Ne'er-do-wells

Jack prepares a romantic dinner at the Horton cabin. Jennifer comes out in her nightgown. He tells her he can't believe he's not dreaming. Jennifer knows Jack is anxious to see the kids but she thought this would be the perfect night for them. He tells her he loves her. They kiss.

Chelsea clears the room of smoke from her cigarette. Her mom calls up and tells her it's bedtime. Chelsea shouts they are still studying, "Just a few more minutes, Mom." She closes the door and tells Abby, "This is the night. Patrick Lockhart, here I come."

Patrick is at the Cheatin' Heart. The bartender notes that he is alone tonight, "That was one wild woman you brought in here last time." The bartender tells him sleazy ole Eddie Diamond is in the back room. Eddie's a loan shark, and is looking to get a poker game going.

"Maybe I can relieve him of some of his cash," says Patrick.

Hope joins Billie and Bo at the clinic. Billie accuses her of not wanting the DNA to match.

John reaches for the drugs, "I can't take 'em," he says as he reels off a list of family members who depend on him. Kate screams in the other room.

"Please, God, no, not Phillip," screams Kate, "This is not true Belle, who told you this?" Belle tells her about the phone call from Sgt. Bilbo. "This is your fault," Kate tells Shawn, "You were seeing each other behind Phillip's back. Both of you are responsible."

Hope says she just doesn't want either Billie or Bo to have their hears broken. She tells Billie she follows every blind lead that comes down the pike. Billie says if she has to follow 100 blind leads she will. The nurse tells them they are ready to take the DNA sample. My question is, didn't the girl in Europe give them a hair sample to be tested? Didn't they do that and already have their DNA tested? Oh, heck, it's Salem. Logic was tossed out of town long ago. Lexi tells Hope she hopes she is prepared for the possibility that the hair sample could be Georgia's. "It's a DiMera plot," says Hope, "Oh, I'm sorry I forgot." Lexi tells Hope it's OK. She also tells her Abe is losing his eyesight, "You know, Hope, Billie deserves to have her loved one back too."

"As long as it's her daughter and not my husband," says Hope.

Kate tells Belle she is a disappointment, "This is exactly what Phillip was afraid of. But you will pay for this. Shawn, when your trial comes up I will be on the witness stand and I will tell people how you broke my son's marriage up while he was fighting for his country. I will make sure you are never with Belle. NEVER."

Jack and Jennifer sit by the fire. Jack is so happy to be there. Jennifer is sure Gram has the ISA on Tony's trail as they speak. Gorging themselves on donuts as they go. Jennifer just wants to shut out the rest of the world. "Tonight it's just you and me and tomorrow Baby Jack and the family," says Jack. They talk about the hard time Abby has been having. Her grades are slipping, she's snippy, she's angry, she's becoming a true woman of Salem. Jennifer thinks Chelsea is a great influence on Abby, though.

Abby thinks Chelsea should give up on Patrick. Chelsea shows her magazine articles on how to get a man. Chelsea has makeup and clothes to make her look older. She calls the bar and asks if Patrick is there. Yes he is. She says she'll stop by later and surprise him. She shows Abby a tiny little nightie she's taking in case Patrick invites her to spend the night. Chelsea isn't going to let Jennifer get to Patrick before she does. Abby assures her Jennifer isn't interested in Patrick. The girls sneak out.

Patrick joins the ne'er-do-wells. They check him out, frisk him. "Eddie's the name," says Mr. Tough guy. They toast a "beneficial association." Patrick notices, "You didn't say mutually beneficial, which is just the way I want it." They fire up a game of Texas Hold 'Em.

Jennifer lights the candles on the dinner table. She tells Jack she met Chelsea's family and they are nice. Jack is looking forward to doing normal things. He'd better get out of Salem, then. They toast themselves. "Abby refused to believe you were dead Jack. Why couldn't I have faced that fact?"

"My big fear was that I would get back too late. That you would have moved on," says Jack.

Jennifer reassures him, "You are the only man I would ever love. It never occurred to me to look at another man."

"I'm never going to be separated from you again," says Jack. Famous last words.

Jennifer asks him to make love to her.

The technician takes the samples. "Even if our DNA is a match doesn't prove Georgia is alive," says Bo.

Billie tells him, "You're starting to sound just like Hope."

"I want Georgia to be alive, Billie."

"I think you're worried what will happen if we find her. Hope thinks it will affect your marriage. I'm starting to think she is right." I'm thinking it already has affected their marriage.

John comes down and asks what's going on. "I think you should let Belle answer that," says Kate.

Jack and Jennifer bask in the afterglow as the fire flickers. Jack is looking forward to getting back to living with his family. He never wants to be separated from them again. "Wouldn't it be great if John and Marlena and Kate and Roman would be reunited," asks Jennifer. Jennifer is worried about how finding Georgia would affect Hope. She tells Jack about Billie's' wild drunken night at the Cheatin' Heart.

"More proof Lockhart is no damn good." Says Jack.

Patrick wins a hand. "You won't mind if we raise the stakes," asks Eddie.

Chelsea comes up dressed to kill. Or something else. Abby tells her she loks slutty. Chelsea goes into the bar alone.

Eddie doubles the stakes. Chelsea comes into the room and pretends to use the phone. One of the guys wants to change the deck of cards. Patrick checks it out and says the new deck is marked. The guys check out Chelsea. They would like to get them soma that. Yeah, they could all have them soma that and then share the same cellblock later. Patrick doesn't notice her, though. Abby watches, "What is she doing now?"

Lexi asks if it is possible Billie has changed. Hope says no. Lexi tries to convince her Billie may have changed, "Can't you give her the benefit of the doubt?"

"I'd like to hear the answer to that," says Bo.

John the Junkie takes control. He will do anything he can to get Phillip back. He'll use the ISA. He promises they will find Phillip and the two of them will never be separated again, "I think its time Belle tells you the truth," says Kate.

Belle tells John she wanted to live up to his high standards, but couldn't. Drugs didn't appeal to her. She should have listened to him but she is still in love with Shawn. John and Shawn stare at each other.

Hope says, "I would love to be wrong about Billie but I think she has an agenda."

"I have no agenda," says Billie. Lexi leaves.

"Please let this be a match," says Billie.

Chelsea shows Abby her secret weapon. It's a "mood enhancer" she found in her mother's medicine cabinet. "Chelsea you can't," says Abby as Chelsea heads back in.

Patrick is winning. Eddie doubles the stakes again. Patrick thinks things are getting a little rich for his blood. He leaves and orders another beer, then heads for the restroom. Chelsea goes up and pours the concoction into Patrick's beer. Patrick comes out and pays for the beer. He guzzles back in the smoke filled poker room.

The girls watch.

Eddie wins. Patrick is tapped out. "Don't worry," says Eddie, "I have your marker. And if you can't pay me, you can work it off." They break it up but Patrick wants a chance to get his money back. Later. He comes out and sits at the bar. He's pretty woozy.

Abby watches as Chelsea comes up to Patrick. He looks at her and sees Jennifer. She asks him to dance. He sees Jennifer as they dance. Chelsea dirty dances. Patrick hallucinates.

Jack and Jennifer roast marshmallows by the fire. Jennifer thanks him for coming to the cabin and giving her this special night. Jack says, "Tomorrow I will be with Abby and the baby and hopefully Tony will be in custody and the hostages will be released." They toast happy endings for all the people in Salem. They're hallucinating worse than Patrick. "And to us," says Jack, "and our family. May this be the beginning of the Devereaux' happily ever after."

Lexi asks if Hope will be OK. "Yeah, thanks for asking. I'm going outside to get a little air." Lexi says she will see her later.

Billie prays, "Please let us find our daughter."

Hope prays, "I want Georgia to be alive, but when that day comes, let me still have my husband and family."

John asks Belle, "You and Shawn?"

"I love him, Dad. I never really stopped. It was all my fault."

"No," says Shawn, "We both messed up. I'm sorry but I love your daughter more than anything."

John says, "I asked you time and time again if you were over Shawn."

"I thought I was but I was wrong. I'm so ashamed."

"I know you're hurting. I just wish you would have come to grips with your feelings before you walked down that aisle." And he wishes Shawn would have come to grips with his feelings before he flew threw the window.

Belle runs out crying. Shawn follows.

He tells her it's going to be OK. "NO," says Belle, "Don't you understand Phillip could be going through hell right now? Kate's right. We can't be together."

FF on Shawn, with a bewildered blank stare like he's some clueless toker who just got picked up for possession of drug paraphernalia in a Midwestern airport.

In the Cheatin' Heart, Bo asks Hope, "Why are you taking sides with Patrick?" Hope says through gritted teeth, "Why shouldn't I? You are always taking Billie's side, aren't you?" Billie stares.

"Belle won't break her wedding vows and you'll make sure of that won't you Meems? Unless you want me to tell Rex the truth," says Jan.

Belle tells Shawn, "Please leave, and don't come back."
