L'assassin
Jennifer and Frankie come back to her place. Jennifer says, "I feel sorry for Bo. He's doing all these things for Hope – planting her favorite flowers, painting the bedroom."
Frankie says, "At least he's planning on her coming home."
"That doesn't mean she will," says Jennifer, "I can't imagine them breaking up."
"You need a boost," says Frankie, "I have and idea. Frankie tells Jennifer, "I want to take you To Green Mountain Lodge. I want to show you a good time." Jennifer hesitates. "Oh, come on, we can just get away. You are so worried about everyone else you need to have some fun, what do you say?"
The brat computes. She remembers Frankie telling her he may not be able to keep her out of jail, "I won't be going to jail if I can help it. I just have to make sure Bo and Hope stay split up for good. This should do the trick. Hope won't know what hit her, just like Zack."
Hope gets the email, "I don't believe this. It's an email from the Chronicle. It's about Shawn's wedding. He promised he would wait until I came back. OMG. Look at that. Two uninvited guests." She looks at a picture of Billie and the brat.
Marlena comes down the aisle past the keystone cops. Alex waits. Mimi wonders. Belle stews. The ceremony begins. Alex flashes back to Marlena saying her heart is with John, then drugging Marlena. Marlena tells the father she has no reservations about proceeding.
"Here we go," says Shawn. Abe tells Roman they have to stop John. Roman can feel it – John is there. Shawn discovers the gun pointing out of the vent. Roman confirms it. He tells Tek to keep the grill in his sights. "Don't fire until you know he's going to shoot," says Abe.
John lasers in on Alex, "You'll never get your hands on her, Alex." He squeezes the trigger.
"I have John in my sights," says Tek.
"Wait for orders from Roman," says Abe.
Roman tries the door. Locked. John takes his finger off the trigger as Marlena and Alex light a candle.
Belle thinks, "Mom, please don't go through with this."
Father Jansen pops the big question – does anyone know any reason why these two should not be married. Silence. Mimi remembers Belle interrupting her wedding, "I wonder if Belle will do that again?"
The vows begin. John aims. "Dammit, John, stop," says Roman, "We know you're in there."
"Go away," says l'assassin, "You're not going to stop me."
"If you kill him you'll destroy your life," says Roman.
"There will be no future once Alex kills her," says John, "I'm taking him out. John takes aim and says, "Forgive me for what I am about to do, but it's the only way I can get him away from her."
Jennifer tells Frankie going to GML would be a big step. He just thought it would be fun to get away. Doorbell. Maggie. She's there to take care of Jack Junior while they are away. Busted! Frankie has an uncomfortable moment. He tells Jennifer, "If you do want to go, we should leave soon, before it gets dark. People can run off bridges driving in the dark, you know."
Frankie goes upstairs. Maggie tells Jennifer she thinks it would do her good to get away. Jennifer thinks things are going too fast with Frankie. Maggie says, "He's been in love with you his entire adult life."
Jennifer says, "I know you'd say this is what Jack would want for me, but what about what I want? I feel like everyone is forcing me because they think I can't take care of myself."
"We just want you to be happy."
"The word 'happy' terrifies me," says Jennifer, "I have mourned my husband three times. It feels too soon."
"You are a single woman now," says Maggie.
Jennifer says, "Just because I caught the flowers at Mimi's wedding doesn't mean I have to get married."
"Go away with Frankie and you can still come away a single woman," says Maggie, "You know what Alice says – life doesn't wait around for you to live it."
The brat says, "Once Hope reads that article she will be so mad at Bo she will never come back to him. Then my parents will be together and I won't go to jail. Zack, you know I loved you don't you? You don't want me to go to jail, do you? Now I just have to get rid of any evidence in case anyone tries to read my online diary again... OMG! I just accessed my dad's email account! He must have forgotten to log out. Well, he read my personal files. I'll just leave this open in case Hope tries to get in touch wit him."
Hope can't believe it, "How could Billie and Chelsea show up. If I had known about the wedding Shawn knows I would never have left Salem. He's my only living biological son. How dare they be there? Listen to this. 'The groom's half-sister showed up uninvited. Charged with the hit and run death of the groom's brother, Miss Benson's appearance stopped the wedding.' I can't read any more. Please read it for me."
Patrick reads, "Bo and Hope Brady, separated after the death of their son. At the wedding, the groom threw the young girl and her parents, Bo Brady and Billie Reed, out of church. The young woman's parents were seen comforting her outside of St. Luke's later."
Hope is beside herself, "Why would he do this? He chose to coddle Chelsea rather than being at his son's wedding. It is so clear he prefers Billie and Chelsea rather than me and Shawn."
"I know you are his everything."
"These pictures don't lie," says Hope, "This is proof he has turned his back on us. This is it. Hope says, "I'm gonna email Bo. I want a divorce."
The ceremony continues. Mimi thinks Marlena sounds like a zombie. Marlena remembers her wedding with John. She tells him, "I will love you no matter what. I will laugh with you, love you, weep with you for all the Days Of Our Lives."
Marlena hesitates. Alex dangles the bangle. Marlena continues, and then Alex says his vows.
Roman radios Abe, they can't get the door to budge. Roman yells for John again, "Don't do this. Don't make me give Tek the order."
"Doesn't matter," says John, "Once I drop North I get the death penalty anyway."
Shawn calls Belle on her cell phone, "I know you can't talk so listen. Your dad is going through with it. He's in the belfry."
Belle is confused, "You mean like where my bats are? " She decides she has to stop this. She hyperventilates as she tries to figure out what to do.
Alex says, "I do." Belle accidentally on purpose drops her flowers. They roll in front of Alex. She goes over and picks them up, and then stands there like a statue blocking Alex, ready to take John's bullet.
Jennifer has decided to go. She and Frankie leave.
Hope can't live with what Bo has done. Patrick tells her to recall the email or write another one. "You have a family," says Patrick.
Hope remembers moments with Bo.
Patrick pleads, "Don't make the biggest mistake of your life. Don't give up your love with Bo."
Chelsea checks Bo's email, "Perfect! Hope wants a divorce. Excellent. What would my dad say back to her?"
She composes the masterpiece, "It breaks my heart, but I guess you're right. There is no way we can stay together now, is there? I'm really sorry about what happened to Zack. I'd do anything to bring him back. But I have a daughter with Billie now and it's my responsibility to protect her. If you can't live with that, then that means we have no future together, I won't contest your divorce. You are right. What we had is over. And I think it's best that we go our separate ways. Bo."
Deadeye fires. The crack shot can't hit the broad side of a barn. The bullet lands somewhere in the next county.
The sound of the wayward bullet stops the ceremony momentarily. "Bats in the belfry," says father Jansen. Everyone chuckles. Shawn runs into the sanctuary.
John takes aim, "Dammit, Belle, move!"
Abe and Roman rush in, "Come on man, you don't want to do this." John puts down the gun. "That's it, buddy," says Abe.
Roman grabs John's shoulders, "John, there is nothing we can do." John looks like he just came out of a sauna.
Jennifer sits in the restaurant. Frankie invites her to dance.
Out on the dance floor, Frankie says, "You seem tense, you OK? You don't want to be here, do you?" Jennifer stares.
Patrick asks Hope to call Bo. She gets another email. She reads it. Oh, the consternation!
Chelsea sees that Hope has received the email, "Read it and weep."
Hope bites her lip, She asked Bo for a divorce and dang if she didn't get what she asked for. Can you imagine? "Bo agreed to the divorce. He didn't even sound torn or conflicted about it."
"Are you sure," asks Patrick.
"Yeah," says Hope, "The word 'yippee' tipped me off. He's standing by Billie and Chelsea." Hope goes into complete breakdown, "He's letting me go. My God, it's over."
The brat says, "By now Hope's done reading the email. All I have left to do is cover my tracks. This worked out perfectly. There is no future for Bo and Hope."Hope bawls. They're getting divorced. Patrick says, "Well, in that case, what are you doing tonight? "
Jennifer insists she wants to be there, "There is just a lot going on in Salem right now." They go back to their table. Frankie leaves. Jennifer wonders how she will tell Frankie this is moving too fast. Frankie brings her a rose. It's a good thing John isn't around. He'd bust a cap into it.
Shawn walks up to Belle. She can't believe this is happening. Her mom is married to Alex. Shawn tells Belle, "Sometimes the wrong people end up together." Mimi watches and steams.
The bride and groom walk out. "Well," says Alex, "I see you got your man. There will be no reception. I'm rather anxious to start the wedding night." They leave. John goes berserk. Roman and Abe restrain him. FF.

Frankie says, "I really want this evening to be special for you." Jennifer says, "I can't do this."
Hope says, "I think Zack's death gave Bo the excuse he was looking for to get out of our marriage."
Billie tells Bo, "What you just wrote to her is beautiful and there is not a woman in the world who could read those words and not come running straight back to you."
The brat shows Kate her computer screen, "Bo's reply to Hope. It's a good thing it came to my computer first, huh?
Sister John
Bo works in his garden as Jennifer comes up. Bo tells Jennifer he is planting Hope's favorite flowers, and then will go paint the master bedroom. Hope's gone, but he just can't give up the life of a henpecked husband. Jennifer says Hope will appreciate it when she gets back. Bo freaks out and asks if she knows something. "No," says Jennifer, "You are going to have to take charge. You have to find her and bring her home."
Patrick offers Hope a mango papaya. He suggests she should go back to Salem and see a doctor about her back. Hope tells him that's not going to work.
Chelsea argues with Frankie about her defense. He doesn't know how he will keep her out of jail. The brat throws a fit, "I'm not going to jail. You have to do something."
Kate tells Marlena she should postpone or cancel the wedding. "We are already married," says Marlena, "This is just a formality. I'm confused about what you are up to. This way you can have John."
"I want to see you happy. And you won't be happy with Alex," says Kate.
Alex asks what Belle is doing there. She should be in the chapel getting ready for the ceremony. She says she wants to speak to Marlena. Alex doesn't think that's a good idea.
Sister John wanders around the chapel while the keystone cops plan their strategy. Mimi says hi to the nun and thinks, "Poor nun, that is the ugliest woman I have ever seen." Mimi wants to know why Roman just doesn't arrest Alex. Roman tells her they don't have proof he is going to kill Marlena. The church is guarded. Things are under control.
Sister John goes into a room and removes his habit. He is one ugly babe.
Alex says it isn't that he doesn't want Belle to see Marlena, he just doesn’t think it's a good idea at the moment. The ceremony is about to start. Belle ignores him and knocks. She tells Marlena she needs to talk to her.
Mimi grills the cops about what they are going to do about John. Abe says "Tek is here because he is the finest marksman we have. He gets a bullseye every time he hits on Lexie."
Mimi says, "So you will aim at his shoulder and make sure you don't kill him, right?"
"No," says Roman, "If John attempts to murder Alex, Tek's orders are to shoot to kill."
Sister Mary Winchester assembles the rifle, "Alex North is a monster, God. I'm sure you know it and know I am the only one who can stop him."
God says, "I don't know if you can stop Alex, Sister, but that face could stop a clock."
Patrick and Hope argue. She thinks he is trying to manipulate her to go back to Bo and work things out. Patrick says, "It sounds like you've been thinking about it. We both know you still love Bo. If you don't at least try, you can't move on."
"I know."
"See," says Patrick, "You have been thinking about it."
Bo says he loves Hope but she won't return his calls. That's not the Bo Brady Jennifer knows. He needs to start thinking like a detective, or just thinking, period. Bo thinks it would be a mistake to drag Hope home.
Frankie says their only hope is to make the jury members think they could wind up in the same position as the brat, "Everyone has been distracted when driving. Chelsea has to convince them she is truly remorseful. Then we have to get people to testify for her."
The brat says, "The only one we have to worry about is Hope. We have to make sure she doesn’t come back for the trial."
Belle begs Marlena to open the door. Kate tells Marlena she should talk to Belle. Marlena says, "She wants to keep me from marrying Alex. Belle, I'm sorry. I'm still getting dressed."
Alex is smug, "You heard your mother."
Marlena asks, "Alex... is that you? Please take Belle to the church."
Alex extends his arm, "Shall we?"
Mimi says maybe John won't show up. "Not likely," says Abe. John knows Alex is going to take Marlena away on their honeymoon, and he's determined not to let her leave town."
Roman says the airport and roads are covered, "If we don't do our jobs, Alex North and John Black will both wind up dead. At least that will end all the confusion about who the real Roman is."
John points the gun into the room. "Perfect," he says. He imagines Marlena telling him, "We have run out of time. The governor won't intervene. Why did you have to do it?"
"I did it to protect you," says the condemned man.
"He was the love of my life," says Marlena.
"He brainwashed you," says John, "One day you will remember. He's a monster."
"No," says Marlena, "You are the monster. You destroyed my life."
"Then why are you here," asks the dead-man-talking.
Marlena says, "Because you are going to die and I want to be here for it. I want your soul to rot in hell for eternity.
Back in his sniper's nest, John says, "I know you don't believe me, Doc. It will be worth dying just to keep you safe."
Frankie says Hope will be at the trial. The brat goes nuts, "Hope can't be there."
Frankie says, "Her testimony will carry a lot of weight. So will Bo's." Billie thinks Bo may be pro-brat at the trial.
Frankie says if Bo thought the little snot was responsible enough to drive, that may mean a lot.
Bo tells Jennifer he is desperate to find Hope but he has to trust that she went away to try to put things together. Jennifer argues. Bo says he has to respect what Hope wants.
"I screwed up big time," says Bo, "Because of me Zack is dead and my daughter is facing prison. My wife wants to give up on our marriage. If I can't forgive myself, how can I expect her to forgive me?"
Hope says she is happy on the island and has decided not to go back for now. Patrick says he only wants what is best for her, which is why he feels partly responsible. He discovered who was driving the SUV. Hope is glad he did that. Patrick says, "Bo made a huge mistake. If you want to work this through the two of you need to be together."
Hope sees a couple kissing and imagines it is she and Bo.
Kate wonders why Marlena can't remember she loves John. Marlena remembers scenes of her and John together. Then she remembers being with Alex. Alex calls from the hallway and asks if she is ready. Marlena hesitates, "Yes, just a minute."
Alex is getting nervous, "I know you are just like me and can't wait to renew our vows." He remembers drugging her. "Aren't I right?"
Marlena is unenthusiastic, "Yes."
"Good," says Alex, "I'll be waiting at the altar. I'll be dying to see you march down the aisle. I love you... Did you hear me?"
"I... love... you... too..."
Kate asks, "Alex has done something to you, hasn't he?"
"Yes," says Marlena, "he has."
Alex comes into the sanctuary. Roman wants to do another quick search. Shawn volunteers to help.
Mimi assures Belle things will be OK. Belle says even if they stop John, they still can't stop the wedding. She apologizes for interrupting the honeymoon. She says she didn't go to Phillip for help because of his leg. Mimi says Phillip can do anything even without a leg, but what he should do is take it off and whack Belle with it. Belle shifts gears and says she was on autopilot and just went to Shawn out of habit. Mimi accepts her apology, "You interrupted our honeymoon, but Shawn and I will have all the Days Of Our Lives together."
John aims, "North will be standing right there." He lasers in on a rose and squeezes one off. The bullet zips into the rose and blows it to smithereens. First a watermelon, then a rose. Can no one stop this menace to the plant kingdom? "
"Did you hear that whizzing sound," asks Mimi.
John takes aim, "As soon as North says 'I do,' he's a dead man."
Jennifer works on Bo. He can't give up. He claims he's not giving up. He just hopes the time away will allow Hope to heal. Jennifer asks, "Are you saying you don't want her to testify against Chelsea?"
"I want her home," says Bo, "But yeah, I don't want her to testify. Chelsea is terrified of prison. She acts tough, but she is a scared kid."
Jennifer says, "She and Abby have been friends a long time. Chelsea is an expert manipulator. Don't let her drive a wedge between you and Hope."
"You're right," says Bo, "She can manipulate. But she is genuinely scared."
Jennifer suggests, "Maybe prison would be the best thing for her."
"No," says Bo, "There are times she questions whether life is worth living. I don't want to lose another child."
"She needs a little push," says Jennifer, "Off a cliff. Maybe if it's a fair sentence she can turn her life around."
Bo says, "What she wants is to be loved and to be part of a family."
Jennifer asks, "Does she want that family to be you and Hope and Shawn or you and her and Billie?"
Hope watches the couple romp. "You're thinking about Bo aren't you," asks Patrick.
"No," she lies.
"I can see it in your eyes," says Patrick, "You love him."
"I love him but this is about trust," says Hope, "He lied to me."
Patrick asks, "Are you willing to throw away everything?"
"He has spent every minute with Billie and Chelsea since I have been gone – no since before I was gone – trying to find a way to keep her out of prison."
Patrick says, "That girl lies even when she doesn't have to."
Hope says, "Well, it's true, she always has wanted to be like Mimi. If Bo hadn't been so willing to be taken in by Chelsea's manipulations, my baby... he'd still be here." She goes inside.
Billie insists Bo will testify in favor of the brat.
"Unless Hope shows up," says the little snot, "We have to keep her away."
Frankie tells the brat to stay out of trouble as he leaves. Billie says, "I know what's going on in that little brain of yours. Don't do anything else to come between Bo and Hope."
Bo says, "The bottom line is I love Hope and I want her home. Right now it's her move." Frankie shows up. Bo asks how the defense is shaping up.
"It will be hard to keep her out of jail," says Frankie.
"But you're not giving up, right," asks Bo.
"Right."
Billie lectures. She says she has been wrong. Bo and Hope belong together.
The brat says, "Cross my heart I won't do anything to make things worse. I mean it this time. I have really learned my lesson. In the meantime, I have a new job... selling bridges. Would you like to buy one? "
"I hope you really mean it this time," says Billie. The brat looks at her computer screen. Billie is suspicious, "What are you doing?"
The little snot just can't believe Billie would be so untrusting, "Checking my email... see!"
"I'm sorry," says Billie, "I didn't mean to accuse."
"I understand," says the magnanimous little witch, "I will have to earn your trust."
Billie goes for coffee and a soda.
The brat says, "There is no way I am letting that Hope send me to prison. I have to keep her away and I know how to do it." She types a message, "Perfect! SEND!"
Patrick insists Hope has to get in touch with Bo before the situation hits the point of no return. Hope's computer beeps. "Sounds like an email," says Patrick.
"Bo sends me one or two a day," says Hope.
"Aren't you at least going to look at it," asks Patrick.
Hope sits at her computer, "OMG... I don't believe this. Some poor guy in Nigeria wants me to handle his fortune and all I have to do is give him my bank account number."
Kate asks, "What has Alex done to you?"
"He's shown me the true meaning of love," says Marlena.
"John loves you," says Kate.
"He says he does," says Marlena, "But all I see coming from him is anger and hatred. Alex has not manipulated me. That's all in John's mind. Alex shows me kindness and understanding. I love him with all my heart."
"You can't remember your past," says Kate.
"I can't live in my past," says Marlena, "Alex is my present and my future. I hope John can find happiness, maybe with you. He is not my husband. I know you want to be with him. I'm not standing in your way. I would love some time alone to collect my thoughts, please."
Kate leaves. Marlena remembers marrying John. She shakes it off, picks up her flowers and goes outside.
"That was a bizarre sound," says Mimi, "Oh well."
The wedding begins. John watches through the scope. Marlena comes down the aisle. Marlena and Alex stand at the altar. Marlena says, "All right."
Alex says, "It will be as soon as you say, 'I do.'"
Belle stews. The cops watch. Shawn looks up and sees the gun pointing toward Alex. He calls Abe over and shows him. Roman swings into action. Abe tells Tek, "Use the confessional as a blind. Don't shoot until you have a bead on him." Tek aims. John aims.
"Gotcha," says Tek.
Tek squeezes the trigger. John squeezes the trigger.

The brat stares at her computer and says, "I'm gonna have front row seats to witness the fallout... after Hope goes ballistic."
Hope says, "I'm gonna email Bo. I want a divorce."
Frankie tells Jennifer, "I want to take you To Green Mountain Lodge. I want to show you a good time."
Shawn tells Belle, "Sometimes the wrong people end up together."
John takes aim and says, "Forgive me for what I am about to do, but it's the only way I can get him away from her."
She Barged In At A Very Climactic Moment
Lucas pops the question.
Carrie is stunned, "Lucas, I'm honored. I don't want to know what to say."
"How about yes," says the lost puppy.
Sami watches and imagines marrying Lucas. "Do you promise to love, cherish and keep fighting like a couple of gamecocks all the Days Of Your Lives," asks Father Jansen. Lucas does. Sami does. Sami cries in her pew. Austin watches.
Carrie says she can't, and runs out.
Belle interrupts the blissful couple. She tells them, "Someone is going to die today if we don't do something to stop it." She's right. Shawn and Mimi are both having homicidal thoughts at the moment.
Celeste! "The spirit world is restless! Mon Dieu! No!"
Lexie walks in the park and talks on her phone. She says she will leave her pager on in case Mr. Lewis codes. What good that will do Mr. Lewis, no one knows. Tek meets her as she walks. She asks about John. Tek says, "We have officers looking for him all over the city. Of course the Salem PD couldn't find its butt with both hands, so John doesn't have to worry." He tells her to be careful.
Abe, Roman and Alex talk. Abe tells Alex if he isn't careful he could leave St. Luke's in a coffin. Alex isn't going to let John stop his big day. He leaves. Abe says, "I think this isn't even about protecting Marlena. John simply wants Alex dead."
John assembles his rifle. He grits his teeth and says, "I pledge my love to you, Doc. And to prove that love, I swear before God, before this day is over Alex North will never be able to hurt you again. Once he is gone, all you'll have to worry about is me being around you with this elephant gun."
Kate asks Marlena, "Did you say you are in love with John? Does that mean you remember your life with him?"
Marlena remembers their wedding. "I don't know why this is happening now and not earlier," says Marlena, "I'm marrying Alex, but my heart is with John."
Alex overhears, "You're forcing me to take your life." He pulls a syringe out of his pocket.
Belle invites herself into the love shack. Shawn wants to know what is so important. "It's my dad," says Belle, "He plans to make sure Mom doesn't renew her vows – by killing Alex. I didn't know where else to go for help." Mimi can think of a place where Belle can go.
Marlena says this is more like déjà vu. Alex listens, "As long as she doesn't get her full memory back, things will work out."
Kate leaves and says to herself, "Marlena has her memory back. That means John and I don't have a chance."
Alex comes into Marlena's room and stands behind her.
Roman walks around trying to look like a real cop. Abe wishes Alex would give up the idea of going through with this wedding today, "It's almost as if he wants John to kill him. When you were out of town, I heard Alex goad John more than once."
"John is a hell of a shot," says Roman, "He can pick off a watermelon at five feet. Alex must have a death wish."
John unfolds a map of the church, "They are good, but I am better."
Lucas chases Carrie. Austin and Sami stop him. Austin tells him, "Carrie likes to take things slow, because that's the way her mind works... very slow."
"Except for the time she ran away with Mike," says Sami.
"She needs me," insists Lucas.
"She ran away from you and you think she needs you," says Sami.
Lucas snaps back, "My future doesn't concern you any more. You gave birth to our son and that's where our relationship ends... I'm going to spend the rest of my life with Carrie."
Austin says, "Do it your way. You're going to lose her."
"I already got her," snaps Lucas, "She picked me over you, or did you miss that chapter?" He runs out.
Austin apologizes to Sami for the way Lucas talked to her. She thinks Austin felt as bad as she did when Lucas proposed. She thought Austin and Carrie had something special.
Lucas catches up with Carrie. He says he shouldn't have rushed her, "We talked about taking things slow, but then we talked about you wanting to have kids right away."
"I don't blame you for being confused," she says.
Doofus asks, "You still want to have a relationship with me, right?"
"Definitely," says Carrie, "I just want to take things slow. I tend to mess up when I rush into everything."
"I kind of did the same thing... Even though I love Will dearly, I have to deal with Sami for the rest of my life."
Carrie says, "Sometimes I can't believe Sami and I are sisters. I love her and I know a part of you does to. Are you sure you don't want to be with her?"
"Carrie, you are the only one I have ever wanted." He smiles, "How was the proposal in there on a scale of one to ten?"
"Since when does 'suck' fall between one and ten," asks Carrie.
Lexie tells Tek it's kind of him to be so concerned about her. Tek thinks North is purposely making himself the target. Lexie wants to help Marlena. She tells Tek Alex saw them making love, a euphemism for 'going at it like teenage minks' , and has threatened to tell Abe. Tek gets macho. Lexie stops him. Celeste watches in the background as Lexie tells Tek he can't let Abe find out about their affair.
Kate comes out and tells them Marlena has her memory back. Lexie rushes to see for herself.
Celeste walks up and whaps Tek in the chops, "YOU BASTARD!"
Shawn tells Belle to be calm. Waste of breath. Belle tells him John is desperate, "Will you please help me find my dad?"
"I would love to," says Shawn, "but I'm on my honeymoon."
Unenthusiastic Mimi tells Shawn they should go help Belle. She is going with him, though. Belle thanks them. Shawn goes to get their coats. Mimi bawls her out for going to Shawn instead of Phillip. They all leave.
Abe reconnoiters with a cop. Roman interrupts, "I have checked every inch of this church. The guy has bone missing."
Alex stands behind Marlena and jams the hypo into her shoulder. Marlena shudders. He tells her, "On the count of three you will not remember..."
Lexie and Kate come up too the door. Happy, happy. Lexie says, "Now Marlena won't have to marry that smarmy Alex, and she and John can be together... I'm sorry. I know you and John have gotten very close. They say there is one man for every woman, but I don't believe that. And in your case, Kate, sentiment like that is ludicrous." Apparently, yours, too, Lexie.
Kate says, "John is my best friend now, but when I heard Marlena say she loved him it cut into my heart. Now he might not have a place for me in his heart. But if I do love him, shouldn't I want him to be happy?"
Kate and Lexie come in. Kate says, "Tell Lexie what you told me – that you remember being in love with John."
Marlena says, "Where did you get an idea like that? I don't love John at all. I love Alex."
Lexie thinks, "Why do I get the feeling if I performed brain surgery on her right now I'd find a parking space for the Hindenburg? "
John looks at the map of the catacombs. He finds the perfect place to carry out his dastardly plot. He says, "The SOB is going to hit the ground before anybody can even blink."
Tek blocks another smack from Celeste. He tells Celeste Lexie makes her own choices, "She needs love and isn't getting it from her husband." Celeste tells him Lexie and Abe have a bond, which Tek can't break. She won't allow him to destroy Lexie's life.
Carrie wants some time alone. She tells Lucas they are OK, though. He leaves. Austin comes up to her.
Lucas goes back into the empty sanctuary. Sami sits alone and asks how it went.
Lucas is defensive, "Why do you want to know?"
Sami huffs, "That bad, huh? Did she accept your proposal?"
"We're taking it slow," says Lucas, "Cut the crap. I will win her in the end. You will strike out with Austin and wind up alone." He storms out.
Lexie says, "Kate told me you said you love John." Marlena just can't imagine. Alex eavesdrops. Lexie asks, "Why would Kate make up something like that."
Marlena drones, "All I know is I love Alex, and he was my first love."
Kate works on her, "I know you don't remember. But just a few minutes ago I saw I saw a spark of the Marlena I used to know. Now she is gone. Where did she go? Something here is just plain wrong."
"Stop it," says Marlena. Lexie asks for some time alone with her.
Alex listens and thinks, "Poor Dr. Carver. Your powers as a doctor are no match for me."
Lexie grills Marlena, "Yesterday you said your memory had come back. Then it turned out it hadn't. Something isn't right here."
"I just want to be with Alex," says Marlena, "If I wanted to be with John, I would be comfortable saying that."
Lexie remembers discovering Alex hypnotizing her. She thinks, "John is right. Alex is brainwashing you and I can't tell anyone what I know."
Shawn, Mimi and Belle come into the church. Kate sees them and asks, "What's this, the shortest honeymoon in history?" Mimi takes Kate aside and tells her want is going on.
Kate can't believe it, "Belle came for Shawn? She got him out of your bed?"
Mimi says, "I have to admit, she barged in at a very climactic moment."
Kate becomes unhinged, "You need to get back to the cabin or take me up on my offer! You need to stop Belle from hanging around Shawn or you will live to regret it!"
Shawn and Belle tell Roman and Abe they are looking for John. Roman tells Shawn he should be with Mimi.
Alex comes in. He tells Abe this has all become very irritating to him.
"I'm sorry this is so irritating for you," says Abe, "But we are officers of the law trying to save your life." He gets a call. "Commissioner... I respectfully disagree sir. I am here on the scene. I have a better understanding... yes sir, I understand." Abe asks to speak to Roman in private.
Belle frets. She is so scared for her dad. She hugs Shawn as Mimi comes soaks it in.
Abe tells Roman, "The Commissioner said John is into it deep and there is no getting out." It's getting deep all right...
John checks his plans, "No exit plan... Doc, someday you will understand I'm doing this for you. I'll gladly give my own life to save yours."
Tek tells Celeste Lexie doesn't need protection from him. Celeste insists he is out to ruin Lexie's life. He reminds her he took care of Lexie when Abe was on the island. She can't stop him from being with her every chance he gets.
"I just feel so edgy," says Carrie, "I can't believe how I acted in there."
"You were surprised by the proposal," says Austin, "I could tell you were uncomfortable. That's why I came."
"You have to stop," she insists.
Lucas catches up to Sami and says he knows exactly what he wants. Sami insists he wanted them to get back together yesterday. They argue. Sami says Carrie will never marry him, "You are Carrie's second choice. Austin is her true love. What does that say about your self-respect?"
Lucas shoots back, "My self-respect? The day after I left you at the altar you asked him to move in with you. You blew every chance you've had with love. He isn't interested in you. Austin's interested in the good sister and we both know who that is!"
Celeste paces, "Alexandra has lost her way. It is up to me to help her find her way back. You can talk, Thomas Kramer. You talked her right into your arms. Your time is up. I will stop you from destroying her life."
Austin understands. He says he is too hard on Lucas. He's his brother and will stop doing that. He changes the subject. He asks if she missed the seasons in LA, "Spring is a good time for beginnings. I really do want you to be happy."
Carrie says, "Thank you."
"For what?"
"For being you."And thank you for that gripping dialogue.Lucas tells Sami not to cry. He didn't mean what he said, "If I meant it, I shouldn't have said it. That's why we fight all the time. That's why we aren’t together."
Sami yells, "We aren't together because of your mother."
"We weren’t meant to be together, even though we are a family," says Lucas.
"Yes we are," says Sami, "And Will is upset because we can't be a united family. I won't forget what we shared, but that isn't enough to build a life around."
"We always end up fighting," says Lucas, "We have to stop caring and move on."
"I already have."
"Right," snorts Lucas, "Good luck with that." Sami turns to leave. Lucas says, "Sami, good luck with Austin. Seriously." She leaves.
Belle thanks Shawn. He would do anything for her, "But it doesn't look good to Phillip and Mimi. We aren't being fair to them. You should turn to Phillip for support, not me. But I will do anything I can to help." He goes back to Mimi. Belle frets.
Lexie and Kate talk. Lexie couldn't get through to Marlena. Kate says, "It hurt like hell when she said she loves John. The one who stands to suffer the most is John."
Abe says, "The news is worse than I thought. If John attempts to enter the church, the order has been sent down to take him out."
Marlena says, "I'm sorry I don't remember you John, but don't do anything to ruin my wedding to Alex."
John stalks, "I won't let Alex hurt you, Doc. I'm going in. FF on John emerging from the bushes.

Bo tells Jennifer, "My wife wants to give up on our marriage. If I can't forgive myself, how can I expect her to forgive me?"
Hope tells Patrick, "If Bo hadn't been so willing to be taken in by Chelsea's manipulations, my baby... he'd still be here."
Marlena and Alex stand at the altar. Marlena says, "All right." Alex says, "It will be as soon as you say, 'I do.'"
John takes aim, "As soon as North says 'I do,' he's a dead man."
The Watermelon Dies
Lucas cooks. Carrie comes out. He has made pancakes and sausage just for her. She can't believe he did this. He can't believe she picked him. We can't believe we're seeing this.
Carrie goes out to get the paper and of course Austin is in the hall. They say good morning. Sami watches.
Shawn lights a fire in the Horton cabin. Then he grabs Mimi and lights her fire. They find a present from Alice. Shawn opens the box and says, "My gosh I don't believe it."
Belle comes into Marlena's room. Marlena is a bit nervous but can't understand why. She asks Belle to be her matron of honor. Belle refuses. She doesn't want the marriage to go through.
Alex listens outside the door and says, "There is nothing you or anyone can do to stop me."
Kate finds John with his popgun. Kate asks, "What are you going to do John? Are you going to shoot him?"
John says, "Well you can't very well marry a dead man, can you?"
"So you're going to kill him," says Kate.
"Yes," says John, "With your help."
Kate asks, "You want me to help you murder Alex?"
"Of course not, Kate," says John, "I would never put you in that position."
Kate hits the nail on the head, "This is insane."
"You are the only one I trust now," grumbles John, "I've drawn papers to put you in complete charge of my company and the trust for my kids. I have thought this through."
Kate says, "Marlena is such a fool for choosing Alex when she could have the Salem Sniper instead."
"She didn't choose Alex," says John, "She's been manipulated. She will regain her memory but for that to happen he needs to be removed."
"I can't let you do that," says Kate, "I'm calling Roman." John tells her to put the phone down.
Roman tells Abe they have to secure the church, then find John and keep him under surveillance. Tek walks out into the narthex and sees Lexie. Abe comes out and Tek skedaddles.
Abe tells Lexie he wants a sample of the sleeping tablets Marlena is taking. Lexie remembers Alex' threat.
Abe asks, "Are you all right?"
"Yeah, fine," says Lexie.
Abe says, "Can you just make sure Marlena is OK? Be careful. If Alex is a dangerous as John says..."
Belle asks about Marlena's vows to her dad, "Why don't you want things the way they used to be?"
Conveniently the little clock chimes. Marlena remembers John's words; whenever it chimes, she should remember his love for her.
Belle asks Marlena, "What is it? You remember something, don't you?"
Sami listens to Carrie and Austin. In some circles, this is called eavesdropping. Austin says it isn't easy giving up his dream. She still cares about him. "Then why did you choose Lucas," asks Austin.
Carrie remembers Lexie's genetic marker speech, "I have made my decision." You have to accept it. Lucas comes out and gets her. Sami comes out and drags Austin back inside.
Lucas leans against the doorway and says to himself, "I got the perfect way to make you forget about Austin for good."
Shawn and Mimi got a check from Alice to make things "easier" along the way. "A little easier," says Mimi, "This is a lot."
They also have a book that tells the story of the Hortons and the Brady's. Smooch.
Belle thinks something has happened. She saw it in Marlena's eyes, "You remember dad giving you this clock, don't you?"
Marlena says she wishes Belle would be part of the wedding. Belle agrees to do it. She will be matron of honor. Alex knocks.
"Who is it," asks Marlena.
Alex says, "We should be getting to the church. I'll go on ahead since I'm' not supposed to see you before the wedding."
Marlena goes to get dressed. Belle sneaks the clock into her purse, "This may be my last chance to get Mom and Dad back together."
Catatonic John speaks in measured tones, "Put the phone down Kate. If you turn against me too..."
"I'd never do that," says Kate.
"Then please keep this to yourself," he says.
"If that's what you want," says Kate.
"I don't like what I'm about to do," says John, "Old habits die hard. I have worked hard to expose Alex North but always looked like the bad guy to Marlena. If her life weren't at risk, I'd let her go right on thinking that. Alex is going to kill her. I can't let that happen. Goodbye Kate." Smooch.
John leaves. Kate cries.
Roman tells Abe he hates doing this. John is their friend. Abe understands. John walks in as Abe says they can't let him play vigilante.
"I'm sorry you find it necessary to be here," says John, "I'm going to protect Marlena no matter what."
Roman asks, "Did you bring a gun with you?"
He unzips his jacket and shows Roman there is nothing there. Then he takes off his hat and shows Roman there is nothing there either. "I'd never do that," says John. He crosses himself, "I'm here to go to confession."
He leaves. Roman says, "I've got a bad feeling."
John tells Father Jansen he needs forgiveness for a grievous sin.
"What sin," asks the Father.
"Murder."
Marlena and Belle are in the prep room at the church. Marlena has a big case of the butterflies.
"Maybe that's your subconscious telling you you're making a mistake," says Belle. Lexie walks in and agrees. The clock chimes.
"You brought that here to remind me of John, didn't you," asks Marlena.
"Yes," says Belle, "Because I've seen how you react to it."
Alex listens, "I have to put a stop to this now." The flower delivery boy comes up to him. "There is a little something I'd like you to do for me," says Alex.
Belle and Lexie gang up on Marlena. There is a knock at the door, "Flowers for Dr. Evans."
They let him in and he puts them on the table. As he does, he knocks the clock off the stand and it breaks.
Belle picks up the pieces, "It's ruined."
The delivery boy apologizes. He leaves. No tip for the spaz.
Belle whines, "This was the one thing that could make you remember."
Alex listens and says, "Poor Belle... Now I have your mother exactly where I want her."
John tells the priest, "Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I haven't committed this act yet."
Father Jansen says, "You know I can't give you absolution, then. Have you gone to the police?"
"Yes," says John, "But they are more focused on helping him."
Father Jansen gets a clue, "Are you talking about Dr. North? Do you believe he is a danger?"
"Yeah," says John, "I head if from his own lips. I don't have a choice."
"But to commit murder..."
"Yes," says John, "Even that."
Belle says, "That clock was the one thing that helped her to remember. Now it's destroyed." Lexie tries to be upbeat. She leaves. Belle says, "I do still have one more hope. OK mom, come with me, I have something for you. I found this rosary. Something old. I think you gave it to dad on your wedding day, remember?"
"Uh, it's lovely," stammers Marlena.
"This is something new," says Belle. A heart shaped locket that says Claire. "Next, a string of pearls." They are Marlena's old pearls. "You asked Dad to give them to me on my wedding day. So now I'm loaning them to you."
She pulls out a blue ribbon. It's from John and Marlena's wedding when Belle was a flower girl, "I'll never forget that, or how much you and Dad love each other."
Marlena remembers John asking her to marry her.
"Mom," asks Belle, "Do you remember something? Are you having second thoughts?"
"No," says Marlena, "I'm not. I promised Alex I was going to marry him. We're going through with it today."Alex listens outside the door, "Good girl. There is no way you will change your mind now."
The tiresome foursome arrives. Sami tells Austin she thinks Marlena is making a big mistake.
Carrie tells Lexie she has selected Lucas as chump of the year. Lexie calls Sami over, "Are you happy now your blackmail worked?"
Sami says, "Carrie could have told Austin the whole story – that they couldn't have kids together."
"It's your sick lie," says Lexie.
Sami snaps back, "You are the one who told it so if you don't want to lose your medical license... You get to keep Abe and I'll be happy with Austin."
Lexie says, "Austin is a one-woman man and that woman is your sister. Just because Carrie doesn't want him doesn't mean he will settle for you."
Lexie leaves. Sami stews, "I'd think you'd learn, Lexie. No one stops Sami Brady from getting what she wants."
Shawn stares at the page where Alice entered Zack's birth date. Shawn says he should enter his death. They talk about Zack being a part of Claire. Shawn feels so close to her.
Mimi says, "You should enter Claire's birth date in the book."
Shawn says, "I'm not sure if we should. She's not a Horton or a Brady."
Mimi says, "Yes, she is." Shawn stares.
Roman asks Kate if John said anything about his plans. Kate says John was secretive. John walks up and asks her if she is enjoying the festivities.
"I am here to see Marlena."
Roman asks John to back off. "Gotta go," says Rambo.
Lexie tells Abe Marlena is going through with the wedding, "There will be hell to pay."
The ubiquitous Alex listens, "If the police can't control John, I'd better take things into my own hands."
Lucas tells Carrie, "I've been spending a lot of time in churches lately and I have a confession to make." Carrie can't wait to hear this one.
John lights a candle, "I gotta go, Kate. It's time." Kate asks him to reconsider. "No," says John, "Eliminating Alex is the only way to keep Marlena safe."
Kate asks, "Is he worth going to prison for?"
"No," says John, "Marlena's life is. We talked about this. No one's gonna know. I'm trusting you." Belle overhears and tries to process things. She runs off.
Marlena paces. She sits and looks at the pearls. She remembers a romantic bath with John and stares at herself in the mirror.
Mimi says, "Claire is our goddaughter. She wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the transplant from Zack."
"You're right," says Shawn, "So she goes into the book." He writes Claire's name in the book, and then enters the date of Zack's death. He tells Mimi they have to focus on the future. Pretty soon they will be putting their kid's name in the book.
He picks her up. She yells, "Hey, you're carrying me again."
He flings her on the bed, "I want you to conserve your energy for this..."
Sami hates that Marlena is marrying Alex, "There isn't anything I can do about it, though. Fate is fate. I'll just have to accept it. Look at Shawn and Mimi – who would have thought they would be married. With all these weddings you have to look at the future."
Austin says, "I have to be honest. I don't see a wedding in my future."
Carrie asks Lucas about his confession. He says hardly got any sleep last night. He thought about coming into her room. He is so happy she chose him. Things will be perfect.
"Relationships never are perfect," says Carrie.
"It will be perfect if I can make you happy," says Lucas, "I went out this morning and got you a little surprise." Sami and Austin watch.
Tek comes back. He lost John.
"Next best thing – we find Alex," says Roman.
Alex asks a cop if he's seen John.
"I'm looking for him myself," says the cop.
John stalks in the weeds, "Say goodbye Alex North, you are a dead man." Alex wanders in the woods. John aims. John fires. The bullet zips through the silencer and heads toward its target.
Shawn and Mimi romp. And who should knock at the door? Belle barges in, "I need you." Shawn and Mimi stare in horror.
Lucas opens the box and shows Carrie the ring, "Carrie, Will you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you be my wife?" In the distance, we hear the sound of a lead balloon crashing. Carrie stares. The whole church stares.
The cop comes back, "No sign of Mr. Black."
Alex says, "Just make sure he doesn't get anywhere near the church."
The watermelon dies as John's bullet smashes it to pieces. John surveys the damage. He takes a bite. "I see I haven't lost my touch," says Deadeye, "I can still hit a watermelon with a Howitzer at point blank range."
Meanwhile, the caterer goes berserk, "Where the hell is the watermelon I got for the reception? "
Marlena babbles, "How can I go through with this? I can't renew my wedding vows. I love John."
Kate asks "Did I hear right?"
"Oh, Kate...."
"OMG," says Kate, "It's true. You remember your past with John."
Marlena says, "What am I going to do?" FF.

Lucas screams at Sami, "Austin's interested in the good sister and we both know who that is!"
Austin says, "I really do want you to be happy." Carrie says, "Thank you."
Kate says, "Tell Lexie what you told me – that you remember being in love with John." Marlena says, "I don't love John at all. I love Alex."
John assembles his rifle, "I pledge my love to you, Doc. Alex North will never hurt you again."
Chris/Roman asks, "If John/Roman kills Alex/Roman, should we count that as a murder-suicide? And just where does that leave me? "
Goodbye Kiss
Belle comes downstairs as Phillip tries to get Claire to sleep. He tells Claire he is the luckiest man in the world. They mean everything to him. Belle overhears and cries. He asks what is wrong. Nothing, of course. "You're definitely not fine," says Phillip, "You're crying. I know why. Tonight you finally realized you lost Shawn for good."
Shawn carries Mimi over the threshold. He claims he is the luckiest guy in the world, "Today was a great day and tonight will be even better."
Lucas says, "You really meant what you said to your mom, didn't you?"
"I meant it," says Sami, "But don't worry. We won't get back together."
Lucas says, "Sami, I've been thinking..."
Sami interrupts as she sees Carrie and Austin come in, "Dammit!" She lifts her glass, "Here's to us, Lucas. Losers to the end. Carrie chose Austin."
Carrie asks if Austin should go tell Sami and Lucas the news. "First this...," he kisses her.
Alex kisses Marlena and tells her to get some sleep. He takes Lexie out into the hallway. Lexie thinks she should stay and keep and eye on Marlena. Alex says, "You want to poison her against me, so I think not. You blatantly tried to manipulate her under your care. You are lucky I didn't file a formal complaint."
"I was only trying to help," says Lexie.
"It's high time," says Alex, "you and the rest of Salem realize she belongs to me and no on else."
John carefully sets a case down on the table in front of him. He growls, "Think you're going to marry Marlena? I'll blow your head off before that happens."
The door slams behind him. Abe says, "If that's the case, John, then you're under arrest."
Marlena sleeps. Alex asks what it will take for Lexie to realize Marlena loves him. Lexie says she thinks they should hold off on the wedding vows. Marlena won't want to be with Alex when she gets her memory back.
John reminds Abe he isn't back on the force, so he can't arrest him. "CITIZEN'S ARREST... CITIZEN'S ARREST," says Abe.
John says, "If I don't do something, she is dead."
Austin asks if Carrie is sure she wants to talk to Lucas. "Yeah," says Carrie, "I have made up my mind, and have to let Lucas know."
Sami says, "You were going to say something before they walked in."
Carrie interrupts. She needs to speak to Lucas alone. Austin takes Sami for a drink.
"It's all right," says Lucas, "It's obvious you've made your decision."
"I have," says Carrie.
Phillip understands how Belle feels. Belle admits it was on her mind, "It was so hard knowing he moved on without me."
Phillip yells, "How could you say that? Would you rather be without me?"
Shawn gets it on. Mimi stops things. She doesn't want to romp in Caroline's wedding dress. They might tear it. He goes to get champagne. Mimi runs across the love letters Rex returned to her. She flashes back to going through the box he sent. "I've done it again," says Mimi, "I should have told Shawn he's the father of Belle's baby. I should have told him the truth."
With impeccable DOOL writer timing, Shawn walks in and asks, "The truth about what?"
Marlena dreams. She goes through a myriad of on-again, off-again scenes with John and Alex, and then wakes with a start.
Lexie tells Alex as Marlena's doctor she will insist she not go through with the ceremony. Alex says he will decide. Marlena comes out of her room and says, "I can decide for myself."
Abe warns John if he goes through with his plan, he could wind up in jail for the rest of his life. "At least I would know she was safe," says John.
"What if she was back with you," says Abe, "Do you think she would approve of cold-blooded murder?" John stares.
Sami says, "I'm just gonna assume my sister made her choice."
"Yep," says Austin.
"I don't think it's right what she put you and Lucas through," says Sami.
"Lucas and me," asks Austin, "What about the audience? "
Carrie says she could have handled this better but Lucas has been a friend. Lucas was hoping for more than a friendship. "I'll spare you having to break the bad news," says Lucas, "It's pretty clear who you have chosen."
Austin says, "She just needed time to make her decision."
"It's obvious she was gonna choose you," says Sami, "Why did she drag it out?"
"Are you kidding," asks Lucas, "Besides, what makes you think she chose me?"
Carrie tells Lucas he's jumping to conclusions. Lucas asks, "Are you telling me you didn't choose my brother?"
Sami says, "It's obvious Carrie has loved you her entire life..."
"Sami," he interrupts, "She didn't choose me."
"No," says Carrie, "I didn't choose Austin. You're the one I want to be with."
Belle assures Phillip she made her choice when she married him. She just can't believe Shawn moved on so fast. Phillip says he would never get over it if he lost Belle, "What we have is deeper than a childhood fantasy of what love should be. We are a real family now."
"Thank you for being so understanding," says Belle, "I'm so lucky to have you."
"I love you."
"I love you, too," says Belle.
Mimi tells Shawn she found the love letters she wrote to Rex, "It hit me our marriage could be headed in the same direction. There are things I haven't told you."
Shawn says, "Whatever it is, it can't be that bad."
Mimi says, "It is."
Shawn says, "OMG, no! Don't tell me you've decided to cook breakfast for me tomorrow! "
Sami is shocked, "When you came in you were kissing. What was that about?"
"It was a goodbye kiss," says Austin, "She wants Lucas."
Sami spins around, "Lucas?"
Austin asks, "Are you OK?
"I just never realized I'd lose him to my sister," says Sami.
"No matter how many times you try to deny it," says Austin, "you are still in love with him, aren't you?"
Lucas asks if he heard her right. Carrie confirms it. Austin and her aren't happening. Lucas asks why. Carrie flashes back to her conversation with Lexie; the dreaded genetic marker lie, "I chose you because I thought it would be possible to have a real future with you – a family. What we have dreamed about for all the Days Of Our Lives."
"I have to ask," says Lucas, "Are you still in love with my brother?"
Austin says when they came in it looked like something was going on between Sami and Lucas. "That will never happen," says Sami, "especially now that he has Carrie."
Carrie says, "Austin is my past and you are my future. I need a little time. Would you mind taking things slow?"
Lucas is enthusiastic, "Not at all."
Carrie says, "If it works out... you already have Will. Are you sure you want another kid at this point?"
Sami asks if Austin wants to talk about it.
"No."
Sami assures him, "You're gonna be fine. You will meet someone else and move on."
"I don't' think so," says Austin, "I'm gonna give up on love for a while. Business is all I will think about."
Sami says, "I'm sure people would be relieved to have you out of the gene pool, but you really can't give up on love."
"I'm OK," he insists, "I will be fine. It's done. Carrie is gone. There is nothing left to fight for."
Sami asks, "What about me?"
Marlena tells them they woke her up. If they are talking about her condition she wants to be a part of the conversation. Lexie tells her she doesn't think she is up for the wedding tomorrow. She asks Marlena to promise she will wait until she recuperates.
"No," says Marlena, "But I will see how I feel when I wake up."
Alex takes her back to bed. Lexie stews. Alex tucks her in, "Sweet dreams."
Out in the hall he says, "Good night to you too, Dr. carver. You are leaving now if I have to physically eject you. Your services are no longer required. Have you forgotten I know your nasty secret? Wouldn't it be a shame if it came up now? I mean, you cheating with that young, cocky detect..."
Lexie starts to slap him, "You son of..."
He blocks her, "I would not do that if I were you." Lexie pulls away and leaves.
John puts on his macho act, "Marlena knows, or at least will know, how far I will go to protect her. She also knows it won't be the first time I have taken a life."
Abe reminds him, "You were under Stefano's control."
John turns, "Look me in the eye and tell me if he were going after Lexie you wouldn't do the exact same thing."
Abe gets a call, "I have to go. Think this through. Don't do anything hasty or foolish. We will figure out a way to handle this. We will." He leaves.
Mr. Hasty and Foolish says, "I'm out of options Abraham. If I don't make my move now it's too late."
Phillip and Belle smooch. He thinks it's past everybody's bedtime. He asks with enthusiasm, "Are you ready to hit the hay?"
Belle is ready, but first, "I have to call my dad. My mom came home today and is supposed to remarry Alex tomorrow. It's a total mess."
Phillip takes Claire upstairs. Belle paces. She goes outside and stares at a rose on the floor. She picks up the rose, gives it a sniff and weeps.
Shawn tells Mimi today starts a clean slate, "Whatever it is we leave it in the past and focus on the future."
Mimi insists, "I have to tell you right now. It can't wait any longer." YAWN.
"Or what," asks Shawn, "The world will end? I love you and you love me. That is all that matters." Smooch. "This is a beautiful dress but I was wondering... Can I take you out of it?"
"Down boy, I can handle it."
"Before that," says Shawn, "I have a little toast." He pours the bubbly and turns on Lifehouse's You and Me. He toasts, "To us... a long and happy life together." She grabs him and kisses him. The wedding night festivities begin.
Belle paces on the roof. The audience yells, "Jump! Jump!" Belle contemplates the initials on the door. We flash back through Shawn and Belle scenes.
Focus in on the door... S&B... Senseless and Brainless... She leans against the door.
Lucas would love to have another child. Carrie just wanted to make sure they are on the same page. It's the same page all right. The same blank page. Then she asks, "Are you really over Sami?"
Lucas looks over at Sami. He says, "You are the one I have always wanted to be with. Now that it's a reality I want to make it work." Translation – no.
Sami tells Austin she got her heart broken too, "If someone like you gives up, maybe I will too. I have to believe there is hope out there – for both of us. Especially for you. You didn't deserve this."
Austin says, "I think that is one of the most honest and unselfish things you have said in a long time."
Sami says, "If they want to be together there is nothing we can do to stop them."
Austin decides to go home to get some work done. He finishes both their drinks and tells Sami there is someone out there for her. He stares at Lucas and Carrie dancing as he goes.
Sami says, "I did it to myself. I have lost Lucas for good. I will do whatever it takes to get Austin."
Lexie meets Abe. She tells him she was at Marlena's. Abe suggests she talk to John. Lexie thinks it would just upset John more. Abe's phone rings. He takes it as Lexie thinks, "You belong with Marlena, just as Carrie belongs with Austin. But because of my affair, so many lives will be destroyed, including mine and Abe's."
Alex whispers, "You will be ready for our wedding tomorrow and then I will take you away. There isn't a damn thing anyone can do to stop me."
John checks out his rifle, "Say goodbye to Marlena, Alex, it's time to die." FF on l'assasin.

I Got Him All Warmed Up For You
The Three B's – Bo, Billie and the Brat – come up to Bo's front door.
Billie says to Bo, "Hey if you want to go to the reception I can handle this."
"I wouldn't be welcome there," says Bo, "I missed Shawn's wedding and he would see that as me choosing Chelsea over him and our family again."
The brat wheels around, "Well I'm family. If you don't like that and want me out, I can make it happen."
Billie asks, "Was that a threat? Why are you acting like you are the one who was wronged here?"
The brat says, "Dad told me he knew I made an honest mistake by coming to the wedding."
Billie asks, "How many honest mistakes are you going to make? Your father and Shawn were speaking again, but because of you he didn't get to see Shawn get married."
"And because of me he won't get to see his other son get married," says the little snot.
Billie says, "You weren't invited. That's a pretty clear indication they didn't want you there."
"I sat there quietly in the back," says the brat, "I just wanted to take Shawn a present. He wouldn't have noticed me if Belle wouldn't have opened her big mouth. I just wanted to reach out to the family."
Shawn and Mimi dance. Belle stews. Austin and Lucas come in. They argue about Carrie.
Austin says, "I know she was going to choose me. I could just see her lips form the word 'Austin.'"
"Yeah," snorts Lucas, "To say 'Austin we're through.' This is just like with Nicole... You relocated her to LA to run the Highstyle division of your company. You blew it with her, too."
"She got stuck on some soap opera actor," says Austin, "Wants to get married and have a baby."
"I hope the guy isn't on Days Of Our Lives," says Lucas, "As bad as that show is, he's likely to be out of a job before long. Anyway, now you're stuck with Sami." He gives Austin a quick pat on the arm.
"You're welcome to her," says Austin.
Austin gets a call from Carrie. She asks him to come back to the hospital, "I have something to tell you that will affect us for all the Days Of Our Lives."
Sami overhears Carrie on the phone. She wants to know why Carrie is up and walking around. Carrie says seeing the parents with the baby who died upset her. She tells Sami Austin is on his way over.
"Really," says Sami, "Why?"
Austin tells Lucas Carrie wants to see him. "I'm sorry but you have to live with her decision, and don't ever touch me again."
Lucas says, "If that's what you really want, Ennis." The bartender offers Lucas a drink as Austin leaves.
Belle stares. Mickey and Maggie dance.
Bonnie slugs down a beer and says to no one in particular, "My little filly is finally nestled up with a Brady."
Kate assures Victor, "The secret won't come out. End of story."
"I hope you're right," says Victor.
Mimi tells Shawn this is the best day of her life. She's just soaking things in. Smooch.
Phillip offers a toast. The four of them have been friends for a long time. Their love and loyalty has gotten through it all, "May your life be full of love and laughter with friends, with us at the top of the list."
Belle runs out. Shawn offers to chase after her, "I think I am the only one who can talk to her."
"Excuse me," says Phillip, "You're not suggesting there is something going on between the two of you I don't know about are you?"
Bo tells Chelsea there is no reason for this to keep happening, "You can't keep doing things like this and expecting forgiveness."
"Nobody forgives me," yells the brat, "No matter what, I just manage to screw thing up. She runs out. Bo starts to go after her but Billie stops him and goes instead.
Phillip wants to know why Belle can only talk to Shawn. Shawn says Belle is upset because she stopped the wedding when Chelsea showed up. Mimi backs him up. Phillip relents. Shawn leaves.
"So tell me Meems," says Phillip, "what could be going on between the two of them I don't know about?"
"What," says Mimi, "Is Kirinac the Magnificent in a slump?"
Bonnie watches Belle run out, and then tells Kate, "Two embarrassing moments and the night is still young."
"I think Belle is upset because she couldn't stop the wedding," says Kate, "Don't worry. Shawn won't break his sacred marriage vows."
Bonnie chokes, "Oh, yeah, Like that's never happened before."
Kate leaves and reminds Victor not to tell.
Caroline overhears, "Not tell him what?"
"That there are more women in Salem with loud voices and good hearing than anywhere else in the world," says Victor.
Shawn tells Belle she can't keep doing this to herself. Blubberin' Belle bawls. She says she should have stopped the wedding and told everyone she loves Shawn.
Austin rushes up to Carrie and Sami at the hospital. Carrie asks to talk to him alone. Sami leaves. Carrie says she wants to, "talk about us."
Maggie comes up to the bar as Lucas orders a club soda. He tells Maggie Austin is at the hospital with Carrie.
"That can't make you too happy, can it," asks Maggie.
Kate tells Caroline they were talking about Austin and his business, "And Victor is absolutely adamant that Austin take nothing away from him." Caroline thinks there is room in the town for all three businesses. Kate agrees, "But Victor tends to be a bit more ruthless than John or me." She turns to Victor and waves a flower in his face, "You shouldn't cause trouble when it's not necessary."
Phillip confides in Mimi, "When Belle stood up I thought she was going to tell the whole church she still loved Shawn."
"You want my confession," asks Mimi, "I thought the same thing."
"I try every day not to worry about her feelings for him," says Phillip, "But we are married now." He holds the trophy-baby up, "And look at what we have together. I would love to believe Shawn wouldn't have married you if he still loves Belle."
"No," says Mimi, "He wouldn't."
Belle says, "You know I still love you and you still love me, too."
Shawn says, "Yes, I do."
The brat reads Teen Magazine. Billie knocks. The little snot covers up the magazine, grabs a hankie and turns on the tears. She lets Billie in. Billie tells her to knock off the act. The brat doesn't want to go to prison and she wants Bo on her side.
Billie accuses her of trying to drive a wedge between Bo and Hope by going to the wedding.
Bo curses his cell phone. No messages. He tries the PDA. Dead batteries. He tries the computer, "What the hell is this?"
Mickey suggests Bonnie go easy on the booze.
"The evening isn't getting any younger and neither am I," says Bonnie. She gets serious, "I really did love you."
"Thank you, Bonnie."
"Thank you," she repeats, "That's it?"
"I loved you in a different sort of way," says Mickey, "You made me feel young and alive again. You filled a void in my life."
"Until you declared me null and void," says Bonnie, "All's well that ends well." Smooch. They dance for old time's sake. Maggie watches.
Victor and Caroline dance. Victor needs to know the truth, "If you had to do it over again would you keep it a secret from me that Bo was my son?"
Phillip wouldn't have believed it in high school that he and Belle would wind up married, and the same for Shawn and Mimi.
Belle wants to know why Shawn went through with the wedding. "For the same reason you didn't stop it," says Shawn, "It would have been wrong. You are married to Phillip. You have a daughter. Mimi and I will adopt. You have to accept your future is with Phillip, and mine is with Mimi."
"I know," says Belle, "I love Phillip. I can count on him."
"Start giving it back to him," says Shawn, "Start being happy."
"Before we go in," says Belle, "one last dance, to say goodbye to the past?"
"Sure." They dance. He wipes away her tears.
If You're Not The One plays in the background.
Shawn tells Belle to be happy. Back atcha. Forehead kiss. Bye. Belle goes. Shawn stares and sighs.
Caroline tells Victor not to forget he went to Europe when Bo was born. She didn't approve of his business tactics. She didn't want her son growing up in his home, "Yes, I would do it over again – to protect Bo."
Bonnie says, "I like the look of that – Shawn and Belle just walked in separately."
Maggie asks for her husband back. "I got him all warmed up for you," says Bonnie.
Maggie tries to be civil, "I'm happy for your daughter."
Bonnie walks away, "It's hard to hold a grudge against them Horton's."
Kate tells Lucas it must be hard to be at a wedding with a happy bride and groom, "I know I messed up your wedding, but I also saved your life. Where is Austin?"
"Carrie wanted to talk to him," says Lucas, "I guess that's the man she wants to be with, and you are happy about that."
"For Austin," says Kate, "And I want to be happy for you too."
"Not friggin likely."
Mimi cuts the cake and smashes it in Shawn's face. Shawn smashes back. "That's my boy," yells OMB.
Belle watches and is ready to smash something else.
Sami orders champagne.
Kate comes up and says, "You must be happy for your sister. Why are you here? No one wanted you at your own wedding."
Sami takes the high road, "Go to hell!"
"I know why you are upset," says Kate, "Carrie chose Austin didn't she? Which leaves you all alone."
Austin is thrilled, "You want to talk about us. That means there is an us."
"It's not that simple," says Carrie.
Austin asks, "Do you love me?"
Carrie says, "With all my heart." Smooch.Billie tells the brat she knew exactly what would happen if she showed up at the wedding, "The fallout was exactly what you planned it to be."
"I'm not a psychic," says the snot.
"No," says Billie, "But you are a world class schemer. How long do you think it will take before your father gets fed up with your lies? Because of you Hope didn't see her son get married."
"It was Hope's decision to leave town," says the brat, "How would I know dad would miss the wedding just because I showed up? You don't believe me do you?"
"Honestly," says Billie, "I don't know."
"Then just get out of my room and leave me alone," says the little snot. She opens the door and Billie exits.
Billie goes out and asks what Bo is doing on Chelsea's computer.
He is reading her diary. Bo thinks Billie should read it.
Billie reads, "I know Hope and Shawn blame me for Zack's death. I'm not responsible the way they think. Is it so selfish for me not to want to go to jail? I just started getting close to my family, but now they all hate me. All I want is to be loved. To be a family. Like the one I thought I had, then lost."
"Wow," says Billie, "I knew she was hurting but I didn't know how much she felt it deep down. She's just protecting herself from getting hurt."
"We have to do what we can to help," says Bo.
Austin kisses Carrie. She pulls away, "This is happening too fast."
"Too fast," says Austin, "Lucas and I were feeling like two puppets on a string. I promise we will fix things the second time around. The important thing is we love each other and want to be together."
"You make it sound like that's all that matters," says Carrie.
"That's it," says Austin, "Do you feel up to going to the reception?" She agrees to go.
Lucas watches Kate and Sami talking. Kate says, ""My days of looking after my sons are finally over. And for once, I had nothing to do with it."
"Nothing to do with it," snaps Sami, "You... I loved Lucas. We could have had the perfect life together. I was totally honest with Lucas."
"Oh really," says Kate, "You didn't drug him to get him to bed with you?"
Sami says, "You want to talk about drugging people? You did a hell of a job with me and Brandon."
"I can't believe you bring that up," says Kate, "You couldn't let Brandon go."
"I CHOSE LUCAS," says Sami, "We would have had a perfect life together."
"At least my sons are free of you," Kate huffs off.
Phillip says, "If I may be so bold, what are your plans for the wedding night."
Shawn says, "Oh, nothing tonight. We're going back to the loft, so you and Belle can listen in, and will leave for the honeymoon tomorrow." Shawn thanks him for being his best man. Buds all the way. Hand butt. Guy hug.
Mimi tells Belle they're leaving in a couple of days but will go to the Horton cabin tomorrow morning. Belle knows Mimi will be a great wife and make Shawn happy. Mimi knows Belle will always have feelings for Shawn. Belle insists she will love him as a friend. Gal hug.
"We've made a big mistake, Kate. Now two marriages will be destroyed," says Victor.
Billie reads the diary, "Every page is filled with a desperate need to love and be loved."
"I wish we knew more about her childhood," says Bo.
The brat comes out and catches them. Bo claims they found the diary by accident. The brat runs over and pulls the plug. Bo apologizes for reading it, "But, I'm glad we did."
Victor insists the truth will come out. He asks, "What happens when Claire gets older and starts taking on Shawn's features – dark hair instead of blonde, eyes... nose... arrested brain
development ?"
Kate insists it won't come out, "What good would it do if it did?" Victor sighs.
Bonnie and Mickey pass out confetti. Bonnie pulls Mimi aside, "You caught the gold ring. Just remember how your mama helped."
"Yeah," says Mimi, "by having me lie."
Shawn comes and gets Mimi. They run through the shower of confetti.
Sami wanders. Lucas says he heard her talking to Kate, "You really meant that, didn't you?"
"Yeah," says Sami, "I know we aren't getting back together, though." She sees Carrie and Austin come in, "Dammit! Carrie chose Austin. It's over for us." Sami lifts her glass, "Here's to us, Lucas. Losers to the end." FF Sami.

Carrie says, "You don't know the half of it."
"I think I can help," says Sami, "You wanna be with Austin, so don't worry about me. When you said you didn't want anything to do with him what with everything that happened with Highstyle, you obviously didn't mean it. You don't need to honor a promise you made to me."
It's not that," says Carrie.
"Obviously you didn't mean it when you said you didn't want to be with him," says Sami, "You love Austin. You should tell him that."

Frankie takes Jennifer's hand as she remembers more of her wedding. Then she imagines marrying Frankie. She wonders if she is doing the right thing. Several Jacks sit in the audience. "It's just been a long day," says Lexie, "Lots of patients, this thing with Marlena, blackmail..." She asks him to keep an eye John and Alex.
Sami insists it's OK for Carrie to be with Austin. Carrie bawls and runs out as Lexie comes in. Sami tells Lexie she did a good job of convincing Carrie.
Lexie says, "I violated that oath... What's it called again? Oh, yeah, the Hippocratic oath." She tells Sami what she said to Carrie about the genetic marker. She thinks she has done a terrible thing.
Sami wants to know how that is worse than switching paternity results or cheating on Abe. She tells her to keep quiet so she won't lose Austin. Lexie says, "Carrie could still choose Austin even with all your lies and schemes."
Sami gets in her face, "I am not gonna let that happen."
Carrie watches a couple taking their new son home.
John growls, "Don't you threaten me, North."
"It's not a threat," says Alex, "It's a promise. You and Marlena are through."
"She eventually will remember," says John, "Then you will be out on your ass!" Alex remembers Marlena telling him she has her memory back.
Alex is cool, "Marlena chose me. You are just a bad memory to her – In fact, you're not even that."
John goes in to see Marlena. Abe and Alex follow.
John asks if Marlena remembers their life together. Marlena stares.
Frankie and Jennifer exchange glances. Back to the Frankifer wedding. They exchange vows. Frankie says, "I realize you will never love me like you loved Jack, but I promise to make your life happy and complete." Another glance and a smile.
Father Jansen asks Mimi if she takes Shawn. Mimi has memorized her vows, "I do." Father Jansen turns to Shawn and asks, "Do you Shawn take Mimi as your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, especially Belle, for all the Days of Your Lives?"
"I do."
Pan in on Belle as they exchange rings. Father Jansen says, "I now pronounce you man and wife. What God has joined together, let no self-centered, whiney ditz put asunder."
Father Jansen introduces Mr. And Mrs. Shawn Brady. Belle bawls.
Carrie watches the young couple and blubbers. Sami comes up to her and asks what's wrong.
EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! "Aaron Faulkner is in respiratory failure," yells Lexie.
Aaron's distraught parents tell Lexie, "You have to save him!"
Lexie says, "With his genetic syndrome you know his long term prognosis."
"His syndrome isn't as threatening as the fact that you are his doctor," says the father.
"I wonder if they knew," asks Sami, "I can't imagine..."
Fifteen seconds later Lexie comes out and tells the parents, "There is nothing more I can do. I've made sure he isn't in any pain. We will move him to a cubicle where you can have privacy."
Sami doesn't know what to say. Carrie runs out. "Those poor parents," says Sami, "I do believer God has a plan. Maybe it's the same as mine. I mean, not even one of the ten commandments mentions blackmail. She goes into the hall and then sneaks into the records room. Sami computes. Lexie comes in and wonders what she is doing. She looks at the computer screen, "OMG! Don't you ever stop?"
John asks Marlena, "You're remembering aren't you."
Marlena says, "I have no memory of you whatsoever." Lame, lame, lame. "Alex is my husband. He is the one who loves me."
Alex remembers sedating her, "This will either erase your memory or kill you. At this point, either is fine by me."
"Why did you want to see me," asks John
"I don't know," says Marlena, "Unless it was to ask you to leave Alex and me alone."
"That's OK by me," says Alex, "Once we leave on our honeymoon and get away from John, Marlena will probably show a dramatic improvement." Marlena agrees.
Belle suggests taking Claire home, "If she doesn’t get a nap, she'll be fussy all night." Phillip tells her to stay and try to have a little fun. He leaves to get a bottle – I hope he gets one for Claire, too. Caroline comes up and says she was afraid of what Belle was going to announce.
Belle says she remembered what Kate said and kept her mouth shut.
Victor accuses Kate of manipulating Belle, "This is not right, Kate. Shawn has a right to know."
"Give it a rest," snaps Kate, "If you felt that way you would have told Phillip and Shawn the truth. This would destroy Phillip. The only choice is to make sure that Phillip never finds out Claire is Shawn's daughter."
Maggie introduces the couple. They dance. Mimi can't believe they are married. Shawn sweeps her off her feet and kisses her as Belle seethes. Caroline breaks it up and asks, "What do you think this is, a wedding?" She has set up a conference call to Kayla and Kimberly so they can dispense with the fact they aren't there.
Mimi tells Bonnie to relax and have a good time.
"Where is Mickey," asks Shawn.
"He's at the hospital," says Maggie, "General Hospital."
Shawn goes in to take the conference call. Mimi will follow later.
Bonnie toasts Mimi for marrying a Brady and a Horton. Mimi still feels guilty. Bonnie shushes her, "What's one little lie compared to a lifetime of loving your man?"
Shawn goes up to Belle and thanks her for bringing Claire, "It's almost like having Zack here."
"Well," says Belle, "His liver made it, anyway."
"I just wish he could have seen the ceremony," says Shawn.
"Abe was busy," says Belle.
Shawn hopes he and Mimi are as happy a Phillip and Belle. Phillip comes up and seconds that.
Mimi is ready to toss the bouquet. They encourage Kate and Jennifer to join in. Mimi throws a perfect strike to Jennifer. Jennifer stares at Frankie.
John grumbles, "No way you're marrying her tomorrow, North."
"You don't have a vote. John," says Marlena.
John turns to her, "You're not in your right mind."
"How dare you," yells Marlena, "Alex, I am so glad we're renewing our vows tomorrow."
Alex can't wait. John can't wait to tear Alex apart. He tells Marlena, "He said he was gonna take you away and kill you."
"I trust him," she says, "I don't trust you. If he wanted to hurt me, he would have done it before this."
"He didn't do it because I stopped him. That's why he wants to take you away," says John.
Lexie talks to the parents about organ donation. She comes over and tells Carrie she is sorry she had to see that.
Carrie bawls, "How could I even think of bringing a child into the world with Austin? It's not like I don't have feelings for Lucas, too."
"Give it some time," says Lexie, "Don't decide in haste." She excuses herself and goes over to Sami, "You're going to hell for this."
"Probably," says Sami, "But I'll have some time in heaven with Austin first."
Carrie looks at a picture of herself and Austin, "How can I give you up?"
Jennifer shows Frankie the bouquet, "So do you think this could be a sign from Jack?"
Frankie says, "It's better than that cardboard star Belle thought was a sign from God."
Belle rambles. She knows she did the right thing.
Victor says, "Secrets and lies have a way of coming out, Kate."
Kate says, "Mimi and Shawn will live happily ever after. End of story."
Shawn and Mimi dance. He asks if she is OK.
"I am so beyond OK," says Mimi, "I promise I will be a good wife." Kiss.
Phillip breaks it up, "As best man I have one final duty – a toast. I thought I would make it a 'best family' toast with my wife and daughter here. Shawn and Mimi are also Claire's godparents, so we wish them a life of happiness, joy, laughter and lies. May you share that with all your friends, with us at the top of the list."
Belle tosses Claire to Phillip and runs out.
Abe takes John out of the room, "You have to get control of yourself."
"He's gonna take her off and kill her," says John.
Abe says, "You have no proof."
John asks, "Would you wait for proof if it was Lexie?"
Alex tells Marlena he can deal with anything with her by his side.
John threatens, "Alex' wedding day will also be his funeral."
Lexie tells Sami she is making a mockery of the suffering of those poor parents.
Sami reminds Lexie to keep her mouth shut.
Sami leaves. Lexie vows, "You're not gonna get away with this."
Carrie phones Austin. She needs to talk to him. "We can't do it over the phone. It could affect us all the Days Of Our Lives."
Sami listens, "What does that mean?"
Lexie comes up to her and says, "It means your plan backfired. You will lose Austin after all." FF Scheming, steaming Sami.

Just Like A Reality Show, Without The Reality
Frankie stands outside Jennifer's bedroom door and asks what's wrong.
Jennifer says, "Just go away. You shouldn't have anything to do with me."
He comes inside, "Why?"
"You shouldn't be in here," she says.
"I heard you crying," says Frankie, "Did you expect me to ignore you? What upset you like this?"
"I looked inside the closet and... It's a mess," she wails.
Lexie asks, "You want me to convince Carrie that she shouldn't be with Austin?"
"I'm glad we understand each other," says Sami.
"You are blackmailing me," says Lexie.
"And you are cheating on Abe," says Sami, "So you can get off your high horse. Do this or you can say goodbye to your marriage."
Lexie says, "Sami, there is just no way."
Austin presses Carrie, "I love you but you're killing me."
"Please tell us," begs Chump #2.
Roman asks why John didn't tell him about Marlena's accident.
"Because it wasn't an accident," growls john, "She's fine physically. He's going to kill her just like he killed Lois. I'm glad you're back in town."
Marlena tells Alex she remembers everything he did to her, "John was right about you." Alex is sorry to hear that.
Billie stands outside the church and stares. She remembers the brat saying she will do whatever it takes to keep their family together. Billie thinks, "I care about Shawn, but Hope is Bo's wife. She should be with him at the wedding."
Belle stops the wedding. Victor wonders if Belle has found out about Shawn being Claire's father.
Mimi turns to Belle, "I guess you just want to humiliate me."
Shawn says, "I know why Belle stopped the ceremony." Who does he think he is, Phillip?
Roman asks if John is sure. John is sure. Roman plays devil's advocate, "Alex stole Marlena from you, are you absolutely sure this isn't a personal vendetta?"
John is shocked, "What, John 'Personal Vendetta' Black have a personal vendetta? "
"Your jealousy won't let you accept this," says Roman.
John sucks air and spins like a ballerina.
Marlena says Alex manipulated and lied to her. Alex says they are still married. He grabs her hand.
"Not for long," says Marlena, "You're hurting me!"
Shawn smiles and thanks Belle. She says, "I knew you wouldn't want to go on."
Shawn turns to Chelsea, who is sitting in the back row, "Why would you come here? Zack is gone and my parents are split up because of you."
"I'm your sister," whines the brat, "I wanted to reach out to you."
"It's too late," says Shawn.
Billie comes in and asks what the brat is doing there.
Jennifer says she saw the storage box with her wedding dress in it. It made her think of her wedding day... her second wedding day. Abby was there. Now she doesn't have a dad, "I am enjoying myself when I should be mourning my husband."
"You and Jack loved each other very much," says Frankie, "But you have every right to move on with your life." Jennifer stares.
Carrie cares about both of them. She starts to blurt out her chump choice but Lexie interrupts. She has to tell Lexie about her discharge routine. She wheels her off as the chumps chirp.
Sami came in with Lexie. She asks, "Who won the Carrie Lottery?"
"How do you know that's what we were talking about," asks Lucas.
John says, "I've seen the man in action. He's a killer."
"I'm trying to be the voice for reason," says Roman, "Somebody's gotta be. Giving Lois that truth serum wasn't exactly the smartest damn thing you ever did."
Marlena tells Alex she is going to divorce him. Alex won't allow it. "You must recall the price I made you pay whenever you disobeyed me."
Marlena remembers S&M moments.
"I see you do remember," says Alex, "That's good. So we shouldn't have any further problems then."
"I thought Lois was insane," says Marlena, "But you made her that way. You killed her didn't you?"
"Yes. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! "
Marlena goes for the call button. Alex holds it up and says, "Looking for something? I see you are frightened. That's good. If you try to scream it will be the last sound you ever make."
The brat whines, "I brought a gift and didn't think you would see me sitting back there. I'm sorry."
"It was a mistake coming here," says Shawn. He turns to Bo, "Can you tell her to leave?"
"No," says Bo, "I can't throw her out, but I'll take her out."
Shawn says, "You can't hurt her, but you can hurt me by not staying here. No wonder Mom left you."
He goes back to the altar and apologizes.
Mimi gives a nervous laugh and says, "I thought Belle didn't want me to marry Shawn."
"Well," says Belle, "Since the wedding is stopped, maybe I should tell you all what I really want."
Jennifer caresses the box. Going to the wedding today hits home for her. She doesn't expect Frankie to understand. He's not married, "There is a closeness when you are married... it's hard to say. It's just these incredible memories of me and Jack. Don't tell me I need to move on without him."
"That's not what Jack wanted," says Frankie, "He wants you to be happy. Not just as a mother but as a woman."
"Don't say that," says Jennifer, "The time we've spent together hugging and kissing is a betrayal of everything Jack and I had together."
Frankie says, "I should go back to DC."
Jennifer goes bipolar, "I don't want that. I don't know what I want. I am starting to feel things."
Frankie says, "I'm not just starting. My feelings for you have not changed at all."
Lexie asks Carrie, "Are you clear on everything. No heavy lifting. Take a pain pill before going to sleep. If you have any of them left over, see John Black."
Carrie tells Lexie she made her choice, "You said I couldn't drag it out any longer and you were right. But I've kept dragging it out anyway."
Lucas and Austin accuse Sami of eavesdropping. Sami says Lexie told her. She can't believe the way Carrie is stringing them along.
Lucas says she's not doing that, "She's going to come back and tell us."
"Just like a reality show," says Sami, "Only without the reality or the entertainment value. I can't believe you both let her jerk you along like this. But, since it is a contest, I know who I am rooting for."
The chumps want to know, "Who's that?" Sami stares.
Father Jansen says he imagines Belle was going to say they need a respite. He calls a recess. Belle wanders. Kate catches up with her and says she didn't have to say anything about the brat, "She was sitting in the back and not disturbing anyone." She turns up the guilt burners. She is grateful Claire will have a loving family. Bonnie brings Claire for emphasis. Shawn stares at Claire.
Bo lectures the brat. Billie piles on, "You're being too nice Bo." She turns to the brat, "You knew how everyone would react. I think you can't stand not to have everyone's attention focused on you. Especially your father's."
"I get it," says the brat, "You both hate me. You'd be happier without me."
"Yep," they say in unison.
"It might just happen," says the little snot.
Marlena tells Alex she knows he would never hurt her. She realizes those so-called memories weren't real. She strokes his hand, "John filled my head with notions about you. I realize those weren't true. I have to apologize. I'm so sorry. I should never have believed a bit of it for a second."
Nice try. Alex says, "You are not the only psychiatrist in the room, Doc. Did you actually think I would fall for any of that? You remember the truth about your past with me. Now, I'm afraid you're going to have to die." He puts his hand over her mouth. Marlena struggles.
Jennifer thinks she is just making things worse. She shouldn't have told him how she feels, "It's probably driving you completely crazy."
"Yeah, but the audience is way past crazy by now," says Frankie, "What I meant when I said my feelings hadn't grown, it was because they couldn't grow. When I fell for you in high school that was real. That hasn't changed. It's true, I haven't been married, but when we were 17 I knew I wanted us to spend all the Days Of Our Lives together. And I still do. You considered me your friend. I was lucky to have that. What I need to know is do you have room in your heart for me?"
Sami says she hopes Carrie chooses Austin. Lucas doesn't buy it, because there is no hope for him and her.
Sami asks, "You think the only choice I have on the planet is you and Austin? I have plenty of time. Carrie is worried about her biological clock. You can't accept the fact Carrie and Austin love each other. Mike fell of his white horse and she realized the man she really loves is Austin. Congrats Austin."
"That's such a load of crap," says Lucas, "you say you have the world to choose from, but you barely leave your apartment if you don't have to, except for your little excursions into war zones."
Lexie remembers what Sami said. She asks if Carrie has told the guys yet. "No," says Carrie, "Hell hasn't frozen over yet." Lexie says Carrie would make a mistake choosing Austin.
Jennifer wishes there was some kind of timetable for when she will be ready. She doesn't know if she ever will be. It's a possibility, though. She wants love in her life. She wants him to stay, but can't promise anything. Run, Frankie.
Frankie tells her to take as much time as she needs. He makes a quick phone call to Lucas and Austin to see if he can get a charter membership in their Chump Corps. The box goes back in the closet. Everything will be OK.
Austin tells Lucas he's being too hard on Sami. Sami is grateful he believes in her. Lucas thinks Sami is plotting something.
Lexie is grim, "It's unrelated to your cyst. Please have a seat. I did some genetic testing. You and Austin share a genetic marker that could be problematic. If you have a child together there is a probability it could have a life-threatening genetic syndrome. To put it bluntly, with your combined IQs, your kid could be the dumbest human being to ever walk the face of the earth."
Carrie asks, "When did you test Austin?"
"He was tested when he was engaged to marry Sami," says Lexie, "I pulled his file knowing the decision you would make."
"Austin and Lucas are brothers," says Carrie.
"It's very complicated," says Lexie, "I know this isn't what you want to hear. Certainly this might factor into your decision. From a medical point of view, Austin is the last man you should conceive a child with."
John suggests Roman should get over to Shawn's wedding. He will go if John promises to call if there is trouble. Alex sneaks behind them and hides. Roman leaves and goes past the note on the floor.
A nurse comes in and asks if John got the message from Marlena. John says he didn't. The nurse tells John Marlena wants to see him
John goes in. Marlena hangs off the bed like a slaughtered pig on a hook. John yells, "DOC!"
The brat insists she isn't part of the family. Bo says they love her, "But we need your help. This was an honest mistake, but let's figure out a proper time and place before you hook up with Shawn again."
Hugs. "Thanks dad," says the little snot, "You always know how to talk to me." Bo goes for the car.
Billie applauds, "Bravo."
The brat says, "Would you knock it off?"
"That was quite a little show, hotshot," says Billie, "Can I think of a reason you would want to upset Shawn? You want to cut your father off from the people he loves most."
"Whatever it takes to keep me out of jail," says the brat, "I don't care who has to suffer."
Shawn tells Mimi they would be Mr. and Mrs. Brady by now if the wedding hadn't been stopped, "Do you still want to marry me?"
"Yes."
"Well then, on with it," he calls the crowd together. Belle comes up with Claire. Shawn is glad they had the delay because Claire can take part in the ceremony. Losing Zack was tough, but he learned not to take anything for granted, "Making our children happy is our biggest responsibility."
Father Jansen takes his place. Like a broken record, he says, "If anyone here has reason to believe this couple should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace."
Belle chokes the words back as she looks at Claire. FF.
