Nicole bounces downstairs, fumbles around and bumps into EJ. He asks, "Going somewhere in a hurry?"
Sami wakes up and stretches. She gets up and Rafe hands her a cup of coffee. She thanks him for not calling his boss. Rafe is silent. Sami asks, "Are you keeping something from me?" Rafe comes clean and admits he swiped part of her Hello Kitty collection.
Chloe digs into her purse to look for money to pay her bill. Brady steps up and says, "This should cover it."
Chloe turns, "Brady! OMG! You can't see me until my emotional scars heal! "
Brady says, "Oh, in that case I'll make an appointment to drop in on you during the next ice age."
Melanie finds a packet of notepaper and discovers it matches the threatening note from the creep, "NICK!" Nutso Nick swings the door open and stands there breathing heavy with that Freddy Krueger look on his face.
The suspect board! It now has more names than the Viet Nam Memorial! We pan to an ominous scribbling down in its corner, "Tall Man." Bo and Hope decide since the Tall Man was there and witnessed the murder it might be a good thing to find out who he is. They don't teach intuitive skills like that at the police academy, you know. You have to be born with stuff like that.
Franken-Nick wonders what Melanie was looking at.
The Wonder Years episode continues. Kevin and Winnie bicker. She rants, "You told your boss! How could you do this to me — Agent Backstabber! Rafe tries to calm the storm. He tells her he didn't say she was pregnant. He says he called to check up on her and see if she was telling the truth. Sami bounces off the walls, "I told you the truth! I might as well never say anything to you again!"
Rafe has a lucid thought, "Can I get that in writing?" Just because Sami's meltdown is not yet total, he tells her Nicole is out on bail and living at the DiMeras.
There will be a small delay in the posting. Due to Sami's reaction my TV exploded and I have to clean up the mess...
Nicole tells EJ she is off for a prenatal checkup. Domestic EJ says he wants to go with her and Ozzie and Harriet head out the door.
Brady says, "I've been clean for a year. In fact, it's almost time for another bath. " Chloe wants to know why he came back to Salem. "I came back to see you."
Melanie says she doesn't like Dracu-Nick's tone. She says she was just daydreaming and tells him to call Maggie. She has a headache and wants to go lie down. Nick stops her, "I can tell something's wrong."
"What tipped you off," asks Melanie.
"The blood vessel that just exploded in your head."
Daniel meets Nicole and EJ. He asks the standard baby questions and has her lie back.
Melanie stalls and dodges. Then... three... two... one... BLAST OFF! "NOTHING IS WRONG ASIDE FROM THE FACT I'M LIVING WITH AN INSANE PERSON!"
"Good," says Nick, "It's nice to have something in common." She confronts him with the note.
Hope thinks Nicole's statement might pan out.
Melanie rants, "It was you, wasn't it?"
Nick admits it, "It was me."
Chloe thinks Brady came back for other reasons. Brady says he actually wanted to avoid her but there she was. She starts to leave. He stops her and tells her he mainly came back to sort out what happened in their marriage. Chloe says she has already figured it out, "I was self absorbed and you got into drugs. It wasn't meant to be." Chloe says she has gotten past the anger, but Brady says he hasn't gotten past the guilt.
Sami is totally unhinged. She panics and tries to call Marlena. Rafe struggles with her and yanks the phone away. He tells her Nicole is no longer the #1 suspect. "What if they are wrong," shrieks Sami, "What if my son is living with a murderer?"
"I don't know about your son," says Rafe, "But given the choice, I'd rather live with the Boston Strangler than a nut like you."
Daniel thinks everything is fine with Nicole and Junior-Junior #1. He tells them her next appointment will be an ultrasound and they have to decide if they want to know the baby's sex.
Hope has apparently dialed 1-800-INSTA-SNITCH and found out the caretaker is Ray Jackson, "He was at the cemetery that night stealing headstones. Apparently the marble is worth big money on the black market."
Bo goes into action, "I'll put out an APB. Whatever that is."
Nick says he had his reasons for writing the notes and insists he cares for Melanie. She has a meltdown and says she knows he did it because he thinks he's in love with her. She tells him Max blabbed about that, "You were trying to scare me into loving you?" Nick says he did it to protect her.
Nicole and EJ ask each other if they want to know Junior-Junior #1's sex. Daniel comes back. EJ says he doesn't want to know. "I believe in 'Be Prepared,'" says Nicole, "I'm partial to the Boy Scouts. And very popular with them, too. " They decide to wait. Translation: the writers haven't decided yet. EJ gets a call and leaves.
Daniel sits down beside Nicole, "Do you have any questions?"
Nicole says, "Actually, I do..."
Daniel says, "Shoot."
Nicole asks, "Sex..."
"It wasn't your fault," says Brady, "I'll have to live with the consequences of what I did for all the Days Of Our Lives. I'm myself again, but I lost the one person I love most in the world." Chloe continues to rag on herself for not helping him. "This is amazing," says Brady, "We've reached a new level of maturity. Second grade." They forgive each other. Hugs.
Melanie rants. Nick insists he was trying to protect her. He says he was there and saw everything. Melanie wants the truth, "Did you kill my father?"
Flashback. Nick gives his evil Freddy K smile, "No, Melanie, you did. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! "
Sami continues to pitch a fit.
Daniel explains sex to Nicole and tells her it will be OK to romp around while she is pregnant. EJ comes back and Daniel leaves. EJ follows, "Doctor, I have one more question. Is it safe to have sex?"
"Apparently not with you," says Daniel.
Bo and Hope come into the Cheatin' Heart and just happen to find sleazy ole Caretaker Ray. They go up to him and tell him they have a few questions. They haul him over to a corner table and pull out the rubber hoses.
Melanie huffs, "I killed my father! NO! This isn't happening." She begs Nick to tell her what happened. Nick weaves a tale. He says he was worried and came there and saw her stab Trent. Then she fell and hit her head on the Willow Starke Memorial Gravestone.
"So," sobs Melanie, "I murdered my father."
Brady asks about Sami in the witness protection program. Chloe says Sami is there because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He asks if that means Chloe is with Lucas. Chloe tells him about that and asks about John. Brady tells her about his encounter with Jawn. She tells Brady John and Nicole are friends and says she has become friends with Nicole, too. Brady is so shocked he has to check to see if he's still on drugs.
More Melanie-o-drama.
Bo tells Ray they know about his side business. Ray says he has the utmost respect for the departed and was just borrowing the tombstones. They ask if he saw anyone there while he was 'borrowing' them. "Yes," he beams, "I sure did!"
Nick says Melanie can't go to the cops because they won't believe it's self defense. Melanie blubbers. She figures the cops will find out eventually. "You're right," says Nick, "They will find out eventually, but we will be gone by then. We're leaving Salem right now."
Chloe has transported herself to the hospital, where she finds Daniel, "How's Kate?"
"She's hanging in there," says Daniel.
"Wouldn't she be more comfortable lying down," asks Chloe.
Daniel tells her Kate heard her little speech and said Chloe inspired her. He gets a call and has to go. As he leaves, he turns and says, "What you did was miraculous. You had an adult moment.
Sami continues to rant against Nicole, "EJ is so good looking and has that great British accent and he could have had anyone he wants but has to get seduced by that good for nothing slut!"
Rafe finally gets a clue, "AHA! Now I see what's going on. You're still in love with EJ!"
Nicole and EJ return babbling about the baby. He moves in. They glom onto each other, and then EJ backs off, "I have to stop or I won't be able to."
Nicole asks, "And why is that a problem?"
She has him go upstairs and says she will meet him there. He leaves. Nicole asks herself, "What am I gonna wear?"
No time to think about that because Brady shows up at the door, "Hi Nicole."
Bo and Hope show Ray mugshots. He rolls through the snapshots and points out Melanie and Nick. Bo's jaw hits the table.
Melanie panics. Nick says Bo and Hope are back to fingering her as the prime suspect. Melanie says she can handle Bo and Hope. Nick says he's not sure he can. He says he gets nervous under pressure and might slip up and spill the beans, "We've got to leave now. I want to protect you. This is our only choice."
Melanie hesitates, "I don't know."
"Trust me," he urges, "Hurry. Let's go." Melanie agrees to go. The audience breaks out the champagne. She rushes upstairs to get her things. Chucky hyperventilates.

Dr. Dan the pervert man is an OB/GYN? In Prevuze II, Nicole is wearing a gown so obviously this exam is being preformed at the hospital. Why shouldn’t Nicole have to deal with the paper sheets like the rest of us? There are so many things wrong with this scenario. No health insurer is going to pay the hospital charges for an exam that can easily be done in a doctor’s office. Since this is a high risk pregnancy, Nicole should be seeing a specialist not a special skirt chasing jerk.

By the time I zap my through all the stuff I can’t bring myself to watch, I’ll have whittled down an hour episode of Daze to about 10 minutes. This year I’m going to ask Santa for a turbo charged zapper so I can cut my viewing time down to 5 minutes. Prevuze, thanks for taking another one for the troops and be sure to pick all the glass shards out of your coffee cup!

It never ceases to amaze me how fast the writers can turn a nice character into a whacko like they have Nick.
So Dr. Dan is not only the top doc for diagnosing rare diseases and doing experimental surgeries, he's also on call in the ER, is an oncologist, and an OBGYN! He must have been in school a long time for all that...
Im slightly concerned that DOOL has told everyone at Passions to come on over and pick a role....maybe "kay" and "miguel" can play Carrie and Austin....

I wasn’t able to get to Prevuze until after lunch, so I saw part of today’s episode (except for when I had to step out of the room during the Kayla Brady Parenting lecture). I must comment:
Maggie confronted Nick about his pills like she'd just found a stash of heroin for pete’s sake!
Something I've wondered about since Nick gave Melanie the ring - if it's just a friendship ring, why is she wearing it on her engagement finger??
I loved Shawn’s new assignment, the Bluesmobile and Marlena’s “act of mercy” pictures. Thanks for giving me the will to get through the rest of the day Prevuze.

Dr Prev is too much. Don't know how I feel about him. I see this is the same old crap the Ej and Niho show. I hope Niho loses this baby she is getting very obnoxious. My miracle this my miracle that. Your baby my baby stop the broken record. Poor Sami she has to go through hers with Rafe. While Niho gets pampered by Ej. Please give us a break. Niho needs to lose this baby and go after someone else. Let Ej and Sami be happy for a little while during her pregnancy.
