The Rip Your Heart Out And Stomp On It Kind Of Hurt
We pan into the dimly lit Cheatin' Heart. Max and Chelsea stand in the dark contemplating their next move. "Hey," says Max, "We're all alone. This is the kind of moment Phillip has to pay big money for."
"We're alone," repeats Chelsea, "That's a good thing."
Max moves in and plants one on her, "Right. Because that means this doesn't gross people out." He backs off after just a few seconds – when you're with Chelsea, a little goes a long way, "How about a drink?"
"Sure," says Chelsea, "How about your best champagne? Do you have Dom Pérignon, 1999?"
"No," says Max, "But we have Dung Pigeon, 2009."
Chelsea decides to go for a ginger ale instead, "But you would have broken out the champagne even though you can't afford it, wouldn't you?"
"I can't afford the ginger ale," says Max, "But, yes, I would have because I'm crazy about you."
"That's par for the course," says Chelsea, "Guys who go for me have to be crazy."
Bo has yet another vision. Hope wonders what's going on.
Nicole tells Sydney everything is wonderful, "But I wonder why your daddy is with that nasty girl who gave birth to you."
Stefano steps in, "What did you say?"
Sami comes out of the bedroom to see Rafe in the living room. She bounces over for her Rafeunion. EJ watches and wonders.
Nicole rants about privacy but Stefano won't let her off the hook. Nicole bobs and weaves, "It's just that it's a problem for me that EJ is with Sami."
"But," says Stefano, "When I walked into the room, you told Sydney that Elvis was with the nasty girl who had her. I can only conclude that this baby is Samantha's and not yours."
You didn't hear me say that," says Nicole.
"Oh, OK," says Stefano, "If you say so."
"I got upset when I found out where EJ was," says Nicole, "and I think I upset the baby, and I'm really sorry about that."
"It doesn't sound like your evening is going well," says Stefano, "Maybe I can help improve things."
EJ butts in and Sami makes the introduction. EJ thanks Rafe for looking after Samanther. Rafe makes uncomfortable statements about the DiMera family and Sami tries to shut him up and smooth things over.
Max and Chelsea toast Kate's good health. They share an uncomfortable silence, and Max consults the guy manual to find out what to do next. "Tell her she's the most beautiful woman you've ever seen. If she's as ugly as a mud fence, talk about her eyes."
"You have beautiful eyes," says Max.
Bo says, "We've been through some hurting times. I'm talking about the rip your heart out and stomp on it kind of hurt."
"I know," agrees Hope, "Maybe we should stop watching Days Of Our Lives. I think we should just stay young, naïve and in love."
"The naïve part will be easy," says Bo.
Bo wrinkles his brow. Hope figures something is up, "You're sending mixed messages. What's wrong?"
Bo fidgets, "I have a wedgie."
Rafe and Sami ramp up the bickering again. Sami tells EJ Rafe makes a bad first impression. She tells Rafe EJ is there to deliver the laughing penguin and says Rafe is the one who risked his life to get it in the first place.
Rafe smiles, "We're a full service agency."
Sami goes to get the twins. Rafe goes into a few of the things he heard from Sami and he and EJ trade barbs. Rafe wonders where EJ's fiancée and new baby are. EJ gets nasty, "That and the rest of my life are none of your damned business."
Stefano says Nicole seems threatened by Sami's return. He reminds her Samantha and Elvis have a child, "Don't let their relationship reduce you to a shrieking, nagging shrew." Too late.
Nicole feels compelled to express her opinion of Sami, "That cow has all the allure of Freddie Krueger."
Stefano asks, "Why are you so scared of her?"
Max and Chelsea stroll in the park and sit on the only park bench in Salem. Young love buds to match the crocus which is pushing it's way up through the March snow. Chelsea says, "You think winter will never end then spring finally comes."
"Pitchers and catchers," says Max.
"Huh?"
"Pitchers and catchers," he repeats, "You think winter will never end and then all of a sudden one day it's time for pitchers and catchers to report to spring training."
"The Cubs started spring training just the other day," says Chelsea, "I read where their new facility isn't quite finished and all they have in the outfield is a mud fence."
"That reminds me," says Max, "You really do have beautiful eyes."
EJ raps his fingers as Rafe and Sami make over the kids. EJ decides to take them to bed and Sami says tomorrow they meet their big brother Will, which, of course drops the big news bulletin on EJ that Will is back in town. EJ hauls the kids off to bed. Sami tells Rafe EJ is a good dad.
Rafe gets sarcastic... and loud, "He's so great you can't even tell him he has another kid."
Shhhhhh!
Sami tells Rafe it's not about EJ, it's about his father. Rafe says, "If I had a kid like Johnny with a mother like you I wouldn't be so concerned about pleasing my daddy."
"I'm allowed to say things like that but you're not," says Sami.
Rafe gets sarcastic, "Well, that's sensible."
"I never pretended to be sensible," says Sami.
"You don't have enough sense to pretend to be sensible," says Rafe.
They decide they have missed each other as Rafe pulls out a surprise for Sami. It's a picture of Grace. He tells Sami he went to the convent today, "It's not right that she's not with you."
Nicole insists she's emotional because she just had a baby but she's not scared of Sami. Stefano goes to have Mary make Nicole some herbal tea.
Nicole stews, "What I need is to get the goods on Sami. I need to know why she told Lucas Mia's baby is dead."
Bo evades. Hope presses. Bo tells her he had another vision, "You were in bed... making love to another man."
"Sounds interesting," says Hope, "Tell me more."Nicole prepares to leave as Stefano comes back with the tea. He wonders if it's a good idea for her to go out. Nicole says she just wants privacy. He forbids her to go to Sami's. Nicole huffs out.
Sami says, "There is this moment with babies when you are feeding and taking care of them that you can't stand it any more and have to dump them." Sami says she has to stay away from Grace for her other kids. Rafe doesn't like not being able to help. Sami tells him it's not his problem. She remembers how when he first got the assignment he couldn't wait to get rid of her. Rafe says he got used to her. EJ comes out and listens. Sami says she wishes he could help. Rafe would like to try. EJ stares.
The Max-Chelsea neverending kiss continues. Chelsea wonders if Max thinks this might be a mistake. Max doesn't. Chelsea says she is scared this is a mistake and thinks they should talk, "I think this is a willful denial of the actual situation. If things don't work out I couldn't stand losing you as a friend. I've never dated anyone who means as much to me as you do."
Max assures her it will work out. Chelsea asks, "You're asking me to trust you."
Max mumbles, "Yeah."
"I think that I really do."
Hope rants about Bo's premonitions, "Just once couldn't you see us winning the lottery or getting a babysitter on short notice? " Bo says he has to tell her what he sees so it doesn't happen.
"Then," says Hope, "Tell me this episode will air tomorrow."
Rafe tells Sami he has to go to DC right away. EJ interrupts. He says the twins want a kiss from their mother and a glass of water before it's light's out. Sami panics and rushes in as if EJ just reported their room is on fire. EJ suggests Rafe leave. Rafe declines. He suggests EJ leave, and wonders what his fiancée is doing stuck at home all alone.
'Mary' Nicole stops in to see Sister Teresa. She says she gave her baby up. Grace babbles, 'Mary' Nicole asks, "Oh, is that a baby, sister?"
"No," says Sister Teresa, "It's one of those new houseplants that looks like a baby."
"Can I see her," asks Nicole.
Bo and Hope try to make sense of his visions. Hope says, "So now I know not to invite strange men to my bedroom."
"Except for me," says Bo, "I may be strange, but I'm your husband."
Bo asks if she came home because she wanted to or because of Ciara. Hope gets it, "You wanna know if this vision is based on something real?"
"Not really," says Bo, "I was just wondering if Ciara is finally home."
Sister Teresa goes to get a bottle. Nicole makes over Grace, "Now why did Sami say you died?"
EJ and Rafe take verbal potshots at each other. Rafe thinks EJ seems touchy about Sami, especially for someone who has supposedly moved on. EJ tells Rafe he and Sami share a son so he will always be protective.
Rafe asks, "Protective or possessive?" That does it. EJ blows his stack and orders Rafe to leave. Sami walks back out and tells EJ he can't order Rafe out. Rafe gets a call and announces, "I have to go to Washington right away."
"Drat the bad luck," says EJ.
Max wants to start kissing again. Chelsea just doesn't want to make any more mistakes. Max suggests getting something to eat. Chelsea beats him up for just giving up. Max backpedals and says he doesn't want to talk her into anything. Chelsea puts the date on hold so she can talk to her friend Max. Max may not be an imaginary friend but he has an imaginary brain. Max advises her that she is scared and has something good happening and a guy who would do anything to make her happy. Chelsea calls the date back on, "Max, I love your eyes, too." They fuse and kiss.
Hope assures Bo he's the only man she loves or wants. Bo thinks he can continue in spite of that bad news. Hope wants to prove it to him. It takes Bo a while to get into the swing of things.
Rafe gives EJ a parting shot as Sami walks him to the door. Sami makes him promise to come back.
Nicole tells Grace what a beautiful girl she is, "I'm sorry I was forced to give you to that horrible woman... Waitaminue, maybe it doesn't have to be this way. Maybe... just maybe... in a world full of rainbows, bluebirds and unicorns, this could be a good show."
Bo and Hope take it upstairs as Chelsea and Max arrive. Chelsea thanks him for a great date. Max suggests doing it again. Things get uncomfortable. As they kiss goodnight, Chelsea says, "All good things must come to an end."
"Bad things, too," says Max, "I think this episode is about over."
Dieter comes in to see Stefano. He says he followed Nicole to the convent. Stefano smirks.
Rafe says he will see Sami soon. She asks if what he is doing dangerous. Rafe whimpers, "No."
"You are such a liar," says Sami, "Just be careful, OK?" He kisses her as EJ watches and simmers.
Rafe heads for Seattle. His boss waits for him in DC.
"We're alone," repeats Chelsea, "That's a good thing."
Max moves in and plants one on her, "Right. Because that means this doesn't gross people out." He backs off after just a few seconds – when you're with Chelsea, a little goes a long way, "How about a drink?"

Nicole tells Sydney everything is wonderful, "But I wonder why your daddy is with that nasty girl who gave birth to you."
Stefano steps in, "What did you say?"
It’s about time someone in the DiMera household visited an otologist to have the wax rodded out of their ear canals.
Bo says, "We've been through some hurting times. I'm talking about the rip your heart out and stomp on it kind of hurt."
"I know," agrees Hope, "Maybe we should stop watching Days Of Our Lives.”
Thank you Prevuze. Now we can all feel Bope’s pain.
Chelsea puts the date on hold so she can talk to her friend Max. Max may not be an imaginary friend but he has an imaginary brain.
No kidding. When I watch this episode, I can see I have two clear choices. I can zap the Max/Chelsea scenes or go brain dead. Hmmm…ZZZAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
Dieter comes in to see Stefano. He says he followed Nicole to the convent. Stefano smirks.
Why did this take so long?
Rafe heads for Seattle. His boss waits for him in DC.
Sounds about right. I wonder how much money Marlena spent on soundproofing for all the rooms in her townhouse. Good grief. If I were EJ, I most certainly would have made every effort to eavesdrop on Sami and Rafe’s conversation, and Mr. Super Stud FBI agent should have assumed that’s what EJ would try to do. On top of that, Rafe initiates a pissing contest with EJ. With decisions like that, he could have been making millions working for AIG. Sami must exist in a cloud of stupid dust that invades the brains of all men who find themselves attracted to her.
Bulldog, when Melanie gets screwed out of the alternative fuel project, it’s nice to know she’ll be able to get a gig in a holiday production of the “Nutcracker Suite”. Kate, Stefano, Victor, and a bidding war for a night of debauchery…HAHAHA!!! Gotta love Prevuze!!!
You would think after all the talking "Out Loud" that Nicole does about faking the pregnancy and stealing Sami's baby - someone, someone would overhear her.
I am not buying Rafe and Sami. I think she is trying to make EJ jealous.
Fav. moment...the photo of Bo telling Hope they have to go warn the poor schmuck in his visions doing Hope.
I am still betting that poor schmuck is Rafe.
"You didn't hear me say that," says Nicole. "Oh, OK," says Stefano, "If you say so."
And the stupidity continues.
Stefano asks, "Why are you so scared of her?"
Because the writers can't figure out how to make characters interesting so they drive the s/l with cartoon characters who mostly act/react with the emotional depth and intellectual range of three-year-olds. (With apologies to three year olds everywhere.)
Nicole asks, "Oh, is that a baby, sister?"
One of those sparkling lines of dialog we’ve grown to expect from DOOL.
"Now why did Sami say you died?"
Well, DUH! Ya think maybe so she can explain to people who knew she was pregnant where the baby is?? They really are making Nicole dumber than dirt.
And while Chloe has figured out how to whine people to death (great picture), DOOL has figured out how to whine ratings right into the cellar.
Thank you, Prevuze. You give us something to laugh about yet again.
PS. My work verification is "pardsee". An affectionate nickname for Pard perhaps? LOL
In spite of his promises to always tell Hope about his big visions, why didn't Bo keep this one to himself and see if it came true? Then he'd have a great reason to kick her to the curb. Drat!
My zapper will get a good workout just getting thru the Maxsea scenes. Not just because for some reason they gross me out, since it's been reported Rachel Melvin is leaving soon this is even more time-killing crud than usual.
LOL over "All good things must come to an end." "Bad things, too," says Max, "I think this episode is about over." And the report on the Cubs facility. Prevuze...the best sports blog on the internet! HAHAHA
Thanks for the excellent reporting.
One things for sure. We're getting back the old EJ. Arrogant, pompous and overly possessive.
I just wanted you to know you all have beautiful eyes.
I just wanted you to know you all have beautiful eyes.
ROFLMAO
Great one, Anon.

Berg said "I am still betting that poor schmuck is Rafe."
I think the schmuck is Daniel.
If EG still has feelings for Sami -now is his chance. However, no one seems to be smart enough on this show to know when to speak up...
Why doesn't Sami just tell everyone when she was hiding in the convent a baby was dropped off and she's a temporary foster parent while they find permanent ones. Then later she can say she really got attached to her and is adopting her? Problem solved.
Berg I think you're wrong about Rafe having sex with Hope. I just don't see the connection between those two. But Daniel...hmmmm, now there's a possibility. Even skeletons go in to a doctor's office for check-up's, and by now we're all familiar with Dr. Dan's methods of hooking up with his patients.
Whatever happened to all the secret cameras that were set up in the DiMera mansion? By now, Stefano should know "everything", like he said to John. Stupid writers can't even remember little details like that...sheesh!
I do realize that there is a rumor out that Dan takes Hope for coffee, and while I agree that Dr.FEELanyoneUP Good has all the mackin's (pun intended) for doin the nasty with yet another female on the show, I think this is a setup and it will be someone else. I keep hoping it's Rafe, but that's just me because I hate, hate, hate SAFE or RAMI or whatever you want to call that watch the paint dry non chemistry between Sami and Rafe that the writers are tryin to shovel us.
Wow - I think I need anger management.....
I'm of the opinion that it'll be Hofe.
I don't know if Sami's trying to make EJ jealous, but she certainly is.
For the most part, DAYS is getting back it's mojo.
Is it me or is Chelsea getting to be a nosey Nell all up in everybodys biz like she's the next Dr. Phil? I have a new name for her Miss M.I.T. (Maggie In Training).
We also have a new deal now in my house. As much as Sami is whining about Johnny living in the evil Demera house, I felt this would be fun.
Everytime anyone mentions the name DEMERA on the show, we all sing a horror movie minor chord, do fingernails on chalkboard screams and sounds of thunder rolling in the distance. Maybe, a muahahahaha would fit too. It's kind of fun. You should try it.
Again I plead...someone PLEASE give Chloe a shot of personality. She is SOOO boring.
Re Bo's vision ~ Anyone else think it might just be Bo that Hope's with? Built up drama for nothing exciting...

I totally agree with you Vicki! What happened to the cameras??
