Bloodthirsty Predators

Jennifer comes to her front door and sighs, "Oh, Jack, I didn't think things could get worse after you left but I need you so much right now."

Frankie watches Jack's DVD, "Frankie, if you are watching this I am dead. I never thought I would get a chance to say that. Or maybe I'm not dead. Maybe I'm a victim of the worst writing in TV because, God knows, that's happened to me before, In which case you can hook up with Jennifer, then I will find a miracle cure and come back and we can beat that dead horse forever. Anyway..." And we've heard it all before.

The door opens. Jennifer comes in. She asks what Frankie is watching. Frankie stares.

Sami asks if there is anything she can do to help.

"Keep the coffee coming," says Nicole, "That's about all you can help with."

"I am helping all of us more than you realize," says Sami.

Austin helps by coming out shirtless. He pulls on his shirt and asks Nicole how it is going.

"A few more shares and Highstyle will be ours," says Nicole.

Carrie the tycoon sits at her computer and whines, "It's actually happening. Someone is buying the Highstyle stock. My company is being raided and I can't stop it."

Lucas is soooooo concerned, "Who would do this?"

"OMG," says Carrie, "I know exactly who!"

Phillip comes in with good news. His dad has arranged for a transplant recovery specialist to fly in.

"We don't need him," says Belle, "Claire's fever has broken. She will be OK."

Shawn chimes in, "Zach said Claire is gonna be fine." A room full of stares.

Bo says to an unconscious Hope, "How do I tell you my daughter is the one who hit our son; that I am the one who gave her the car that killed our little boy?" Hope opens her eyes.

"No. It's not true," says Hope.

The cops ask if Billie is sure of what she is saying. Billie is sure. She's turning herself in.

Phillip wants to know what Shawn is talking about. Shawn tells him about his dream. Belle says she had the same dream at the same time. Belle and Shawn go off to the side and decide there is no point in telling people about the other part of the dream. Kate watches.

Billie tells the cops her concocted version of what happened. She was scared. She didn't know what she hit, "I'm coming forward now. I am ready to accept full responsibility for what I've done."

The cops take her info and go off to process it.

The brat comes over to Billie and asks, "What are you doing?"

"Whatever it takes to protect you," says Billie, "I'd do anything for you. You are my daughter and I love you."

"What about Bo," asks the brat. Stare.

"It can't be true," cries Hope, "Tell me it was a bad dream. That Zach is home asleep."

"I'm sorry Fancy Face." Hugs.

Nicole is poised to strike, "One more keystroke and Highstyle is finished." She turns to Austin, "Unless you want to do the honors."

"You make it sound like it's enjoyable ruining someone's company," says Austin. So true, if these bozos get their hands on it, it's as good as ruined.

"Don't think about that CEO," says Nicole.

"OK," says Austin, "Let's get this over with." CLICK. High fives. Austin says, "I can't wait to see Carrie's face when I tell her."

Carrie wonders if Titan is behind the takeover. Lucas said he promised he wouldn't do that. Carrie wonders about Victor. Lucas says Victor wouldn't do that. He guarantees it. Carrie wants to know how he can guarantee it. She thinks he might know something he's not telling her. Carrie calls Becky. Becky doesn't know what to tell the employees. Carrie doesn't know either. Tell them nothing has changed. The company is still being run by an idiot.

Frankie says he was going to watch the morning news for info on Zach, "He's going to be OK, isn't he?"

Jennifer says, "No. He's gone. It was a hit-and-run. Zach didn't make it. But he was a match for Claire. They performed a liver transplant. Zach died and saved her life."

"Oh, wow," says Frankie, "They say the Lord works in mysterious ways..."

Jennifer says, "I don't know how to feel. Oh my gosh, Bo and Hope have lost their baby. I don't know how two people could survive this."

Shawn says he has to go. Kate thinks that is a great idea. Phillip tells Shawn, "If there is anything I can do about Zach..."

Shawn says, "There is... Just don't feel guilty about the transplant."

Mimi and Kate go to get coffee. Kate says, "I'm sure you're still worried about Belle and Shawn."

"Why would I be worried about that," asks Mimi.

"They've grown close again," says Kate.

"Kate," says Mimi, "Your biggest fear is Phillip will be left out in the cold. I can promise that won't happen. This is supposed to be a secret but I guess I can tell you. Shawn asked me to marry him." Now that Kate knows, they might as well post the announcement in the Salem Inquirer.

"Well," says Kate, "That's the second best news I've heard today."

The brat can't believe Billie is doing this. Billie tells her, "You let me worry about Bo."

"Oh, thank you, MOM," says the brat.

"You don't have to thank me," says Billie. The cops interrupt. They ask if Billie wants to call a lawyer.

"No," says Billie, "The only lawyer I know is Mickey. I don't want to make things worse for myself."

Hope wonders how Zach was hit by Bo's car. Bo tells her, "Whoever did this is not really at fault. They probably didn't see Zach."

Hope screams, "Why are you defending this monster? Do you know who did this?"

Sami pops the champagne. Nicole stops Austin from running off to Carrie. He wants to hold off on the celebration, "There is one thing I have left to do, and it's the part I've been dreading most." He sits down at his computer.

Meanwhile, back at what's left of Highstyle, Becky is on the phone with Carrie, "I just got an email telling us to shut down the product line." Brilliant business move... buy a company and shut it down. The money will really be rolling in now.

"I'm sorry Becky," says Carrie, "It is over. Tell the staff I will be in contact, but they'd better start looking for other jobs."

Becky is depressed, "I guess that means me too."

"Yes," says Carrie, "I have to go."

Carrie turns to Lucas. Hugs.

Frankie and Jennifer talk about Bo and Hope. Jennifer says, "They don't know who is responsible, but Bo's car was involved. It doesn't make any sense."

"I'm gonna be there for them any way I can," says Frankie, "The same goes for you."

Shawn and Phillip hug. A guy hug. Kate tells Belle she is happy for her and Phillip. She says she heard Belle and Shawn talking. She heard about Zach telling them the two of them belong together.

"I have no idea why he said that," says Belle, "This will sound dumb, but consider it's coming from me, it's like he was an angel."

Kate says, "There is no way you could believe that is real."

"Well," says Belle, "what he said about Claire was true."

"Yes," says Kate, "But you need to deal with what is real. That was your imagination. What is real is you and Phillip are meant to be together. Claire is living proof of that."

"We will be there for her," says Belle, "Phillip is my husband."

"Take my advice and forget about all that other nonsense," says Kate.

Hope says, "Brady you are scaring me. Why are you making excuses for the monster that killed our son?"

"It is possible they didn't know they hit someone," says Bo.

Hope cries, "How could anyone not know they hit a child? How could they leave them there? I WANT ANSWERS. It must have been the most heartless, selfish person in the world."

"Kate didn't have a thing to do with it," says Bo.

The cop interrupts, "We have the person who killed your son."

"Highstyle is officially ours," says Austin.

"Now we have the opportunity to play with the big dogs," says Nicole.

"A part of me feels bad," says Austin, "I regret not finding out who the CEO is."

"You mean was," says Nicole.

Sami asks, "What else could you do?"

"I could get in contact with her now and explain," says Austin.

Sami says, "Austin you just swallowed her company. She won't care what you have to say."

"If she would have been doing her job she wouldn't have run it into the ground," says Nicole.

"I feel bad all those people had to lose their jobs," says Sami.

"I plan on hiring most of those people back," says Austin, "If I didn't go after the company someone else would have."

Sami whispers, "I'm sure Carrie will appreciate that. She asks Austin when he is going to tell everyone about the takeover.

"I'm going to start right now with Carrie," says Austin.

Mimi tells Shawn, "Strange how Belle had the same dream."

Shawn says, "Yeah. And Zach also said Belle and I belong together." Mimi can't contain her joy.

Carrie cries on Lucas' shoulder, "This was downright ruthless. They never contacted me."

"Whoever did this is a real coward," says Lucas, "They just stabbed you in the back."

"They aren't just cowards," says Carrie, "They are brutal, soulless bloodthirsty predators. I will never forgive them as long as I live."

Jennifer wants to hold Jack Junior, but Frankie just put him to bed. He has her sit down and relax. He will make that ever-healing nectar, tea. Jennifer doesn't rest. She tinkers with the DVD. Jack appears on the screen...

Austin says, "I'm gonna go tell Carrie right now."

Nicole pulls Austin back, "Carrie can wait. Now is when the work starts."

Sami tells Nicole to relax, "Work can wait while Austin tells Carrie. Carrie is gonna be really thrilled for you."

"You are freakin' me out," says Austin, "but you're right. I'm gonna go tell her."

Magnanimous Lucas is going to help Carrie get to the bottom of this.

Austin knocks. He yells, "The deal went through and I need you to help me celebrate." Lucas watches.

Shawn sits down with Mimi. Small talk. He says, "Seeing Zach in the dream made things better for me. He said Belle and I belong together."

Mimi is thrilled, "Maybe you really aren't meant to be with me."

"No," says Shawn, "It's just strange he mentioned it in both of our dreams. I told you because I don't want any secrets between us. I am madly in love with you."

"I love you," says Mimi. They go off to see their goddaughter.

Kate watches. As Shawn and Mimi walk back in, Kate picks up a microphone and announces over the hospital PA system, "Belle, in spite of the tragedy a few good things happened today. Shawn and Mimi got engaged..." Shawn and Mimi stare her down. Kate is oh, so sorry, "Oh, I knew it was a secret but I assumed Belle and Phillip knew."

Jennifer listens. She shakes he head... Jack continues, "...And Jennifer, if you are listening, don't feel guilty about falling in love with Frankie. It's not a betrayal. What would be wrong would be you giving up a life of happiness. Other than me Frankie is the best man for you and our kids. So just give him a chance. I'll always love you. But I will not have you spend your life mourning me. I want you to move on. Maybe I was your greatest love, but Frankie was your first. It will give me peace to know you and he were living happily ever after."

Frankie comes out. Stares.

Hope gets up. The cop says, "She just made a full confession. Hope bolts out to see the mad dog, "Show me who she is. Please."

"That's her," says the cop.

Hope sobs, "BILLIE!" FF.
