Locker Room Lolita

Hope sits and waits in the courtroom. Her attorney, Darryl, says there has been no time to prepare a statement. "Then don't give one," says Hope.

Darryl asks, "With your connections... Why me? Why A rookie public defender?"

"Because you're the only attorney in town that hasn't lost every case," says Hope, "Besides, I'm pleading guilty. I'm going to prison."

Bo walks in and overhears, "No. I'm not going to let that happen."

Nathan walks on Melanie and her attacker. He jumps the mugger and they struggle. Mugger boy runs, but takes a swipe at Nathan's arm and Nathan reels in pain. The guy gets away.

Stephanie tells Ian she needs to access hospital records at St. Mary's, "It's a paternity test."

"Stephanie," says Ian, "You have a right to those results."

"I'm not the mother," says Stephanie. Ian says he will see what he can do.

Carly and Chloe meet at the dock. They agree to go to St. Mary's together. "We'll meet here in the morning and go together," says Carly.

Daniel walks up, "What are you two up to now?"

Chloe says to Carly and Daniel, "I think that Daniel should know the truth. For years I've been dying my hair to cover up the fact I'm a blonde."

Nicole stuffs the CD in her purse at the Cheatin' Heart, "I thought this would put me in the driver's seat. Instead it just ruined everything good I have."

Rafe looks in and sees the scene of despair, "Well Victor, you said to strike when she's vulnerable."

Stefano and EJ are in the rumpus room. "Be careful," cautions Stefano, "Hernandez will not be deterred. It will be all over if he finds out you were behind Anna taking Sydney."

Sami walks in, "What did you say?"

Nicole broods. Rafe comes in and sits with her, "We've gotta stop meeting like this." He says he wants to make things up to her. Nicole says no, picks up the drink sitting in front of her and tosses it into his face. "At least you came closer to hitting my mouth than I usually do," says Rafe.

Sami wants answers, "Stefano said something about you wanting to keep me away from Sydney." EJ says they were talking about keeping her apart from Sydney because he wants her to relax after the wedding. Sami says she wants to be with her kids, "I really enjoy waving goodbye to them as they go off with the babysitter." Lexie comes in. Sami continues, "Maybe you regret marrying someone with four kids."

Lexie chokes, "Are you two getting married?"

Hope tells Bo it's not his call, "I'm guilty and it's over. I need to pay." Bo asks if Ciara needs to pay.

Ian computes. Stephanie begs him to hurry.

Nathan rubs his arm and says he's fine. A guy comes in and says the perp got away, "He ran straight into the SPD cop-shop and that's where we lost him." Nathan checks out Melanie. Melanie thanks him for saving her.

Daniel says this sounds ominous. Chloe says this was all Carly's idea since it has to do with Chloe's birthday present. Carly announces she's giving Chloe some girl time, "It's really a present for you, Daniel. We figured if we spent time together it would be easier for you. We both want what's best for you. That's why we do the little things like not telling you that you've got a daughter or two-timing you."

"There is no way I could have better women in my life," says Daniel, "Unless I had a bimbo Internet porn queen for a daughter."

Hope says it wasn't fair for Bo to play the Ciara card. Bo wants to know what's going on with her, "It's like you're still drugged. Ciara needs you."

"Just go away and let me do what I need to do," says Hope.

Doug and Julie walk in. Bo calls Hope a coward, "You going to prison is not what's best for Ciara. Are you saying you don't want to (say it with him) be there for her?"

Doug takes Bo out so Julie can talk sense into Hope. Julie says, "You know I'm furious at Bo, but he's right."

Rafe stares down at his wet shirt, "Is that code for... you want to be left alone?" That's how Rafe got to be an FBI agent. He's so quick to catch on. Rafe orders a new drink for her. Nicole grabs her purse and Rafe sees the CD. Nicole orders him to leave and he does.

A sleazeball walks up to Nicole's table, "So, do you come here often? I'm one of your best fans, Misty. Locker Room Lolita — What a tour de force. Let's go look for our own private locker room." Sleazo calls his buddy Bennie, "Guess who I'm talking to... Misty Circle!"

Rafe comes back in and saves the day. He throws out Sleazo and sits back down. Nicole thanks him. "I made him apologize," says Rafe, "but I'm the one who should apologize."

Back in the rumpus room it's nervous giggles all around. Lexie asks, "Have you considered who your in-laws will be?" Lexie says she hopes Sami will be happy. Sami goes to check on Sydney. Stefano gets a call and takes off. Lexie congratulates EJ, "You've turned your life around and will finally have your very own family. I'm proud of you." Hugs.

Bo and Doug come back in as Julie tells Hope she has lost her way. Bo agrees, "You can't throw everything away."

Nathan and Melanie sit and talk about their injuries. She suggests going somewhere else. Nathan offers to take her home. "I'm lucky you were here," says Melanie.

Daniel is impressed Carly and Chloe will be hanging out tomorrow, "I'm sorry I'm working. You know how I love spying, especially the plinkity-plink-plink-plink music."

"Well," says Carly, "You weren't invited, so..."

"Whew," says Daniel as he snaps his fingers, "Thank you." He steps up to Chloe, "And thank you for this. It means the world to me that you two are getting along."

"Carly and I got off to a rocky start," says Chloe, "But I think tomorrow will be the..."

"Start of a beautiful friendship," asks Daniel.

"No," says Chloe, "It could be the end of one."

Ian gets through the firewall. Stephanie gives him the name, "Dana Scott."

"Are you sure about the name," says Ian, "It's there, but the results aren't in."

Lexie asks, "What about Rafe?"

Rafe swills booze with Nicole. He says he was rough on her the last time he was there, "Finding out Sami is marrying EJ may have upset me." Ya think? The bartender brings more liquor. Rafe tells Nicole they have something else in common, "It must not have been easy to try to love EJ."

"I didn't try," says Nicole, "I did love him."

Rafe says he just couldn't make things work out with Sami, "But you did all that stuff for EJ."

"Yeah," says Nicole, "I did it for him."

"He's a jerk," slurs Rafe.

Nathan and Melanie walk by the pub. She tells him he doesn't have to walk her all the way home. Nathan says it was fun working with her again, "Especially since no one died on the operating table like last time." He leaves.

Carly and Chloe convince Daniel they are best buds. Daniel says the baby is a game changer, "Chloe and I now have a family of our own. No more threats. Just one big happy family."

Stephanie has a fit because Ian can't find the records. Nathan walks in, "What's going on?" He sees Ian, "Who the hell are you?"

Stefano finds Sami in the foyer and asks to speak to her. He says he realizes he has said some terrible things. "Don't worry," says Sami, "I know you meant every word." Stefano says he was wrong.

EJ snorts, "Hernandez is out of the picture. Samanther and I are getting married. Even an idiot like Rafe has to realize it's over."

Nicole says she thinks EJ is a prince among men.

The booze really kicks in and Rafe rambles, "Sami thinks I see evil where there is none. Maybe EJ has changed. Sami says so. Grief changed him. He had to call Sami and tell her Sydney was dead. Can you imagine going through that. He's a good guy now. A good guy."

Daniel is on the phone. He gets off and says Melanie is on her way. He asks Chloe if she doesn't have some errands to run while he and Carly plot about her birthday. Chloe leaves. Daniel thanks Carly for winning Chloe over. Melanie pops in. Daniel asks, "Where did you get those bruises?"

"Don't worry," says Melanie, "Nathan took care of it."

"Dang," says Daniel, "You and Nathan, who knew... everyone in town is having rough sex this week."

Stephanie introduces Ian and says he's helping with computer programs for her job. Nathan tells them about the guy at the clinic freaking out. He goes to take a shower and apologizes for getting upset when he walked in. Ian tells Stephanie they can try again tomorrow, "I don't get it. A girl as pretty as you shouldn't have to fight to keep a guy." He leaves.

Stephanie chews her nails, "Nathan isn't just anyone. I love him."

Bo says he thought Doug and Julie would be able to get through to Hope.

"She wouldn't even look at me," says Doug. Hope's public defender walks in.

Bare chested Nathan walks back out into the living room. He has Stephanie help him get his shirt on. "You should get that x-rayed," says Stephanie.

"Melanie said the same thing," says Nathan, "That guy tried to strangle her."

Stephanie gasps, "And you stopped him?"

Daniel thanks Carly and tells Melanie that Carly and Chloe are now friends. Melanie says that's possible because a baby is coming. Daniel and Melanie leave. Carly takes out her phone.

Stefano says he wants a fresh start. Sami is nervous about it, but agrees.

Lexie says she hopes EJ is right about Rafe. She asks if EJ would bow out if Sami were engaged to Rafe. EJ says that's different. Sami walks in and says Stefano was nice to her.

"Will wonders never cease," asks Lexie. She leaves.

EJ asks if Sami was nice back to Stefano. Sami says she made an effort. "Time heals all wounds," says EJ, "That's something we have a lot of."

"Wounds?"

EJ smiles, "Time." he moves in and kisses her.

Lexie is out in the foyer talking to Stefano. She says she thinks there is more to this story than is being said. Stefano tells her to look forward, "Let the past go away."

Nicole wonders why Rafe is dredging up the past. Rafe slurs, "That's what you're supposed to do when you are drowning your sorrows."

Nicole gets skeptical, "Wait... are you on the job?"

"I'm not supposed to drink on the job," says Rafe.

"Are you wearing a wire?"

"Wanna frisk me," asks Rafe.

"Maybe I will."

Longtime Safe fan Fern Schwartz from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan stands up in the audience and volunteers to do it for her.

To really understand Nicole Walker, you have to read between the lies.

Doug tells Hope Bo is there to help, "Trust him."

Hope drones, "Trust Bo..."

Bo and the attorney walk back in. Bo says there has been a change of plans.

Daniel and Melanie are back in Maggie's kitchen. Daniel tells her he has to work on Chloe's birthday.

Carly calls St. Mary’s Hospital about Dana Scott's results. Then she calls Chloe and says the results will be in tomorrow morning. They agree to meet at the pier. Chloe thanks her and hangs up, "Please God, let this work out."

"I always answer prayer," says God, "Unfortunately, sometimes the answer is 'no.'"

Stephanie again encourages Nathan to get his arm x-rayed. He insists he's fine and leaves. We pan to the computer. "Everything will be OK in the morning," says Stephanie.

Nicole has Rafe stand up, and she frisks him, "You know what the three biggest lies are... The check is in the mail... You can trust me and.... DOOL ratings will improve... The two sots fall into each other's arms.

Sami says she thought telling their families about the engagement would be a disaster, "But it went better than expected."

She rambles as EJ tries to stop her verbal train from running off the tracks. He kneels in front of her, "I think we've been avoiding something... this part. He moves in and kisses her.

Sami pants, "Oh, that..."

"Let's get some sleep," says EJ, "Let me show you what it's really like to be Mrs. DiMera." Sami laughs. EJ, however is dead serious. He moves back in for more.
