are absolutely endless.

I really enjoyed all the quotes from “The Guy Manual”. Hopefully, someone gave a leather bound and autographed copy to Dr. Dan for the holidays. I loved the monkey sex and Lucas praying for Shawn’s return photos. What a great way to start the week!!

I think Mia got her lines wrong on this eppisode...instead of saying ""I want to meet the father" she should have said ""I want to meet the sperm-donor." With Nicole the possibilities are endless...EJ, the one time "stuck in the elevator sex"...Trent, the x-hubby she tried to kill...Victor, the x-hubby she tried to kill...Dr. Copafeel, whom she met at the pub once...John, whom she had a date with once...The guy she picked up at the bar when Ava and her had their "sluts night out"...Nick, the bartender who shakes her martinis...am I forgetting anyone??

Yes, Betyar, you're forgetting the one night stand with Roman the day before Nicole lit out for California. Grant you, that was a while back. But with the way they bend time here in Salem perhaps Pard was packing time-delayed sperm!

"It's not you, it's me," says Kate.

This and the subsequent references to the Guy Manual were fabulous. The Manual got a real workout today.

The entire hospital sequence had me laughing my head off from:

Bo, just to be cheerful, tells Hope the whole situation reminds him of being there with Zack.

To:

"You're a fine mother," says Tony, "You're as good a mother as you are a doctor."

"OMG," screams Lexie, "I didn't realize I was that bad!"

To:

"It's an experimental procedure," says Daniel, "Hunt and peck."

My HUH?! moment:
Kate tells Phillip she has always thought Stephanie would be the perfect girl for him.

I can’t even come up with a comment on that bit of it's-news-to-me, except HUH?!

The pic of Stephanie's earrings was great. I had to stop and wipe of my monitor when I hit the one with Lucas' prayer. You guys are so BAD!

Thank you for a great Monday kickoff.

No applause, please, as you will all kindly refer back to my amazing prediction a few days ago of how the great DR. CARVER would handle the medical crisis. And what if the great Karnak had sent an ambulance over there and he was wrong?

Awwww....Ho and Dope had to cancel their romantic getaway. Was this to relieve all of the stress of the hard work they've put in lately?? HAHAHAHA

LOL over "Brain surgery," gasps Stefano. "No, says Daniel. I thought we'd operate on his foot. It's less risky."

Great pictures and Prevuisms to get us going today. Thanks! :D

Hey, Bulldog -- speaking of the Great Carnac...

The answer is ... inner, oil change, Lucas Horton.

The question is ... name a tube, a lube, and a boob.

And Prevuze, PLEASE tell me Tony didn't really say to Lexie "You're as good a mother as you are a doctor". Talk about gag me with a spoon!!!

I actually don't remember. We at Prevuze do not guarantee the accuracy of any individual bit of dialog or description of a scene. Rather we attempt to "foment a gestalt" with some degree of accuracy but, again, no guarantees.

In a recent episode, Sami reeled off a chain of about five people who meant something in her life. Horror of horrors, EJ was in the list along with Lucas, the twins and Will. I forget if any other unlucky SOB was in the list or not, like... oh, I don't know... maybe... HER PARENTS. Anyway, attempting as I always do to type and listen at the same time, I plopped in the names but got the order different than Sami's exact dialogue. So later that day, I got a scathing email from an irate Lumi fan scolding me for being so irresponsible to list EJ in the oh-so-meaningful, dialogue before Will when in actuality, Sami listed Will before EJ. The Lumi fan went on to "educate" me that because she mentioned Lucas and Will before EJ it proved how Sami loved them and how EJ was nothing more than an afterthought.

I really didn't have the heart to tell her that if you list the people who have been meaningful in your life and only list maybe a half dozen or so I doubt any of them are really afterthoughts, no matter what order you list them in. I also didn't have the heart to remind her that the people who write this show are so poor at what they do that it's really an exercise in futility to try to ascribe any meaning to something so trivial as the order of words. With this crowd, we're lucky to get dialogue that is something other than words picked at random from a Dick and Jane reader.

So, no guarantees about the dialogue. But it really kind of fits because if Lexie WERE as good a mother as a doctor Theo would be in danger of, say, falling down a flight of stairs and nearly getting kille... never mind.

Mia looks like she's about 11 years old. And she's supposed to be a dancer? Maybe she was a snowflake in the Nutcracker.

The DOOL doctor thing is so goofy, with any doctor on the show delivering babies, doing every kind of surgery, transplants, working in the ER, basic check-ups, etc.

When will I learn that it's never safe to read any portion of Prevuze, comments included, with any sort of food or beverage in your mouth?

Loved the recap today - especially all of the guy manual exerpts and in particular, this one:

Daniel looks up 'you will always be in my heart' in the Guy Manual. It advises, "You have some dignity left as long as she doesn't say, 'It's not you, it's me.'"

"It's not you, it's me," says Kate.

I was ROTFLMAO at that one - got some funny looks from co-workers, too.

You're a fine mother," says Tony, "You're as good a mother as you are a doctor."

"OMG," screams Lexie, "I didn't realize I was that bad!"

That bad at which, mothering or doctoring? Oh yeah - rhetorical question.

My huh moment of the day:

Nicole reads the file and wanders through the maize of trash cans on the seedy side of town. Mia comes up and she introduces herself, "Who are you?"

So was Nicole just wandering and she happened to run into Mia? Or did she set up a meeting with the woman whose baby she hopes to adopt in a seedy alley rather than in a Denny's or somewhere like that?

Lexie tells Tony she has learned a lesson from this, "Autism isn't so bad. Theo speaks without words."

"I wish you could learn to do that," says Tony.

A gal in the audience jumps up and says, "So do we!"

Thanks for taking another one for the team, Prevuze!

I believe they set up a meeting, but wouldn't swear to it. I refer you to my previous diatribe on accuracy.

Oh my, Prevuze, you were mistaken for an enemy combatant and pelted with virtual Jujubees!! Prevuze is now offically "collateral damage" in the Great Lumi/Ejami War.

I wonder how low they wll let Niho go. She is getting on my nerves. Its The Days of Nicole's Lofe. Not DOOL anymore. She will probably get away for everything. If they let her "steal" Sami's baby I hope Sami and Ej find out real soon. This will get them back together so they can go on a desperate search for their baby. Niho can than get what she truly deserves. I dont know how anyone can like Niho. Be sad for her that she lost her baby. Say she changed. Come on face reality here Niho will never change and never get any pity from me.

AS for Daniel and Chloe. The town hound and the town slut. Where are Chole morals. Barf. Glad Kate gives him the boot.

I like reading some of the comments..but do you guys REALLY have to Re-cap the entire RECAP???
It's retarted! or is that redundant?

4:52 PM
Blogger Unknown said...

Anon- They're recapping the parts they enjoyed. It helps as one doesn't have to scroll up and find the particular part they were speaking about.

Beside's no one did what you said and the only thing 'retarted' is your spelling of retarded.

All that aside, Dr. Dan is going to treat Theo? Really??

Applecheeks, Kate tried once before, I believe with the Old Stephanie to get her to 'spend time' with Philip.

I have only gotten one angry email, from an EJami fan after I posted a 'diatribe' (which it was really just a minirant) of the EJ rape debacle. Nuts come in all flavors I suppose.

I loved Melanie's analysis of a person she has known less than a few months. Kudos.

Also why is everyone on the show anti-philip now? It's weird how the sudden people are warned about a persons behavior, that said person begins to behave EXACTLY like the warning. Even if they were perfectly reasonable before.

Prevuze, I laughed so hard when I heard your recap of the Lumi incident, and I must concur that you seem to have gotten pelted with the infamous virtual Lumi Jujubees! I've been on the receiving end of such pelting a couple of times. Not a pleasant thing! Is "Irate" not a personality flaw? Anyway, the other thing you probably forgot to mention to them is that right after Sami mentioned EJ, Rafe got upset because Sami mentions EJ ALL THE TIME....not Will, not Lucas, or the other poor SOB we all forgot about....only EJ. Which would imply that EJ is the one guy that's on her mind the most often. Huh?
