The Smoking Gun

We're at the Hernandez Hovel. Sami thinks they can't go along with Nicole's scheme. Rafe says they'll do it until they figure she can't use anything against Sami, "I will either get that camera back or make sure she can't use it."

EJ computes, "Desperate times call for desperate measures." he makes a call and tells his boyz to gas the jet so he can take a confidential trip to Switzerland. Lexie walks in.

Nicole sits in the Kiriakis parlor and tells herself not to get emotional. She flashes back to the confrontation at the Hernandez Hovel and decides, "If they bought that I have some land in Florida they might like. But... CENSORED.

Rafe tells Sami they have something Nicole wants so they can use Sydney as bait. "What else are kids good for," asks Sami.

Jennifer is with Bo at the pub. She says maybe she’ll come back for good, or bad. Bo wonders what's really up, "What is Jack pulling this time." Jen says Jack has left her.

Carly is with Hope in the visiting area. Hope asks how Bo is doing. "Not good," says Carly, "How could he be? You're in here, and not a thousand miles away."

Jen says Jack is on a walkabout, "He would rather be alone than with me. He's finding himself."

Bo thinks Jack's a jerk, "And that kinda goes along with being a guy. We guys wouldn't have it any other way." he asks if Jennifer would give Jack another chance.

Carly says Bo respects Hope and wants her to be a part of Ciara's life. Hope thinks she deserves her punishment. Carly tells her they share things in common, "Hope, why do you think he sent me here?"

"Because," says Hope, "Bo knows how much a woman loves to sit and chat with her husband's mistress."

Sami says she trusts Rafe. Rafe insists he won't let Nicole out of his sight when she has Sydney. Sami agrees and heads back to get Sydney. Rafe makes a call, "I need a favor. Something is going out over the Internet and I need to stop it before it goes viral. You got a program that can handle that? Good." He hangs up and Sami announces Sydney is ready to go. Sami, however isn't.

EJ reminds Lexie how important it is to keep things from Stefano. Lexie insists she didn't hear what EJ said. He digs out a coin, "It's the first pound I ever earned and I want to give it to Theo."

"I have the first pound I ever gained," says Lexie, "And a few more than I would like, too." She wonders if this somehow means EJ is saying goodbye.

Carly says Bo sent her with information so Hope can fix whatever is going on there. You know, evil things like keeping prisoners locked up. Carly tells her Bo is on her side.

EJ says he's not going away, but he's becoming more reflective, because of the shiny steel plate he now has in his head in place of a brain. Lexie asks what the phone call was about but she gets a call and has to leave. EJ paces, "I lied... that was goodbye."

Nicole can't believe Arianna gave her a second chance with Sydney. She makes a toast, "To Arianna. Thank you for the smoking gun!" OK... I'm not following at all. I thought Arianna had the video camera and Sami had the smoking gun.

The doorbell rings. Nicole takes a few more slugs of booze and opens the door to find Rafe and Sydney.

Hope points out that it's Carly helping Bo to everything she's got. The pair agrees to act friendly in the future so as not to arouse suspicion. Carly goes home to arouse Bo.

Will is with Sami, who tells him Rafe has taken Sydney to Nicole, "Convince me he is right. Convince me this will work out. Convince me you're the only adult in the room."

Rafe wants ground rules, "No more unscheduled visits. You bend the rules, this arrangement is off." He gives Sydney to Nicole who oohs and aahs over her. Rafe figures Nicole has been drinking and says she's broken one of the aforementioned rules. Nicole tells him to butt out. Rafe wants to keep his butt in the middle of things, however.

EJ brings his bags to Marco. Marco leaves with them as EJ tells himself he has something to do with Sami, "I will do it and I will enjoy it."

Out in the audience, an Ejami turns to her neighbor, "I hope IT is you-know-what. I'm sure he'd enjoy it."

Sami feels bad about leaning on Will but leans anyway. She tells him what with everything he's been through he's entitled to be screwed up, "But you are dependable and smart and gullible." She says Nicole scares her but they agree Rafe will protect them. She also worries Nicole will turn Sydney against her. Will assures her Rafe knows what he's doing. Wow, he really is gullible, isn't he?

"You are a great mom," Says Will.

Sami hugs him, "You have low standards." She beat me to the punch on that one. He says he has a math test to flunk since Rafe has been tutoring him, and leaves.

Nicole plays with Sydney and Rafe tells her she's actually good with her. He also asks if Sydney is the only reason Nicole didn't go to the police, "I think you hate EJ as much as she does." He also says if Nicole loves Sydney she should keep her away from EJ, "We have to start trusting each other." Nicole has a good laugh at that one.

EJ is on the phone making sure the jet is ready. He hangs up and stares at Stefano's picture. Then he takes a last look and walks out.

Leigh computes. Hope walks in and takes over. Leigh asks about Hope's visitor and says pretty soon the visitors will stop coming. Hope says she misses her job and asks what Leigh did before she came to prison. Leigh skedaddles.

Jennifer says she thinks this could be it with Jack, "I love him but don’t want to be blindsided any more." She asks Bo to keep this to himself. She leaves.

Bo shouts, "HEY, EVERYBODY, DID YOU HEAR WHAT'S UP WITH JENNIFER AND JACK?"

Rafe stares at Nicole's purse as she fiddles around with Sydney.

EJ shows up at the Hernandez Hovel, "I need to talk to you. But it might not be the most meaningful conversation since some thoughtless person shot out the part of my brain that controls speech." Sami don' got nuttin to say to him. "I want to see if we can bury the hatchet," says EJ.

"Sure," says Sami, "Right in your skull."

Jennifer shows up at the hospital and has a hugfest with Lexie. She says she's looking for Maggie, but... of course, Maggie's not there. Lexie introduces Jennifer to the very eligible Dr. Walters and leaves. Ben is charming and they shake hands, Jen drops her jaw when she sees his bracelet, "Not you, too!"

Bo and Carly are back together at the pub.

The warden comes in and compliments Hope on her industriousness. Hope asks about her background. The warden clams up.

Rafe says he has a phone call to make and leaves. Out in the hall he looks at a flash disk that his geeky pal gave him to destroy the video. He fakes a call as he plays with Nicole's computer and inserts the flash drive.

EJ says the two of them have to find a way to coexist. Sami doesn't think that's possible or necessary. She gets a call, "Is this Samantha Brady?"

"Yeah," says Sami, "Who's this?" Probably a collection agency since no one at the Hernandez Hovel is employed.

Back to Jen & Ben. Jennifer tells him about the aboriginal journey the bracelet represents. She's upset a grown man would do things like that to find himself, "But whatever floats your boat, buddy." She turns on her heel and leaves.

The warden says she just wound up there. Hope asks about Leigh and the warden brushes it off telling Hope Leigh is a trustee. She leaves and Hope wonders why everyone is keeping the past a secret. Because the past is in the past and we should let the past stay in the past and...

Bo goes outside to make a call. "It's not over between the two of you, is it," asks Carly, "Not even close."

"FILES DELETED," flashes the computer. Rafe surreptitiously pulls the flash drive out of the computer, shoves it in his pocket, and rejoins Nicole.

EJ chloroforms Sami as she tries to figure out who is on the phone. She goes unconscious and EJ carries her to the couch.

"SSCCRREEAAMM"

EJ turns to see a horrified Allie.
