Bo's Decision

Rebel without a clue Shawn stumbles through the woods with a six-pack. He sucks down a longneck.

Belle hears Phillip in her sleep telling her he has come home to her. She looks down at the foot of her bed. He’s come home in a coffin, “OMG, PHILLIP, NO!

Roman tells Marlena not to give up hope. He thinks maybe they are not Tony’s only prisoners and maybe someone might have escaped and maybe help could be on the way. Before they know it they might be back with their loved ones. Marlena asks, “And what if it’s too late? From all we’ve seen, it looks like John and Kate are falling in love.”

Meanwhile, John is falling in love – with the gutter. He struggles to get up, “Doc, help me make it through this. Why don’t you come walking down those stairs like you did years ago?” Flashback. Now he sees her, “God, you found me.” He kisses her. He blinks. It’s Kate.

Bo tells Billie, “We will find Georgia.” She thanks him as Hope walks in to see them cuddlin’ by the couch. This isn’t going to be pretty.

“Well,” says Hope, “Looks like I came home sooner than you expected.” Bo tells her she doesn’t understand. “No, I understand... perfectly.”

Jack lies on the floor with his eyes open. Bart is on the phone with Tony, “That is some nifty drug. He’s conscious, but he can’t move or speak. By the way, when are you going to be sending the Tony-mobile around? Oh? Really? A police car cruising the area? OK. We’ll stay put until the coast is clear. Uh-oh, Jack’s wife and Lockhart are coming up the walk. I know exactly what to do.” Jack’s eyes bounce back and forth.

Patrick asks Jennifer if she is OK. She is. She turns to go in. Bart waits with his gun ready. Jack’s eyes spin.

Jennifer opens the door, then closes it. Patrick asks what is wrong. “It’s Jack,” she says, “Why do I feel so close to him tonight?”

Pard tells Marlena they don’t know for sure John and Kate are falling in love, “We are seeing what Tony wants us to see. When we get home I think John and Kate will be overjoyed to see us and we will all pick up our lives right where we left off.” Marlena thinks he couldn’t be more wrong.

John tells Kate he thought she was Marlena. Kate understands, “What are you doing here all alone?”

“Whaddya think? Buying drugs? Come on. I’m putting up a really good fight.”

“If I find out you’re not telling the truth,” says Kate, “I’m turning you over to the police.”

Bo tells Hope Billie was upset. Gee, so is Hope. She tells Bo the one he should be looking for is Shawn. She tells him Jan had Shawn’s Motorcycle fixed. Bo says he will go find him; he’ll make some calls. Hope reminds him if the police find him tonight Shawn will go back to jail, “You should have been there tonight, Bo.” Bo goes to make some calls.

Billie butts in, “I’m sorry Bo didn’t catch up with you earlier.”

“I don’t think you are,” Hope says as she does her eyebrow thing.

Roman tells Marlena it’s been quite awhile since Tony has been in their room bugging them. He thinks maybe someone is on to Tony. Maybe the ISA is after him. Marlena thinks that would be very bad for them, “because Tony would move us to a new hiding place – we would never be found.”

John asks if Kate would really turn him in. Kate says she would do it to save his life. John tells her he needs to get strong. He reels off a list of people he needs to be strong for, including Phillip. Kate tells him about Phillip’s situation. “At least you know he’s alive, Kate. We’ll find him and bring him home.”

“And then what is waiting for him?”

“This thing between Shawn and Belle and Phillip never should have happened.”

“If Roman and Marlena were here,” says Kate, “everything would be different. I’m glad we have each other. Let’s go home.”

Shawn guzzles his beer. He flashes back to scenes with Belle, “Dammit, if Phillip doesn’t make it back, I’m never going to be with Belle.” He smashes the beer against a rock.

Belle gets up and opens the coffin. Phillip opens his eyes, “I loved you Belle. Why did you tell me you loved me when it was all a lie?”

Belle is back in bed. Hope's vision comes to visit this time, “Look what you did to Shawn.” Belle goes back to the coffin.

Shawn is inside. “I’m here because of you,” says Shawn, “When I couldn’t be with you, there was nothing left to live for. You killed me.”

“NOOOOOOO,” screams Belle.

Billie defends Bo. She shows Hope the lock of Georgia’s hair. Hope tells her if Georgia is alive, she is very happy for Billie, “But I also had an interesting conversation with your mother tonight. She confirmed what I knew all along, that you want my husband.”

Billie protests, “That may be my mother’s fantasy, but it isn’t true.”

World War III erupts.

Bart tells Tony, “Our boy Patrick is doing a good job of keeping Jennifer outside.”

Patrick asks Jennifer to sit down for a minute. Jennifer just can’t stop thinking about all the good times Jack and she shared. She flashes back to Jack playing Santa, delivering Abby.

Jack twirls his eyes.

Belle’s nightmare continues. Phillip and Shawn taunt her. The phone rings. It’s Bo asking if she has heard from Shawn. Nope, just his dead body lying in a coffin in the room here. She promises she will call if she hears from him. She flashes back to the snowman scene, “I know where Shawn is.”

Pan to the brooding Shawn. He sucks down another brewski.

Billie tells Hope Georgia could be in danger. It’s different with Shawn. He has people to support him. Bo is the only person who can help Billie, “And I’m not supposed to accept his help because you’re afraid I’m going to steal him away from you?”

“You’re going to stand there and deny it,” Asks Hope.

Marlena thinks it’s funny that Roman is being the optimist. He promises he will get her out of there, “and until then I’m going to be right by your side every day and every night.” Of course, the fact that they are chained together might have something to do with that, too.

Kate and John are home. Kate will make coffee. John is going to stay up awhile and map out a plan to save Phillip. Phillip’s in good shape now. He’s got some tripped out stoner on his side. John turns on the TV and there is Phillip and his unending goodbye. Kate walks in carrying a tray. She bounce-passes it to John when she sees the shocking TV scene. John consoles her.

Jennifer reminisces about the amazing times she had with Patrick. Apparently, Jack can hear all this. He thinks, “And I love you so much, Jennifer,” as she goes on and on. Jack moves his head a little. He bangs it into a piece of furniture. Jennifer hears the noise, “Did you hear that? Someone’s in the house.” That’s using your head, Jack.

Shawn swills his beer as Belle watches. He sees her, “What are you doing here?”

“Looking for you.”

“I came up here to be alone and think. So why were you looking for me?”

“Your dad called.”

“So you told him I’d be up here?”

“No.”

“You could have called him back,” says Shawn, “Why did you decide to come up here instead?”

Her eyes tell us she didn’t come up for a beer.

He tells her, “Run on home and wait for your husband, I’m fine.” He smashes the beer against a rock. Oh, the anguish.

He opens another. She yanks it from him. She doesn’t believe in littering. “You’ve had enough.”

“Why do you care?”

“Because I do.” Well, that explains everything.

“Is that why you drove all the way up here,” he mumbles.

“Shawn, you know how much you mean to me.”

“Not as much as your husband,” he sneers.

Hope and Billie are sick of each other. Billie says she never asked Bo for his help. Hope says it’s obvious Billie is still in love with Bo. “I never denied that,” says Billie. Bo interrupts. He has people out looking for Shawn. He tells Hope Billie didn’t want him to stay there tonight. She wanted him to go to Shawn’s.

“So,” says Hope, “it was your decision to stay here rather than to come and help me with our son.” Oh, man, he really walked into that one.

John assures Kate Phillip is alive, “Whoever captured him wants to use him as a bargaining chip. He’s useless to them dead.” Kate breaks down. John holds her, “Be strong, Kate, be strong.”

Pard and Marlena vow not to give up hope. If they do, Tony will win. The timely little TV pops on. We watch the tender little scene between John and Kate. “Let’s go to bed,” says Kate, “We can deal with this in the morning.”

“Well,” says Marlena, “Tony didn’t splice that tape together, did he? It’s true. We’ve lost them. Would you hold me? Roman, don’t let me go.”

Hope says, “I’m going to ask you a question and I want you to think very carefully before you answer, because once you do, there is no turning back. Who is more important to you, Billie and Georgia, or the boys and me?”

“That’s not fair,” says Bo.

“Since when,
asks Hope, Billie has been asking you that question for months now, and so far, you’ve chosen her every time.” Bo scowls.

Belle came up there because she loves Shawn. “So,” says Shawn, “What are we supposed to do? I love you, too. It’s killing me. We love each other and you can’t convince me there is something wrong with that.” He kisses her. She pulls back, but Shawn goes in for more.

“God help me,” says Belle, “I do love you.” They fall in a heap.

Bart drags Jack off.

Jennifer says it sounds like someone is in the house. Patrick says it could have been anything. He tries to stop her but she opens the door, “GASP! JACK!” FFWO on the shocked Jennifer.

John yells, “Dammit Kate! You don’t even know what’s going on. You don’t know the kind of pain I am in. If you get rid of those drugs you will regret it because it will be the biggest mistake of your life.” The fires of hell burn behind Kate.

Hope says, “If Shawn gets hurt, it will be because you stayed with Billie instead of coming to help me and we’re through, Brady.”

Billie thinks to herself, “You’re hearing things, Billie,” as she hears a little girl’s voice say, “Why don’t you come and save me, Mommy.”

Surely there isn't a soul who actually believes Jennifer is looking at Jack. You know all four of them will miraculously be gone by the time she opens the door.

As dumb as Jack was to not get out of the house when he had the chance, but rather stood with his back to Madison so she could get the drop on him again, he deserves to go back to the castle!!!
