Demented SOB

Marlena vegetates as John announces his intentions to kill Colleen. "What," he sneers, "You think I'll go to hell if I kill you?"

"Hell will be a walk in the park if ye slit my throat," says Colleen, "Ye might get off and be stuck with Marlena fer the rest o' yer life."

Shawn covers Claire and flashes back to the Clairenapping / Bellebonking. Claire has fond memories of it, too but thinks, "Alas, all good things must come to an end." Shawn remembers his vigil in the hospital.

Patch and Kayla stammer around but finally tell Bo they have to get him back to the states. Hope interrupts and senses something is wrong. Bo scowls.

Victor says he asked Crawford to stop going after Chelsea so he thinks things are taken care of. The crowd doubts it, but Victor reassures everyone. Roman comes in with the autopsy report, "It says Ford died falling down the stairs."

Chelsea says, "So there is no way I could have killed Ford, right?"

Roman says, "I'm not sure. Did he actually see you naked? "

John mocks Colleen and chuckles. He insists he was condemned to hell a long time ago. She insists if he murders her he'll never find peace.

Belle comes into the room with Shawn. Shawn remembers Belle's reaction after getting Claire back, and Patch and Kayla's arrival with OMB. Belle asks, "Is something bothering you?"

Shawn says, "Steve and Kayla just showing up like this... something's off."

"You mean besides us," asks Belle. She thinks maybe he's being paranoid, "Kick back, close your eyes. Shut your brain off for a while."

"Shut it off," asks Shawn, "I've never figured out how to turn it on."

Hope pries. Bo evades. All in all, Hope thinks this was a pretty great day. Patch suggests going out. Bo declines, but Patch talks Hope into going. Once they leave, Bo looks at Kayla and his eyes pop out of their sockets.

Roman says Decker is looking for someone to blame. Victor insists Decker has been taken care of. The doorbell interrupts. Victor leaves. Billie looks at the reports.

It's Crawford at the door. Victor wants him to see the autopsy results. He drags Crawford into the other room and Roman tells him about the report. Crawford scoffs but says he can accept the results. He says he's changed his mind about prosecuting Chelsea, just because he wants to do the right thing. Kate says she understands. She thought she lost two children once. "But you didn't lose them," says Crawford.

"No."

"Then you don't know what you're talking about," he growls.

Victor takes him out into the hallway and tells him about Isabella. He says he's acting inappropriately. Crawford backs down and also agrees he's acting inappropriately. "What are we going to do about that," asks Victor.

"I'll apologize," sighs Crawford.

"Good," says Victor, "You do that." He tells him to wait while he makes a phone call.

Marlena wakes up and calls out to John. He tells her she can watch as he butchers Colleen. She begs him not to do this. He turns and she grabs his legs.

Bo rages. Kayla has dropped the bad news bomb. She says they have to get him and Hope back home. "Tell me again what they found," says Bo.

"They found elevated bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase levels."

Bo ain't in a good mood, "Tell me what that means IN ENGLISH!"

"Elevated bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase levels."

Bo screams, "What does it mean medically?"

"I'm not sure what it means," says Kayla, "Who do you think you're talking to, a doctor? " She insists they will fight it and beat it. Easy for her to say...

Outside, Patch makes small talk, "Is that a leprechaun over there?"

"Enough beer for you," says Hope. Hope sees through Patch's blather and asks what's up with Bo. Patch stammers around and dodges the issue. Hope presses. Finally, he reminds her he has always been a good friend who gives good advice. If he can sell that to Hope, she'll buy anything. As her friend he tells her she needs to give Bo some space.

Victor talks to Phillip on the phone. Phillip tells him they found Claire, and also about Colleen. Phillip doesn't think Crystal had anything to do with Brady's disappearance. Victor says he will send someone to talk to Colleen.

Claire stirs. They all share a happy family moment, while Claire plans her next escape.

Victor says he will do whatever it takes to get Brady back. Phillip says the old woman says she took Claire because she wanted to keep her safe from Stefano. Victor isn't surprised, "DiMera is a demented SOB. And I think Colleen messianic complex."

"She's pretty messy all right," says Phillip. Phillip thinks the old woman won't lead Them to Brady, but he'll look a little more. Victor tells him he needs the corporate jet back, since all of his others are being used. Phillip says he will send it back. "Dig deep son," says Victor.

Victor hangs up and calls Bo. He says he called to give an update on Chelsea. He tells him Crawford is no longer an issue. "Just like that," asks Bo.

"Just like that."

Bo says he doesn't need details but thanks Victor for his help. Victor tells Bo he can't count on the Kiriakis plane for the trip back, since he's going to let Crawford use it after the funeral. Bo gets off the phone and tells Kayla the news about Chelsea. Hugs.

Marlena grabs John and begs him not to do it. John turns, "Stay seated, Blondie." He turns to slice Colleen.

Colleen screams, "One last word before I die... HHHEEELLLPPP! "

"You must know this," says Colleen, "You would be killing your own mother!

John whips his head back and forth. He stops and looks in her eyes, "I don't believe it."

"I am your mother."

"You said you were prepared to die," says John, "but you're stalling. Sorry, Mom, it's not going to work." Marlena steps in and shows him the torn picture. John looks at the picture and then rips Colleen's head off, "Hmmm... it does look a lot like her."

Colleen takes the picture and says it's a photo of him sitting on her lap.

Patch and Hope walk back into the room. Bo gives them the news about Chelsea. Hugs. He hugs Hope, too.

Kate thanks Roman for being so helpful. Smoochies. Roman wishes he'd been a whole lot more helpful. Victor and Crawford walk back in. Billie tells Crawford she understands he's hurting, but he doesn't have the right to drag Chelsea through this with him.

Crawford is contrite, "You're right. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry, too," says Chelsea.

"You're all a sorry bunch," says Victor.

Marlena shows John it's the same medallion in the picture. John looks up at Colleen, "You knew I was coming."

"I saw something in your eyes," says Colleen, "A hint of a squint. Your eyes were the hard eyes of Stefano."

Marlena works on John, "Stefano can never hurt anyone again. He's comatose and he will stay like that for all the Days Of Our Lives." John backs off. Marlena turns to Colleen, "Explain just how you became John's mother."

"If ye don't know how that happens by now, lassie, ye'll never learn."

Victor tells Crawford to wait in the other room. Crawford leaves. Roman says he has to get back to the station. "Well done Victor." He shakes Victor's hand and leaves.

Victor says Billie has taught Chelsea well. "I'll put that on my resume," says Billie. Victor asks why she would need a resume. Billie announces the University finally wised up and fired her. Victor says any firm would be lucky to have her, as long as it was one of his competitors. Billie asks if he has any suggestions as to which firm that might be.

"When can you start," asks Victor.

"What does that mean?"

"I'm offering you a job," says Victor, "Head of security in my London office. I figure the farther I can get you away from Salem, the less damage you can do to the main headquarters." Billie is interested. She takes Chelsea aside and says she won't go if Chelsea doesn't want her to. Chelsea says Billie can go if she can come and visit. Billie thanks Victor and accepts.

Chelsea smiles at Victor, "As far as grandfathers go, you're OK."

Victor smiles, "As far as serial killer granddaughters go, you're a mess."

Kayla suggests Bo and Hope get home to Chelsea, "She needs your support. Ciara can handle herself." Patch says they can take it from there. Bo agrees.

Colleen tells her tale. She found out she was pregnant right after the fake cliff dive. That child was John. She named him Ryan. Then she went to Argentina. She knew if Santo knew she was alive he would desert his family and come for her. The St Bede Venerable Parish sisters took her in. She had John and they lived in the peace and calm of the convent for two years. Finally the mother superior said it was time for them to leave. She stuffed John in an orphanage, but intended to get him back. She saw him every Sunday in exchange for mending socks and clothing. She got work as a seamstress.

Unfortunately, her hand was injured in a catastrophic sewing machine accident (we don't make this stuff up folks, we just report it), and she got tetanus. She was delirious in a hospital for two months. When she got back to the orphanage John was gone and they didn't know where he was. She became confused and they threw her into the streets. From that day on she never stopped looking for him. Only recently she found out he was adopted by the Alamains, "There is no telling what they would have done to you if they found out you were a half brother to Stefano DiMera."

Ryan DiMera gets a clue, "So, Santo DiMera is my father."

"Of course," gasps Colleen, "He's the only man I've ever been with."

"That seems like such an impossibility," says Marlena.

"One man must seem like an impossibility to you," says Colleen, "Ye've lost count yerself, haven't ye?"

John asks when Stefano found out she was alive.

"A little more than a year ago," says Colleen, "He became obsessed with finding me. He never found out where I was, though. He left that task to my son. Had Stefano known, he never would have brought us together."

"Then it was fate," says Marlena.

"No," says Colleen, "It was God."

John sticks the knife up to her throat. Marlena tries to back him off. Colleen says, "If ye kill me ye will destroy what's left of yerself." John pulls the knife back and runs out of the room. Marlena chases. Colleen bows her head.

Hope thinks Patch and Kayla are trying to get rid of them. Shawn comes in and Bo tells him they are going back to the states. Marlena rushes in, "Bo, John's run off!"

Somewhere in Arizona, Ciara dances and boogies with Giants fans through the night. The raucous crowd parties like it's 1999...

Thanks Prevuze for a lovely morning read.....

Ok - I read on another site that Shawn Sr. is supposed to die. Bo is obviously sick so I'm sure Victor will come to the rescue. I wonder if Caroline will hook up with Victor once Shawn Sr is out of the picture.

Lastly - I love the way Lucas gets time in jail for ATTEMPTED murder while others have actually killed people and gotten off easy.

Oh one more thing - what's with the "Just like that" phrase? Definitely a new crew of writers..... Hehehehe Move over Nike.....

I wonder if Lucas getting time will give Sami time to luv EJ and then later find out both twins belong to one dude. Then she'll be torn again - blah blah blah....

Deb - shut me up here..... Talk to me.... hehehe

"Of course," gasps Colleen, "He's the only man I've ever been with."

"That seems like such an impossibility," says Marlena.

"One man must seem like an impossibility to you," says Colleen, "Ye've lost count yerself, haven't ye?"

Brilliant!! If only someone would REALLY say that to Marlena...SIGH.

Angel, shut up.
LOL

What's with the
"Just like that" line?

Are we trying to start a DOOL "catch phrase".

Days Of Our Lives - Just Like That.

Nope, doesn't work for me.

New blog today folks! Enjoy.

It eliminates the necessity to come up with meaningful dialogue. Just like that...

Excellent, Prevuze!!!

"That seems like such an impossibility," says Marlena.

"One man must seem like an impossibility to you," says Colleen, "Ye've lost count yerself, haven't ye?"

Even more excellent, Prevuze!!!

Marlena turns to Colleen, "Explain just how you became John's mother."

WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can start with the fact that Santo didn’t use a condom. Geez, DOOL wasted Shirley Jones’ talent on this craziness. Instead of a sewing machine accident, couldn’t Colleen have come down with the bubonic plague? Colleen is going to be dead by the end of the week so there are only a couple more days for the writers to give us a decent ending to this storyline. Maybe Colleen can write another letter.

This Prevuze was just so "full of it", it's hard to know where to start. And, of course, by that I mean full of fabulous pictures (Marlena's headache & nose job, Colleen's various musical ties, OMB's heart monitor, Jawn's mission to kill) and prevuisms.

Two of my "HUH?" moments today:

1. Yesterday Colleen's story was she started sewing for the nuns and eventually built a sewing empire. Now the line is she had a catastrophic sewing machine accident and was eventually turned out in the streets. Huh?

2. You come face to face with your long-lost son after almost 50 years and you basically ignore his presence for a day and a half? Huh?

Loved Prevuze today!

Take heart everyone! Word has it the writer's strike is nearing an end!

I saw on Yahoo news, there may be an agreement as soon as next week.

Yay!!!!!

Deb, I hope your're right. Because this episode was horrible. The way that Victor talk to Decker like he was a child. The explanation of John adoption. The disease that Bo has....all just horrible.

My "HUH?" moment was Kayla not knowing what she was telling Bo. What kind of doctor worth their salt would do that?!?!?? "You have a serious illness but I don't know any more about it than that. DUH."

Loved all of the pics, especially Jawn wanting to kill Colleen since the first Partridge album came out and Marlena's need of a new nose job. HAHAHAHA

First thing in the mornings I rush in to read Prevuze. Just like that? Yeah, just like that!

What if Crawford is actually on the Kiriakis payroll, unbeknownst to any one in Salem. Couldn't that explain why Victor treated him the way he did and how he could make Ford's death and subsequent mistreatment of his remains go away?
Victor has been out of the picture for so long, and then *poof* he's back and handling things...'just like that'. Hmmmmm
I've missed Victor.

Will someone please explain to me what the H-E-double-toothpicks that means? We all know Ford died falling down the stairs, and just how does that mean Chelsea couldn't have killed him?????

Such buffoonary in the s/l. I would have given up on Days long ago if it wasn't for Prevuze and all the great comments.

Prevuze, you've done it again... "just like that!" Thanks for the big belly laughs.

Cfish, I wonder about the Chelsea line, too. Also remember in Friday's show Stephanie said they didn't want to kill him, they just wanted him to stop hurting people. I think it is just bad writing. I hope it is true that the strike will end soon. But regardless of who writes DrOOL, though, the best lines are always found on Prevuze! :-)

Ok, I couldn't wait to see what TPTB would come up with for Bo. So, I Googled the "elevated bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase levels" and it basically has to do with problems with the liver. It can be something liked blocked ducts to cancer. So, based on that let's see what they'll give Bo to deal with. Maybe he'll need a transplant or blood transfusion to magically heal him.

That's pretty bad when we have to Google stuff we hear on soap operas to find out WTF they are talking about.

And I wondered too why Kayla didn't know what those test results would indicate.

Maybe she didn't have Google.

"as a grandfather you're ok"
"as a serial killer u suck" or whatever it was u wrote. I bout fell out of bed with that line.

Like all the rest have said u make the show enjoyable to keep up on or I would have stopped following a long time ago.

Oh, god. Everything sounds so ridiculous. It was so much better when the sorority gang actually felt some remorse and Mr. Decker was a baddie, but still a real human with feelings too. Now he is like, oh well, I´m sorry my son died and bothered you with his stinking body. Can I make you some tee to feel better? What a travesty.

Poor Shelle are suddenly so unimportant they cannot have even a one decent conversation. And the Ireland is another huge letdown, I quess Higley and Co. is going for Reilly´s "we have one important scene and we drag it for an entire show, while some totall crap fills the rest" style of writing.

And what it the worst? With Sheffer and his team being let go last week, these "writers" aren´t just scabs anymore, they will be the new officially named writing team of DAYS.

I loved the heart monitor thing with OMB! I tried something similar to that myself once - and had about as much success with it! HAHAHAHA

Now that John has been revealed to be a (GASP OF HORROR) a DiMera, then what will Marlena do with her "All the Dimera's are evil and beyond redemption" lecture that she has been force-feeding Sami with?

If she tries that one, Sami could not unreasonably point out that she is saying that her own beloved husband, daughter Belle, and granddaughter Claire are automatically doomed to hell for being "EVIL DImera's" and that they can never be trusted!

What will that pathetic. umimaginative scab Higley come up with to permanently separate Sami and EJ and reunite Dumi-- oops, I mean Lumi!

I know, she will doom those poor innocent twins to mediocrity by making them Lucas children.

Anyone else get the feeling that Ciara and Claire will have two more partners, Johnny and Ali, when they finally escape from Salem?

Does anybody else realize that this makes John and Bo cousins...which makes Shawn and Belle...ewe

Bo is not a Brady by birth; he is the son of VICTOR and Caroline, making him a Kiriakis...even though he carries the Brady name. Belle and Shawn are NOT related by blood. I think Bo's illness is designed to remind us all of that fact, just like that.

2:27 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

What's sad is when the writers don't bother to google to find information that's readily available.

Shawn isn't Bo's birth father, but Bo is just as much a Brady as Roman is and that does make Belle and Shawn related.

How I wish someone would point out the obvious to Marlena. She has no right to be pious towards ANYONE, not after everything she's done.

Shawn may not have gotten Caroline pregnant with Bo, but he's just as much a Brady as Roman is and that does make Belle and Shawn related.

Marlena's nose and headache were perfect!! As were the prevuze - as always TY :)

Wow to the show as in it so looks like good dialogue is a thing of the past. Instead we get pathetic lines that make even the smarter characters come across as fools and inane drivel for all. It feels like culture shock and is actually depressing.

Ryan??? Is Days going to bring another soap out of retirement, with a new cast of Days left-overs, featuring of course Ryan and Hope... or maybe Ryan hoping to find out what he did in all of his past lives / identities. The show opens to a close up of John's profile... the spotlight from Heaven shines upon his face... he squints and looks directly into the camera... flute music can be heard in the background and we get Ryan's Hope. Uh - No thank you!!

Excellent!!

Unfortunately, her hand was injured in a catastrophic sewing machine accident (we don't make this stuff up folks, we just report it), and she got tetanus.

I tried not to laugh at this, and failed miserably.

So orphanages are just free babysitting services for runaway nuns...

And I guess everybody will watch there mouths while railing against the Evil DiMera's. For some reason, John being Lexie's uncle is HILARIOUS to me.
