The You-Know-Who That Ate the You-Know-What
Well, when EJ waltzed into the pub carrying little Sydney, didn't he just look like the you-know-who that swallowed the you-know-what?As always, here's wishing you a great weekend. I'll see you on the flip-side.

So... why? I read yesterday's recap and comments, the debate of who's the bad guy, Rafe vs. EJ. What I'm missing in this plot twist is why? Why did EJ leave Anna's, ready to take Syd away for good, then show up at the pub to be the hero?? Does that make sense to anyone?
DakotaDays - as Anna kept trying to point out to EJ, despite all his protestations he still loved Sami. HE wanted to be the hero, not Rafe. At least, that's where the writers are going.
Besides, if he took off for good with the kids how could the writers keep EJ on the canvas? LOL
Today's picture was really clever, Prevuze. Thanks for the Saturday cheer!
That's right-he still loves Sami!
Today's picture was great. But, then again, ANY picture of James Scott is great.....sigh......
Didn't make any sense to me either, Dakota. That's why I think there must've been two separate writing teams duking it out to see which way the story was going to go.
But by now I didn't care who the big hero turned out to be just GET ON WITH IT. Thank goodness they moved it along a notch.
Great picture! Have a nice weekend everybody.
Dakota - Anna told EJ that Sami always needs a hero in her life. To get Rafe out of Sami's orbit, Anna suggested that EJ find her another hero. EJ followed Anna's advise and decided he could fit the bill. Of course, the real problem is that the writers don't give us dialogue to support the characters' feelings/emotions. To figure that out, you have to read the actors' interviews in the soap rags. James Scott said that EJ wasn't getting any satisfaction out of fooling Sami. If you don't know that little tidbit, the whole thing makes no sense. At DOOL, it's business as usual - sloppy, sloppy writing. On the other hand, Prevuze can be counted on for snappy snarky writing and super photos featuring EJ and Woodstock!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
James Scott said that EJ wasn't getting any satisfaction out of fooling Sami.
What a coincidence. I wasn't getting any satisfaction out of watching EJ fool Sami. Or, for that matter, watching period...
Of course, if the writers had known where they were going in the first place, it could have been pretty good sleazy smarmy soap stuff. A dad kidnaps his own kid with the ultimate goal of winning over the mom and aceing out the mom's boytoy du jour. Machiavelli would love it. But that little scoundrel always had a plan. Of course, since EJ and the writers know plans are for wimps, EJ's plan was, "I'm taking her away forever... I'm taking her away forever... I'm taking her away forever..." And then POW! "Here she is, Samantha!"
Speaking of whipsawing here... just rambling, of course... it has also occurred to me that Hope, not knowing what really happened, can use this as cannon fodder against Bo. She can point out to him that EJ paid the ransom and got the baby back which proves shewas right all along. For whatever that's worth.
What the hell am I doing trying to analyze this show? I have too much to do to waste my time with that. I haven't seen the ground at the Prevuze Compound yet in 2010 and now the snow that's been covering it for the past several months has melted and the Prevuzemobile is up to its hubcaps in mud. Hope I can get it out without too much of a fight. Cougars may be all the rage but what I need is a Bobcat.
I figured this was Ej's plan all along; To make Rafe look like a dope (not too hard) and win Sami's affection. But then he came up with this cockamamie idea to flee the country and live on Tinda Lau and it threw me for a loop.
Regardless, he's focusing very hard on someone he has no feelings for. Of course someone always has lingering feelings in Salem, even if they only went on like two dates... and got shot on their wedding day... marrying a different person. Not naming anyone. >_>
He found Sydney when Nicole took her, he should have waltzed in with her right then& there but then the writers wouldn't have the opportunity give us one last swing with the "Evil EJ" vs. "Superhero Rafe" fighting for "Angelic Sami" sledgehammer again.
Lazy writing and JS deserves better.
Many loved Ej because JS is good at subtext acting but this current regime doesn't let him do that (whereas we had during more than ONE YEAR 10000000000000 scenes of Nicole expressing feelings, remorse, motivations..selfishness but still all the above while she carried Sydney and showed affection towards her making viewers sympathize with her..favorites characters for the team writers me thinks..).
The vets are front-burner, the storylines are long-time thinking but the plot twists are ridiculous, there is not character-driven stories and above all some characters are bad bad bad written and out of character with this regime.
