Stop The Music – I'm Tired Of This Dance
Shawn and Belle come up to the door of their apartment. Shawn stomps ahead as Belle tries to catch up, "Shawn, come on, don't walk away from me."
"It's either that or we start fighting again," he says, "I don't want to do that. So, come on, give me the keys."
Belle knows that being an obstinate little snot will solve everything, "No."
They argue over the keys. Belle swears she didn't so anything wrong that night. He thinks she destroyed his career before it started rather than leaving it for him to mess up later.
Billie defends Lucas. Bo grills. Billie rambles on, but Bo interrupts, "Stop the music I'm tired of this dance. Did Lucas stay at his apartment that entire night or did he take a little trip over to the church?"
Sami stops Lucas as he rushes out. He says he's got to pick up a package and claims it's investment papers. Sami pulls her standard tactic out of the bag and throws herself at him.

Lucas resists and kisses her goodbye. She pulls him in but he bolts. Out in the hall he calls Kate and says he's on his way and will call as soon as she has the package, "Do me a favor and stay put."
The SPD tail sneaks out and talks into his Bluetooth, "He just left."
Inside his apartment, EJ pretends to be Lucas and tells the delivery company he has decided he wants the package delivered instead of picking it up. He gives the tracking number and arranges to have the package sent to his apartment. In the background, Ali cries. EJ wheels himself toward her room, "Daddy's coming. Stepdaddy."
Belle says she was trying to help. Shawn rants, "I can't believe you let Phillip use you like that. He knew this would ultimately make me look like an idiot, and I can do that all on my own." Shawn says Phillip wants to see them break up. Belle backs down says he's right and gives him the keys. Inside Shawn says he's tired.
Hope knocks. Shawn lets her in. Hope senses the tension. She licks her chops, "Am I intruding?"
"No," says Shawn. Hope's smile fades. It's no fun if she can't intrude. Intruding is her hobby.
Billie remembers her argument with Lucas as Bo gets coffee. Billie says she went to Lucas' apartment the night of the shooting and he was with the twins. Bo says he has already caught Lucas in a couple of lies. He figured Lucas would have confided in his big sister. Bo puts the squeeze on, "You know, in your position you have to keep a good relationship with the cops. It's good for business."
Billie gasps, "Are you threatening me?"
"Just asking for the truth," says the coy cop.
Billie sighs, "OK you're right. Lucas did go out. And he went to the church."
EJ tends to Ali in the next room. He says he wishes he could raise her and her brother in Tuscany. As he walks out into the living room he says, "Alice Caroline DiMera wounds better than Alice Caroline Horton." He thinks she has a lot of Sami in her. As he makes over Ali, the camera starts at his feet and slowly pans upward because they think the audience is as dumb as the people who write this stuff and probably hasn't noticed he's moving around better than Helio Castroneves on Dancing With The Stars. Either that or it's just a gratuitous look at EJ's bod.
Sami pounds and asks why he locked the door.
"Because busybodies like you just keep coming in," he says. He zoops back into the wheelchair and rolls himself over. Sami snatches Ali. She wonders how he got her out of the crib from the wheelchair.
Hope says she is just there to say hi but thinks this might be a bad time, meaning for Hope, it's a good time. Belle takes out her cell phone and announces, "I'm going to go check on Claire."
Shawn looks puzzled, "Who?"
Shawn asks about Steve and Kayla's car. He says he saw it getting towed. Hope says they had some car problems and moves into the juicy stuff. She wants to know all about the evening. Shawn rants about the reunion. He wants to drop things. Not Hope. No-sir-ee-bob. Hope wants to talk about it, "I've run out of stuff to spread all over town."
Shawn flashes back to Belle telling him they planted the gun. Hope searches for signs of life in the black hole otherwise known as his mind, "Shawn?"
Billie tells Bo what happened the night of the wedding. She says Lucas was at his apartment when she got there. Bo thinks Billie isn't giving him the whole story. Billie comes clean. She says Lucas went to the church but just to watch the ceremony. Afterwards he went to the apartment and paid the babysitter. "I wish Lucas had been as up-front with me as you have been," says Bo, "But what did he do with the gun?" Billie just about loses her lunch.
Sami scolds EJ for taking a risk with Ali. She wants to take the twins home. He wants her to tend to them there. She reminds him he said he would give her breathing room. He accuses her, "All you do is lie to me."
Hope presses as Belle comes back and hands the phone to Shawn. He goes off to talk to Claire, "Remind me, who are you again? "
Hope pounces. Belle claims nothing happened at the hotel that night except for Chloe getting ammunition to blab it all over the reunion. Hope says Belle was still with Phillip and that counts as breaking her promise. Shawn comes out and Hope leaves.
"What did you tell her," asks Shawn.
"I told her we didn't have the night of our lives."
"Good," he snorts, "You didn't lie for a change."
Billie asks how Bo knew Lucas had a gun. He tells her about going to Cincinnati. Billie swears she doesn't know anything about a gun. Bo asks her if Lucas asked her to lie. Billie ducks the question like she's on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney, "Even if he did, don't you think I would tell him I couldn't." Bo thinks she's avoiding the question. Billie asks Bo to cut Lucas a break and leaves. Bo mouths, "SOB!"
Hope comes over and Bo tells her Lucas was at the wedding. They go to look for the nurse Lucas hired that night.
Sami insists she isn't lying. EJ thinks she's making excuses not to spend time with him. He wonders why she is avoiding him if she has feelings for him. Sami says it's difficult for her. He thinks it's a little too difficult. She says he's not the only one with difficulties, "How do you think it feels for Lucas knowing we can never be together. I'm having trouble being free with my feelings since Lucas doesn't accept this. We spent years hating each other and I'm not going through that again. I don't want to argue."
He asks her if she can just show him some affection when Lucas isn't around. There isn't much he can do in return, but it would help.
Lucas meets Kate at Chez Rouge. He tells her the package wasn't at the warehouse. Kate thinks this wasn't a mistake, "Someone wanted that package on the truck." She tells him to get back to the apartment and get the package when it is delivered. Kate wonders if Sami would open the package if it were delivered while he was gone. Lucas defends Sami but hightails it back to the apartment.
Sami says she knows EJ is frustrated. She wishes they could spend more time together but she's pretty busy. She asks for understanding. He says she is right. "Trust me," says Sami, "Things are going to change." He tells her he loves her and they kiss. Sami giggles and says she has to go. He asks her to stay. His physical therapy session is coming and he needs encouragement. She promises to come back and heads for the twins.
Bo is on the phone with Lucas' shadow, "Don't let him out of your sight." He tells Hope Lucas went to the air express office and came out empty handed, then went to Chez Rouge, "If that package shows up the cops will grab it, provided it's on a silver platter ."
Lucas comes back to Kate's table and tells her he thinks he's being followed. He saw the guy in the parking lot. Kate thinks it's paranoia. Lucas thinks it's the police. Kate asks, "Why would they suspect you? No one else knows you were at the church."
The blood drains from Looselips' face. He asks her to give him the keys to her car. Kate thinks this is a lame plan. Macho Lucas huffs, puffs and postures, "You got a better one?"
Shawn stares out the window. Belle asks him to come to bed. Shawn doesn't want to talk tonight. Belle insists things will be fine the in the morning.
Kate and Lucas slowly, surreptitiously swap keys. He tells her to stay until he can get out of there. He stands up, takes off his jacket, pulls out a megaphone and announces to the crowd, "OK, I'M OFF TO THE RESTROOM." His tail watches.
Bo introduces himself to Emily, the nurse who did the babysitting for Lucas the night of the shooting. He asks about that night. She says Lucas seemed a little anxious but thinks that's because he had a family emergency. Bo asks if he had a gun. "Oh, no," says Emily, "There was no gun. He seemed like such a nice man. Talkative, but nice."
She leaves and Bo gets a call. He tells the tail, "Stay with him." The tail says Lucas took off in Kate's car. Bo hangs up and tells Hope, "Kate's involved up to her nose." They're off to Chez Rouge.
Belle asks if Shawn is going to have her arrested.
"Unfortunately," says Shawn, "stupidity isn't illegal. This isn't about getting back at you. It's about doing the right thing." He wonders if she's trying to protect Phillip, "It has to end, Belle. You cannot see him again. You have to choose once and for all. It's either Phillip or me."
Sami finds the package from EJ in her apartment. She looks inside and finds the baby monitor is turned on. She remembers EJ ranting about how it didn't work, slams it back into the sack and looks through the rest of the things in there. She remembers him concealing the monitor when she went into his apartment, "You bastard! You have been spying on us!"
The package delivery guy comes down the hall. EJ walks out of his apartment and intercepts him, "Hey y'all, I'm Loocas Roberts... or Horton. I'm over h'yar with a freend and he's in a wheel chaeer and I'm helpin' him. I'll jes' sign fer the package here."
The deliveryman is suspicious because Lucas never sounds that intelligent. He finally decides it's OK and gives EJ the clipboard to sign for the package. He signs and walks back inside. As he turns, he screams in pain and falls into his wheel chair.
Belle says she knows the setup was wrong. She insists they were trying to help. Shawn says she might have been, but Phillip wasn't. He says he wants it over once and for all and gets into bed. Belle joins him, "Do you want to be alone or want me in your bed."
"Of course I want you here," he says, "But I'm not sure that's where you want to be. Goodnight." Lights out. Belle turns but hesitates. Shawn stews. Belle turns back. You could drive a truck through the space between them.
Kate calls and leaves a message asking if Lucas got the gun. Bo and Hope walk up to her table. "Problems," asks Bo. Kate says no, she's just busy working on a business deal. Hope asks what the deal is. Kate says she will tell them when it's over. Bo says he's confused and Hopes she can clear things up.
"I can answer your questions," says Kate, "But the fact you're confused is beyond my help."
Smarty-pants asks, "Why wouldn't you want to keep your son out of prison for the next 99 years or so? Give or take."
Sami packs things back into the sack and heads toward a door like a steamroller. Lucas rushes in just as she opens the door. He tells her the package was supposed to be delivered at their apartment. Sami, of course hasn't seen it. Lucas has a meltdown.
EJ shakes the package, "Lucas, they say big things come in small packages. You'll have to forgive me but I can't help but wonder how big this little beauty is." He folds his arms on top of the box, puts his head down and smiles like the Cheshire Cat.

It appears the Dynamic Duo is in deep do do, and the SPD is actually going to nail them. Is Lucas as dumb as a box of rocks or what? He lives across the hall from EJ. Where did he expect his package to end up? Hope’s pedometer has got to have at least 20,000 steps on it with the way she gets around. First, she’s torturing Belle, and then she moves onto Kate.

Well, he did close the door before he let it out, and then grabbed his back before he fell into the wheelchair. Apparently this is to signal us with the fact that his back is not yet 100%.

I KNOW she used to be a cop... but I don't think she's still on the payroll... Yet both Abe and Bo feel compelled to give her EVERY little detail of the case! No wonder SPD couldn't catch a snail on the end of their nose! LOL!
One final thought... If you find out your spouse went to a hotel with an 'ex' - wuldn't you be alittle more OUTRAGED than Shawn in acting? I think Shawn has known it all along that Belle feels safer (and more stable) with Phillip. I think he should send her and Claire, (by the way, where's Claire?) back to the Kiriakis mansion...

Prevuze, you are so funny when you write about Hope. LOL She is too much though. She's peeping on Steve and Kayla, listening to Belle's voicemail, and dishing dirt better than Mags. I used to like Hope, but no more. She is such a nosy Nellie and needs to mind her own business.
And Belle should lock her room at the pub. Better yet, move out. Preferably without Shawn.

That's right. John Black had more money than God and his precious little [D]Izzy is living in a one-room apartment above a bar. Of course, it is possible John left her a bundle and Shawn and Belle are too stupid to realize all that green scrap paper John left is what you can use to buy things.
OR, Prevuze, Squints realized Belle and Shawn have the combined IQ of a flea and therefore left the bulk of his estate to Marlena and Brady. Or the cat. HAHAHAHHA

The end of yet another ugly, frozen, dark day. Yet Prevuze and the comments have given me enough laughs to last the night at least.

Did anyone else notice that in today's episode when Lucas said that Sami was "in Seattle" with the twins? And then later, I think it was Kate that came over and Lucas said to be quiet cuz the twins were sleeping. And then later on in the episode; Sami and the twins return from Seattle. Okay...why did Sami go to Seattle and why was Lucas telling people to be quiet when the twins were in Seattle??
And I have brought that up too...about John being a zillionaire and Belle having no money? Why is that? Didn't John leave any money to Belle when he "died"? Why can't Belle AND Shawn get a job at Basic Black? Why can't Shawn get a job at his Grandfather's business: Titan?
AND WHY IS ADRIANNE KIRIAKIS TENDING BAR AT THE CHEATING HEART? She's a Kiriakis! Where is Justin and her kids?
Wasn't that a beautiful necklace that Chloe was wearing? Oh, wait...nevermind; I couldn't see it cuz it was hidden in all the over-tanned cleavage popping out of her dress!
Again, just like Chloe - everyone at the high school reunion know who Philip was even though he had a "new face". (then again; its the same acter as when they were in high school).
