She Can Hike Her Skirt And Hit The Boulevard
Saint Luke's Church. One that God would like to sweep under the rug. Cub reporter Brad Baker badgers Bo. Bo gets up in arms. Roman steps in and wants to know what is going on. Bo tells the reporter this isn't the time or place to do this. Brad thinks the ceremony was touching, "but we're gonna move a lot of papers with this one."
Caroline confronts Victor, "Did you know about this?"
Baker asks, "Don't you all want to know what he is hiding?"
Meanwhile, down at the Marseilles Police Department Melanie and her bimbo friend argue about a bracelet. Bimbette demands they search Melanie. She accuses her of wanting to sell it, "Those diamonds were the real deal."
Melanie retaliates, "You mean Like your nose and your boobs?" Max storms in and breaks things up.
Stefano tells Tony he's not sure whom he can trust. Both his sons have betrayed him. Tony says, "You have no idea what's happened since you've been incapacitated." Stefano says, "You'd be surprised. Now I'm going to make everyone else who betrayed me pay."
"John knows you're awake," asks Tony.
"No," says Stefano, "and I want to keep it that way so I can make my grand reentry on my terms and when I choose." Stefano flashes back to when he first went to the facility and John taunted him and told him Colleen was his mother. John taunts, "She and Santo had a bastard kid ― me. I'm your half brother."
Stefano says now he will make him and everyone else who betrayed him pay.
Marlena lies sprawled out on the floor.
Morgan and Phillip play poker. Morgan has a full house. Phillip has bupkis. So now she has beaten him at darts and poker. She challenges him to Mario Kart. Her cell phone interrupts the gesturing and posturing. Morgan looks at the caller id and doesn't answer because it's her mother. Morgan thinks her mother doesn't care what happened to her father, "She acts like she never even loved him. They were happy once, but then I came along. That would have been enough to drive any couple apart."
Roman and Abe grill Brad. He tells them Bo tampered with evidence. Roman tries to settle the crowd. Brad says he has proof. John peers inside. Brad turns to Hope, "Maybe the lady here can help us out."
Morgan says her mom's family was rich. Her father started to resent it. He wanted to be his own man. Her mom lent him money to start his own Internet company. It failed and her mother never let him forget it. They tried to stay together because of Morgan, but finally broke up. Morgan misses him and is afraid she will never see him again. Phillip is sooo sorry.
"John Black is the one who should be sorry," snorts Morgan.
Stefano vows that John will be his pawn again, "Poor Marlena ― what she must be going through."
Marlena stirs and then fades into unconsciousness again.
Max gives Bimbette the bracelet and says it won't happen again. He drags Melanie aside and tells her to apologize. Bimbette wants to press charges. The cop says they are both guilty and throws Melanie and Max into a cell.
Brad pulls a paper out of his pocket, "I have this anonymous email."
"An anonymous email," gasps the crowd, "Who wrote it?" Brad goes on to read the email which insists someone tampered with the evidence.
Kate asks Victor how much he knows about this. She wheels him out as Brad rants. Abe calms everyone down. He tells Brad if he has something to say they will go to the station. John watches.
Brad says, "Paul Hollingsworth is dead and this man in protecting his killer."
Phillip tries to comfort Morgan. She asks him to make calls and see if there have been any new developments.
Phillip is all to happy to help, "For you I'd do anything." Kiss.
Kate wheels Victor in. He asks for a moment alone with Phillip. Kate and Phillip snap at each other over Morgan. Victor tells Phillip the press has found out about the tape.
Abe wants to know how Brad got the email, "There is no evidence, is there Bo?" Brad says there is a tape, but Bo got rid of it. Abe turns and asks Bo if there was a tape.
Bo admits it, "Yeah, there was."
"OOOOHHHH NOOOO," groans the crowd.
Bimbette gives Melanie a parting shot and leaves. Melanie turns to her cell mate, "She's just mad because her boyfriend left her for me."
"Leaving her for you," repeats Max, "That's what I would call a two time loser. So what do we do now, genius?"
"OK watch this," says Melanie. She turns to the direction of the guard, "Yoo hoo, sir, I'm really sorry. It's been such a long week. My grandma died. The funeral is tomorrow and I'm supposed to sing. Can we bend the rules and let us out of here?"
"I am zorrie," says le guard, "But I canno releaze you until you make zee bail." Melanie throws a fit. Too bad the cell isn't padded.
Max tries to avoid the flailing, "You are on fire tonight. What is wrong with you?"
Stephanie interrupts the show. She tells the guard she is there to bail Max out, but not his sister.
EJ insists he and Tony care about Stefano. Stefano wonders if that is why EJ sold him out and revealed where John was being held captive. Stefano wants to make certain the person responsible for him being there pays dearly.
"Who would that be," asks Tony.
Marlena struggles to pull he purse off the table. She gets her phone and then goes under again.
Abe takes Brad downtown for a statement. Bo apologizes to the stunned crowd. Roman needs answers. John watches. Bo says, "No one else is gonna pay for my mistake. I knew what I was doing. Now I'll accept the consequences."
Max appeals to Stephanie to help Melanie, too. "No way," says Stephanie, "She is a spoiled thoughtless brat." Melanie tells the guard she wants her phone call. The guard hands her a phone.
Victor says he doesn't know who the reporter is, "It doesn't look good for Bo." Phillip says this is his fault. Victor says he already has called Gene Briscoe. Morgan brings in Victor's cell phone, "This thing keeps ringing."
Victor takes the call, "I'll call you right back." He asks Kate to wheel him inside.
Phillip turns to Morgan, "It's time you knew what is going."
Hope says, "Let's go home, Bo."
"That's not going to happen," says Bo. He turns to Roman, "Is it?"
"No," says Roman, "I'm afraid you won't be going home."
Chelsea steps up and whines, "You can't arrest him."
Stefano says things are already taken care of, "Marlena Evans did this to me and now she will pay."
Marlena's phone beeps. Marlena mumbles.
Melanie is bored. She shouts at the guard, "You might as well tie the noose around my neck right now."
"Not a bad idea," says Max.
Melanie turns to Max, "North Korea to South Korea... stay on your own side!"
Stephanie announces they don't even have enough money to bail out Max.
Melanie has an idea, "I know what you can do! Stephanie can hike her skirt and hit the boulevard. The French men are very generous!"
Georgie shows up. Stephanie takes him aside and tells him it would be a mistake for him to bail Melanie out. Georgie says he can't say no to her.
Melanie eggs him on, "Pay the guard and we can be together." Stephanie begs him not to do it.
Phillip hopes Morgan forgives him for this, but he swears he has nothing to do with Paul's disappearance. He tells her about the taped conversation. He says he said some things he shouldn't have. He tells her he threatened to kill Paul.
Roman says he has no choice. Bo reassures everyone, "I'll be fine. Behind bars, but fine."
Georgie pays for Melanie. The guard lets her out. Melanie gets in Stephanie's face, "But I'm gonna miss you most of all, Scarecrow. " She walks out with Georgie.
Stephanie begs the guard for help. She insists she is upset to be separated from Max. "I know how we can fix that," says the guard.
Stephanie stares out from behind bars, "I'm sorry Max. Max asks the guard about a payment plan.
"Zee American way," says the guard, "No." Max and Stephanie shout as he goes off.
Kate walks in as Morgan stomps out, "What's going on?"
"I told her about the tape," says Phillip.
"Good," says Kate, "You're better off without her. If what's on that tape comes out you know your father and I will protect you." Phillip goes after Morgan.
Mickey steps up, "I'll go with you Bo."
"Is that necessary," asks Bo, "Couldn't we just add five years to my sentence and save me some legal fees? " Roman leads Bo away. The fool's parade follows. John comes into the empty sanctuary. He crosses a name off in his book.
Tony and EJ insist Marlena wouldn't hurt a fly. Stefano says she set out to destroy his life, "And now I have the pleasure of returning the favor." We pan away form Marlena lying on the floor.

Hmmm, let’s see. We can start with bad acting. I want to use the mute button every time this woman opens her mouth.

This is the same woman that showed up at EJ and Sami’s wedding and took a pot shot at EJ. All the cocktails EJ has been chugging lately must be doing a number on the brain cells controlling his recent memory. Marlena is also a huge fan of Lucas. For that alone, EJ should be shoving her under the bus instead of defending her.
We pan away form Marlena lying on the floor.
Now, if they would only leave her there but we know that isn’t going to happen. Jawn will come to her rescue, and she will live on to pontificate, castigate, and, generally, annoy the living bleep out of us.

My Huh?! moment from today:

I know Vic was making a miraculous recovery, but one day away from almost certain death and he’s out of the hospital attending a wedding??
A semi-HUH!? moment is Marlena left lying on the floor. I would think the stalker would have either drugged her into permanent stuporland, or taken her off somewhere. Why shoot her up and leave her there to waver in and out of consciousness (except to drive us crazy)?
Last question - does anyone else think that Melanie looks so much like the previous Stephanie the two actresses could be sisters?

Let me try to wrap my brain around this...BozoBo admits he destroyed evidence not only in front of the crowd but in front of a REPORTER? This guy has got to be the dumbest boob on the planet!
Maybe if we're lucky the French will lose the key to that cell for about 20 years.

Bo's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I'm not sure who's stupider -- the writers or Bo. Having Bo admit to a churchful of guests (that would have his back to the end), as well as the Salem reporter, that he messed with the evidence is ridiculous. Especially considering the fact that only "anonymous" emails (one of which was traced to Ava, someone with a motive to mess with the case) point to this & the police captain's "hunch" (a man who needs to get some "hunches" about his wife) are even suggesting evidence has been tampered with. And then there's the fact that Kate destroyed the evidence -- last I checked if the evidence doesn't exist it doesn't count. Of course, to my limited knowledge, I've also always thought that if there's no body, then there's no proof anyone's even dead. But then what do I know?
I'd also like to say that I can't believe the (old) Sami is even related to Bo (or Roman for that matter). We're talking about a woman accused of cross-dressing treason in the Middle East that continued to deny it in a church before the altar EVEN when her mother-in-law stood in the cross-dressing uniform in front of her. And Bo can't even stand down a tabloid reporter with his entire family on his side?

But seriously, this is more better for him in the long run. If he continues to deny and the truth came out (as it would) then he would be really looked at as corrupt cop. Honesty, in this case, is the best policy as he sickeningly kept reminding Chelsea. Nice to have a lil' consistency. This makes up for the police brutality thing with EJ awhile back for me.
I think EJ and Tony believe in St. Marlena, they aren't privy to her hypocrisies like we are. I don't think most of the town would believe Marlena did whatever she did to Stefano. If she denied it I think Tony and EJ would buy her story.
How many out there would want Marlena and her killer letter opener with them in a dark alley?
She said she has a weapon and knows how to use it. Then says, I'll stab you...........after I sissy throw this nicknack at you and run for the door so you have a chance to tackle me. She's a regular Lizzie Borden.
