Men Are Pig-Headed — Get Used To It
Carly paces. Bo tells her she should go upstairs. Carly snorts, "Are you sending me to my room?"
"No supper either," says Bo. He assures her she can trust Hope.
Victor wants to know what Bo did to get Hope so upset.
Arianna paces and bawls at the dock. EJ finds her. He puts a hand on her shoulder. Arianna half-smiles, "Brady?"
Brady broods at the Java Café.
EJ offers Arianna a hanky. Arianna snaps, "I don't need anything from you. Anything."
Melanie sits at the Java Café and checks her makeup. Phillip comes up to her and gets cute, "You can't improve perfection."
"I don't have to," says Melanie, "I have a date with Nathan."
Phillip asks, "Why go out with him when you can go out with me? I have so many spare parts, with me you practically get a two-for-one deal."
Sami and Rafe smooch and vow their undying love.
In a humanitarian gesture not often seen on this show, the gals from the Safe section of the audience take the barf bags from the seat pockets in front of them and deliver them to the Lumi and Ejami sections, which long-ago ran out of them.
Rafe says he has to go. Sami is so proud of herself because she doesn't even ask where. Suddenly a knock at the door ends all of this exciting action. Sami goes over and slowly opens the door while Rafe runs. She blocks the entrance while Rafe gets himself settled in a hiding place, and banters with Nicole. She reaches down to pick up Sydney and say hi to her, but Nicole explodes, "JUST LEAVE HER ALONE, OK?"
Bo convinces Carly she has to calm down, "Hope does not break her word. She said we have 24 hours, so we have 24 hours. Let's talk about the guy on the boat." Carly says she liked having him around because his life might be more screwed up than hers.
Victor digs. Hope evades. She flashes back to discovering Carly, but won't tell Victor what happened to get her so upset. "My son is an idiot," says Victor.
"I have to agree," says Hope, "After all, he married me, didn't he?" Hope says she had hoped to find Bo at least a little helpless and despondent over their situation, "But that's not going to happen is it? Look at the history. He has lived fine without me. He found happiness with two other women."
"But he stayed married to you," says Victor, "So I have to believe happiness isn't what Bo is after."
Phillip cuts to the chase. He moves in on Melanie, "We were meant to be together."Oops. Melanie snaps out of her dream as Nathan comes up to her table. She promises him the best date of his life and they trundle out together.
Brady watches and broods. Broody Brady flashes back to his conversation with Arianna. He doesn't know if he can keep his promise not to call the cops.
EJ says, "This is just a handkerchief — with no strings attached." Arianna starts to leave but EJ stops her.
Nicole apologizes for snapping. Sami is understanding. She thinks Nicole seems tired. Nicole admits she is and apologizes for bringing up Sami's past at the pier. Given their dubious pasts, Nicole thinks neither of them should be judging Mia. "I'm not judging," says Sami, "I just think Mia is a rat for doing what she did to Will. She shouldn't have done that, and owes him an apology. But I'm not judging."
Nicole looks for the teething ring. When he hears Nicole mention it, that's Rafe's signal to take it out of his pocket and stare at it. Sami reminds Nicole the DNA tests are coming in and wonders if Nicole is worried about the outcome. Nicole says she isn't, "No matter what, I'm not going to let anyone take Sydney from me."
Rafe mumbles, "We'll see about that, Nicole." Fortunately Nicole is suffering from temporary deafness and doesn't hear him.
Bo thinks Carly should get some rest. Carly don' wan' no stinkin' rest, "I don't like it upstairs."
Well," quips Bo, "I'll just redecorate."
"There are nicer things than being found in your ex-lover's bed by his present wife."
"You're right," says Bo, "If I'd been in there with you, that might have gotten Hope out of my life for good."
Bo brings up Justin, "Just tell him why you killed Lawrence and he'll plead your case." Carly says it can't be done. Bo says he respects her stubbornness and the way she protects the people she cares about.
"Gosh," says Carly, "Who does that remind me of?"
"I'm not good at riddles," says Bo.
Victor and Hope discuss Carly. Hope brings up Lawrence. Victor asks, "Are you afraid the widow Alamain is going to wend her way back to Salem? No way is that going to happen."
Hope drones, "If you say so, that must be true."
Nicole tells Sami she hopes to move out soon. She says Sami has been great but she wants to be on her own, "I won't give up hope."
Sami warns her to be careful, "If Chad isn't the father EJ might sue for custody. He did that with Johnny." Sydney sleeps. Nicole says she has to go for meds and Sami offers to watch her. Nicole takes her up on the offer. She leaves. Sami tells Sydney she's a perfect little angel. Rafe comes back out, "It's that you're with a baby again."
"And we're with Sydney, too," says Sami. She tells him it's going to be hard to say goodbye to Sydney.
In case you missed it during the past few thousand times they went over it, Carly and Bo talk about how much Carly is disrupting his life. She asks about Shawn. "Shawn has a daughter," says Bo, "I expect her to show up as Salem's next teenage problem child any day now."
Carly gasps, "So... you have a grandchild. Grandpa Bo!"
Bo snarls, "Hey, just remember, your life is in my hands."
What I meant," says Carly, "was... vibrant, young grandpa!"
Bo tells her about Zack, "It took a while, but Hope and I got over it."
Zack's ghost steps up, "I haven't gotten over it yet, myself."
Carly once again decides she has to go. Bo tells her that wouldn't change the circumstances with Hope, "I love her. I always did. And if she knew the real story she'd be first in line to help you."
Hope tells Victor she's not worried about Carly. She asks why Victor married her. "She saved my life and I was grateful," says Victor, "which is almost always a mistake. She has a way of playing the innocent victim and in reality was a predator. Bo never saw her for what she was, even after she dumped him. Maybe his eyes are open now."
"Or not," says Hope.
Nathan gives Melanie a tour of his bedroom. Small room, small tour, so Nathan suggests going back downstairs. Melanie suggests staying right there and moves in on him.
Nicole chases down Brady outside the pub. She tells him she's sorry.
Rafe and Sami start a little slap and tickle but Sami stops him and talks about her relationship with Nicole, "We used to hate each other, but now she trusts me enough to leave me with Sydney." Rafe starts to say something but hesitates.
Melanie and Nathan have moved to the bed and things have gotten serious. Nathan pants, "Are you sure?"
Melanie looks that up in the Gal Manual, "When things have reached this stage and the guy asks, 'Are you sure,' it is purely rhetorical. He's sure, and is pretty sure you're sure." Melanie is sure.
Brady says "Obviously, you didn't go. You changed your mind."
Nicole says, "Actually, it was changed for me."
Arianna tells EJ he lives up to his reputation. "By the way, I don't like to be given orders."
"Since you're a waitress, that must make life tough," says EJ. He says he just wants to talk to her because he saw her crying and was worried.
"Really," says Arianna, "You like to take care of women in trouble? What about your wife?"
EJ dodges that one and tells her he thinks her brother is fixated on him, "I must say, I'm not exactly depressed he left town. Good riddance."
Rafe tells Sami what he was going to say wasn't important. Sami says she believes Nicole has changed, "I know what she did to get Sydney, but who got hurt? Rafe says he isn't convinced that no one got hurt. "Practically speaking," says Sami, "What do I have that Nicole wants, anyway?"
Out in the audience, one of the Ejamis stands and shouts, "EJ! You have EJ! OPEN YOUR EYES AND REALIZE IT! DUMP Rafe AND RUN TO..." Once the ruckus is over and they drag her out screaming, the show continues.
Nicole tells Brady the situation changed and she thinks Chad may not be Sydney's real father, which means she may be able to keep Sydney. Brady can't believe Mia would keep a secret like that. Nicole explodes and wonders why everyone is so concerned about Mia. Brady accuses her of being self centered. Nicole thinks he's a little upset and asks why. Brady evades. Nicole tells him if anything happened to him she couldn't stand it, "There is only one person who ever really cared about me and loved me."
EJ and Arianna continue to bicker about Rafe. Arianna gets on his case for kicking his wife and child out. "You know," says EJ, "You remind me a bit of Rafe. You're full of righteous indignation."
Arianna thinks EJ is full of something else. She walks off.
Hope finds Justin in the study, "Ciara had another nightmare. That's her second one tonight."
"And how many times has she seen you tonight?"
"Two."
"I'm an attorney," says Justin, "I'm trained to pick up on patterns and I'm definitely seeing a pattern there."
Hope thinks maybe Ciara is picking up on her tension. Justin asks, "Is that general tension or 'Carly living in your house' tension?"
Hope gets sarcastic, "Yeah, there is a murderer living in my house. Victor thinks she's a predator and it takes one to know one."
Bo comes back into the living room and finds Carly asleep. He covers her with Hope's blankie, turns out the lights and goes upstairs. A figure comes in behind her. Carly looks up, sees Lawrence and gasps.
Nathan and Melanie are in full swing. Suddenly Melanie looks away and fantasizes about Phillip. Nathan's phone rings.
Nathan thinks it might be the hospital, so he picks up. Of course, it's an emergency, and Nathan can't stay.
Melanie says, "Go save lives."
"I wish I had a 9 to 5 job," says Nathan.
"Right," says Melanie, "People in Salem who have regular jobs don't have to work at all." Nathan leaves and Melanie plays the Internet porno in her mind, "What is your problem?"
Justin reminds Hope Lawrence was a really bad guy and Carly wouldn't kill anyone without cause. Hope brings up Adrian. Justin says he loves her and knows Hope loves Bo. Hope excuses herself. Justin leaves and Hope picks up her phone.
Lawrence tells Carly she couldn't get rid of him that easily. He draws a knife. Bo rushes in and Lawrence carves him like the Thanksgiving turkey. DOWN GOES BO!
The real turkey rushes in and tells quivering Carly she's safe. Hugs.
Brady insists he's fine. He tells Nicole she and Sydney belong together.
Rafe says he has to go, but he promises things will get better. Sami doesn't see how anything could be better. She makes him promise to come back. Rafe promises. Sealed with a kiss. He leaves. Inside, Sami gives her ooey-gooey schoolgirl smile.
Rafe calls his FBI buddy Tim and says he will see him soon.
Nicole says she's glad she ran into Brady, "Kinda glad, anyway. I know there is no going back, but you wouldn't want to because of Arianna."
"That didn't work out," says Brady.
Nicole asks, "Is that why you are upset?"
"Things like that don't upset me," he insists.
"Liar," says Nicole, "Goodnight, friend."
"Goodnight, buddy."
Rafe is back in Arianna's apartment talking on the phone with Tim. He tells him he got the samples.
Arianna returns as Rafe hangs up. She asks, "Did you get what you needed."
"Yes," says Rafe, "And I got the DNA samples, too."
"Do you know what EJ will do when he finds out," she asks.
"No," says Rafe, "But I'm sure it will involve EJ acting like a real jerk."
Sami shows up at the DiMera mansion to get Johnny. EJ rushes up behind her and says he's sorry he didn't drop him off. Sami tells EJ she's watching Sydney, too. She offers her to EJ to hold, but EJ rejects.
Sami turns to Sydney, "He's just being obstinate and I know you don't understand. I don't understand men either. Men are pig headed — get used to it." Sami says she doesn't get EJ. Why can't you just be happy with Sydney and her mother.
"It's not that simple," says EJ.
Justin comes back and asks if everything is OK. "I have to believe it will be," says Hope.
Carly panics and says she has to get out. She runs and opens the door.
Two ominous figures stand there. "Officer Brady," says one, "I'm officer Hutchins and she is officer DeCinzo. We came to ask you a few questions, but I guess we don't have to. It looks like we have found Carly Manning." Hutchins turns to Carly, "You're under arrest for the murder of Lawrence Alamain." He walks behind Carly and we hear the sound of handcuffs clicking.
"No supper either," says Bo. He assures her she can trust Hope.
Victor wants to know what Bo did to get Hope so upset.
Arianna paces and bawls at the dock. EJ finds her. He puts a hand on her shoulder. Arianna half-smiles, "Brady?"

I would have posted the neutral section as "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"
call me Jaded.
Isn't this sweeps? Less Rafe and Arianna please. They are killing this show.
ari and rafe are not killing the show its rafe thats going to explose Nicole , Ej is a complete jerk why cant he just hold Sydney shes a baby. I cant believe the fed get carly already
Carly's arrest is just a way to get more friction going for Bope. I can't say I mind cause Hope is getting on my last nerve with her constant negative attitude toward Bo. So glad to see that Bo has finally found his pair :)
Loved the SAFE pics and the Lumi/Ejami reactions to the Safe sex! LOL, you know it! Certain fans are probably thinking just what the pictures say!!! If Berg is Jaded what am I? I'm and x-Lumi turned EJami with a strong preferrence for Safe...Hey! what can I say, I just go for the hot sex scenes...cause "substance" is not something I'm gonna get from watching Daze!
Now THIS episode was a snooze-fest with not a single s/l worth watching. Instead tonight I'll re-read Prevuze and chuckle at the great prevuisms like: "But he stayed married to you," says Victor, "So I have to believe happiness isn't what Bo is after."
The following is a testament to DAYS going green, saving paper, recycling scripts.
Melanie snaps out of her dream as Nathan comes up to her table. She promises him the best date of his life…
Where, oh where have we seen something like this before? One person dating another while fantasizing about a third? Now when was that? A decade ago? Five years ago?
Oh yeah! It was about five minutes ago when Chloe promised Lucas to be the best wife of his life and then did nothing but daydream about Daniel. That all turned out really well, didn’t it?
Once the ruckus is over and they drag her out screaming, the show continues.
Even when the show is a snooze-fest we can always depend on the various Sami-sections to liven things up. And I cracked up at the series of Safe pictures especially the Neutral section.
Bless you Prevuze!
Two unwatchable episodes in a row!! Has Daze forgotten this is sweeps-do or die for them? Wayyyy too much Rafe! Oh well, a big THANK YOU to Prevuze for taking the bullets for us each day. It seems to me that Daze has made it their goal to make every female on this show a slut. Shame, shame!!!
Phillip comes up to her and gets cute, "You can't improve perfection."
With the face transplant, Phillip should have also opted for Lasik surgery.
“He found happiness with two other women."
"But he stayed married to you," says Victor, "So I have to believe happiness isn't what Bo is after."
That certainly does beg the question – exactly what is Bo after?
When he hears Nicole mention it, that's Rafe's signal to take it out of his pocket and stare at it.
Since Rafe, the rocket scientist, has grabbed Sydney’s teething ring for DNA evidence, it would probably be wise to stick it in a plastic bag to keep this DNA off it. OK, I admit that I haven't actually seen Rafe abscond with the teething ring. Did he use rubber gloves?
Nicole explodes and wonders why everyone is so concerned about Mia.
Maybe it’s because Mia is only 16 years old and is being yanked around from both Chad and her.
Arianna gets on his case for kicking his wife and child out.
Rafe has already told Arianna that he suspects that Nicole stole Sami’s baby so this little tirade of hers doesn’t make a bit of sense. In the end, EJ will have plenty of justification for throwing Nicole out, and Arianna knows it.
Sami says she doesn't get EJ. Why can't you just be happy with Sydney and her mother.
Oh the irony, oh the drama, oh the foreshadowing! Those DOOL writers are ever soooo clever. They would never pass up the opportunity to be so outrageously obvious.
I’m so happy that the typing fingers of Prevuze weren’t injured in the great Ejami/Lumi/Safe confrontation. Prevuze even managed to interview viewers for a series of very funny pictures. Before his Meredith smack-to-the-head disappearance, Rafe and Sami made a mutual agreement to break things off. Since she so quickly jumped back into the sack with Rafe, Sami is now officially the first dictionary definition for the word “easy” so I give the Glee Club more than an even chance at scoring with her.
Prevuze thanks for playing in pain and giving us a stellar Hump Day recap!!!
I'm an x-Lumi turned EJami with a strong preferrence for Safe...
Wow. I bet if you look up the word 'conflicted' in the dictionary that's the definition you get.
Phillip comes up to her and gets cute, "You can't improve perfection."
With the face transplant, Phillip should have also opted for Lasik surgery.
Oooo... Leslie will be getting the season's first game misconduct for that one.
I admit that I haven't actually seen Rafe abscond with the teething ring. Did he use rubber gloves?
Only when he was having sex with Sami. You never can be too careful about protection with as many guys as Sami has been "in love" with. OK. I know. I'll be joining you in the penalty box shortly.
Rafe has already told Arianna that he suspects that Nicole stole Sami’s baby so this little tirade of hers doesn’t make a bit of sense. In the end, EJ will have plenty of justification for throwing Nicole out, and Arianna knows it.
According to the Guy Manual, this is not exactly the first time a woman has withheld information from a man just so she can verbally slice him up. I was shocked... shocked I tell you... to find out it may actually be a common occurrence. You learn something new every day.
Anonymous #2 and Betyar both fail DROOL 101:
I cant believe the fed get carly already
Carly's arrest is just a way to get more friction going for Bope.
Actually, Betyar is half right - this will cause some Bope friction. But not because of an "arrest." I'm willing to bet that those are not federal agents - they're Alamain stooges sent to grab Carly and return her to Auntie Viv.
My prediction - Bo will use the new pair he has found to challenge the "federal agents" and figure out that they're not really cops at which point he'll "rescue" Carly and then he'll determine that he needs to go into hiding with her. That's what will create the Ho & Dope friction (and give us viewers a couple or 3 more weeks of Carly flashbacks to murdering Lawrence leading to Bo having to comfort her).
DROOL is nothing, if not predictable.
Prevuze, thanks for the great audience pictures, though I'm sorta' with Berg - one of the sections should have been "ZZZZZZZZZZ", but it's the Safe section that would have fallen asleep watching that chemistry-less couple and Rafe's neaderthal stare. And, as always, thanks for taking another one for the team, Prevuze!
Bo tells Carly about Zack. Really? Since the incident involved Ho and Dope didn't it make international headlines??
Rafe mumbles, "We'll see about that, Nicole." Fortunately Nicole is suffering from temporary deafness and doesn't hear him. You missed an opportunity to use one of my favorite Prevuisms here, Prevuze - He took out a bullhorn and said...
I almost had a coffee spit-take with "Ciara had another nightmare. That's her second one tonight." "And how many times has she seen you tonight?" "Two."
HAHAHAHAHA
Loved the series of audience pictures. If Prevuze is taking requests I'd like to see that as a recurring series, too.
Thank you for the mid-week cheer everyone! :D

That's an interesting theory and sooooo DOOL. Silly me - I thought the FBI connection would be an occasion for Rafe the macho leather jacket clad ex-FBI dude to bond with doctor in distress mouth-to-mouth resusitation dudette Carly. There's a movement out in cyber space for Carafe, and wine comes in a carafe. If you drink too much of the nectar of the gods, you just might pass out. For a snooze inducing guy like Rafe, I think that just might work.
Yeah, I gotta give a tip o' the cap to Wingnut myself. That theory sounds plausible and I didn't think of it at all. Of course, I have an excuse. The brain atrophies watching DOOL. It's really hard to watch the show and think at the same time. Really hard. Really.
Wingnut you are indeed the master of Drool. I hadn't thought of that but it does make perfect Salem Sense.
Way, way, way too much Rafe and his dimbulb sister.
Melanie needs to learn from Chloe and follow her heart and not her head because Nathan's just going to end up hurt.
Hilarious caps, especially of the men's glee club. These writers aren't doing Sami any favors, I think she's slept with more men than Nicole has since she's returned.
Its true and people call Nicole the Ho!LOL
Ha, Applecheeks! Your mention of Chloedan made me realize out of sight out of mind. Mercifully since they hadn't been on-screen in awhile I totally forgot they existed! (Self-preservation maybe?) Anyway, their lack of recent airtime will be something we can add to our upcoming Thanksgiving blessings.
Ah Berg. That would be the apathetic section.
Hope says she had hoped to find Bo at least a little helpless and despondent over their situation,
That seems a bit... sad and desperate. What is he supposed to do; wail and sob into the night? Man, I would love to see that.
that's Rafe's signal to take it out of his pocket and stare at it.
lol. But stealing from babies? How far we have fallen.
Nicole explodes and wonders why everyone is so concerned about Mia.
Who should they show more concern over than some teenage waif? Her?
"which is almost always a mistake. She has a way of playing the innocent victim and in reality was a predator.
It really seems like Victor dislikes all women except Caroline and Hope, for whatever reason.
"You like to take care of women in trouble? What about your wife?"
Oh snap! In your face, Elvis!!
"There is only one person who ever really cared about me and loved me."
I am still lost by this Brady-Nicole love. Just right out of the blue.
"You remind me a bit of Rafe. You're full of righteous indignation."
I guess when you're running a major crime syndicate, everyone is full of righteous indignation.
"Yeah, there is a murderer living in my house.
And she's boarding with Victor? Hah!
So the two officers just waltzed into the commissioners house, without so much as identifying who they work for exactly?
The Brady Nicole love thing isn't really from out of the blue. Nicole and Brady were an item a long time ago, before Nicole was married to Victor, I think even before she was married to Lucas. I think that may be what broke them up, or was that what broke up Nicole and Eric? No, wait. Chloe is what broke up Nicole and Brady. That's why Nicole had Chloe infected with the flesh eating bacteria, which is what spawned the whole "I can't marry until my scars heal!" mess. I don't really want to see a Brady Nicole pairing though. What's funny is, I can remember all that but not why Carly and Victor were together...Strange
LUMI FOREVER!!!!
So the two officers just waltzed into the commissioners house, without so much as identifying who they work for exactly?
They rambled off some kind of bureau's name and flashed a badge, but I forget who they said they represented. Of course it could have been a Cap'n Billy's Whiz Bang decoder badge for all we know.
I can remember all that but not why Carly and Victor were together.
As I recall:
Victor hired Dr. Carly to look after him during one of his "invalid" periods and fell for her.
Carly & Bo had a thing going, but due to some usual DAYS created nonsense, Carly thought Bo still yearned for Hope (or loved someone else or something) so she decided to marry Victor when he asked her.
Hi-jinks followed including Victor's attempt to kill Barly in an elevator. Finally Carly divorced/annuled the marriage and she & Bo ran off to Mexico for one of those outlandish on-location adventures. During that s/l she and Bo "married" each other on the beach "in the eyes of God".
Anon, thanks. I knew some of that, but I thought Brady hated Nicole (like everyone else) when he left to wherever with Chloe, so it seems so out of the blue. It must residual confusion from Chloe & Lucas' and later Daniel's sudden soulmates syndrome.
Victor should stop marrying woman less than twice his age, with an appetite for murder.
Of course it could have been a Cap'n Billy's Whiz Bang decoder badge for all we know.
And I bet Bo still would have stood there, scratching his head in confusion.
About Victor and Carly - you're lucky to have a true Carly & Bo fan here :)
Carly and Bo had feelings for each other. Isabella hired Carly to help Victor with his therapy after the stroke. He fell for her. He knew she loved Bo and Bo loved her, though both of them would not admit their feelings.
Victor proposed to Carly and Bo didn't say anything when she asked whether they had a chance.
Then, Bo had an accident and ended up in the hospital. He finally decided to do something about it and wrote Carly a letter begging her not to marry Victor. But Victor switched the letter and faked another one. So both C&B thought they had no future together.
Carly married Victor and few weeks /months later, Carly suspected Victor was ill again as he was so secretive. Isabella and her broke into his safe and she found the copies of the letters and later she contacted the forger, got the real letters and ran to Bo.
Unfortunately, Bo was sick (as he drunk the virus that Emmy - a friend of his who was in love with him - intended for Carly) and rejected Carly again. She later found out about the virus and they got together. But Bo was dying. Victor promised Carly to get her the antidote if she'd stay with him and leave Bo. She promised he wouldn't leave him .. well, it's a really long story. The bottom line is, Carly did not manipulate Victor into marrying her, he was the manipulator there.
He also tried to kill Bo, but hurt Carly instead.
