Rogue

Rafe and Nicole stand in the rumpus room of the DiMera mansion. Rafe threatens to call EJ or Sami and get everyone together for a big revealing confab. He takes out his phone but Nicole stops him.

Sami bumps into EJ in the park.

As the Ejamis watch, they see the chemistry, the attraction, the unbridled passion fighting to come to the surface. They are certain it's all Sami can do to keep from grabbing him as she screams, "Take me!"

As the Lumis watch, they feel the hatred, the disgust, the unbridled contempt. They are certain it's all Sami can do to keep from grabbing him by the throat and slowly choking him to death as she screams, "Take that!"

They share small talk. Sydney's crying interrupts. Sami instinctively reaches for her in the stroller, but EJ stops her like she's heading for the kid with a chainsaw.

Victor comes into the room where Brady is working and remembers telling Arianna to get out of Brady's life. He invites Brady to the pub for lunch but Brady declines. He tells Victor he and Arianna broke up.

Victor is soooo, broken up, "I'm sorry to hear that."

Brady sees through it, "No you're not."

Melanie invites Phillip in. He tells her he came by to apologize.

Ciara comes downstairs and has as Dean flicks his Bic. Ciara flashes back to her Bic-flickin' moment when she was in captivity and gets nervous. Hope scoops her up, "What is it, sweetheart?"

Nicole goes for her purse and starts to make a call. Rafe grabs her phone and sticks it in his shirt pocket. That does it. Rafe decides to take her to see Sister Teresa.

"You can't," says Nicole, "The last time I was in the head sister's office I got a whole week of detention."

Hope wants to know what's upsetting Ciara. Ciara whispers, "It's him. The Bic-flickin' Zippo zombie."

Melanie is skeptical, "I can accept you're sorry, but what for? That I'm humiliated, or my reputation is destroyed or that you lost Stephanie?"

"I'm sorry I doubted you."

Victor insists he had no problem with Arianna. He gets philosophical and tells Brady maybe it's for the best, "She has poor judgment. She let you get away." Brady has had enough, and leaves.

Arianna is at the Java Café calling Rafe. She leaves a message, "I need a big brother right now."

Sami tells EJ about taking care of Sydney while Nicole was at her place. EJ questions Nicole's actions and then Sami tells him Rafe was there when she got back. Sami asks, "Did she ever talk to you about Rafe?"

EJ asks, "Why would she ever talk to me about Rafe?"

"When I walked in," says Sami, "She was giving Rafe hell."

Hope puts Ciara down and faces Dean. She watches him play with his Zippo. Dean turns creepy, "What are you looking at?"

Hope suggests going to the bank for the money. Dean questions that, "Why? I thought she was going to wire it."

"Wiring money takes too long. Besides, if we go in person and make a deposit that large into your account, we get a free toaster."

The phone rings. Dean stops her from answering it and suggests they let the machine answer instead. Bo leaves a message that he will be late because he wants to talk to the witness who saw the suspect. Hope starts to hustle them out to the bank. Dean asks, "What's your hurry?"

"My toaster is on its last legs," says Hope.

EJ wonders why Nicole would be giving Rafe hell, "I thought she reserved that for me." Sami says they can't stand each other. EJ thinks Nicole sees Rafe for who he is.

"He is supportive," says Sami, "He is the best man I know."

EJ asks the big question, "Then why did you leave him?"

Rafe and Nicole arrive at the convent and sister Claire greets them. Nicole is all smiles, "Here I am, Sister Teresa, do you remember me?"

Rafe says this isn't Sister Teresa. Sister Claire goes to get Sister Teresa and Rafe and Nicole continue to snipe at each other.

Justin arrives at the pub. Bo asks if he got the money transferred. Justin says he took care of it. Bo gives him a tooth flash, "You're at Hope's beck and call."

Justin denies, "Not true."

Bo snarls, "Why couldn't you just leave it alone?"

"Because Hope needed support," says Justin, "and I couldn't deny her." Bo grits and rants. Justin tells him he screwed up, "But thank God there was a happy ending. You took a huge risk when you went rogue with that ransom money."

Victor walks in as they fight. He asks what all the yelling is about.

Justin gets up to leave, "I'll let the commissioner answer that."

Hope says she's in a hurry to get Dean the reward money.

Dean spirals farther into the abyss of creepdom, "I'm calling the shots now, detective."

Hope shields Ciara and whimpers, "She's already scared, please..."

Dean sneers, "Do what I say or she'll be dead."

Sami tells EJ she doesn't owe him any answers, "Rafe and I broke up because we had issues."

EJ tees off, "He's a jackass, Samantha. I can't believe you were going to let him be a father to my daughter. I never got to hold her or tell her how much I loved her."

Sami tries to back him down a notch, "You can't let your anger consume you." EJ asks her to put herself in his place and wonders how she would feel.

Rafe continues to badger Nicole. The door opens. A hand sticks out. A finger twitches. OMG! It must be Baker!

Dean tells Hope he wanted the money but that was shot to hell because of Bo and his cockamamie scheme. Hope swears she won't turn him in if he just goes somewhere and starts a new life. Dean screws the silencer onto his pistol. Justin knocks. Justin time.

Phillip says at first he thought Melanie put the video on the Internet, but Bo set him straight, "After that night we spent together... I should have known you wouldn't do something like that. Will you forgive me?"

"Yeah..."

"Thank you for being someone I can trust."

Sister Claire says Sister Teresa was called away unexpectedly. Nicole taunts. She tells Sister Claire Rafe hasn't been himself lately. She grabs her cell phone back from his pocket and smiles, "Remember, Rafe, there is no shame in taking antidepressants. Adios. Caio." Nicole saunters out. Rafe gives us that cute little Neanderthal stare of his.

EJ continues to wonder how Sami would feel if her child was ripped from her arms. Brady interrupts with the standard DOOL question, "What's going on here?" EJ walks away. Brady asks if Sami is all right. She says she is and also says she's glad he showed up. "Hey," says Brady, "what are big brothers for?"

Bo don' wanna talk. So they talk. Victor tells him he did what he thought was best.

"No," says Bo, "I did what was right. But now Hope is angry."

"Hope is not herself," says Victor.

"Actually, you're wrong," says Bo, "'Angry' pretty much defines what Hope is. The bottom line is that she decided unilaterally officer Hartman deserved the reward even though it's against policy. I could get fired for this."

Victor says, "Ignore the policy if That's what it takes to save your marriage."

Dean tells Hope to get rid of Justin or Ciara is dead. Hope goes to the door. Justin moves forward and is greeted by the door being shoved into his face. He tells Hope the reward money has been transferred.

"There goes my free toaster," says Hope. She brushes him off. Oh, so perceptive Justin wonders if she's trying to get rid of him.

Brady and Sami are at the Java Café. Brady has filled her in on his situation with Arianna, "Things just don't add up."

"When did you learn to add?"

Rafe meets Arianna in the park. Big hugs. She's upset but just wants to talk about Rafe and Nicole. Rafe tells her Nicole slipped through his fingers again.

Nicole arrives back at the mansion. Stefano comes downstairs and watches as she goes into the rumpus room. We flash back to Nicole and Rafe leaving earlier. Just in case you missed it. Stefano stares.

Inside, EJ and Nicole smooch. He thinks she seems rattled. Nicole denies it. She wants to get away and wonders if the honeymoon to Paris will ever happen. EJ thinks she might want to get away from something or someone.

Hope gives Justin the bum's rush. She goes back inside and Dean sneers, "You have a choice. Either we go for a ride, or I leave the two of you here. Dead."

"Sounds like a good day for a drive to me," says Hope.

Suddenly, Justin drops in out of nowhere. He lands on Dean and they have a rolling-across-the-floor episode.

EJ tells Nicole about meeting Sami and says he learned of her run in with Rafe. He questions Nicole for letting Sami take Sydney. He's upset that she would befriend Samantha. Nicole vows that her friendship with Sami is at an end if that's what EJ wants. He wants to know what Nicole and Rafe are fighting about.

Rafe fills Arianna in on the convent kerfuffle.

Bo snorts, "OK. So I'll just throw out the book and head for the unemployment line."

Victor says, "That's better than throwing out your marriage."

"Not if you're married to Hope."

Justin and Dean struggle. Hope runs over to her purse and grabs her gun. She turns and points it at the entangled pair.

Hope fires. Halfway across the globe in Bora Bora, Dr. Kayla Johnson, on a humanitarian mission, tends to a sick child. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a bullet whizzes into her makeshift medical tent. Kayla drops like an imploded building.

Phillip pours it on, "We are kindred spirits. We can trust each other. You're a great friend. It just took me a long time to realize that."

"You're horny again aren't you?"

"Bingo."

Rafe says he can't tell Sami any of this until he has proof. He vows to do whatever it takes to find out what Nicole did.

Nicole says she was fighting with Rafe because he's a world class jerk. EJ gets a call and says they will talk later. He leaves. Nicole starts to pour a drink but Stefano comes in and stops her, "You know, Nicole, all things considered you had a pretty good day, what with Sister Teresa being called away unexpectedly."

Nicole gasps, "You set that up?"

Stefano is indignant, "What? Me? Manipulate a nun? Bite your tongue, woman. However, Sister Teresa won't' be coming back for the foreseeable future, so you can relax. Life is beautiful. Now only you and I know your secret."

Brady asks about the rough time Sami has been having. "At least," says Sami, "Rafe was (say it with her) there for me during the hardest time of my life."

Brady asks, "You mean when Grace died?"

"No," says Sami, "When I had to endure that dog picture hanging in my living room."

Bo gets off the phone and tells Victor the witness didn't pan out. Victor leaves. On his way out he suggests Bo go talk to Hope, "Be contrite as hell. Fall on your sword." Bo sits at the table alone and stares. He doesn't have a sword, so he falls on his dinner knife instead.

Dean and Justin continue to roll across the floor as girly Hope cowers and watches. We hear the telltale zip of a gun with a silencer firing. Suddenly, the two men stop and just lie there still and lifeless. Apparently, the bullet got both of them or they rolled themselves to death.
