To quote Carly... I mean Hope... Maggie... uh... actually every character who has been on DOOL from the beginning, "I blame myself." I start wondering what I did wrong that would have messed things up.
Well, I checked everything I could on this end and it all seemed in order from my remote location, so I got the bright idea to check the listings for Monday (Labor Day in the US). Sure enough, there is no broadcast on Monday. Instead, DOOL will be preempted so NBC can show the PGA Tour Golf Playoff:Deutsche Bank Championship. Actually, if you want to know the truth, A repeat episode of the Dr. Oz show will air instead of DOOL, but I think it's because the PGA Tour Douchebag Championship follows immediately after.
I know so many of you are such avid golf fans this is actually very good news. Or not. But let's face it... a slow rolling putt moves a lot faster than a DOOL plot, so maybe you'll enjoy the change of pace.
The problem it presents for me is I did not know this was going to happen and so I did not expect to have to get up this morning and be extemporaneously witty. Not that I ever am, but it kind of comes naturally reporting on DOOL, which seems to make a habit out of shooting itself in the foot over and over, in an extemporaneously witty kind of way.

Without my caffeine yet this morning that took a few seconds, but GOOD ONE, Prevuze.
Thank goodness it's the Friday before a three-day weekend. Otherwise, without Prevuze I'd need to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.

OMG, no Prevuze. What am I going to do? How will I cope? Forget it - I can't take the pain anymore. I'm going into the Salem river to fish out that gun Sami tossed away. On second thought, I won't need the gun. That river will probably kill me.
I read Prevuze daily, but I don't always read the comments posted. However, I'm on vaca this week (at home, how exciting... but I'm a homebody) and I have lots of free time. one day's comments mentioned a big ruckus, so I went back to find out what went on. Wow, 52 comments! and some really intelligent ones! including the death penalty and the wars! pretty wide ranging topics for a commentary about DOOL. quite a bit of uproar for a conversation about a soap opera. Do some of those posters think that EJ, Sami, Rafe, etc., are real people? One has to wonder..... Perhaps Prevuze should install technology that lets only those with more than one brain cell post a comment. (Anyone with more than one brain cell is shades ahead of the residents of Salem.)
on another note, I wish I could make some text in italics, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change the type. none that I can see - and I've had a lot of caffeine. help!
With no Prevuze, I'm going back to bed. I had such a good sleep last night, in my white satin. Later I'll finish those letters I've written, never meaning to send.

OK, since I know everyone who reads this blog loves golf so much, here's a little TRUE golf story from the news a couple days ago: A golfer takes one swing, sets 12 acres of the golf course on fire and it takes 150 firefighters to put it out. Now THAT'S a bad day at the golf course. How'd he do it: CLICK HERE.
I've never had anything quite that bad happen on the golf course. I once killed a duck with an errant shot and it took me years to live down the fact that I was a "duckie murderer." And once playing in the southwest I hit a shot into some kind of protected desert plant and was told if I tried to hit it out from there I would be arrested. Truth be known I should be arrested for most of my golf shots anyway.

Oh Prevuze. Don't worry about Pookie. He/She/It is probably on a big farm on a tropical island getting a pedicure and massage. Only to discover that the whole farm is run by Shawn and Belle! AH! But never fear, I'm sure everything is going to be just fine. JUST fine.

I find myself more interested in Vivian than I thought I'd ever be since when, the late 80s? When she showed up with horrid hair and nonsensical dialogue, i figured it was just another add-on that the writers thought would distract us from the fact that their current stories bite the big hootchie goddess of ReHash in the Sky.
But given how the youngsters are acting, I'm all for the oldtimers getting their dancing shoes on and having a good old fashioned live burial!
