From A Restraining Order To Full Custody
The Brady Bunch consisting of Roman, Caroline, Sami and Will, are at the pub. Sami drops the bomb, "I saw EJ last night and he's never gonna let me see my kids again."
"Of course," says Sami.
"Those lucky dogs," says Will.
Rafe and his scuba buddy are at the pier. George has recommended his buddy to look for the gun.
EJ and Lexie are in the garden and EJ tells her he has full custody. "From a restraining order to full custody," says Lexie, "How did you do that?"
Stefano blocks Kate from leaving. He wants to finish their conversation. He also wants to go off his rocker. Kate insists she didn't know for sure when she called Sami. Stefano won't have any of it. The argument escalates. Stefano accuses her of doing things that could have killed EJ. Kate asks what he is going to do to her.
"Remember those whips and chains we used to play with," asks Stefano, "Well, we aren't playing any more."
EJ wants his kids all to himself so badly he hands them off to Mary. Lexie wants an explanation. "Let's just say I turned the situation to my advantage."
Caroline urges Sami to go to court. Hey she'll already be there when they try her for attempted murder.
Kate says she loathes Sami but she knew the kids would disappear and Johnny and Sydney are Will's brother and sister. She did it for Will. She has strong feelings for Will. I guess that makes her a strong-willed woman.
Rafe tells Scuba-boy what he's looking for in the river. Besides a needle in a haystack. "It's a pistol. I realize the thing may have disintegrated in that polluted mess, but give it a try."
Lexie reminds EJ not too long ago he wanted to marry Sami. It seems EJ has changed his mind, the part of it that's not splattered all over the bedroom wall, anyway.. Lexie wonders if the fact that Sami or Will may have shot him has something to do with this. EJ sidesteps the issue and says he's not sharing his kids with Samantha.
Roman wonders if EJ will compromise. Sami says no, "He holds all the cards."
"Well, you've got me," says Roman. Right. EJ has the cards, but Sami has the joker.
Maxine is with Maggie who says she is exhausted. Maxine leaves and Vivian sneaks in, "Hello, dear."
Vivian wants to finish their little talk. Two more words and it won't be little any more. Maggie, for the first time ever isn't in a talking mood. Vivian says now she's setting her sights on Victor, not Maggie, "I plan to destroy him."
EJ tells Lexie Sami won't be the kids' mother for long.
Roman goes macho. He says he'll arrest EJ if he drops a gum wrapper on the sidewalk. Sami thinks he should back off. Will makes the first adult suggestion, but Sami interrupts, "We have to play this EJ's way."
Kate says EJ is Stefano's blood and she is the woman Stefano blackmailed into marrying him. She thinks EJ has accomplished what he wanted with the kids there. Stefano says this has to do with him and her, not Elvis, "You took Samantha's side against me." Kate says she had her kids taken by a lunatic husband and she wouldn't wish that on anyone. I wouldn't wish her kids on anyone, either.
Sami says they have to play it cool. "This sucks," says Will as he leaves. Roman reminds Sami when she goes rogue things get out of hand. She says she's not alone, "Two heads are better than one." If Sami and Rafe can find two heads, they're in business.
Scuba-boy tells Rafe he couldn't find anything in the river, including the bottom, "Somebody else found the gun."
EJ says Sami had it won when she had the restraining order, "She wanted more. She nearly got it."
"Are you saying Sami shot you," asks Lexie.
EJ tells her yes but says he survived and now has his children back, "She deserves what she gets."
Johnny and Theo run up. Johnny wants to know if they have time for hot chocolate before mommy picks them up. Oops.
Kate says her sympathy isn't for Sami, it's for her kids, "Something snapped." Something is going to snap all right and it's Stefano. Kate wonders if they can put all this behind them.
Stefano says that depends on whatever else she is keeping form him. He gets a call, "I see... please have him come to my house." He hangs up and says that was the hospital, "The paternity test results are in. We have to get the results before Caroline switches them."
EJ 'splains that Sami isn't coming. He bribes Johnny with the promise of pizza. Johnny and Theo run off. Lexie wants to know, "What will you do tomorrow night, hire a clown?"
"No," says EJ, "Bo is already employed." He asks her not to judge him. Lexie judges, then goes in to say goodbye to Theo. Rafe calls EJ.
Rafe is in with Sami telling her the diver didn't find the gun. EJ calls Sami. He says he's calling her to say not to waste any more money looking for the gun, "That gun is in a place you will never get to it."
Sami hangs up, "The gun must be in church."
Stefano says someone from the hospital is coming with the results and Chad is coming, too. He wonders how Kate feels about this. She says it's all right with her, "I know you weren't a monk before I married you."
"I certainly didn't get around as much as you did," says Stefano. He thinks she's taking it very well. He also thinks she pushed Chad at him for a reason.
"Chad is Will's friend," says Kate, "That's all there is to it." Chris calls her. She asks to do the meeting as a conference call and asks him to set it up.
Stefano flashes back to Chad telling him about the birth certificate. Kate comes back and says they canceled the meeting. "You're very busy," says Stefano, "You're keeping something else from me, aren't you."
"You're not getting any tonight, if that's what you mean," says Kate.
Maggie orders Vivian out. Vivian doesn't leave and Maggie flings a vase of flowers at her. She threatens to go to the police. Vivian says Brady is the one who put her in the sarcophagus.
Mary brings Sydney to EJ to say goodbye before she goes to her play group. Coincidentally, Sydney is going to her play group, too. Roman walks up as Mary and Sydney leave, "Does Lexie know what you're up to? We're not gonna let that happen."
Rafe and Sami are outside the pub. Rafe asks about Will. Sami says he's calm on the outside but wants to explode on the inside. "EJ is a monster." Lexie walks up and wants to know whom is calling whom a monster.
Will and Chad are together talking about the prospect that Stefano is Chad's father.
Stefano asks Kate if she ever thinks about the past enough to cobble together a story. He says he just did that and it ended up about Kate, "You've known about Chad for quite a while now." Kate denies she speculates Charles sent the birth certificate to Chad and now refuses to have anything to do with him. "Nice try," says Stefano. He reminds Kate of when she got into Madeline's safe deposit box, "You had the first look at the things in there. You found out and you kept it from me. Why?"
EJ says Roman needs to think about what he is doing for Samantha, "I'm allowing her to live in freedom." Roman asks if EJ wants to be the kind of father that keeps his kids away from Will and Allie.
Sami begs Lexie to tell her if the kids are OK. Rafe drags the ranting maniac back inside. "This is not going to turn out the way you want, EJ," says Lexie.
Will says if Stefano finds out there is a drop of DiMera blood in Chad, Stefano will want to own him.
Kate tells Stefano he's right, "I found the birth certificate in the safe deposit box. I took it to Madeline. She begged me not to tell. I honored her wish. Her husband is the DA and she was a powerful judge and I decided to honor her wishes. It bothered me after she died because Charles turned on Chad. I decided to send the certificate to Chad so he would have the choice if he was going to be a DiMera. And he came to you."
"YOU BETRAYED ME!"
Maggie insists Brady wouldn't do that. Vivian insists he did, "His drinking is out of control. If you go to the police I'll sing like a canary and Bo will put Brady in prison. Nicole and Kate and Phillip were involved, too." Maggie thinks Vivian is lying. Vivian says the truth will come out in the end. That's not the only thing that comes out the end on this show.
Sami insists they have to find a way to make things right.
Roman wonders why Sami shouldn't keep the kids from EJ, "You kidnapped Sydney. And I'll find Anna." EJ says if Roman brings the law down on him, he'll bring the law down on Samantha, and EJ thinks he has a better case for doing that.
Stefano kicks Kate to the curb. Totopermanently, "Get out of my house, for all the Days Of Our Lives."

So, will Kate and Sami team up against EJ and Stefano now? Of course it would all be for Will, right?? And what will happen to poor angry Chad now? Probably move into the mansion right behind Nicole. Like many of you, I'm ready for the Phillip/Chlohe babydaddy bomb to drop!

The other one that made me LOL is "I know you weren't a monk before I married you."...Not a monk, but I bet he's got nothing on Kate when it comes to sex! Stefy boy probably got as much action in his life as Kate got in ONE slow MONTH when she was turning tricks...but who's counting?

Since Kate spent so much time in the gutter, that’s probably appropriate.
Let’s see. Sami tried to kill EJ three months ago, and Rafe is looking for the gun now. Good work Sherlock. If there is an undercurrent, the gun probably isn’t close to where Sami dumped it. That’s assuming Sami remembered where she threw it in the river. It’s also kind of amazing that Diver Dan didn’t find any guns, because I would bet a large body of water is a popular place to dump unwanted firearms. Unless EJ is blowing smoke, it would have taken several days and lots of divers to find the gun. Since he didn’t know where to start looking for it, the search would have drawn a fair amount of suspicion. Ah yes, Salem - where reality goes to die.

I started to praise this episode for sparing us bawling and whining Melanie but we do have bawling Kate and whining Sami so we're back to square one.
