Your Eyes Could Melt The Yukon
Chloe is asleep on the couch as Daniel comes into the apartment. He stands there, looks at her and flashes back to Chloe telling him they need to talk. Chloe wakes up and asks how it went. We get the idea Daniel was called to the hospital to help with an emergency. Chloe suggests he go take a shower, but Daniel says they need to finish what they started, "What did you mean when you said you did a terrible thing?"
Chloe flashes back to her Phil-andering, "I'm scared that once I tell you, you will leave me for all the Days Of Our Lives."
Vivian is in the Kiriakis den. She calls Victor and leaves a message. Gus serves breakfast. Vivian isn't happy, "If I can pretend I don't want to kill Carly why can't he pretend he wants to marry me?"
Victor is with Maggie. He tells her about all the messages from Vivian. Maggie wonders if Victor is marrying Vivian just to make her smile. She chuckles as Phillip and Melanie walk in. Victor says he's there to take Maggie home. Melanie says that's why they are there. Maggie giggles, "I just love it when people fight over me." Phillip takes Victor outside to talk.
EJ plays with Johnny. Sami comes in and tells them not to play ball in the house. She gives them a townhouse-repair update and hands Johnny a present. Johnny opens it to finds the tiniest FBI jacket you ever saw, from an FBI agent with the tiniest brain you ever saw. Sami reads the card, "Dude: Here's official agency fieldwear for my main man." EJ drinks and stews.
Calliope tells Rafe she didn't sleep last night as he wires her up. Rafe gives her a pep talk and Calliope says she can't go through with it.
Anna drinks juice, holds her head and swears, "I will never drink again. I will never drink again... At least until lunch." She flashes back to her conversation with Calliope, "What did I tell her?"
Mia comes up to Chad and T-Man at the Java Café. They talk about next year. Chad has been accepted to Wake Forest. Mia says she probably won't be around Salem next year.
Johnny sports his jacket. Sami says she hopes Stefano doesn't walk in and see Johnny wearing it.
EJ drones, "I thought your ties with Rafe had been cut."
"Yeah," says Sami, "But Rafe promised to get Johnny the jacket and he keeps his promises to Johnny." Johnny says he misses Rafe.
Phillip says he knows Victor thinks Maggie is his ticket back into Phillip's good graces because Melanie loves her. He tells Victor to stay away from Maggie. Victor refuses, "She's a wonderful person. They don't make women like her any more."
Vivian walks in and overhears, "Oh, I'm so glad to hear you talk about me like that."
Phillip growls, "He was talking about Maggie."
Inside, Maggie tells Melanie she's fine. Melanie worries because Daniel isn't there.
Chloe whines, "There isn't any way to do this except to just say it. When I thought you and Carly had had sex, I did something I will regret until I die." Watching this drag out will be something we all regret until we die.
Anna is on the phone, "Let's take care of this right now."
Calliope asks, "You think Sami's still in danger?"Rafe says, "I don't think Sami's in danger from Anna."
Calliope asks, "So you think it's the person who hired Anna who is dangerous?"
"I'm not around Sami any more," says Rafe, "But I need you to help keep Sami and her family safe." He shows her a picture of Sydney, "You do what you think is right."
Johnny has flown the coop. Sami sees EJ is stewing, "We could get him a mobster jacket and you'd be even." Ouch! The truth hurts. "Look," she says, "I moved my kids in here, but you can't shut them out for the rest of your lives. Johnny loves Rafe and you have to deal with that." Sami starts to call Rafe to thank him. EJ stops her.
Chloe tells Daniel she saw him and Carly talking about her in the park. She says since the false pregnancy she thinks Daniel believes she just makes things up. "I think you may be right," says Daniel.
Mia says she's thinking of moving to New York to study dance. She says she hasn't talked to Maggie about this and her mom wouldn't care. Chad thinks he knows what this is really about, "You're leaving the Java Café to move up to Starbucks, aren't you?"
Madeline and Charles walk in the park and talk about sending Chad away again. "I want him to get the most out of wake forest," says Madeline, "Really I want to stop him from hanging out around the DiMeras."
Sami blows her stack and says EJ can't tell her she can't call Rafe. EJ says instead he's asking if he can call Rafe, "It's time for an olive branch."
Sami is a bit sarcastic, "Text him. Or maybe you can be mates meeting at the pub for a pint."
Rafe says he could use Calliope's help. Calliope says, "I'm semi-happily married and I'm not hitting on you, but your eyes could melt the Yukon." She agrees and walks off.
Sami calls to thank Rafe. Rafe watches Calliope and Anna talking on his computer and Sami hears Calliope in the background. She asks who it is. Rafe evades her and says he's under cover. He hangs up. Sami gets snippy, "Nice talkin' to you, too."
Anna holds her head and tells Calliope to keep her voice down. She tells her yesterday she said some things she wishes she hadn't.
EJ comes back into the rumpus room. Sami says she thinks Rafe is still mad and that's why he won't talk to her. EJ says, "I think it's because he's still in love with you."
Vivian is back with Victor and Phillip. She says she knows Victor wants Phillip to be his best man at the wedding, and asks him and Melanie to dinner. Melanie and Maggie join them and Phillip tells her about Vivian's invitation.
Chloe stammers around, "Maybe I just twisted things in my head, or maybe it's already twisted up there. Anyway, Phillip came over..."
Daniel stops her, "OK, don't say anything. I know the rest." Wanna bet?
T-Man leaves so Mia and Chad can talk. Chad tells her he thinks she's running away. Mia says she doesn't know what she wants, but she just wants to be gone. "That's pretty much what everyone in Salem wants," says Chad.
Madeline tells Charles she doesn't like the idea of Chad hanging around the DiMera mansion. Charles reminds her in less than four months Chad will be totally on his own and thinks Chad should spend the summer with them, "I can't believe I'm saying this. We'll have to trust him."
Calliope and Anna lie side-by-side in the spa. Their faces are all gooped up with green slime and they have cucumbers for eyeballs. In other words, the beauty treatment is working. Anna says she paid for the spa because she had to do something to apologize for the things she said yesterday. She also says she wants to tell Calliope who took Sydney, but first wants to talk about something else.
Sami huffs, "You think he's in love with me? You are the one who said I should move on."
"That doesn't mean he's not in love with you," says EJ. Sami wonders why this is bothering EJ so much. He says he was once a little boy and knows what boys want fathers to be, "I'm not that. That's what Rafe is."
Vivian gives Maggie flowers. Maggie asks for Victor to let Phillip and Melanie take her home, "I know you don't want to be apart from Vivian." She tells Vivian she's lucky, "There aren't too many men like Victor around. You know, men who own the world and are still in the market for a total ditz."
Melanie asks a nurse about Daniel who tells her he's at home. Melanie wonders if that's the case why he's not answering his phone.
Chloe whines, "I didn't mean for it to happen." Daniel says he knows the problem is that Chloe couldn't talk to him so she talked to Phillip instead.
"It was more like screaming and panting instead of talking," says Chloe.
"You told him all those things because I wouldn't let you say them to me," says Daniel, "I am sorry, honey. I am so sorry."
Mia asks if Chad will be able to forget Grace and everything at Wake Forest. "Wake Forest is where you go to forget things," says Chad.
Anna and Calliope get back to her room. Anna talks about losing Tony and Calliope losing Eugene and suggests the two of them travel together. Calliope says she can't.
EJ has his own little pity-party, "I know Rafe is the good guy and I am not. Rafe can tell Johnny to go to school and have a great career. I'm Johnny's father and I can tell him how to dodge RICO laws." Sami reminds him he doesn't have to follow in Stefano's footsteps. "It's not that easy," says EJ.
"It could be," says Sami, "Look at what you've done for me. You've really (say it with her) been there for me. You're not a good guy. You're a great guy."
Frustrated Ejamis in the audience scream, "LISTEN TO HER AND GET IT ON!"Daniel thinks the problem is that Chloe confided in Phillip instead of him. CENSORED.
"I don't care what you did," says Daniel, "All I care about is you and me, right here, right now and WE are going to fix this together." Chloe bawls. Daniel kisses.
Melanie, Phillip and Maggie arrive at her place. Maggie goes up to unpack. Phillip ask what the nurse said. Melanie tells him she asked about her dad and the nurse said he was at home. Melanie asks what happened between him and Victor. "Maggie thinks I should give him another chance," says Phillip, "I can't see Dad going through with the wedding, though."
Vivian rants to Gus about Victor being with Maggie, "If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well it were done quickly."
"I don't have a clue what that means," says Gus.
"Neither do I," says Vivian, "But anytime you quote Shakespeare you sound good."
Calliope says if she traveled with Anna, she would be looking over her shoulder because of her problems with the IRS. Anna tells her she has money and could make Calliope's problems go away. Calliope gasps, "You would do that for me?"
"Of course," says Anna, "We're friends."
Sami says, "You are acting like I slugged you instead of saying something nice."
"You kind of did."
"You're not like Stefano," says Sami, "I see it so clearly. I know you're influenced by him, but inside you're... I just Hope someday Johnny grows up to be a man like his father."
T-Man comes back and asks Mia if she's dropping out of school and leaving. "Yeah," says Mia, "Will you remember me?"
"No," says T-Man, "But Chad will."
"Maybe that was true once but not now."
Chad finds Madeline and tells her he's not sure he wants to go to Wake Forest.
Victor comes in as Vivian gets off the phone, "How much did that call cost me?"
Vivian asks, "You're not having fun planning the wedding?"
Victor snorts, "Compared to planning this wedding, colonoscopies can be fun."
Vivian announces, "I pushed up the wedding date." Victor is in the middle of taking a drink and he spits it all over the room.
Maggie comes in as Melanie leaves another message for Daniel. She tells Maggie she's worried.
Daniel gets off the phone after making an appointment. He tells Chloe this could be interesting, and scary, but therapy is what they need, "No more secrets ever again." Hugs... and guilt.
Sami asks EJ to sit down. He sits beside her. Sami tells him worrying about his kids is part of what makes him a good father, "No one will ever take your place in your kids' hearts. And I wouldn't have it any other way."
Calliope falls apart because Anna is being so nice. Anna reminds her, "You said it was fate that brought us together."
"It wasn't fate," yells Calliope.
Rafe watches and coaches, "Don't tell her..."
Anna hugs Calliope. As she pulls away, the flower on the front of Calliope's blouse comes off and Anna discovers the wire. Oops.

Are you kidding me? Seriously, Rafe put a wire under a flower? What a dolt.
Berg, this is RAFE we are talking about!! We are lucky he didn't just have Calliope hold a mike up to her mouth...LOL....
The propping of Rafe is just too too much !! WRITERS STOP IT ! IT IS RIDICULOUS MOST OF US DON'T BUY IT ! ACTUALLY WE JUST MAJORLY EYEROLL AND ARE ANNOYED ABOUT IT !
Johnny who misses Rafe is as believable as Ari is an ex-drug-dealer which means NOT ! And Sami is not in danger in any shape or form; she is not the damsell in distress who needs to be saved..writers writers you are confused Sami IS NOT Marlena or Belle or Carrie I REPEAT Sami is not Marlena or Belle or Carrie !! Stop insulting your audience !
Ah it's good to say it like it is.
Even if these morons of writers don't read it..sigh...
Phil-andering. Awesome.
Johnny opens it to finds the tiniest FBI jacket you ever saw, from an FBI agent with the tiniest brain you ever saw.
This is all kinds of inappropriate. Rafe is moving heaven and earth to try to pin the Sydnapping on EJ, and EJ knows it. For some reason, the Rafester thinks it’s an excellent idea to gift EJ’s son an FBI jacket. Either Rafe’s incredibly insensitive or enjoys the sport of bear baiting.
“I will never drink again... At least until lunch."
I must admit that I can relate. Been there – done that.
“Johnny loves Rafe and you have to deal with that."
Sami and Rafe have had an “off again - on again” relationship, so I have a hard time believing that Johnny has formed much of an attachment to Rafe. With EJ and Will in his life, Johnny has ample opportunity for male bonding. Besides, Sami has supposedly broken off with Rafe. Johnny is four. If Rafe is really no longer part of Sami’s life, Johnny will eventually dump the FBI jacket for a super hero T-shirt, and Rafe will be forgotten. Even for a plot device, that’s a stupid thing for Sami to say.
"You're leaving the Java Café to move up to Starbucks, aren't you?"
Heck yes! More expensive coffee means bigger tips.
Rafe evades her and says he's under cover. He hangs up.
He’s on the job. Why did he answer the phone?
"Yeah," says Mia, "Will you remember me?"
"No," says T-Man, "But Chad will."
T-Man – don’t hold back. Tell Mia how you really feel.
Chad finds Madeline and tells her he's not sure he wants to go to Wake Forest.
Chad would rather attend a top party school like the University of Texas.
A wire in the flower – LOL!!!!!! Such silliness! Whoops – I think Rafe has blown his cover as well as taxpayers’ money. As compensation, the faithful Prevuzites are treated to yet another hysterical censored link. Bulldog – that is sooooooo true! LOL!!!!!!
“Johnny loves Rafe and you have to deal with that."
This is even less understandable when you consider how much Sami made a stink about EJ crossing a line with Ali in the safehouse. She seems to have a definite idea of fathers and their children and it boggles the mind that she thinks it is okay for Rafe to make the kids his and take over as daddy. Maybe this is vindictive knife-twisting on Sami's part and clueless stupidity on Rafe's, but it makes them both look like douches. Ej should have finished his kidnapping plan.
Now as far as EJ's low self-esteem...EJ doesn't just feel like a criminal; he is one. If his kids are so important to him and he doesn't want there bad judgment, perhaps he should take this as a sign that he should man-up and change?
Well Square, that is what Sami said. He doesn't have to be a criminal.
“They don't make women like her any more."
HELLO!! [pounding in the Prevuze Compound door] Prevuze, are you in there? Wake up! Where’s the snarky comment that line is begging for?
"You're leaving the Java Café to move up to Starbucks, aren't you?"
I don’t know if Mia could hack it at Starbucks. I’m pretty sure they have standards for employees like training, knowing what you’re doing, showing up for work and actually WORKING, not hob-nobbing out in the customer area and taking off whenever you feel like it.
Anna holds her head and tells Calliope to keep her voice down.
I’d like to second that request. Calliope tends to talk like she’s speaking to her 90-year-old, deaf grandmother or something.
Totally agree with all the comments about Johnny's "attachment" to Rafe. Loved Bulldog's picture. Looking forward to another great Viv/Vic scene.
Must admit though, maybe it's the lack of caffiene, but I am not getting the last picture. Ah well, I'm sure one of the sharper readers than I will explain it.
Word verification: plorket Even though the last picture laid a big, fat plorket for me, I'm thrilled with the witty Prevuze report today!
Well Square, that is what Sami said. He doesn't have to be a criminal.
Yeah, Anonymous, she did say that but when it comes time for EJ to change it never lasts long if it even gets going. I know the writers are going for some Godfather type angst with EJ trying to be a better man but Stefano holding his past behavior over his head, but you know, EJ is like what? 30 years old now with two kids? Someone is tied to daddy's apron strings and if they can't cut them now, for his children and for the woman he loves (and damn the consequences to himself) then likely he will never be strong enough to cut them. Man up and quit your moping, EJ. That or shut up about how you want to change and accept that you are a criminal. If you can love Sami as she is; Sami should learn to love you as you are.
Are you kidding me? Seriously, Rafe put a wire under a flower? What a dolt.
No, a chrysanthemum.
HELLO!! [pounding in the Prevuze Compound door] Prevuze, are you in there?
The lights are on, but nobody's home.
Johnny opens it to finds the tiniest FBI jacket you ever saw, from an FBI agent with the tiniest brain you ever saw.

At first I thought you meant the snark was inappropriate. If I can't be inappropriate, I'm not happy. When I'm really inappropriate, I put it behind a censored link. Usually.
Heck yes! More expensive coffee means bigger tips
But healthcare for the employees. Gotta give 'em credit for that.
“I will never drink again... At least until lunch."
I must admit that I can relate. Been there – done that.
Leslie, Leslie, Leslie... tsk, tsk. Why wait till lunch?
the last picture laid a big, fat plorket for me,
When ya gotta 'splain 'em, they're no good.
Days Dialogue, someday soon:
Philip: Oh, um, hello, Daniel.
Daniel: Hello, Philip. Chloe told me everything.
Philip: Gee, man, sorry I boinked your fiancee.
Daniel: WHAT???
End scene.
Chloe will end up pregnant. Who's the daddy? Like we all can't see this one coming?
I don't watch Days - I keep up by reading Prevuze - its much more entertaining and I don't have to worry about falling asleep. Quick question though - were Philip and Melanie already married when Philip and Chloe got together?
were Philip and Melanie already married when Philip and Chloe got together?
Yep. But, hey, a great guy like Phillip would never let a little thing like that stand in the way of a good time.
omg why dont they just put us out of our missery and let chloe tell daniel she cheated on him with phlop how long can this story line drag?? and the characters brady, adriana and rafe bore me to death why can they shipped them back to harmony and hire better actors.
The writers must be forgetting that EJ is a LAWYER as well as an ex-race car driver, neither of which are things to be ashamed of.
The writers must be forgetting that EJ is a LAWYER.
I beg to disagree.
First thing we do, is kill all the lawyers.
EJ IS a mobster's son! He doesn't need to change that for the purposes of this show. Besides, the fact that he has a conscience makes him a better man than his father. He doesn't have to be like his father or to let his father pull his strings all the time. EJ can concentrate on becomming his own man. Think outside the box EJ!
So Caliope loses her flower. Yet anotoher FBI mission gone wrong. And they want to credit Rafe for that? He might be boring but he's not stupid! However, the writing on his show is!
