A Disgusting Liar
We pan in on Sydney as blubbering Nicole sits outside the pub calling Chloe for help. Nicole leaves a message. Sami walks up and offers to help her. "No," says Nicole, "you can't do that."
Kate finds Stephanie at the Java Café. She wants to talk about Phillip.
Nathan and Melanie have been watching a horror film in the cemetery, "DOOL – The Movie." Phillip just happens to walk up and say he's been watching the movie, too.
Lexie calls EJ and tells him Stefano is waking up.
Stefano mumbles, "Nicole..."
Sami insists she can help Nicole. Nicole insists she can't. What do you want to bet we're going to spend an endless amount of time talking this over? "Together we can do this," says Sami, "Guaranteed."
We pan in through black smoke and as we get closer we find Chloe the pyromaniac standing in front of a stove. Dinner is ruined, but it's Maggie to the rescue as she arrives with a cake. "Cooking is not my thing," says Chloe.
"I understand," says Maggie, "Cooking requires planning, concentration, preparation and thought. Given that, I wouldn't expect you to be able to boil water." Maggie shoves the cake at Chloe and explains, "It's an 'I'm sorry' cake."
Chloe looks it over. It's the most bodacious froo-fra laden confection ever, "It's sorry all right," says Chloe.
Maggie hands it to her, "I'm OK with Daniel, but I've never talked to you since Kate tried to poison you. Kate actually beat me to the punch, but we won't go there. I Hope you're doing well."
Chloe gives Maggie her precious moments smile, "I'm doing really well, actually."
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Daniel looks at Chloe's medical record, "DAMMIT!"
Nicole insists Sami can't help her, but agrees to go back to Sami's place to endlessly discuss it.
Chloe assures Maggie things are just peachy between the two of them. Suddenly, she sees she has a message and checks it out. It's Nicole asking her to call, "That idiot teenager is going to sue for custody." Maggie takes extensive notes.
EJ rushes into the hospital. Lexie fills him in. She says she expects Stefano to wake up at any time. "Great news," says EJ. Lexie backs him down a notch and warns him there is no guarantee the Stefano they know will be back.
Back at Sami's apartment, Sami tells Nicole she talked to Chad and then things blew up on her. Now she thinks Chad is more determined than ever to take Sydney. She also says she talked to EJ but Mia is the one who matters most. And, of course, Mia wants Nicole to raise Sydney. Sami believes when it's up to a child, a mother has to do what it takes. Nicole thinks that's all about Grace and why Sami hid Grace's real identity from EJ. She asks if Sami would feel the same way if Grace were still alive, "Would you still want to help me?"
Kate tells Stephanie she loves Phillip and wants him to be happy, "You and Phillip belong together."Phillip tells Melanie and Nathan Titan sponsored this little graveyard movie party, so he's there to cut a check. Nathan leaves and Phillip asks if Melanie thought he was stalking her. Melanie says no, "Besides, I'll bet there are a hundred women here tonight who would want to be with you."
"No one I was interested in was free," says Phillip.
"Well," says Melanie, "Sometimes you have to pay for it."
Chloe recaps Nicole's false pregnancy caper for Maggie. Chloe doesn't think she could survive adopting and then having someone take the baby away. Maggie assures her that won't happen to her. Translation: Gosh, I wonder what horrible news Daniel has discovered in Chloe's medical record?
Daniel is on the phone asking for an expert opinion, "You see, I'm involved with the person in question and I just want to make sure my good fortune... I mean, diagnosis is correct."
Sami can't believe Nicole would even ask that. "I feel what I feel," says Sami, "and I want to help." Nicole tells her she's decided to leave the country permanently. She doesn't know how she will swing it, however, since she has no money. Sami says she knows Nicole is Sydney's true mother and no one can take her place. Nicole breaks down.
Daniel arrives home. Chloe prances out and greets him. Daniel has an olfactory moment, "My God, you're so hot something is burning." He gives her a bouquet of flowers. Whatever's burning, it isn't the kitchen any more.
Phillip says he has to go. He and Melanie exchange good-to-see-yous. Nathan comes back. Melanie is ready to finish their date.
Lexie and EJ rush into Stefano's room. Stefano opens his eyes. EJ asks, "Do you know who we are?"
"Unfortunately, yes," says Stefano.
Sami wonders if she caused Nicole's breakdown. Nicole wails, "Sami I am so sorry. It just got to me when you said no one can take my place. Anyone else would think I'm a disgusting liar."
Sami defends her, "They wouldn't think that. They would know it." Sami assures her they will find a way to work this out. Nicole goes off the deep end, "You are the last person in the world who should be helping me."
Stephanie tells Kate she and Phillip are not getting back together, "Phillip refuses to change (any more body parts) so that's it."
Kate makes the pitch for a reconciliation as Phillip walks in. "Mother, shut up!" There is another little exchange but we can't hear it since the cheering audience drowns it out.
Nathan and Melanie arrive back at Maggie's place. Melanie rambles on about the movie and the fact that she broke a heel on one of her favorite pair of shoes. Nathan rambles on about how beautiful she is. He moves in and they fuse themselves to each other. The kitchen light pops on. Evil Maggie stands there and soaks it in. It seems the lucky couple has a chaperone.
Sami wants to work through this. Nicole wants to blither and bawl, "Sami, what you need to know is..."
Sydney cries and interrupts. Oh, yeah, like Nicole was going to spill the beans. Nicole changes direction and says if Sami helps she could get in trouble and put Johnny and Will at risk. Sami suggests Nicole could just not tell her where she is going and then she wouldn't have to lie about it, "Just give me a call when you're settled in with Patch and Kayla in Bora Bora."
"I can't do this," says Nicole, "I need $50,000 and you don't have that kind of money."
"I know where I can get it," says Sami. She heads out to the $50,000 store.
Daniel and Chloe are in bed munching Maggie's cake. They discuss Chloe's cooking skills. Daniel is OK with the fact that she is a klutz in the kitchen because she has other skills. Chloe brings up kids and Daniel hitches, "About having a baby... there could be a problem. But I still think we should keep practicing."Speaking of skills, Melanie is an expert at running off at the mouth. She bobs, weaves, dances around and makes excuses for why she and Nathan are in the kitchen doing something as filthy and disgusting as kissing. Maggie bawls them out for the forbidden and dreaded public display of affection. They both vow never to do anything so foul, loathsome and distasteful again. Maggie says she knows now she can't trust them.
Stephanie leaves. Phillip tells Kate she has no right to interfere in his life. Kate says she still loves him, "You are doing everything wrong."
Nicole and Sydney sit in Sami's apartment and wait for her to come back with the dough. Nicole worries, "You'll never see EJ again or Stefano or... or... Sami. But no one is going to take you away from me. You are my life."
"Lucky me," says Sydney.
EJ calls out to Stefano, "Squeeze my hand if you understand me... Lexie is here... Do you know who Lexie is?"
The old goat looks up at EJ, "Of course I can see her and I can see you. Please stop yelling. I'm back. What did you expect?"
Chloe thinks Daniel is up to something sinister and has unilaterally made the decision on having kids. She blows up at him. Daniel attempts to slow her down.
Nathan tells Maggie it's her house and they know they broke the rules. Maggie can't believe it won't happen again so she says one of them has to go. Let's recap... Maggie put a hot, eligible young doctor under the same roof with a hot, eligible, promiscuous young nursing student and expected nothing to happen. For her next trick, Maggie will dip a lit torch into a bucket of gasoline and expect the flame to die out.
"I'll pack my things," says Melanie.
"The hell you will," says Nate.
Kate tells Phillip Stephanie has been the one bright light in his history of female darkness. Starting with his mother. Phillip don' wanna hear it, "Go back to your new home and your new husband. Now."
Lexie expects a full recovery. Given that, Stefano thinks he should make sure his will is in order. He asks where Kate is. EJ wonders if he should be asking that in light of "everything." Stefano says he knows Kate had nothing to do with this and vows to stick to his diet. He asks for someone to call Kate, "Is it too late for me to see my grandchildren?"
Sami comes back to her apartment and hands Nicole a bulging envelope.
Nicole is stunned, "How in the world?"
"Just promise you won't tell," says Sami, "When I got out of witness protection, John said he wanted to (say it with her) be there for me and he gave me the money. I knew this was the right way to spend the it. To heck with the fact that I'm unemployed. To heck with having to support my kids. To heck with saving for their education, I want to throw it down the Nicole-hole. Sami asks to say goodbye to Sydney. Nicole hands her over. Sydney fidgets as Sami tells her how much fun it has been knowing her.
Daniel says he went over Chloe's medical records and found there is a good chance her treatment made it likely she will never be able to conceive.
"That's nothing new," says Chloe, "There's a lot I can't conceive."
Kate warns Phillip he's headed into another disaster with Melanie. She leaves. Phillip stares.
Nathan and Melanie argue over who is leaving. Nathan puts his foot down and decides it will be him.
Stefano wants to see his family. Lexie explains it's a little too late to have the kids come up, "Besides, no one knows where the hell they are anyway."
Stefano understands, "But what about Nicole?"
EJ stammers, "Actually... Nicole..."
Stefano demands, "What is going on? Where is Nicole?"
Sami hands Sydney off to Nicole. Nicole thanks her. Sami tells her, "Be happy."
"I've got 50,000 reasons to be happy," says Nicole.
Sami watches as Nicole sashays down the hall carrying her kids' future in a plain brown envelope.
Kate finds Stephanie at the Java Café. She wants to talk about Phillip.
Nathan and Melanie have been watching a horror film in the cemetery, "DOOL – The Movie." Phillip just happens to walk up and say he's been watching the movie, too.

Lexie backs him down a notch and warns him there is no guarantee the Stefano they know will be back.
After a heart attack, a breathing tube is generally protocol because it’s a good idea to try to avoid cerebral hypoxia. Of course, the patient would also want to be treated by a cardiologist instead of a horndog doctor whose only known specialty is patient groping. Stefano’s motor memories should be toast.
Sami tells Nicole she talked to Chad and then things blew up on her.
Instead of getting involved in her problems, I’m guessing that Nicole wishes Sami had a job to keep herself busy.
Nicole thinks that's all about Grace and why Sami hid Grace's real identity from EJ.
This whole argument is stupid. When Sami first found out she was pregnant, she was on the verge of telling EJ about Grace on several occasions but did not because of his involvement with Nicole. Then Sami and Grace showed up at the EJ/Nicole wedding ostensibly to tell EJ that Grace was his daughter. Now the writers have conveniently decided that Sami doesn’t trust EJ in order to justify her baby hiding strategy. Maybe the writers’ brains have been deprived oxygen, and their memories are toast.
Nathan comes back. Melanie is ready to finish their date.
Is there a term for having sex in a grave yard?
”Please stop yelling. I'm back. What did you expect?"
I don’t know what EJ and Lexie were expecting but I am sure hoping for the return of a snarky old goat.
Let's recap... Maggie put a hot, eligible young doctor under the same roof with a hot, eligible, promiscuous young nursing student and expected nothing to happen. For her next trick, Maggie will dip a lit torch into a bucket of gasoline and expect the flame to die out.
Right on Prevuze!!!
To heck with the fact that I'm unemployed. To heck with having to support my kids. To heck with saving for their education, I want to throw it down the Nicole-hole.
…and
Sami watches as Nicole sashays down the hall carrying her kids' future in a plain brown envelope.
Apparently Sami prefers going on Public Aid to using John’s gift wisely. Sami can you say “food stamps"? The whole concept of Sami being BFF with Nicole is completely bizarre.
Nicole and Sydney are trying to score a reality TV gig using a weather balloon! I think it’s been done before. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Thanks for the great hump day recap Prevuze!!!
Daniel looks at Chloe's medical record, "DAMMIT!"
As an interesting plot twist (for a change), they should have it turn out that Daniel tells Chloe she can’t conceive just to get her off his back about having kids. But, no. We’ll have to suffer through the endless angst of a suddenly maternal Chloe whining about not being able to get pregnant.
"No one I was interested in was free," says Phillip. "Well," says Melanie, "Sometimes you have to pay for it." LMAO
Yes, indeed. Nothing screams "Public Display of Affection" like standing in the dark, in the kitchen of a private home, kissing. Apparently in Maggie's world PDA stands for Private Displays of Affection.
Nathan and Melanie argue over who is leaving.
Nathanie should both leave and move in together. THAT would really yank Maggie’s chain.
Loved the picture of Brady and his office accomodations. It also explains why the head of a multi-national empire goes around in sloppy sweats and a 6 o-clock shadow all day.
And could the PTB PLEASE introduce a smart, sexy, WOMAN love interest for Philip? It strains all credibility that the head of a multi-national empire, a decorated Marine, a 30-something-year-old Philip's only love interests are two ditzy girls! One of them barely out of her teens!
End of rants. Thanks, Prevuze. As usual, and excellent start to my day.
PS - Now I am officially FREAKING OUT! Third day in a row an actual word for verification ponies. DO-DEE-DO-DO, DO-DEE-DO-DO
Just when I was starting to like Sami again she goes and gives all her John stash o' cash to Nicole. Ugh.
I am enjoying Chad. He may be the only one with a brain in this town other than Victor.
Ej has been dumbed down and now it's Sami's turn !! Oh joy writers !!....smirk...
O. M. G. OK, Salemites, listen up. If you have a huge wad 'o cash to dole out please stop doling it to bubblebrained airheads like Hope and Sami. Or if you do, for Pete's sake introduce them to a good financial advisor! I mean this is just about the dumbest thing (Sami tossing the money down the Nicole-hole) that they've done on Daze and we all know that's saying something.
And a question to ponder: who would you vote for to be the worst mom to have? Kate, Sami, Nicole, Maggie, Hope, Lexie or Chloe. My vote would be Kate. Although it would be fun to disown her every other day. HA
LOL over Sydney in the balloon. I had to go back and check if it was Sydney or Ciara. And also it's a little too late to have the kids come up, "Besides, no one knows where the hell they are anyway."
The sucker doing your Christmas shopping for you. Ah, yes, the Rafester. Poor Rafe, shivering away all week. Carly should just get him a Snuggie.
Thanks, Prevuze, for getting our motors running on a gloomy day! :D
Maggie is becoming an even bigger buttinski that I thought possible. Stop it writers! Give this woman something more meaningful to do.
Shouldn't Sami be concerned about the legal ramifications of giving a woman $50,000 so she can escape with a child who everyone acknowledges was illegally adopted?
To answer your question about worst mother Bulldog, I would say right now it's Hope. Poor Ciara survives a kidnapping, but Hope won't be thankful until she can somehow prove she was right and Bo was wrong.
Seriously bashing Hope or Sami or even Stephanie..euh whereas Nicole is not a funny bitch anymore but just a pathetic looser..it's ...so...DAZE...LOLLLLLLL
Leslie, the writers forgetting that Sami was on the verge of telling EJ several times he was her baby's daddy is way up there with them conveniently forgetting that Mia took big bucks in trade for Sydney/Grace.
It's been swept under the rug.
ok, Prevuze has now completely taken over my thought processes. In today's cross word puzzle, one of the clues was "chowder morsel."
The only thing I could come up with was that they spelled "chowdah" wrong ...
Chaya - Prevuze is insideous that way isn't it? LOLOL
Loved Bulldog's picture, but it got me to thinking about our more recent DOOL watchers. In order to fully appreciate the picture (and others Prevuze has had) one needs to know the history behind the "scar" cracks.
In a nutshell (NUT being the operative word):
The first time Chloe went to Europe to be a big opera star she was supposedly in an accident and killed. Turned out she was badly injured and her face was really scarred. She let everyone (except her Mom & Dad who were already off the show by then) think she was dead. She "couldn't see Brady until her scars healed".
That was all fine and good when they had her looking like a gargoyle. But after numerous "miracle" plastic surgeries she was down to a tiny scar that could be covered up with a bandaid and was still whining about not letting Brady know she was alive "until her scar healed".
The whole thing became ridiculous, leading to many Prevuisms and pictures over the past few years of characters not wanting to do something "until their scars healed".
Related: Nicole (obsessed with Brady at this point)found out Chloe was alive. During Chloe's last surgery Nicole slipped surgical instruments tainted with flesh-eating bacteria into the procedure. As you can imagine, this complicated things. It also shines a light on how unlikely it is that Chloe & Nicole are now BFF's.
KOTU
Kate finds Stephanie at the Java Café. She wants to talk about Phillip.
Goodness, this woman needs a hobby. What, does she spend the entirety of the day pondering about her kids.
Phillip just happens to walk up and say he's been watching the movie, too.
Well, I can't say I've watched a movie in a cemetery.
Daniel looks at Chloe's medical record, "DAMMIT!"
DUN DUN DUUUUUNNNN!!!
She asks if Sami would feel the same way if Grace were still alive, "Would you still want to help me?"
a non-answerable question, methinks. Don't know why it was asked really.
"I know where I can get it," says Sami. She heads out to the $50,000 store.'
Haha! But Sami is just going to get her former arch-nemesis 50,000 dollars???????
Daniel and Chloe are in bed munching Maggie's cake.
Buuuuutttt... crumbs will get on the beeeedddd!
They both vow never to do anything so foul, loathsome and distasteful again. Maggie says she knows now she can't trust them.
Lock the sex crazed little monsters up.
To heck with the fact that I'm unemployed. To heck with having to support my kids. To heck with saving for their education, I want to throw it down the Nicole-hole.
Must be nice be so casually wealthy. Is that a term?
Kate warns Phillip he's headed into another disaster with Melanie.
What's more annoying about this to me that, as soon as Moral Guardian Stephanie squashes one of Kate's less-than-moral schemes she'll be thrown in the 'female darkness' category.
@Applecheeks
We’ll have to suffer through the endless angst of a suddenly maternal Chloe whining about not being able to get pregnant.
It's a well known fact that all woman want to get pregnant even if they don't know it yet. /sarcasm
Also, thanks to Bulldog for yesterdays welcoming. I couldn't come back here until my scars healed. :/
What, does she spend the entirety of the day pondering about her kids.
More than we can say about Sami.
Daniel and Chloe are in bed munching Maggie's cake.
Buuuuutttt... crumbs will get on the beeeedddd!
I can think of two crumbs that were in there already.
I couldn't come back here until my scars healed. :/
Welcome back, Klaus. You were certainly on a roll today.
I couldn't come back here until my scars healed. :/ LOL over that one!
And thanks to KOTU for the scars recap. I couldn't remember all of the details, just the incessant whining she was doing about the scars.
And I can't decide what's more unbelievable - Nicole being Chloe's BFF or Sami's BFF. HA
The most fun thing about recent developments is that we're going to get a 'Let's Go Get Our Baby from Someplace Exotic and Dangerous' trip with EJ and Sami chasing down Sydney.
In Australia, perhaps?
