The Lights Are On, But Nobody's Home
Well, the lights are back on in Salem. Max and Stephanie talk about the horrible ordeal. This brings up an interesting question. What, you may ask, is the difference between Salem and Stephandmax? In Salem, the lights are on. With these two nincompoops, the lights are on, but nobody's home.
Max tells Stephanie the moochers in the pub will probably be going home soon. Stephanie says Chelsea just called and Salem U has reopened. "Why should she care," asks Max, "She hasn't been there in months."
Patch and Kayla walk in and Patch reports L'il Joe is alive and well and doing one-armed pushups in his crib. "What's L'il Joe doing in your crib," asks Stephanie.
EJ meets Nicole outside. She's distant. EJ says, "I just want to talk about what happened last night."
Nicole says, "There is nothing to talk about. It was sex. No big deal."
"I've been hearing that a lot lately," says EJ.
Abe says, "Paul's disappearance is the key to cracking the case."
Bo mulls it over, "Let's see... Paul's disappearance is the key to his disappearance. Makes sense to me. I think John is behind this."
They speculate on whether the culprit is John or Phillip as Morgan comes in. Roman shows her the letter as Phillip watches.
Patch and Kayla listen as Max tells Stephanie he's going to need help finding his sister and that's why he invited Patch and Kayla, "Now that L'il Joe is on his own, I thought they might have some time on their hands."
"I didn't know you had a sister," says his sister.
Nicole remains aloof as EJ asks for two minutes. "That's longer than you took last night," says Nicole. He tells her last night was more than just sex. He knows it was special. Nicole thinks it was special, too. Trent walks up and spoils the mood.
Phillip listens as the boys tell Morgan about the letter. They hand it to her. Morgan thinks Chloe is lying because she's jealous of Morgan's relationship with Phillip. Phillip walks in and asks what's going on.
Max tells the tale of Trent. He asks for Patch and Kayla's help. Patch says Max can count on them. Kayla wishes Max would have come to them sooner.
"You were kinda busy," says Max.
"What," asks Kayla, "Finding your sister who may not even exist is a lot more important than that baby thing we went through." She also says Max needs to tell Caroline about this. Max goes over to her. Stephanie thanks them for going easy on Max. Oh, they are so understanding. Stephanie tells them Trent is a creep. Macho Patch jumps all over her, "I want you to stay away from him. I want you to promise me."
Stephanie says, "I'm sorry I can't do that."
Trent smooches Nicole. He tells EJ Nicole is an old friend. He says he was surprised to find her in Salem. EJ and Trent introduce themselves.
Patch lectures. Patch rants. Patch orders. Stephanie shuts him down and Kayla backs her up. Patch looks into his lap and notices something is missing. Stephanie gives them the alleged sister's phone number in Europe. Patch says he will make a few calls. He gets up to leave and Kayla hands him a bag, "You forgot these."
Kayla tells Stephanie she is glad Max trusted them and hopes it all works out.
Max tells Caroline he has something else to tell her about his biological father.
EJ and Trent make small talk. Trent says he needs a new attorney. EJ gives him his card. Trent tells EJ he's the dean of Physics over at the University, "Nicole and I go way back, don't we Nicole?"
Phillip says he's there to meet with Lucas' lawyer. The boys want him to leave. Phillip tells Morgan to call if she needs anything. He leaves as Chloe walks into the station. She asks Phillip why he is there and then sees Morgan sitting in Roman's office, "Oh, now I see why you're here."
Morgan opens the letter and reads, "Dear Morgan... I have a confession. It's time you knew the truth about your father. I'm sorry. I never wanted to embarrass you. I have enemies and that's why I have to leave. I want you to be happy and live your life to the fullest. You're the best daughter a guy could have. You're only an accomplice to one murder. I'm going to give you something important you'll need if anything happens to me. Love... Dad."
Theo zooms into the station ahead of Lexie. She tries to catch him, but he runs away from her.
Chloe blows her stack. Phillip wants to explain, "My relationship with Morgan is complicated."
Uh-oh. Poor choice of words. Chloe hits the ceiling, "RELATIONSHIP? It's certainly more important than your relationship with me. Which is why I did what I did!"
Phillip asks that question all guys have asked at one time or another, "What are you talking about?"
Nicole and Trent talk about how they met. Trent suggests getting together. Nicole suggests now. EJ takes that as his cue to scram. He goes inside.
Trent goes sinister, "Who is he, Nicole?"
"My lawyer."
"Is that all," asks Trent, "It looked like you were discussing something more intimate."
"I must admit," says Nicole, "Our relationship has had its ups and downs lately, but my legal problems are none of your business."
Trent sneers, "Everything you do is my business."
Patch, ever looking the part of the dude with his do-rag sticking out of his back pocket like the trap door to his long johns, calls his buddy Bill and asks him to trace the number.
Kayla tells Stephanie she doesn't want Max to get hurt.
Max tells Caroline Trent is his father. "OMG," gasps Caroline, "That's why he looked familiar. He was here years ago. We met him but he left."
Max says, "I think I might have a sister. And I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go find her."
Caroline repeats, "A sister... Did I lose count?
Max tells her about the phone call. He's not positive she's his sister, but that's why he has to find her.
Trent doesn't like Nicole's tone. He wants them to reconnect but knows it won't happen if she's involved with another man. She wants her to end the relationship with EJ – immediately.
Lexie has chased down Theo and Abe comes out. He tells Theo to listen to his mom. Theo remains silent. They decide to head for lunch even though Abe is busy.
Phillip gets a call. He takes it and then tells Chloe his meeting with Mickey has been postponed. He isn't sure what will happen to Lucas. He doesn't understand why Lucas would break his house arrest. Chloe knows he had a good reason. She tells Phillip she's there to review her statement with Roman. She gets back on the Morgan bandwagon and beats on Phillip some more.
"I don't know what to say," sighs Phillip.
"You don't have to say anything," says Chloe.
Nicole and Trent talk as EJ and Patch watch. EJ fills Patch in on Trent. Patch gasps.
"I don't understand why you are doing this to me," says Nicole.
Trent gives her his creep-stare, "Because I can."
Caroline is all for Max finding his sister. Patch comes back and announces he's waiting for a callback. Caroline suggests asking Trent about the girl, since he's standing right outside talking to Nicole. Max says he was hoping he wouldn't see Trent today. Patch gets the call. We wait.
Morgan flashes back to her goodbye with Paul. Then she remembers having her meltdown in Roman's office. Roman says disappearing didn't help Paul's case. Morgan insists they have to find him. Roman will try. Roman wants to know what the incriminating evidence is that Paul might have given her. Morgan dunno. They decide they have to find what he left her.
Lexie wants an appointment with Dr. Litton next Thursday. Abe, the trooper, says he will be there no matter what. Translation: unless the sun comes up that morning. Abe says Lexie and Theo mean the world to him.
Chloe says she is done doing this, "In fact, I've already moved on."
A cop tells Abe that the mayor is on the phone and wants to talk to him. Abe tells the cop to take a message. Selfless Lexie jumps in and tells him to go back to work. Abe says he loves them and goes to talk to the mayor. Theo babbles as Lexie ushers him out the door.
Abe and Roman tell Morgan to call if anything comes up, like maybe a dead body.
Chloe tells Phillip she's seeing someone else. Phillip immediately demands to know who it is. "It doesn't matter who," says Chloe.
"I want to know his name," growls Phillip.
Speaking of the devil, the cops haul Lucas out. Unfortunately, he's not on a gurney.
Nicole says she refuses to cut ties to EJ. Trent threatens consequences. Nicole goes inside. She tells EJ Trent had to leave. He invites her to talk.Nicole gives him the big brush off, "What happened last night... It can never happen again." He asks why she is saying this.
Patch gets off the phone and hands Max a slip of paper, "Her name is Melanie Layton." Max stares and then walks off.
Lexie and Theo make their grand entrance at the pub. Lexie says they just came from the park, but Theo didn't want to play. Caroline suggests the old standby, chowdah, "Are you hungry, Theo"
"One... two... three... four...," says Theo.
"I'm sorry," says Caroline, "Four bowls of chowdah will kill you."
Nicole tells EJ nothing is going on. He thinks she's shutting him out. Nicole tells him he's in love with Sami and she wants a real relationship. She leaves.
Outside she is silent. Trent smirks. Max watches.
Phillip asks Lucas what happened. Lucas says he can't get into it. Chloe tells Lucas she's sorry. Lucas says it's all right. They haul him off as Chloe begs Phillip to help Lucas. Phillip wants to know why she has the sudden concern for Lucas. "He came to see me last night," says Chloe, "Lucas cares about me."
"I don't?"
"No," she says, "You don't." Morgan joins the party and Chloe does her best southern belle imitation, "And if Ih were y'all, honey Ih wouldn't tell Phillip about the investigaaation."
Phillip rages, "I want a name."
Chloe asks, "Are you tired of 'Phillip?'"
Phillip is about to get nasty so Chloe blurts it out, "It's Lucas and yes I slept with him!" Morgan's mouth opens wider than the Salem Gorge. Chloe huffs off.
Max watches Trent. Trent walks off. Max walks away from the window.
Caroline serves Lexie and Theo. Theo takes one look at the plate and tosses his veggies across the room. John Belushi yells, "FOOD FIGHT!"
Patch suggests Max not contact this woman until they find more about her. Max promises to keep Stephanie out of it. Patch pretends the things in the bag Kayla gave him are still attached, "You damn well better."
Caroline brings Trent his phone and tells him it was in the lost and found. "You know who I am, don't you," asks Trent.
"Max told me," says Caroline, "And once he did, I remembered you. He is my son. I love him and would do anything to protect him. So you are on notice. If you hurt him you will answer to me." No doubt about it, hers are still attached. Caroline leaves. Trent paces and looks inside at Max.
Max drones, "I'm gonna find you, Melanie."

A recent flurry of elevator sex in Salem has prompted the Salem Enquirer to take a survey to find out where Salemites have had sex. A disappointing 0.4% said they have had sex in an elevator. However, the survey also revealed a surprising 78% in Salem have had sex in the shower. The remaining 22% said they have not been to prison. |

He tells her last night was more than just sex. He knows it was special. Nicole thinks it was special, too.
Hmmm, let’s backtrack a bit. Right out of the gate, EJ in the heat of passion calls out Samantha instead of Nicole…that’s some kind of special. That slip of the tongue also makes Nicole a special substitute. Does the Guy Manual label sex in an elevator a romantic first date? If so, that’s really special. The pair had sex on a carpet that had been trod upon by countless shoes covered with god knows what. Oh, yes, that’s down and dirty special. Give me an incredibly special break!!
Nicole gives him the big brush off, "What happened last night... It can never happen again." He asks why she is saying this.
…because this is DOOL or Special R Us.
Phillip rages, "I want a name."
Chloe asks, "Are you tired of 'Phillip?'"
That was special, Prevuze, very special!!!
Phillip is about to get nasty so Chloe blurts it out, "It's Lucas and yes I slept with him!"
I don’t believe there was any sleeping involved just special elevator sex. OK, I admit it. The elevator sex has pretty much grossed me out. Whilst riding the elevator up to the office this morning, I took a good look around. The cherry wood paneling is very nice and the carpet is vacuumed daily but that doesn’t mean I would want to have a picnic on the floor. Then, of course, the space is rather limited. Even with champagne, I don’t think an elevator tryst would make my top 10 list.
Speaking of top 10 lists, that censored link was way up there!!! The “No Slut on Duty” and Lucas being spotted by the security cameras were also extremely funny. Another great Prevuze!!!
EJ's private elevator, Nicole and EJ's relationship having its "ups and downs", and Kayla handing Steve his cajones in a paper bag had me howling on a morning that started off badly. Thanks Prevuze, for lightening up what would otherwise have been a dismal day!
Does the Guy Manual label sex in an elevator a romantic first date?
While experts consider the Guy Manual to be one of the great reference books of all time, it isn't a particularly good authority on that question. According to the Guy Manual, sex in the mud on the 50-yard line in a raging downpour at halftime of the Super Bowl makes a special and romantic first date. Perhaps you'd better check in with Dear Abby on that one.
Thanks Prevuze, for lightening up what would otherwise have been a dismal day!
That's why we're here.
I just assumed when I read the title of this episode it referred to the entire town. :P
Now I can't wait to see Patch and his do-rag. Shouldn't L'il Joe be about ready for elementary school by now??
Loved the elevator sign and any time there is a censored link you know it's going to be a very special Prevuze. HAHAHAHA Thanks for the laughs this morning!
I think these guys need more than the "Guy Manual" they need "Relationships for Dummies!
Abe says, "Paul's disappearance is the key to cracking the case."
Really Abe? Ya think? Click here
Max tells the tale of Trent.
Did he have to use a felt board and his Mr. Rogers voice to explain it to Patch?
What's the deal with Nicole and Trent? We were all speculating that she might be Max's real birth mother, but I'm starting to think that maybe Trent either used to make porn movies and Nicole was in them, or he was a pimp and she was one of his girls.
Hmmmmm makes you wonder.
Prevuze said: ". . .Perhaps you'd better check in with Dear Abby on that one."
As luck would have it, Dear Abby is back! And wouldn't you know she's taking letters from the good folk of Salem again.
These Are The Daze Of Our Lives
Prevuze, you forgot some of the other special places that could have been listed in the survey - Squints and Hope were in a submarine. Squints and Marlena in an office conference room. Lumi in another room in the office. Belle and Shawn in a frozen barn...
And darn! If Jawn hadn't trashed it he and Ava could have had some very special labooooratory sex.
shouldn't that banner have said SlutS (plural) and not singular?
Chelsea just called and Salem U has reopened. "Why should she care," asks Max, "She hasn't been there in months."
You mean the girls haven’t graduated cum lade yet?
Patch lectures. Patch rants. Patch orders. Stephanie shuts him down and Kayla backs her up. Patch looks into his lap and notices something is missing…. He gets up to leave and Kayla hands him a bag, "You forgot these."
Lordy, I almost choked on my rice cake with that one! ROFL
Max watches Trent. Trent walks off. Max walks away from the window.
Whew! Slow down there, Prevuze. This exciting action is just too much. I have to catch my breath.
Max promises to keep Stephanie out of it. Patch pretends the things in the bag Kayla gave him are still attached, "You damn well better."
Well, if you can’t stand up to the ladies take it down to the next level – sniveling boyfriend.
…the survey also revealed a surprising 78% in Salem have had sex in the shower. The remaining 22% said they have not been to prison.
Between this, the elevator sign and the censored link, Prevuze was pretty racy today. Good thing, the show was a snoozer!
Prevuze, YOU and all the Prevuze staff are special.
Chelsea just called and Salem U has reopened. "Why should she care," asks Max, "She hasn't been there in months."
So true, unless Daniel happens to drop by there to pick up a book on surfing or something, that's about the only way she'd be on campus.
I'm really looking forward to scenes between EJ and Trent. The first meeting doesn't sound too exciting but I think those two would play well off each other and might bring out the DiMera in EJ again.
Oh God, is anyone else tired of Max. I wish he would shut the hell up already. *What* is he even whining about??
That he couldn't live with his 'coward of a father', that he was forced, against his will, to live with St. Brady?
Whine, whine, whine...
The last time wanted to punch him in the mouth was when he first arrived.
Max told me," says Caroline, "And once he did, I remembered you. He is my son. I love him and would do anything to protect him. So you are on notice. If you hurt him you will answer to me." No doubt about it, hers are still attached. Caroline leaves. Trent paces and looks inside at Max.
Caroline put Trent on notice, eh? She may need one of these:
http://www.shipbrook.com/onnotice/
I put him on notice for her.
http://www.shipbrook.com/onnotice/
Guess linking doesn't work for me.
Just copy and paste in your browser. My notice board should be easily found.
I cannot stand AVA and JOHN. Jolena belong together. Not the other way around. Sami and EJ are so obviously meant for one another. Get over Lucas already. Lucas and Chloe deserve each other. Let Sami and EJ get back together. I think Nicole needs to be with Dr. Dan and Chelsea needs to get back with Nick. Just my opinion.
Anyone notice Max drinking a bottled water, in the newly 'green' Brady Pub?
