Tidbits
Days Of Our Lives could almost fall into the category of educational TV. OK, that's a ridiculous thought, but we did learn a few things this week, even if they weren't of earthshaking importance. Among many other things, here are a couple of tidbits we discovered:
1) It is actually biologically possible for a couple to have sex without a hint of love or commitment. Who knew? Well, of course, we all knew that, but it does raise a question. Since no money changed hands, does Nathan and Stephanie's gorilla-grind count as you-know-what if she accepted a lavish vacation in lieu of cash? Or, does it just count as mindless monkey-sex, especially since no one with an actual mind was involved?2) Not content with just kidnapping Sydney to get back at Sami, EJ has now planted evidence to make the poor basket case think her daughter has died a horrible death. What did we learn from this? We learned first of all that in order to find the bottom of the barrel, EJ would have to look up instead of down. More importantly we learned there are still a lot of people out there who think Sami should overlook EJ's little "idiosyncrasies" and hook up with him. Maybe nice guys do finish last, even though some people might think of Screamin' Schizo Sami as more appropriately being the booby prize instead of the grand prize.
Ponder these things, dear readers as you get out and enjoy the terrific weekend at hand. Now, don't get too rambunctious, but is that a hint... just a hint of spring in the air?

I don't know about you, but whats in the air at my place is snow.
Feels like spring to me.Sunny, high today low sixties, but rain is on the way.L.A. Lower Alabama
We also learned that even though Anna washed that dress in a strong bleach solution to destroy any DNA from her or Benny the guard handling it - lo and behold - some blood stains and DNA from a previous nosebleed Sydney had remained intact enough for the test to come back that it's her dress. I think the writers realized they were going to have to have EJ get some fresh blood from Sydney to stain the dress after the cleansing wash and that wouldn't sit well (even with EJ lovers); so they just conveniently forgot it was washed.
....continuation....so, what we learned is that strong bleach washes are discriminating as to what DNA they destroy and leave intact - LOL.
We also learned that Melanie is dumb enough to jump in front of someone firing a gun.
"What we learned is that strong bleach washes are discriminating as to what DNA they destroy and leave intact Good one, Anon!
We also learned that it probably won't sit well with your wife that you bailed your girlfriend out of jail.
I'll leave some more for the next commenters. Except for this one - we learned we will always be able to get thru DOOL thanks to Prevuze. And special Saturday editions! Have a nice (snowy/icy/rainy/freezing rain/sleety here) weekend everyone.
Something I learned in case I get married: Immediately before wedding ceremony (or any time for that matter) don't give a note to ex-boyfriend regarding whether or not I should marry fiancee to ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend for delivery.
Although we've already learned this, it was reinforced that we just have to forget anything we already know about medical science and workings of the human body. You can be shot, die on the table, undergo massive shocks to your system and still come out of major surgery with make-up fully and all your (limited) faculties intact.
Who knew?
Oh, and Prevuze, don't know where the Prevuze compound is, but the only thing in the air around here is the hint of Ben Gay trying to soothe the aches and pains of shoveling snow!!

Actually what I think we learned is there are guys who can dream about flat, thin, schoolgirl-like looking girls even when someone suspiciously resembling miss teen USA 2004 is lying ready and willing besides them and they are not pedophiles. It´s easier for me to believe Rolf is able to download John´s entire brain on a disc then that Nathan would be reluctant to have sex with Stephanie, especially when Mark Hapka was nearly drooling when Shelley returned in that revealing nightie.
Maybe Mark is just a very good actor.
I learned that NBC tape delayed the Olympics so I could DVR Days at its usual time. Let's see, show previously taped shows over LIVE Olympics. Hmmm....
Luckily being a Prevuze reader, it saved me the agony and defeat of watching mindless dribble.....wait, that's every week.
OH, and it's been a beautiful few weeks here in the Seattle area. Upper 50s and not a cloud in the sky. We even got a lot of gardening done, and watched several neighbors mow their yards while grilling some steaks.
I've learned that it's possible to go out on a balcony to admire the view during the middle of winter in a wedding dress that resembles a nighty and not get frost bite.
As for spring, there was a dusting of snow on the driveway this morning with the possibility of a foot more by Monday. I've also learned that the snowblower doesn't work when it's out of gas. I better check that tomorrow.

then that Nathan would be reluctant to have sex with Stephanie
I would be less reluctant to have sex with a toaster.
But what I have learned is that children as young as 11 months will remember everything thing you say around them, so I must be extra careful around nosy, cognitive babies.
And the useful info; that it's possible to hide a grown man inside a water heater, but I must never discuss these plans around those aforementioned babies...
barbara said: i am so disgusted w/ stephanie and hope and carley and almost every female ex. mel. i love her gutsy, down-to-earth character and want nathan to be her man. oh my, poor sydney may never be w/her parents, but whatever i am sick, sick, sick of this storyline. please find something else and end it. thank you.
I learned that dead is never dead.
I learned that Hope has a set of balls and they ain't Bo's.
I learned that Sami and EJ deserve each other and no matter how much you try to dress up a devil in saint's clothes well you get it
I learned that the Hernandez family are so boring I would rather have my eyeballs waxed
So Ej is the uber villain but Sami, Nicole, Rafe or Stefano are some Salem angels..?
The guy is seriously out of his mind, do some crazy, awful things and need a good therapy (where is Marlena when you need her ?!) but hey don't forget he has some reasons too, they really did a number to him.
The writers really try to write him as a monster, ireedemable character, one note villain but no i don't buy this crap.
The poor JS, he has to play this crap to fit the plot driven and so surprising twists of this never-ending storyline.
At least the character has got back some of his brains even if now he is loco and revengeful !!
I just hope now for JS to leave this show and try prime time (he has the chops for that) before being too much labeled as a "soap actor", and like his character is badly written by the actual regime it is not worth staying anyway.
With the economy he wants his paycheck but still.
I learned that you can get shot, go through complicated surgery, die on the table, and still have your hair and makeup look PERFECT!
I swear, I want to go to Salem just to hit their cosmetics counters!

I've learned that the writers are vengeful if everyone doesn't buy what they're trying to prop and will do anything/everything force us into rooting for Safe.
I've learned that Safe can't be as popular as we're constantly being told or the writers wouldn't have to be so heavy-handed.
I've learned that the writers of Prevuze have to have the strongest stomachs EVER! to watch this show daily.
