Playing A Little Too Close To A Jet Engine

Unfortunately we had another bad transmission again today. This one started out worse than the last one. I got no sound and a picture that looked like a confetti factory exploded. As the show progressed, the picture got better and several minutes into the episode, it got good enough to be able to tell what was going on. We pick up the... ahem... action there. During the remainder of the transmission the picture came and went, so we did our best to figure out what was going on. Here's our interpretation...

Melanie and Brady are outside, where Melanie has dished up another helping of Brady's lips for herself. She says she never thinks kissing a hot guy is a bad idea, but now Brady probably thinks she's a loose woman.

Brady says that isn't the case at all, "You do have a screw loose, though." What Brady thinks is that he shouldn't have been kissing her at all. Melanie says she doesn't mind being a stand in, "I'm used to it. You're a sweet guy but you're dying inside."

"I'm dying to GET inside," says Brady, "as long as you stay outside."

Nicole plays with a little bunny toy she had when she was a kid. This is apparently her "something blue" thing. She decides she'll put it in her bouquet. Chloe gives her something old from her mom. It's a string of pearls that belonged to her grandmother. Nicole can't believe her mother sent her a gift, "I'm going to be ten times the mother she was. What is ten times zero, anyway? "

Lucas warns Sami, "If you tell the truth something will happen."

"Not on this show," insists Sami.

Lucas says she could have gotten away with her scheme as long as she wants, because the baby doesn't look like her or EJ, "What made you want to tell the truth?"

Phillip and Stephanie are together at the Kiriakis mansion. Phillip is busy on the phone while Stephanie waits not-so-patiently. Phillip gets off the phone with Mr. Grant and turns to Stephanie but gets another call, "Madame Secretary, good to speak with you!"

Melanie follows Brady into the Java Café, "You can run, but you can't hide."

Brady isn't thrilled that the lost puppy keeps following him, "I'm not in a sharing kind of mood right now. I never should have gotten involved with..."

Melanie fills in for him, "The mystery woman."

"Yeah," says Brady, "I had to give her up. She's getting married and all."

Melanie gasps, "Are you in love with Nicole Walker?"

"Actually," says Brady, "I have a thing for Misty Circle."

Chloe gives Nicole something new – A bracelet. Nicole raves about how beautiful it is. She thanks Chloe and hugs her, then wraps it around her wrist and the cheap thing breaks. Bracelet parts dribble across the floor as Nicole turns into a basket case.

"It's not your fault," insists Chloe, "Don't worry about it. The Dollar Store has a return policy."

EJ and Stefano discuss their enemies in the rumpus room. Stefano growls, "Today Phillip Kiriakis will answer for what he did."

Brady wants to drop it. Melanie wants to pry, "EJ DiMera is pure evil."

Brady asks, "He's writing for DOOL now, is he?"

Stefano tells EJ they can't let their guard down while they are at the church. He and Stefano argue about Nicole. Stefano asks him if he has doubts about what needs to be done. EJ stares.

Phillip gets off the phone and turns to say something to Stephanie. He discovers she has left and he chases her into the foyer. He promises to stop working, "Let's just start over. You go out the door, come in, say 'hi' and we'll take it from there." The only part that appeals to Stephanie is the part about going out the door. She leaves. Phillip sighs and goes back to work.

Nicole continues to clean up the bracelet. She thinks this is an omen that things will go wrong. Chloe tells her about breaking the bulb at Christmas. "I thought it meant Lucas and I wouldn't make it. Not only did we make it but I also made it with Daniel on the side, too." Chloe asks if Nicole is freaking out because Brady came by. Nicole evades. Chloe asks, "Is this about Sami?" Nicole stares.

Lucas and Sami talk about being honest. Talking with Sami about being honest is about as frustrating as talking to the class dunce about nuclear physics. "The nuns got me thinking," says Sami.

"God will get them for that," says Lucas.

"Then there is us," she says, "You and me – I still regret I didn't tell you the truth about Will."

"What's done is done," says Lucas, "No more lies."

Prevuze

Sami zones out, "EJ deserves to know the truth."

"Why are you doing this," asks Lucas, "For Grace? For EJ? Or just to stick it to Nicole?"

Melanie says, "EJ may be hot... oh, he's hot all right... really hot... hot hot hot..." She stares into space and considers the possibilities and then comes back to earth, "But have you ever seen him get mad?" She thinks it's a mistake for Nicole to marry him, "I don't want EJ to come near me ever again. You know he could make you disappear and then go out to dinner. If he ever found out you had a thing for his wife... I'd think about it."

"That would require the ability to think," says Brady.

EJ tells Stefano he has no second thoughts but thinks the timing is bad. Stefano thinks they need to strike while the iron is hot, "Think about Anthony. He should be here today with us. You'll never see him smile again. You'll never see him torment us and laugh again. We can never forget him." EJ jumps on board, and he and Stefano share a hug. A guy hug. EJ agrees to support Stefano. Stefano makes a call, "It is time."

Chloe wonders why Nicole is still concerned about Sami. Nicole says she has a weird feeling about the wedding. Chloe advises, "Stop worrying about that horrible bleach blonde witch with a soul the size of a pea."

"I'm not worried about Sami," says Nicole, "That stupid cow won't bother EJ and me any more."

Lucas and Sami continue to discuss the truth. Sami thinks Nicole has been taunting her since she got back from the witless protection program, "She is in for it when EJ finds out Grace is his daughter." Lucas thinks EJ will want visitation rights, "Wait-a-minute, that's what you want! I can't believe I'm falling for the same old story again. You still have the hots for him."

Stefano introduces Masi, the shady hit man who has joined them in the rumpus room. He tells EJ he has to be in complete agreement with the plan.

Phillip is on the phone again.

Nicole and Chloe continue to discuss Sami and what Nicole may or may not have told EJ. Chloe thinks what goes around comes around, "The more you try to hurt Sami the more your chances increase of getting hurt in return."

Sami insists she has to tell the truth. Lucas thinks she still has a thing for EJ, especially with her FBI guy out of the picture, "EJ will be furious when he finds out you kept this from him."

EJ instructs Masi to communicate with the DiMeras through him, but says he should never speak directly with Stefano. Masi leaves.

Melanie rambles, "You never can see EJ coming." She also thinks Nicole can't pull a fast one on him either, "He is capable of destroying her dreams and pushing her into her grave. How's that for a downer?"

"Just being here with you is enough of a downer," says Brady.

"Nicole is playing a little too close to a jet engine," says Melanie, "When she says I do, she's signing her death warrant."

Nicole and Chloe admire Nicole's wedding dress. Nicole says she thinks what she has done to Sami is justified. She convinces herself things will be wonderful and no one will ruin it for her.

Sami says she thinks EJ will be furious when he learns the truth, but the fury will dissipate as soon as he sees Grace and falls in love with her. She puts on the rose colored glasses and decides she'll tell him today. Lucas asks, "You do know that EJ and Nicole are about to be married."

"I sure do."

Hey gang, a special treat... DOOL will feature Prevuze reader and talented singer Nina Storey on an upcoming episode, singing her original song "All I want" at Nicole & EJ's wedding. With Nina's permission, here's a sample of her work:

According to Nina, her song will play during the first dance after the wedding.

As I rushed here to post, I caught a glimpse of Bulldog's genius comparison of Steponme's hair! It has bugged the snot out of me about what it reminded me of and thanks to Bulldog - I now know.

"The nuns got me thinking," says Sami.

"God will get them for that," says Lucas.
You know God is always right.

I give today's episode a 5 out of 10. I know pretty high, but not doing a lot of damage. Also for once I agree with Melaine. EJ is hot, hot, hot, hot but dumb, dumb, dumb...ah the perfect eyecandy at least until they figure out what to do with Phillip's hair.

Have a great day.

Nicole us justified LOL, thats a goodie, there is a line between scheming and whatever the name is of what she is doing, specially at her again, she could stick to Brady and leave EJ to be with Sami, cause in the end she was right he will forgive her cause her motives were much more pure (specially with the hitman now).
And about Phil and steph, just get together allready!

She says she never thinks kissing a hot guy is a bad idea, but now Brady probably thinks she's a loose woman. Is there any other kind in Salem?

Lucas warns Sami, "If you tell the truth something will happen."

"Not on this show," insists Sami.
Right on Prevuze! If something does happen, it’s preposterous nonsense.

Melanie wants to pry, "EJ DiMera is pure evil."

Brady asks, "He's writing for DOOL now, is he?"
A hack writer with a British accent – could be.

Chloe asks if Nicole is freaking out because Brady came by. Nicole evades. Chloe asks, "Is this about Sami?" Nicole stares.Sounds like some terrific acting going on here.

With the brisk clip this writing team is setting, the wedding day is going to last at least three weeks. I don’t care what side of the Rafe/Sami/EJ/Nicole/Brady fence you’re sitting on this whole wedding fiasco/baby switch story arc is more frustrating than sitting in rush hour traffic. Even though you waste a lot of gas as your car idles on the highways and byways of our great nation, checking out the other drivers as they pick their noses can be rather entertaining. Unfortunately, that is more than can be said for DOOL.

Happy hump day everyone!

Ah, yes Bulldog. Darth Vader. That was the other thing (other than a cone-head) Stephanie's hair reminded me of. lol

The separated at birth picture was classic.

A question, Prevuze - WHOSE mom sent Nicole the pearls? Chloe's or Nicole's? There were a little too many "her mom"'s in there for me to follow.

And, my caffeine really hasn't kicked in yet. I spent several precious seconds wondering what enemies of the Dimeras were in the rumpus room before I realized it was EJ and Stefano in the rumpus room discussing their enemies. hahaha

My HUH?! moment:
Chloe thinks what goes around comes around, "The more you try to hurt Sami the more your chances increase of getting hurt in return."OMG! A DOOL character with a rational thought. And it's Chloe for pete's sake. The writers better cut this stuff out or else DAYS will stop being the show we love to diss.

It sounds like Prevuze didn't get to see the only thing worth watching today (Sami telling Lucas the truth). What a rip-off! But thanks for hanging in and giving us what you could.

Happy Tax Day! Does the fact that it's also Hump Day suggest a naughty comparison to anyone else?? LOL

Is EJ is writing for DOOL??? now that would 'splain the greasy hair, not to mention the bad, bad, bad script. The female writers constantly oogling over him and fondlling some of his body parts(grease rises to the top doesn't it), yeah that explains it! As for the bad writing...with all the attention from the female staff ...well we know NO woman is writing over there, because if she did DOOL would show gratuitous topless EJ scenes 99% of the time. Hence, EJ must be the new writer on the show! Great job Prevuze for solving yet another DOOL mystery!

Prevuze, best mystery blog on the internet!

I'm just wondering why Sami felt compelled to tell Luclueless in the first place. What business is it of his? Just like the big secret she was pregnant, it took him one of Maggie's 2.2 seconds to blab to Chloe. Let's see if he can manage to keep this one to himself.

I hope Masi is a better hit man than whoever shot the Mayor. Hey!!! Maybe in the DOOL going green to recycle old scripts program they'll just use the one from Princess Greta's Von Amburg's wedding where Kate was trying to kill Victor (AGAIN) and they had the big wedding massacre. Like Dynasty's Moldavia episode. Well at least it would add some excitement and get rid of some of these people. HAHAHAHA

Thanks for the sneak peek of the song and I loved "Just being with you is enough of a downer."Well, Prevuze is no downer. Thanks for what you had to endure to bring us our daily laughs. :D

I guess if there is a song for the first dance after the wedding there will be a wedding...that's too bad I was hoping this charade would end sooner rather than later.

So kissing a hot guy makes you loose?

I guess that's how Chelsea was called a slut even though she was a virgin.

Lemon Grass, I think it has to do randomly kissing people. It's not like Brady and Melanie have some sort of rapport. He's just some guy she just happens to know.

@ Applecheeks
As confusing as that was, (took my 3 times to get), I believe they were speaking about Nicole's mother.

"I'm going to be ten times the mother she was. This is the clincher, otherwise Chloe has no backbone at all.

Stefano growls, "Today Phillip Kiriakis will answer for what he did."What? During EJ's wedding??

~WTH is wrong is Stephanie. Philip was rehired?, is seemingly working (without intrigue) and all she does is complain.

You'll never see him smile again. You'll never see him torment us and laugh againLmao. That's the exact thing I was thinking whilst reading that. The only time he was jovial was at their expense. Oh, well, I'm kinda enjoying Tony's canonization.

~Three cheers for getting married and carrying out a hit on the afternoon. Lovable scamp.

~Wow, Melanie sure has been cognitive. After meeting EJ, like, twice.

Re: Hitman - Masi will shoot Philip, Chloe will see and be placed in Witless Protection, Chloe will be preggers, Masi will track down Chloe, Philip will return with his new bionic part and fight Masi, and umm...

Anyway, I wonder how old Philip's and Mimi's son is. At least he can come back in a few years, looking for revenge or whatever.

ok, I know Dool is trying to keep us thoroughly entertained(NOT!!!) but why is Sami so gung-ho to tell EJ about Grace on the eve of his wedding? Oh yeah, she's trying to do the right thing - by whom? If EJ gave a dammn about doing the right thing he wouldn't have proposed to Nic-ho in the first place. And if he cared to do the right thing by his audience he would have stayed clear of stuck elevators and greasy haircombs.

Sami is queen to doing bad, and then getting what she wants, until she DOES NOT want it anymore. Nicole is still in PreK when it comes to this.

With a wedding dance then I am guessing the truth is still NOT revealed. Leave it to DOOL to drag out a plot!
