The Old Heave-Ho
At the cop-shop, Will and Gabi are showing Rafe family photos. They think they've found something odd about Johnny and want to know if Rafe sees it, too. The SPD relies heavily on public-minded citizens to step up and figure out what's going on. Unfortunately, the old saying holds, "You can lead a Salem cop to water but you can't make him dive in and find a clue." Rafe isn't certain he sees anything strange... but wait...
"OHHHH MYYYY GOOOODDDD!"
At the pub, Melanie asks Nathan why he and Stephanie have moved up the wedding date, "Are you getting married because she is pregnant?" Nathan wonders why Melanie said that and says he wants to be honest. Melanie wonders if he was lying when he said he loved her.
"Hell no."
Caroline and Stephanie meet up again at the hospital. Caroline is upset Patch and Kayla can't be at Stephanie's wedding. "When I found out mom is out of touch I thought it was a sign," says Stephanie.
"She's always been out of touch," says Caroline, "Why is this different?"
"Now no one has to ever know Phillip cheated on Melanie," says Stephanie.
Daniel overhears, "Cheating on my daughter... I'll kill him."
Phillip is at Daniel and Chloe's place. Brady arrives. Hey they can have a small meeting of the "I've banged Chloe club." Brady announces he and Nicole broke up.
Nicole arrives at the DiMera mansion. EJ answers the door and Nicole snaps, "You bastard!"
Melanie wonders if Nathan loves her why he's marrying Stephanie. Her own sacred marital vows notwithstanding. Nathan explains he was going to tell Stephanie, but before he could he talked to a patient about the years of happiness she had with her husband even though he wasn't her soul-mate, "I truly believe I can be happy with Stephanie."
"Man, that fever really went to your brain, didn't it," asks Melanie.
Nathan reminds her she's married and says they can't blow the happiness they have.
Abe walks in on Dr. Ben and Lexie as they hug. It's not the first time he's found Lexie in the arms of another man.
Will, Gabi and Rafe continue to be puzzled by the photos. Rafe suggests reprinting the photos.
Nicole spews hatred for EJ. He asks what happened when she gave Brady the old heave-ho. "I gave him the heave," says Nicole, "But since I'm gone he doesn't' have the ho any more."
Gabi, Will and Rafe arrive at the Hernandez Hovel to reprint the pictures. Rafe goes to work on the computer, trying to find the on-off switch.
Melanie and Nathan decide if they got together they'd just annoy each other.
Caroline and Stephanie find Daniel. They say hi and stammer around. Daniel is distracted as they kid around about the wedding. Distracted Daniel leaves.
Brady tells Chloe he and Nicole just realized things weren't working. He changes the subject. Chloe goes to change Parker's diapers and send them to the DOOL script department.
Phillip tells Brady if he's broken up with Nicole they can't trust her.
EJ refuses to let Nicole see Sydney until she moves out of the Kiriakis mansion. Nicole argues. EJ suggests she move in with him.
So the reprinted pictures still look peculiar. Rafe suggests not telling Sami. Will and Gabi leave. Rafe stares at the pictures and sighs, then he also leaves.
Abe gets jealous. Dr. Ben decides this would be a good time to skedaddle. Abe spells things out for Lexie, "What was going on between you and Ben Walters."
"Nothing more than was going on between me and Tek," says Lexie.
Melanie changes the subject and tells him she and Phillip are trying to have a baby. Then she says she can't stop thinking about what they both said in quarantine.
"What was that," asks Nathan.
"We both said, 'AAAAAHHHHH I'M SO SICK I THINK I'M GOING TO DIE.'"
Chloe brings the baby back out as Phillip leaves. Chloe says things seemed tense between Brady and Phillip. Brady says it's a work situation and brushes it off. Chloe hands Parker to him and says she wishes Brady was happy. Brady says breaking up is for the best, "Especially when you're breaking up with Nicole... or you for that matter"
EJ clarifies and says Nicole can move into the DiMera Cottage. She thinks he wants her around so he can watch her, but backs off and EJ convinces her. He tells her to go get her things.
Abe continues to spew venom at Lexie. Lexie defends herself and says she was worried about Theo. "So," snorts Abe, "Instead of calling your husband you fall into the arms of a guy who might have a little sympathy and understanding."
Nathan and Melanie join Stephanie and Caroline at the hospital. Caroline says she will throw her a fantastic wedding shower. Dr. Ben overhears. Nathan says they're getting married sooner than they thought. "I don't think so," says Dr. Ben.
Daniel paces at the dock and wonders if he heard things right. Chloe calls and says she'll meet him at the pier. Daniel continues to be distracted as Phillip walks up.
Henderson walks in as Nicole sends Brady flying, "You bastard, you lied to me!"
"You're right," says Brady, "I'm not pregnant. It's foam rubber."
Rafe shows up at the DiMera mansion telling EJ he wants to talk about Johnny. EJ is skeptical.
Abe shifts gears and says he overreacted. He apologizes and Lexie says she's only interested in one man... at a time.
Ben says he's concerned about Nathan just coming off his illness. Nathan reminds Ben he's a doctor and would know if there were any issues. Ben congratulates them on their pending disaster and leaves.
Daniel tells Chloe he'll see her soon and hangs up. He and Phillip have a staredown. "Tell me you didn't cheat on my daughter," says Daniel.
Brady and Nicole argue for Henderson's benefit. Brady gives her an ultimatum, it's Sydney or him. Henderson runs out screaming as Brady and Nicole fall into each other's arms. "We should break up more often," says Brady.
EJ tells Rafe about Sami's ugly encounter with Johnny earlier, "She explained to Johnny she won't see him or Sydney again." He tells Rafe one of the conditions of their arrangement is that EJ won't mess up Rafe's employment with the SPD. Rafe will mess that up all on his own.
Rafe hands EJ the pictures and asks what he sees.
"I never realized how much Johnny looks like Justin Bieber," says EJ.
Melanie flashes back to telling Nathan she heard him say he loves her.
Ben and Nathan walk in. Ben apologizes for being intrusive. Nathan says Stephanie is the best thing that's ever happened to him. "You must have had a dismal life so far," says Ben.
Abe says, "I sometimes wonder if I'm in denial."
"You certainly are if you think I can remain faithful," says Lexie.
In spite of that Abe says he loves Lexie more than she'll ever know.
"And I love more men than you'll ever know," says Lexie. Abe leaves. Lexie stomps out.
Brady and Nicole rough-romp.
Rafe urges EJ to look at the pictures and stop spewing wisecracks.
Nicole and Brady languish in the aftershock... uh... glow. Nicole tells him she'll be living in the DiMera guest house. Brady isn't sure that is a good idea, and thinks this is about Sydney. Nicole says maybe it is, but she can't give up on her. She begs him to understand.
EJ says he knows Rafe wants to see Johnny. Rafe says it's not about him, suggests EJ should look at Johnny's left eye in the photos and perhaps see a doctor.
Daniel gets nasty with Phillip and says he saw him in the pub with Bambi Tooloose and again wonders if Phillip has cheated on his daughter.
Stephanie is with Melanie in a patient room. She gets off the phone from making wedding arrangements. Melanie is distant as Stephanie says she can't believe her wedding is happening, "I'm a lucky girl."
"I wonder if you know how Nathan really feels," asks Melanie.
Brady thinks EJ may be trying to keep an eye on Nicole. She says it will be fun for them to sneak around and find cheap motels. Nothing gets Brady's attention like talking about cheap motels (or, if he goes there with Nicole, I guess you'd have to call them ho-tels). "I think you can rise above this," says Nicole.
"Rising above," says Brady, "that's never been a problem for me." He 'rises above' and goes in for another round.
EJ stares at Johnny's photo and wonders.
Rafe gets back to the Hernandez Hovel and starts to make a call, but Lexie interrupts looking for Sami. Rafe tells her he and Sami heed her help.
Daniel grabs Phillip's lapels, "You thought you could get away with cheating on my daughter!" Chloe walks up and grabs and eyeful.

Isn’t that the truth. If Melanie was so in love with Phillip, she would be encouraging Nathan to stop thinking about her and to move on. Apparently, Nathan’s infatuation with her gives Melanie’s ego a much needed boost.

I thought the DiMera mansion had more rooms than a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe they relegate the cootified guests to the cottage, and Nicole would certainly fit into that category.

Lord have mercy! Prevuze you were on a roll yesterday. All of the pictures were inspired, especially Charley Chaplain's Little Tramp and Johnny/Justin B.
There were also several memorable prevuisms:

What I couldn't believe was the way they had Melanie acting. Asking Nathan why he was marrying Stephanie, Her own sacred marital vows notwithstanding. Smirking and rolling her eyes in the background while Dr. Ben was talking to Nathanie about the wedding. Challenging Nathan's feelings toward Steph which they were talking. Talk about a spoiled brat! Leslie is so right.
BTW, must congratulate Prevuze on the ho-tels crack. Ya got me. Liquid definitely spewed.
