Lucas stands in Roman's office in his orange jumpsuit and in chains. Roman barks orders and tells him he's on his way to maximum security. Roman says, "You can still change your mind, Lucas."
"Can't change what you don't have," says Lucas. Chloe comes in. Lucas says, "You shouldn't be here.
Chloe says, "I had to come. I needed to tell you how sorry I am."
Lucas says, "You're sorry all right, but why are you here?"
The big sign in the living room reads, "WELCOME HOME JOE." Caroline rambles on about how happy she is Joe is coming home. A nurse sets up an apnea monitor. That worries Caroline. The doorbell interrupts her fretting. Caroline opens it to reveal squealing Maggie, with bags of food. Maggie rushes inside as Patch and Kayla come down the hall carrying a car crib with a blanket over it. Translation: not only do we not get a live baby today, we don't even get the fake rubber one. They walk into the apartment to raucous cheers.
Kayla shushes everyone, "He can't suffocate in there with all this noise."
Sami runs up to Marlena and tells her Lucas is going to maximum security. She rambles on. Marlena says she will talk to Roman. Sami is soooo relieved. Sami says she's also found out her apartment subletter is moving out with no notice. Marlena suggests maybe Sami should move back in. Of course, Sami can't. That would be an adult thing to do. John walks into the room and butts in, "She would lose custody of Johnny if she does that."
Ava is at the pub on the phone making arrangements to see an apartment. She makes the appointment, but when she tells the person she is talking to that her name is Ava Vitali, the person hangs up. She tells Pete she'll have to live in a hotel because she can't find a place to live. Pete makes a couple of intelligent suggestions like living in the estate she already owns, or buying a place but Ava rationalizes those away.
Sami tells Marlena about the court order. Marlena asks John if he knows something about that. John claims not and says there is nothing he can do. He thinks Sami is being unreasonable. Sami pops and snorts. She thinks John is on EJ's side. John claims he sees both sides. He also knows Ava needs an apartment and suggests Sami sublet the apartment to her. Sami protests. John asks for a moment alone with Sami. Marlena leaves. John tells Sami to show Ava the apartment. Sami reminds John Ava is on trial for murdering Sami's grandfather. Sami also doesn't want Marlena to get hurt. John tells her not to get her hopes up about Marlena and him. He threatens to let Ava live at the mansion. Sami folds like the New England Patriots.
The nurse gives Patch and Kayla instructions on how to work L'il Joe's monitor. Kayla spirals into oblivion. Patch takes her aside and asks if she's OK. "Oh, I'm fine," whines Kayla, "Just tired." Postpartum depression finally rears it's ugly head.
Chloe thinks it's her fault Lucas is going back to prison. Lucas doesn't regret what happened. Chloe moves in on Lucas. The guard standing there snorts, "Don't touch the prisoner. He's already been decootiefied for his trip to jail." Roman storms out of his office and says it's time to transport Lucas. The guards haul him off. Lucas too.
Patch and Kayla thank Maggie and Caroline for helping make the homecoming. Kayla encourages Patch to take a nap. "Before I do that," says Patch, "I want to make one of those 'sleeping baby' signs. That way, no one will disturb me while I'm napping."
Kayla takes Caroline aside and confides in her, "I'm a nervous wreck."
"I can understand that," says Caroline, "After all, you're the first mother who ever brought her kid home after giving birth."
Caroline tries to reassure her but Kayla tumbles into the black hole of instability.
Outside Ava meets Sami. Sami shows her into her apartment, but stops to stare at the balloons across the hall.
Roman finds Marlena in his office. He claims he did the best he could but Lucas is off to the maximum-security section. "Who cares," says Marlena, "I think I might've figured out a way to get John's memory back."
Roman says, "That's good news." Marlena says, "It is, and I need your help."Patch and Kayla stare at the empty crib where L'il Joe should be. Kayla encourages Patch to get some rest before his babysitting shift. More despair and hopelessness sets in. Patch assures her Joe will be fine.
Ava tells Sami she will take the apartment. Sami tells Ava she has to go talk to her landlord. Ava says she has to make a call. Instead of heading downstairs, Sami goes straight to Patch and Kayla's apartment. Meanwhile, Ava calls John and tells him the good news. She says she'll invite John over for her specialty sometime. She'll cook for him too.
Patch opens the door and finds Sami. Kayla says, "I didn't realize that you had moved back to your apartment."
Sami says, "I'm showing it to someone."
Kayla asks, "Is it anybody we know?" Ava walks up. So now Kayla would have to improve in order to be morbidly depressed.
Kayla explodes. Ava says she had no idea Patch and Kayla were living there. Kayla suggests Ava find some other place to live. Ava leaves. Kayla balls Sami out for even thinking about bringing Ava there to live. She hustles Patch back inside and slams the door.
Patch apparently hasn't been paying attention, "Sweetness... are you OK?"
Patch wins the Emmy for the dumbest question in the history of soap operas.
Marlena shows Roman the broken disc and fills him in on what it is. She refuses to tell Roman who gave it to her. Roman figures out it's the stolen disc from John's apartment. He says he can't help unless she tells him who gave it to her. Marlena begs Roman to help her help John. Roman says he will do his best. Marlena suggests offering Rolf immunity if he will help repair it. "For all we know," says Roman, "this disc could kill John."
Sami comes into the pub and rushes past Chloe. She stands and thinks for a second, and then goes back and gives her both barrels, "Lucas is going back to prison. I hope you're happy with yourself."
Kayla flashes back to finding Ava and Patch doing the horizontal hula, "I don't believe Ava didn't know where we live. I don't want her around. And now she has ruined the day we brought L'il Joe's empty crib home."
Patch bobs and weaves, "Ava has nothing to do with us any more." Wishful thinking will get him nowhere.
Kayla sees it differently, "Our baby boy is still dealing with the fallout."
Ava paces on the roof. John joins her and makes up some ridiculous story about how he knew she was there. John tells her to be strong. She is the only one in this town who understands him. "I'll stick around," says Ava, "If you let me move in with you."
Right now, John could do one of those airline commercials that asks, "Ever wish you were somewhere else?"
Sami tells Chloe to stay away from Lucas, "He's going back to prison. Because of you."
"No," says Chloe, "because of you. You'd better deal with it."
Marlena tells Roman John would want them to do this. Roman wants to send the disc to ISA. Marlena likes that idea. He asks her to be honest and tell him how she's holding up. Marlena claims she is doing just fine. Roman doesn't buy it.
John stammers, "We can't do that in the mansion while I'm still married to Blondie." He says he likes the idea of her having her own place where they can have privacy. They exchange their undying like for each other. John moves in.
Over at the Salem Geological Laboratory and Institute for Earth Sciences, a needle begins to vibrate. It goes off the scale as scientists madly rush to take readings. "OMG," yells a technician, "It's 9.5 on the Kayla Scale."
Kayla lets it all hang out. Patch goes into damage control mode. He knows Ava has caused a lifetime of grief, "But we can't let that dictate our future." Self-preservation prevents him from saying the next thing, "Our future is in the future." Kayla says she can't get the picture out of her head of Steve and Ava in bed.
Patch madly leafs through the Guy Manual, "IT WASN'T MY CHOICE. You don't know what went on in that room. I woke up from being drugged. You weren't there. I didn't know if you were OK. I didn't know if Bo and Hope were OK... or Stephanie. Ava was capable of killing all of you. I was desperate. I had to convince her to let you all go. I did that by making her believe I would stay with her. But I told her it would be on my terms. I told her 'Kayla is the only one I ever truly loved.'"
Kayla bawls, "I just thought we had something special."
"We do," says Patch, "And I had a little something special on the side."
Kayla blathers, "I walked in and you were nekkid in bed with another woman. I felt betrayed. Why didn't you tell me about her?"
"I didn't remember her," says Patch, "until I saw her in Ireland."
Kayla asks, "Why didn't you tell me then?"
"I was kind of hoping you wouldn't ask that," says Patch.
Kayla spews, "You couldn't trust me with the truth."
Chloe says if Sami hadn't pitted Lucas and EJ against each other Lucas wouldn't have broken house arrest, "It was eating Lucas alive." Sami grabs Chloe's arm.
The people in the audience move to the edge of their seats in anticipation of the catfight. Unfortunately, Sami backs off, "The only reason he did it was you seduced him."
Chloe says, "He came to see me because he needed someone to talk to. Where were you, Sami?"
Patch tries everything, "I can't ask you to forgive me or even love me. I never deserved either one. When I thought I'd never see you again the worst part was thinking you might believe I'd abandoned you. The only real truth... without you... my life would have meant nothing." Tears, tears, tears. Kayla hugs him. The guys in the audience give Patch a standing ovation.
Roman wants to know what's going on. Marlena says John doesn't want to get his memory back. She refuses to accept that, though. Roman says John is a different man than he was before. He's a man Marlena shouldn't be around. Roman thinks she should let him go. Marlena refuses. Roman tells her she may not have a choice.
John and Ava. Ava doesn't understand why everyone wants to change him. She likes the guy he has become even though no one else does. She asks again to live with him. John doesn't think that's a good idea. Ava starts to go. John grabs her and goes to work. Heartbeat music plays in the background.
John pants, "You still want to go?"
Ava is breathless, "Maybe not quite yet... OK maybe never." And then...

OMG ! Is this Steve and Kayla fallout ? What the hell are they talking about anyway, it was too freaking long ago to remember.
It's about time Higley.
Sami folds like the New England Patriots.
…and Prevuze is flagged 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct. Prevuze, I suggest you warm up your delete key. Honey, I have a feeling you’re going to need it.
Kayla balls Sami out for even thinking about bringing Ava there to live.
Thinking and Sami are two contradictory terms. This has got to be the most stupid set up ever. Sami might be a blithering idiot but I can’t believe she would show Ava an apartment across the hall from Kayla and the Patchman.
"For all we know," says Roman, "this disc could kill John."
A car killed John but he didn’t stay dead for very long. What makes Roman think that a disc will keep John in the ever after?
Sami tells Chloe to stay away from Lucas, "He's going back to prison. Because of you."
"No," says Chloe, "because of you. You'd better deal with it."
No, ladies, Lucas is going back to prison because he made the idiotic choice to remove his ankle bracelet and do a little whoring. Lucas is hardly the sharpest pencil in the box but no one forced him into acting like a troll.
Ava is breathless, "Maybe not quite yet... OK maybe never." And then...
Writhing.
Prevuze, is Ava wearing a black thingie?
By the way, I think we all agree that Nicole is too young to be Max’s mother. However, his sister is supposed to be about 17 and that could sure work.
Prevuze, is Ava wearing a black thingie?
At the moment, I don't believe she is wearing anything.
Stellar pictures this morning - the phoney post office, dill weed, and not being able to live in Salem without flashbacks all gave me a good laugh.
Sami folds like the New England Patriots.
The ref steps in and Prevuze is sent to a neutral corner for hitting below the belt. Again.
Decootiefied
Oh boy! Another great word getting that new Prevuzization treatment.
Patch apparently hasn't been paying attention, "Sweetness... are you OK?"
Patch wins the Emmy for the dumbest question in the history of soap operas....
Over at the Salem Geological Laboratory and Institute for Earth Sciences, a needle begins to vibrate. It goes off the scale as scientists madly rush to take readings. "OMG," yells a technician, "It's 9.5 on the Kayla Scale."
A couple of audience members get up and shout in unison, “It’s about friggin’ time!”
Finally my HUH?! moment:
The nurse gives Patch and Kayla instructions on how to work L'il Joe's monitor.
DOOL writers! Wake up! Consult your playbook. Kayla is supposedly a doctor. I think she would know who to work an apnea monitor.
It's a dark and gloomy day outside, but bright with Prevuze humor inside today. Thanks! Have a great weekend everyone.
Thank you so much for the Steve and Kayla Clip! We finally got FALLOUT and it was amazing.
thank you for the extended S&K fallout clip on prevuze II. I couldn't wait to see what the talented actors brought to the table with it since I knew the writing would probably lack.
I bet it was only viewer flak that made the writers finally address how Kayla felt about the whole Patchava thing.
"For all we know," says Roman, "This disc could kill John." What in the world is Pard thinking? Marlena be WRONG? Never. They'd never have it happen. HA
And another thing - there isn't ONE single apartment, condo, hotel room, house, mansion in the entire town of Salem for Ava to live? That must be one popular place. People must be standing in line just to get into town!
LOL over the dill weed and Kayla being the first mother to bring home a kid. Thanks for the laughs this morning. TGIP!
Applecheeks, I just read your comment from yesterday re Bart -- I totally agree! As hilarious as Rolf has become, and as entertaining as NuJawn is, could you imagine a house with Rolf, NuJawn, AND Bart??? Now THAT would be TV worth watching!!!
Steve and Kayla fallout!! Woohoo! Thank you so much for putting up the clip.
Cfish and Applecheeks - I couldn't agree more!!!
BRING BACK BART!!!!
Thank you, for the clips of steve and Kayla fallout!! I've been waiting for this fallout forevr it seems like!!
Thanks!!
Thank you for showing the fallout for Steve and Kayla! They are the best and did an amazing job with those scenes!
Thanks for posting the clips of Steve and Kayla FINALLY discussing Ava. It's been way to long in coming and I really appreciate you posting it for us.
S&K fans have been waiting for this day for months. Thanks so much for the early clips!!
thank you so much for putting up the clips of the steve and kayla fallout scenes that was very nice of you

Thank you so much for posting the clips of S&K.
Like others have said, S&K fans have been waiting for the Fallout for so long. It was a great treat to see the scenes so early.
Thanks again. :)
As a Steve and Kayla fan, thanks for posting the extended Prevuze II, you rock!!!
Now we know which rooftop Ava and John will make love on. That paticular rooftop sees more action than a bed does.

...or an elevator.
Thank you for posting the Steve and Kayla fallout discussion on Prevuze II. It's much appreciated.
Although I am not a S&K fan(I think they are way toooo sweet) I think it is about freeekin time got around to a little resolution to their situation. I mean how long has it been? at least a couple of months. Oh yeah? Why didn't Caroline ever go see her sick grandchild but goes to see old Vick every day???? And why is Kate always hangin' out there tring to pick up a new playmate?
Why is Kayla so nervous about bringing Joe home? She's a doctor for pete's sake (when she actually goes to work, that is)!
Thank you so much for the Kayla and Steve clip - SKORKS are going crazy! This scene was so long overdue, and MB and SN were amazing - the writers got it right too - perfect and thank you for posting it.
I take it SKORKS has somethign to do with Steve and Kayla?
Thank you so much for the S&K fallout clips. Man, that really hit the spot!
I can't believe they haven't SOARSed little Joe yet. Shouldn't he be in grade school by now?
Sami folds like the New England Patriots.
sooo awesome Prevuze, as usual you present DOOL's synopsis is the most entertaining light. Thanks again!!
Thank you so much for including a Steve and Kayla scene.
Both Mary Beth and Stephen were amazing...fans have been waiting much too long for fallout; and as it turned out, it's been well worth the wait.
"Sami folds like the New England Patriots.
sooo awesome Prevuze, as usual you present DOOL's synopsis is the most entertaining light. Thanks again!!"
Obviously written by a Giants or a Colts fan. He he he he he....
Yes my poor Pats folded like Sami in the midst of a meltdown, but at least I have a sense of humor.
Anyway, Personally I'm happy to see someone addressing the fact that Steve did the horizontal tango with Ava while Kayla...uh....watched(ewwww). I'm also sort of happy to see EJ go back to his evil ways. I enjoyed EJ as a bad guy. Victor is, well...a stroke victim, and Stefano is a vegetable. Salem needs some villains.
Per everyone else's comments, thank goodness they finally had Kayla let off some steam about Ava. BUT, she sure has a selective memory.
She's decided ALL the blame for L'il Joe's premature birth is on Ava's head. I seem to remember Kayla disregarding her (multiple) doctors' instructions for BED REST, NO STRESS, yada, yada, by getting up and running around Salem at the drop of a hat!
Thanks so much for clipping Steve and Kayla. We have been awaiting this a long time. We at steveandkayla.com knew it was coming because Stephen Nichols told out moderator.
Stephen and Mary Beth were both pleased with it and you can see why!
I finally got to see Prevuze II. I agree with you, Applecheeks. According to Kayla everyone else was responsible for the baby's condition but Kayla!
Surely even the devout Payla fans have to admit she was irresponsible throughout the whole pregnancy - even before Ava showed up. There Kayla was, traipsing across the Atlantic.
Im confused, do I need to start at the beginning?
Why is Kayla so nervous about bringing Joe home? She's a doctor for pete's sake
It's always different when it's your own kid.
Obviously written by a Giants or a Colts fan. He he he he he....
Or a Raiders fan. Yes, I'm still bitter.
Come one John, let Ava move in! Talk about hilarity ensuing!
And I wanna join in on the BART BART BART chorus.
Thank you for showing the Steve and Kayla scenes. This should be a lesson to all fan bases. Be vocal with what you want for your characters. Sometimes TPTB (aka TIIC) listen.
Thanks prevuze. I sure do appreciate you posting S&K clips in prevuze 2. I love S&K and Mary Beth and Stephen did a great job. This fallout was LONG overdue.
You are the best. Thanks again
I had a crappy weekend after my vacation plans got rained out. But I admit that disappointment was nearly overshadowed when I came here and found the Steve and Kayla scenes posted early - I have been waiting so long for a scene like that and Stephen and Mary Beth delivered in spades. It was definitely a Friday treat that was appreciated!
