I Don't Do Tea Parties
Satellite Update: This is the show that fed yesterday, and will air in the US today. Our satellite equipment, unlike most characters on DOOL, did not return from the dead. His Royal Highness Norris, the Satellite Guru, has been summoned. Unfortunately, Norris is currently at a Bentley-Rolls Royce-Lamborghini-Harley Owners convention in Aruba. It's a very small convention (In fact the only other person in the world who owns all those vehicles is Jay Leno). So Norris will be back in town late Thursday and we've scheduled his magnificence to come out and look at our dish on Friday. In the meantime, we'll try to keep you as up to date as possible with the action in Salem. Which means you'll probably be getting recaps as blank as the expression on Rafe's face.
Victor springs Daniel from jail. Daniel grills him about what he knows about Kate's involvement.
Maggie comes into Chloe's room and announces, "I have good news!" Translation: the gossip-monger has arrived.
Bo and Hope don't think Daniel's case squares up. DA Woods overhears and booms, "What the hell did you just say? You wanna work the Jonas case? It's closed... Finished... time to move on. We'll have this thing wrapped up sometime around November sweeps."
Arianna, who has continuously badgered Rafe to stay away from Sami sits with him in the pub and tries to come up with a way for him to stay with her. Perhaps she's been sampling some of the stuff that was in her last delivery. Rafe no can do.
Sami calls Rafe and leaves a message saying she wants to talk, "We can't leave things the way they are. They aren't messed up enough." Several minutes later Sami hears a knock at the door. She rushes toward it, "Oh, Rafe you didn't have to knock..." She swings the door open to find Lucas. Several Lumis in the audience swoon.
Lucas snorts, "Why do I get the feeling you are not glad to see me?"
Arianna doesn't want Rafe to leave town. Rafe doesn't want to leave town. So the only logical thing he can do is leave town.
Daniel is hot to prove Kate perpetrated this foul deed. He wants to scoot over to the hospital to protect Chloe. Victor thinks Kate wouldn't do anything to harm Chloe in public. He refuses to cooperate with Daniel.
Maggie tells Kate she overheard the nurses talking (in some circles, this is called eavesdropping) and found out Chloe spoke. "I can't tell you how that makes me feel," says the underwhelmed Kate. Lexie comes in. Chloe immediately takes a turn for the worse.
Victor insists Chloe will be fine, but says he can't help Daniel go after Kate. Daniel wonders what's up with that. Victor gives him a wry smile. "Ahhh...," says Daniel, "I get it. You're looking to get back in the saddle."
Lucas wonders whom Sami was expecting. He ignores her rambling explanation and launches into a chain of "expletives deleted" over unfaithful Chloe. Sami asks him if he wants to have a tea party with Allie.
"I don't do tea parties," says Lucas, "I'm a man."
"You don't do squat," says Sami, "and you just insulted men everywhere." So instead we let the kid rot in the other room while Sami and Lucas continue arguing.
Lucas grills her about whom she thought was at the door. He guesses it was Rafe, "So, I'm guessing things aren't going well with you and him."
Rafe asks if Arianna is going to tell Sami the truth, "You know you can't and neither can I."
Lexie says, "Chloe just had a spike in brain activity."
"That's great news," says Maggie, "She barely had brain activity before she was in the coma."
"It might be a prelude to her entire system shutting down," says Lexie.
"Chloe never did handle brain activity well," says Kate.
DA Woods says the evidence is solid against Daniel, "It's a slam dunk." Bo has doubts about that. The DA wonders if Bo's family connections have something to do with his conflict of interest. He says Bo won't be involved in the investigation.
"OMG," gasps Hope, "You mean we actually have a chance of solving the case?"
Sami and Lucas bicker. Just like old times. Sami folds and tells him about Emily's death. Then she shows him the letter, which has somehow miraculously become un-wadded. Lucas reads and finds out Emily and Rafe had a big fight and Emily found out something that could ruin his career. Lucas gets a rare clue, "Sami! He killed her!"
"That is Meredith's interpretation," says Sami, "But she was upset and has no facts to back it up."
Lucas don' need no stinkin' facts, "I think it's possible that Rafe killed his fiancée."Arianna reminds Rafe Sami kept a huge secret from EJ. "She's not in love with him," says Rafe.
INCOMING!
Rotten tomatoes pelt the stage as the gals in the Ejami section hurl everything they can get their hands on and boo. The show continues once the theater attendants restore order and decorum.
"She's in love with you," says Arianna.
"Sometimes that's not enough," says Rafe.
Daniel figures Victor is trying to protect Phillip. Victor says they have to concentrate on Daniel and focus on his defense. Daniel just wants to keep Chloe alive. Counting everyone else in the world, that makes one who wants to keep her alive.
Bo says he is commissioner and will have to be involved in Daniel's case. The DA claims he has authority to have Bo step aside. Woods thinks Bo has a history of being biased. They trade insults. Woods orders him off the case. He glares at Hope, "That means both of you. If either of you disobey the order, I'll have you suspended."
Lucas wants to know how Rafe reacted when Sami confronted him. "He was silent about it," says Sami, "He just gave me a blank stare."
"That's Rafe all right," says Lucas. He gloats over the fact that Rafe walked out on her.
Arianna rambles on about Rafe's ability to get over things, "You moved on after the thing with Emily. You got a great job at the FBI. I became a two-bit bar wench.
"You did what you did," says Rafe, "I did what I did."
"How did you get to be so perceptive," asks Arianna.
"Emily died because of all of it," says Rafe, "We can't make it go away and we can never talk about it."
"Then why are we talking about it," asks Arianna.
Over at the hospital, Maxine catches Daniel sneaking into Chloe's room. She stops him and Daniel begs her to let him in. Maxine stands her ground and gives him an update on Chloe's condition. Daniel insists he's going in to save her.
DA Woods comes into the pub to see Kate. He tells her about Victor springing Daniel.
Bo and Hope arrive at the Kiriakis mansion. Victor tells them he believes Daniel is innocent and expects Bo to keep the case from going to trial.
We get a dose of the gospel according to Lucas, "Believe the man you're in love with and it's a road straight to hell."
"I know," says Sami, "I believed you back in the day and that led straight to hell."
Lucas spews more advice, "Don't let your love for Rafe blind you for who he really is."
Daniel begs. Maxine folds like the 1986 Red Sox and walks away. Daniel heads inside.
Kate is indignant about Daniel's release. DA Woods insists he will prove Daniel is guilty. He says he'll see to it himself Daniel goes back to jail. "In other words," says Kate, "Since Daniel is really innocent, you're as inept as the SPD."
Victor wants Bo to put family first.
Lexie and a cop stop Daniel from going into Chloe's room. Lexie sends him home dragging his tail between his legs.
Sami defends Rafe. Lucas says, "When you follow your instincts instead of logic you usually get in trouble."
"Logic," says Sami, "Is the last refuge of a puny mind."
Lucas asks, "Do you want your kids living with a murderer?"
"They lived with you, so they've lived with an attempted murderer."
Rafe walks in and we have the big three-way staredown.
Maybe instead of hanging out with the likes of Lucas, Rafe and EJ, who all have had murderous tendencies, it would be easier for her to hook up with a serial killer. That way she could just stick with one guy and avoid the messy break-ups.
Lucas has gone in to get Allie. He comes out with her, gives Sami a nasty parting shot and leaves. "I guess we know what that was all about," says Rafe.
"Yeah," says Sami, "He always gets really nasty when it's his turn to watch the kids."
Bo and Hope tell Victor Daniel is convinced Kate set him up. Bo asks, "How would you feel about that?"
Victor says, "I'm sure Phillip would be sad to see his mother in prison but if that's where she belongs..."
Bo interrupts, "So you're saying we should get the evidence against Kate, free the doc and keep your hands clean."
Maggie finds Allie and Lucas in the park. Lucas dumps Allie on a playmate. He tells Maggie she can just keep walking. He doesn't want to have a conversation with a liar, "I know everything. You told me they had an affair, then I got amnesia and then you lied to my face. How could you do that to me?"
"Because you're dumb enough to buy all of it," says Maggie.
Rafe asks if Lucas is her go-to guy for advice since she showed him the letter. Sami deflects the question and asks if Rafe got her message. He says no. He says he came to see her because they have unfinished business.
Maggie admits lying but says that's because she saw how much it hurt Lucas when she told him about the affair the first time. Lucas fires her as his AA sponsor, "Stay the hell away from me." He chases her off crying. Maggie cries, too.
Lexie is on the phone with Abe planning to take Theo to the carnival. Daniel finds her and says he needs her help.
Kate finds Lucas elsewhere in the park, "I just saw Maggie. She brushed by me like she didn't see me."
"To hell with Maggie," growls Lucas, "She knew about Daniel and Chloe and didn't say anything to me. And you knew too!" Kate says she just had suspicions and couldn't say anything based on that.
"Everyone but me knew and made me look like an idiot," says Lucas.
"You ought to be used to that by now," says Kate. She tells him Daniel is out on bail. Lucas blows his stack. Kate tries to calm him down. She tells him she met with the DA, who will change the charges to capital murder if Chloe dies.
Victor has a meltdown when he finds out the DA ordered Bo off the case, "That little cockroach." Victor says he wants action and says he has someone coming who can help the family. Justin walks in.
Sami says Lucas told her to stay away from Rafe, but she can't, "I love you and I know you love me. But we have to be honest with each other. So you have to tell me what happened with Emily. If you do, I will believe you and there won't be any more questions. So... can you tell me that? Deal... or no deal? "

Quick question, are they filiming Lucas
A. Through a Barbara Walters filter (using soft lighting techniques)?
B. Is he always just blurry?
C. I just need another cup of coffee?
D. All of the above
I see his porn hair has still not gone away. Someone call Ron Jeremy.
"as blank as the expression on Rafe's face."
And here I thought it was just me who noticed that. Rafe makes Austin look intelligent.

I'm afraid the image blurriness relates to the technical problems we are currently having with our equipment, although Lucas always looks a little blurry due to the permanent fog he walks around in. You may, however go ahead and have another cup of coffee.
Arianna, who has continuously badgered Rafe to stay away from Sami sits with him in the pub and tries to come up with a way for him to stay with her. Perhaps she's been sampling some of the stuff that was in her last delivery.
Coke, Coke in a Pepsi bottle, Coke, Coke in a Pepsi bottle, Coke– Arianna can’t make up her mind.
Victor thinks Kate wouldn't do anything to harm Chloe in public.
…and serving poisoned hors d’oeuvres and brownies to Chloe while she is filming a television spot somehow does not translate into Kate harming Chloe in public? Geez!
"I don't do tea parties," says Lucas, "I'm a man."
"You don't do squat," says Sami, "and you just insulted men everywhere."
Sad but ever so true.
Lexie says, "Chloe just had a spike in brain activity."
"That's great news," says Maggie, "She barely had brain activity before she was in the coma."
Sad but ever so true part deux. Of all the Salem nut jobs, Chloe is by far the most vapid character on DOOL. She’s far more interesting while in a coma.
Then she shows him the letter, which has somehow miraculously become un-wadded.
To save time, Sami needs to scan the letter and add it as attachment to an e-mail to be sent to all the addresses she has stored in her address book. If Sami really loves Rafe as much as she says she does, she shouldn’t be sharing that letter with everyone who walks through her door. How can she defend her relationship with Rafe after someone has read the letter?
Daniel begs. Maxine folds like the 1986 Red Sox and walks away.
Bill Buckner arrives and gives Prevuze the heave ho sending Prevuze to the showers.
Lucas asks, "Do you want your kids living with a murderer?"
"They lived with you, so they've lived with an attempted murderer."
Prevuze once again points out that the DOOL writers suffer from short term memory loss. How much more pompous can Lucas get?
Apparently, the DA is now getting all the lines written for Mayor Morono before it was decided to kill him off. Is the DA going to be on Victor’s payroll? Bulldog – Daniel the horny goat – very good! Prevuze the censored link was hysterical and the picture with Lucas’ take of Rafe was spot on! If Rafe could be bottled, science would have a sure fire cure for insomnia.
Maggie tells Kate she overheard the nurses talking (in some circles, this is called eavesdropping) and found out Chloe spoke.
Chloe breathed, “Daniel” when she was completely alone. Who heard her? And if they could hear that, why haven’t they heard the half-dozen “confessions” Kate has made at Chloe’s bedside?? TLT
"Logic," says Sami, "Is the last refuge of a puny mind."
What a brilliant observation! Someone should put that on a t-shirt or something. LOLOLOL
“They lived with you, so they've lived with an attempted murderer."
Ah, don’t forget Franco! Lucas did succeed in killing him.
Sami should just hook up with a serial killer and avoid the messy break-ups. LOLOL Prevuze, the best marriage counselor on the Internet®
INCOMING!
Another great Prevuze recap. More fabulous pictures (the Salem High mascot – hilarious Bulldog!). Before, during or after an episode, they are always a welcome treat.
Heck, yeah! I don't care if Prevuze is recapping yesterday's (I don't remember it anyway), today's (I'll be snoozing thru it) or tomorrow's, I just have to have my morning dose of snark.
Before I get to today's, my soap mag reports Vivian and Lawrence are coming back. Let's get Ivan back, too!
How could you do that to me?" "Because you're dumb enough to buy all of it," says Maggie. Which also could have been EJ to Sami, EJ to Nicole, Lucas to Kate....
So instead we let the kid rot in the other room while Sami and Lucas continue arguing. Lumi - the best parents in town.
Berg - I see his porn hair has still not gone away. and Anon - Rafe makes Austin look intelligent Both made me LOL.
Love the censored link and the Lumi's swooning. Welcome back, Prevuze! :D
Much to my chagrin, Maxine is folding like the 2009 Red Sox as well.
Much to my chagrin, Maxine is folding like the 2009 Red Sox as well.
But the 2009 Red Sox have yet to commit the unpardonable sin. Poor Bill Buckner... A solid twenty year major league career ruined by a one-second slip up.

whenever lucas disowns someone, like his mother, it never sticks. he has disowned her so many times and then taken her back, its pretty much garunteed that this one wont either
Jessi: you can see how the "open" HTML tags look below the "Leave Your Comment" box. That's what you put at the beginning of the phrase you want to bold or italicize or put in a link others can follow (which is what the "a" is for as I just learned from the hubby).
To "close" the tag: when you get to the end of the phrase you are formatting, you use the same tag and put a backslash (/) in front of the letter. For example, closing the italic HTML would look like:
< /i >.
You don't put those spaces in the tag. I just put them there so it would show up. If I didn't, the tag would disappear and I'd get the error message that my "closed tag" didn't have an open one. ;-)
Clear as mud?
(See how I used that "bold" tag? lololol)
if this is in italics then i did it. thx applecheeks
Lucas snorts, "Why do I get the feeling you are not glad to see me?"
What - no pencil in her pocket???

Understood, but doing it this way takes 2-3 times longer. Not sustainable.
