Love And Arsenic

Carly and Bo stand in the living room of Bo and Hope's house. Carly tells him she's falling in love with him again. Bo doesn't react much and Carly says since she didn't get an immediate reaction she knows it was a huge mistake to tell him that. She thinks she should go, but Bo tells her she can't leave.

Hope is at the Java Café on the phone with Alice. Lexie joins her. Hope hangs up and tells Lexie it's decision time for her and Bo.

Rafe, Sami and EJ are all in the rumpus room of the DiMera mansion as Rafe tells everyone who bought the hideous leopardskin boots...

KATE!

Kate is with Stefano at his jail cell. He asks her to contact Marco and tell them he wants all kinds of resources working on the hunt for Sydney, "Tell him we are looking for a woman."

Anna putters around and gushes about Sydney to Tony's picture, "I will do whatever it takes to make sure she doesn't have to grow up in the hell you did, darling."

Tony's ghost listens and reminisces, "Yes... twenty-five years trapped on a tropical island with a couple of exotic island babes. How did I ever manage to get through that?"

Chad. Will and Mia stand in Maggie's kitchen discussing their situation. Chad announces Mia has double-booked the dance. Will defends Mia but Mia doesn't say anything.

Gabi and Arianna are sitting at a table in the pub wrapping tamales. Gabi broods about the job but Arianna points out she doesn't have anything better to do with the evening. Arianna brings up Sydney and says Sami and Rafe will never give up on her.

EJ soaks in Rafe's latest news, "Well... we knew a woman was involved."

Sami yells, "She's not a woman! She's a barracuda."

"When my father finds out she's a dead woman," says EJ.

Anna works on her ransom note.

Bo is stunned, "I'm a bit taken aback." He stammers around and tells her he's filing a police report about the corpse in the bed and says he thinks Vivian is behind it. Carly wants to take back what she said.

Hope frets about Christmas at her house, "I guess I'm just jealous of Carly. She's claim jumping Bo, our marriage, everything. I don't buy the whole 'Carly as victim' scenario. She's so nasty she could hunt bears with a switch."

Lexie tells Hope about the corpse caper at the hospital the evening before. That gets Hope's attention, "Who did Carly call?"

Lexie sees where Hope is going with that one, "She called Bo."

Mia bobs and weaves, "It's complicated..." Will insists this can't be true. "It kinda is," says Mia.

Sami sits at EJ's desk while he showers her with some kind of pills. Let's Hope it's Prozac. Sami thinks this is about revenge. EJ thinks this is Kate's way of getting back to Stefano for blackmailing her into marriage. Kate returns. Sami goes completely off her rocker and attacks.

Mia says Chad misunderstood what she said to him. Chad leaves in a huff. Will isn't about to drop it, "Who do you really want to go to the dance with, Mia?"

Gabi tells Arianna she'll be leaving town in the morning to go home and isn't really looking forward to it, but also thinks there isn't much in Salem for her, "Everyone in school is going to the big dance tonight, but I'm not about to go without a date."

Arianna announces, "We're out of corn husks. I have to stay here at the pub, so I need you to go to the store and pick up some for me."

Sami has run completely off the rails. She rushes Kate and chokes her, "Just tell me where my daughter is!"

Rafe pulls her off. EJ grills Kate. Kate denies.

It takes both guys to keep Sami from attacking again as Stefano walks in, "What's going on here? Stay away from my wife or I'll have you all thrown out of here."

Carly apologizes for putting Bo in this position. Bo says he thinks he should have been more careful when she first came to Salem, "I'm not in the best of places either and it felt good to help you. We have a lot of memories... nice ones. Those feelings and the things we shared... we shared an awful lot." Hope busts in.

Rafe drags Sami back across the room as Kate demands Sami be arrested for assault. EJ says they have proof Kate was involved with the Syd-napping. Kate denies. EJ says he knows Kate purchased the incriminating pair of boots, "Owning a pair of boots like that should be grounds to have you arrested without committing a crime."

Kate says after she bought them she decided she didn't like them, "My vanity made me return those boots." She reaches in her purse, pulls out the return receipt and shows it to EJ. Then she points at Sami, "Now will someone remove that piece of trash from my living room?" Rafe takes out the trash.

Out in the foyer, Rafe assures Sami they will find the woman with the boots.

Anna photographs Sydney, "Smile for me.. yeah... perfect!"

Back at Sami's place, Rafe apologizes for telling Sami about Kate until he was sure she was the culprit, "Hang in there."

Mia says she wants to go to the dance with Will. She says she agreed to go with Chad so she wouldn't hurt him. Maggie comes in. Will tells Mia he'll be there at seven and leaves. Maggie's radar goes up and she asks Mia what's up. Mia tells her about the double booking.

Meanwhile, dateless Chad bumps into dateless Gabi. She asks about the dance, "I thought you were going with Mia, and you aren't even close to being ready. Girls like it when a guy showers."

He tells her about the mixup, "Mia's going with Will." She tells him about the corn husk mission. Chad seizes the opportunity and invites her to the dance. Gabi gets indignant, "What, you're inviting me just because you got dumped? And you think I have nothing better to do." Now that she's gone through the motions of saving her honor, Gabi immediately agrees to go with him, "If you take a shower."

Hope tells Carly she knows about the corpse caper and asks if Carly is all right. Carly just says Vivian never changes, "Age hasn't improved her." She leaves.

Hope says she's there to talk to Bo about Christmas, "Gram isn't having it this year, so the family thinks we should have it here. They think it'll bring us back together."

Bo asks, "Is that what you want?"

Stefano serves Kate a drink and apologizes for EJ's attitude. Lexie calls and tells Stefano she won't be there for Christmas.

Arianna finds EJ brooding at the pub. He apologizes again for his outburst. Arianna says she understands he did it because he's under a lot of stress. He tells her they got a lead today, but it turned out to be a dead end. Arianna empathizes, "If the person who took her saw the look in your eyes, she would give Sydney back." The dim bulb inside EJ's head makes an attempt to glow. He gets and idea, wishes her a merry Christmas, gives her a peck on the cheek and leaves.

Corn husk-less Gabi returns and tells Arianna she has a date for the dance, "I don't' have anything to wear."

"That's why God gave you a big sister," says Arianna.

"Too bad He didn't give me one with taste in clothes," says Gabi.

Mia wonders if Maggie is mad at her for liking the fact that Chad was talking to her and wanting to take her to the dance. Perky Maggie says, "What? A young girl pleased that a young boy paid attention to her and asked her out? I've never heard of such a thing. Just enjoy the dance. You really shouldn't over-think things."

"Usually under-thinking is my problem, especially when I'm in the back seat of a car." says Mia.

Will is at Sami's place leaving with the suit he has picked up. After he leaves Sami gushes about Will planning a surprise for the twins. Rafe says he has faith they will get Sydney back. EJ shows up, "I have an idea to get Sydney back and I need your help." He suggests a Christmas Eve vigil and asks Sami to pray with him. Sami thinks it's a wonderful idea.

Stefano gets off the phone and tells Kate the Carvers won't be attending their Christmas party. Kate consoles him. Kate thinks her sons won't be joining them either. Stefano says he feels the younger generation is rigid. Kate agrees, But everything I did for Lucas was with Lucas was with love..."

"...and arsenic?" They laugh and Stefano tells her this has been a good year because it was the year he won her hand. Kate reminds him how he got her to marry him, but Stefano says that doesn't matter, "We are going to spend Christmas together and I cannot think of anyone I would rather be with — My dear partner in crime."

Kate kisses him, "You say the sweetest things."

Hope thinks she's being set up to be the bad guy, "Are you asking if I want to get back together or have Christmas here?"

"Answer either."

"I want us to get back together," says Hope, "I don't want just to reconcile to make our families happy, though." They reminisce about Christmases past. Bo suggests having Christmas there knowing it might not change anything but hoping it will, "Like maybe you'll get out and stay out this time."

Will shows up at Maggie's. Maggie lets him in, "You look like a million bucks. Wait until you see Mia." Mia makes her grand entrance and we all admire each other. Will places the corsage on Mia's wrist and and Maggie takes a picture. Will announces they are meeting T-Man and Kinzie at the pub. Mia wonders about Chad's whereabouts. Will says he's sure Chad will think of something.

Chad arrives at the pub to pick up Gabi. Upstairs, Gabi is with Arianna trying on a dress, "I think I look like I'm going to a PTA meeting. This isn't' going to work. I'm not gonna do this."

Hope agrees to Bo's suggestion and leaves. Outside she breaks down and walks off.

Inside, Bo paces and picks up the phone. He calls Carly, who checks her phone, sees it's Bo and declines to answer. Bo leaves a message, "Call me. We're not finished."

Sami tells EJ she likes the idea of a prayer vigil.

Anna looks over the pictures she has taken and chooses one. She gets a call, "Hello. OMG... it's you!"

Sydney eavesdrops, "This guy named 'You' sure calls a lot in this town."
