Applying For The Position Of Knight In Shining Armor

Rafe announces he has quit his job and so now Sami can tell him anything. "OK," says Sami,"I'm going to cook dinner."

"NO," screams Rafe, "NOT THAT!"

Sami can't believe he quit his job and now they are without any income. Rafe says he did it for her and says now they can protect Will together. Sami blurts it out, "I am the one who shot EJ. I'm not covering for my son. He's covering for me."

Maggie answers the door to find Victor. "I'm applying for the position of knight in shining armor," says Victor. He offers to take her to the wedding. Maggie declines.

Brady finds Nicole at the wedding. He's wearing a tie the same color as her dress which means they are going steady now.

Chloe freaks and says she has to talk Melanie out of blabbing. Phillip says her mind is made up. Small minds can handle small decisions.

Melanie rushes into the Kiriakis den and tells Daniel he can't marry Chloe. Daniel says he understands. Of course, this is a crock of... but he tells her, "I know."

Nicole says she doesn't know what's going on with Chloe. She asks about Vivian's situation, but Brady says all is under control.

Back in the sarcophagus, Vivian whines for Gus. Gus listens as Vivian rambles on. He says he can't help her. Vivian begs.

Sami says, "So now you know. I tried to murder EJ. What are you gonna do about it?" If I know Rafe, he'll decide this calls for a romp. Yep. Big sloppy kiss. He says he loves her.

Nicole realizes she and Brady are "living together." She says that makes her happy, but Brady tells her not to get too happy too quickly. Arianna walks up as they munch around on each other.

Phillip says he's certain Melanie won't change her mind. Chloe decides things are over with Daniel, "I lost him on our wedding day."

"No, actually you lost him when you got down and dirty with me," says Phillip. Chloe asks to be alone. Phillip leaves. Unfortunately, Chloe is alone with... Chloe. Carly shows up.

Melanie asks, "So you know?" Daniel says he went to the apartment and he knows the whole story. He says Chloe is sorry and he knows it was just a mistake. Melanie thinks Daniel is under-reacting. The writers think we are buying this conversation, too.

Victor reminds Maggie she stayed in town because of him. Maggie clarifies but says he was only part of it. But she also reminds him he's married and she's still grieving for the Mickster, "I feel disloyal to Mickey and I could only do that if he were around." Victor still offers to give her a lift to the wedding. Maggie agrees.

Chloe apologizes for not warning Chloe, "I never meant to bring you down with me. I blew it." Carly hugs and comforts her. Chloe decides she should have told Daniel in the first place. She tells Carly about the lies Nicole told Daniel.

Daniel says he knows Chloe hurt Melanie, but also knows Chloe wants them to be close. Melanie asks what Chloe said. Daniel says it was Nicole who explained how Melanie overheard them. Melanie breaks down as Daniel babbles on about what Nicole said, "What you heard... could you have taken it out of context?" Melanie says no. Daniel consults the Guy Manual which advises, "Just be sensitive even if you don't understand what she's talking about. Act sensitive at all costs."

Brady tells Arianna Nicole doesn't judge him and then remembers he forgot the rings and leaves. Arianna wonders what Nicole has done to Brady. Nicole tells her and Arianna blushes.

Rafe thinks Sami is just covering for Will. Sami says she can prove she shot EJ. She hands him her cell phone, "Take a look."

Nicole and Arianna argue about Brady. Nicole gets snotty. "Go to hell," says Arianna.

"If I do," says Nicole, "Brady will be right there with me."

Vivian continues to beg.

Brady searches Vivian's room for the ring and then checks in on her.

Chloe thinks everything will come crashing down. Maybe it won't if she adjusts her bra.

Melanie and Daniel keep talking around each other. Daniel begs her to be at the wedding. Melanie worries about the baby. Don't worry, the baby will be there, too. She insists Chloe doesn't deserve Daniel and wonders how he can love her. Daniel plays the "Rebecca card." He says he was lost after losing her and then he met Chloe, "Then I felt things I hadn't felt in a long time. Both of them. And then I got you in my life. Nothing but you and Chloe matters." Melanie says she loves him so much that she can't go to the wedding, and he deserves to know why.

Sami shows Rafe Kate’s text and tells him what Kate said when she called. She says she decided to go to the DiMera mansion and confront EJ and then we flashback to the shooting, "So what now?"

Arianna says Brady will snap out of his infatuation with Nicole. Arianna leaves as Maggie rushes up and calls her. Nicole says she isn't staying for the wedding. Maggie goes off to call Lexie. Nicole finds Phillip and asks if there is going to be a wedding or if Melanie is going to ruin it.

Henderson runs in and interrupts Melanie and Daniel. He's burned himself. Daniel takes over, tells Melanie they will talk later and sends her to the park. Melanie decides she'll have to do this publicly. Just like she does some things with Phillip on the Internet.

Brady hears Vivian babbling and asks whom she is talking to. Vivian says she was talking to herself. She says she's had an epiphany and has realized she's not healthy. She says she's an angry person who lashes out. Brady tells her nobody cares and shuts her off. Vivian asks if Gus heard that. She begs him to help.

Chloe arrives and tells Phillip she hasn't heard from Daniel. Carly goes to talk to Victor and Phillip follows. Chloe tells Nicole she can only pray Melanie has had a change of heart.

Maybe Brady and Chloe should hook up again. They'd be the wino and the whino.

Melanie decides she has to tell, "I've gotta stop this wedding. Brady walks in and Melanie hears him on the phone with Nicole. He tells Melanie that he and Nicole are back together.

"Why?"

"I'm a boy... she's a girl..."

"Well I certainly didn't think you were adults." She says bad things are happening but Brady tells her to get over it. Do they realize if everyone on DOOL got over things like that there would be no DOOL?

Daniel finishes with Henderson and tries to call Melanie. He doesn't get her, (as nobody does), so he calls Nicole and says to tell Chloe he'll be right there.

Rafe reassures Sami as Will shows up. Rafe leaves Will in charge since he's the adult and leaves for the office. Sami tells "Will, something wonderful has happened."

Will and Sami are at the pier. Sami says she told Rafe the whole truth and Rafe now knows she plugged EJ, "Rafe is gonna stand by me and protect me, when I go to prison."

Arianna is at Rafe's door, "I need you, where are you?"

Melanie says she prefers Brady with Arianna. He tells her to get to the wedding, but Melanie says she can't go because of the problem she's having with her dad. She leaves.

Daniel arrives and asks about Melanie. No one has heard from her, but they all decide it's too early to start the party. Chloe and Daniel's eyes meet, and then Daniel decides he has to find Melanie. Chloe rushes things and says she's even moved the plane reservatoins up. Daniel don' wanna get married now. "Please," begs Chloe.

So, Daniel and Chloe have their first argument as a married couple before getting married. Brady comes up and says Melanie isn't coming. Chloe continues to beg. Daniel stands his ground and starts to call Melanie.

Vivian continues to beg. Gus weakens... Gus gives in, "I'm coming to save you."

Rafe hands in all his FBI (Former Blithering Idiot) materials and finalizes his resignation.

Sami tells Will no one can prove she shot EJ. Arianna listens. "With Rafe by my side, I"ll be protected," says Sami. Arianna's jaw hits the ground.

Chloe finally convinces Daniel to hitch up. The JP starts the ceremony. Melanie rushes up, "Stop! I'm telling the truth about you, finally."
