Rough Sex, Rough Week
Let's recap Brady Black's busy week:
1. Brady loves Arianna more than life itself and vows to keep himself clean and sober for all the days of his life.
2. Brady breaks up with Arianna.
3. On the way home from breaking up with Arianna, Brady stops by Nicole's place for a quick pop, and I don't mean a soda.4. Brady loves Nicole more than life itself and vows to keep himself clean and sober for all the days of his life.
5. Brady sees Nicole's whopping bank balance and snaps.
6. Frothing, raving Brady has rough sex with Nicole. That'll teach her a lesson. Nicole wants more, Brady wants answers.
7. Domineering Brady hauls the former love of his life Nicole in to talk to the cops about her big assets. Meaning her bank balance.
8. Brady sucker-punches Baker.
9. Crazed Brady hates Nicole and gets abusive — but he only slaps her around a little bit to show her who's in charge. No blood, no foul.
10. Brady breaks up with Nicole.
11. Dejected Brady heads for the pub, falls off the wagon and gets plastered. So, either 'clean and sober' isn't all it's cracked up to be or 'all the days of his life' was only an estimate.12. Arianna tries to get Brady to stop drinking, but he sends her off to the police station to officially clear her name, and asks her to sucker punch Baker for him when she gets there.
13. Brady suddenly realizes he is incapable of maintaining a long-term relationship, has been betrayed by Nicole, has fallen off the wagon and is now the town sucker-puncher, "OMG! I've become Lucas Horton!"
I hope you make your weekend better than the past few days Brady has had — Except maybe for the rough sex part. That might be fun, but try to keep things under control.

Great recap, Prevuze! As always, you rock.
I know we DOOL watchers (well, followers since many of us read Prevuze rather than actually WATCH the show anymore) often carp about the glacial advance of some storylines.
We gripe about plots that never end. We cry out for faster paced action.
But REALlY! The writers whipped Brady's character through this recent plot twist so fast it actually turned him inside out.
With no build-up what-so-ever (in one scene he's wondering what Nicole is up to this time - in the next he shows up at her door pledging eternal love) he's decided Nicole is THE ONE.
After one night of passion and a couple of hours alone in her room, answering her phone and rummaging around in her desk drawer, he freaks over what he finds.
Never mind that he was (say it with me) there for her throughout the baby switch activities. Even after he found out about the baby switching he was disappointed in her, but gave her moral support. All of that was far worse in my mind than finding a stray, unexplained $5 million in her bank account. His freaking out was just so over the top.
Not to mention having Brady taking out his angst on Nicole in bed and THEN confronting her about the money.
Whew! Got that off my chest. Maybe the writers have something else in mind other than just trashing Brady's character. Perhaps they are setting up for a more interesting storyline than just having him fall off the wagon so Maggie, et al, can get in his business.
Maybe it will turn out he has a brain tumor that's affecting his actions?
Maybe it's Brady's turn to have a multiple personality?
Perhaps it's time to reveal Isabella & John actually had twins and this is the evil twin who has traded places and is holding the real Brady Brady on a secret island - Sikairik?
Perhaps I should cut down on the caffeine and log off.
Have a great weekend my fellow Prevuzites!
Applecheeks, your ploto ideas sound a lot more interesting than what the monkeys (aka writers) will actually come up with. (Apolgoies to monkeys everywhere.)
This "whiplash" experience I'm having with all the characters and storylines is not pleasant. Perhaps I need a visit from an angry Brady to calm me down. hahaha
The bad week won't be over at all since now Nicole will find out she's pregnant!
Brady & Nicole was totally over the top! Way to go ruining Brady writers!
Snicker: Brady Black the new Lucas Horton will be there for Sami... once she sorts things out between Rafe & EJ.
Do you suppose Eric Martsolf who plays Brady offers the writers any constructive criticism? Seem to recall some of the DOOL characters saying that over the years they offer suggestions or dialogue changes when something like the Brady. Of course, that may have been during the Golden Age of Days when men were men and writers were writers.
Anyhoo, it would be great if all the posters here, along with the Great & Powerful Prevuze Scribe could watch an episode together. Kind of like the old Mystery Science Theater. Throwing out alternate dialog and/or rotten tomatoes!
Applecheeks - you beat me to what I was going to suggest - he'll end up wih a brain tumor. Have we been watching soaps too long? (PS: Sikairik - Kiriakis backwards. Very good - it also sounds like a good Vulcan name.
I haven't seen Friday's yet. But thanks to Prevuze I'm braced for the action (?) ahead! And thank you, Prevuze, for reminding me even tho it's about 120 degrees here we're still not having a bad a time as Brady.
The summer ratings are in the tank. It could be the fallout from the Corday interview, Bope fans really disgusted with the way their couple has been treated, and/or dislike of any number of the goofy scenarios that have been shoved at the viewers. In any event, the progression of the storylines has been accelerated. What we were supposed to get in November is coming down in September. Apparently, someone finally figured out if you tease people long enough they will stop watching. Just get out your collars and expect some whiplash.
Personally, I think Brady Brady Black is the most consistent character on Daze. He has non-stop sex with ex-felons and oscillates between lecturing people, while showing disgust and claiming he'll be there for them no matter what. What was so out of character?
Only one complaint from me, why does Nicole always get thrown around like a rag doll? I friggin hate that.
